Rant cause I’m not over being 14

After years of not watching Dan (or Phil) I watched “ why I quit youtube” and now I need to rant about it. 

I have no words to descrive how fucking important “Danisnotonfire” channel was for my development, and not only the emotional part 

I fucking learned to speak and understand english because I started watching reuploads with poorly translated subtitles, liked them and wanted more; to the point where I proofread my boyfriends admision letter to an university, and he has a C1 english level!! I made friends that helped me with depression, just because I started talking about "phan" on tumblr; and I found the trans representation and information I needed to not-kiII-myself just cause I learned english from watching Dan and Phil videos. 

And like, i knew how english worked from school, don’t get me wrong, but literally just trying to read fanfics in english and trying to consume all the DnP content made it so fucking easy for me, and has helped with fucking everything.

And listen, I thought that I was "over it" when I didn't watch the new videos as they came out, but FUCK ME when Dan said "I hope you're doing all right" in the video I fuukin cried. I was 14 when i saw the first video, I am 21 now and I think I will never get over this fucking parasocial relationship. 

I put on the video to make time until dinner and now I’m crying because it made me look back and see how much I have grown from a depressed kid that watched “The Amazing Tour is Not on Fire” when I needed cheering up. Like life sucks still but I have hope now FUCK 

I genuently hope those rich fuckers are happy and can actually live the life they worked for insted of just “work for the grind” and I am proud of them.

this album feels like a warm hug after a bad day, coming home and feeling safe. i remember those days when i used to listen to this nonstop. i always knew with experiencing life, this album will become much more important to me. back then i never thought things could get so messed up, but that's life. at least art exists and our souls can rest a bit. all the lyrics, melodies, simply masterpiece <3
