In the First Season of the Mid 2000's Disney Show, W.i.t.c.h. one of the episodes involved the Sheffield Institute receiving a "foreign exchange" student and half the school getting infatuated with her except for the main six.
And by nature of the episode's premise, a couple foreign dubs took liberty in how they wanted to portray this student.
Spoilers ahead, so I suggest you watch the episode first, it is Episode Seven: Divide and Conquer.
youtube
In the Original English Dub, the Fraud Exchange student is called Sandra and has the audacity to say she comes from Swizerland, after charming almost every guy at school, the girls gather to vent their frustrations:
1) The fashion designer in Hay Lin is deeply offended by Sandra claiming that she makes her own clothes.
2) Cornelia and Elyon comment how she seems to have based her terrible Swiss accent off of watching Haidi movies.
3) Taranee has her blood boiled by how Sandra feels inherently superior to her because she read all of War and Peace in *Zhe oRhigiNal RhuShian* while Taranee didn't.
4) Irma just complains that the only reason Martin isn't bothering her is that now he has Sandra to simp for. She can't stand him, but she can't stand seeing someone take advantage of him even more.
5) As for Will, she dicides that Ice Skating out of Spite is a Good Idea if it means she can make sure Sandra will keep her Fraudulent hands off of Matt.
But if we go to the French Dub, it would appear that the people in charge realised that a self absorbed, attention seeking twat would not dedicate enough time and effort to pretend to know French, German and Russian, let alone convince half a school, so they decided to call her Sandy and make her an American, because "Only an American can attain all the aforementioned Qualities" so thought the French Dubbers.
So now Cornelia and Elyon are convinced Sandy got her accent by watching Terrible Westerns.
And Sandy brags about how she read all of Shakespeare's plays in "L'anglais Originale"
I would have made a comparison between the English dub and the Russian one, since War and Peace is Russian, so I thought the Russians will need to localised it in a way that makes sense somehow, but sadly, I don't speak Russian. French is all I could look into.
Hope you enjoyed this little Dubbing Exchange.

The new Skull Island cartoon reminds me of a 2000′s cartoon art style like Godzilla the series from 1998 and the 2003 TMNT. Also, I notice the characters don’t have the droopy eyes that Powerhouse Studios art style is known for.

Around 2002, a SpongeBob artist by the name of Heather Martinez done a “How to Draw” book called How to draw SpongeBob SquarePants. My verdict, it’s really informative!

In the second season of the mid 2000's show W.i.t.c.h. The creators decided the episode titles should incorporate the whole Alphabet "A is for Apple" style, but have the "is for [Blank]" part reference something in the episode.
What I wanna talk about is how one particular dub manage to flip my whole perception of an episode just by taking liberty in how they localised the title, the dub in question being Spanish.
Obviously Spoilers are ahead for the show and specifically Season 2 Episode 8. Here is a link if you want to watch it.
youtube
So the episode's title in English is "H is for Hunted" and in it one of the main characters, Will Vandom, irresponsibly made an Astral Drop Clone to do her chores for her and left her unsupervised. Through the scheming of a Sorceress, things escalated to the point that the Empty Headed Astral Drop became a Free Thinking Altamere [since she deserves a name, I will call her Altamina] that wants nothing but to live through this wonderful thing called life, and she was manipulated to think that if she does not kill the one who made her, she will come find her and destroy her. So the title is referring to how Altamina is being Hunted by W.i.t.c.h. for not complying to orders as an Astral Drop should, and vice versa since Will is being Hunted by Altamina who doesn't want to be erased back into oblivion.
As for the Spanish Dub, the title says "H De Hermana" making it into "S is for Sister" shifting the focus from the characters searching for eachother in the later half of the episode to their actions through out it under a sisterhood lense. Will revealed her mistake to her friends and although they do reprimand her, they still prioritise helping her, just like sisters. And more importantly, Altamina confessed to Will her fears and why she wants to keep living, and Will comforted her without judgement while assuring her that she wouldn't erase her no matter what, effectively becoming sisters.
Add to all that the ending and you get a punch to the guts. The Episode was sad as it was, but let me tell you this, having the Spanish title reshape how I looked at it simply broke my heart beyond repair.
