#20/20 foresight is a mess

For me "things that lie still in the freedom of Iluvatar" always read as Eru actually not deciding and knowing all beforehand, not because he couldn't but because he preferred to leave it undefined. Also with Men being supposed to complete the Music and shape the final fate of Arda, I see it as the resolution not even existing when Ainur entered Eä, and the Music being like a draft of a book with missing scenes and blank pages at the end.

So Námo doesn't - and can't - know everything. And without true omniscience you can't make all the choices at the beginning, because an event in a little blind spot could recontextualize everything around it and your next choices down the line are no longer correct with the added information.

There's also an aspect of "can he do things differently then he saw himself doing?" I guess if he really is stuck in Time that differently - let's say, backwards - his future choices would seem to him as unchangeable as our past ones do to us. But that's a bit of a hardcore proposition, I think that I'll just remain steadfast in my dislike for determinism xd.

Taking a hit for them in battle

Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Sanji cw: blood, war, angst

You didn’t have foresight, not even close. But when the hair on your neck stood up, you glanced around the battlefield for him, and you saw it. A marine had managed to sneak up on him, and the blade would undoubtably connect. You could tell that, with luck, it would be fatal. And so your body moved before you even had time to think, and as you felt the blade connect with your skin instead of his, a cry of pain and relief escaped from your mouth. 

Luffy

“GET OUT OF MY WAYYYYYY!” He whipped his arm around, taking down 20 marines in one swoop. “Second GEA-" 

A cry from behind him made his blood run cold. He turned around slowly to see you on your knees, clutching your bloodied arm. “Y/N…why did you…”

Then, as he saw the marine raise his sword again, this time aimed for you, all of the dots connected and his horror turned to rage. You had protected him from his own careless mistake. He screamed out in anger, sending fist after fist into the marine’s body. He didnt stop until the Marine was a bloodied mess crumpled on the ground. 

The battle raged on around you, but he sank down to his knees to meet your eyes. He could only focus on you now. He needed to make sure you were okay first. “Y/N…” Concern was riddled all over his face.

“It’s fine, Lu. It’s better than you being killed.”

His fingers hovered over the wound, his eyes starting to water. “I can see bone.”

“Luffy. It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything is okay. We’ll get Chopper to fix it later, okay?”

Luffy rubs furiously at his eyes and nods. "Just stay put for a sec, I can handle these guys." He says, standing to his feet. Dozens of marines were already closing in on you.

He takes his straw hat off and gingerly places it on your head. “Hey Y/N?” He flashes his billion berry bounty smile. “Thanks for saving me! Don't do that again though, okay?”

Zoro

“Fuck!” How had he missed an attack so obvious? It was a dirty trick, one he should've anticipated. He had even noticed the attack before it struck, but had no way to deflect it. It would’ve been the first slice that had hit his back, but the blow never came. Instead, as he turned around, he saw you, crumpled to the ground, red staining the soil around you. 

“Dammit woman! What were you THINKING!” He readjusts his swords and cuts down the wall of marines that had crept up on him. 

“Scars on the back are…” you struggle to speak in a normal tone through the pain. “They’re a swordman’s shame, right?” You smirk up at him, which causes him to clench his jaw in frustration. Marines were now surrounding you two on all sides. 

“Just stay down for a second, okay?” You nod and lay back, scanning the clouds for any funny animals or shapes. You should care about the battle, you should try to get up and fight. But you can’t bring yourself to do anything more than look at the sky. Zoro can handle the marines, you've never doubted his skill in fighting before. He'll keep you safe from here on out, you're certain.

Zoro's face reappears above you after a few seconds. “Still with me?” His voice is strained, his face scrunched with concern. His eyes dart between your eyes and your wound, unsure which to focus on. You grin back at him in response, too tired to respond with words. 

“Just stay with me okay?” He pulls his shirt off and begins tying it around your wounded arm. “God, there’s so much…just stay with me.”

He picks you up as gently as he can and starts running. You can hear him screaming for a medic, and even though this is a battlefield, you can’t help but feel safe and secure now that you are back in his arms. You lean into him, trying to get comfortable.

“Are you cuddling into me as you’re bleeding out?!?”

“You’re warm.” Your simple answer makes him feel a little more at ease. At least you were speaking now, and responding normally.

“You’re insufferable!” He retorts, which makes you laugh softly. 

Sanji

He struggled to keep his footing while his eyesight slowly came back into focus. A surprise attack had left his vision blurry an his ears ringing. As he looked around the blurry battlefield, one thing came into focus. You. Right below him. Lying on the ground. Clutching at your side, which is slowly becoming crimson-colored. “Y/N-swan…”

Sanji lets out a guttural roar as he unleashes a fury of kicks against the Marines closest to you “STAY BACK!” He warns. “NOBODY TOUCHES HER!”

He positions himself over top of you, so nobody can ambush him again. He was supposed to be the one taking hits for you, not the other way around. Shame and rage fill his soul. Any time a marine comes close, he kicks them down in an instant. Getting revenge and keeping you from further harm was his only mission now. 

Seeing a break in the waves of marines rushing towards you, he scoops you up and begins to skywalk away from danger. There’s always time for vengeance, but he isn’t sure how critical your injury is. 

“I’ve never seen a battle from this view,” you murmur, trying to act as casual as possible. 

“My dear! You’re still awake! You’re still-" he can’t bring himself to finish the rest of the sentence. 

It hurts to laugh, but you can’t help it. “Did you think I would die that easily?”

He showers you in kisses as he takes you to safety. “Please, my dear, never do that again. I would rather die than see you ever get harmed even the slightest bit.”

The Order of the Phoenix and Why you don’t anger a god.

Summary:

“Once upon a time the man who would one day be known as Lord Voldemort had a granddaughter. Said granddaughter ran away from the magical world after becoming pregnant with a non-magical hybrid of man and god, and was never seen again.”

When the Order of the Phoenix learn that Sally Jackson is Voldemort’s granddaughter, they come to forcibly collect her, her children and husband to keep them “safe” from Voldemort. Percy disagrees with this.

And perhaps more alarmingly, so does Poseidon.

It’s high time I stop gatekeeping my OCs and finally make a master post about them

Vux is the princess of Yuravund, an intergalactic kingdom. Though she can be impulsive and short-tempered, she has a strong moral compass that she sticks to. She’s creative, strong-willed, empathetic, and a natural leader. She’s more than eager to become queen someday and prove what she’s capable of, but her procession to the throne ends up being a messier and more costly process than she (or anyone) wanted.

Zebulin is Vux’s companion. He’s a part of the royal guard, though his skills and interests would make him a better spy than a soldier. He’s cool under pressure and has a knack for seeing the big picture. He’s fascinated by languages and codes, but he doesn’t get much time for that to be any more than a hobby. He’s got some self-confidence issues, which can lead to him making pointless mistakes or needlessly avoiding risks. But at the end of the day, he is a deeply loyal friend and pleasant company.

Alexis was Vux’s mother. She was loving and soft-spoken, but that’s not to be confused with being unopinionated. She was very open and caring with Vux, but closed off with the general public. Though she was tight-lipped about her past, it was speculated that a tragic series of events led her to living in Yuravund. She loved art of all sorts, especially as an artist herself. She passed her time creating beautiful, yet bizarre psychedelic paintings. Sadly, she was targeted and killed in a politically motivated attack around the time Vux was turning 20.

Bazzu was a close personal friend to Alexis. They are a wise and peaceful soul with a myriad of psychic gifts, such as foresight and even mind-reading on rare occasion. They don’t believe in a divine right and wrong, rather that every action we do is equal in value. This leads them to be very kind and compassionate on a personal basis, but apparently cold and disinterested to large-scale issues. They are very mystic and cryptic, and whether that’s a result of their psychic abilities or if they just enjoy messing with people is up in the air.

Redd is the king of Yuravund and Vux’s father. Centuries ago, he survived a mass extinction that eradicated his species. He then created Yuravund from the ashes, and centuries later, it became the vast and powerful kingdom it is today. He’s patient, cunning, and charming, with a draw to the finer things in life. He has a connection to some kind of higher power, but how or what it is remains unclear. It is however clear enough for many of his subjects to believe he was divinely appointed as king.

Introducing my clangen clan, WASTECLAN!! I've always loved messing around with clangen and the stories it creates, but I've never really done anything with my cats. So, here I am, starting a blog that I don't even really know how to run... ^_^ Image quality... so scuffed :(

I've already gotten about 20~ moons into Wasteclan, but won't be going any further until I post about the older ones on here. Until then, I suppose I'll have some foresight into the future for these cats...

Wasteclan lives on the outskirts of a swamp. Years of industrialization in the area have turned the surrounding area into a chemical dumping ground. Wasteclan, once Reedclan, suffered a massive wave of sickness throughout its ranks.. This nearly wiped out the entire clan.

The remaining Reedclan warriors banded together, standing their ground and remaining in their original campgrounds that was now filthy and trashed. Scorchstar, taking position of leader, deemed this small group of survivors a new clan, Wasteclan.

Scorchstar! (She/her)

I would barely call what Scorchstar practices as "leadership." In all of its forms, what Scorchstar does to lead her clan amounts to about.. nothing. She scolds cats all day and never does any real responsibilities, much rather taking to berating her clanmates more than anything. It seems she's always itching for a fight, wanting to sink her claws into the next person that questions her leadership tactics. Starclan knows how she scored the position of leader.

Flinthaze! (She/her)

Flint is the deputy of Wasteclan under Scorchstar's, ahem, "leadership." At this point, it's miracle that Flint hasn't dropped dead from pure stress. She seems about 10 seconds away from a nervous breakdown at any given moment. Juggling both leadership and deputy duties, she's always busy around camp and on patrol, barely allowing her a wink of sleep. But it's okay, she says she doesn't need help. She's fine. She says she's fine!

Redlight (She/her)

It seems that out of the three leadership roles of Wasteclan, the medicine cat, Redlight, is the most competent. While awkward and charming in her own way, Red is a generally laid-back and free spirit. She knows what's best for the clan and will always put duties first. While extremely scared of confrontation, she tries her best to put Scorchstar in her place and help Flinthaze in any way she can. However, in the back of her mind, Red always fears that another wave of sickness will rattle the ranks of Wasteclan.

Dreamymoon! (He/him)

A complete hopeless romantic, Dreamy seems to have an allure for just about every one of his fellow warriors. He loves winding stories and tales much taller than he is, making him seem more.. desirable than he thinks he is. Poor guy needs to work on his self-confidence.

Olivewillow! (He/him)

Seemingly having dodged all of the weird and wacky traits of the Wasteclan genepool, Olive's humble, loyal, protective, and a bit sarcastic at times. Timid of Scorchstar's leadership at first, he's quickly grown into the groove of things and found himself looking forward to the future!

Gorgeclash! (He/him)

Shy and introverted, Gorge is a new-ish warrior of Wasteclan. Finding it easier to adjust to the new leadership and clan life than most, he's finding a lot of fun with his grandfather around, Whimsybuzz. While he feels he's yet to prove his worth, he's always working towards proving to Scorchstar that he's fit for the job.

Goldenpaw! (She/her)

Resident teenager, Goldenpaw is a typical standoffish adolescent who doesn't like taking orders from her mentor, Dreamymoon. She's an extremely aloof and brooding apprentice, rather staying in her den and writing Reedclan fanfiction than doing her duties. Scoff, whatever!

Whimsybuzz! (He/him)

Local clan grandpa, Whimsy still has some spunk left in him from his younger days. Loving to play small pranks on his younger clanmates, he gets up to a lot of trouble for his age. He dearly loves his grandson, Gorgeclash. The two of them wind stories and share history with the kits together!

Moorkit (He/him) & Gullkit (He/him)!

Newest additions to Wasteclan, the two half-brothers Moorkit and Gullkit get up to just about much trouble you'd expect them to. Sharing the same father, who is now, ahem, out of the picture... Moor and Gull always seem to be bickering over one thing or another.

The Siege, Parts 1-3 (S1: 19&20, S2: E1)

Part 1

I was trying to notice this time through when Sheppard starts seeming burdened, less ready to smile, more grizzled. I think in Letters from Pegasus when he has to sit there and listen to people be culled, and then makes his video for Sumner, the weight of what he's facing, what his people are facing, really settles down on his shoulders. He seems far grimmer in The Gift, and then here, he just ends Bob. Sheppard isn't messing around. He's no longer the jocular flyboy with smart remarks. He's a man defending and protecting his people, and he will do whatever it takes to make sure they're okay.

Part 2

Sheppard standing up for Elizabeth even at the risk of his own neck is great. I wonder, based on his past history, if he's ever had someone in charge that he could back up with so much trust? The trust they have in each other is gold. (I think this is why so many fans ship them. Their interactions showcase such a strong relationship because they trust each other and back each other and work together even if they don't agree, and they have the same goal: protect their home and their people.)

I love how Sheppard had the foresight to suggest they said a couple nukes. If only someone listened to him.

Sheppard is haunted, haunted, by the fact that he had to kill Sumner. The Colonel tells Sheppard he wishes he'd been there, implying that Sumner would be alive if he had been. He later tells Sheppard that he wishes Sheppard had been there for him, to end his life like he did Sumners. Sheppard is the man they want and need because he has the courage to do the hardest things.

And of course, the hardest thing is making the choice to sacrifice his life for his home and family. And the other hardest thing is Elizabeth telling him to go.

Part 3

S: Atlantis, this is Sheppard.

E: John?

S: What other Sheppards do you know?

*crying happy tears*

Rodney crumples with relief that Sheppard is okay. It's just perfect. And then Sheppard, from the Deadalus, has to stop Rodney from talking about Asgard tech. Lol.

Man, the gut-clench when Sheppard can't get through to Atlantis. Is home still there or not?

S: Well, I'm home.

E: *hugs him* Yes, you are.

Sheppard's plan A didn't work, but he has another plan. While the team works on that, he goes to help Ford. I think Ford is in a lose/lose situation because they don't have the know-how or the time to really help him, and he's not helping himself.

Sheppard trusts his team to carry out his plan so he can go after Ford. Everything works, but Sheppard looks like they lost.

If Enoch and the beast ever have some kind of minor couple spat (light hearted) do they ever do small things to mess with each other? If so what would they be?

Personally I like the idea of the beast tells a Pottsfielder a little too much info about his and Enoch’s love life then leaves for a little while, letting Enoch deal with the scandal and gossip it causes.

This is deeply funny particularly because of how badly this could backfire on him, but the Beast is a creature of 20/20 hindsight and not particularly well-rounded foresight. I could definitely see the Beast and Enoch having a quarrel and Pottsfielders admonishing Enoch over it afterwards, but I can also see them coddling the Beast which he wouldn't particularly appreciate.

Enoch being petty turns into a lot of ribbon tangling, and toying, because he's a tom cat at heart.

Mario movie thoughts! Full of spoilers!

I want everyone to line up and lick my foresighting pussy. I was right about everything except for toad during training and dance party(thank god)

But okay, I'll analyze it in two ways, one as a mario fan the other as an average movie goer

As a mario fan:

10/10 WHAT A FILM! Seriously if you like Mario and his history enough this movie will be amazing. It's reference after reference + new stuff and it respects it's source material for like 90% of the time.

Mario and Luigi are actually brothers that care SO MUCH about each other, it's so cute. Their baby forms show up in a flashback and it shows how Mario always stood up to his bro. It's so adorable and "Mario is evil and doesn't like Luigi" has just been killed in the garbage, buried and had it's grave spit on.

Speaking of the bros, we see the Mario Family WHAT? AND THEY GAVE MARIO DADDY ISSUES? WACK. Like it's a stereotypical brooklyn-italian family, but nice to at least see their face. And it's so cool to me how Mario and Luigi are probably on their 20's, just beginning their careers and failing and be filled with self-doubt, it's nice...

Oh and Mario has a personality now, yeah he's very head strong, daring and brave, only being taken aback when he's in a real tight spot. And despite his chubby physique he's quite the athlete(wait we have seen this type of Mario in Luigi's mansion 3) it's really cool that it took 40 years for him to, for a large audience, develop a life of his own.

Next point: Peach

Yeah, girlboss, uh huh, an actual queen, yes... I actually really liked her in this movie, she is a capable leader that loves and appreciate her people. Her backstory, we see baby Peach, so cute and it actually reflects why she loves the Toads. Also yeah she's pretty strong and agile, but now thinking back I want to see some of her flaws in the (and it definetely IS going to happen) sequel.

Also her and Mario, so cute together, I want more of them...

Speaking of love... Bowser. Yeah he is menacing and a threat, if this wasn't a kids movie I think we would see more messed up things, there is only cartoonish violence which is okay I guess. However, despite being shown to be cruel and sorta of a mad king, he also shows a dorky side. Like "Why does Bowser want to kidnap and marry Princess Peach" It's because he likes her... What are you gonna do about it? He's charmed by her and I can't blame him..

And bowuigi... It didn't happen, yeah. Kinda mad because the fanart that would have been made if it had more than the scenes shown in the trailer would be insane. But also, I don't like it when corporations use gays ships for pink money(it's what would have happened). They did use bisexual light in his speedwagon-esque music number. And what a cool addition to Bowser lore, that he plays the piano.

Speaking of Luigi, he doesn't show up too much actually, he really gets imprisioned and stays imprisioned 2/3 of his screentime, waste of a character ngl, but next time we gotta see more of him. Maybe his lack of appearance makes sense to his shy demeanor.

KONGS. They were great! I really like how the movie made part their culture around kart racing, because as we all know, diddy kong racing for the nintendo ds is the greatest video game of all time. Donkey is actually a pretty cool character and he's really funny too. THEY MADE CRANKY HIS DAD BTW. AND HE ALSO HAS DADDY ISSUES, IT'S WHAT MAKES DONKEY AND MARIO BOND. When Mario Peach and Toad go to Kong Kingdom, they get greeted by a kong that (maybe it's because of the artstyle) looks a lot like DK jr... idk. ALSO DIDDY APPEARS THIS IS GREATES MOVIE OF ALL BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY ONE WITH DIDDY KONG.

Toad is also there, like it's a chef toad, but he doesn't have an interesting name like those chef toads from the first paper mario games. He's the comic relief, but everyone is funny in this movie so he's just here to be next to Peach. Speaking of Toads, Toadsworth is dead... yeah there is a group of advisors and they are just normal toads with different colors and a few clothing details. Which interesting because I could blame Illumination for this lack of creativity in character design, but I know by a fact that this was Nintendo's doing.

Kamek is cute also, the koopas and goombas and enemies designs were great. The art style of this movie was fantastic to me.

And with that I can conclude my view as a fan. Now to act slightly more mature.

If you're not a fan of Mario, this movie will be a 5/10.

It's pretty good™, and that could be seen as a positive but we all know a "good" movie isn't enough, specially in animation, specially in a blockbuster animation. Don't get me wrong, you can see that I fucking adored this movie. However, if you're going to watch it completely devoid of any facts about Mario and gang, it's another movie about believing in yourself, protecting those you love and standing up for what's right.

And I know Mario isn't known for it's complex stories and carefully thought out world building and lore, but you can find another movie just like this one. What I'm trying to say is there is potential in this galaxy they created for the movie, though it's not explored.

I watched it with a couple of friends and one them said that this movie is more for mario nerds that grew up with playing the games back when nintendo was accesible rather than current day kids that watch a lot of youtube and have other interests and understandably can't afford nintendo crap. And agree to disagree, I'm definetely proving her point with this extensive review about a property I played with when I was 8 y/o. However, there were plenty of kids in our session, and like I said this feels like a genereic kids movie, so this is a movie for children, no denial, but it also relies on older fans to really profit.

In matters of animation, it's pretty good, expected from two big names like Nintendo and Illumination. As I sais the art style is reely cool, I like how it adapted the Kotabe/Nakaue art style mixing it with the smooth illumination style, take that as you will.

And okay, Illumination kids movie, you know what that means, copyrighted 80's music, seriously, Mr. Blue Sky, Holding out for a Hero, Take on Me. My honest reaction to that:

At least they put the dk rap when dk is introduced.

Also there were a few problems in the story. This is REALLY FAST. Like they don't even have time to make a misunderstanding when Peach and Mario first meet. They're already telling the toads they'll try to convince Cranky to join their fight. Like slow down jeez...

And hey, How does peach know what a human is? She came to the mushroom kingdom when she was a baby. And how is New York after Bowser gets defeated? They just show the bros moved to Mushroom kingdom. Is there even a pipe anymore? And the pipes just take you to other worlds ig? We're working with little explanation, I see.

Also no Daisy explicitely, nor Rosalina, there was A Pauline second.

But yes, it's generic, but I couldn't ask for anything else. But they better step up their game if they really want to make any impact on Mario's history.

Lister is the best :)

He won me over in Thanks For The Memory. Giving Rimmer a memory to cheer him up was obviously destined to fail, but I love that Lister tried. His lack of foresight seems very in keeping with his being in his 20s. I mean, how many 20-somethings really know what they're doing?

It was his willingness to admit messing up and his willingness to put things right, is something I admire about him.

Speaking of age, the thought of someone being in their early 20s and surviving such a horrific situation adds an extra layer of tragedy to the situation.

He was a young man, with hopes and dreams of a better life, and it got ripped away. Rimmer wasn't much older.

And, yet, he doesn't give up on his morals or his optimistic view of life. He still sees the best in others and is very tolerant of their flaws. Sure, there is the odd prank pulled on Rimmer (like ironing his sneezese or sticking his head down the bog) but nobody is 100% perfect all the time, right?

New Red Dwarf Challenge

Day 28: Favourite Character

No contest - Dave “Cinzano Bianco” Lister.

I’m not sure if it was the first episode I saw, but some time in the 90s I saw “Justice” and was drawn to the fact that this scruffy young slob who in most other shows would be a minor character was the protagonist.  He may technically be a petty criminal according to this episode, but in the scene where he and Rimmer argue about whether to shoot the simulant - whom they believe to be unarmed - he demonstrates a strong sense of morality.  That was the scene which made him my favourite character.

Lister is just a lovable character most of the time.  Yes, he’s a slob, but he has a good heart and knows how to bring people up rather than dragging them down which appeals to me as an optimist myself. The gif below is an early example of him uniting the crew. Can you imagine Series 1 Cat helping to organise anything?

He’s also the champion of the underdog, as we see when he teaches Kryten to lie.  He’s cute, romantic and a natural leader despite not aspiring to be one.  

Just a shame about the tone deafness, but no-one’s perfect. ;)

It boggles me that some people are still insisting WWX was oblivious because he didn't figure his and LWJ's feelings sooner, or that LWJ was a failed WWX in the past because he didn't make his feelings clear, etc.

When wangxian first met, they were teenagers. I think a lot of people forget that and demand an unreasonable level of maturity and even foresight from literal teenagers who just had their first crush and haven't had the time to figure out what their feelings are and what to do with it.

To begin with, LWJ didn't want WWX to know about his feelings because he thought WWX didn't like men - as WWX himself had told him. His actions didn't hint at anything either, unless you're LXC. And even LXC didn't know at first. In the novel, when WWX was a guest disciple at the Cloud Recesses LXC had seemed supportive of a friendship between wangxian, but didn't seem to know that LWJ actually had a crush. At least LXC's later actions indicate that he only found out at a later time. If even the people closest to LWJ didn't know, how could WWX? People seem to forget that despite the great admiration WWX had for LWJ and his crush on him, the two of them didn't actually know each other very well in WWX's first life. When they had the chance to spend more time together in WWX's second life, it only took a few months for them to get married, so I'd say they actually got together pretty quickly.

It's romantic and all to say that they took 13+ years to get together, but we can't forget that the reason for that is that WWX was literally dead during those 13 years, not secretly pinning from afar while trying and failing to figure out his and LWJ's feelings.

We should also remember that WWX died in his early 20s. WWX and LWJ met as teens. It's the most normal thing in the world to be a something of a mess at this age. It's already impressive that they weren't even more of a mess, considering the circumstances.

We can't foget that even before the SSC started, the tensions had been pretty high for more than a year. Later, with the war and it's aftermath, they didn't even have time to get their shit together before the world turned against WWX and the Wen Remnants. On top of everything, WWX had been dealing with the loss of his golden core at the time. With all that going on, not only they didn't have many chances to meet, WWX also had very little time to spend contemplating his feelings for his acquaintance. We, as readers, have the privilege of knowing LWJ is the novel's male lead, so we read his words and actions with that bias. WWX, however, didn't have that privilege.

WXX did the absolute best anyone could have under his circumstances. LWJ also did the best he could at the time - considering he was operating on incomplete information and wasn't actually in a position to do much. At most, he could've made a personal difference by standing by WWX sooner, but then, he would likely have died with him. LWJ himself had to figure out what to do with his feelings, which he believed were unrequited, in the middle of a catastrophic situation that kept escalating every time he blinked and had no solution. Where he was powerless to change anything, and where the person he loved and his family stood on opposite sides, all the while operating on incomplete information. When he was in his early 20s.

In any case, they both did the best they could, at an impressively young age. To want them to have time to figure out their personal feelings on top of that is asking for too much, inmy opinion.

Cooking Date With Stray Kids (Fluff only!)

Chan: dad-mode initiated. Chan cooking means one thing: dad mode is ON. This many years living with Stray Kids has changed him. He’s learned to cook with seven other 20-something men bothering him and nothing phases him now. Bandaids? Check. Fire hydrant? Check. Paramedics on emergency dial? You guessed it. Once he’s sure you’re not gonna blow up the kitchen (right 👁👁), he’ll gets in the groove and let himself have some fun. Lowkey will try to teach you how to cook even if you already know how to, but let him. Chan really is the type to be so happy to be able to spend time with you and works so hard just because he wants to feel needed.

Minho: fine cuisine. This man is literally flaunted as the best chef in Stray Kids, and no way is he letting you slack off on his watch. Blood, sweat, and tears will be spent trying to create the fanciest dish you've ever laid eyes on… all in order celebrate his cat's fifth birthday. But what is pain when you get to see the satisfied little smile on Minho’s face when you finish tho <3

Changbin: an actual mess. You expect him to cook? with you around to pester?? This man barely knows how to boil water in the first place. Instead of helping you cook, Changbin’s life mission seems to have become distracting you when you're trying not to set the house on fire. After all, why concern himself with trying to learn to dice the vegetables when he gains so much more satisfaction by simply annoying you instead? Tsk tsk. Send him back to the dishwasher duties.

Hyunjin: candlelit dinner, dumbass ver. Cause as much as Hyunjin is a dumbass, he's a romantic too. Tries to surprise you with a romantic dinner, and thankfully has the foresight to call his mom beforehand, so you can be thanking her that your soufflé came out in one piece. Decides to decorate last minute using the leftover scented candles Seungmin's mom sent while nonstop giggling about how cheesy the setup is. The dinner actually ends up being actually pretty romantic though.

Jisung: stitches from laughing. Preferably no actual stitches are involves, so make sure to hide the sharp objects before cooking with him. He's a klutz and maybe mentally nine years old. Han is funny as hell though, and 15 minutes in you both end up falling on your asses cause you were laughing so hard from his jokes. His secret plan: spend the whole time trying to make you laugh cause otherwise he has no idea what he is doing.

Felix: y'all are in love. This man is such a romantic so I’m just calling it. I'm sorry to inform you that it might just end up a mess because you spent the whole time kissing the batter of each other's noses instead of watching the oven. If you’re really serious about making a good meal, he'll follow you around as your own personal hype man, trying to make himself useful. Felix will 100% wrap his arms around you and lay his head on your shoulder while you’re cooking. If he doesn’t do that, it’s not him (must be an alien instead, no other explanation.) To cook with him, what bliss.

Seungmin: cooking partner acquired. While Seungmin certainly has his bratty moments, he's generally a very chill cooking buddy. He tries to follow the recipe pretty closely and always makes sure to tell you what he's doing. Will absolutely call you out when you try to pull anything, like doubling the chocolate chip count or giving the batter too many taste tests. Might be persuaded to your side if you give him enough kisses though <3

Jeongin: brat-mode initiated. Our lovely maknae unfortunately took after Changbin in regards ro his cooking skills. That meaning he’s type to tease you about your cooking skill despite being useless himself 💫. Jeongin tries to help you anyway, since as much as likes to tease, he hates to see you do it alone<3
