Y/n L/n is rarely seen walking the streets in public anymore, but that is changing following her recent breakup from longtime love Charles Leclerc.
The 12-time Grammy winner was spotted out and about in Rome just one day after her release of her new single, Reckless, which reflects on her past relationship with the formula 1 driver.
L/n was joined by celebs friends Zendaya, Tom Holland, Sabrina Carpenter, Bella Hadid, and Alexa Demie for a night out at Shari Vari Play House in Vía de' Nari, Italy.
The news of her breakup sent shockwaves on social media. Tweets and memes were made, with fans expressing their disbelief and grief
Rumors had already spread that Leclerc was seeing someone else the last few months of thosr relationship. L/n just made those rumors official last night as she delivered a tribute to Leclerc and his new girlfriend Australian Youtuber Lola Ransdell, sending the media to a frenzy.
The “Karma” hitmaker opted for a dress from Mônot’s SS22 collection, a black dress with cutouts across the chest and stomach, leaving little fabric between L/n’s collarbone and lower waist.
People on twitter are already calling this “Y/n L/n’s Revenge Dress Era” .
"Not @Y/nL/n wearing Y/n’s Version of 'the revenge dress'," one fan posted.
The ultimate revenge dress is, of course, the off-the-shoulder black Christina Stambolian dress that Princess Diana wore while her former husband then-Prince Charles was admitting to an affair with current Queen Consort Camilla.
Diana, Princess of Wales attends the Vanity Fair party at the Serpentine Gallery on November 20, 1994 Anwar Hussein
L/n kicked off her sold-out Eras Tour on March 17, and eagle-eyed fans noticed that Leclerc had been absent from her shows.
In case you're unfamiliar with the lore of YourShipName (portmanteau and couple name of L/n and Leclerc), you probably don't understand the distress caused by the news. For most, Leclerc is not even a household name, but for YourFandomsName, he's the titular Lover.
via @yourinstagram in a now deleted instagram post
The Midnights singer and f1 driver started dating in 2016. Fans speculate they met at the 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix based on the lyrics of Reputation cut "Dress": "Flashback to when you met me / Your buzzcut and my hair bleached." Because, you guessed it, Leclerc sported a buzzcut and L/n’s hair was bleached.
At a secret session for Reputation, Leclerc reportedly told fans that the single "Gorgeous" was about her "angel boyfriend of one year." Other tracks off of Reputation like “Delicate," "Call It What You Want," and "King Of My Heart" are also thought to be about Leclerc.
Her next album, Lover, is also understood to be about Leclerc with songs like "Paper Rings," "Cornelia Street," "Daylight," and the titular "Lover."
During quarantine the couple started collaborating creatively. Leclerc surpassed his muse status and co-wrote Folklore tracks "Exile" and "Betty,"
Evermore songs "Champagne Problems" and "Coney Island, and most recently, "Sweet Nothing" off Midnights. Other tracks on her most recent three albums canonically about Leclerc include: "Invisible String" and "Peace."
While they opted to remain very private about their romance, the couple was hit with a slew of engagement rumors throughout the course of their ill-fated romance.
"I'm aware people want to know about that side of things," Leclerc told GQ in 2018. "I think we have been successfully very private and that has now sunk in for people."
L/n briefly touched on the privacy aspect of their relationship in her 2020 documentary, "Miss Americana."
"We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private," she said. "Even though [my public image in 2016] was really horrible, I was happy."
"But I wasn't happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else's input. We were just... happy," the singer added.
The "Lavender Haze" songstress' exes famously include Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Pattinson, Fabian Frankel, Ben Barnes, Harry Styles, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

ABC News in Australia covers the story of how community groups all over the country are coming together as a community to provide for returning Gazan families.
El Rahman Inc. stands at the forefront of this community effort in Naarm/Melbourne, and on the organisation’s Instagram page, regularly posts updates on what supplies are currently needed. It accepts monetary and supply donations at drop off points (which are currently closed until the 28th Dec).
The PCIA has also been instrumental in organising resources for returning Palestinian families. For more widespread support not limited to Melbourne, please consider donating to the Arab Council of Australia, another independent non-profit which has a long history of supporting their community. They are based in New South Wales, which is home to Australia's largest population of Arabic-speaking Australians.
--
ABC's news report also highlights that between October 7 and November 20, Home Affairs granted 860 visas to Palestinians, including those seeking to depart Gaza. However, what they fail to give proper attention to is the fact that Israel has been preventing Palestinians from leaving.
[ link ]
Of the around 860 visas distributed, only 143 Palestinians have managed to successfully arrive in Australia, with the number of new names being added to 'the list' falling to a pathetic degree. To understand the grave conditions of Palestinians awaiting safe passage, this is a great article to read. And although politicians like Penny Wong insist they are doing everything in their power to help Palestine in this time, Australia still shamefully stands by its strongest ally, the US, and actively provides military surveillance of the Gaza Strip to Israeli sources through Pine Gap, a military base in Alice Springs.
In this time, it is imperative to maintain pressure on the Australian government. Protest and vocal pro-Palestine movement is the only thing that caused Australia to eventually vote for a ceasefire in the recent UN resolution, after their cowardly performance earlier. Resources like vic_socialists on Instagram, regardless of where you may stand on their performance as a party itself, has been outstanding in organising regular protest movements across all of Victoria. APAN also maintains a list of pro-Palestine events all around Australia on their website, although I'm not sure at this point if it's exhaustive.
#australia also abstained from the new naval coalition the US has sent into the red sea#which is truly the barest of bare minimums but i'm trying to see it as a good sign of our gov reevaluating our relationship with israel#i hold onto the good i see organisations like el rahman do with clenched hands#there are so many good people in the world. its a shame none of them are in positions of power.#australia#palestine#free palestine#call to action#long post#this information is also unfortunately a bit outdated. my apologies#i thought it was better to share late than never though

Moodboard & Fic pitch(?)
Mira Phillips & Jonathan Levy × F!Reader
Scenes from a marriage
Moodboard made by me
Series Synopsis (no current fic title)
No longer Married, Jonathan and Mira's tedious yet loving affair is still going strong years after their divorce, but Mira can't help but suggest something more for their relationship thanks to a dream then later a chance encounter with a young woman, whom she finds out is in a housing and financial crisis.
While Jonathan finds the idea exciting, he becomes reluctant when Mira's desired women turns out to be one of his students. It doesn't help when Mira has taken the initiative to house his student and employ her as a full time nanny for their daughter.
Now thanks to the force proximity, mira insists Jonathan gets to know Ava's new nanny. Lucky for her, it doesn't take long for Jonathan to grow smitten but unfortunately for the young sweetheart, she isn't aware of Mira's plans and only assumes the best out of people she shouldn't.
Warnings & Tags: NSFW, Smut, mentions of cheating (from Jonathan), mutual masturbation, threesome, M × F × F, M × F, F × F. Mild dubcon (?), alcohol consumption (mainly wine), power imbalance, abuse of power, teacher student relationship, boss employee relationship, Bisexual reader, homeless reader, Mira and Jonathan share reader, sexuality inexperienced reader, age gap relationship, reader in her early 20's, hidden nanny camera, voyeurism, reader being watched (without consent), false sense of comfort, no happy endings for reader(mostly).
Author rambles & Notes
Hey guys! Hope y'all don't mind my brain dumps, I think going forward I might post fic ideas to keep track of them when they're not priority. As of now I'm working a warehouse job and most of my shifts will be 12 hours so that doesn't give me much time till the end of November, so for now I'll be posting miscellaneous one shots for media I mainly consume. Primary Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles. Any long winded series I plan for TLOU and SFAM wont come around till mid to late 2025. As of now I plan on posting a Javi x reader fic Sunday evening/Monday afternoon and I'll see what happens from there.
While the show was quite an experience and frankly it's something I would only watch once and never again do to the emotions cause as I'm a child of divorce. While I was happy when my parents separated, Jonathan and Mira's relationship felt close to home and reminded me of my folks and was quite overwhelming. To clarify the characters don't remind me of my parents simply their relationship during the divorce and how quickly they'd turn on each other. It's something you never get to see shown in media and I do appreciate that but watching the show once was enough for me.
Though thanks to this fic idea I'm down to rewatch for research purposes when I start writing at some point. I can't say when I got the idea, it was a gradual process of ideas and what else would these people be capable of as they get to the point of character De-Evolution. So what if we got to see what happens in those years we don't see and leads to that ending point in the show? Where they don't care about being good people anymore.
Also why not try out some smutty fun before the disaster? Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac are hot in character so there's some mild self indulgence in here.🤭Anyway I think I might post fic pitches for any series ideas going forward as they won't be on the forefront of my mind. I know I don't have followers other than 2 (I love you guys) but If more people come around in the future than I hope this will raise any interest. That's it for now. ❤️

SpaceTime -- A brief history
SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States. The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science. SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research. The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network. Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor. Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. Gary’s radio career stretches back some 34 years including 26 at the ABC. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. He was part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and became one of its first on air presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually. However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage. Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently. StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016. Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is published three times weekly (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.

Immediately after Joe Biden announced that he would not seek re-election and instead endorsed Kamala Harris, she was anointed as the Democratic Party presidential nominee with little analysis of her record or her program. In fact, her website, KamalaHarris.com , makes no mention of a political program at all. While foolish debates about whether she should be considered Black garner media attention, questions about policy are largely ignored. Black Agenda Report has been writing about Harris for some time, and we share what we and others have noted about her record over the years.

Illinois Students Who Protested Gaza Genocide Are Facing Felony Mob Charges
The state's attorney is prosecuting University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students over last April's encampments.
Pre-trial hearings for students who participated in a Gaza solidarity encampment in central Illinois last spring are being held on November 20 and December 4, 2024. The outcome of the four students’ trials will determine whether they will risk up to three years of incarceration on felony “mob action” charges for having exercised their free speech rights on campus. The students from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) — one of the largest public universities in the country — constructed an encampment known as the Popular University for Gaza in April 2024, after months of Israel’s relentless slaughter of Palestinians, mirroring dozens of other student-led sites across the United States. The UIUC students’ demands were similar to those of their peers: an acknowledgement by the administration of Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians, funded almost exclusively by the United States; a commitment to addressing Palestinian and Muslim affairs on campus; and divestment from all corporations and academic collaborations that support the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
[...]
The university’s participation in prosecuting its own students for having the courage to publicly denounce genocide is disturbing, but not surprising. The university has a history of supporting a pro-apartheid position. In 1986, after students bravely protested their campus’s investment in apartheid South Africa, the university ultimately was forced to divest millions. More recently, in 2013, the University hired renowned professor Steven Salaita, only to rescind his employment offer after reading his tweets denouncing the murderous acts of the Israeli apartheid state. In July and August of 2014, Israel murdered over 2,200 Palestinians, an assault to which Salaita rightly took great exception. After the school rescinded his employment offer, Salaita sued UIUC and earned a settlement award of over $800,000. Embarrassingly, UIUC also earned a formal censure from the American Association of University Professors for failure to adhere to principles of academic freedom. The university also maintains a robust portfolio of pro-apartheid investments running upwards of $27 million for 2023 alone by some estimates. The alphabet soup of university agencies allegedly responsible for managing and directing these funds seems purposefully opaque: Inquiries into one entity about its spending only lead to finger pointing at another. Certain entities are public — subject to FOIA reveal — while others are private and cannot be easily scrutinized.
[...]
As of the date of this publication, Rietz and UIUC have still refused to state whether they are finished with their quest to charge and punish students from last spring. With an existing three-year statute of limitations for a mob action claim, students who were encampment participants must face another school year with a looming threat over their heads. Of course, the intended impact is clear: to curtail visible pro-Palestinian sentiment on campus. As the current round of Israeli violence in Gaza surpasses the one-year mark, UIUC has staked its position firmly out as one of the most threatening schools in the U.S. for students who are outwardly opposed to ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Rietz’s office declined to comment.

Palestinians are not disposable because of our elections what the fuck is wrong with you! even with biden as president his people are letting everything go with a wave of their hand and cracking down on anyone who says otherwise and you think it's really going to be any different under trump??? no it's gonna be the same shit for the vast majority of us who aren't kiss asses to flimsy colonizing liberals and their bible humping cousins!!!!! there's literally no fucking point!!!!!
Please stop. First, you're throwing insults at someone who has been called worse, so name-calling isn't going to get you anywhere with me.
I don't like what's going on in Gaza either, okay? I don't support it. And frankly - Biden hasn't been really gung-ho about it either. He has been pressuring Israel to stop attacking civilian targets, to be sure of their targets before attacking, and to let aid get in to people who need it. Israel has been...less than willing to listen.
I never said Palestinians are disposable - it is a tragedy what's going on over there, and anywhere else it happens. Where is your anger for the various places this happens on the African continent? Where is your anger for Afghanistan?
But the simple fact remains that if you DON'T vote for Biden come November, we're going to end up with a Trump presidency. If you think both sides are the same, maybe sit back and look at the facts of it. The GOP and Trump want to get rid of a LOT of rights in this country that people have fought for for over a century. Trump cozies up to dictators like Putin and North Korea - do you really think he's going to do anything to stop Israel in Gaza? He will allow Ukraine to fall. He has gone on camera and said 'Putin should do whatever the hell he wants to Europe.'
Do I like the current state of affairs? No. Would I rather take this status quo, where we can still fight for our rights (including the right to protest what is going on in Gaza) over sliding backwards 60 years? Absolutely. Do I want another 4 years of Biden? Eh, not particularly but given my choices he's a MUCH better choice. I'd prefer someone 20-30 years younger but right now I'll take what I can get.
You, though, need to do yourself a favor and get off the internet for a bit. Take a break, calm yourself down, and come back when you can be civil.

Swift: That's the best. I want to hear current things, too, to update me on where the artist is. I was wondering about lyrics, and where you were lyrically when you were making this record. Because when I was making Folklore, I went lyrically in a total direction of escapism and romanticism. And I wrote songs imagining I was, like, a pioneer woman in a forbidden love affair [laughs]. I was completely… McCartney: Was this "I want to give you a child"? Is that one of the lines? Swift: Oh, that's a song called "Peace." McCartney: “Peace,” I like that one. Swift: "Peace" is actually more rooted in my personal life. I know you have done a really excellent job of this in your personal life: carving out a human life within a public life, and how scary that can be when you do fall in love and you meet someone, especially if you've met someone who has a very grounded, normal way of living. I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can't control if there's going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow. McCartney: So how does that go? Does your partner sympathize with that and understand? Swift: Oh, absolutely. McCartney: They have to, don't they? Swift: But I think that in knowing him and being in the relationship I am in now, I have definitely made decisions that have made my life feel more like a real life and less like just a storyline to be commented on in tabloids. Whether that's deciding where to live, who to hang out with, when to not take a picture — the idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain, but it's really just trying to find bits of normalcy. That's what that song "Peace" is talking about. Like, would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave?

On the (mis)uses of history, and on Jewish safety AND Palestinian freedom
An Open Letter on the Misuse of Holocaust Memory
Omer Bartov, Christopher R. Browning, Jane Caplan, Debórah Dwork, Michael Rothberg, et al.
Appealing to the memory of the Holocaust obscures our understanding of the antisemitism Jews face today and dangerously misrepresents the causes of violence in Israel-Palestine.
November 20, 2023
Israeli leaders and others are using the Holocaust framing to portray Israel’s collective punishment of Gaza as a battle for civilization in the face of barbarism, thereby promoting racist narratives about Palestinians. This rhetoric encourages us to separate this current crisis from the context out of which it has arisen. Seventy-five years of displacement, fifty-six years of occupation, and sixteen years of the Gaza blockade have generated an ever-deteriorating spiral of violence that can only be arrested by a political solution. There is no military solution in Israel-Palestine, and deploying a Holocaust narrative in which an “evil” must be vanquished by force will only perpetuate an oppressive state of affairs that has already lasted far too long. Insisting that “Hamas are the new Nazis”—while holding Palestinians collectively responsible for Hamas’s actions—attributes hardened, antisemitic motivations to those who defend Palestinian rights. ... We encourage those who have so readily invoked comparisons to Nazi Germany to listen to the rhetoric coming from Israel’s political leadership. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Israeli parliament that “this is a struggle between the children of light and the children of darkness” (a tweet from his office with the same phrase was later deleted). Defense Minister Yoav Gallant proclaimed, “We are fighting human animals and we act accordingly.”

@PeterBeinart on the censorship of Pro-Palestinian rhetoric: “The idea that if you’re going to…say you can’t say ‘Palestine should be free from the river [to] the sea’ then you also shouldn’t be able to say that you can have one Israel from the river to the sea.”
@AnamZakaria1 · Nov 26, 2023
When I studied genocide in context of the 1971 War, I wanted to know how the state produced narratives that enabled genocidal violence with such impunity while creating a culture of silencing that remains difficult to penetrate 50 years on. Many of those techniques at play now: 1. The bracketing of history. Picking a specific period in time as the ‘point of origin’ from where the state wants people to remember the story begins, conveniently enabling the erasure and conscious ‘forgetting’ of decades of systemic violence & oppression 2. The weaponization of pain and suffering of a community to legitimize genocidal violence against another community 3. Depoliticizing political & rights based movements by labelling everyone a terrorist or terrorist sympathizer - the term terrorism amid global Islamophobia, has of course become a particularly powerful tool of depoliticization and dehumanization 4. Creating hysteria about how ‘enemy’ nations are supporting those whom the state violates the bodies and rights of to garner political legitimacy for its ‘mission’ or ‘operation’ 5. Creating false equivalencies to ‘neutralize’ state violence - ignoring that it is backed by state machinery, and here a global machinery of weapons and narrative making too. At the heart of this is also an argument that violence is the monopoly of the state - that the violence unleashed by the state is a legitimate, even necessary act and anyone criticizing this violence is an enemy, who too, must be eradicated / silenced

1. The NY Times coverage is absurd. A Pulitzer Prize winning reporter quotes a Jewish student at my school claiming “antisemitism” is having to see a poster that says “Gaza is an open-air prison.” He should be asking this student why he feels “attacked” by seeing a fact . 2. He should explore with this kid 1. The meaning of the statement. And 2. Why that meaning is being confounded with abuse when literally tens of thousands of people are starving, deliberately denied water and health care and are helplessly surrounded with the dead and dying. 3. He needs to report on the actuality: the profound inability of this student to understand what other people are experiencing. That is the actual story.

Merry Christmas Colangelo & Pomerantz
"First Cyrus 'Cy' Vance Jr (DA) has Mark Pomarantz (Special Assistant DA/Authr People vs Donald Trump author/Hillary's Attorney) and Dunne cracking the whip on him, then Schumer and Preetinder 'Preet' Singh Bhahara (US Attorney SDNY) show up at his Birthday in October to spank him - Matt Colangelo in December threatening to break his kneecaps- then the leaks and more leaks until he gives in with Cy Vance's garbage case. Uh....this won't be a swell time. This guy is going to find out Soros doesn't pay court costs or keep you out of prison. This in one pile of dog stuff he's going to be sorry he jumped into. Trump will be after his backside too. This man had better lawyer up."
Exclusive: Jim Jordan Subpoenas Manhattan Prosecutor Who Resigned over Suspended Trump Probe April 6, 2023
House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) escalated Republicans’ investigation into the Manhattan district attorney’s indictment of former President Donald Trump by subpoenaing a prosecutor on Thursday who resigned from the office last year over the district attorney’s initial reluctance to pursue Trump’s case.
Jordan’s subpoena, reviewed by Breitbart News, directs Mark Pomerantz, who resigned from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office in February 2022, to appear before the committee for a deposition on April 20.
In a cover letter accompanying the subpoena, Jordan said his committee had legislative reasons to demand Pomerantz’s testimony.
“Congress has a specific and manifestly important interest in preventing politically motivated prosecutions of current and former Presidents by elected state and local prosecutors, particularly in jurisdictions—like New York County—where the prosecutor is popularly elected and trial-level judges lack life tenure,” Jordan wrote.
Pomerantz, a former special assistant assigned to the years-long Trump case, exited the Manhattan district attorney’s office right after Bragg took over. The move became a public affair when his resignation letter appeared in the New York Times last March.
Pomerantz wrote in the letter to Bragg that he believed Trump was “guilty of numerous felony violations” related to his financial statements and that he was
quitting because he thought Bragg’s decision at the time to “indefinitely” suspend the investigation into Trump was “misguided.”
Jordan observed, based on the resignation letter, that Pomerantz had “prejudged the results” of the investigation and that his critical words of Bragg seemingly sparked the district attorney to openly declare that the Trump investigation was “far from over.”
In November 2022, one week after Trump announced he was running for president again, the Times reported that Bragg had revived the Trump investigation and had zeroed in on a hush money scheme involving porn star Stormy Daniels and Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen.
“For Mr. Bragg, the hush-money developments suggest the first signs of progress since he took office at the beginning of the year, when he balked at indicting Mr. Trump in connection with his business practices,” the outlet reported at the time.
Pomerantz later went on to publish a book about the matter, called People vs. Donald Trump: An Inside Account, in which Pomerantz discussed internal concerns people had about the investigation and worries about the credibility of Cohen, a convicted felon.
“You describe your eagerness to investigate President Trump, writing that you were ‘delighted’ to join an unpaid group of lawyers advising on the Trump investigations, and joking that salary negotiations had gone ‘great’ because you would have paid to join the investigation,” Jordan wrote of the book.
He added that Pomerantz “frivolously” compared Trump to John Gotti, a notorious New York City mob boss, and described him as a “malignant narcissist.”
“The depth of your personal animosity towards him is apparent in your writing,” Jordan concluded.
The subpoena marks Republicans’ strongest move yet in its investigation of the New York County’s indictment of Trump amid questions from some about Congress’s authority to probe open state-level criminal matters.
It comes after Jordanfirst contacted Pomerantz on March 22 seeking his testimony, as well as documents and communication related to the Trump investigation.
Jordan in his subpoena cover letter referenced correspondence on March 25 from Bragg to Pomerantz, which Breitbart News has reviewed, in which Bragg instructed Pomerantz, a private citizen, not to provide Congress with any materials relevant to Pomerantz’s work at the district attorney’s office.
Pomerantz then told the committee on March 27 that he would be complying with Bragg’s instructions rather than Jordan’s requests.🙄
Jordan contended Thursday, however, that Pomerantz is “uniquely situated” to provide insight to the Judiciary Committee and that
he has “no basis to decline to testify” given he has already made detailed accounts of his work on the Trump probe widely public.
EXCLUSIVE: House Judiciary Expands Investigation Into Manhattan DA Over Trump Indictment April 7, 2023
The Federalist: The House Judiciary Committee is expanding its investigation into the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office over last week’s unprecedented indictment of former President Donald Trump.
On Friday, House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, sent a letter to Manhattan DA Senior Counsel Matthew Colangelo, shared with The Federalist, requesting a transcribed interview.
According to the New York Times in December, Colangelo was hired four months ago to “jump start” Bragg’s Trump investigations after years spent going after the former president at both the Department of Justice and the New York attorney general’s office.
“Given your history of working for law-enforcement entities that are pursuing President Trump and the public reporting surrounding your decision to work for the New York County District Attorney’s Office, we request your cooperation with our oversight in your personal capacity,” Jordan wrote.
Trump pled not guilty at the historic arraignment Tuesday against a 34-count felony indictment carrying a maximum 136-year prison sentence. The charges stem from 2016 hush-money payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels in a case prosecutors previously declined to pursue.
The weak nature of the case has led a dozen liberal law professors and Trump antagonists to call the prosecution a dead end.
The House Judiciary chairman reminded Colangelo of Congress’s authority to probe the Manhattan DA’s office after Bragg has spent weeks resisting lawmakers’ oversight requests. Fox News reported Wednesday the back and forth has led the Committee to consider issuing formal subpoenas for Bragg’s office. On Thursday, lawmakers pulled the trigger on a subpoena for Mark Pomerantz, a former prosecutor under Bragg who resigned last year over slow progress on efforts to arrest Trump.
Jordan revealed on Fox News Monday that Bragg conceded to lawmakers his office used federal funds in the Manhattan DA’s Trump investigation.
“The Committee may therefore consider legislation to enhance reporting requirements concerning the use of federal forfeiture funds and/or to prohibit the use of federal forfeiture funds to investigate a current or former President or presidential candidate,” Jordan wrote in the letter to Colangelo.
The committee is demanding Colangelo hand over documents related to his hiring and sit down for a formal interview. Colangelo was given until April 21 to provide lawmakers with a schedule of availability.
While the Manhattan DA’s office braces for aggressive oversight from House Republicans, members of Bragg’s staff deleted online profiles. The “Meet Our Team” page was also scrubbed from Bragg’s website.
Trump’s indictment last week drew immediate condemnation from House Republicans and the former president’s rivals in the 2024 primary but has been met with silence by Senate GOP Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Diamond earrings and the murder of a journalist: a tale of two principles by u/Mickleborough
Diamond earrings and the murder of a journalist: a tale of two principles ‘On 2 October 2018, Jamal Khashoggi, a US-based journalist and critic of Saudi Arabia’s government, walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, where he was murdered.’ BBC18 days later, on 20 October 2018, there was an admission of sorts that Khashoggi had been killed by Saudi operatives. More details would unfold, but let’s stick with the 20 October 2018 date for now.The following is largely based on Robert Lacey’s book Band of Brothers, specifically this page on the Robert Lacey websiteMeghan was given a pair of white and yellow diamond earrings by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. She’s been photographed twice wearing them. Note the dates.A triptych. Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is in the middle. The first appearance: 23 October 2018Meghan wore the earrings at a state dinner in Suva, Fiji, when the Sussexes were on their tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga. This was 3 days after the Saudi Arabian government revealed that Khashoggi had been murdered by Saudi operatives. What might Meghan have known when she decided to pin the £500,000 / $635,000 earrings to her lobes? At best - just that they were from the Crown Prince. There would’ve been aides and private secretaries to keep her informed of topical events. But - to be generous - perhaps she wasn’t aware of Khashoggi’s murder and / or the Saudi Arabian connection.Note that when the story broke out about Meghan wearing questionable earrings in Fiji, Meghan claimed to have ‘borrowed’ them. The British Royal Family doesn’t borrow jewellery from jewellers; when push came to shove, Meghan’s legal advisers stated that, as wedding gifts to members of the Royal Family were recorded as the property of the monarch, Meghan technically had ‘borrowed’ them from the late Queen. However, the practice is that a royal has, in effect, a permanent loan of certain jewellery, such that they become associated with her - think Diana and the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara. So, in effect, the earrings could be regarded as Meghan’s. In any event, it was her decision to wear them. The second appearance: 14 November 2018Meghan again wore the earrings at a dinner in Buckingham Palace to celebrate the then Prince Charles’s 70th birthday.By this time the media had reported on possible connections between the Crown Prince and Khashoggi’s murder. There was nothing conclusive then, but it was out there.Could Meghan argue that she wasn’t aware of current affairs? Apparently, around that time, she claimed that she read The Economist, and possibly not much else. But between 1-14 November, The Economist had at least 2 articles linking the Crown Prince to Khashoggi’s murder.Regardless, Meghan chose to wear the earrings again.AfterwordIn February 2021, US intelligence agencies found that the Crown Prince had approved Khashoggi’s murder. Washington hasn’t issued sanctions: Guardian.Meanwhile, how did Endeavor deal with Saudi Arabia? In spring 2018, Saudi Arabia invested $400 million with the Endeavor talent agency (this is how the New York Times describes it, although it had merged with William Morris by then), under Ari Emanuel, whereby the money would finance Endeavor’s growth in exchange for Endeavor diversifying Saudi Arabia’s growth in sports, events, TV and film production.Emanuel said the murder was ‘very, very concerning, really concerning.’ Shortly after Endeavor returned the $400 million and walked away. Not many other companies with large contracts with the Saudi Arabian government have done this: New York TimesIn the endThere might have been international and / or diplomatic incidents if the earrings had been returned to the Crown Prince (never mind setting a precedent for all other gifts from that regime). But it wouldn’t have been too difficult just to stop wearing the earrings - certainly easier than returning $400 million. post link: https://ift.tt/OU6wNT8 author: Mickleborough submitted: June 26, 2023 at 05:21PM via SaintMeghanMarkle on Reddit

The Truth About Martin Luther King, Jr. AKA Michael King
YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE" ALWAYS SEEK THE TRUTH NO MATTER WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES MAY BE!!! LONG READ BUT WORTH IT!
January 16, 2023 In November of 2017, President Trump instructed the National Archives to release hundreds of previously-sealed documents which pertained to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Included among these documents were two FBI files which, curiously enough, have little to do with the Kennedy assassination but could have great bearing on the current struggles of the Dissident Right. In Part 1 of this series, we covered the May 1967 FBI report entitled “Racial Violence Potential in the United States This Summer.”
Now I will discuss the second document, “Martin Luther King, Jr., an Analysis,” which was dated March 12, 1968, just three weeks before King’s assassination.
It always hurts to see one’s icons destroyed. Those icons are really what link a person to a greater humanity and whatever lies beyond it. It’s as if through an icon a person can channel an identity which signifies something much greater than himself. Icons can pull people into their orbits and inspire love and awe. People derive meaning and self-worth through them. Icons can also compete. Different groups may share an icon, or their incompatible icons may prevent them from coexisting. But in all cases, serious espionage prostrate themselves before their icons. It’s sort of like kissing the ring of a mafia boss. It’s done for protection. If you’re going to get to me, first you have to get through him.
In releasing the FBI’s 20-page analysis of Martin Luther King. The information in it is quite damning, and it hits King’s legacy from several directions. If people on the Right take up where this document left off by internalizing the document and by going on the offensive with it against the Left, King’s potency as an icon will be greatly reduced. It sort of reminds me of how Sean Hannity would often mention Chappaquiddick whenever the topic of Ted Kennedy came up on his show. It was his way of shaming his opponents for supporting an icon that was not only all too human, but at times even less than that.
For students of the Civil Rights Movement, the FBI’s analysis may not reveal very much new information about King (although there is some). King’s heyday is still well within living memory, and contemporaneous knowledge and rumor surrounding the man has had a way of trickling up to the present day, especially within conservative and rightist circles. The major knocks against him are that he plagiarized his doctoral thesis in systematic theology at Boston University in the mid-1950s, that he frequently engaged in extramarital sex, and that he was closely linked to the Communist Party, USA (CPUSA). The FBI file addresses these last two issues, in some cases down to niggling detail, and leads one to conclude that Martin Luther King was little more than a sex addict and a shill for the Communist Party.
The sexual indiscretions harm King’s legacy, of course, but in the near-fifty years since his death, King’s friends and admirers have successfully whitewashed a good deal of it. Have a look at this Wikipedia article, which I believe sticks to the leftist party line on King. In the section entitled “Adultery,” the article’s authors and their various sources refer blandly to King’s “affairs,” “liaisons,” “infidelities,” and (best of all) “incidental couplings.” King colleague and eventual successor at the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), Ralph Abernathy wrote of King’s “weakness for women,” and claimed he had a “difficult time with temptation.” Another writer describes King’s promiscuity as “a form of anxiety reduction” which caused him a great deal of “painful and at times overwhelming guilt.”
The whitewashing of King’s prodigious sexual appetites goes on to this day. For example, CNN called the document’s frank disclosures of King’s conduct as “insinuations and assertions about King’s personal life” and describes King’s behavior as “extramarital affairs and other sexual improprieties.” CNN then quotes the current director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute who accuses the authors of the document of attempting to “damage Martin Luther King’s reputation.”
So, basically, in the eyes of the Left, Martin Luther King, Jr. is a victim who is as innocent as he could possibly be and still be guilty. Given the Left’s overall tolerance of sexual promiscuity and deviancy, this means he’s not really guilty at all. At least not until the National Archives releases the FBI surveillance tapes and transcripts to the public in 2027.
So what did the FBI disclose? In the report’s final section, entitled “King’s Personal Conduct,” it states that in February 1968, while running a “workshop” on urban leadership in Miami, King hired prostitutes with funds from the Ford Foundation. He then engaged in binge drinking and group sex acts which the FBI describes as “deviating from the normal.” The FBI also relates how King participated in another “drunken sex orgy” in Washington, DC back in 1964. The sex acts were both “natural and unnatural” according to the FBI and were performed “for the entertainment of onlookers.”
In the 1960s, this was the pattern for King, who, according to the FBI, “has continued to carry on his sexual aberrations secretly while holding himself out to public view as a moral leader of religious conviction.”
As for bombshells in the sexual improprieties department, the file reveals that King may have sired a baby girl out of wedlock with the wife of a “prominent Negro dentist in Los Angeles.” He also reportedly had sexual relations with folk singer Joan Baez.
Note how King’s defenders refer to all this as King’s “personal life” or, when forced to, admit his excesses only in the most anodyne terms, such as “affairs.” No, King didn't just have “affairs.” He had sex parties.
Furthermore, the FBI analysis did not infringe upon King’s “personal life” because what King did wasn't merely personal. What one does in the bedroom with one’s spouse or significant other is “personal.” I’ll even grant that what one does during a discreet tryst in a hotel room can also be construed as “personal.” Drunken orgies, on the other hand, especially those involving prostitutes and paid for by grant money, cannot possibly be considered “personal.” No, such behavior is quite public — not to mention hypocritical — when engaged in by a public figure who dedicates his life to holding his nation up to unrealistically high moral standards.
Even more inflammatory about the FBI report — although reported on less since its release — is its assertion that King often acted at the behest of his communist puppet masters. Where the two pages covering King’s sexual misconduct challenge his high moral standing as a Civil Rights Era icon, the ten or so pages covering his communist activities bluntly call into question his intellectual capacities as a leader of men. Unsurprisingly, the name Stanley Levison appears many times in the document. Levison was a Jewish attorney and “shrewd, dedicated communist” who acted for many years as King’s “Assistant Chief” and who also served as a clandestine fund-raiser for the CPUSA. The FBI claims that King often looked to Levison for instruction and approval before acting, and that Levison used King to further the communist agenda (which by the 1960s included linking the so-called “Negro people’s freedom movement” with anti-Vietnam War effort).
Levison gravitated to Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1956. He has been as dedicated in his support of King as he has been in advancing communist goals. He has actively involved himself in fund-raising drives for King, served as his legal counsel in certain matters, suggested speech material for him, discussed with King demonstrations in which King was involved, guided him in regard to acceptance or rejection of various public appearances and speaking commitments, and helped him with matters related to articles and books King has prepared.
According to the FBI, Levison also ghostwrote a chapter in King’s book Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?. Most damning, however, is the FBI’s assertion that Levison considered King a “slow thinker” and insisted that he never issue statements without first seeking approval from him (Levison) or his other advisors.
Levison also served as the SCLC’s assistant treasurer in the early 1960s.
Also according to the FBI, Levison and other sources within the CPUSA saw King as a committed Marxist-Leninist who for obvious reasons had to keep this fact under wraps. But his ties to communism, the FBI shows, were quite clear. One of King’s closest advisors, Clarence Jones, married the communist daughter of publisher William H. Norton. Other communist colleagues of King included Hunter Pitts O’Dell, Lawrence Reddick, Bayard Rustin, Cordy Vivian, Randolph Blackwell, and Harry Wachtel.
Wachtel and Rustin in particular acted as behind-the-scenes players who attempted to leverage King’s status as a Nobel Peace Prize winner in order to “inject King into the Vietnam issue” and ultimately conceded victory the Vietcong. But King, who apparently knew little about international politics, was hardly suited for the job.
When a newspaper asked him twelve questions on his position on Vietnam, King forwarded the questions to Levison. Further, after the bombing of North Vietnam in 1966, the media was pressuring King for a response.
He had to check with Levison and Rustin before giving one. As the FBI document shows, these were not isolated incidents. Martin Luther King, Jr. frequently sought counsel and instruction from his advisors before acting, especially his Jewish ones, Wachtel and Levison. Also, in spite of denying any communist ties, his positions and statements rarely wavered far from the official platform of the CPUSA.
The fact that two of King’s most prominent advisors were Jews should come as a surprise to no one. Benjamin Ginsburg, in his indispensable work The Fatal Embrace shows exactly how Jewed-up the Civil Rights Movement really was:
Jewish organizations also worked closely with civil rights groups during the 1960s in their struggles on behalf of voting tights and for the desegregation of public facilities and accommodations. Jewish contributors provided a substantial share of the funding for such civil rights groups as the NAACP and CORE. Jewish attorneys were at the forefront of the legal offensive against the American apartheid system.
Stanley Levinson , a longtime official and fund-raiser for the American Jewish Congress, became Martin Luther King’s chief aide and advisor, having previously served as a major fund-raiser for Bayard Rustin. Harry Wachtel was a major legal advisor and fundraiser for the SCLC. Levison and Wachtel were often called King’s twin Jewish lawyers. Jack Greenberg, head of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund was the most important single civil rights lawyer in the United States. Jews comprised a large segment — perhaps one-third of the Whites who participated in civil rights marches and protests in the South during the 1960s.
The information presented in “Martin Luther King, Jr., an Analysis” only supports Ginsburg’s points as well as the conviction that Martin Luther King acted often as a tool for the Communist Party.
There is one relatively minor finding in the FBI report which should be mentioned before concluding.
Apparently, on top of being a sex fiend and covert communist, Martin Luther King and his associates at the SCLC were swindling money from the US government. In a short section entitled “A Tax Dodge” the FBI states that The SCLC set up Foundations to serve as tax exempt organizations that would solicit funds for the SCLC. To this end, the American Foundation on Nonviolence of New York City, and the Southern Christian Leadership Foundation of Chicago, Illinois, were established. As money is needed by the SCLC, Harry Wachtel reportedly funnels the money from the American Foundation on Nonviolence to the SCLC.
I have no idea if this was common knowledge beforehand, but it was certainly a new one for me.
As an icon of the Left, Martin Luther King, Jr. is remembered today in two major ways: as a paragon of the egalitarian ethos championed by current Western elites, and as proof of the moral superiority of the Left over the Right. Using King, the Left can justify violence against its enemies simply by claiming that King’s nonviolent approach has been proven to fail. Any racial disparities in the years following the Civil Rights Movement can be seen as proof of this. The fact that King was assassinated offers proof as well. Because King failed to reach the Promised Land via nonviolence, the only tactic remaining for the Left is, of course, violence. This is essentially why Martin Luther King will never die in a multiracial society: as a weapon he’s too useful.
By mentioning these two FBI reports in public discourse as often as possible, people on the Right now have a handy weapon of their own. And since these reports have the imprimatur of none other than the President of the United States on them, they cannot be ignored. In the past, bringing up compromising information on King could be dismissed as racist sniping or rumor-mongering. Now, it cannot. Now it must be part of the mainstream. Now it must be used to counter the Leftist control of our nation and culture. For no other reason than because it can.
