i sort of mentioned this before but i think a lack of confidence? sometimes, often, i talk myself out of a fic before i've really given it a try, or i get too bogged down in self-doubt and end up struggling to get any of the actual writing done. double sigh

hmm, it's never really come up for me. i would say, unless it's a fictional language or a super common, easily translatable phrase i'd probably avoid outright writing in another language unless i could check it with a native speaker. just in case 🙈

A1 - When did you start reading fanfiction?

That is a very good question and my best guess would be ~2014? I know I got on ao3 in 2015 and I was reading on DA before that so.

B5 - Which story have you read more than any other? How many times?

Ok first of all, rude. I am a chronic re-reader and I have 2+k bookmarks and almost 500 pages in my history (since 2019), how am I supposed to answer this? Second of all... There's a bunch of fics I've re-read 5+ times, I couldn't say which exactly was the one I read the most? And ao3 doesn't exactly offer a handy way to check so. This one will have to remain a mystery.

As a treat, I can give you my most recent re-read tho: Rest in Peace Vagabond (What have you seen?) by Cer1dwen (Fandom: Bleach. Re-read count: 2).

B6 - What is your favourite story trope? Why?

.... Well there are multiple more or less specific answers I could give here but at the end of the day, it all boils down to hurt/comfort. And I try not to examine the why too closely, lest I discover things about myself I'd prefer not to know

C2 - What word or expression always makes you cringe when you read it?

Well Tyu... You know me. The list is long. But since I have recently been dipping my toes in anime fandoms again, the amount of [hair colour]ette has been really testing my patience. In fact, the number of ways people will bend over backwards to avoid saying a characters name or repeating their pronouns is truly amazing....

C9 - What show did you really try to watch, but you just couldn't?

Ooof.... Theres a fair number of shows that would qualify, but the most notable one is unfortunately the one piece anime. I couldn't make it through the first 10min. I am too picky about art/animation style and one piece was just Not It for me. No matter how much people around me praise its plot and worldbuilding. (Also. Game of thrones. Couldn't get into it at all, and I really tried since I was in school and everyone 'cool' was talking about it. (I was distinctly not cool. I was the loser in the corner with my book. It wasn't the worst place to be, in hindsight. Nobody bothered me 😂))

D10 - What is one story idea you really want to read but no one has written yet?

The one that lives rent free in my head, thanks for reminding me 🤣🤣🤣

Jokes aside tho... I wanted to read some Xie Lian amnesia picking up on his 'who this'-moment in the communication array after his 3rd ascension bc it really gives you places to go with an amnesia fic where XL doesn't remember his past beyond maybe a century or two (at the most) but I couldn't find any. Big sad. Will have to write it myself. :(

Another contender for my favorite video of 2021. I know I’ve said that about 4-5 times but there are just so many good ones. It is so much more unhinged than the first texting video - either because they didn’t share the weirdest ones before or because they were outside/apart more for the texts in the first one, rather than mostly texting each other from inside the house. Also, I adore this “outtake” of a Kath text that Phil posted as a Short. They didn’t say much about what they were doing for Christmas (other than Phil going to see his family), but both Dan and Phil did share an Insta story.

look dude i have no idea. let me tell you about them: the person could literally be a model, has distinct interests and an interesting career, is funny and brilliant and open with people, is a total NJB, like every old lady in the world loves them okay. now, we met in a jewish class, we share values, we text a decent amount, and:

we’ve talked about sex (like w each other), and they’ve what imo is openly pursued me - keeping up and starting new conversations even when it’s kind of dry or awkward, inviting me out, being open to physical contact, and mirroring my body language when we hang...

2)What made me notice him/her?

Ok so I'm a new army p l s no hate but I got into them after DNA. I was drawn to Kookie's voice first. After watching interviews I got big into Joonie because I wasn't deep enough to know anyone else since he was the only one who spoke in English interviews, but once I learned who was who, I was drawn to the boy with the big eyes and found out quickly it was the same boy whose voice I originally liked and that was my bias solidified.

3) Whats your favorite thing about him/her?

Not what everyone would expect. While obviously I love his dance, his voice, his looks, and everything, my favourite parts of Jungkook aren't what usually come to mind. His belly laughs when he really thinks something is funny. The proud look on his face when he has impressed his hyungs, because you know that's one of his biggest goals. His love of teasing his hyungs and how close he is with them. His big heart towards army.

4) who would initiate skinship more?

That's hard to say. Jungkook and I are a lot alike. Really shy and closed off at first, but once we open up we tend to get really tactile and open. So I'd say it'd probably be pretty even.

Me 100%. I need to have like 3 blankets within reach at all times or I'm not comfortable. I need to have a nest around me.
