Hey, Happy Valentine’s Day! I figured I’d celebrate today by posting part one of a new fic! And it’s RolLay so if you absolutely adore them, then here you go! <3

One: Departure

“I’ve been offered to try out for the Hamilton Mustangs. “Why hello! Who must you be?”

I'm happy to have hit the milestone of 100 pounds/45 kg on my deadlift! ❤️ I'm also up to 4 miles/6.4 km on my runs.

I've had a couple of nice brunches lately - savory waffles with @broomchickabroom last Friday, and today I impulsively went to the grocery store after my workout and bought some lox for a bagel sandwich with cream cheese, lox, and avocado. And blood orange for dessert! It was such a nice spontaneous treat on a random Tuesday morning.

I've been sleeping well recently. :)

I've been enjoying listening to Jade War, by Fonda Lee - The Green Bone Saga, book #2. It's such a delight to be fully immersed in this world. The world and the characters feel so real to me.

Recently, I heard someone say that we are one-twelfth of the way through the year since January is over, and that absolutely blew my mind.

I put myself on a very low TV plan last summer - only one short episode per night, with Derek - because I wanted to finish my novel. Now that I'm finally done, I decided to lift my self-imposed ban and get back to watching some more shows to help me relax a bit during my downtime.

Not having that shit ass psychologist to yell at, I turned my ire back to my primary care doctor that neglected to diagnose me with fucking DIABETES. With how much she wanted to just diagnose me with "being fat" you'd think she would have been on that one like stink on shit.

In August of 2022, I had an A1C of 6.4%. That's sort of your long term blood sugar measurement. The threshold for diabetes is 6.5%. I was 0.1% away. Do you know what her response was?

"This puts you in the category of prediabetes. It can improve with exercise, healthy diet, moderate weight loss. We should recheck this again in 6 to 12 months."

Do you know what she never did? RECHECK MY FUCKING BLOOD SUGAR. Even when I said my fatigue was so bad I was napping up 5 or more hours EVERY DAY. Just eat better and get more exercise. I lost 30 fucking pounds just laying in bed, and she didn't think it was a fucking concern.

When my blood sugar was finally checked again in December of 2024, my A1C was fucking 10.2% with a fasting glucose level of 264. Over 250 is considered dangerous and puts you at risk of things like fucking diabetic coma.

I now check it daily, and today for the first time since I started daily monitoring it was in the 90s where healthy people are supposed to be.

Anyway, I finally sat down and gathered all i could to report that doctor to the state health department. 2 years worth of visit notes and a very detailed summary. I can't afford to sue her, so this is the best I got. Government works slowly, but hopefully this will crush her. Because I have documented proof of blatant medical negligence.
