The Kind of Weakness That Actually Makes You Stronger
The world has always been a place defined by weakness and strength. Old cities in Europe didn’t build walls for the aesthetics. Our world today is full of conflicts where one nation is using its strength to try to subjugate a weaker nation. But being weak or strong is a relative concept, and it bears some thought today. In a surprising twist, the Bible suggests that the strongest moments you ever…

No Longer Held Captive
CAPTIVE?? That’s a word that conjures up the vision of a person or animal that has been taken prisoner and is now confined or detained. And, it doesn’t have to be in a prison or cage or trap. Being held captive by our negative thoughts can render us emotionally bound. Ever spent your days wondering why your thoughts wander to a place of negativity? You aren’t just held captive but are in…

Matthew 6:34. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
2 Corinthians 12:9. “My Grace is sufficient for you.”
“There is no need to worry” (Matthew 6) By Darlene:
“Sometimes, it can be really hard not to worry about the future, especially in these uncertain times, but in Matthew 6:34 Jesus says to us “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.” Why does Jesus say this? Because He gives us His Grace (his help, his strength, his wisdom) just at the time we need it, not before.
When we spend our time worrying about the future, it is like we are experiencing a future negative event over and over, when God hasn’t given us His Grace to go through it yet.
We may even be worrying about something that doesn’t even happen. So all that worry, stress and emotional pain has been for nothing. I’m sure many of you have heard the acronym for FEAR:
F FALSE
E EVIDENCE
A APPEARING
R REAL
God is faithful. He will always give us the Grace we need for any situation at just the right time, not before. Trust God today. Rest in His Grace today. His Grace will be there for you tomorrow.”
