sometimes I think about it and I’m like damn Chuuya’s too quick and efficient with it fr bc how did he singlehandedly defeat that dragon in dead apple in like. 10 min. or how did he take out all those Meursault guards that fast like chill and take ur time my guy ur cutting ur own screentime??
mind u Meursault got hyped as being this top secret highly secure prison with all that tech and all those guards holding the most notorious ability users…Chuuya cleared like 5 floors and took out the top brass in like 5 minutes. he was in and out of there like damn…ok...can u take it easy maybe reel it back a bit let it play out. bc how are u taking down a whole ass dragon in the span of a bathroom break and doing all that but some of these haikyuu volleyball matches last a whole season. anyways

Fyodor’s little stretch…!
My thoughts? Honestly, it’s a bit of a nothing chapter (I say as I don’t know what any of the dialogue is but I know it’s just going to be Fyodor explaining more space-dimensional bullshit manga logic). It is exciting to have Fukuzawa face off against Fyodor, but Asagiri pulls this SO often man, where it’s like “A new challenger enters the ring” every chapter and multiple times per fight.
And this fight really should’ve been Akutagawa’s time to shine. I know he’s going to get back up, but man.

Just read a fic with Akutagawa struggling to read and it's such an exceptional characterization tidbit, I really wish more people would take it into consideration. For real: he's been living in the most miserable conditions most of his life, and it's implied in canon he never had the chance to attend proper education up to at least 14; it only makes sense he would stumble to process written text. Seriously, less of savvy Akutagawa and more illiterate Akutagawa. In my opinion it also makes a nice symbolic juxtaposition with his irl counterpart, to have a character who's barely able to read when the original is one of the most important authors of Japanese literature.

Day 13: Loyalty
Dazai’s always known Chuuya is loyal to a fault – saw it on the day they met when the boy was doing his best to not get the Sheep involved.
Saw it shattered with a knife to the back, too.
And yet, that didn’t stop Chuuya from still going out of his way to protect Shirase when they were sixteen. Never stopped him from sacrificing it all in the name of his friends, multiple times. Never stopped him from going against the organization that destroyed his family over, multiple times. And never stopped him from following Dazai to the grave even though the man has screwed Chuuya over, multiple times.
Dazai has never understood how someone could stay by someone’s side like that, through thick and thin, through backstabs and heartache, and still show up for them. He doesn’t get it.
And he sure as hell knows he doesn’t deserve Chuuya’s loyalty.
To him, loyalty like that is a death sentence – a dog looking up to its owner to come back everyday to feed it. No, in this cruel world, it’s up to those who find their own food who win.
That’s not to say Chuuya doesn’t have that. If push comes to shove, he’ll always have a top person on the loyal-to list, and if he magically doesn’t, he’d still manage to survive.
More than anything, though, it is that Dazai doesn’t understand why that top-level loyalty is attached to /him./
He’s stabbed Chuuya in the back – at least, metaphorically. He’s not some sheep – has made decisions that cost him friends, has left the redhead himself–
And yet, Chuuya still comes.
Chuuya still let him out of the dungeon when he should have killed him. Chuuya still fought a dragon to save him when he could have been dead. Chuuya still risked being touched by Dostoyevsky’s ability when it was unknown. Chuuya has used Corruption countless times with no guarantee that Dazai would make it to him.
Really, Dazai should be loyal to him.
But he wouldn’t be Dazai Osamu, ex-Black Wraith, if he is, right?
Right?
Loyalty can only get you so far in this world, he learned that long ago.
But when he thinks about Chuuya – beautiful, kind-soul Chuuya – he can’t help but admire the redhead. It takes courage to stand strong like that, with and for others. It takes a heart of gold to do the things Chuuya has done in the name of the people he cares about.
That’s something Dazai doesn’t believe he has.
But in moments when a flash of orange invades his vision and gorgeous azure eyes pierce his–
His heart always stops, a wave of what he would say the feeling of devotion might feel like passes through him, and he knows, deep down, he would do anything for Nakahara Chuuya.
He would give his everything for him. His soul, his death, his life.
Because let it be known that while Dazai Osamu would easily die for Nakahara Chuuya, he would also live for him. And isn’t that ironic coming from a suicidal man?
Perhaps Dazai is loyal to Chuuya, perhaps he is not. Whatever it is, he does know that he wouldn’t change a thing.

Just as a side note to the Runaway sskk au: Kyouka is saved from the mafia by Akutagawa.
Atsushi was never the level that og!Akutagawa was as a mentor, but Kyouka was scared as fuck of him because he never took human form near her and was always watching from afar, so she frequently felt like walking on eggshells and like he would kill her if she made the slightest slip during any of her missions.
In reality Atsushi was just trying to look out for her in a way a tiger will usually deal with a cub close to the age of beggining to hunt, tottally unaware of how scary he was for her until she was hiding behind Akutagawa when he came to retrieve Kyouka from the ada and realized she thought of him as a threat.

False Lead
(TW: Dazai cuts skin that's been infected by a poison off of Kunikida and himself. While it's not graphic, I want you guys to stay safe. Poison. Mentions of self-harm. It's Dazai from when he was a teenager, but it's just briefly mentioned.)
DAZAI AND CHUUYA, AGE 16
“You are absolute shit at that,” Chuuya says. “Give it to me.”
Dazai sticks his tongue out and keeps gathering the things to stitch himself up.
“Okay, fine. Don’t come crying to me when you screw it up.” Chuuya kicks his feet up and leans back.
“You’re a dick,” Dazai says.
“Yeah, I am,” Chuuya replies, turning his head back towards Dazai. “You gonna hand the stuff over?”
Dazai offers the first aid kit to Chuuya and he takes it.
“Maybe I should teach you this so you don’t come back from missions with those ugly-ass stitches you normally come back with.”
“I don’t go on that many missions without you anymore.”
“I know, but it’s stupid that you can’t do this with how much you hurt yourself. Or others hurt you, but that’s usually your fault as well.”
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“Taunting someone who could kill you with their hands tied behind their back is stupid, Shitty Dazai.”
“Yeah, like Chibi could do better,” Dazai shoots back at him.
Chuuya grabs Dazai’s arm and starts stitching him up. Chuuya talks Dazai through properly stitching himself up. Dazai flinches once or twice, but otherwise he doesn’t react.
PRESENT TIME
“Kunikida, the president wants to speak to you,” Tanizaki says when Kunikida comes in.
“Alright, thank you,” Kunikida replies, then heads to the President’s office.
“Hello, Kunikida,” Fukuzawa says when Kunikida opens the door and walks in.
“Mr. President, what can I do for you?”
“I have a case for you and Dazai.”
Fukuzawa hands Kunikida a file and Kunikida glances over the first page.
“I’d like you to deal with this as cleanly as you can. The police have started complaining that we always leave a mess for them to clean up. Not that I agree with them, but just to be safe.”
“I’ll make sure that Dazai behaves, sir.”
“Thank you, you’re dismissed. Can you send Ranpo in here on your way out?”
“Yes, sir.”
Kunikida walks out of the President’s office. “Ranpo, he wants to see you.”
“Oh, nice,” Ranpo says, then gets up and heads into the office.
Kunikida finishes reading the file as he gets to his desk. He looks up and Dazai’s sitting at his desk.
“You’re on time,” Kunikida says.
“I’m only late fifty percent of the time,” Dazai replies.
“That can’t be true, but we have a case. There are ability users tormenting villages outside of town. We have an idea of where the base is, so we’re going to check it out and deal with it if they’re there.”
“Alrighty. Guess I’m not spending the morning on this paperwork.”
They head out to the car and then start driving to the warehouse. The drive to the warehouse is quiet, Dazai seeming lost in his own thoughts and Kunikida not feeling up to a conversation with Dazai. They park and there’s no sign of anybody.
“Maybe they’re out feeding ducks,” Dazai says.
Kunikida slaps him upside his head, then they walk into the warehouse and it’s eerily silent.
“Creepy,” Dazai mutters.
Kunikida ignores the comment and keeps walking.
“Nobody seems to be here,” Kunikida says.
“Mhm.”
As they get further into the warehouse, there are symbols and words painted on the walls. Most of them Kunikida doesn’t recognize or can’t understand. There are a couple he does know. Slurs for ability users and anti-ability symbols are painted in random places. Kunikida turns in just enough time to see Dazai flipping off one of the slurs painted on the wall.
“If it’s a group of ability users, shouldn’t they not like these no-no terms?” Dazai asks.
Kunikida nods. “I have a bad feeling about this place.”
“Great. Since nobody’s here, can we leave? The police can do a thorough check seeing if there are any important documents or something.”
Kunikida stops in front of the large, middle area of the warehouse. The entire room is painted in clowns and warning signs.
“What the hell is that?” Kunikida hears a click sound. “Did you…?”
Dazai doesn’t even let Kunikida finish the question before grabbing his arm and running back towards the exit. Kunikida runs with Dazai.
“What is happening?” Kunikida asks.
Before Dazai can answer, a knife shoots out of the wall and cuts Kunikida’s side.
“Damn,” Dazai hisses.
Dazai pushes Kunikida away from him and a knife flies past where Kunikida just was. Another knife knicks Kunikida’s arm. Kunikida turns to check on Dazai and he can see fire at the end of the hallway. Dazai grabs Kunikida and drags him out of the building. Kunikida falls and Dazai kneels down next to him.
“Don’t fight me right now,” Dazai says.
“I won’t.”
Dazai checks Kunikida’s injuries, then sighs. He pulls a knife out of his pocket.
“You’re feeling pretty numb, right?”
Kunikida nods.
“Hold still then. This is still gonna hurt,” Dazai says.
Kunikida opens his mouth to respond and Dazai puts Kunikida’s belt in his mouth.
“Bite down on that and try not to squirm.”
Kunikida bites down on the belt and Dazai cuts the skin around Kunikida’s injuries off. Kunikida bites down harder on the belt. Dazai skillfully cuts all of the infected skin away.
“I’m sorry, Kunikida,” Dazai says.
Kunikida feels the darkness taking over his vision and Dazai taps his face. Kunikida turns his head.
“I need you to stay awake. I can’t risk you dying on me after I just had to do that. Hopefully the drugs will kick in soon.”
“Drugs?” Kunikida chokes out.
“Yeah, I gave you some after I got you out of the house. You didn’t notice?”
Kunikida shakes his head. Dazai nods, then looks at his shirt and pants. They’re covered in Kunikida’s blood and Kunikida tries not to think about how much blood he must have lost. It takes a while for him to start feeling better.
“Feel any better?” Dazai asks.
Kunikida nods.
Dazai pulls the first aid kit out of his bag and starts expertly tending to Kunikida’s wounds.
“Where did you learn that?” Kunikida mumbles.
“What?” Dazai asks.
“You’re good at that. Where did you learn?”
“I learned from a friend who used to patch me up. I wasn’t all that good at it before.”
“Why did you say friend like that?”
“Those drugs sure make you curious. We were friends. We haven’t been on good terms in a while. I like to think we’ll get back on good terms, but that would require work on my end and I’m afraid to reach out like that. I have a feeling he won’t want to work things out.”
“Are you talking about that redhead from the Mafia?”
“Chuuya or Tachihara?”
“The one that wasn’t a Hunting Dog, so Chuuya, if I remember correctly.”
“Very observant of you.”
“I saw how the two of you interacted and the President mentioned how fondly Mori spoke of you working with Chuuya.”
Dazai grips Kunikida’s arm for a moment, then it’s like it never happened. “Mori was very fond of what Chuuya could do, and he can’t do it without me.”
“What does that mean?”
“Nothing we should discuss. I made a promise that I intend to keep. Anyway, look at that. Both injuries tended to and you only almost bled to death.”
“That’s not as comforting of a thought as you think it is, Dazai,” Kunikida growls.
“Oops,” Dazai says with a shrug.
Dazai pulls his jacket off, then starts unbuttoning his shirt.
“What are you doing?” Kunikida asks.
“What I just did for you. What, you thought that I somehow managed to avoid the dozen flying knives when you didn’t?”
Dazai’s arm has a nasty cut on it. Dazai pulls the bandages off his arm and bites down on his belt. He starts cutting his own skin off and Kunikida turns away. Dazai groans several times, but that’s it. Dazai’s arm, blood dripping down it, reaches over Kunikida and grabs the bandages from the first aid kit. Dazai carefully wraps his arm up, then pulls his shirt and jacket back on.
The sounds of an engine echo through the hills. Dazai grabs the pistol from next to him and checks the bullet count.
“Yeah, if it’s anybody other than the Agency, we’re dead,” Dazai says. “Good a time as any to die, I guess.”
“You were just talking about talking it out with Chuuya.”
“Yeah, and? I’ve almost died a dozen times since I came to the conclusion that I wanted to do that.”
“A dozen? What have you been doing?”
“Lots of beautiful women,” Dazai answers sarcastically.
Dazai’s attention returns to the road. An Agency car comes into view and Dazai sighs and puts the gun down.
“Well, guess I get to live.”
Kunikida’s vision goes dark and he passes out.
Kunikida wakes up in the Agency’s infirmary. He sits up and his head spins.
“Hey, take it easy,” Yosano says. “I just finished healing you not that long ago.”
“Sorry, Akki,” Kunikida says. “What happened?”
“What do you remember?”
“I remember leaving the Agency on time with Dazai for once because he showed up early. I remember driving out of town to find the cause of those problems, but nothing clear after that. Fire. Dazai being far too close to my face. Sounds like an engine.”
“Dazai wrote up a report that you should read when you’re feeling better, but he said that the place was rigged with a bunch of traps. Something set on fire, he didn’t think it was intentional. You got cut twice by a knife that had some kind of drug or poison on it. He said you were out of it within minutes of being cut. He patched you up and called for backup since the car you guys took was disabled. Tanizaki went and picked you guys up with Kenji.”
Kunikida nods, feeling like he’s missing an important event. Kunikida’s hand subconsciously goes to his side.
“Phantom pain?” Yosano asks. “You had a pretty nasty cut there. If I didn’t know better, I’d say that someone cut you. Not just a knife flying at you.”
“There’s no pain. Your ability is amazing, as usual,” Kunikida answers. “Can you grab me that report?”
Yosano nods, then heads out. Once she comes back, she hands him the report.
“How long was I out?”
“Three hours after you came back, so four hours total counting the car ride and making sure that you were fine before getting in the car.”
Kunikida nods. “Why did it take that long for you to heal me if it was only recently?”
“I wasn’t in the office and it took me that long to get back after we got word of your injury,” Yosano answers.
Kunikida reads the report and it matches up with Yosano’s story, nothing extra that sticks out. More details, but no extra events.
“Weird,” Kunikida mutters. “Is Dazai still here?”
“He is. He’s currently talking to Atsushi about going to a park. Not really sure why, but he is.”
Kunikida nods. “I’ll talk to him later.”
After almost an hour of talking with Yosano and Ranpo when he comes in for a few minutes, Kunikida heads out to the main office. Dazai’s working on paperwork with a somewhat distant expression on his face.
“Dazai.”
Dazai looks up, then gives Kunikida his usual somewhat mocking smile. “Hey, Kunikida. Akki told me that you didn’t remember much of the mission, that still true?”
“Unfortunately, yes. Did I miss anything?”
“Other than my exceptional first aid skills, you’re not missing anything,” Dazai says. “Trust me, it wasn’t worth remembering. You’re such a bore when you’re high.”
Kunikida sighs. “Alright.”
It still feels like something important’s missing. Wait…
“Did you get injured? It wasn’t in the report.”
“Me? No. There weren’t that many knives and I got in the way of you properly dodging them. Pretty normal stuff for us.”
Kunikida cuts his eyes at Dazai, but heads to his desk to get some work done.

Shaking
Dazai prances into Chuuya’s office.
“I got a new mission, and you’re gonna hate it!”
“Wonderful, have fun with that, bye.”
“No, Chuuya, the boss wants us to work together on it.”
“Damn it. Fine, sit down, and tell me about it. I’m going to keep working on this report, but I’m still listening.”
Dazai throws himself down in the other chair, which immediately breaks, throwing him to the floor.
“Ow, why did that happen?”
“Probably because that chair was getting a bit loose, and you just threw your whole body weight into it. I was planning on getting a screwdriver, and checking the screws, but now it’s broken. So, I’m probably going to have to put new screws in entirely. Thank you.”
“Whatever, that was totally your fault, and I didn’t even break my neck, or something fun,” Dazai mutters, sulking on the floor.
“Whatever, just tell me about the mission.”
Dazai nods.
“Ok, well, we’re going to break into the Special Division for Unusual Powers’ main headquarters.”
Chuuya looks up.
“What? Why?”
“Because we’re going to be stealing a bunch of their files. In fact, we have a list. Mori wants to poach a bunch of the ability users that the government is forcing to register their powers, so he wants us to steal their files. Also, we’re supposed to make sure that there are no other copies, or digital files. Nothing about them is supposed to be left in case they do say yes.”
“Wait, didn’t you tell me that you were going to be doing something today?”
“Yeah, which is the other part that you’re going to love. I was actually going to be teaching someone today. You haven’t met him yet, but he’s going to be coming with us. His name is Akutagawa.”
“You want to bring someone else on our highly dangerous mission, which is already going to be hard enough? You know I don’t trust the idiots in this organization not to screw everything up. You don’t either, so why can’t we just put off his training?”
“Because I actually do trust him not to mess things up. He’s been training under me for a while now, and he knows what happens when he screws things up.”
Chuuya raises one eyebrow.
“Wow, you’ve been training him for a while? That’s new, but fine. If you trust him, I do too. You don’t trust anyone. So, what time are we doing this?”
“We’re leaving at eight tonight. Where do you want to meet?”
“Can you pick up the guy, and come back here? We’ll meet in the lobby.”
“Yep, we’ll be there.”
Dazai stands up, glaring at the broken chair for a minute before walking out. Chuuya sighs as he puts his head into his propped up hand. He continues his work, heading home a little earlier to get ready. Chuuya ends up waiting an extra half hour for Dazai to walk in with a literal child. He looks like he can’t be older than twelve, and he looks like Dazai just woke him up.
“Why are you late? Also, why do you have a child with you?”
“Well, it turns out that I forgot to tell Akutagawa that we were doing this, and he was asleep. Also, I got lost while going to get him.”
“This is Akutagawa? This is who you’ve been teaching? How old is he? He looks like he’s twelve!”
“He’s not twelve. Tell him how you are.”
Akutagawa avoids looking into Chuuya’s eyes.
“I’m fourteen, sir.”
His bangs hang into his face as he looks down at Chuuya’s shoes. Chuuya looks over the kid with a more critical eye this time. He’s thin, thin enough that you can count his bones. He has a small frame, and big eyes set into a small face. He’s wearing a t-shirt, loose fitting jeans, and a jacket around his waist. Nothing that could hide how small he is. All of it makes him seem younger, but now that Chuuya’s looked him over, it also looks like he could just be poorly taken care of.
“Ok, where did you get a child from, and why?”
“That’s not important. The important part is that he’s a member of the mafia, and my protege. So, we’re going to teach him how to do real missions.”
“Dear God, ok. Did he explain what we were doing?” Chuuya asks, turning back to Akutagawa.
Akutagawa shakes his head. Dazai grips Akutagawa’s arm.
“He did, but I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening. Can you please explain again?”
Chuuya glances between them.
“Yeah, sure.”
He gives Akutagawa a brief overview, but Akutagawa doesn’t look up at him even one time.
“You are being so rude, Aku. You’re not even looking at Chuuya. Doesn’t he deserve a little more respect than that?”
“It’s fine. Though you do need to keep your eyes peeled while we’re on this mission, ok?” Chuuya cuts in as quickly as he can.
Akutagawa nods quickly, and Dazai lets go of his arm.
“Put that jacket on, and we’re going to get a move on,” Dazai says, then turns to walk out.
Chuuya grabs his backpack.
“Yeah, it’s getting late, and I want to be able to get at least a little sleep tonight.”
The drive is horribly quiet with Chuuya driving, and Dazai sitting in the back with Akutagawa. Surprisingly, neither of them talk the entire drive, and Chuuya is left questioning his life choices. Eventually they get close, and have to ditch the car. Dazai turns to Akutagawa.
“Make a distraction for us, and then come meet us in the file room.”
“Have you seen the rough sketches that we have? I want to make sure that you can meet back up with us without issue,” Chuuya says.
Akutagawa shakes his head. Chuuya pulls them out of his backpack.
“Here, take those with you. I have them memorized already, and they’re not a lot of information in the first place.”
Akutagawa takes them with shaking hands, and a wide eyed look. Dazai rolls his eyes.
“You don’t need to coddle him. He’s only a year younger than we were when we started working together.”
Chuuya ignores him, and gives Akutagawa an encouraging smile. Akutagawa looks between them, uncertainty in his eyes before he takes off. Chuuya and Dazai wait until a few of the guards walk away, then they take out the rest of them. It’s not hard to get into the building after that.
“That was the quietest distraction I’ve ever seen,” Chuuya says as they try to find the file room.
“Eh, it was ok.”
“You don’t know what he actually did,” Chuuya reminds him.
Dazai shrugs.
“Is there something that I need to know about this kid, or your relationship with him?”
“No, he’s just a grunt.”
“Just a grunt? You took on a grunt?”
“I thought he had potential. I was wrong.”
Chuuya hums as he finally opens the right door.
“Ok, this way. Grab the list that Mori gave you.”
“I don’t have that.”
“What? Why not?”
“I didn’t grab it. I didn’t even grab my backpack.”
“Do you have any idea what we’re supposed to be grabbing?”
“No, not really.”
“Dazai, how many times has your laziness ruined our missions?”
“Never, we always figure something out.”
“Sir,” Akutagawa pops up behind them, and Dazai immediately swings around.
Both of them go to hit him, but Chuuya pulls back. Dazai’s fist slams right into Akutagawa’s face. Akutagawa leans against the wall, holding his face.
“Don’t sneak up on me like that! You could have been anyone.”
“Sorry, sir. I got done with my distraction, and set up traps around the entrances to this part of the floor just in case.”
“Good job, just try not to sneak up on us next time,” Chuuya says, patting Akutagawa’s shoulder. “Now, back to the issue at hand.”
He turns back to Dazai with a raised eyebrow.
“What issue?” Akutagawa asks.
“Dazai didn’t bring his backpack, or the list.”
Akutagawa slips a piece of paper out of his back pocket, and offers it to Dazai. Dazai takes it, and opens it.
“Oh, here it is. Let’s start looking.”
“Good job.”
“He put it down when he first started talking to me, so I assumed it was important.”
They’re almost done finding the papers for every name on the list when they hear clamoring outside.
“Shit, that must be Akutagawa’s traps. We need to hurry, then figure out a way through a window.”
“We still have to wipe the computers,” Dazai reminds him.
“Damn it. I forgot about that.”
“I just finished that,” Akutagawa calls from the other side of the room where the computers are located.
It’s only a few minutes before Chuuya stuffs the last paper into his bag.
“Let’s go. I’m going down first, then I’ll either set something up to catch you two, or just do it myself.”
“I don’t need help,” Akutagawa replies, shifting from foot to foot quickly.
“Ok, then you can just follow me down. I’m going to catch Dazai then, cause it’s not worth the time to set something else up.”
Chuuya punches the window, shattering it instantly. He jumps down, and Dazai pokes his head out of the window. Chuuya gives him a thumbs up after situating himself. He jumps out, and Chuuya has no issue catching him. Chuuya puts him down, then turns back to the window, but Akutagawa is already on the ground floor.
“Come on, we have to get out of here before-” Chuuya starts, but an alarm starts blaring all around them. “We have to get out of here.”
Something blows up to their right, and the blast is enough to throw Akutagawa and Dazai off their feet.
“The alarm wasn’t for us,” Chuuya says as he pulls Dazai up.
“You think someone’s attacking them, and we’re just in the wrong place at the wrong time?”
“Yes.”
“I completely agree. That means this place is going to be locked down, and we don’t even know who-” Dazai is cut off by another explosion, this one is from inside. It blows out the wall that they’re standing right next to.
Akutagawa blinks hard, trying to remove the spots from his vision. His hearing hasn’t fully come back yet either. Blood drips into his right eye from his bangs. He tries to wipe it away to no avail. There are armored men swarming the place, and they don’t look like government, so they must be the terrorists.
His hearing is starting to come back, and Dazai is talking to Chuuya. He can’t make out what they’re saying yet, but they’re talking very fast. Chuuya is glaring at Dazai, but they seem to argue all the time, so it doesn’t really tell Akutagawa anything about the conversation. It’s only a few minutes before Chuuya starts walking towards the armored men, who are shooting anything in sight.
Akutagawa can hear just fine now, but he still doesn’t catch what Chuuya says as he’s walking away, because he’s speaking under his breath. Akutagawa turns to Dazai, but Dazai is just watching Chuuya. Red marks crawl up Chuuya’s neck to his face, and down his arms to his hands.
Akutagawa stares with wide eyes, wondering what in the hell is happening. He starts flinging red orbs around like it’s nothing, killing everyone in sight, and destroying everything else. Dazai puts a hand on Akutagawa’s chest, and pushes him back a few feet as he also steps back.
He waits a few minutes for all of the terrorists to be dead, and all the government workers to be inside before marching up to Chuuya. He puts a hand around Chuuya’s wrist, also using it to catch Chuuya before he hits the ground. Dazai pulls Chuuya over to Akutagawa, and tosses him at Akutagawa.
“You’re going to bring him back to the car. I’ll drive.”
Chuuya is shaking like a leaf, and there’s blood dripping down his face.
“Jackass,” he mutters, still glaring at Dazai.
“Are you ok?” Akutagawa asks, realizing that his voice is shaking.
“I’m fine, kid. Let’s just get to the car, ok?”
“Ok, what was that?”
“That was Corruption.”
Akutagawa’s eyes widen again.
“I’ve heard of that.”
“I assumed you had.”
Akutagawa helps Chuuya to the car, completely silent. He gets Chuuya settled in the backseat before climbing into the passenger seat. The drive back is quiet aside from Chuuya’s soft snoring. They stop at his apartment first, and Dazai takes him inside.
Akutagawa rocks back and forth, anxiety filling his chest while Dazai’s gone. The drive back to where Akutagawa’s staying is quiet too, but Dazai follows him inside. Dazai takes him to his room, then handcuffs him to his nightstand.
“Next time, you’re not going to make me look bad. I told Chuuya that you were reliable, and he believed me. Instead of being helpful, you got knocked out by a rock. So, you’re going to stay here until I come back, then we’ll discuss your punishment for failing.”
Akutagawa nods, looking down. He feels hate well up to join the anxiety, but it’s not pointed at Dazai. It’s just for him, almost enough to choke him. He forces the tears back, even after Dazai leaves, but he can’t stop his hands from shaking.

So I was rereading 15 and I noticed this:
(i am reading a fan translation but this must be in the official one too)
Ango made a report on the Arahabaki Incident, but there is another supplementary TOP SECRET report by an unknown
Interesting detail that I don't think we've got an explanation for and (that might come up in the main manga?)
