Spring break has been extended, classes are moving to online formats, and sports are cancelled for the foreseeable future.

I took a spontaneous target trip yesterday and bought two lamps and then rearranged my workspace. I’m kind of excited for how much time I have to study now.

18FEB2021: it has come to my attention that there might be some confusion about my re-posting older pix/vids/photos and my actual (current) location. I am at home here in El PasoTX-USA, and have been here since 16MAR2020. I had started my Third Annual First Quarter Odyssey: Tierra del Fuego on 14JAN2020 when she dropped me off downtown, I Gimpwalked across puente Santa Fe and caught an AeroMexico flight to LimaPERU. On 12MAR2020, I was in CochabambaBOLIVIA when she requested me to return home ASAP. A few days later (16MAR), I caught the LAST AeroMexico flights from LimaPERU to Cd. JuárezEUM, Gimpwalking across puente libre/Cordova Bridge/BOTA a few hours before the border closed. I have been here in El Paso CountyTX (except for one overnight biketour to the USBP checkpoint on Montana/US62-180 in adjacent Hudspeth County (October 2020), and am afraid of self-quarantine if I go back to nifty New Mexico. Sadly, the border remains closed to non-essential travel, so MAGNIFICENT MEXICO is not possible. During this COVID19 pandemic crisis/restrictions, I have done much handy-work around our home. I’ve also been able to continue re-posting some of the pix/vids/photos of previous Annual First Quarter Odyssey’s and other (pleasant) memories, most of which have occurred overseas. So, whether I’m in Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, Chile, Peru, or elsewhere, please look at the date or possibly the caption. I am definitely inside the USA, and do not expect departure for at least another ten to twenty-two months. Meanwhile, please enjoy my postings/commentary, and know that I appreciate any comments you have. Whilst 2/3 of the way through my Third Annual First Quarter Odyssey [Tierra del Fuego, 14JAN-07APR2020; COVID19 truncated to 16MAR] and I was overnighting in the fantastic Versailles-HI CochabambaBOLIVIA on 12MAR2020 when my much better half contacted me with her request for me to return home ASAP. I was most agreeable though woefully ignorant about the emerging coronavirus pandemic crisis. Fortunately, my most favorite #1 son & daughter-in-law secured an air ticket aboard the last AeroMexico flights from LimaPERU to Cd. JuárezEUM before the airports closed at midnight on 16MAR. Exactly four months ago, I was returning home after an excellent overnight at the fabulous Holiday Inn Lima-airport! I’m so pleased with this odyssey; I met so many helpful/interesting people, enjoyed a continuous number of overcoming challenges as “My World Upon Wheels/reTIRED World (Bike)tour” remains ongoing. The only problem I had was a thief in the super Salta por Siempre hostel, who stole the money pouch/tooth kit out of my rucksack. (Theft in a hostel is EXTREMELY rare.) I’m looking forward to international travel again, especially biketouring in MAGNIFICENT MEXICO! But, the USA is #1, leading the World with COVID19 cases/death and we are not welcome due to our carrying this highly contagious disease. So the borders are closed, we are “locked down” until a vaccine ensures not only personal safety, but also everybody else around us. Wearing a mask is the first move toward slowing the spread!
