It’s a strange feeling, seeing the snow fall outside of the windows. Sometimes I wonder how these people ever survived, they don't have heaters, greenhouses, anything of the sort. I suppose maybe this ‘Dark Dragon’ is on their side as they say.

Speaking of that, I did some research on what exactly this ‘Dark Dragon’ is. I’ve heard Grand-Commander Kumatora say the phrase before, but I suppose I never thought anything of it until 4b mentioned it.

Apparently, this Dark Dragon is their sort of God. They believe that the island they live on is not natural made land, instead it is the back of this ‘Dragon’.

It’s truly amazing to see what people come up with when they have no explanations for things that are just scientific.

No one seems to look at us as we come back. As if they did not notice our absence. Then I see Eric making a beeline for us. One part of me wants to steer my mother away. To avoid a similar conversation like the one she had with Tobias earlier. The other half considers the latter idiotic, that nothing wrong is going to happen.

There's some dude (derogatory) on FB who is PISSED people are pricing their farm fresh eggs at $2 and $3 a dozen instead of $4+, saying it's "disrespectful" and "undignified" and "I'm trying to feed my kids" like Sir, you are on a Facebook group page bitching about your neighbors egg prices because your pet chickens aren't earning you a living wage and you think it's your neighbors' fault, you do not have a leg to stand on here wrt dignity.

Also half the answers are like "I give them to friends and family free" or "I donate them to food banks" or "I'm making them affordable to folks who might not otherwise be able to get them now that they're so expensive in the store" and "if you think you're going to turn a profit keeping backyard chickens you have been wildly misled" and so on, and so forth, and I'm so living for it.

and I can tell you right now, he did NOT like my answer of "if you're trying to feed your kids, I hear eggs are edible."

Belphie was having a weird issue that freaked me out, so I took him in, and they said he could be in early stage heart failure. he’s going to stay while they do an echocardiogram, and then they’ll let me know.

I just realized it'll take the eng server almost a year to reach the 3D Cheka T pose model :' ) we're at book 7 part 6, and we get a new main story update every 2 to 3 months..

Anyway, do you wanna share some fun, spoiler-free shenanigans that happened in jp's server.? Just to have some crumbs to lick off the table until we get our own sandwich (my heart is empty and my soul is crying)

spoiler-free is pretty hard, especially considering. the, uhhh, particular turn that things take directly after 6. (like, the fact that the other characters are showing up probably counts on its own?) and I do think that if you can avoid getting spoiled, most of it is definitely better as a surprise! some of the genuinely best Twst moments are waiting for you. :D

if I may, however, present one of my favorite little throwaway bits with absolutely no context:

My favorite thing about this week's episode of pjo is the epic boss battle music playing in the background when Percy was driving the car. The way the music makes it so a 12 year old driving a car and crashing into things has the same sense of danger as a fight scene, the triumphant music when Percy manages to make a turn without crashing, the way the music stopped the moment Percy ran into the wall. An excellent choice

Summary:

Tris Prior is determined to make it through initiation. Determined to prove a certain Dauntless leader wrong, that she's not easy fodder for elimination. Even when he begins one-on-one training with her three days into initation, she doesn't trust his intentions.

Excerpt:

That next morning, Ally does not make mention what she saw that night. Maybe she thinks it was best not to ask what was going on. I don’t feel like explaining how Eric is signaling me out of all the other transfers – out of the two Abnegation transfers especially – for one-on-one training. Even if I tell them the story that Eric would want me to tell, they feel it was unfair.

            I never wanted this in the first place anyway. I don’t like it that a part of me finds these training sessions advantageous to my odds of passing initiation.

            When the night comes, I fall into my mattress. My aching muscles seeming to think me for the rest. My body feels sore – both from sparring with Eric at the morning and for sparring with Molly this afternoon. At first, I was nervous of my odds given how easily she beaten Christina, even if Vi beat her. On the platform, though, she proved to be all strength but no strategy the way she fights, just like Drew. She managed to get a good punch to my eye and face before I was able to bring her to the ground just by punching her in the stomach and sweep-kick her legs out from under her. Four had to get me off the platform when I kept kicking her after she was down.

            My parents wouldn’t like to hear that I kicked someone that was down either.

            After I get up, I see Molly hobble across the dormitory, her nose purple between strips of medical tape. I don’t waver as she glares at me, as if it was my fault she lost yesterday.
