Fondue night for Christmas Eve! Yummy! And mom made Green Bean Casserole for me as she promised to when she didn't make it for Thanksgiving. And I got off of work soon enough, they waited to have Christmas Eve Dinner until I got home! AND FONDUE AGAIN FOR DINNER TOMORROW!!

I think Beast sskk would be very secretive when it comes to their relationship (like sskk usually are), but let's pretend for a moment that they weren't.

It'd be so funny if Akutagawa had that specific kind of Columbo-like detective approach where he keeps bringing up his supposed “wife” at the most random times during cases. And obviously at the agency nobody believes him because they never saw him hang out with anyone outside of work (besides spending time with Oda's orphans), and the idea of Akutagawa having a spouse is enough unbelievable by its own. So everyone is kinda convinced he's just made them up, but making up an imaginary spouse would be like, the fourteenth most weird thing the feral gremlin of the ada has done, so they don't put much thought into it. That's until one day they have an office party where everyone is free to bring their partners, and that's how the agency finds out that Akutagawa's “wife” not only exists but is actually the ex Port Mafia White Reaper Nakajima Atsushi

“Something stupid?” Andrew’s drugged smile unnerves her again.

“Yeah,” Janie agrees and decides not to elaborate.

“Like what?” He leans against the passenger car door and she can see how he presses the ice cream against the window and Kevin’s disgusted face.

“You want me to think of something stupid for you guys to do?” she asks, “I thought you were more creative than to need to outsource your labor.”

The thing with sskk is that. Atsushi is selfish and cocky. But he's also shy and sweet. Akutagawa is ruthless and overbearing, and insecure and selfless. They contain multitudes. Seemingly contrasting traits coexist in them and that's just another reason why they come to clash against each other so often, because they're both different and the same at the same time. Reducing them to only one trait is wrong and inaccurate, but I also think we should all be more forgiving to fic writers' characterizations and a little kinder to different interpretations of the characters because they're genuinely complex and multilayered characters that are objectively hard to get right.
