Meet the newest rising star, Olivia Rodrigo!
Olivia Isabel Rodrigo was born on February 20th, 2003 to her German-Irish mother and Filipino father in Temecula, California.
She began singing and taking lessons at a very young age and participated in musicals at her school.
Olivia’s voice coach told her she was very emotive while singing so she suggested Olivia start acting! She had an appearance in an Old Navy commercial before landing the lead role in American Girl’s “Grace Stirs Up Success” (2015).
In January 2016, Olivia officially moved to Los Angeles to begin filming for Disney Channel’s “Bizaardvark”. She starred as Paige Olvera on the show for 3 seasons (2016-2019).
In late 2019, Olivia landed another lead role, this time as ‘Nini Salazar-Roberts’ on Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”. Season One started airing on Disney’s new streaming service in November 2019 while Season Two is currently in prouduction.
She had the opportunity to write two songs for Season One of the show: “Just For a Moment” with her co-star and “All I Want”. She wrote the latter by herself in three days and it is certified Gold in the US and Platinum in Canada!
In January 2021, signed to Interscope and Geffen Records, Olivia Rodrigo officially launched her solo singing career independent of Disney with her debut single “drivers license”.
The song became a sensation breaking records left and right, garnering attention from some of the music industry’s biggest names (Taylor Swift, 2/3 of the Jonas Brothers, Niall Horan, and Halsey just to name a few), and launching Olivia into the spotlight.
A few of the records she now holds:
•Biggest Single Day Streams by a Female Artist in US Spotify History
•Highest Single Day Stream Peaks in US Spotify History
•Broke her own record about 3 times (I lost count) of the biggest single day streams for a non-holiday song in global Spotify history.
•Fastest song to reach both 100 million and 200 million streams on Spotify.
“drivers license” shot straight up to #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and became only the third song to to debut at #1 on their Global 200 and Global Excluding US charts! The song also got over 15 #1’s on worldwide official singles charts.
Olivia Rodrigo has more music coming soon and so many exciting things coming her way! Follow along here for updates on everything she is doing!

So you want to make $100,000? That’s just 1000 units of $100 product. I posed this question and am getting crazy feedback with people telling me they never thought about it that way. Blows my mind. So I’m posting it here too so you can see how my brain works a little. How many products would you have to sell at $25 (gross) over a year to match your annual salary? You don’t have to answer. Just think about it. Wanna earn an extra $100k (gross) on the side? That’s 4000 units at $25, 2000 units at $50, 1000 units at $100. What will you sell to create financial freedom? Financial freedom almost always comes from selling. Stop selling your time. You could sell 4000 units in a few months or even a day. Just depends. Just think about it. But do I have to quit my job? No. But what about costs? Zero hard costs if it’s digital my friend. All profit. What if I want to sell a physical product? My company @prouduct will make if for you. Subtract the cost from your retail price and multiply buy number of units to know how much you can profit. A $25 book less $5 cost to print is $20 profit (before taxes, etc). Sell 1000 books and you make $20k. Easy peasy. Anyone can do this on the side. Keep your stupid job if you like it or are scared. It doesn’t take a lot of time to make and sell something. Every sold a plate lunch or bake sale or Girl Scout cookies? Just sell on the weekends and if you sell 100 items for $10 you make an extra $1000 every week! That’s $4k a month. That’s...$52k extra a fricken year. Hello. ;) There are myriad ways to make money, yet regardless of how much you’re paid, how and why you get paid dictates your lifestyle. Change HOW you’re paid, change your life. Google my medium article with that same title. …You can change ALL things in your life, but until you take action on a new business model through employment or entrepreneurship, your day-to-day lifestyle remains the same. Go sell 1. Just 1. Yo. Go. (at Sunset Beach, Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/BumiKyNhYto/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=7g9l9a1urvct

Whip it, whip it real good
Week 2, Day 1: Today we learned about the equiptment available to us in the kitchen and the uses of the tools and equiptment. Chef Mark told us in the beginning of class that there is two type of equiptment items in a kitchen; utensils and tools. The difference? Utensils are any item in a kitchen that's being used to put together a recipe that is under $10, a tool is an item that is over $100. Some items in the utensil category include: sisters, chef spoon, spatulas, tongs, whisks, etc. The tools in the kitchen include: mixers, smoker, convection oven, cryo vac or the water bath (souls-vide), etc. Out of all the utensils the best money saver tool in the kitchen is the rubber spatula. The reason for this is that it allows the cook to transfer all of the ingredients from whatever they were holding them in to the next bowl or to the plate. It allows for a cook to have little to no waste or a product. The other utensil that I found interesting and learned something new about are the tongs. The cloud shaped end of the tongs is actually designed that way for a purpose. It was not designed that way to better pick up foods, but rather to use to juice something like a lemon, lime, orange, etc. Today we also learned about conversions of products in recipes that call for a certain measurement. For example, if a recipe calls for 1 cup of flour, equaled to 8 oz. of all purpose flour, YES or NO? (Stop reading and take a guess)...
If you answered YES...sorry to say but you are wrong. The answer is actually NO; the reason behind this is that it is referring to the weight of the flour. Meaning that the actual conversion would be 1 cup to 4.5 oz. of all purpose flour. All products that are liquid ingredients would use the 1 cup to 8 oz. conversion; prouducts that are water based, milk products, and egg based products. A great quote by Chef, "Great cooking is paying attention to small details".
One final interesting thing we learned today was about the feathers or a knife. The long steel that you see all chefs use on a knife before cutting into something, isn't actually sharpening the knife. If you look at the blade of a knife under a microscope you will see that the sharp part actually looks like feathers interwined with each other. When a knife becomes dull it is because these feathers are becoming more intertwined with each other. The long steel is actually pushing the feathers together forming a point, which makes the knife sharp again and ready to use. The only way to actually sharpen a knife is by rubbing the blade against a Japanese water rock creating a new blade all together.

Hello world, or currently no one, cause I have 0 followers at the moment. But hello, to anyone who happens to stumble up this. Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kelsey, I’m 21 years old, live in this crazy hippy town called Ann Arbor, work at a sex shop, and also an ice cream shop because I like to mix it up. You can’t just talk about vibrators and butt plugs and bondage all day every day, have to take a break from all the freaky shit with some sweet innocent ice cream, apparently.
~ While we are on the subject of my place of employment, it is not the sleezy establishment that most people picture in their head. Some of my more conservative realatives were nervous about me working here because they imagine the place is full of creepy old dudes lurking around the store, waiting to flash or to rape/murder the employees of the store. This is not at all the case. It’s located in a nicer, upper-middle class city in the Metro Detroit area. Most our customers are kind people who are just looking for help with their sex life. Mostly middle-age to older men and women, since they need a little more help reaching orgasm as they get older. The people who get super kinky are either very shy about it, or are at a comfort level that we are with having these conversations since they’re basically regulars. My manager, Doris, she’s a fucking character, is crazy as hell. No way that bitch would allow any creep to fuck with us. Actually; all the bitches that work at the store are crazy as hell and will easily/gladly cut anyone that tries to pull any funny business. This is a classy establishment, Doris is intense and pays attention to detail and has high expectations for the staff and the store. We are on our A game, we aren’t just selling people prouducts, we are also improving their lives tremendously. In just the first week I’ve seen so many people come in and thank Doris and some of the other Romance Specialist who’ve helped them in the past and they were so greatful they hugged them. Most people coming in are spending at least $100 sometimes, easily up to $500 on toys, lube/massage oil/cleaners, lingere, bondage equiptment, etc. they aren’t coming in to be creepy. Also our location is in an annoying area and is kind of hidden, the people coming in either know where we are or have to look for “Sex Shop Nearby” and find us. It’s kind of nice, since we are hidden in a busy area we still have high volume and higher class customers but we don’t get the annoying immature youths coming in to laugh at cock rings and vibrators or our bachlorette supplies. Usually people are coming in looking to buy either something specific or something to get them off but they are clueless and need help from the Romance Specialist.
Anyways the sex shop is really quite safe, as far as I know so far, I guess. Either way I’m good cause I’ve got a knife and pepper spray on me at all times; also I’m crazy and will kill a bitch if they try to jump me I don’t give a fuck. I suffer/deal with moderate/severe Depressive Disorder; symptoms I have to manage daily include low mood, anxiety, and insomnia but I have a fairly good hold on that with the help of antidepressants and medical marijuana, those dabs usually get me to sleep no problem. I also have ADHD which really fucked me up with school, I could never focus in class. I have mild obsessive compulsive habits so since I’m properly medicated for ADHD and I have such a demanding boss, the OCD kinda comes in handy. OCD + addy + working for Doris and needing to waste time + owning a German Shepherd and 3 cats who shed + having 2 roommates who are clean but busy = a pretty functional Kelsey.
I may write about my mood, if anything happens I gotta get off my chest, I may include anything interesting from my job at the ice cream shop; because it is in Ann Arbor which is home to the most interesting human beings. I have a pretty crazy family, my mom is quite the woman, I will probably write about her or anything crazy that happens in my family, cause holy shit, we are an eccentric bunch. But mainly I’ll write about the stories from the sex shop, and the people I work with.
Welcome to my crazy world.
