I first heard of 14 Iced Bears (London, England) around the same time I heard about The June Brides. Both were part of the C86 movement back in the 1980s. I found a retrospective CD at 1-2-3-4 Go! Records years ago and I eventually bought the Aberdeen/14 Iced Bears/June Brides LP.

Now Precious Recordings gives us TWO Peel Sessions from the 1980s. When listening to this,I can't help but think of bands like San Francisco's Chime School who have a new LP coming soon. In fact, I might as well create a listening bar:

how do garak and bashir feel about being grandparents?, also since theres a third elim (3lim) ((if i read tht right,,,,)

garak and bashirs parenting styles are reversed for grandparenting. julian's a total sap for his grandkids, taking them on trips and buying them elaborate educational toys. garak is the reserved victorian grandfather smoking a pipe in the study talking about The Old Days and ordering them around (especially in the garden, his knees aren't what they used to be.)

Bashir is still annoyed at the passage of time seeing fit to give his children (who, in his mind, are still kids) children of their own. Rude!

ranking yakuza games on how much i cried:

1: gaiden (the ending made me cry more then ive ever cried in my life i sobbed my eyes out and have myself a headache and was physically drained for a day and a half bc of how much i cried and couldn't sleep and teared up ten other times in the playthrough and the game was only 5 chapters and also even thinking abt the ending makes me tear up)

2: Yakuza 5 (the ending gave me a terrible headache and i cried like a lot during the game but not as bad as gaiden)

3 yakuza 0 (cried so much but i never gave myself a headache from crying)

4: yakuza like a dragon (cried so much at the end i have myself a headache, teared up a decent amount throughout but only the end made me actually sob)

5: yakuza 6 (was fine until the ending of the game where i cried pretty hard kiryu's letter really got to me 😭)

6: yakuza 3 (was pretty much okay but that one scene with kiryu crying actually made me sob so hard)

7: yakuza kiwami (teared up quite a few times, karaoke and the ending made me fully cry)

8: yakuza kiwami 2 (cried in the majima saga and at karaoke again)

9 yakuza 4 (i didn't cry or tear up once)

I was listening to the excellent new LP from False Tracks today and it made me think of this long lost LP from Oakland-based band Lenz. Lenz was active in the early 2010s - well before the Bay Area blew up as the musical mecca it is now considered.

As I was listening to Lenz and loving it's Television influenced sound, I realized that R.E. Seraphin was a member of the band. Seraphin popped up recently due to the fact that he is releasing a new LP via UK label Safe Suburban Home. Seraphin states that he is influenced by Green on Red - and I can see that somewhat hidden in the music of Lenz.

"Way To End A Day" was released by Oakland music store/label 1-2-3-4 Go Records. They had an excellent single on Sacramento label S-S Records.

having big thoughts about Sideshow's first two arcs that will mean having to majorly rewrite both of them despite being almost finished w/ the games first draft script......but also these big thoughts are making me recognize fucking HUGE plotholes that i had conveniently ignored the first time around, so again, it feels like needed changes

How to be a househusband and housewife together

There are many women out there who want to be a housewife. I, however, want to be a househusband. So, how is that going to work? You can't be a housewife and househusband together, right?

Wrong.

Here is my guide on how that is in fact possible and how to achieve it. Women, please listen up, because this is important to you when you marry me which I know you want to do.

Step 1) I become your househusband.

Step 2) You become my housewife.

Step 3) The bank takes the house.

Step 4) Can't be a househusband and a housewife without a house, right?

Step 5) Wrong. We pretend to move out, but actually we are just moving all of our stuff into the walls of the house, where we will live. Much like house gnomes.

Step 6) This can go on for years if we play it right, but eventually the family living there finds us.

Step 7) We get arrested on some trumped up charges like trespassing. We both know they are actually arresting us for daring to love.

Step 8) We go to prison.

Step 9) But what else is prison called?

Step 10) The jailHOUSE.

Step 11) We just can't stop winning.

Step 12) We get out of prison but have to reintegrate back into society.

Step 13) Where do we do that?

Step 14) The halfway HOUSE.

Step 15) We just can't stop winning.

Step 16) After we leave we have trouble finding stable employment due to our criminal record..

Step 17) So we become freelance DJs who play at clubs, restaurants, and parties.

Step 18) And what kind of music do we play?

Step 19) We just can't stop winning.

AU with an Aphrodisiac

While working on hextech, Viktor began working with shimmer to try and save his life. By chance he discovers a powerful aphrodisiac. Here are some spicy scenarios: Option #1 Viktor creates a drug that eases his symptoms, but the side effect is a physical reaction of the body. Using it becomes a challenge, so Jayce "helpfully" volunteers to assist. Option #2 Viktor accidentally gets affected by the aphrodisiac, and Jayce finds him in a very compromising state in the lab. Helping Viktor could be both an opportunity to express long-held feelings. So and become the cause of these feelings, because the image of a vulnerable and hot partner will not go out of his head. Option #3 The aphrodisiac is a gas. Jayce accidentally breaks a sample in the lab, and both inhale a potent dose. The results? From a simple but strong bodily reaction that they'd help each other with, and then choose to forget the whole thing. To a blurred mind where discharge is something to be achieved at all costs.With anyone. Option#4 Viktor tests the formula on Jayce by by treating him to a cup of oddly flavored tea. They used to have a brief affair,which Victor ended to avoid distractions during research. Regretting his decision, he decides to rekindle things in an unconventional way. Jayce could try to hold back while Viktor records all his reactions for "science". Or Vik can prudently clear the table and just wait Until the partner loses control.
