Understanding the Diversity of Christian Prayer. Exploring Various Forms of Devotion
To read on medium.com click HERE. Some Christians feel reticent to pray, but it should not be a scary thing to do. Prayer is simply a conversation with God and should always be made, as in 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. We naturally want to talk to God as we grow in our love for Jesus Christ. To chat with God and to listen to his voice as well should be as natural as breathing. Prayer is a two-way…

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NASB). “Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.”
“God’s Provisions in Adversity” By In Touch Ministries:
“Are you struggling right now? Look for reasons to express genuine gratitude to the Lord.”
“Yesterday, we looked at three provisions believers can count on during adversity: God’s presence, a pathway through trouble, and potential to grow. Today, let’s explore two more.
Protection. God doesn’t necessarily keep believers from distress or disappointment. Stopping the storms may be our goal, but from His point of view, the adversity may be necessary to mature us spiritually. However, the Father offers protection by staying with us in the struggle. What’s more, we have assurance that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). So our ever-present God walks with us through the hardships, providing guidance and speaking truth into the situation.
Peace. While difficulties cause many people anxiety, God’s peace is available to us. This serenity does not depend on whether circumstances improve. Rather, it’s a result of our relationship with Him. Our main focus shouldn’t be on fixing the problem; rather, we should seek and trust the Lord.
As we recognize the Lord’s provision during trials, we can genuinely express gratitude. Doing so will enable us to fix our eyes on Him rather than on our circumstance. While we often aren’t aware of the purpose for each trial facing us, we do know that God is trustworthy and good—and He won’t waste our suffering.”

"DON'T WAIT UNTIL THANKSGIVING TO THANK HIM!"
Read: 1 Chronicles 16:7-36 “O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever” (1 Chronicles 16:34 AMP) We often think of Gratitude in terms of Gain: Someone gives you a ride to work. A neighbor cooks a meal when you’ve had surgery. Your boss notices your hard work and gives you a raise. The kids clean up the house or your husband cooks dinner. For…

Mark 6:45-46 (TPT). “After everyone had their meal, Jesus instructed his disciples to get back into the boat and go on ahead of him and sail to the other side to Bethsaida. So he dispersed the crowd, said good-bye to his disciples, then slipped away to pray on the mountain.”
Luke 5:16 (CEV). “But Jesus would often go to some place where he could be alone and pray.”
Matthew 6:6 (NIV). “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV). “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
James 5:13-16 (ESV). “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”

Happy Almost Thanksgiving!
I saw this adorable little girl and the version of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, read it, took it to heart, and, whoa-la — my blog for today! Thanks, God, for the inspiration! I love it when I see and hear from Him. I’ve always said, my blogs are for me AND you! Clearly, this verse from 1 Thessalonians 5, speaks more about God’s will being in our actions than His actions. “Rejoice always, pray…
