181: too much

i have too much in my plate right now. college is so stressful. i dont know where to start. all i want... is just to sleep and never wake up again. everything is a mess. i dont know why. i dont even know how to handle myself. i cant even calm myself down. i want to go out and just have a breathe of fresh air, but i can’t.

college is just too much.

we need to breathe. 

for like a year, maybe. (lol, im not joking).

i want to see inay and just enjoy a good lomi in our kubo. aaaagggghhhh. why cant we have our lives back. :(

oh and i miss my boss. shoutout to u. sorry i cant come to ur place.. it’s not that i dont want... it’s just that.. i cant. truth is, if only i can, i would. :(

Watching the 6 o’clock news and seeing the Ontario medical professionals’ frustration and exhaustion Mama-T describes. The idea of triage is as shocking as it is frightening, yet here we are, on its doorstep. Godspeed to medical professionals everywhere. I am so grateful for each one of you.

Rant Alert:

Last year at this time I took a step back from social media because the American political scene, on top of the pandemic, and the assholes yapping on about both was too much. I was putting in more than full time hours in the ICU during the time of not enough PPE to go around and watched more than one young nurse break down and cry out of frustration, exhaustion, and worst of all fear for her own life as well as yours. Fast forward to today. Ontario is in a crisis, worse than we’ve seen so far. The field hospital that we threw together last year and thought we’d never need, is needed. Ontario ICUs are full to overcapacity. Qualified RNs are being asked to postpone vacation, come out of retirement, cut our medical or other leaves of absence short, whatever we can do to help. The feds are adding 350 ICU beds to the provincial total that we already can’t staff. The Red Cross is coming to help vaccinate with vaccine supplies that haven’t been delivered. I have seen Toronto ER docs and intensivists on TV begging for the publics’ cooperation and there’s no missing the shaking in their voices. They are afraid for us all. The next step, which was fiction a year ago, is triaging Covid cases. That means that between you and the guy on the stretcher next to you, as you both gasp for breath through your Covid filled lungs, only one of you can be accommodated and the staff has to decide which one of you gets the ICU bed that’s about to become available as soon as the person in it dies. And I’m so fucking mad right now I can tell you who I would NOT pick. I wouldn’t pick any of you who are reblogging that antivax, fire Fauci propaganda that crossed my dash today. That’s last year’s news and was debunked at the time but here it is again. Shame on you. Shame on every damn one of you. I’ll be blocking as soon as I stop shaking.
