Novel concept that I will never write:
MC is a bodyguard. His current protectee is a very rich kid, probably 14 or 15. The antagonists set up an ambush and kidnap both of them. Probably just a simple ransom thing.
Exchange is made, and the bodyguard is mildly surprised that he's set free along with the kid. It seems smarter to dispose of the adult witness who might have noticed more details about their captors.
The motive becomes clear when he's accused of being the "inside man" who enabled the kidnapping by leaking the where/when of the kid's travel schedule. Because yeah, it's unusual (and suspicious) that he made it out alive.
Of course, it's a setup. The antagonists have planted false clues that point to him. He has to find the real culprits to prove it wasn't him.
Rest of the story is danger and mystery and car chases and fights. I think the antagonist would turn out to be one of three people: the kid's dad (some kind of money laundering thing), another bodyguard at the firm (who seems like an ally at first), or the owner of that firm.
#writing#plot synopsis#this has probably been done before#i just don't know if i'd have the patience to do it justice#it needs a slow burn investigation imo#slow but tense#the other thing (which shouldn't be a thing but it is)#parts of it would come across as minor whump#and even though *i* know it's not the point of the story#i've been a part of the whump community for long enough that i instinctively shy away from that#could i write it with an older protectee? sure#but i'd really want to write the bodyguard as a substitute parent figure#like the kid has a distant relationship with his busy rich dad#while the bodyguard actually treats him like a person#so an older kid would change the dynamic enough that it wouldn't have quite the same impact

Books for the Hierophile
Similar to my fic recommendation list, the following is a list of books that might be of interest to any hierophile (Christian based hierophilia anyway). The majority of books here are erotica or romance (het, mlm, and wlw) and physical copies can be found at most major in-person and online book sellers, unless stated otherwise. The titles are listed in alphabetical order with a brief synopsis.
A Knight for the Runaway Nun (#2 in Convent Brides series) by Carol Townend - An evocative friends-to-lovers story set in Medieval France. From novice nun…To unexpected bride! Lady Bernadette is poised to take Holy Orders when Sir Hugo of Nérac, her father’s captain of the guards, arrives with news that her sister is expecting. Petrified of childbirth since her mother died, Bernadette races home. But now that she’s left the convent, her father wants her wed! There’s only one solution: marry Hugo, her childhood friend. But can she risk consummating their marriage and conceiving…even if his kisses are unbearably tempting?
Beautiful Sinner (stand-alone novel in Beautiful series) by Sara Cate - “Lord, help me…A beautiful, young American girl wound up stranded far from home on my doorstep. When she begged me to stay, I did what a good priest would do, and I said yes. But a good priest wouldn’t spend his days thinking about the fullness of her ruby red lips or feel the sting of envy with the way she draws men to her like flies to honey. A good priest would have stopped things before that first touch. And he certainly wouldn’t have given into temptation so easily, but when Cadence Thorn walked in, she brought me to my knees. A good priest takes his vows seriously. But I am not a good priest.” Only available in Kindle Edition.
Collared: The Story of a Sir and Her Priest by Melissa Cohen - "Collared: The Story of a Sir and Her Priest" is the true story of a real-life Master/slave relationship between Melissa, a dominant woman, and Joseph, a submissive man ... who happens to be a Roman Catholic Priest. It's the story of their forbidden love and the emotional depths they explore, all the while having to keep their relationship a complete secret. But as their love deepens and her ownership of him grows more real, Joseph is faced with the choice between honoring his commitment to God and leaving the priesthood for a chance at the freedom to love.
Dirty Priests and Preachers Gay Erotica Collection by T. J. Royalty - Men of the cloth – without the cloth! Priests exploring forbidden urges. Preachers committing unholy sin. These stories will have you on your knees and praying for mercy! Compilation and individual stories featured are only available in Kindle Edition.
Dancing Priest (#1 in Dancing Priest series) by Glynn Young - Michael Kent... A young man studying to become a priest finds love, and learns that faith can separate. A university cyclist seeking Olympic gold finds tragedy, death and heroism. A pastor thousands of miles from home seeks vocation and finds fatherhood. Sarah Hughes... A young woman living abroad finds love and loses family. A university student meets a faith she cannot accept. An artist finds faith and learns to paint with her soul. Dancing Priest is the story of Michael Kent and Sarah Hughes and a love, born, separated, and reborn, in faith and hope.
Everybody Calls my Father, Father: The Scandalous, Passionate Love Affair Between a Catholic Priest and a Broadway Actress by Tim “Dr. Hope” Andres - Everybody Calls my Father, Father is based on the true life love story of the author's parents. The character of a tenacious young woman, Bouvette Sherwood, who is a successful New York Broadway producer and actress, drives the plot. In the mid 1940s Bouvette meets and falls in love with a charming alcoholic, Hughie Hewitt. He has a secret though, which he keeps from her during their intense courtship-he is a Catholic priest! Their love story unfolds into a kaleidoscope of intrigue, suspense, betrayal, and romance.
La Faute de L'Abbé Mouret (The Sins of Father Mouret) by Émile Zola - Serge Mouret, is an obsessively devout priest, aspiring to perfect purity and sanctity. A serious illness leaves him with amnesia, and no longer knowing he is a priest, he falls in love with his nurse Albine. Together they roam an Eden-like garden called the "Paradou," seeking a forbidden tree, beneath whose boughs they make love. Anguish follows, as the abbe regains his memory and returns to the church. In this, the fifth novel in the Rougon-Macquart series, Zola concentrates on the conflict between church and nature; celibacy and sexuality. A film adaption called The Demise of Father Mouret, starring Francis Huster and Gillian Hills, was released in 1970.
In Love With a Priest by Damilola Babs - In Love With a Priest poses a question to us all; when God chooses to hold a man, does he ever let go? Find out in the story of Maya Alpha Lange. A story of love, hurt and God's true peace.
Keeping His Commandments by Elle Keating - Desire, lust, love…You’re not supposed to feel those things for a woman, and you’re definitely not allowed to act on them when you’re a Catholic priest. I had taken vows; vows that I’ve upheld for eight celibate years, and had made a promise to God that I swore I would never break. But then I met Eva, my stepmother’s estranged twenty-eight-year-old daughter, and she made me forget who I was. What I was.I prayed for guidance.I prayed for the strength not to give into temptation. My prayers went unanswered…or so I thought
Léon Morin, Prêtre (The Passionate Heart) by Béatrix Beck - In a small French town during the Occupation, Barny is a young, wayward, sexually frustrated widow, living with her little girl. She is also a communist militant who long ago decided that the easiest way was the best. One day she enters a church, randomly chooses a priest and starts criticizing the religion. But the priest is Leon Morin, who is young, handsome, clever and altruistic. He believes that any sin can be expunged by a good dose of faith, and does not offer her the reaction she was expecting. She is disturbed. She starts frequenting Morin, impressed by his moral strength, while he makes it his mission to steer her onto the right path. A film adaptation starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Emmanuelle Riva was released in 1961.
Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun by Gabriel de Guilleragues - The "Portuguese Letters" were published anonymously in 1669, alleged translations into French of letters written by a Portuguese nun to a French officer who had loved and left her. Recent scholarship suggests Guilleragues was their author. Reminiscent of the exchanges between Heloise and Abelard of an earlier time, the letters display a remarkable acuity of psychological insight into the mind of a woman in love and on the edge of hysteria.
Lesbian Nun Erotica: Forbidden Age Gap by Madeline Vey - A new student at an all girl's catholic school finds herself as the center of attention of her insatiable classmates. As the only... uncorrupted girl left on campus, she'll be forced to watch and tempted by the unspeakable acts committed by the other girls... until she's begging them to include her in their sin.
La Madre (The Woman and the Priest) by Grazia Deledda - The Woman and the Priest is the story of a struggle between a priest, his lover and his mother. It is an unusual book, both in its story and its setting in a remote Sardinian hill village, half civilized and superstitious.

The Sacred Sins of Father Black: A MM Forbidden Priest Romance by St. John Starling - Father Sebastian Black might be a saint, or he might be the Devil himself. With a spate of forged rare wines flooding the auction houses of the world, even communities as charming and innocuous as Father Black’s church are subject to scrutiny. Quentin Day is brilliant, charismatic, and, above all, dedicated to the truth — everything an FBI agent should be. In practice, all this does is force him to stand alone in a corrupt system. Sacrilege: A Forbidden Dark Romance Anthology - Corruption. Sin. Greed. Temptation. Nothing is sacred. Not the priest who looks at you with hunger etched into his rugged face. Sweetest Sins: A Lesbian Romance Novella by Aurora Lemaire - Lonely, free-spirited Lily dreams of becoming a nun. He'll teach me all the moves I need to make sure I'm a good little wife, willing and eager to please! Only available in Kindle Edition.
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough - The Thorn Birds is a chronicle of three generations of Clearys—an indomitable clan of ranchers carving lives from a beautiful, hard land while contending with the bitterness, frailty, and secrets that penetrate their family. It is a poignant love story, a powerful epic of struggle and sacrifice, a celebration of individuality and spirit. Most of all, it is the story of the Clearys' only daughter, Meggie, and the haunted priest, Father Ralph de Bricassart—and the intense joining of two hearts and souls over a lifetime, a relationship that dangerously oversteps sacred boundaries of ethics and dogma. A television mini series adapted from the novel starring Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward aired in 1983.
To Love a Priest by Victor S. E. MouBarack - When Father Ignatius’ past catches up with him there is no way to escape the consequences for him and those around him. He must face facts regardless of how seriously they could affect his vocation as a priest. “TO LOVE A PRIEST” is the most controversial book in the Father Ignatius series and deals with questions on many peoples’ mind as yet unresolved by the Church. A gripping story of conflict between conscience and dogma, treating a delicate subject with compassion and forgiveness.
TamIng Rebellion by Hanna T. Corner - Kayla is abrasive and rebellious, getting herself kicked out of college for starting fights and buying bikes, so she's sent to a nunnery in order to correct her behavior. But she wasn't expecting nun Marlee, who has a voracious and suppressed sexual appetite sets out to spank disobedient Kayla into submission. Only available in Kindle and eBook Editions.
Trilogy of the Poor Horny Nuns by C. P. Waterman - A collection of stories comprising A Poor Nun's Endowment, The Poor Nuns in Revolt, and Return to the Poor Nuns, previously published during 2013-2014. Set in England, 1348: Mary is a country girl with a tomboy streak. When she reaches adulthood and finds herself excluded from the company of the boys with whom she grew up, she rebels and her father consigns her to a convent. On the journey there, she is approached by an old crone and granted one wish; on an impulse, she makes a strange choice: she wants a penis, so she can be accepted in the young men's group. But fate consigns her to the priory, where Mary unwittingly falls under the spell of the evil Sister Benedicta, mistress of the novices; when Benedicta discovers Mary's anatomical transformation, she makes her her own private sex-pet and Mary finds herself installed as a hermitess, confined to a private cell... where only Benedicta can come and use her to fulfil her own sexual desires any time she wishes. The local priest is interested, too. Is there no escape? A chance visit by a face from her lost past - and the simultaneous arrival of the Great Pestilence (The Black Death) - offer her the opportunity she needs to get away. Will she grasp the moment with both hands? And what then, when the known world is turned upside down? Two more fantasies follow; on both occasions, Mary cannot resist returning to her friends to enjoy more intimacy at the convent. And, with her peculiar attribute, the nuns cannot resist her. And nor can the priests.... This (poorly titled) compilation edition is only available in Kindle and eBook Editions.
Unholy Desires by D. Williams - “As a spiritual leader of the community, I have been looked at for many things. Advice, guidance and sometimes just friendship. You meet a lot of different people in all stages of life while working for the Church but never have I met someone like her. The almost instant desire she stirs in me that I can not shake is unnerving. She tests my restraints, and I find myself forgetting my vows but, even worse, wanting to forsake them. It’s been said many times God only gives the hardest battles to his strongest soldiers, but this is one war I’m afraid I will lose. A Priest is only a man that can resist his unholy desires.”
The Village Priest (#3 in A St. Francis Hill Mystery series) by Tina Proffitt - Father Christian Hyman, a village priest in St. Francis Hill, South Carolina, loves Misty Sumner with all his heart, yet his dedication to his calling means that he cannot ever have her. Christian must discover what has happened to his dear friend, why she's afraid to leave her house and won't even look out the window that overlooks the steep valley beyond. Misty's life is unrecognizable to her since moving out of her house and into a cottage that sits at the edge of town overlooking the valley. When she learns of a nun's death, thrown from the high abbey wall into the very woods surrounding her home, many years ago, she must put her detective skills to work to assist the spirit that haunts her. Silas Baecere was a nineteenth-century village priest in St. Francis who loved Ada Gardiner very much, yet could not have her either. Memories of his life with Ada haunt him day and night. Her familiar scent lingers whenever he is alone in the house they once shared. Silas must come to grips with the kind of man he wants to be or lose Ada forever. Ada Gardiner, a nun whose loyalty to Father Silas knows no bounds, finds herself inextricably in love with him, which means disastrous consequences for them both. Her work as a scribe has taught her many things about magical, healing herbs, and the people of her village rely upon her for her medicinal wisdom. It also makes some fear her and want to hurt her. Ada must face her worst fear, being separated from her love.
Vows We Break by Serena Akeroyd - Vows. Savio lives by them. Dreams. I exist in them. Obsessed with a picture, I'm in Rome to get over writer’s block, but more importantly, I've come to the Eternal City to find someone. Savio is a broken soul. A French-Italian priest in the capital of the Catholic world, he preaches religious tenets he no longer believes in. He’s also the man I'm looking for. A priest who makes sinners pay. Who makes them burn for the temptations into which they fall. I exist to tempt him, my sole purpose is to save him, and my end goal is Savio—in my bed. My heart. My life. He's a fallen soul, desperately in need of a future that takes him away from the sinners who deserve to lose their lives for the evil they reap. Can I make him break his vows, make him fall to save both our souls before the Devil can embrace us both?
The Wayward Priest by William N. McKelvy - Falling overboard, almost drowned, an attractive girl goes under a personality change. Her memory gone, only her survival instinct left, she is taken to a priest's African missionary. Lilly wakes up night after night in her bed exhausted, blood on her mouth and gown. She begs the Father to lock her up at night. The two of them fall in love. She crashes in a plane, he thinks she is dead. He goes to Ireland, leaves the priesthood, falls in love, then, then tragedy strikes. He returns to Africa dreaming of Lilly until one day ...

PART ONE 🦞 PART TWO 🦞 PART THREE
Whewwww!! That was a long one. Very insightful deep dives back into the roots of Stranger Things theory. I've been so entrenched into celeb gossip and speculation and horny headcanons and fic writing that it's fun and useful to take a revisit to some show analysis. This was certainly a thorough venture.
Thoughts:
I don't know enough about It's Always Sunny for the references but if you do, enjoy!
It's always refreshing to see everything listed out - all the sexual references in the show. Sometimes I feel like, am I fixating too much on this subject? Is something wrong with me? But, no. It's a response to the lack of willingness to talk about this stuff in the greater fandom. It's just concentrated here as a reactionary decision. And it's interesting. This is only one aspect of the show - but it's important? As a part of life. And television. And the medium. Coming of age. 80s nostalgia. Supernatural mysteries, of which several are metaphors and allegories for growing up and identity and trauma and sexuality. Analytical discussion validates this.
A call back to the juxtaposed horror of Barb getting killed while Nancy loses her virginity would be a perfect full circle moment for Will and Mike having an intimate scene together. Their lovemaking or whatever the scene would entail would not be paired with something terrible, because we've reached a climatic point in the coming of age arc of the whole show. Nancy's was a loss of innocence, a step too quick perhaps into swiftly leaving childhood. Sleeping with Steve while her childhood best friend was dying. All the while, Will was in the Upside Down, thought to be dead, yet for a greater purpose, even younger than Nancy/Barb, and ultimately another representation of the loss of childhood. A lot of imagery with Will, too. Things forcibly taken. He and Mike - that's a choice. A positive. Down with love and culmination of breaking out of repression. Not having to leave childhood, but but forge forward on the natural progression because it's happening with your childhood best friend.
I'm not sure what would be going on simultaneously in the scene, but I like the acknowledgement of the cinematic inclusion of nature shots to represent intimacy and sex and orgasm, etc, when these elements aren't blatantly shown in some sort of sex scene. Could be onto something there. I've seen great theories and ideas involving Lover's Lake and gates and keys lately where this could play in (see Greenfiend's recent ideas! Shoutout!)
Liked the line in the first part "It's not possible to sexual something that's already sexual" which - absolutely. Agree or disagree, I personally agree. Like it or not - that's puberty.
I don't think I've ever addressed it, but I'm a big supporter of the one way sign theory. Some fans I think have grown weary of over-analysis and getting too caught up in the tiniest of mundane set details (every single instance of certain colors don't all hold meaning, counting ceiling tiles to prove time travel, the arbitrary and slightly slightly anachronistic inclusion of a very small background book or cassette a year too early, etc.) but the one way sign?? Hugely meaningful. Just wanted to acknowledge that.
"It is this tension between disgust and curiosity that allows shame to find its way into the coming of age of every human who has ever lived." 👏👏👏
I'm including this gift of a scene screenshot here because it's always worth looking at again. This sums it all up!! Come on!!
AND - I always forget this one. Hmmmm.
Love the symbolism mentioned I never fully correlated myself which is neat - the painting as a symbol of maturity as well. Color pencil drawings on notebook paper -> oil paintings on canvas. Their relationship as an evolution. "This fight felt more adult. Like one you can't come back from." Childhood, growing up. They can't really come back to the way things were post-painting gifting, van speech. Everything has changed about their dynamic now. "There is a huge sensuality in creating artwork for someone."
I feel like Mike taking the painting like that is the first step into the shifting of the tides. His hesitant acceptance of sexuality through symbolism. Coinciding with hosegate, of course.
Everything on this slide really. I never noticed the drill in the Jonathan / Argyle conversation. This show loves and adores a suggestive visual metaphor!!! So we can acknowledge all of those and not the hose? The HOSE is the most OBVIOUS one.
Actually, everything on this slide as well. Validates WHY someone who is also not a 15 year old finds this story so universally resonating. Cosigned.
"Lover's Lake exists in the show for a reason." - YES. I feel like Chekhov's scenic body of water has been underutilized. Sure, it was a gate in season 4, a hideout for Eddie, but otherwise has cropped up again and again. We've yet to utilize the Lover's namesake. I lean more towards Will and Mike having their consummate moment here more than anything else. Poignant. Thematic. Cinematic. All of the above. There's plenty of storyline opportunity for Will and Mike having to run, to hide, to seek refuge together somewhere. They're attached at the hip, they'll find and escape together somewhere. Cabin at Lover's Lake is where I'm placing my bets for any intimate scene together. "Moonlight on the water at the end of the world." Beautiful, truly.
Will and Mike have always been inevitable:
Closing thoughts and cosigned agreements that stand on their own:
❤️❤️❤️❤️
#asks#queued#Very long read and very long post here but it's a good synopsis of what most of the conversations around these parts are built around!!

I’ve seen those memes of like “Hannibal vs Hannibal if he had just asked Will on a date” with the second being much smaller
But god can you imagine if season one happened and they were dating, if he had asked Will out in the first one or two episodes? If he wasn’t doing those things to a client/friend but a romantic partner?
-Would it have changed his reaction to Bella and the cancer secret if he now had a romantic partner and that could keep such a secret from him?
-Hannibal’s reaction to Will being too busy for him because he’s going after the Chesapeake Ripper now that it’s not just a patient missing an appointment or a friend not staying to hang out but a romantic partner choosing something (technically also himself) over him?
-We saw how Hannibal reacted when it was possible Tobias killed Will Graham his friend, but if Tobias came in and insinuated he had just killed Will Graham his romantic partner? Hannibal realizing he actually values Will as a friend vs him realizing he values Will as a partner? The “I thought you were dead” scene?
-Hannibal telling Will his job will be the death of him and Will justifying it by saying he’s saving lives and Hannibal snapping back that he doesn’t care about their lives he cares about Will’s life? How much harder it would hit Will?
-Alana in the show saying she can’t be with Will while he’s in his current mental state while Hannibal uses that state to his advantage?
-The reveal that Will has had encephalitis and Hannibal has known and done nothing and is in fact allowing it to worsen? Basically making Will nothing more than a guinea pig and how much worse it is if they’re not just vague sorta friends but actively together?
-Will acknowledging he couldn’t be with Alana because of where he’s at mentally now being him using that on Hannibal and the way Hannibal would absolutely panic at the suggestion? The bad decisions he’d start making?
-Hannibal realizing Will is closing in on figuring out who he is and how this complicates him framing Will? Having to actually make a choice between his freedom and being able to possess Will?
-When Will thinks he killed Abigail and is in jail, he implies Alana is lucky they didn’t get together. What would he say to Hannibal? Would this be him breaking up with Hannibal for his own good? And Hannibal fucking losing it inside at the suggestion?
-Will realizing Hannibal is not only the killer but the person who framed him, the next level of betrayal that would come with that? The conversations between them as Will lets him know he knows and Hannibal tries to hide it?
-And then how it spills into season two, with how in the show Hannibal is trying to maintain a friendship only now he still wants to keep that defined romantic relationship with Will while Will is like “Are you crazy? Obviously this means we’re broken up” and Hannibal turning the “no we’re still friends” act into “No we’re still dating” and how sinister that is?
#long post#you’ve been warned#I started this at 1:30 am and it’s now 3:40#I read the synopsis of the first 20 episodes to remember things#nbc hannibal#will graham#hannigram#hannibal lecter

December 1st, 2024 - Motorcycle Jousting a Tyrant
It starts out normal, aside from the red smog in the air. It's Atlanta, though, the locals don't seemed concerned about it, so with a healthy dose of skepticism, she'll go about her day.
It starts with following Rebecca around, and hopefully turning her over to her actual protective detail now that it's easier for helicopters and such to land. It's an otherwise normal morning at the Westin for them at this point, waking up and heading straight for the coffee shop in the lobby for breakfast. Conversation about past experiences abound, Rebecca has quickly made her way up Helenas interesting people list. She's extremely knowledgeable about viruses, and explaining her own symptoms doesn't feel as alienating as it does when she's speaking to the actual doctors and scientists.
The conversation today is cut short when Billy Cohen finally enters the picture. A hulk of a man in his own right, she can just see the military experience oozing off him, but the way he cracks and flips a switch when Rebecca hugs him has her smiling.
"Oh, yeah, that's your beau."
She introduces herself, and finally hands Rebecca off into his care. He's already got CDC approval, she doesn't need to fight for it, it would have been an annoying endeavor for everyone involved if they started this process only for it to become unnecessary, so she's glad pieces are finally moving.
For now, she's off to spend the day with Ada- Who apparently had it out for her.
This day was anything but mundane, though.
Coming back was the start of a whole other ordeal, Hunnigans suddenly in her ear claiming there was an attack on the CDC, and a localized A-virus outbreak. As they're walking out of the bridal shop, she catches sight of the perpetrator speeding away on a motorcycle down the nearly empty city streets. The smogs gotten heavier, and she's quick to put her respirator on as they start walking fast toward the Westin once more. Leons already out and about, having bought a brand new motorcycle, and after handing the things bought off to Ada, she meets him outside the Westin and hops on the back of it, and they're off in the general direction she saw them flee.
Ada, gratefully, offered to be their eyes in the sky, grappling from building to building and helping them however she could with IRIS. Her assistance proved invaluable, as the smog on the ground made finding their way almost impossible. They managed to find the motorcycle, though, parked outside a water treatment facility that ran close to the CDC campus.
Leon pulls out a device from his pocket that explodes into some kind of silvery dust, coating both them and the bike in a powder that renders them invisible to the naked eye. She has zero idea where he's picked this up, but it's an interesting little toy, one she hopes he can possibly acquire more of.
Leon kills the engine and parks the bike a ways off from the treatment plant, forcing them both to walk closer, approaching and crouching in front of an open door, where the so called 'Dark Rider' they were chasing was standing amidst several giant pale humanoids in suits.
Tyrants of some kind, she figured. She'd soon be proven wrong though.
The girls talking with a man over a two way radio, complaining about a lack of payment for whatever she did at the CDC, the details of which were sparse, but she's sure Rebecca would tell her later.
The Dark Rider threatens to kill the mans 'goons' as she puts it as Leon gets up to cut the gas line on her bike. They all begin advancing on her with very clear intent to kill, and she manages to strike at one first, suddenly thrusting a clawed hand out as her nails extended like sharpened blades, piercing its skull and causing its head to explode into tentacles and gore.
Plagas. Great.
Leon acts before she can say anything, telling the kid to run before tossing a grenade into the room and doing significant damage- Enough to expose the parasite bodies, at least. The Dark Rider flees, and Helena chases after her in a desperate attempt to grab her and keep her from getting away again. She manages to grab her for a moment, despite how fast and agile she was, and holds her until she somehow slides out of her grip again, hopping on her bike and immediately taking off.
"Slippery little bitch- LEON! SHE'S BOLTING!"
Leon caps off the fight in the treatment plant with a flash grenade, destroying the Plagas and then running for the bike as Helena climbed on the back, and they're off again through the smog, Helena following the smell of gasoline leaking from the cut gas line.
She manages to lead them on a real wild goose chase, but Leons driving- despite Helenas constant fear- is more then enough to keep up with her, dodging around an overturned dumpster before she tried to ghost them in the fog. Thankfully, Ada was able to keep track of her for them, leading them to an overpass where she was stashing and grabbing a fresh bike.
They're off again, and the girl goes straight into traffic, but not before slashing into an oil tanker and leaving a truck crash in her wake. It's barely enough time to react, but Leon screams at her to hang on, and she knows exactly what's about to happen- The madman throws the bike onto its side and skids under the truck, somehow miraculously righting it and coming out the other side with both of them unscathed.
From there, they're leaping off the overpass and onto the back of a truck hauling lumber, yelling at the rider to pull over so they can talk- completely forgetting that the two of them are still VERY invisible, and it's actively freaking her out. No choice but to keep following her, they leap off the truck and weave through traffic to finally vault off a road under construction and onto a more open, abandoned piece of the freeway- a veritable racetrack for them to completely floor it and gain a lot of ground on her.
The invisibility finally fades as the girl leads them off the overpass again and onto some train tracks, where Leon immediately sees an opportunity to close the gap once and for all.
"I'm gonna do something stupid, trust me- Hang on."
"Alright, dumbass, do a flip."
And he does, doing a backflip off the overpass and onto the roof of a passing freight train, all the while Helenas screaming internally and squeezing him as tightly as she can- Which apparently irritated the worms enough that she felt them moving under his skin, causing her to immediately loosen her grip once they were righted again, making a loud noise of disgust before turning to the girl on the ground beside them.
"We don't want to hurt you!! Please! Pull over, we can talk about this!!"
Her pleading is fervent, and seems to finally strike a chord with the rider now that they were no longer invisible. She finally pulls over, and Leon Akira slides the bike to a stop after leaping off the train. Helena falls off the bike and onto her knees, gripping the earth and finally giving herself time to breathe.
They chat for a bit, discovering the girl was really just a teenager given tools far beyond her comprehension, the task to start a mass A-virus outbreak in Atlanta, and promised a large sum of money for the job to be carried out. Riley was her name, a mutant who seemed to be born presenting as a Tyrant. The claws and extreme speed and strength were the first clues, but seeing her out of the riding leathers with a plastic medical cover on her chest really sealed it- She was born with her heart exposed, and it was out of place enough that surgery would have done more harm then good.
She leads them to an abandoned storage unit where she had been living, and Helena immediately is thrown back to the early 2000's when her and Deborah were running from foster homes and living out of a hovel just like this. Riley was a lost kid that had fallen through the cracks- A young Black girl with supposed behavioral disorders and extreme aggression? Yeah, she was absolutely being overlooked, and Helena hated every bit of it.
Society was fucked, and honestly she understood Ahab in these moments more then ever.
She's lived this experience, and she wants nothing more then to help Riley out however she can.
Leon presents an Ultimatum- Riley follows them back to D.C., and Hunnigan finds her medical help and a place to use her abilities constructively, or he fakes her death, and takes her to stay with Bill- His friend that gave him the motorcycle.
The sigh of relief Helena gives when Riley chooses the former could shake worlds.
They help her pack what little she owns, and Helena offers to buy her whatever she needs on the way there. A new outfit, new bag, food, any medicines she might need, they spend a good bit stocking up and packing their own clothes and bags at the hotel and such to ship back home. They couldn't stay in Atlanta any longer, they needed to start driving home. The planes weren't reliable. and anymore time spent here would just be trouble.
Leon spends a moment saying goodbye to Ada while Helena ushers Riley out to the bikes again, packing their weapons and essentials in the saddlebags, and returning Rebeccas things to her before they finally start the long 8 hour drive back to D.C.
Helena would quickly make arrangements for Riley to stay in her home after arriving, until Hunnigan can get her a more permanent home. She wanted nothing more then to bring the girl under her care, being one of the only people that could easily match her physical strength and really speak from experience about most of her ordeals in life.
She didn't expect to come out of this with another dependent, but here she was... Maybe Atlanta was a blessing in disguise.
Regardless, she was finally home, only to suddenly have the fact that the UK was trying to pull out of NATO dropped on her head.
Pieces were moving, and Balfour was at the heart of it... but first, they had a head to chat with.
As above, so below.

Kara Thrace thought she was going to die after she flew headfirst into the storm. But instead, after her vision goes black, she wakes up in a Cylon ship and everything changes when she realizes why.
As she works on trying to return to Galactica she faces challenges, amongst the Cylons and within her own thoughts as she struggles with her morales and self image. Can she make it back to the life she’s always known, or will she have to totally start over, leaving everything she ever knew and cared about behind?

A teaser for a long fic that has part of it posted today and will be fully posted in chunks by the end of the month! I entered the @galactica-bigbang with this fic to help me finish it and I am so excited and glad to share it with y'all as this is my baby. I have been working on this fic since before I even finished the show back in February. So around a third of a year which is crazy to think. I had honestly been concerned I wasn't going to finish this in time but alas I am going to and I am glad because I love my artists work for this fic as well! It is beautiful and she did an amazing job.
I may go back through and edit this fic to make it flow better, etc. as I'm sure it's not as detailed or edited as I'd prefer but it is mostly finished and that's what matters. And that is a huge accomplishment for me as this will be the first long fic/story period that I have ever completed.
I have an awful habit of starting new projects and writing a little bit then starting another new project. Because of that I have never been able to finish a long fic or story. The closest I got was with a Wednesday fic that currently has around 33,000 words and 24 chapters posted. I hadn't meant to abandon that one as I had really wanted to finish it but I had lost inspiration after I got into BSG and even now still am unsure how I would even want to end that fic. But yeah, the fact that BSG is the first fandom where I have been able to complete a fic over 55k words says a lot. That's how much this show and these characters mean to me, especially Kara and especially Lee and Kara as a pair.
I am super proud of this fic and have enjoyed every second I spent writing it. It means a lot to me and I hope everyone who reads it will enjoy it as much as I have writing it. It's definitely a dark and depressing fic but it's worth it for the ending.
Every time I update it/add chapters I'll make a post here with the link so y'all can stay posted and have easy access! Also there you'll be able to read and check all the tags and author's notes as you'll definitely want to look over those before you start reading. While this fic is my baby and I would love for everyone who loves Kara or Kara and Lee as much as I do to read it, y'all's mental health always comes first so if the fic seems too depressing or dark for you that is totally okay and I understand. So please, I implore you to check tags, etc. first before you commit yourself to reading this, especially seeing as it's long.
Anyway, with all that said, I am so happy to finally share this with you all and I hope everyone who decides to take the time to read it enjoys it ❤️

Insomnia is letting up off and on, but I'm still super jelly brained from it case in point, I want to continue back with posting WIPs for the aired pages, but I can't remember what page I left off on now lmao (guess I'll have to dig through my blog to check... eesh. at least it's decently organized by tags?) Not a result of goo brain, really, but equally "AUGH" is that I let my screen protector go for too long without replacing it and now it's slick as snot and I don't have a replacement handy to put on it. This isn't a resulting consequence of goo brain but it does mean I'm going to be trying to draw without any traction while I'm already loopy. Good times ahead!
#shut up pu#I"ve had problems with insomnia my whole life so I'm sadly used to this#it comes and it goes#and right now it's in the middle of a big angry come#what do you mean that wording is atrocious??#it gets the point across#ordered a new screen for the draw slab so I've at least been proactive in fixing the problem#the only other problem is I hate drawing on brand new fresh screens too lol bad finger feel#only the middle screen is good for both fingies and pens#anyway the parts of chapter 3 I really love are coming up over the horizon#part of me does wish I would have tweaked the pacing of chapter 3 a little when realizing the usual posting schedule wasn't going to work#after real life delays all butted into production time bc chapter 3 was still paced for the 2 - 3 pages a week schedule#reading it all at once it still carries that pacing but I do feel a bit bad about the way it has felt at once a week#very occasionally twice lol#but I'm just a stickler for pacing so it bothers me personally probably more than it bothers literally anyone#knowing what it's meant to feel like on the proper release schedule vs. the slower release schedule is largely my own problem#and I'm feeling that extra hard right now because I'm having to do prep work for designing and asseting a new set#which saves a huge amount of time in the long run but slows things down in the immediate now#aka: I want to draw characters and story wahhh why am I making set pieces#also hey where the fuck's that stupid fox at he's even in the story synopsis write up where is he#get in the story proper you piece of shit#hello I am sleep deprived and rambling about comic production how are you doing

I woke up at 3am again and I'm not able to get back to sleep for the life of me 🙏🏼 SO!!! I have a proposal in mind hihi
how would we feel about an mha actor!au smau?? 🙋🏻♀️
"being a romance movie director meant you knew all about the clichés, plot twists, and narratives that could happen in them. you knew how to handle and execute them in films, so why were you clueless on what to do when anonymous love letters were constantly scattered around set and addressed to you?"
and yk all the stuff about "actor x actor relationships are a pain to manage by their pr teams, but what if it was an actor x director relationship?" OK???
if ever I do this, I think it'd be clear who the character I do this with will be hihi
#I'll probably hate that synopsis when I fall asleep and wake up to see this post later#but yk it shows the gist of what I'm thinking lmao#i really do have to stop waking up at the most ungodly hours#LIKE IT'S SO COLD IT'S BEEN RAINING ALL NIGHT I HATE THIS#though back to the smau#yes ik i have two ongoing ones already#and yes ik that i haven't updated jamais vu for so long now#BUT#hear me out on this plz lemme cook#okey anyway lmk what you guys think abt this plz and thanku<3#🖇️frans; [ yaps !! ]#probably going back to bed after i post this too so gn guys!!!#mha#mha x reader#mha smau#mha smau series#bnha#bnha x reader#bnha smau#bnha smau series

📖 its me again 😈 do u mayhaps have any more ideas,,,
Sure do!~ here's a few more!
1: (Untitled) A Red Son x Reader LMK arranged marriage/rivals to lovers where Princess Iron fan and DBK are unconfident in their son's ability to do anything right- including finding a spouse worthy of carrying on their great family line. so, they pick one for him. you are the finest soldier in the demon bull corps; smart, strong, capable- you have never failed an assignment, and that's not about to change anytime soon. they assign you to their son's side so that you can grow closer under the guise of you being his aid in attempting to retrieve the monkey king's staff- killing two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, you aren't exactly Red Son's biggest fan, finding his haughty attitude beyond irritating. this wasn't fair to either of you, like hell you would let it go forward. Since Iron fan and DBK hadn't told their son what they were up to or straight-up forced him to tie the knot with you, you guessed that they wanted him to choose you of his own free will- something you are certain would never happen. Your plan was to put everything you had into getting that staff back and absolutly nothing into getting red son to like you. Of course youll have to fake some sort of repour when prying eyes are watching otherwise the jig is up and your bosses will find out your disobeying orders. But it should be fine, your confident that you can manage. You can beat up one measely deleviery boy. You can tollerate Red son for as long as you need to. You can get him to cooperate with the neritive without clueing him in. You wont lose.
2:(Untitled) A Micheal Afton x OC FNAF. Ronnie moves in with her grandparents after getting kicked out of her old school for getting into a bad fight with the principals daughter. she hates it. she liked her old school and her old friends just fine, most of all she liked her old house. but she doesn't have must of a choice in the matter, her mom cant drop everything to drive her two hours every morning with her hospital jobs hours, so moving in with her grand parents who live within walking distance of her new school is the next best thing. her first night in town, she goes boarding and accidentally knocks some guy off a bike. they don't make a great first impression on each other, but they'll have to learn to get along as long as they're classmates. the more time they spend together, the more they begrudgingly realize they have in common. this leads to a lot of rivalry, fighting and an unrealized awkward tension between them. also, they meet right before Even/CC dies so... yeah :) angst. :)
3:(The Right Path) a Laard Nar x Navigator Invader Zim fic where Nav saves the massive from sailing into the Florpus at the last second by going against the Tallest's command. everyone lived! however, the tallest we not too pleased with his disobedience. so, they had him thrown in a holding cell and scheduled for a Pak wipe. of course, having literally been born to pilot the massive, he knew the ship like the back of his hand. he escaped to a random planet on a stolen voot cruiser. on that planet he wanders, until he comes upon Resisty HQ by complete coincidence.
BONUS! 4: (All Hail Queen Bee!) a Miraculous Ladybug Re-write/Fix-it where Chloe gets to keep the bee miraculous and her character development because I'm bitter & petty. i... i could give a run down about it but there's just so much and yet not nearly enough to talk about. if i tried, id just end up ranting, it honestly needs its own post but i just wanted to let ya know it exists in my brain.
#shit that 1st one was long sorry about that#so was the 2nd one but yeah...#i mostly just gave ya blurbs this time instead of short synopsis whoopsie!#i know from the last one you said that you weren't really in fnaf or iz but they're my biggest fandoms for fic and i was really proud of em#i did purposefully give you an LMK one first tho so i hope that makes up for it.#micheal afton#red son lmk#laard nar iz#lard nar#navigator iz#navigator#chloe bourgeois#chloe miraculous#micheal afton fnaf#mike afton#fnaf#five nights at freddy's#miraculous ladybug#invader zim#micheal afton x oc#laard nar x navigator#red son x reader#i still have more. not much more- but some more#i have adhd. my creative process never ends! even when i would prefer it too!#like fr dawg my brain be throwin' half raw fettichini at walls just waiting for sum to stick.#these all will (maybe get written) at some point! i dont like giving up im just slow i swear!#malice writing◉

Sup gamer
Saw ur bio, tell me about ur interests NOW
Oh god fuck I wasn't prepared for this
Pathologic 2 takes place in a small town on the steppe only referred to as the Town on the Gorkhon River, or simply "the town." The culture of the town is a fusion of 20th century technology and architecture with ancient steppe culture and traditions, which bring about customs that greatly affect the course of events in the town. Though the exact location and date are never mentioned, it is very heavily implied by character dialogue and environment clues that the game is set during the Russian Civil War.[6][7]
The world of Pathologic 2 leans heavily into the surreal, meta-commentary and symbolism, frequently making discerning what is fiction and what is "reality" difficult. The events in the town are framed as a play in the style of Bertolt Brecht's "epic theatre," where the player is an "actor" "playing the part" of the player character. The player's "reality" often comes into contact with this framing, with theater-like elements such as spotlights, "scene changes" between day and night and a disembodied stagehand-like voice appearing intermittently throughout the game. At certain points, such as during plays performed in the town's theater or after the player's death, the player encounters the mysterious and supernatural theater director Mark Immortell, who is often critical of the player's "acting" and frequently breaks the fourth wall, referring to the game's development, referencing the mechanics and inner workings of the game's systems and referencing events or aspects from the original Pathologic, both contextually and literally.[8]
The protagonist of the game is a surgeon named Artemy Burakh, also known as the Haruspex. The game begins at the end of a previous, seemingly failed run, on 'day 12' of the first Pathologic. The town is nearly empty, filled with bodies and the sounds of screaming. Artemy speaks to various characters and makes his way to the Cathedral, where he is able to speak to the mysterious theatre manager, Mark Immortell, and requests a 'second attempt'. This is granted, and time resets to the prologue of Artemy on a train, travelling to the Town. The player controls Artemy through a series of strange dreams and visions. Through dialogue with a character known as the 'Fellow Traveller', it is revealed that Artemy was born and raised in the town but has not been back in many years. His father, Isidor Burakh, is the local physician and a leading member of the Kin, the native inhabitants of the steppe. He sent Artemy to the capital as a teenager to gain an education in medicine, but has now requested that he return, stating that 'great difficulties' are coming.
Upon arriving in the town, Artemy is greeted by three locals who try to kill him. In a cutscene, he kills the attackers. Nearby strangers in plague doctor suits tell him that the locals suspect him of killing an important resident of the town and that the attack on him was an act of revenge. It is soon revealed that, in fact, two people have seemingly been murdered. The first is Simon Kain, a prominent leader of the town who had previously been assumed to be immortal; the second is Isidor.
Artemy is suspected of patricide and attacked by many of the townspeople, who have been driven to unusual violence. Young women are targeted in particular due to old steppe legends of a 'Shabnak-adyr', a creature with clay legs who brings death. A local gang of children known as the 'Soul-And-A-Halves' request Artemy's assistance with finding a boy who poisoned their dogs, while an old friend of his known as Bad Grief requests assistance with an injured local man. The leader of the town's economy and industry, a powerful man known as 'Fat Vlad', vouches for Artemy, and his innocence is restored.
At his father's funeral, Artemy discovers that his father died of a strange stab wound. He is urged to accept his father's legacy as a menkhu, a special caste of Kin folk with the right to cut open bodies. In doing so, he is given a list containing the names of seven local children, plus a strange steppe sigil that he is told means 'udurgh'. He learns that these are the children his father felt would be most important in 'rebuilding the town', and must be kept safe at all costs. Signs of an outbreak appear in the village, including a strange rot on the sides of buildings and a black cloud in his father's old bedroom. A plague known as 'Sand Pest' strikes the town, killing people within a day of infection and leaving the districts abandoned and rife with looters.
Artemy is required to perform daily tasks at the hospital in exchange for food and money, as food prices rise rapidly once the outbreak hits. It is revealed that the Sand Pest has hit the town once before, and Isidor managed to curb the outbreak by boarding up the infected district and leaving all those within to die. He encounters a young Herb Bride - a caste of Kin women who dance barefoot to encourage the growth of sacred herbs such as twyre - who seems to know him, and eventually tells him he is destined to kill her. Artemy is able to use his father's old equipment to create tinctures that increase immunity, and later use organs or blood to produce antibiotics and painkillers. He collects sacred blood from a crack in the ground in an ancient steppe village, and finds that this produces a panacea that cures Sand Pest; however, there is only enough blood for two doses.
An Inquisitor, Aglaya Lilich, arrives in the city. She has been sent to save the town at any cost, and Artemy is warned by others that Inquisitors are inherently manipulative and dangerous. He continues to search for larger amounts of sacred blood, eventually learning that the only way to get enough to stop the plague is to destroy a tower known as the Polyhedron. The mysterious 'udurgh' refers to the Earth itself, which is leaking out the sacred blood due to being repeatedly harmed and nearly killed by the Town's presence. Destroying the Polyhedron will produce enough of this blood to cure everyone, but kill the Earth in the process, causing many of the 'miracles' of the world - including many aspects of the Kin - to fade and die. It is up to the player which option they choose: either the tower is destroyed and the town is saved, or the tower remains in place and the Kin retake the Town.
