there are a lot of fun ways to spend a free saturday evening.

but being squeezed into a room with a bunch of drunk students, with music so loud you can barely think? not one of them.

you had been about to refuse your friend's suggestion to tag along, as you always do, before she had uttered the magic words. pepe will be there.

you were already planning outfits in your mind when the words left her mouth, suddenly feeling like no piece of clothing you own is enough to impress him. how could any piece of clothing ever be good enough for someone like him?

disappointment, though no surprise, fills you when your friend leaves you the second you enter the apartment of some guy in her physics class, to search for that other guy she's been crushing on for weeks now. so, here you are, in the living room belonging to some student you don't know, being pushed around by students you also don't know, with some song that you've never heard blasting from the speakers.

thankfully, even in a crowded apartment like this one, it isn't hard to find pepe. the sound of his sweet, intoxicating laughter can be heard from miles away.

he's sitting on a couch in the corner of the room, red solo cup in one hand and phone in the other. he's showing something on his phone to his best friend christian who's sitting next to him, his giggles sending a wave of relief through your body.

pepe's eyes light up when they meet yours, a sliver of surprise in his smile as you make your way over to him. he says your name like it's what he was made to do, like no other words have ever fallen from his lips. "i almost didn't believe your friend when she told me you'd join her tonight," he tells you. "i'm surprised."

"i'm full of surprises," you answer, tilting your head to the side slightly.

"of course you are. like that dress, very surprising." that statement isn't very surprising in itself; your friend, ever the fashionista, noticed your stress over your choice of outfit for the night instantly, lending you one of her favorite dresses with the words you'll look adorable, he won't be able to stay away. but the fact that pepe has noticed you enough to at least in some way collect an idea of the types of clothes you would and wouldn't wear is surprising to send a shiver down your spine. "you look great."

you can't control the redness that threatens to spread across your cheeks at that, but your gaze shifts to the ground to at least lessen some of your flusteredness. pepe doesn't miss the gentle smile that makes its way onto your lips, though. christian understands this as his cue to leave, jumping out of his seat and bolting away in just a second. pepe taps the now free spot on the couch, and you slip down next to him without another thought.

"did you get to the kitchen already?" he asks, gaze burning into the side of your face as you pretend like fixing the hem of your dress is something you actually need to do and not just a way to occupy yourself. "or do you want me to go get you something to drink?"

you shake your head, eyes flickering over to him again. "i'm alright for now, but thank you."

he nods over his cup, bringing it up to his lips to take a sip. the action has the muscles of his arm contracting and… has he always been this muscular, or is it just the light of the apartment? either way, he makes it look so casual – he probably doesn't know he's the object of your current mental assessment – as if the feeling of his jeans against your bare knee isn't distracting enough. "i'm glad you came," he says after he's lowered the cup. "the party was bound to be boring without you."

there it is again; that relief you felt earlier. a sliver of a confirmation that this thing that's been going on between you two these last few weeks isn't just one-sided. unless he's just toying with you, as you've heard certain men like to do, which doesn't exactly help soothe your worries.

but pepe isn't like that, you have to remind yourself. that's one of the reasons you fell for him in the first place; he's gentle in a way you can't credit a lot of men to being, like a mild breeze instead of a full-blown storm.

someone turns the music up even more, something you would've assumed was impossible a minute ago, as if to say you're thinking too much. fewer thoughts, please.

you take a deep breath, eyes meeting his. "i'm glad you're here, too."

"what?"

you let out a short laugh at the way his face contorts as he tries to hear what you're saying over the loud music. "i said," you start, voice growing louder. "i'm glad you're here, too."

pepe nods, though you're not sure if he actually understood or if he's just faking it, before saying something you have no chance of catching. you raise your eyebrows, tilting your head slightly and jokingly bringing a hand up to the back of your ear to hear him better. you did not expect him to lean forward, nor the warm huff of air that meets your ear when he speaks into it. "it's a little too loud, isn't it?"

you nod when he leans back to look at you, the corners of your lips tugging upward at the sight of his own smile. you shrug, trying to figure out a way to solve the issue; you came here to talk to him, not to just sit next to him all quietly because you can't hear each other. you gaze around the apartment, only to find a pair of speakers placed in about every corner of it, which brings back that disappointing feeling from when your friend left you just minutes ago.

but pepe has other plans. before you can interject, his hands find your hips and lift you up to straddle his thighs sideways. it's a swift motion, and he makes it seem like you weigh about five grams, leaving you pretty completely speechless. "i figured we'd hear each other better like this," he says, one hand reaching over to grab his cup again from where he must've placed it on a table nearby just moments ago, while his other hand stays planted on your hip. when you don't say anything, his eyes rake over your face, a hint of guilt in his expression. "sorry, is this okay?"

you take a deep breath, pushing the butterflies in your stomach away for just a moment and gathering the courage to nod. "yeah," you say, trying to sound as convincing as possible. "i just… wasn't expecting that."

the chuckle he lets out vibrates through your body, too. "well, get used to it." that damn smile of his appears again, the one you just can't stop yourself from mimicking. "i like having you close."

as his hand slips past your hip and around your waist, you allow yourself to lean into him a little, impressed by the way you find yourself enjoying your new seat very much.

mudwing headcanons

physical traits

another huge tribe; longer than ice wings, shorter, but very bulky and muscle-y (think alligator)

alligator is pretty much the keystone of my design for them, and also their design is probably the most canon compliant one i have (said moments before i go against this)

i do like the idea of giving them thicker tails, more adjacent to seawings than any other land dwelling tribe, and also just leaning into the swampy aspect of them more

depending on how aquatic of an environment they’re incubated in (and also depending on parent’s genetics) a mudwing can hatch with fins! it’s not entirely uncommon (fins smaller than seawing fins)

mudwings can have tail fins, fins running down their stomach, and their neck. this is distinct from seawings as mudwings never have fins running down their spine or fins on their limbs

mudwings have HUGE horns and ears to siphon heat away from their face

they also have a throat sac like icewings! they produce a variety of throat song, mostly akin to various frog sounds

also,,, tusks protruding from their lower jaw! (that i just realized i forgor to draw,,,,) this is used for foraging, and also agriculture (tilling soil, etc) which mudwings are particularly proficient in

mudwings also tend to have ecosystems growing from them,, algae and duckweed etc on their backs, necks, and tops of heads which helps camouflage them

speaking of camouflage,, colors,,,, well you know

mudwings only being brown is actually the most boring concept i've ever heard 😭so they’re not! brown is still the most common, green is also very common, muted reds, oranges, and yellows as accents float around as well

culture <3 (social structure)

okay i actually love the SCRAPS of culture content we have of the mudwings

so i guess i want to start out with family structure and community,,,

the whole “breeding night” is so fucking funny to me,,, and it’s staying. i will keep it. i think this can also coexist with courting and mating and committing to another dragon singularly, and maybe all mudwing communities just consist of really complicated polycules 

although parents aren’t always directly and singularly involved in the raising of their clutches, the adults still communally raise/look after the hatchlings, even if it’s somewhat from a distance

also, i think clutches know their parents and vice versa, even if there’s no special connection, you have to avoid incest somehow,,,,

so sib groups grow up together and rely on one another, like how it is in canon

if a bigwings egg is a “dud” and doesn’t hatch or is,,, abducted from the nest for the purpose of a false prophecy,,,, it’s actually really detrimental to the other eggs and can put them at risk to not hatch

clay’s sibs successfully hatching and growing up is,, a miracle im saying. the bigwings is the CRUX of everything. first to hatch, fastest to develop, grows the biggest, etc etc

i also think bigwings can produce fire at a slightly wider range of temperatures in order to keep their sibs warm if they’re ever under duress

on the topic of clutches and bigwings and,, everything

one egg clutches are considered crazy bad luck, and they need a lot of maintenance from an older dragon in order to actually hatch

if it’s feasible (like a clutch of a bigger size was laid on the same day) the single egg will be transplanted into that bigger clutch asap

also a similar feeling about 2 egg clutches, but it's not as bad

single and 2 egg clutches happen VERY frequently with hybrids, so often a hybrid will be in another sib group and all of their sibs go “yes they are us. oh they’re purple? they’re literally us what do you mean”

on the topic of hybrids, seawing and mudwing hybrids are insanely common, to the point where the majority of mudwings on that border are at least a liiiiitle bit seawing

there’s a lot of communal learning and passing down traditions in agriculture, farming, and animal rearing, and oftentimes a family farm is passed down from one sib group to another

(i don’t only make humble farmer mudwings though, there’s also a lot of artisans, scholars, the equivalent of dragon environmentalists, etc)

so moving away from family groups and stuff,,,,, onto wider society, let’s start with the royal family

mudwings pass the crown down from eldest daughter to eldest daughter, through a “royal” line

basically, one group of sibs has the crown, then the oldest/first clutch will be promised the crown, but it can very easily be abdicated and passed to a different clutch if the oldest clutch doesn’t want it or seems not fit to rule

there’s not a lot of competition for the crown because sib groups rule together, and the queen position really doesn’t mean anything, at most acting as a tiebreaker

obviously, sibs never fight sibs for the crown. that’s like speed running a revolution from the mudwing commoner population. but also, cousins don’t tend to fight either because of this strong wider communal feeling

fashion, jewelry,,

i think mudwings don’t have a lot of fashion/accessories because of how swampy and wet their environment is. royals will have jewels embedded into their scales (like moorhen) but even this requires somewhat regular cleaning to actually look,, pretty and shiny? so it’s not common

other jewelry consists of tight bands of wood and clay around horns, clay earrings, rings and armbands

clay jewelry is especially common! including clay beads that represents their sibs

clay fired earrings, strings of clay beads draped across the body, etc is commonly found

jobs! (and also a rant on cuisine apparently)

briefly touched on earlier, idk how much expanding i’ll do here tbh

farming is pretty common, crops including rice, cranberries, watercress, taro, water spinach, water chestnuts,,,, you get the point. there’s a lot of crops to be grown and mudwings grow them!

not in monocultures though, there’s a lot of mixing of crops on the same farmland

also with farmers, animals are raised! but closer to the less swampy edges of the kingdom

they’re still partially wild honestly, but mudwings rear cows and boars very commonly

so much of mudwing economy revolves around food, so they have a very robust cuisine, and they grow/trade for a lot of spices and herbs (with the skywings) and they have a lot of practices surrounding food/sharing of food being sacred

marriage!! i think when mudwings want to get married there’s a long string of cooking for one another!! back and forth making beautiful dishes for one another until they make a beautiful dish TOGETHER. god i love them

aside from farmers, a lot of mudwings are artists! they carve wood and make clay sculptures and jewelry as well as weave baskets and jewelry and thatched roofs from fronds and other wide-leafed plants

pottery is also common

tanners make leather from cow and boar hide, and bookbinders make books (after contact with pantala) and trade with sandwings for dried parchment

also butchers, cheesemakers (cows milk)

as well, the typical circle of scholars and nobles that keep rigorous records on the queendom’s history

and of course, royal diplomats

religions/superstitions

less superstitious than icewings perhaps,, but i do think they have some shared beliefs

perhaps just in a “mother earth” “all mother” type of concept? a dragon that gave them swamps, and then all other life came from swamps, etc

of course, the egg superstitions from earlier

there’s a lot of superstitions/outright magic about sharing food and the etiquette around sharing food

oh, one of you dropped your utensil while eating? in the future you’re going to save each other from mortal danger

someone gifting dishware is considered a proposal,, but it can be platonic or romantic

the monarch spilled their drink? the rainy season will be rainier this year

just a lot of really niche things

Feelings come whether or not we want them to. You can't stop how you feel, it just isn't possible. And that's how it is with your feelings for James.

You didn't plan on falling in love with James Potter. The handsome, funny, smart and a total heartthrob James. But most importantly James, your friend.

You've known James since the first year at Hogwards. It's been a wild ride ever since. You are really close to all of the boys actually. But the friendship with James has always been different in a way.

At first, you thought your crush on James was going to pass, but when it didn't go away quickly. You settled on coping with it, still hoping it would pass over time. But it didn't.

You were managing it pretty well, up until the point, when it got painstakingly worse. James started to show his interest into Lily, your best friend.

She was the only one, that you told about your silly and not so little crush, so of course she rejected every one of James's advances.

Even now, as you are walking down the hall, she is being asked on a date by him.

"Come on, Evans. Just one date, just one," he almost begs, emphasise on almost.

"No Potter, just stop asking already. I don't want to go on a date." She says and she quickly tugs you away from him.

You always feel bad, that she rejects him mainly because of you. You've told her multiple times, that you don't mind, but she is just as stubborn as James.

James isn't one to quit asking her out either. He doesn't understand why she keeps rejecting him, because before this, he thought, no he was certain, that she liked him back. He wouldn't have even asked her on a date in the first place, if he wasn't sure of it.

But just like that, Lily's feelings had dissappeared or maybe they hadn't been there at all.

His trying goes on for a bit longer, but suddenly, to your surprise, he stops asking. You didn't think there was a chance he'd quit, you were wrong.

He hasn't asked Lily out for weeks and you think that everything is normal. You even think there's a possibility of James liking you back.

But as it shows, something else has changed, too. Lily has started to act weird.

She spaces out a lot, lost in thoughts about god knows what. She also just randomly dissappears. You've asked her multiple times about this, she just always goes red and makes up some suspicious, but not completely unbelievable excuse.

But the reason why doesn't hit you right away. It's only when, she tells you this one excuse, you know, what's probably up.

She tells you the exact same excuse, you've heard only one person ever use, James. And at that time it was only you and James there, so she couldn't have heard it.

You try not to think too much of it. You think, you are definitely just overreacting. I mean, Lily is your best friend, she would have never done anything like this behind your back. Never.

Your thoughts  are driving you crazy, because you are so sure that it's not what you think it is, but on the other hand your mind is making you doubt it more and more every day.

So for the peace of mind you decide to find out. One night, when she sneaks out of the dorm, you go after  her.

You follow her through the halls, but not too close so she doesn't notice you. After a few minutes she stops at a window and looks at the night sky. For a moment you think, that that's why she is here, but you are so mistaken.

You hear a voice, not just any voice, it's his, it's James's. You can't believe what you are seeing, you still feel some denial about it, but when you see James kiss her, you know you were right.

You don't want or can spend another second watching them. You are ready to run away, when you back into a vase behind you and it falls on the ground, immediately drawing theirs attention to you.

"Who's there? Y/N?" You don't respond, you are out of there before they can say anything else with big tears running down your face.

Unfortunately, you don't realise they run after you until it's too late. James's hand clutches your wrist, " wait Y/N stop, let's just talk about this."

"T-talk? About what?" you ask, there's barely any anger in your voice, just pain.

"We're sorry-"

"Sorry for what?"

"I know that you like me and that seeing us together like this-" James starts and you interrupt him.

"You've told him?" you look more than hurt at Lily, "how could you..." you shake your head in betrayal.

"I don't even care about you being together. I've told you this, you knew this," you point at Lily. You cannot believe them right now.

"What I don't get is why you lied and sneaked behind my back. And not only once, you kept lying to my fucking face all the time."

Both of them are at loss for words. The even worse thing about all this, that you aren't even angry, only heartbroken.

"I didn't want to hurt you-" Lily starts, tears starting to form in her eyes, too.

"Well, you didn't do a good job. Because this lying hurt me more than the truth could ever have..." you sob, voice breaking.

"Please y/n, just let me explain," Lily reaches out for you, but you take a step back.

"Y/N, just hear us out. We were planning to tell you," James tries to explain, but honestly there's just no point anymore.

"When?" you scoff, "at your wedding?" you shake your head. If you ever want to be close to them again, you need to leave, because you are too hurt to actually solve anything.

"We-we...." James tries to find the right words, but comes out with nothing.

"I-I need to go, I can't do this right now. Hell, i don't know if i want to do this ever," you spin on your heel, before they can even blink and walk away with sobs shaking your body and your heart shattered into million pieces.

Jo!!! That Concert Bakugou post about him putting you on his shoulders, is making me feral!!! I have a concert at the end of March!!! That post is making me so much more excited for it!!!

It's Fall Out Boy for reference!! I've never seen Jimmy eat World live before so this show is going to be a blast! Also fun fact after this show in March, I need to see FOB one more time to make it 5 times I've seen them! I am sad that I didn't really start going to concerts till so late, my literal first concert, (that I went to without my parents lol,) was a FOB concert, it was a graduation present from my cousin, that show was Me, my cousin, my cousins best friend and the best friends sister, the sister and I graduated the same year, so that show was for me and her, I went for FOB and she went for Paramore lol. It was the FOB Monumentour. And I've been a concert addic ever since! In 2019 I went to 3 different shows within a few months of each other lol, that was a fantastic year for me! It was Marianas trench, then Set It Off and for my birthday I went and seen Skillet, all in 2019! And I want to see all of them again, I had so much fun!!! I actually want to go to a music festival at least once in my life, but that will happen when it happens!!!

Sorry about the rant, I ramble when I am excited and passionate about something lol!

Ahhh omg I hope you enjoy FOB and Jimmy! They’re both so so good live! I just love the whole concert vibe and just picturing being there with Bakugou? Dreamy sigh.

Like you can’t tell me him and Kiri wouldn’t be in the middle of the pit, making sure no one falls and like helping people crowdsurf or see better😭 and the thought of him with a protective arm around your waist or shoulders from behind as he places you in front of him so you have the best view. And sharing a drink with him that you hold onto while he goes off to mosh for the fast songs before returning back to you🥺

But also? Him not liking the same bands as you, but he goes to the concert for you. So he’s there watching you enjoy yourself to your favourite bands while he doesn’t recognise the setlist outside the couple of songs he’s heard you play at home. And he’s really just there to make sure you have a good time😭

My literal fave fave is scary guard dog privileges with Bakugou where he waits outside the toilets for you, or he takes your hand and walks you into the men’s cause the line is shorter and stands outside the cubicle door so no guys can dare say shit to you?

I’m going to two concerts next week too so I’m gonna be fully channeling my Bakugou thoughts while I’m there.

decided i'm going to start posting my thoughts on baldur's gate 3 every so often as i make my way through the game, because it'd be nice to have some of this stuff about first playthrough written down somewhere! my tav is a half-high elf bard named elenion (he/they) who's neutral good-aligned, and despite being a bard he's very reserved and is always feigning self-confidence. also, he's a college of lore bard who honestly would've fit the sage background pretty well but i went ahead and gave him entertainer instead lol. i guess that actually gives me the opportunity to see more of the inspiration goals by not having the same background as gale! anyway though, here's a few thoughts about what i've done while still being very early in act 1:

at the point i'm at in the story right now, i was supposed to go look for halsin, but instead i decided to finally find karlach. i feel like i probably should've gotten her sooner, but once i got to the grove i didn't wanna venture too far from the main objectives--and the grove is where you recruit wyll and learn about karlach in the first place.

however, halsin sounds very wise and capable so i guess he can handle himself while he waits, and the mindflayer tadpole symptoms aren't progressing like they're supposed to, so why not just go off and act like we've got all the time in the world! maybe elenion is just easily distracted. they did waste quite a bit of time earlier when they found alfira and felt compelled to help her finish her song. and speaking of, i was not expecting such a beautiful cutscene for that?! or for the squirrels we talked to using speak with animals to be so mean and hate her song 😭 but i hope we get to see alfira again and that nothing bad happens to her, and i hope i don't eventually regret saying that!

also, wyll did say karlach is a danger to the entire sword coast, which makes hunting her down sound pretty important... and elenion has an interest in history so they recognized the phrase "advocatus diaboli" and were able to mention the blood war when wyll first talked about her. so maybe they're also interested in seeing if they can get a devil who fought in the blood war and is now wandering the material plane to answer a few questions before taking her down. anyway, point is we're leaving the druids and our quest for a cure hanging to go hunt a devil.

took me a bit to find her despite wyll's quest leading you to her, though. i have a horrible sense of direction, which i guess is okay because my horrible sense of direction did lead me to accidentally find scratch and now we have a dog!

eventually i did get to karlach, and elenion's mind connected to hers and gave him a much closer look at who karlach is and what she's doing here than he expected. naturally he convinced wyll to stand down because karlach does not seem evil. and then he tried to ask karlach some of the questions he had in mind back at camp, but she won't reveal anything until we hunt down the paladins that are still hunting her. understandable, i guess. i like her though! i should try and make sure to get her earlier on my next playthrough.

encountered mizora for the first time when i rested at camp, and i'm very intrigued by what's going on with wyll and i actually have been since way before i played the game and found out he was a fabled hero who was also a warlock. which is why i also think it's a huge shame that from what i've heard at least, he was given a lot less content for his quest and his romance than the other companions were.

wandered around the world a bit more and ended up freeing a poor guy who was being spun around on a windmill by goblins. then i got the scene with gale where he teaches you how to channel the weave, and it not only had bard-specific dialogue options but also had an option that specifically reflected my character's proficiency in history, which was all really neat to see. god, there must be an insane amount of different dialogue branches in this game. love that there was also an option to be like "yeah that was neat, but i could've done it myself lol" since a bard is already a spellcaster.

the range of these particular dialogue options is killing me LMAO

i had high enough approval with gale to trigger a very obviously romantic scene and then the game is literally like "okay, so do you want to kiss him or do you want his severed head on a spike" 😭 like wtf do you THINK?! i can't even imagine how i'd roleplay a character who would be cruel enough to get this far and lead gale on so much before picking to project an image of his head on a spike directly into his mind. and yet i am so curious about what happens if you do--but not curious enough to reload and try to find out. mostly because i cannot bring myself to be mean to gale.

anyway, i picked the romantic walk option. i thought elenion would consider the kiss thing to be a bit too forward. but that was such a sweet scene and i love flustered gale gets when he realizes how you feel about him. going into this game i really thought i'd wanna try for astarion or shadowheart's romances first, and i do like them a lot and want to keep learning more about both of them, but gale surprised me with how much i already liked him from his introduction. he's just really charming and funny and also fits well with the character i made, so i will definitely keep progressing his romance.

aaand i've been progressing a bit slowly because of irl stuff but everything about this game is so good that i wish i'd picked it up sooner! i've been spoiled on quite a bit of things about the story already, but there's also a lot that i haven't been spoiled on and i can't wait to experience all of it anyway.

I have many OCs (kinda) (not really)! I'll only talk about Enstars first bc much to say about each of them so this is gonna be a loooong ramble already!! I apologize in advance for my possibly incoherent essay(s)

First up, Kiyoko!

She used to be a Yuguysona back when I was in the NijiEN rabbithole, but bc I was too attached to her design to toss/scrap him, I brought him into the Enstars Universe! Kiyoko was meant to stay as like- my self insert/persona in Enstars? But they eventually kinda deviated from that and became her own character!

Uhhh as you can see I've been running around she/he/they for Kiyoko, and that's because he's gender fluid! Why? Because I am a mess about my own gender and creating/tweaking Kiyoko was a way for me to explore that area. Now they're my gender goals + I am very down bad for her ✨

Just like my other soon-to-be-rambled-about OCs, this blueberry is a very tragic little creature - she has one or two problems from my life mixed in with the hundreds of problems from the Ensemble Stars Universe. Relatively nice family, once bullied, has a friend in a coma, swings between being compliant to being stubborn, overthinks and overworks, is a very tired child... Yeah! The usual~ A third year student in Yumenosaki, who sneaked in as a male in the first year with the help of some teachers, but now others knowing she's afab doesn't get him kicked out either so 👏👏👏 went solo for a while before the mess in the war, so they picked up a teammate/friend by being weirdly philosophical and whimsical on the roof of the school 👍! Kiyoko is very passionate about the idea of freedom thanks to The War in Enstars aksnksnskd

What's ironic about him is that she's the leader of a unit whose theme is "freedom", yet mentally she's as free as a dove in an undersized cage. Kiyoko keeps going on and on about how people need the freedom to choose (as long as it doesn't harm others) and yet never gives himself that freedom due to fear of making another mistake that would snowball into a devastating consequence (see: friend in coma).

Anyway! We have very similar fashion sense/styles, which is over-the-top-accessorizing! I have no explanation for this other than: I really like earrings and chains and chokers and rings and boots and shiny silver bits and looking good in general! We both really like singing too, just that I have stage fright despite performing on stage for 10years (school). Aaaaand we're both sleepy babies we can and will curl up anywhere on the grass floor cement ground and sleep 😴

All these lead to funny little scenarios between her and other characters, mostly when they randomly trip over him/catch her knocked out in the middle of hallways (all these scenarios happened in my head).

Oh one more thing! I suffer from being a Kiyoko fan bc I'm the only source of art for them but I have little to no motivation to draw 😭

Sunshine of Kiyoko's unit, Wing5! Formerly a solo idol who failed after debut, she was scouted out by New Di/Kiyoko/Tsumugi to be part of Wing5. She's a strong vocalist, often pairing with Kiyoko to take on the melody of their songs, hence the ship name "Songbirds" (That ship is like fan speculation? It's not entirely canon unless I want it to be)

In terms of appearance, Ai and I look the most similar thanks to our front bangs ✨ Her hair is all purple, she just dyed her side bangs to match her eyes! Also since every OC has a piece of their creator's soul, she has my extroverted side! She's a bumbling 20 year old or so - think "wine aunt" vibes!

Ai's actually very insecure though, due to her failure as a solo idol. She may be cheeky, but she's very sensitive to others' emotions and tries her best not to push them to the limit in case they decide to abandon her because of whatever antics she's up to, or because she's not good enough. Imposter syndrome too, maybe?

I think she needs to be babied more she's always taking care of others... Mom of Wing5™️ old

Next! Uhhhh what was her name... Yurika!!

Resident tryhard emo and chronically online child, her strength lies more in marketing, video editing etc. more than performing onstage! Despite being paired with Akari (who will be rambled about next) due to her dance, Yurika is more widely recognized as Wing5's rapper.

She's the shortest in Wing5! ++ An albino, which is why all Wing5 performances are usually done indoors/at night outdoors to prevent aggravating her condition (I opened so many tabs for this but I've forgotten so much I'm sorry if anything isn't accurate). Her left eye is also affected by... Something which the name I can't remember- it affects albinos and causes their vision to be blurry, even with glasses. Yurika just needs glasses in general bc she has been sitting in front of the PC for so long sknskdnd

Our similarities... Being online like 24/7? She has a worse sleep schedule than me though bwahahaa ✨ We both also melt. Like. Absolutely melt into nothingness whenever we're presented with affection. (At least I think I would...?)

Her ship with Akari is. Canon. I will not hear arguments I created them!! 🙉 They've been traveling/living together for a few years before Wing5, when Yurika was 15 and Akari was 18, bc their families are close friends and Yurika's family decided it was time to kick her out of her dark gloomy room to see the world with Akari, who was going around Japan to look for jobs as a dancer! When Akari landed a job, they had to continue travelling to follow the idol around on his/her concerts as a backup dancer, and Yurika stuck with Akari throughout the years until they landed in Wing5~ it's like the "omg they were roommates" situation! She's very prickly with everyone else aside from Akari, especially Kiyoko bc they have severely clashing opinions from time to time lmao

Bonus: She uses her name as a pun for "Eureka" so it sounds like "this is an Eureka moment!" but it practically means 'this is Yurika's moment!'

I never thought I'd say so much about Yurika but I will speak more about her in the next ramble about her wife girlfriend, Akari!

Heads up, Akari's transfem! She transitioned before + during her travels with Yurika, but doesn't feel completely female? An imbalanced in-between, like a tomboyish girl! And that's why she's the tallest in Wing5, bc hormones- By male standards, she's softer and more feminine, but by female standards she's a little too masculine. Gender who?

Tragically, she doesn't have a family other than her little brother (to be rambled about next), whom she is very protective about. She was taken care of by Yurika's family until 15 when she moved to school dorms while her brother remained with Yurika's family, then after graduation she came back to bring Yurika around Japan at her family's request.

They do return Yurika's feelings towards them, though Akari needed time to sort her own emotions out after Yurika's confession because they had never really thought of having a partner? Akari just felt comfortable and safe and at home with Yurika, that's all. So yeah they were disaster gays at some point before officially starting their relationship as lovers!

Akari is really hostile towards Kiyoko, though she displays it mostly in a passive-aggressive way. Why? Bc they blame Kiyoko for what happened to her little brother 😔 Will be explained soon!

Akari's name used to be Akira! This is a coincidence that it happens to be the Enstars story writer's name, I didn't know until a while after creating Akari 😅

I have this same opinion about Board Girls, that there should be an actual trans character, kid or adult, to bounce off the fake trans characters, Eric and Heather, but Wendy in this ep was pretty close, I'd like to see Wendyl return as a character.

Maybe like a 4/5. Pretty good, pretty solid. Controversial take but I like the serialisation, it's just that they aren't the best written bc it seems like they forget the story halfway through the season lol, but season 18 is super good.

Fav Christmas gift? Hmmmm....When I was in high school, I asked my dad for tix to go to Ireland with my mom. (They're divorced.) My mom's from there originally, but hadn't been back in over 20 years at the time, so it was one of those "this is for me, but it's really for us" gifts. I got to a bunch of stuff with her and meet some of her oldest friends that I'd always heard stories about, but never really had faces to go with names. It was super nice.

Fav Christmas carol? Does "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" count???? (That song is so outrageous and over the top AND I LOVE IT!!!) If we're going more traditional though, I will belt "Hark the Herald Angels Sing!" every time I hear it. Guaranteed.

Fav Christmas drink & treat? Hmmmmm.....that's hard. I'm not entirely sure I have one to be honest. I've been a tea drinker my whole life, but I'm not sure I'd necessarily consider it a special "Christmas" drink, even though it's the only thing coming to mind right now. lol. As for treat, it's been a hot minute, but my Nana used to make me a tin full of homemade apple hand pies. She came of age in the 1930s, so she was one of those old school bakers that made her crusts from scratch and still used actual lard. 🤤🤤🤤 I would pretty much devour the entire tin of pies before I even left her apartment on Christmas. Unfortunately, my mom is not a baker and she never got the recipe from my Nana before she died (despite me asking her repeatedly--not that I'm salty about it...lol), so I haven't been able to have them in over 20 years. 😭😭😭

Christmas wake-up call? Way too damn early, that's for sure. lol. To be fair though, I have 2 small humans, so I'm still in the stage where they're waking up at the ass crack of dawn on Christmas Day while my husband and I blearily try to convince them to at least go back to bed until after sunrise before they go looking for what Santa left them. lol

Even though he had no great love of Faye, Fez knew even he would be hard pressed not to send Custer through their glass storefront window.)

“And this is somehow my affair because…?” Fez asked in that same bored tone, hoping to speed up this discussion.

“Right, right,” Custer chuckled. “Straight to the point. Always liked that about you, Fez. Always liked that about you.” He took the poorly gnawed beef jerky out of his mouth and waved it haphazardly in the air like a school marm’s pointer. “See, you and I have business, right? And as business partners in a common enterprise, I thought to myself, who would be in a position to help me resolve Faye’s little…misstep with these good folks? Fez!”

“Ain’t loaning you money, Custer,” Fez said with a sharpness that was all Kitty O’Neill.

So, as you are Jungkook-biased too, I want to know if you notice this too. Jungkook doesn't seem to be really close to Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jin offcam? That's why his interaction with them that we see and watch on stage and oncam seems too force and is hard to watch? Especially on Jungkook's part, he seems to be forcing himself on them? In his relationship with Namjoon, both of them just kept repeating what they say and compliment to each other. Ex. Jungkook will say that his inspiration is Namjoon, then Namjoon will say that without Jungkook, there is no BTS. I'm really fed up with this. I haven't been watching any of the PTD stuff because I dislike the song and the bits I saw of the first PTD concert that was livestreamed was rough and unpolished and not my jam. That being said, I'm hoping it's all going well for them.

Considering the above, I can't comment on their most recent dynamics because all I have seen is bits and pieces from VLives. Do I think JK is "forcing it" with some? Well, no but only because he never bothers to force anything really. From what I've seen, he can't hide his reactions and tends to say what he really thinks whether he should or not (lol, me too, me too). Like, take the whole boxing thing. He proclaims that "yay Jimin is now boxing so I have a partner" yet Tae was all, "what about me? you taught me?" and he was like nah dog. He legit just shut him down saying it wasn't like that. Okeeee. JK just does his thing.

One of my classic gripes about the group is that they repeat the same sentiments ad nauseam. What you mention about NJ is part of this; "there's no BTS without JK" or "NJ was my inspiration" -- yes, we've all heard this 1 million times and we'll probably hear it till the end of days unless BH/Hybe rewrites their talking points. I stopped reading and watching their interviews during Butter era because, legit, it was the SAME talking points over and over again. One of BH/Hybe's most brilliant media strategies is teaching the guys how to talk without saying anything. It's perfect for personal questions, but when it comes to art/their work, it doesn't work. If you don't believe this is happening, read a couple BTS interviews then read a couple SHINee ones.

So I don't necessarily think JK is faking it with Jin or RM or anyone. I think he's behaving how he's been trained. Don't go off script etc. Do I think the entire group is as close as their brand tries to make consumers think? No, not at all.
