I love the idea of Rolan getting flustered if called out--his tail lashing this way and that, and I also love the thought of him preening while Cal and Lia stage whisper from afar, "He's using magic, right?" "You know he is."

AND, as reluctant as he is to admit it, I also think a part of him would be delighted (though this is hidden behind complaining) if his partner picked him up.
