hiiiii mae!! hope ur having a good day/night, i was wondering if you would do a emt!marauders (or just remus) fic with a reader who maybe has past medical trauma or something so she really hates going to the doctors and avoids unplanned visits at all costs and one day she gets hurt doing something and she tells herself she’s fine but she’s really not (maybe she has like a concussion or something) and she tries to tell the boys she’s okay and she doesn’t need to go to the hospital but they’re like “yes you do u literally don’t know what day it is” and she kinda starts freaking out and they comfort her????
so sorry if you’ve done something like this you’ve written a LOT of fics (which is amazing i love them all) and i haven’t gotten the chance to read them all yet! anyways hope you have a great day i love ur fics so much!!!!!!
Thank you for your request, love you <3
cw: concussion, hospital mention, implied medical fear/past trauma
emt!marauders x fem!reader ♡ 770 words
“This is supposed to be the sort of thing that only happens to old ladies,” Sirius mutters. “Look at James, dollface.”
James’ smile is encouraging. “He knows he’s full of shit. We see people fall in showers all the time, it’s not an age thing. You don’t have to be geriatric for soap to be slippery.”
You know, distantly, that they’re both trying to keep things light for your benefit, but their playacting isn’t helping you. You feel trapped, backed into a corner, and your lovely boyfriends who only want the best for you feel like your captors.
Sirius clicks off the light he was shining in your eyes just as Remus comes back with your clothes. They exchange a look you don’t like.
“Here, sweetheart, put this on.” Remus helps you get a sweatshirt over your head, extra careful to hold the collar away from the aching bump on the back of your head.
You stand from the bed bemusedly as he starts putting your sweatpants on for you, too. You don’t love the vibe of all this coddling, either; the boys are usually only this delicate with you when they’re very concerned, very pitying, or both.
“What’s going on?” you ask, though you already know. It’s not as if you would usually hang about in your towel all night after a shower, but they’re getting you dressed for a reason.
James’ brows twitch together sympathetically. Sirius’ voice is gentle. “Baby, we need to go get your head looked at.”
Your upset blooms fast and hot, tears choking you. “Why?”
“You have a concussion, sweet girl. It seems fairly bad already, and it could get worse.”
“But you’re…you always say hospitals can’t even do anything for those.” You know you sound childish, whiny and difficult, but you can’t help yourself. Your boyfriends don’t seem to hold it against you. James rubs your arm while Remus pulls your socks on with sweet, lingering touches. A tear squeezes out of your eye. “Why do I have to go?”
“You’re right, there’s not much they can do,” says Remus. His voice is calm and even, a balm to your frazzled nerves. “But a concussion can be dangerous, and without tests we won’t know how dangerous it is or if there’s anything they can help with.”
“That’s all we’re going for, angel,” James says lightly. “Just some tests. It won’t take terribly long, and we can stay with you most of the time.”
You’re hardly hearing him, shaking your head despite the way it aches. More tears crest your cheeks, your breaths wet and quick. “Can’t we wait and go tomorrow?”
“Oh, sweetheart.” James takes your hand, squeezing your fingers. “We can’t, my love, but it’s going to be okay.”
“I really can’t.” You pull your hand from his, wiping underneath your eyes. Your hair is still wet from the shower, cold seeping into your fresh sweatshirt. “I can’t do it. Please don’t make me.” Your voice chokes into a quiet squeak on the last few words.
Remus coos and sits beside you on the bed, wrapping you up in a hug. You cry into his shoulder as he rocks you gently, murmuring against the side of your head. “Please,” you try again.
He holds you closer. “I know, darling.” His voice is a low whisper. “I know it’s hard for you, and I know it’s scary, but we’ll be there with you. It’s not going to be as bad as you’re thinking. What we’re going for is really very simple, and Sirius can explain it to you on the way, hm? You’ll be alright.”
When you calm some, he goes to warm the car, passing you off to Sirius and James to get your shoes on.
“Nothing’s gonna happen to you, baby,” Sirius promises, kissing the shell of your ear as he walks you outside. His arm is heavy around your shoulders and James is quick to take your hand after locking the door behind you, bolstering you for what’s ahead. “You think we’re gonna let you get hurt? This is going to be the easiest hospital visit you ever had. We run this place, they’ll have us in and out.”
“I wouldn’t say we run it,” Remus says drily as you three pile into the backseat. “More like we engage with it, in twelve hour shifts, four to five times a week.”
“But we do have lots of friends,” James chips in.
“Exactly.” Sirius busies himself with wiping the last of your tears while James gets your seatbelt on. “Like the radiographer at Bellevue. You’ll see, baby. We’ve got you covered.”

Last two shifts I worked, I had the same patients but was precepting (training) different nurses. So two nights in a row, I have a patient with a post-op complication (guts not moving) that the surgeons are taking a conservative approach to (wait and see if the gut starts moving). This treatment plan makes sense for the specifics of this patient, but that means we’re doing a lot of symptom management without directly treating the thing that’s causing the symptoms. In this case, symptoms are pain and nausea so bad that the patient said if they’d known this is how they’d feel after, they’d have skipped the surgery and just rolled the dice with what that colon polyp would do if left alone.
So we’re throwing meds at this patient, we’re walking them so their bowels can get moving, we’re giving ice chips and gum and cold wash clothes, we’re giving IV fluids (which is SUPER rare in the hospital right now because due to one of the recent hurricanes, we are critically low on IV fluids), we’re doing basically all my tricks short of putting another tube in this guy. And it’s working okay. Like we’re keeping pain and nausea just below “intolerable” but not by much.
That first night I have that patient, while I’m talking to the surgeon on the phone, my preceptee is in the room talking to the patient. I don’t get any new orders because most usual meds that would help are contraindicated in this particular circumstance. I’m feeling frustrated about that—I HATE when I can’t get symptoms significantly under control—when my preceptee comes up excitedly and says that the patient says they’re feeling much better after the therapeutic intervention my preceptor did. The intervention was hanging out in the room for 15 mins and talking with the patient about their hometown in Canada.
(Which, hell yeah. Very proud of that new nurse because she said one of the biggest things she wanted to work on was being less nervous talking to patients.)
Next night, I got the same patient, still miserable, and a new preceptee. We’ve got more meds this time, but still only marginal success with managing symptoms. I tell my preceptee, “next time you’re in the room, plan on staying and chatting with the patient for like ten minutes.” Next time we’re in the room, we do just that—we talk sports, hobbies, plans, past surgeries, how much this surgery sucks, just the three of us shooting the shit for a while before we have to go give pain meds to another patient. (It was a surgical floor. That night was mostly handing out ice packs and oxy.)
Anyway, the patient tells us that this chat has been the best they’ve felt all night. My preceptee comes out of the room, and my preceptee is like “wow that really was our best intervention.” And I get to be like “yes witness the power of chit chat as nursing intervention.”
Reflecting back, I’m grateful that the patient was so expressive about what we did that was working. I told the patient at one point, in the midst of their most acute misery, that we were going to give them everything we had available, and if that didn’t work, I had backup plans in mind. Like you might spend the night miserable, but it’s not because we didn’t keep trying stuff. And after I say that, the patient goes, “that was good, I like that you said that, that comforted me.” Which was very nice and convenient because before we’d gone into the room, I’d talked to my preceptee about how to make patients feel supported and cared for, even when none of the care we do is working. When we left after that, my preceptee was like “wow, you’re right, that really worked,” and I was like, “I KNOW, that’s cool right? I mean you always hope it works, but sometimes you just can’t tell if it actually does.”
I love really open patients, they are such fantastic teaching opportunities. For example, I had another patient both night who was also very open, specifically about what a bad job the hospital was doing and how everyone should just stay the hell out of their room. Considerably less pleasant feedback, equally valuable, about essentially the exact same situation that the first patient was in. Talking through that patient with my preceptees was also very useful and very easy, because the patient had been so explicit in their feedback.
It’s always odd training nurses because you don’t want bad things to happen to your patients, but you also need to new nurses to see bad things. And sometimes you get a patient assignment that is so good for teaching, it’s like it came from a textbook. Very convenient for me personally as a preceptor. Feels weird to say that about patients who are having absolutely miserable times, that their misery is useful to me, but (as preceptors normally say about stuff like this) if it’s happening, at least it’s happening where we can learn about it. Anyway, great couple of shifts to practice therapeutic communication.

completely random question, but what are evelyn’s sisters like? e.g. their relationship to evelyn, possible dynamic with caleb, personalities, etc…
i really enjoy the way you flesh out evelyn and caleb, giving them backstories and families of their own. they’re all so compelling!
THE CLAWTHORNE SISTERS:
Wendy is conflicted between resentment and love. While Evelyn has always looked up to Wendy and admired her.
Bronwen moved out when Evelyn was still little, and with Ev having trouble getting friends, she was often shoehorned into hanging out with Wendy. Which Wendy hated. Wendy sought refuge with friends outside the home, and always being told to bring Evelyn only fuelled the annoyance.
Evelyn has always been an easy target for both bullying and being taken advantaged of. And Wendy has always stood up for her, and also shoved her out of her room.
Bronwen is a mediator between the sisters. When she was recently moved out (with then boyfriend, now husband) she was still visiting a lot to look after her sister's wellbeing.
Their mother plays favourite with Evelyn, which neglects the sisters in different ways.
- Evelyn gets put under too much pressure and can't say no, and thinks her purpose in life is to always be helpful: even at the loss of herself.
- Wendy gets put at the wayside, treated as Evelyn's chaperone and not somebody who has her own life or schedule. She's often told that "for the family" she has to drop everything, for Evelyn. She wouldn't hate doing it, if it wasn't forced.
- Bronwen and her parents never saw eye-to-eye. She has always been a rebel that questioned the way they did things. If she didn't want to do it like that, she wouldn't! And it was the cause of many fights. Bronwen rejected the pressures of becoming "important" early on.
Unfortunately, her fighting spirit only made Wendy not want to fight. She didn't like all the arguing, and instead opted to be compliant. Which only gave her a lack of autonomy in the end. While Evelyn never learned to choose herself at all.
Bronwen has a bunch of kids that becomes the founding seeds of the Clawthorne clan (alongside Evelyn & Caleb's kid, but they're a different branch of the clan.)
CALEB:
At first, the Clawthornes thought Caleb was a magic-less witch by the name Jasper Bloodwilliams. He was wearing a hat that covered his ears when he first visited the realm.
He made up the cover story on a whim that he and Evelyn bumped into each other as researchers in the human realm. That he, too, was interested in humans because (as Evelyn's reason also were) "Humans don't have magic and get by just fine!"
Wendy has never met another half-witch before, and is both happy and a little upset that this is Evelyn's friend. (she's a lesbian guys, don't worry, no triangle drama here.)
Once she finds out he's a human, though, she's upset at Evelyn. She thinks the reason Evelyn "researches magic-less solution" is because she's trying to find a consolation price for Wendy.
Caleb mends the bridge between the sisters by telling Wendy about what Evelyn has been up to in the human-realm. They have a heart-to-heart, bonding over being older siblings who have to give something up for the younger ones.
Bronwen and Caleb have a meaningful conversation about moving away from people you love. Choosing himself, choosing to let go of the past, that sort of thing.
Caleb, via the Clawthorne's, grows increasingly more self-aware of his situation with Philip and how it's not a very healthy one. Mainly on his part. And tries to figure out what he can do.

oh boy tw for family trauma 🫠
yeah no that's. damn.
my dad only ever hit me once, and he probably doesn't remember it, but i do. i never told anyone because i didn't want him to get in trouble — he was always the parent who was less of a threat.
that's the only physical thing that ever happened (thank god) but there was a lot of other shit and moving away to uni really helped me realize that.
my mom would sit on my bed behind me while i worked on homework and shout at me if it seemed like i was falling asleep. she would keep me up until 1am some nights, and when she was tired and angry in the morning she would tell everyone it was my fault no matter how much i tried to say that i wanted her to just go to bed, that i didn't want to keep her up, that i was tired too... that started at the beginning 9th grade (during quarantine) and lasted until the beginning of 11th.
before that, in middle school (i was 12) when i first got a phone, she told me one of the expectations was that i would give her the password and let her go through it. i did give her the password, but even at that age i didn't really trust her, so i used another app to put a second password on my home screen. if you put it in wrong it took a photo of you and emailed it to me.
a few weeks later she told me she wanted to go through it, and i told her that was fine, but because it was past my bedtime she wouldn't let me stay up and sit with her while she did. i asked if we could do it in the morning so that we could go through it together, and she said that was fine. guess who woke up to an enraged mother and an email with a picture of her face in the morning...
i brought that one up in therapy four years later in response to her telling the therapist she didn't know why i didn't trust her, and she interrupted me to say, and i quote, "that was so long ago that it doesn't matter anymore." she then turned to the therapist to tell her about how when i was in middle school i wouldn't let her go through my phone "to make sure i was safe", and that that was evidence that the trust issues were my fault. the therapist just looked at me like 😬 and quickly moved on to the next topic. my mom now refuses to acknowledge that she ever said that.
in high school my parents always kinda treated me like a toddler. i wasn't allowed to leave the house unless it was with them because they didn't trust public transportation and our neighborhood wasn't safe to walk out of (giant road all around the perimeter). i didn't get to take a bus until i was 16, and that was only to the mall a few minutes from my house. it took until i was 17 to be able to actually go and hang out with my friends without her supervision or that of another parent who she would expect updates from.
now that im in uni living on my own, she takes every opportunity she can to berate me about my ability to take care of myself. ive been living alone for three months now and have been perfectly fine, doing what i can to get decent nutrition on a college campus that makes it somewhat difficult, and she argued with me about whether it was "responsible" to get a hamburger when she brought me to shake shack while was home to visit for a weekend. "you probably only eat stuff like this, anyways, order something healthy!"
and honestly, speaking of that trip, y'know what really showed me how much less stress i've been under in uni? having a nice brunch at a fancy-ish restaurant that we used to go to with my grandparents when i was little and being low-key appalled when my parents parents started having a not-so-quiet back and forth in which my mom was saying "oh you just think everything i say is wrong, just tell everyone that, be honest, this is ridiculous" over the fact that my dad had asked "hey just to make sure we did mean to get two orders of potatoes, right? just want to check before the server comes back in case that's too much."
those arguments were normal to me a few months ago. and they wonder why i don't tell them things...
(also for context, it's one of those places where two or three small plates is enough for one person and you share stuff, so he was counting up what we were planning to order to make sure we got the right amount — the answer was yes, everyone in the family loves those potatoes, and the second my brother said that my dad was like "oh cool okay, anyways-" before being cut off again by my mom going nuclear over being interrupted by my brother)
and also, final footnote before i post this, there is so much more. this is like. not the worst of my childhood. plus im not including anything from before i was like 12 because i don't remember any of it besides a couple snippets, so there's that...

Can I request a poly!marauders x reader where she gets a new piercing. And then like how the guys react to it like if they accidentally touch it and hurt her or helping clean it and stuff! Thx xx
tender care
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪 summary: getting a new piercing and your boyfriends become overly cautious around it (poly!marauders x fem!reader)
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪 warnings: fluff mainly, piercing isn’t specified but it’s visible on eye level (if this makes sense), the boys being surprised by the piercing at first but they get over it, someone elbows the piercing in their sleep, one to one convo with sirius, sirius calls remus a ‘restless bugger’ once, pretty sure that’s it??, lmk if i missed any
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪 word count: 657
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪 a/n: sorry it took me so long to get to this (first post after kinktober too, so hope it’s a good comeback)

you’d gotten a new piercing over the holidays, forgetting to mention it in the letters you’d sent your boyfriends before they came over to yours to stay.
Sirius and Remus arrived at the same time, while James was late. the three of you were hanging out in your room until the door opened, revealing James holding his bag.
“starting without me?”
he teased like he always did, standing from between both other boys to give James a kiss on the cheek.
and that’s when he seen it.
your new piercing.
“wait, when’d you get that?”
his question had Remus and Sirius’ ears perking up before they were leaping out of bed to re-examine your appearance, eyes landing on the piercing before giving each other a questioning look.
“oh a couple of weeks ago, must’ve slipped my mind when i was writing to yous”
you told, eyes flicking from James to Sirius and then to Remus. looking away from the three of them as they started to fawn over the piercing, mumbling out about helping you take care of it.
“why didn’t you tell us?”
Sirius chimed in, slightly disregarding your words and attentively pointing out towards the piercing.
practically poking and prodding at the newly healed piercing, before you were pushing his hands away.
“it’s not like i didn’t want to tell yous, i just forgot to. besides, kinda knew you’d react like this”
you told, hooking a finger under Sirius’ chin before tilting it away with a smile. turning into Remus while his hands carefully splayed across your hips, eyes admiring the new jewellery you adorned.
“ignore them, think it looks great. they just want to make sure you’re doing fine, taking care of it ‘nd all”
nodding along to his words, head tilting back towards the other two boys who were nodding in agreement to Remus.
smiling at their concerns, your boys really did worry about you. wanting to take care of every little thing for you.
climbing back into bed and patting the empty spaces around you, humming as they followed after you and cuddled in around you.
James on your right side and Remus on your left, while Sirius lay his head on your lap. combing your fingers through his hair as the three of them continued on about taking care of you and your new piercing.
you’d woken up before the boys, your parents away to work before any of you would’ve dreamed to of woken up.
making your way into the bathroom to get ready for the day, dabbing a damp cloth at your new piercing trying to reduce the pain from one of the boys elbowing it in your sleep.
the creak of the bathroom door opening had your attention darting towards it, eyes landing on Sirius.
“sorry wasn’t expecting anyone else to be up yet”
you told, pulling the towel away from your piercing and setting it down on the rim of the sink.
holding your arms out to Sirius, his head resting on your shoulder and your arms going around his neck. pressing a kiss to his forehead as he cuddled in as close to you as he could, his arms loosely crossed at the small of your back before he murmured out.
“what’s the towel for?”
fingers brushing his hair out of his face as you held his gaze, his head lifting and his eyes holding concern at your prolonged pause.
his hands moving to cradle your face and tilting it from side to side, searching for any wounds or injuries before his eyes landed on your new piercing.
“someone managed to elbow it during the night, but i’m fine promise”
you tried assuring him, smiling softly up at him. his thumbs soothing once over your cheeks before he was resting his forehead against yours, voice a tired murmur as he replied.
“i’ll have a word with them, was probably Remus, y’know how he gets. restless bugger”

Sukuna's walking a thin line when it comes to his relationship with you. There's the part of him that considers you his best friend, the one person he's comfortable enough to tell everything to.
Then there's the part of him that's undeniably attracted to you. And it's not just your looks.
Sukuna loves the idea of you; the pretty rich girl who shouldn't be hanging out with him, the one whose father scowls at him every minute, whose friends can't help but stare at him in fear and disdain.
You're everything he's been told he can never be. You are the perfection his chaos can never become, and he can't help but love it, can't help but chase after it again and again.
It blurs the line that keeps you two as friends.
It's what has his arm around you during lunch, has him breaking his wallet to buy you your stupid lattes and your stupid shoes and jewellery. It's what has him keeping you on his lap at parties, gatherings.
It's what has his palms sneaking under your skirt, fingers tracing the lace outline of your panties as you sit on his lap in the stupid little gathering he'd pulled you to.
"You horny?" Sukuna whispers into your ear as his middle finger reaches the damp crotch of your panties, pushing the fabric between your lips. "Cause you're so fucking wet, baby."
You suck in a breath. Your lower half is obscured by the table before before you, but you're certain if someone were to come round, if someone were to just crane their neck a bit to peak, they'd see his hands between your legs.
"Sukuna..." Your words come out breathy, and the stimulation has your eyes fluttering. You hang your head low as you try to hide the pleasure etching itself unto your face.
He pulls your underwear to the side, and practically sighs when the pad of his finger touches your bare pussy. He groans as he gets a feel for it, rubbing along your slit before going up to gently tug at your clit.
You bite your lip, holding your moans as his middle and ring finger begin to push into you inch by delicious inch, the thumb of his other hand still working your clit so well.
You're pulsing around the two fingers stuffing your pussy, liquid pooling out as he pumps them in and out of you.
He presses forward, bringing his mouth to your ear. "Let's leave, yeah?" He ghosts your entrance. "I wanna taste your pussy, baby."
You're too dazed to think when he fucks you in his car. Sukuna has you bouncing on his dick in the driver's seat, your legs around his waist as he guides you up and down his rock hard cock.
He has a hand on your throat, squeezing gently.
"You're so fucking sexy, baby," he whispers as he watches you, eyes going from your face to your tits bouncing so erotically for him.
The empty parking lot is quiet save for the unmistakable sounds of sex; squelching pussy on dick, skin slapping and low, breathy moans from you and Sukuna.
"Ride me. Fuck- fuck this cock like you own it." He groans, raising his hip to meet you every time you come down on his cock. He's so out of it, staring at you with half lidded eyes as you whine and moan from how good his dick is in you.
His thighs are glistening with pre-cum and the spit from when he'd eaten your pussy, and the way your greedy hole's squeezing him in and pulsing around his shaft has his head falling back as he fucks into you.
"Kuna," You moan, eyes tightly shut as you're fucked into his dashboard, your back rubbing uncomfortably against it. But you couldn't bring yourself to care, not with how good his dick feels moving in and out of your tight pussy.
One of Sukuna's hands come up to grab at your left tit, the one on your neck coming down to furiously rub at your clit.
"Cum for me, baby," he pleads as his thighs begin to quake and his orgasm nears, "Come on. Give it to me, girl. Cum on this cock- it's begging, baby."
The problem with stepping across the line that defines your relationship is that you two weren't ready for it. You understood each other, but that doesn't mean you fit all that well.
He wants you, badly.
You want him too.
But that's not always enough. He's mean and he's rude, and he doesn't know how to be the kind of man you want. And you're not ready to compromise for his shortcomings.
You last two weeks before you fight.
"We were just texting!" Sukuna screams out, following after you as you stalk away from his bedroom, quickly crossing the hallway to his living room.
"She's sending you nudes!"
"Nudes? She was dressed!"
"In lingerie!"
Sukuna doesn't know how to set boundaries. He's never had to. He doesn't date. You're the first girl he's ever been interested in like that, and his pride and narcissism have him believing that you had to accommodate for his shortcomings.
That you had to manage his problems because he likes you and you know that, and you know you're his first girlfriend, and isn't that what a relationship is all about? Working through things?
The fact that you're not willing to is what pisses him off.
"She shouldn't be doing that. You shouldn't be allowing her! It's cheating!" You yell at him harshly, shoving him back as he approaches you.
"I can't get pictures now? It's not like I'm fucking touching her! You know I wouldn't touch her."
"It doesn't matter. Cheating isn't just touching, Sukuna! I don't want you interacting with other girls like that!"
He's boiling now, pissed at how you're talking to him, like you're trying to dictate his life.
"That's how I am! That's how I've always been. You knew that, and you still agreed to date me!"
"What? No! You asking me to date you meant that you'd stop all of this!"
It turns into a screaming match, with you walking out of his life.
And he thinks he's good for a while. Sukuna spends his nights in clubs, faded as fuck with girls all over him like he's some shiny lady-magnet. He posts his nights on his private story so you can see it.
He regularly drives past places he knows you frequently go to in hopes of running into you. He passes by your friend's places in hopes of seeing you. Everything he does is done with the intention of catching your attention.
It rakes him 5 weeks to show up at your doorstep again, eyes bloodshot and posture slumped.
Sukuna's mouth is on yours the minute you open the door, lips gently moving over your own as he holds your body to his. "I won't talk to her again," he murmurs, gently pushing you into your house and shutting the door behind him. "I won't talk to any other girl again. I swear, baby. Just take me back, baby."
Some may call you stupid for going back, but they're not here to hear the desperation in his voice, nor can they see the clear need in his eyes as he looks at you.
"Promise?" You whisper against his mouth, your hands in his hair as your breaths mingle.
"Promise, baby." His mouth moves to your neck, attacking the skin with teeth and tongue, "Fuck all the rest. I don't want them."

can you make Agatha and rio fighting for s/n's heart on the road? (Based on lay all your love on me
Lay All Your Love On Me.
Pairing: Agatha Harkness x reader, Rio Vidal x reader Warnings: None Song - Lay all your love on me by ABBA
I wasn't jealous before we met
Now every woman I see is a potential threat
And I'm possessive, it isn't nice
You've heard me saying that smoking was my only vice
When you and Agatha first met it was a year before the whole Westview incident you were confused to say the least. You had heard of the witch killer before. The woman who went around sucking the power and life out of those that got too close. So it confused you when you two had become friends and she had never once tried to take your magic. What was worse was the Jealousy and possessiveness that came along with her. Anyone that looked your way was glared at and told off. It became suffocating. When she had gotten trapped within the hold of Wanda’s magic you were a bit relieved. You missed her considering you didn’t have many friends (especially since she scared most of them away) but you had freedom now. You could do what you wanted without her constantly bombarding you with questions of where you were and who you were hanging out with.
But now it isn't true
Now everything is new
And all I've learned has overturned
I beg of you
The witches road is where you found yourself now though. Back in Agatha’s possessive hold. She wouldn’t let any of the other witches near you and always kept you within an arm's reach.
When they called upon a green witch though Agatha became more possessive. Rio, the green witch, had crawled out of the hole where you all had buried Sharon and offered you a flower with the words “For you, M’lady.” Before you could even grab the flower though Agatha had ripped it out of her hands and went to lunge at her but was held back by the rest of the coven. Agatha ripped you away from the group as she angrily stomped forward.
“Don’t go wasting your emotions on her. She’s incapable of feeling.” She turned suddenly taking your chin into her hand and forcing you to look up at her “Lay all your love on me”
It was like shooting a sitting duck
A little small talk, a smile, and baby I was stuck
I still don't know what you've done with me
A grown-up woman should never fall so easily
Rio thought getting you away from Agatha would be more difficult. But turns out all it took was for the teen to almost die. She was sitting next to you with your legs barely touching. She softly tucked a flower behind your ear and watched you smile. The smile seemed to light up her whole world. Caused her blackened heart to beat faster. Rio wasn’t sure how it had happened but she was falling for you so quickly.
I feel a kind of fear
When I don't have you near
Unsatisfied, I skip my pride
I beg you, dear
When Agatha came back to sit with the rest of the group she had motioned for you to come over to her but Rio had wrapped an arm tightly around you keeping you in place. She didn’t know how to describe it but the thought of you being away from her sent a shot of panic into her being. She was scared she’d lose you. Pulling you to stand she pulled you to a small clearing on the road gripping your waist tightly.
“Don’t go sharing your devotion sweetheart. You won’t like the outcome” She whispered into your ear threateningly. She moved one of her hands onto your face and moved so that you could feel her lips brushing against yours “Lay all your love on me” Just as she was about to lean in, Agatha appeared behind you ripping you out of her grasp.
“What did I tell you about wasting your emotion on her sweet thing?” Agatha said sickeningly sweet. Rio glared at the woman behind you as she went to reach for you.
“She knows where her devotion lies.” Agatha only chuckles at Rio’s words the two woman each had their hands on you attempting to pull you away from the other. What have you gotten yourself into?
Don't go wasting your emotion
Lay all your love on me
Don't go sharing your devotion
Lay all your love on me

So I have theories about this, and maybe this is just me and my weird brain shit, but: spending time with people should be reciprocal. You're not just hanging out with them, they're hanging out with you (or whatever is happening). And unless you have a very specific dynamic, it's generally not good for a relationship if there's no reciprocity going on. You have to listen to people, give them share of the conversation, remember things about them, and just general attend what they're doing/saying while you're together.
And this is good! This is how relationships are built and it's important and it's rewarding! Don't take any of this to mean that I resent the necessity of reciprocation.
But man, sometimes you don't have the energy to attend, and you still need the attention, attention you don't have to give back. You need people who are going to fawn over you and tell you how much they like you, tell you all the cool stuff they think about you, and listen to you talk about things you want to talk about.
Idk the solution to that, by the way. But I think understanding that "being the center of attention" and "spending time with other people" are overlapping but not a circle can help.
for someone who really likes spending time by himself i sure do feel the sentiment of “i need someone to pay attention to me or i’m going to start breaking car windows” quite often
#idk maybe other people don't have to check in with themselves#to make sure they're doing the latter and not the former#maybe that's just a me thing

“Got fuckin’ work in the morning I don’t have time for this shit.” Jungkook grumpily complained once again.
His friends here and there would drag him out to some parties downtown. Nights full of drinking and meaningless conversations with random people.
He used to be a party guy but after his career jump started, he had no interest in going out.
His friend group went out every weekend, bars, clubs, parties, etc. It didn’t matter. Any social event, you’d be sure to see them.
“Stop complaining. You’re here aren’t you?” Jimin groaned. “You’re getting annoying.”
“Whatever.” Jungkook shook his head.
“Don’t know why you’re mad. Maybe you’ll actually get some tonight.” Taehyung added.
“Yes Jungkook! We know hella girls here and I know they be down for some Kookie.” Jimin teased. “Are our usual girls going? What about the Kim girls? Or the Choi twins? Yo see is Y/n is gonna pull up!” He nagged Namjoon.
“I ain’t even check. Do it matter? You’ll hang with anyone.” Namjoon rolled his eyes in response.
The men eventually pulled up to the function, hearing the loud music blaring from the outside before they even went in.
“Smells like weed and cheating partners, my favorite.” Taehyung inhaled. “Aren’t you excited Jungkook?”
Jungkook glared in response, still annoyed.
The men flashed their IDs to the security at the front before entering.
His friends weren’t wrong about the smell. It grew stronger with each step, it burned into his nose.
“Ah shit my main ones already here!” Jimin pointed at a group of skimpy dressed girls dancing near the bar, “Hey ladies!”
The men walked their way, girls giggling at their enthusiasm.
“Ladies.” Taehyung smooth talked them, making them giggle and shy away.
Except one anyway.
“We missed you!” One of them pouted, attempting to be cute.
“Yeahhh! Jiminie it’s been a week why haven’t you texted me?” The others screechy voice could make Jungkook’s ears bleed.
“Oh my gosh.” One of them froze. “Omg omg omg!!! Jungkook finally came!! You brought him!” She jumped in excitement.
“Woah!”
“He’s so handsome in person!”
“How’d you get him to come out? Who cares! I want him to dance with us!”
“Come on girls.” Namjoon calmed them. “Let him breathe, he not used to the spotlight like us.”
Jungkook shot him a glare. “You act like I’m scared of em’.” He mumbled
“I know you not.” Namjoon shook his head. “But one of them, you might be.”
“What?”
“Fuck, it’s hot in here.” A voice came from behind the other girls. “Can you guys move out the way? I’m tryna get another drink.”
And his heart stopped.
He had never imagined he’d see the most beautiful face at some ghetto underground function.
“Hey Y/n.” Namjoon greeted, giving her a side hug.
“Hey Joon.” She smiled, turning to Jungkook. “You brought your other friend.” She smiled his way, waving.
He just stared back at her, with a dumb look on his face.
“What’d I tell you? Told you he wouldn’t talk.” Namjoon shrugged.
“It’s cool.” She shrugged. “Probably won’t see him again.”
“This why I can’t stand either of you. Never want to go out and live up your youth!” Jimin interrupted, two girls on his arm.
“Because some of us actually have lives outside nightclubs.” She rolled her eyes, refacing Namjoon. “Hold my purse? I need to go to the bathroom real quick.”
Namjoon nodded and she walked off.
“Bad as hell huh!” Namjoon blurted, bro-hugging Jungkook.
“She’s cool.” Jungkook tried to stay nonchalant.
“He’s lying!” Jimin laughed. “Nah we knew you’d like her that’s why we begged her to come out too!”
“You have got to be kidding me.” Jungkook groaned “You guys are annoying as shit.”
“Eugh look at him! My man’s smitten!” Jimin pretended to swoon, making all the girls laugh.
“Nah. She pretty yeah, but that’s about it.” He shrugged.
The man was lying through his teeth.
That weed smell? Turned to straight vanilla when she walked his way. His attitude? Complete 360.
Damn was she pretty. They didn’t even meet her here they had to drag her out.
The comment she made to Jimin? Instant green flag.
He felt more delusional than the time Taehyung through a Las Vegas stripper actually loved him.
He shook his head, ignoring his heart pounding out of his chest.
“Whatever man. Get this man a drink!” Taehyung flagged down the bartender.
“Okay I’m back.” Y/n grabbed her purse from Namjoon. “Thank you.”
“No worry about it. Yo, my boy said he’ll buy your drink. Get whatever.” Namjoon told her, winking at Jungkook.
“Really?” She rose her eyebrow, turning her attention to Jungkook.
“Uh— Yeah I got you. Get whatever.” Jungkook swallowed.
Namjoon made eye contact with the rest of the boys, signaling them to move away from the bar so they could be alone.
“I’ll take a Malibu Bay Breeze.” She ordered.
He ordered after her, “I’ll just take a Gin and tonic.”
“Sorry they’re annoying.” He apologized for his friends. “But I haven’t formally introduced myself, my names Jungkook.” He put out his hand.
“Y/n.” She shook Jungkook’s hand. “I heard you don’t like coming out like that huh?”
His lips curve into a slight smile. "Nah, I ain't really a party guy. My boys dragged me out.”
“But now that you hear, I'm glad I came." He takes a sip of his drink, eyeing her. “They never mentioned you before.”
The bartender came back around with their drinks, the two thanking them.
“I don’t come out like that either.” Y/n replied, sipping on the drink she was just served. “Namjoon and I dated a bit in college but now we just cool. He just asked me to come out tonight to hang out with you guys.”
His eyes widen briefly. "Oh so you know Namjoon, huh?”
She nodded.
“Well, I gotta say, Namjoon's got good taste.” His eyes linger on her face, then slowly drift down to her body. “Real good taste.”
“Yeah you think so?” She chuckled, “You definitely have a good eye.”
"Oh, you have no idea.” He leans in closer, growing more comfortable and confident. “Like I’ve said, I'm not really into the whole party scene, but if I had known there'd be beautiful women like you here, I'd have come more often."
“Really?” Her eyes widened. “I didn’t think Namjoon would pull up with a friend I wouldn’t find immature and annoying.”
“Well, I’m glad I'm not disappointing. And just so you know, I'm far from immature."
“You ain’t gotta tell me. I can see you compared to the boys. You’re more reserved than them” She responded.
"That's one way to put it.”
Jungkook reaches out and brushes a strand of hair behind her ear, “I like to think I'm more... refined. More put together."
He was pulling out the stunts now.
“I can tell.” She grinned.
Y/n was definitely giving him a major ego boost. Not in a desperate way, enough for him to want more.
“Refined and interested.” His voice dripped with passion. “So tell me, Y/n, what else can you tell about me based on first impressions? Since you’re so observant.”
“You seem to be very forward, I can already pick that up.” She chuckled. “Might be the playboy type.”
“Forward, yes. Playboy? I don’t know about that one Y/n.” He leans back slightly, “Hey now, I’m not that bad.” He grinned.
“But I won’t lie and say I don’t enjoy women.” He admitted."
“How’s that working out for you? Since you never go out.”
"Well, it's not like I haven't had options. He leans in close My bed's not empty every night, if that's what you're implying.”
He winks, clearly enjoying her company.
“So you are just like your friends is what you’re telling me?” She rose her eyebrow.
He noticed a small change in Y/n’s expression.
He was realizing he was getting a bit ahead of himself, getting cocky.
He needed to slow it down.
“Hell no, I'm nothing like those horny bastards.” He shakes his head, “I'm just... selective. And skilled. But hey, don't go spreading that around."
“Nah, now I have to tell everyone.” She teased.
Back on track.
He gasps dramatically, placing a hand over his heart. "You wouldn't dare. I'd have to take drastic measures to keep you quiet."
“Really? And what are those measures?”
Damn was Y/n beautiful. The light highlighted her face beautifully in every way.
She didn’t even need to show all out because her body was already built so perfectly.
Everytime she spoke it was like honey to his ears.
He grins, his eyes locking onto hers "Well, I could always make sure you forget all about telling anyone.”
He reaches out and gently brushes his thumb across her lower lip. “Or maybe I could just keep you occupied all night, so you don't have a chance to say a word."
She was definitely feeling him as much as he was feeling her.
“I like the sound of that…” She mumbled.
“I’ll be honest Y/n, I usually ain’t the type of guy who asks this to random women but,” He paused. “Would you want to get outta here and head back to my place?”
༊—
He nuzzles into her neck, inhaling deeply. "You smell amazing. His hand slides further up her thigh as he speaks. “Fuckin’ finally got you alone."
They had already made out during that entire taxi ride.
The two barely could barely make it through the door of his house, lips smacking and saliva dripping from their passionate mouths.
As soon as the door clicked shut, he was all up on her, his hands gripping her hips as he spun her around to face him.
His kisses was passionate and demanding, his hands roaming over her body possessively. He broke the kiss only to speak against her lips. “Bedroom. Now. I gotta have you.”
“You’re turning me out” she chuckled against his mouth before heading up his stairs into his room.
He followed close behind, his hands gripping her backside as they entered his room.
He gently pushed her onto his bed, his eyes never leaving hers as he began to unbutton his shirt. “You’re driving me crazy. So fuckin’ pretty.”
“I didn’t even do anything” She mumbled.
“You exist. That’s enough.” He crawled onto the bed, his hands finding the hem of her shirt.
“Lift your arms.” His voice was low, commanding.
He gently lifted her shirt over her head, tossing it aside as he took in the sight of her. His hands roam over her bare skin, his fingers tracing patterns on her stomach.
“Fuck, you're gorgeous.” He murmurs, his lips pressing against her collarbone.
“I’ll be honest I haven’t uh— done anything like this in quite some time.” She confesses.
Jungkook pauses, looking at her with a soft expression. "Okay, baby. Whatever you're comfortable with.”
He continues to kiss and nuzzle her neck, his hands staying above the waistband of her pants. "I just want to be with you, however you need me to be.”
That almost immediately set her off. It was the bare minimum yes, but she couldn’t help but smile.
She grabbed him by his hair and crashed her lips back onto his and sloppily made out with him once again.
His response was equally fervent, his hands gripping her hair as he deepened the kiss.
His body covered hers, his hips grinding against hers. He broke the kiss to trail his lips down her body, his tongue darting out to taste her skin. “Unbutton my pants.” He rasped out.
She nodded, doing as she was told.
He lifted his hips, allowing her to slide his pants and boxers down. His erection sprang free, waiting for her.
He guided her hand to it. “Stroke me. He groaned, his head falling back. “Just like that, baby. Your hand feels so good.”
She had no problem touching him, almost like she had already known his body.
He groaned at her touch, "Fuck, just like that." His hands found her breasts, kneading the soft flesh as he continued to grind against her.
He could feel her heat through her pants and it was driving him crazy. “Take these off— fuckin’ now.”
She loved being directed what to do. He was demanding and instructed her well. She quickly slipped her pants off, leaving herself in a dark red glittery thong she didn’t think anyone would’ve seen.
His eyes darkened as he drank in the sight of her. He ran a hand up her thigh, his touch rough.
"You look...addicting. His fingers hooked into the waistband of her underwear, slowly pulling it down. "Lift up, baby. So pretty”
She nodded slowly, biting her lip as she stared down at him.
He tossed her thong aside, leaving her bare before him. He took a moment to admire her, his hands caressing her thighs. "Spread your legs for me." His voice was low, almost a growl.
She slowly spread out her legs, her heat throbbing for him.
He settled between her thighs, his eyes locked on her center.
He reached up to spread her lips open, exposing her to his gaze. "You just pretty from head to toe." He murmurs, his thumb rubbing gentle circles against her clit.
"I'm going to eat you out until you can't remember your own name." He smirked in excitement.
“Jungkook” She whined, mesmerized by his words.
He grinned up at her, his breath fanning over her heated center. “I’m just getting started.”
He leaned in, his tongue flicking out to taste her.
He explored her thoroughly, his tongue delving deep inside her.
“Oh fuck” A curse word slipped from her lips, not expecting his warm and wet tongue so soon.
“Fucking amazing. Tastes so fucking good.” He mumbled against her head.
He chuckled against her, the vibration causing her to shudder. “Perfect girl.” He continued his assault, his hands holding her thighs apart as he devoured her.
“You’re fuckin’ good at that” She hummed, mind numb from how overwhelmed she was with pleasure.
He could feel her walls clenching around his tongue, her juices dripping down his chin.
He lifted his head, his chin glistening as he looked at her. “And I’m just getting started.”
He climbed up her body, kissing her deeply so she could taste herself on his tongue. His hands wrapped around her wrists, pinning them above her head. “Keep them there.”
He leaned over, grabbing a condom packet he had previously tossed on the bed. He ripped it open with his teeth and slid it over his length.
“Now just let me know if I need to go slow okay? Gotta let me know if you’re hurting.” He kissed her forehead.
“O-Okay.” She nodded.
He aimed himself at her entrance, his broad tip stretching her as he slowly inched inside her tight heat.
The two immediately gasped as it went in, exhaling as he fit himself inside her.
He groaned low in his throat, “Fuck, you’re so tight. You weren’t kidding”
“W-Whatever. You’re just too fucking big.” Y/n mumbled.
“Mm but you’re taking me so good beautiful.” He picked up his pace.
Jungkook grunted, burying his face in the crook of her neck as he slowly thrust deeper.
“Take a deep breath, baby. You can do it.” He encouraged her.
“Fuckkkk” She groaned “Shits starting to fit perfectly.”
He pulled back to look at her, a smirk on his face. “That's it, take every inch. Your pussy takes it so good.”
He started to move, his thrusts deep and steady. One hand released her wrists to grab her hip, pulling her into each thrust.
“Feels so good.” She breathed out.
“You have no idea.” He growled, his pace increasing as he pounded into her.
“Fuck, I love this tight pussy.” He reached between them, rubbing her clit in time with his thrusts. “Come on, baby. Let me feel you squeeze my dick more.”
“You’re so rough” She giggled, blushing.
He grabbed her ankles, spreading her legs wider as he continued to rail her.
The sound of skin slapping against skin echoed through the room, mixed with their heavy panting and her screams of pleasure. “That's it, baby. Take it. Fuck.”
She whined “So…Fucking…Mmm…Good”
He leaned down to kiss her, muffling her cries as he continued to thrust into her hard and fast.
His own grunts of pleasure filled the gaps between her moans. “You're so close, baby. I can feel your body gripping me tighter. Let go pretty girl.”
Her body trembled, “Y-yeah.” She was under him, shaking and whining.
He felt her walls clamp down on him, her orgasm hitting her hard. He didn't hold back, letting her cum before quickly pulling out and cumming all over her stomach through the condom.
He quickly rolled over beside her, the two panting.
“You better not tell Namjoon.”
“Oh I have to tell Namjoon.” He chuckled.
“You can’t!” She tried to catch her breath. “Then he’ll be right.”
“About?” He cocked his eyebrow.
“He told me that I would end up going home with you tonight.” She mumbled.
“Oh yeah?” He chuckled. “Worked out for me.” He wrapped his arm around her.
“Worked out a little too well, I actually did it.” She shook her head.
“Mm it worked out for me real baby I got a pretty girl in my bed.” He taunted.
“Whatever! I was supposed to not be here tonight.”
“But are you regretting this?” He stared at her.
“No…”
“Then it doesn’t matter. Let him be right.” Jungkook shrugged. “At the end of the day, I’m the real winner.”

I know that Halloween is over but I still gotta talk about this Hocus Pocus au I thought up
(Human) Adam just moved to Salem, the witch capital of the U.S and the whole town is telling ghost stories of Lucifer Morningstar, the famous male witch who swore he’d be back to take revenge on the townspeople before he was hung by the neck until dead.
Adam thinks this is a crock of shit, so he and his new friend Lute and his sister Emily sneak into Lucifer’s house (which has since been turned into a small museum) legend tells that Lucifer can only return if a virgin lights the black flame candle and Adam is being less than honest about his sexual exploits to his new friend.
As a joke to freak them both out he lights the candle. Unfortunately for him, it works and the witch appears in a violent gust of wind
That’s all I got but I just like the idea of Adam trying to escape from witch Lucifer
MY DUDE I LOVE THIS!!! @fanofstuff01 @beef-brisket
And I'm going to have him and Lute be like freshmen in college so Adams like 19-20 and Emily is like say a senior in high school her and Adam are a year apart.
And yes they had Emily out trick or treating because she's short en to get away with it and said "teenagers are allowed candy too".
-
Lute: Adam come on this isn't funny, the curse is real.
Adam: It's not real because witches and magic aren't real. The trails were just so they could hang a bunch of people who didn't agree with their beliefs.
They looked around the museum house and at night it's creepy especially being in the woods. Emily turned on a light so they could see.
Emily: Can we go?
Adam: No look at all this cool stuff! And that book? Says it's bound in real human flesh...... Gross.
Lute watched as Adam went over to the black candle.
Lute: Don't light that! If a virgin lights the candle it's said that Lucifer Morningstar will come back from the dead.
Adam burst out laughing: Good thing I'm not a virgin then.
Emily raised a brow: You only dated Eve for like a week.
Adam: You can have sex in a week!
The truth was they only made out a little bit and then her folks didn't want her having a boyfriend until after she graduated from high school.
So yes, Adam is a virgin. But his fucking sister doesn't need to know that!
He pulled out his lighter and smirked, curses and magic what a load of shit.
Lute: Adam no!
Adam lit the candle: See, nothing to-.....
The house started to violently shake, the floorboards glowed underneath and a laughter could be heard.
Lute: The fuck!?
Emily glared at Adam: A virgin lit the candle.
Adam: W-what!? It's okay! I'll just blow it out!
He blew out the candle but the flame came back.
Lute and Emily's eyes went wide when they saw a man that matches Lucifer's picture come out from the back room.
Lucifer: And who do I owe the pleasure to? Hmm? Oh, you.~
Adam turned around and jumped, what the fuck!?
Lute: We should go.
Adam: Good idea.
They all turn to run out the door, Emily and Lute make it out but the door slams in Adams face locking him in.
Adam: Fuck!
Emily bangs on the door: Adam!!
Adam tried pulling on the door but it was no use. Chills crept up his spine when a low laugh echoed in the room. He turned to see Lucifer standing there with his book now in hand.
Lucifer: Oh, you weren't leaving already were you?~

Good to Me
The three times that Mingyu regrets setting you up, and the one where he finally says something.
Word count: 1.5k
Warnings: Mingyu’s a little bit of a jerk, but that’s it.
This is part of the Three Times series. This one is inspired by this reaction.
One
It’s Mingyu’s turn to set you up. You introduced him to a friend of yours last week and it went so well, no matter how short-lived it was, that you’re holding it against him now. You’re dressed to the nines for a night out at the club and Mingyu just rolls his eyes when you remind him what you’re looking for on the drive over. He knows what you’re looking for because he’s known you too long not to.
He’s invited you to tag along with the infamous 97 line. You’ve met many of them before, but he just raises an eyebrow at you when you take one look at Jaehyun and say ‘I want him’. You follow it up with a shrug and say ‘he looks good as a blond’.
After only a couple drinks, Mingyu doesn’t have to do a lot of work to set you up because Jaehyun is doing all of the work for him. He knows every single one of his friends would date you or hook up with you, and it’s just a matter of you picking out who.
He doesn’t think much of it when you and Jaehyun disappear a little while later. He checks your location and you’re at home. Mingyu continues on with his night, business as usual.
Two
Mingyu’s eyes bug out when you tell him you have a date. Not that it’s unheard of, but youve always said you don’t really want to be tied down. There’s something about the little twinkle in your eye that tells him this one might be different.
“Jaehyun? Really? Was he that good?” Mingyu teases, but he’s a little confused at how his whole heart isn’t in the little jab. Particularly when your eyes shine a little brighter at the mention of his friend’s name.
“I think I really like him, Mingyu. I want to see where this goes.”
You’re his best friend and he loves you and wants to see you happy - which you certainly look right now. So he does what any good best friend would do and waves you to your closet to help you figure out what to wear. He’s seen you in practically everything hanging in here so he takes charge.
But there’s a weird feeling in the pit of his stomach with every date you go on over the course of the next couple weeks. It’s never been like this before, even when you have pursued someone with some seriousness. He shoves it back because he doesn’t know when this changed for him.
He knows you’re attractive. He knows you’re smart. He knows you’re funny. He’s not stupid and any straight guy would be crazy to turn you down. When did he become one of those that would be crazy? One of those that would beg for a chance?
You don’t seem to notice how reserved he’s gotten about the topic of Jaehyun. You’re too in love already to notice anything else.
Three
He’s out to lunch with a few 97 liners. Jaehyun is sitting across from him and he’s never wanted to hit his friend more, especially when you’re brought up. Jaehyun isn’t saying anything gross or mean, but the dopey smile on his face is driving Mingyu up the wall.
“How does it feel to finally have a successful set up, Mingyu?” Eunwoo asks teasingly. They all know how you and Mingyu operate, and have occasionally begged to be on the receiving end of that set up.
Mingyu shrugs noncommittally. “It’s whatever.”
“Ouch,” Jaehyun laughs. “I thought we were friends.”
“We are, but no one’s good enough for my best friend.” Mingyu knows the answer is brutal but it’s honest.
“Maybe,” Jaehyun admits. “But things are going well.”
“For now,” Mingyu’s words have an unintended bite to it.
Jaehyun looks like he’s getting a little offended. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means that nothing lasts with her. I love her to death but she’s got more commitment issues than all of us combined.”
The mood has shifted, and Eunwoo tries to recover the conversation, but Mingyu’s realized what he said, particularly how he said it, and he can practically see how the wheels are turning in Jaehyun’s head. He really, really hopes that it doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass later.
Four
You’re crying. He can tell as soon as he answers the phone and it kind of feels like a gut punch. Then there’s an extra punch when you say, “How dare you, Kim Mingyu! Why would you say that to Jaehyun?”
“Say what?” A lot of the sympathy for you dries up as soon as you mention Jaehyun, so he tries to play dumb. You sniffle and it makes him bite his tongue.
“I’ll have you know he dumped me because he said it wouldn’t last - that you said nothing ever does with me. I thought we were friends, Mingyu. I thought you wanted me to be happy.” You’re sniffling double time now and he’s starting to feel guilty. Of course he wants you to be happy.
“Are you home? I’ll come over with dinner and we can talk.”
You scoff. “Don’t bother.” The dial tone echoes in his ears and he sighs.
Wonwoo’s staring at him from the other side of the couch. “You’re an idiot.”
Mingyu stammers. “You’re supposed to be supporting me. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
“You sabotaged your best friend’s relationship. Is that not wrong?”
“How do you even know that?” Mingyu cried.
“Seokmin is in some of those group chats, remember? Now go apologize. Get some flowers and chocolate and just confess while you’re at it.” Wonwoo’s already got his face buried in his book again. Mingyu huffs and finally stands.
You do not look pleased to see him. You even try to slam the door in his face. “Wait, wait, wait! Just let me explain.”
“Explain what? Explain what you really think of me?” You’re sniffling again between the crack in the door as you glare.
“It was mean of me to say, and I didn’t mean it like that. I’m sorry.” It’s not like Mingyu to admit he’s wrong. You know that, which is why eventually you open the door and let him in. He puts everything down on the table and you give him a look. Sheepishly, he says, “I wasn’t sure how much of an apology you needed so I might have gone a little overboard.”
He lets you eat the chocolate first. It’s a comfort food and it’s only fair that he lets you get a head start. “I’m sorry,” he starts.
“You said that,” you mumble through another bite.
“I didn’t mean it like that, not how he took it anyway.”
“You said that too. You need to do better at this apology.”
“Fine.” He huffs, jumping up to pace. “I didn’t mean that you couldn’t commit, and of course I’d want you to be happy if you found the right person. But Jaehyun isn’t good enough for you. No one is, not even me. It’s never mattered because you don’t keep someone around often like you were with Jaehyun.”
“You’re a dumbass, Kim Mingyu.”
He gasps. “How about an ‘I forgive you’? I’m trying to apologize and you insult me?”
“It’s true, you are a dumbass and you deserve to be called that. Do you ever wonder why I ask you to hook me up?” He stares dumbly at you and you keep going. “I do it so maybe you’ll be a little jealous and just admit that we have something.” You laugh humorlessly. “But it’s so painful sometimes because they’re never you and I still have to watch you go home with woman after woman.”
“Y/N, I don’t understand,” Mingyu stammers.
“It’s fine, Mingyu. If you don’t feel the same, you can just say so.” You’ve deflated, playing with the wrapper from the chocolate.
He marches over to you, pulling your chin up and slamming his lips onto yours. He feels you melt and it makes him melt too. When he pulls away, you’re pouting. “One more apology. I’m sorry it took me so long to catch up.”
“I forgive you.” You look like you’re thinking and then you smile. “What do you think about a change of plans on Friday?”
“Oh?” He asks, smiling lightly. You both usually go to the club when you can, but things have just changed at the snap of a finger.
“How about a date instead?”
“Sounds great. I’ll never step foot in a club again if you aren’t coming home with me.”
You giggle and snort, “Yeah, okay,” but it doesn’t even occur to him to be offended by the jab. He feels like he’s floating now that the weight is off. “I don’t know, maybe we can stop by the club after dinner just to say we left together.”
“Sounds great,” he repeats, kissing you one more time. Or two. Or a dozen.

More Between Us.
You’ve always been just friends, but they can’t ignore how their heart races whenever you’re near.
FEAT. Isagi, Bachira
NOTES. probably my most tooth-rotting post yet! annnd I totally forgot I had this in my drafts Bring this duo back to me though pleasj
ISAGI is easygoing, and mild-mannered by nature (though perhaps his rivals disagree on that). It’s literally harder to not be friends with him. Your relationship was equally good, nothing particularly special and not abysmal. The type of friends who might talk on the way to class if you spot each other, but never go out of their way to do so either.
If asked, you wouldn’t even say best friends; he’s too busy with his teammates, and you have your own friend group.
See, Isagi enjoys thinking about stuff in a logical sense, using reason and evidence to support his ‘theory’. Both in real life and in football.
So before he even comes to the conclusion of a crush, firstly, there’s the small details he picks up about you.
Your eyes shift colour slightly if the sun hits them right. But, he reckons that happens with everyone’s eyes. Your eyes crinkle upwards when you smile, and maybe even dimples form on your cheeks as you do so. He likes seeing people smile, and yours is… in a way, cuter than anyone else’s? If he had to rank smiles, he’d put yours near the top. All hypothetical, obviously!
He’s always been observant, even as a kid, so Isagi figured he was just feeling a little more insightful as of late but it doesn’t stop there.
Suddenly, Isagi finds himself unconsciously lingering in places he knows you'll be. He tells himself it's just coincidence, but deep down, he has a feeling that he’s seeking you out more often.
Practicing with his team becomes a lot more strategic, with him making sure he's near your usual route home (not in a stalker way, at least, he hopes not), and just on time so that he can ‘bump into you’ and walk together.
And he lives in the complete opposite direction, so, while you don’t mind his presence, you find it a little odd.
Isagi begins to remember every little thing you mention, even the small stuff, like your favorite snack or the song you've been listening to on repeat. Next thing you know, he’s casually surprising you with them, acting like it’s no big deal but loves it when you get visibly excited about it.
He fumbles with his words a little more around you now, overthinking simple things that never used to bother him. It’s not like he’s shy (actually one of the best communicators out of everyone), he just doesn’t want to mess up or make you think he’s weird!
If he says something that could be interpreted as mildly creepy, he’s actually the first one to call it out and apologise over and over again. Beats himself up about it at home, even if you thought it was mildly funny that he knew what you were doing last week Tuesday at around 5:06PM…
When his teammates joke about him having a crush, he laughs it off, but there’s always a little pink in his cheeks that he hopes you don’t notice.
He'll start texting you first more often, just to share something funny or ask for your opinion on something trivial. It’s an excuse, really, just to have another reason to talk to you.
Also catches himself smiling whenever he sees a notification from you pop up on his phone, and his heart does a little flip when he reads your replies, no matter how mundane they are. Literally a “hey, I’m bored. Wanna hang out” is enough for him to lose sleep over it.
When you two do eventually go to said hang out, he pays extra attention to you: whether it's making sure you’re comfortable, or that you’ve got enough to eat, he’s always subtly looking out for you.
Despite all these signs, Isagi convinces himself it’s better this way — giving you small hints for you to understand rather than straight-up confessing. If you notice them and accept, great! If you notice and don’t accept, that’s fine too, he hopes you can remain friends though!
If you’re completely oblivious, well… he’ll muster up the courage to say it outright.
You and BACHIRA are like two peas in a pod together! Where there’s one, the other’s probably lurking nearby somewhere. Every second of every day seems to be spent with each other (and to anybody with common sense, you two already look like you’re dating).
When the crush starts, he thinks about you more than he already did, if that were even possible. Every little thing you do seems to make his heart race, but he sorta brushes it off as just excitement from being with his best friend.
Kind of a trickier situation than Isagi’s one this way though, because now you’re so close, Bachira doesn’t even feel that different about you. He might not even realise it’s romantic until his mother points it out in the midst of another one of his rambling sessions. About you, that is.
I won’t sugarcoat it; he’s nervous if anything. You’re one of the few friends he has and genuinely seem to care and like about him and if he ruins your friendship over his feelings, he’d be devastated.
But he’s back to his usual self and gains a little confidence after some encouragement from others!
Bachira’s clinginess ramps up a notch, but it’s so typical of him that you might not even notice. He’s constantly draping an arm around you, leaning on you, or just being in your personal space as much as possible.
Willing to share anything and everything with you. For example, if it’s snacks he’s got, he’s always picking out the best pieces just for you and handing them over with a cute smile.
Bachira finds himself staring at you a lot more now. Sometimes you’ll catch him and he’ll just laugh it off with a playful comment, but on the inside, his mind is racing with thoughts he can’t quite put into words.
When you talk, he listens with full attention, his usual playful demeanor softening into something more tender. He hangs onto your every word like it’s the most important thing he’s ever heard — and you could literally be talking about a bug you saw on the sidewalk this morning.
If you ever need anything, Bachira’s the first one to jump in and help, no questions asked. He’d go out of his way just to make you smile, even if it means a truckload of extra effort on his part.
Sometimes, he hints at deeper feelings in his usual roundabout way — in little jokes that might just have a hint of truth behind them. But he always plays it off as just that, a joke.
If you’re feeling down, he’s the first to notice, offering comfort in the form of goofy antics or just sitting with you in silence if that’s what you want.
If you ever confront him directly and ask if he feels something more than just being friends, Bachira might just spill everything in a rush of words; unable to keep his feelings hidden any longer. But until then, he’s content simply being by your side, even if it means he isn’t being entirely honest to himself.

Photo Inspo
You sense movement, you hear scuffing, and feel the air shift. Yet all you can focus on is each breath. Your chest throbs with the effort it takes to just keep going. To just keep living.
The smell of gunpowder clogs your nose and the taste of bile stains your tongue. The adrenaline seeps from you, leaving you weak and wilting. Your arms tremble as you barely keep yourself from crumpling into a heap.
Your legs are bent to one side and your head hangs under an invisible veil. He’s dead. Your father is dead. You killed him. But why aren’t you sad?
You’re afraid. Anxious. Addled. But you’re not sad. You have no remorse for the life lost. That is what hurts. Your own callousness stabs you in the heart.
You shudder and heave again. Barnes’ shadow looms over you and slowly, he bends his knees to come to level with you. He has his gun in his hand. He holds it without intent.
“You got what you asked for. My end is done,” he says.
You raise your head slowly and look at him. You blink. His end... what about yours?
“It’s late. You’re tired,” he reaches to slide the gun into his holster. “You’re gonna go home and you’re going to sleep. And in the morning, when my man comes to hand you that black envelope, you’re going to cry and act shocked.”
You push your lip out and shake your head. You search his expression. He is stoic and unbothered.
“That’s what you’re going to do, isn’t it, doll?” He prompts.
You swallow, “what do you want--”
“I just told you what I want you to do,” he interjects. “Don’t you worry, I always collect my debts.”
He stands and tugs on his cuffs. He faces the chair and you slowly follow his gaze to the corpse. Your father’s face is slack and lifeless. You’re horrified at the sight of death, that it’s his, doesn’t affect you as much.
You sit and stare and try to feel. That’s your father. That’s the man who is responsible for your very being. You share blood. He has been there every moment of your life. His is a constant.
Not anymore and that just doesn’t matter to you. It should. Shouldn’t it?
Well, what is there to miss about him?
“Stand up and walk out of here. There’s a light pole by the gate. Wait there.” Barnes instructs without looking back.
He pushes his arms back and slides off his jacket. He folds it and places it on the bare metal table by the wall. He turns back and unbuttons his sleeves. He rolls them as he nears your father’s body.
“I’m being patient because I know you’re in shock, so I’ll tell you one my time to go,” he says, focus on the dead man. “You and your sisters are under my protection. Go and be with them.”
You take a breath and steady yourself as best you can. You stand and hug yourself. You look at your father one last time and turn away. You walk out stiffly. Now that you’re on your feet, you don’t ever want to stop.
You pass through the door and trod across the tarmac. You come into the yellow cone of light cast beneath the tall pole and stop. You wait. Not long before Rogers appears in his black cadillac.
That woman is gone. You don’t wonder who she is. If she’s with him, she must be one of them. You are too. You were born into that life, but now, you really do belong.
Neither of you say a word as he drives you home. You don’t look back as you get out of the car and go inside. Your sisters aren’t home yet. You don’t expect them to be. You can never go to The Reel without stopping at the milkshake place after and they stay open late for the movie goers.
Those little details are so meaningless now. Nothing really makes a difference. Life is a fraying thread and it will snap. You just don’t know which tug will be the one that breaks it.
You go upstairs and undress. You pull on a pajama set and take your clothes downstairs to the bin. You lay down on the couch and wait for your sisters.
When they get home, you quietly listen to them jabber. They talk about the movie. Kitty loves how good it looked. It must have been remastered and Adrienne got the last bag of caramel corn. You force a smile but it doesn’t feel believable. It must be. They give you your box of chocolate-covered raisins and wish you a good night.
You follow them upstairs. As you get to your door, Adrienne says your name. Both you and Kitty stop and look at her.
“I wish every day could be like this,” she says.
Kitty nods, “yeah, I hope he never comes home.”
Your heart feels like it’s stopped. You don’t know how you’re doing it. You don’t know how you’re not shrieking and pulling your hair out. Any sane person would be a puddle. He's not coming back. Your father is dead and you killed him.
“Wouldn’t that be nice?” You say at last. “Good night.”
“Night,” Adrienne chimes back and Kitty echoes her.
You all go into your rooms and shut the doors. You put the raisins on the dresser and ignore your bed. You go to the closet where you used to hide and listen to your father yell. You sit on the floor and lean into the wall. You hug your legs and stare into the static darkness.
The night is long and sleepless. Your head dips now and again but you start as the echo of a gunshot brings you back before you can succumb to the depths. The morning light peers in from the other side of the slatted door.
You climb out of the closet and listen to the house. You stay in your room. You hear Kitty’s door first, then Adrienne’s a few minutes later. You stand by your door and argue with yourself. Just go. Go out and act like everything is normal. Go and enjoy your new life free of that tyrant.
It’s only the doorbell that makes you go out. You hear footsteps below and you open your door. You come to the top of the stairs as Kitty stands at the door. Adrienne appears just behind her.
“Courtesy of the boss,” Rogers deep voice is crisp in the early hours.
Kitty thanks him in a whisper. She shuts the door as he goes. She doesn’t move until you hear his car engine.
“What is it?” Adrienne asks.
Kitty turns. You sit on the top stair as she holds the black envelope. Her eyes are stuck to it. Adrienne stumbles and catches herself on the wall. You languish in the silence. All three of you.
Kitty looks up at you and you look between her and Adrienne. Your eyes search each other, taking turns, frozen, frightened. Now that your father is gone, what happens to you?

warnings!! cursing, kissing
wc: 3k
“Y/n L/n drunk and crying on the curb. You’re in your element.” Jack smiled at you out the passenger window from the driver's seat. You had been out with your friends for a girls night. It was supposed to be fun and you were supposed to let loose, but instead you found yourself chasing your wasted friends around all night. You were too busy making sure they wouldn’t do anything stupid to have any fun of your own. When you went to the bar to get a drink you turned around and they were gone. They left you by yourself in the city in the middle of the night, and being scared to ride in an Uber alone, you decided to call your best friend, Jack.
“I’m not drunk, asshole. I’m barely even tipsy.” You got up to stand, walking towards the car door, hopping in with one swift motion. You climbed into the seat, slamming the door behind you, and crossing your arms. Jack’s gaze lingered over you for a moment watching your misery which he hated more than anything. He graced you with an empathetic half smile before turning his hazards off and driving the car back onto the road.
He sighed deeply, turning the radio down slightly “What happened?” he asked softly.
“Maria and Chloe left me in the bar alone. Some creep was all over me at the bar and I guess they assumed I was good with him.” You sniffled out, wiping your eyes with the back of your hand. “I spent the whole night chasing them around.” Jack placed a hand on your shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly. “I just wanted one night of my own to let loose and have fun.” You flailed your arms in the air letting tears escape your eyes.
“Hey, the night is still young.” You turned your head to look over at him, noticing how perfect his jawline looked through the street lights. “We can still have fun. Luke’s staying with Quinn in Vancouver. We'll hang out just the two of us like old times.” Jack’s words settled in, and you couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips. Despite the situation, he always knew how to lift your spirits.
You glanced over to him, letting out a deep breath. “Yeah? Sure you’re up for it? It’s already almost one.”
Jack scoffed playfully and squeezed your shoulder. “Of course I am. You’re my favorite person and we can’t have you sad on a Saturday evening.”
The drive back to the apartment was silent for the most part. You watched out the window, the familiar streets making you feel more at ease. You and Jack walked through the apartment complex in silence, watching as he fiddled for his keys in his pocket. You stepped through the door, letting the scent of the cinnamon candle fill your nose. You felt almost immediately at ease as you flopped onto Jack’s bed, letting his soft duvet entrap your body.
“Get out of my bed.” Jack laughed, pulling you up by your arm.
“Why? I’m so tired.” You pouted, giving him puppy eyes.
“You know the rule, no outside clothes in my bed. No makeup either, you’ll get it on the white sheets.” Jack smiled as he walked over to his dresser, pulling out a devils t-shirt and a pair of boxers for you to wear.
“Nuh uh. Your dick has been in those.” You crossed your arms, glaring at Jack who had the clothes in hand.
“They’ve been washed. Don’t get your panties in a twist.” He threw them over to you.
“Correction, don’t get these Jack Hughes gray Calvin Klein boxers in a twist.” You said, making your way towards the bathroom. You slipped your sweaty black dress off your body, stealing some of Jack’s deodorant before pulling the shirt over your head. You took a moment to stare at yourself in the mirror, analyzing everything that had gone wrong tonight. You felt a small sense of betrayal from your friends as sadness crept up on you. You wondered what kind of friend would leave you alone in a bar with some random man in the middle of the night with no ride home. Jack would never do that, no he would’ve never let the guy get within two feet of you. Suddenly relief washed over you, realizing that you were safe at Jack’s house and not sleeping on the floor of Chloe’s apartment. He wanted nothing more than to make you comfortable, though you couldn’t tell why. You pulled the boxers up and began carefully wiping your makeup off with the neutrogena makeup wipes that Jack kept at his place for you. You started to glance around the bathroom noticing that he kept a lot of things here for you. You always knew they were there because you used them, but you never really took attention to the gesture. You looked down at the sink seeing your pink toothbrush, whitening strips, cerave face wash, and your expensive mouthwash he knows you like. You turned your head to the back of the toilet where Jack had put various feminine products in glass containers. You glanced at the shelves in the shower at your shampoo, conditioner, sugar scrub, shaving cream, and your razor. That’s a lot of things that cost a good bit of money. You thought to yourself, this place screams “I have a girlfriend” do girls not notice these when they come over? Come to think of it, Jack’s never really mentioned girls around you. You knew he had them of course from Luke and Quinn, but you never bothered to ask him thinking it may cross a line. You however, spent endless hours talking his ear off about your male conquests. Guys from work, home, bars, hinge, you name him and Jack’s heard about him.
“You good in there?” Jack knocked on the door.
“Y-yeah i’m alright just finishing taking off my makeup.” You replied, his voice breaking your trance.
“Just making sure you didn’t pass out.” You couldn’t see him, but you could sense his sly smile through his voice.
“I’m not drunk, Jack!” You shouted, kicking the door which resulted in several giggles from him. You wiped the final streak of eyeliner off your face and made your way out of the bathroom. You immediately caught sight of Jack lounging on the bed in his sweatsuit, computer in his lap. He looked up from the screen to subtly stare at you in his clothes. His eyes softening at the sight of you, his shirt fit comically large around your frame, but it was perfect to him in some way.
“Gonna keep staring at me like some fuckin’ weirdo?” You raised your eyebrows at him.
He scoffed, “Sit down, pretty girl.” He scooched over so you could lay beside him, your shoulders brushing against each other as you took your spot.
“No, pretty girl left a few seconds ago when I took off my makeup.” You turned your face slightly to look at him. A smile was already growing across his face.
“Impossible. There’s one looking at me right now.” The two of you held your gaze for a few moments, neither of you sure what to do next. Your heart began to pound as you thought of the possibility of him kissing you. You quickly turned your face towards the laptop screen.
“So what are we watching?” You cleared your throat, your head finding its place to rest on his shoulder.
“Not one of those stupid romcoms you like.” You smacked his shoulder playfully and scoffed.
“You love those movies!”
“Wrong. I liked Ten Things I Hate About You.”
“So, that's the pick?” Jack groaned, throwing his head back.
“Fine! But no crying.” He started typing the movie into the search engine, clearly pretending to grumble about it. You settled against him, head on his shoulder, letting yourself sink into his skin as the movie started. His arm wrapped around you, pulling you closer, and you tried to distract yourself from the way his thumb absentmindedly traced patterns along your arm. You could feel him stealing glances of you as the movie went on, his head shifting slightly. You felt the warmth of his gaze and couldn’t help to sneak a few back, each one resulting in a smirk or a soft laugh from him. It was enough to make your heart race. As the poem scene began playing, you couldn’t help but let tears fall. You shifted to wipe your eyes, feeling silly but not caring.
Jack chuckled, pulling you in closer, his voice low and teasing “I thought we agreed no crying.”
“Shut up.” You mumbled, hiding your face in his shoulder. “I’ve seen it so many times, but it just gets me y’know?”
He rested his chin on your head, giving you a gentle squeeze. Your heart thudded as he pulled back slightly to look down at you, his face closer than ever, his blue eyes scanning your expression trying to read your thoughts. You felt a rush of courage and held his gaze, feeling the redness rise to your cheeks. Finally, Jack spoke, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Y’know you don’t need makeup for me. You’re perfect the way you are.” You blinked, catching your breath as his words sunk in. He brushed a strand of hair from your face and before you could think twice, you found yourself leaning in to close the gap between the two of you. Maybe it was the confidence of the alcohol, but that had almost entirely worn off. Jack’s eyes flickered with something unspoken as he met you halfway, his lips pressing softly to yours for a lingering kiss. The two of you held the kiss for a moment, his teeth subtly biting your bottom lip gently. His hand moved to cup the back of your head, as yours moved to his arm. The kiss intensified in an instant, releasing every amount of tension that kept it hidden for so long. You both pulled back, foreheads resting against each other, each of you breathless. He stole one last kiss, before pulling away entirely, smiles growing slowly as the realization hit.
“I love you.” He cooed out, his hand still resting on the back of your head. You let out a soft laugh, moving to rest your forehead in the crook of his neck, wrapping your arms around his body.
“I love you too, Jacky.” He quickly moved his hands to wrap around your waist, pulling you in closer to his body, letting the scent of your perfume entrap him. Your legs were tangled, letting yourself drift off to sleep as the tv played softly in the background, neither of you watching any longer. Jack waited until you were asleep before moving you over, so he could spoon you letting himself breathe. He pulled his phone from the nightstand with his freehand to text his brothers about tonight's victory.
Jack: Guys I did it. She’s mine. Told her I loved her.
Luke: Who?
Jack: Y/n
Quinn: HAHA no way
Jack: Yes way
Luke: No. Number one you're too much of a little bitch to ever tell her, two she would never ACTUALLY go for you.
Quinn: As much as I want you to go for it, you never would
Jack: I DID I SWEAR
Luke: Yeah okay pal cya tomorrow
The night was peaceful, you and Jack were wrapped in each other throughout your sleep. The morning light was harsh on your eyes which Jack took notice of, and got up from the bed to close the blinds. You subtly shifted your body onto the pillow at the sense of Jack’s absence. He chuckled softly and moved his way to the kitchen to start preparing breakfast. Luke was coming home today with Quinn alongside him. He didn’t expect to have you over last night, but my goodness was he happy about it. Jack began mixing batter in a bowl for the pancakes, letting his mind drag him to the memory of you sound asleep next to him in his bed. He wanted every night to be that way. He glanced over to his door hoping that maybe you would stumble out of his room, but he knew you were tired from the night before. He was in the middle of flipping a pancake when he heard the front door open, followed by the familiar voices of his brothers.
“Guess who's back!” Luke shouted, walking into the apartment, throwing his bag on the couch. “Ooh! Pancakes!” Luke ran to the kitchen trying to get in Jack’s way, to which he responded by pulling the plate of finished pancakes out of Luke’s grasp.
“Uh uh! Go wash your hands first.” Luke groaned and made his way to the closest bathroom, which was Jack’s.
“You’re such a mom.” Quinn remarked, taking a seat at a barstool. “Funny joke last night, but seriously you need to tell Y/n how you feel. Even if she doesn’t feel the same, it’ll at least stop you from following her around like a lovesick puppy.” Jack slammed the stack of pancakes on the counter, pulling out four plates instead of three which Quinn didn’t take notice of.
“I’m not joking. I actually did it.” Jack scoffed.
“Uh huh sure, and I quit my job last night.” Quinn laughed out as Jack sent him a middle finger. The scene was quickly interrupted by Luke storming out of Jack’s room, running towards the kitchen. “Woah, Luke. Slow down.” Luke was panting, hands on his knees trying to catch his breath from the run he just took.
“There's…A…” He took deep breaths before every word.
“There’s a what?” Quinn questioned, pulling a pancake from the pile onto his plate.
“There’s a girl in Jack’s bed.” He panted out. Quinn’s eyes widened, immediately shifting his gaze to Jack who was smirking.
“So mr I confessed my love to Y/n last night has a girl in his bed?” Jack threw his head down at the stupidity of his brother. “Knew you were lyin”
“WHO DO YOU THINK THE GIRL IS?” Jack yelled, a wide smile across his face. Luke’s mouth dropped immediately, forgetting about the pancakes he ran back to Jack’s room, Quinn following close behind. Luke didn’t think twice before jumping on the bed throwing his body over yours. You awakened in an instant, you rubbed your eyes and looked up to Luke who was wearing a sly smile.
“Gross Luke. How much axe body spray did you put on?” You groaned out, your eyes still not fully opened.
“No! Gross Y/n. You kissed our brother!” Quinn stated as he moved his way onto the bed, lying down next to you, propping himself up on his elbows. You squinted your eyes, trying to find the strength to keep them open.
“She’s in his bed, they definitely did more than kissing.” Luke laughed out and you sent him a hit to the shoulder.
“Get off me you asshole!” You pushed Luke off, climbing your way out of the bed and towards Jack's dresser.
“After all this time I can’t believe he actually did it.” Quinn let out with a chuckle as you pulled one of Jack’s hoodies from the drawer.
“What are you talking about?” You said pulling the hoodie over your head.
“Dude, Jack’s been in love with you since like seventh grade.” Luke shifted his position to the edge of the bed as you turned to face him.
“Are you serious?” You squinted your eyes, crossing your arms.
“Are you kidding? You never knew? He made it so painfully obvious.” Quinn chuckled, throwing his head back slightly. You stood there still processing what Quinn said, your heart pounding at the revelation. Jack had been in love with you since seventh grade? How did you miss that? All those little gestures, every time he was always there when you needed him, the way he’d listened to you talk about every guy you dated, even if you could sense his slight discomfort. It all made sense now.
Luke, still lounging on the bed, watched your reaction with a mischievous grin, “So do you like him back, or was last night just some…experimental sleepover?”
“Luke, stop. It’s- complicated.” You turned your head trying to hide your blush, knowing damn well that it wasn’t complicated. You just didn’t want to have this conversation with Jack’s teasing brothers who just so happened to be your best friends.
“Complicated?! He literall-” Luke started but was cut off by Jack walking in the room looking mildly confused and a bit exasperated.
“Hey hey! Let’s not harass Y/n right when she wakes up.”
Quinn laughed and stood up, clapping Jack on the back. “Look, lover boy, we're just helping her process the last decade of weird repressed feelings the two of you have. She had no idea how obvious you were being.”
Jack turned pink, giving you an embarrassed smile as he rubbed the back of his neck. “I wasn’t that obvious.” he mumbled, but you could see a hint of vulnerability in his eyes.
You stepped forward, reaching for his hand. “Actually you might have been, and I…I might’ve been really bad at picking up the hints.” You laughed softly, squeezing his hand, feeling the warmth of his palm on yours.
“Finally!” Quinn groaned out, Luke flopping himself back into the bed.
“Now we don’t have to watch you guys be grossly oblivious to each other anymore.”
Jack rolled his eyes slightly, keeping his gaze on you, a gentle smile on his face. “You wanna go for this?”
“Absolutely.” You nodded, heart pounding with happiness. Jack pulled you into his arms, planting a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Good. Because I wasn’t planning on letting go anytime soon.”
Luke groaned loudly from the bed, interrupting the moment. “You guys are disgusting. Breakfast is getting cold.” You and Jack let out a subtle laugh before walking to the kitchen, hand in hand.

Headcannons for a Tav who exhausted after a day of staying home with the kids
(If you guys like these I'd like to make a second one with Wyll, Karlach, Zevlor, and Rolan.)
AN- Happy Birthday to me! I am highly intoxicated while posting this so sorry if it sucks ASS.
Minthara
-”My dear, why are our children making so much noise? I cannot hear myself think.”
-Finds you in absolute shambles over two unruly toddlers, one is crying because you gave her what he asked for and the other is practically hanging from the curtains.
-”In Menzoberranzan, a mother kills children who are bad, but I have grown quite fond of them and would hate for our children to meet an untimely demise at the end of a silver sword.”
-Though you want to chide Minthara for threatening to kill the kids as a punishment it works, but you’ll definitely have to talk about it with her later
Gale
-“Why are you crying, are you alright, is she alright?” *Gale panic*
-Finds you in bed crying because of some awful postpartum.
-”My mother has been wanting to see her, I’ll bring her over there for a bit. You rest, you bathe, I’ll bring home food. I’ve got her. I’ve got you.”
-Gale bundles her up and makes sure you have everything that you need before he goes. When he comes back, he brings too many gifts from his mother and food for you. And of course, your favorite sweet treat.
Astarion
-“Are there gremishkas loose in our home?”
-Astarion wakes from trance around sundown to find you crying over a fussy teething dhampir and an equally whiny toddler who didn’t have a nap.
-”Do you think we should go to the night market, little one? And I think your baby brother would also appreciate the night air as well” *Astarion with a baby bundled to his chest (with a sling) so he can always have a free hand in my guilty pleasure*
-When he comes back with both kids settled, he puts you to bed to rub your feet and tell you how much he appreciates you creating two miracles after he’s had such a miserable life.
Shadowheart
-”Come on boys, you can help mummy on the farm this afternoon.”
-Shadowheart wasn’t blind to your snippy tone with her and she also wasn’t blind to the problem either. 2 over ecstatic boys who were just over the moon that school was out for the summer.
-”Tomorrow you all can help me tend to the plants and animals all day. Does that sound fun?”
-Shadowheart will smother you in kisses that night after you’re finally a little less overstimulated, if you ask maybe she’ll do some of those Sharran torture tactics on you after the boys are tucked in of course.
Halsin
-”They are children, my heart. They are untamed beasts.”
-Halsin will laugh and kiss your forehead as if you’re the silliest of geese, but he’ll still take out all of the adopted children, just to give you a much needed break.
-The kids come back with every rock, flower, and stick that made them think of you. Each one of them telling you of the adventures daddy Halsin had taken them on that day.
-”It is my job as your husband to care for the children as well, my heart. Just tell me if you need a break.”
Lae’zel
-“Xan, your mother is the liberator of our people and you’re treating her like any common istik.”
- Lae’zel takes the overzealous boy out to run him through some drills. When he comes back inside he’s tired and remembers why you’re his favorite parent.
-”I told him we don’t make women cry. Especially our mothers and then I made him do twenty sword swings.”
-Xan doesn’t like swords so he will definitely not be acting a fool like that again.
-*I wasn’t really sure what to do with Lae’zel because I didn’t raise the egg with her. We did hot lesbian gith and bard stuff And by stuff, I mean fighting Vlaakith’s warriors.

♡- Let Me Know [I]
You had finished with caretaking the children of the village a little earlier than expected, saying your goodbyes and grabbing your belongings. You walked with a swift pace towards the ends of the village by the reefs, knowing your siblings and the sully family was there.
You had felt a little guilty honestly, you promised them last night that you would be there for the entirety of their training just to leave because you had business to attend to for the people in your village. You can vividly remember the sadness on little Tuk's face when you told her, but she immediately cheered up when you told her you'd return as soon as possible.
Of course, her eldest brother had the same reaction as her, quickly to whisper in your ear 'I'll see you soon, don't keep me waiting long' before you had left, you smiled to yourself softly placing your hand on your ear. Before shaking your head and brushing off the feeling as you had just made your way to them.
"Hey guys" you said, waving to everyone in the water as you placed your bag down near your sisters, by the docks. Everyone else said their hellos and waved back at you now coming closer to the shore.
"Y/n! Y/n!" Tuk shouted, now letting go of her brothers hold and rushing towards you and leaping into your now open arms for a hug. You laughed as she hugged you, her soaking wet body now wetting yours, she laughed back.
You soon let go of her as she did you, rambling about everything she had done and what they were going to do now, riding 'water ikrans', making you chuckle slightly correcting her terms as it was called an 'ilu'. She only nodded and you pointed to her brother, who was now standing right behind her.
"I'm sorry for her outburst, she's been talking about you since you left" Neteyam spoke, shaking his head as Tuk turned around to hug him, in one swift movement he picked her up. You only smiled at the two saying it was alright, and you didn't mind it, before you two could share a conversation everyone else came along.
Your brother had stayed back into the water, swimming in the shallow area while your sister was telling you who would split up with who to teach the sully children how to ride the ilu's. He soon motioned for everyone to follow him back into the water, which they soon did. Roxto would be helping Kiri, Ao'nong would be helping Tuk, she would be helping Lo'ak, which would leave you with Neteyam.
"Did you make the pairings? It sounds like you just want to hang out with Lo'ak. I've seen you two interact, you always act so bubbly around him." You said, nudging her arm as you both turned around making your way to the shore, she only smiled trying to hide her tinted face as she blushed.
"Stop it isn't like that, we're just friends, I didn't have a choice anyways, Neteyam had already said he wanted you to be the one to help him." she spoke softly, looking at your surprised expression, stopping dead in your tracks and winking at you as she went into the water to go to Lo'ak, leaving you there with your eyes wide.
You looked over to see Neteyam in the water, already looking at you. You shut your eyes and took a deep breath before making your way over to him, quickly tying your long curly hair in a ponytail and opening your eyes again.
As you made your way into the water and walked towards Neteyam, who looked like a patient child waiting on you, you began to click your tongue and whistle calling out to your ilu. Quickly after, your ilu appeared in front of you, cooing, you pet it with a smile while you called out its name and came closer to Neteyam.
"Neteyam, this is Nima, my ilu and Nima this is Neteyam. You can climb on top of her but be gentle please. Ilu's are gentle creatures, but also very sensitive, if you feel her being difficult just let her go." You spoke, not even moving your head to look up at him, keeping your eyes on Nima.
He only thanked you and shortly climbed atop her without any effort, you held out the point of where he had to make tsaheylu. As his fingers grazed yours to grab the point you looked up at him, he smiled seeing your gaze and quickly made tsaheylu with your ilu.
"Just try to ride around for a small distance at first, then we'll practice farther, let's start with small circles." You said, whipping your head away from his gaze and motioning around you, he frowned for a while and hummed in response, directing Nima in the way he wanted.
The entire time you made sure to not look Neteyam in the eyes, just watching his figure or your ilu spin around you slowly. Although last night was flattering it was also getting dangerous, whatever tension or feelings that were beginning to grow between you two, it needed to die down and quickly.
You're a very busy young woman, you're aiding the woman and children in the clan, along with taking studies and practices with your mother to become the future tsahik. Not even mentioning how you're helping your younger brother strengthen his mind to become the future olo'eyktan of your people as he wasn't mature enough now.
Now was possibly the worst time for any sort of romantic relations to appear so abruptly, especially from a foreign family. Not even physically, but mentally and emotionally, you didn't see yourself prepared for something that needed so much dedication and work when you had barely placed any onto yourself.
You were used to compliments and being approached by several men within the village attempting to court you, but as quick as they confessed you were even quicker to reject them.
It was never as difficult as it is now to reject someone hinting towards you, so what is it about Neteyam that's making you draw closer to him than further away? The same idea kept you tossing for a while last night before finally falling asleep.
There was definitely something about him that was different, the way he looked at you in a way you still couldn't understand. Maybe in a sense that he wanted you to look at him or try to read him the way he did for you. The way he spoke to you with such grace and care, how he was with you, and even how he spoke of you when you weren't even around.
He was a strange one, that you could definitely agree with. Even so you technically can't even set him aside, as it's now your duty to welcome them to your home, and he hadn't actually said he likes you or attempted to court you. All you can do is stay and wait for the right moment to cancel all of it and cause a distance between you, seemed easy enough.
You were quickly snapped out of your thoughts when you realized you hadn't seen Neteyam make another lap infront of you. You turned around to see him on top of your ilu, zoned out as his eyes were placed on your back.
"Why did you stop?" You asked softly, slowly making your way over to him, assuming something was wrong with either him or Nima, he raised a brow motioning towards your back.
"What happened to your back?" He asked out of curiosity, you stood for a quick second, paused at his question, then remembered the large scar you had on your back. You frowned slightly, removing the band you had in your hair to let your hair down, covering your scar as you reached over your shoulder touching it.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked" he said sternly, he quickly caught onto your act, stopping his tsaheylu from Nima and coming down by your side and placing his hands on your shoulders. You only shook your head, now fixing your hair behind your ears so they were away from your face.
"It's not your fault, you didn't know" you said quietly, backing away from him slightly as he let go of your shoulders. Before he was able to say anything else you quickly changed the subject, congratulating him as he was now able to ride an ilu, telling him to continue his practices. You swam your way over to your brother, telling him to keep an eye on everyone as you were to return.
⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅
Soon after your return you had found everyone had finished for the day, going their own ways, which you soon did with your little sister. You sat with the children of the village making song cords and jewelry from shells you had found this morning with them. Smiling as you saw Tuk and Riti sitting side by side, babbling too each other as they braided, smiling to yourself before being interrupted by Roxto.
He came in running, and stopped, currently hunched over trying to catch his breath, nearly startling you and the others half to death. You looked over to your friends, signaling to them you'd return, knowing Roxto of all people would only be here if something serious had occurred.
Soon after he caught his breath, one of the children handed him a cup of water to drink out of, he thanked them as you smiled, patting them on the head. Roxto pulled you and Tsireya near him, motioning to step aside so he could speak to you both. You did as such, unaware that both Riti and Tuk had followed behind the two of you as Roxto spoke.
"I have good news and bad news, which one do you want to hear first" he said with an awkward smile trying to lighten the mood. You glared at him as you all walked, turning to the side and catching a quick glance at the two children trailing behind you both. You picked up Riti, holding her to your side as you held Tuk's hand with your free one. Tsireya asked for the good news first, to which Roxto nodded.
"The tulkun are to return soon! We will be reunited along our brothers and sisters soon" he said pointing up as if saying something you hadn't already known. You rolled your eyes, walking a little slower now so Tuk could keep up with your pace. "The bad news is that a fight broke out between the sully children and Ao'nung and his friends, now everyone is kind of in trouble." He spoke rapidly, barely giving you and Tsireya time to process what had just come out his mouth.
"What?!" You both spoke in unison, honestly surprised neither of the children had heard what Roxto had said, both in their own worlds. You remained wide eyed while your sisters mouth remained agape, he only nodded, saying that all of the boys were now within your family's hut as your father had said 'Your sister will deal with you and your friends' to Ao'nung.
If you weren't holding Riti or holding Tuk's hand you would've face palmed by now for sure. You leave everyone alone for not even a few hours and trouble is striking already? The new family had barely been here a week and trouble was already spewing, this was ridiculous.
You took a deep breath arriving towards the entrance of your hut, sighing as you saw the boys all sitting around, none of them speaking to the other. You let go of Tuk's hand and placed Riti down, bending down towards their eye level and telling them to stay at the entrance where they would be seen to play. Thankfully both of them were very obedient children and only nodded and walked off hand in hand.
You made your way over to the boys, Roxto and Tsireya standing behind you. They all began to stand as you got in a good look at their faces, everyone was injured. Your brother and his friends seeming more bruised than the two sully brothers, they must be good fighters, 2 against 3-4 is impressive.
You took your time with each of them, scanning their faces and moving their heads from side to side to scan their entirety for bruises or cuts. As you made your way to Neteyam you looked him in the eyes, placing your finger underneath his chin, then grabbing it and turning his head to the side, then the other. His breath hitched and he looked down in dissapointment, unable to meet anymore of your gaze, you only huffed and moved onto Lo'ak.
Surprisingly, he barely looked at you, he was looking behind you. You quickly let out a chuckle realizing his eyes were locked on Tsireya, who kept her distance from behind you. His injuries seemed to be the least out of the group, and soon after you finished with the boys the last in line was your brother, keeping his chest puffed out.
When you grabbed his face and began to turn it, your finger made its way to a bruise on the side of his face. You pressed down on it causing him to wince in pain, backing away from you and keeping his hand over it, attempting to protect it.
"Stop causing problems, or I'll be the next one to add more bruises to your skin" you spoke softly, pointing at him. He nodded and stood back up straight, you then pointed to all of the boys, saying that phrase refers to all of them, they all nodded or hummed in agreeance.
"You two, go back to your kelku, I'm sure your parents are waiting for you." [home] You spoke, pointing to the two sully boys in annoyance and pointed towards the entrance. Before they could even move you felt two hands wrap around your legs from behind.
"What happened to your face!! Ew!!" Riti shouted, pointing at all of the boys, you quickly turned around, grabbing Riti by her arm and moving her elsewhere. The boys all looked at one another in confusion, then back at you and Riti.
"Riti, I told you to stay outside with Tuk, where is she?" You spoke, Riti only giggled and pointed behind you, to where you heard a small voice from behind you from the entrance of your hut saying 'boo!' knowing it was Tuk.
Your serious demeanor soon became soft as you laughed at the two, as Tuk came from behind you and high-foured Riti, both girls laughing. You shook your head at them both, standing up to your full height and extending your hands out to them both, each of them taking a hand.
"C'mon girls, let's go back to the others in the village, these guys are being mean, they got into a fight so now they're in trouble." You said, glaring at the boys and looking back at the two girls, who kept pointing at the boys and sharing their 'ooo's' as you exited with them. But not before seeing their ears pin flat against their heads as they blushed faintly out of embarrassment.
As you made your way back to the small pond where the children of the village stayed under your care you passed by Roxto and Tsireya, who seemed to be in deep conversation with Kiri. You only smiled to them and continued walking, now becoming lost in thought.
You needed to talk to Neteyam, maybe as soon as possible to find out exactly what the relationship between you two was. The subtle glances you two had shared earlier said a lot, but not enough to give you a genuine answer.
The way he looked at you with sadness and remorse meant something, that's the first time he's ever diverted his gaze from yours. You could tell from his look and body language that he wasn't at fault for the fight, but there still could've been a better resolution towards their problems.
Well, not really, sometimes your brother and his friends needed a good scolding or beating, thankfully they had finally gotten it. You wondered if Neteyam had spoken to anyone else about you in private, more or so how he feels about you. Maybe just maybe with the luck of Eywa you'd find that person, or him at the right time to speak about it.
⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ⋅˚₊‧ ଳ ‧₊˚ ⋅
You were now at a small campfire with majority of your friends, none of the boys to be seen other an A'tan, who sat beside Kiri and his younger sister Riti. Riti and Tuk were now drawing in the sand while giggling to one another as you, your sister, A'tan, and Kiri were talking about the fight that had happened, leaving you to shake your head.
"I'm sorry for the problems my brother causes, he's so immature and stupid" you said softly to Kiri, who only shook her head and laughed. Apparently, she didn't care for what had happened prior, as the fight was amusing enough to her where she laughed so hard, she cried. A'tan sat with his legs stretched out as he laughed, repeating the phrase of picturing Ao'nung falling to the ground just to pin Lo'ak down. You smiled, looking over to Tsireya and seeing her facial expression seeming as if she was in pain, wincing at the thought.
You had all agreed that the entire situation was unexpected, but amusing. Now wondering where all of the boys were, and what their punishments have been, or how severe they wer-
"Guys!! Guys!!" You heard a familiar voice shout from afar, running towards you snapping you out of your thoughts. All of you quickly turned your heads towards the voice only to see Roxto, running towards you all.
"You're getting in a lot of cardio today" Tsireya joked, earning a snicker from you. Roxto paused, catching his breath as he came up to you, placing his hands on his knees then standing straight.
'Really bad news, you need to come with me, now.' He signed, still attempting to catch his breath, nodding as you raised a brow and signed back in return if it had to do with the boys. Chills ran down your spine as you looked up at the night sky, quickly standing up.
"Stay with the children, both of you. We'll return soon enough." You said, pointing at Tsireya and A'tan, motioning for Kiri to follow along with you. You began to walk back towards the main docs of the reefs, as Roxto began explaining that's where everyone was as something terrible had happened.
The more you heard from him the sicker you felt, this was horrible truly. How could Lo'ak end up outside of the reef in the middle of the ocean unsupervised? No one was hunting especially not out this late in the night, he had only just gotten here with his family.
"And apparently, Ao'nung let him out there, as a way to get revenge and prank him after the f-"
"What." You spoke, cutting Roxto off, your heart dropping hearing his words as you stood in the sand. Your eyes hung wide as you looked at him in disbelief, there's no way.
Your brother, your stupid, selfish, childish, ignorant brother led Lo'ak out into the reefs? Alone? No one has heard or seen of him since early afternoon? Your head began to spin, and your heart pounded hard, whatever Roxto was saying now was going in one ear and out the other.
He placed his hands on your shoulders, speaking to you, but you couldn't hear him, drowning in your own thoughts. Without thought you removed his hands from your shoulders, pushing him off as you now darted straight for the docks, being pushed by nothing but adrenaline and fear.
The distance wasn't far between the length you had walked and the docks, which you made it too in short time, pushing past the crowd and going towards the front. As you were there you scanned for the waters and edge of the doc until you saw Lo'ak, who was being checked by his mother. Without thought you rushed over to him, not even realizing Neteyam was behind you, watching his brother's movements, waiting for the right time to approach him.
"Lo'ak!" You shouted, quickly grabbing his face and examining his body for injuries, repeatedly asking if he was alright or if he was injured. As he was barely able to scramble an answer out you quickly turned him around, checking his back for any scars or injuries similar to yours.
You exhaled in relief to see nothing on his back as he turned back around, you kept your hands on his shoulders. Your eyes were squeezed tight, you drew in a quick breath before letting him go, placing your hands over your eyes, attempting to not cry.
Why did this have to happen? After everything you went through in those dangerous waters years ago, it all had to come back within an instant to haunt you. You could never catch a break, and it was killing you, as exciting and fun your morning was you never expected your night to turn out this way.
You backed away from Lo'ak, making your way over to Ao'nung, before he, or your parents were able to open their mouths, you shoved him, to which he held his ground.
"Is your head just empty, or are you so blinded by getting your way that you didn't realize you could've killed someone today?!" You shouted, tears streaming down your face as you spoke, unable to even look him in his eyes.
"You know what lurks out in those waters, you know of what happens to those that go there! They either escape just barely, or they don't!! You know because of what happened to me!" You shouted again, now shoving him harder, feeling a strong arm from behind attempt to pull you back.
You only stood your ground, wiping your tears and looking up at your brother, seeing pure sorrow and regret in his eyes as he looked back at you. Then placing his head down in shame, unable to look at you, his eyes tearing up as well.
"I'm sorry tsmuke, I never expected that he would've encountered with the aku-" [sister]
You quickly cut him off, slapping him, hard. Quickly brushing off your father's arm that was holding you back. Your previous sadness and fear now turning into rage, you stood looking at him and clenching your fist as your palm burned slightly.
"Your apology won't take back what the pxazangs did to me." [akulas] You said with a snarl, your father quickly pulled you two apart from one another, shouting at you and pulling you away. You didn't fight him, you knew better than to try, you only turned your shoulder to see your brother with his head still held down as he kept a hand on his cheek from where you had slapped him.
You soon heard Lo'ak speaking and light chatter begin to form as you walked by, but you didn't pay attention. Continuing to walk as you kept your hands at your sides, bawling them both into fists, soon making eye-contact with Neteyam, who looked at you with such sadness. You only returned his look with a cold gaze, then meeting the floor as you left the docks, passing by Kiri who had walked up behind Neteyam and Roxto, who was outside.
You ignored his pleas and attempts to cheer your mood, seeing your sad and twisted face, walking towards the place of where the family had trained this morning. You called for Nima, who came within seconds, before climbing upon her, making tsaheylu and submerging underneath the dark blue sea. You only peeked over your shoulder, feeling the waters drain your eyes of any tears you had left to fall, making sure you weren't followed, before diverting your gaze back ahead of you.
You looked ahead and directed your ilu to a secluded part of the reefs, a large rock caved in is where you rested. Nothing had ever rested or grown in or around it, which is what first caught your attention when you had first seen it. Overtime it became a safe haven for you, you'd had it decorated sweetly on the inside, as it was protected within by features of the land and a massive air bubble, allowing you to remain there as long as you wanted.
Soon after sending your ilu off, you turned back to your little home, a frown pasted on your face. You soon walked over to the large woven blankets you'd piled in the corner, calling it you 'bed', sitting atop it. You sat and huddled your knees towards your chest, resting your forehead on them as you began to tear up, lost in thought.
Your heart felt flooded with shame and betrayal, upset with yourself and the entire world. You didn't like how you sprung out without thought, or the fact you had hurt your brother. You didn't like the fact your father pulled you back and silenced you when you attempted to express what you had gone through. You didn't like how the clan exchanged strange glances at you, not after slapping your brother, but after mentioning something had happened to you out in the waters.
It had felt as if the entire world had forgotten of you and what you'd gone through, or how you still struggle with it today. Barely being able to keep yourself together you break down into sobs, loud ones. The best part about being in a part of the ocean no one knows about is that no one will hear you, and your tears will go back to the ocean.
Responsibilities within your family were too great to bear, you were needed for everything. Whether to help out anyone within or outside of the family or burying your build of emotions in order to help others with theirs, it was too much. You hadn't meant to do or say any of the things you did, and you hadn't meant to be so vile or selfish, but maybe just this once it wouldn't hurt to be selfish.
Just this once, you needed time to yourself, real time. Not taking after others or being a rag used to clean everything up and left out to dry. The pain of being overlooked was too much, and the pain of your past trauma or greatest insecurity still finding its way to haunt you was even worse.
No matter how hard you thought you could try or how much work you'd bury yourself underneath, problems you refuse to deal with will always make their way back to you.
