my life is a running gag with some evil god controlling it i was listening to the smiths on the bus (as I do because I'm melancholy we have been over this) and this gorgeous human being sits down next to me and we are listening to the exact same song and I keep giving him the side eye because his eyelashes are at least an inch long and he's got long curly black hair and a leather jacket and hes looking back at me and we keep shooting side eye glances and browsing the smiths catalogue in classic meet-cute fashion. then we got off at the same stop and I'm all hopeful he will say something I even start walking beside him then he turns and walks off and I stand there dismayed and despressed. I stop in front of the glass door to my building and watch him in the glass hoping he'll turn back but he doesn't and then I trip over literally nothing and shame myself
