How tall is Les compared to the average Funk Troll?

He's pretty short, but not so short that there aren't some adult funk trolls as tall as him.

I draw his size pretty inconsistently but this is about the height difference between Les, Hed and Ish (their dad), with Hed and Ish both being pretty average height for their genres.

But since Les is shaped more like a scaled up rock troll than a funk troll, his shoulder height is about the same as with regular funk trolls, it's just his short neck that makes him lose those extra centimeters. His strange scaled up body type also makes his legs and arms disproportionately large and big-boned, so he's heavier and stronger than trolls his height (e.g. Flea, they're about the same height).

ok so- JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY... What happened to the witches? Like- sorry if you've already said it and I didn't know or something but I'm just- Do they no longer exist??? I mean, I feel like they'd have actually done something by now

as far as I'm aware the beast ancients soul jams are somewhat still just half the original beasts soul jams, only now it's corrupted once again.

If this is the case, what'spreventing the witches from sealing them away too, if not re-sealing the original beasts along with them? it's fairly easy to assume it would also be simple to do so since they were able to seal the first beasts away at full power

If this does end up happening, what do the witches do? Do they give up on making ancients altogether with the thought it might be a fruitless endeavor? Or do they decide to try once again?

If they do try again, who would be the new ancients and what would their virtues be?

You’d think the witches WOULD do something by now but alas, in BAAU it is highly likely that the gods have abandoned their creations. Their soul jams have corrupted once again and they were like “okay well they can figure it out themselves. we tried”

all to say, I dont want the witches to come in and save the day lmao, BAAU is about cookies saving the world and not calling upon the creators to seal everyone in a magical tree again! That would be too easy.

So, to answer your question, yeah they’re basically absent. There’s little to no witch involvement with the beasts because bringing in the witches = deus ex machina. The power is in the cookies who make themselves heroes, who don’t need to be chosen ones to make a difference and protect their loved ones. No new ancients since there’ll be no single cure-all for everyone’s problems (the au is like a commentary on how those things don’t exist or have the potential to themselves be abused/corrupted).

In BAAU, there’s no praying to higher powers for salvation. There’s only cookies taking up arms and killing their gods 🦅

Something that has been on my mind is what Kaz says to Nina at the end of Crooked Kingdom about Matthias's share of their money. He offers Nina that share, and then says, "I know it doesn't matter".

Kaz, who has spent this entire series insisting to the others that kruge means retribution, safety, success, comfort, and thus is the driving factor in his life, is sort of accidentally revealing how little he believes it. He knows Nina disapproves of his purported obsession with profit and is not motivated by money, and he also knows from personal experience that no matter how much he insists otherwise, having money will not fix what has happened to you. Maybe it will kind of buy you retribution or a degree of safety, but it will never bring back who you lost - it's too late for that. Kruge is a shitty consolation prize, and Kaz knows it. This is the only time he explicitly lets it on to the others - as emotionally constipated as he might act, he knows Nina's pain and knows that even suggesting that money would in any way fix it would be an insult.
