My precure color opinions because why not. Don't read if you think you'll be upset reading different opinions, i just wanna put this out there haha😭:
Summer is white, let her be white (this is the one i'm the most passionate about). I didn't even KNOW there was a debate on this until this year, what in the world. None of that rainbow or pink nonsense. I don't even know why she would be classified as rainbow officially. Especially when the color they TRY to force her into is pink (for example saying today's color is pink before the outro). I heard she was created to be white but i don't know the source of that so that might be wrong
i agree with Finale being golden, she gets to be golden as a treat <3. She is not purple, y'all are just mean, compare her to actual purple cures. A golden theme really suits her in my opinion, it's beautiful and elegant like her. There should be more golden cures that have some some golden accents imo :D
Parfait is green to me with rainbow sub-color, i KNOW it makes no sense and she is just a rainbow cure, but that's what she is in my brain somehow acejcdksvd
Cosmo is blue with rainbow sub-color, but SHOULD have been rainbow. Maybe with blue sub-color bc it Does with the team arrangement (also should have had her cat form in cure form but that's beside the point). I heard they WANTED to make her rainbow but weren't allowed?! Unsure about that too though
i haven't seen hugtto yet but ma cherie literally looks so pink acejcdjd. You're red? Whatever you say, girl, you can be anything you wanna be, who am i to tell you otherwise <3
Milky as green is fine, but i see why people want turquoise to just be its own category. I think her color shouldn't look different though, she looks great
similair for Lillian, except that i've seen some people giving her a wonderful light green and she would look gorgeous!
Nyammy can be a blue cure if she wants <3. Especially next to Lillian, it's obvious how white is their base color and they define themselves via the accents. But also she is literally the whitest cure ever made, let alone the whitest blue cure wcejev
Felice is fine as green cure and she's beautiful
there should be more pink non-leaders like Butterfly
bring back black as cure color. Also brown and grey would be gorgeous <3
i actually prefer when cures look kinda colorful and they AREN'T monotone. The main color is really more about the vibe in my opinion, like with Finale and Nyammy haha!
This is all light-hearted, just thought it would be fun to post these bc everyone has Some precure color opinions xD! 🙌 It's so funny how color discourse is such a serious topic in precure fandom CSJDVEK
If anyone wants to share their own opinions, you can tell but please only if it's in good faith 🙏

Felice Week Poll: Who should be Felice’s S4 Love Interest?
Posted for YR characters month, hosted by @youngroyals-events.
This is part analysis, part poll.
I have contradictory emotions about the way Felice’s brushes with romantic relationships are handled in Young Royals.
On one hand, I like that Felice’s storyline does so much to center friendships, especially her friendship with Sara. I’m aromantic, so these kinds of stories that privilege friendship matter to me, especially in stories where there’s a heavy emphasis on a romantic plot.
On the other hand, we never see Felice in a fulfilling romantic and/or sexual relationship. Neither August nor Wilhelm treats her 100% great, and we are informed that many other boys have crushes on her, but we never get to see her enjoy casual moments of flirtation or fun.
Unfortunately, these writing choices don’t exist in a vacuum, and also I can’t help noticing that Felice’s story falls into a broader trend of Black characters frequently being unlucky or unchosen in romance. Martha Jones and Bonnie Bennet are other characters who are emblematic of this trend, but the more you look, the more you see it all over.
I highly recommend watching Princess Weekes’s videos where she discusses this trend in more depth with examples from lots of different TV shows. She does an especially good job of addressing how people will say “but isn’t it empowering for a female character to be strong on her own, without a romance?” For white female characters, who are often sheltered and framed as delicate by the patriarchy, forgoing a romance is often empowering. On the other hand… for Black female characters, it’s different. Black women and girls are often discouraged from showing vulnerability or softness and often end up as the unlucky leg of a love triangle, so it’s a departure from the status quo to actually have Black female meaningfully engage in an onscreen romance!
Which is why, in some parallel universe where YR gets a season 4—or at least in more fanfics centered on Felice’s POV and set in the future—I’d love to see her get to have a storyline where she falls in love with someone and they love her back in return. Big swoony teen drama first love stuff, like we get to see Simon have with Wilhelm and Sara have with August. Maybe with a little less in the way of princely drama, but I think you know what I mean. It doesn’t have to be a love story where we assume the relationship lasts forever, and it doesn’t have to undermine Felice’s friendships. Simon getting together with Wilhelm doesn’t undermine his friendships, after all, and Sara and August aren’t together at the end of the series. The point is it should be significant. Let Felice feel the big feelings! Let someone else also feel them back for her!
(I’m also in favor of Felice having an aro or ace storyline as long as it is explicitly named as such, although that isn’t the focus of this post. It is the focus of my fic Doubles Over Couples though.)
So with all that established, I now ask you…
I left off options where Felice would be breaking up an existing ship (wilmon or stedrika) or dating a character we assume to be gay (Nils or Marcus, who both I guess could be bi, you never know.) But you know what? If that’s your jam, go ahead and tell me in the tags. I hold nothing sacred after all.
You can also tell me why you chose the character you chose in your tags. Maybe you have an idea for giving a character a lot of development and taking their arc in a new direction. (Like, idk, why not envision a story about Felice and Alexander?) If you do, I’d love for you to share it and tell me the arc you have in mind.
Please reblog the poll for reach! This should be fun.

Do you have any characters you feel aren't talked about enough? Either narratively or irl, for me Felicity will always be "that one character with the most interesting influence on the story that just gets sidelined in favor of other things"
oh there are plenty!! felicity is a really good example, though it think it is partially by design that she is wiped so cleanly from the games memory. she only ever really existed to a handful of people, her narrative purpose is a warning sign that goes ignored. (wilhelm, claptrap, gladstone, all people who were involved in her death eventually becoming just as expendable to jack and hyperion.) however i DO think that her death would have stuck with aurelia specifically and if the writers had any care for her character it would have changed how she acted in BL3. and from a fandom sense absolutely yes she needs more attention. i need to draw her myself one of these days. and i feel pretty much every BL1 character would be very popular if introduced today, or if they had lived past the first game. outside of that, helena pierce, steele, and baron flynt had potential to be very important to the surviving cast and its not really seen through. uhmm who else. the fact that wilhelm isnt more popular is a little bizarre to me seeing as how he’s so heavily attached to hyperion. i think he was underutilized by the games as well, sacrificing him for the plot in a lackluster way and not really giving him anything to stand out against the other VHs in TPS. he is VERY interesting to me though, and had the potential to be very threatening. sir hammerlock is unironically one of the best characters in the series and he has such a lasting presence between BL2 and 3 and there has been almost complete radio silence on the fandom's end. he is very unique to me! and very charming, and i wish that was felt more by the rest of the fandom at large. he was the perfect introduction to BL2. story wise i think he sits very comfortably, and as far as borderlands characters go, he gets more attention than most. but i am starving for more fan content. i think im cheating a little bit by putting angel on this list but i genuinely do think she should have been mourned properly by the characters (and by the game, from a meta standpoint). shes popular enough as it is within the fandom, but i dont really feel her impact as much as i would like within the games themselves. her being mentioned in BL3 and FFS dont really count to me, mainly because they seem more like misery baiting than properly addressing and mourning her circumstances. she just gets flattened down to this sad, dead little girl. and she was more than that! i guess my biggest issue is that its hard to make narrative connections. borderlands has kind of an object permanence issue with its characters when theyre not on screen.

not gonna put this on the post itself bc that feels rude and i think this is maybe an unpopular opinion but actually i don’t feel like maddie’s ending was bad or wrong in any way! it felt like a happy ending for her, whether or not it was considered a happy ending for the audience.
the thing is, is maddie is the middle ground. she cares about felice and her feelings, and she agrees with some of felice’s criticisms about the school (verbally or through her actions), but she never truly goes all the way. she reassures stella and fredrika that if the school was going to close because of what felice said, it would have already, but she doesn’t reassure felice that she was allowed to say whatever she needed to say. in a lot of the conflicts between felice and stella and fredrika, maddie is a silent bystander or a mediator. she is just as hard for felice to be honest with as stella and fredrika. she doesn’t take a side. stella and fredrika want everything to remain as it was—they want to uphold the status quo and keep their traditions. felice sees the problems with this, and tells the truth, which brings the whole thing down. maddie sees the problems, but doesn’t actually seem to care about changing them in a significant way. and that’s why she doesn’t get to get her “happy ending” at the end of the season (although again i do think she was happy with her ending! this was happy for her!).
i love maddie! a lot! i think she’s certainly more likeable than stella and fredrika and much less classist. i would have liked to see her get more screen time, and if she had, that might have changed my position on her ending, but as it is, i think it feels like the right choice for her and her character. with the open-endedness, i think she and felice will remain friends in the future, and things might happen that we don’t get to see, but that doesn’t need to be shown on screen.

Yes Hello to all my fellow Miss Lemon fans out there:
If you love her as much as I do, then 6.2 Hickory Dickory Dock is the episode for you
Now let us all just take a moment out of our busy day to bask in her glory:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That coat with those hats?? ICONIC she has such a flawless style
and this little scene where she's like 'this is just a quirk of Mr. Poirot's, don't worry about it' fellas help she's so cute
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also HELP lads she took Poirot's comment about Inspector Japp's 'healthy appetite' way too literally!! LEMON SOLE! she's so funny aagh
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also she looks really damn good in burgundy wow
Tumblr media
Also you know I hate the trope where guys tell ladies to take their glasses off and let their hair flow in the wind because they'd somehow be 'sexier' or whatever. That is just simply not true. Case in point: Look at how cute Miss Lemon is in her glasses!!
Tumblr media
Just. Everyone just. Look at my favourite girl. Look at her!!! Her filing system is perfect! Her filing system could kick your ass!!!
Tumblr media
#Okay. don't kill me. but I'm gonna say it.#She has red/auburn hair. Which we all know is a weakness of Hastings'.#so like. Why didn't the showrunners kinda push them together more?#like in the books Miss Lemon was supposed to be 'impossibly ugly' or whatever the quote was#but show!Felicity is cute and adorable and beautiful and lovely and flawless and okay sorry I'll stop. but anyway. My point is#they get this absolute gorgeous cutie to play Miss Lemon and made her sorta exactly Hastings' type and then they don't do anything with it?#No implications like we get with him and Poirot? No touching or preening or lingering glances or smiles?#Sure in the Adventure of the Italian Nobleman Hastings legit punches a guy in the face for her#but she's not there to see it!#and we sorta get a whumpy scene in Double Clue where she's tending to his wounds with iodine so they could have played that up#esp. if they were really trying to no homo everything.#but they didn't. like. he barely looks at her in that scene.#And maybe they were just trying to stay truer to the source material but like. They still could have *implied* a great deal#and they didn't. IDK it was just. an interesting choice is all#they certainly imply a lot of things about him and Poirot (for which I owe them my life LOL) so it probably would have been super easy to d#maybe they were afraid of pissing off the fans? idk#or maybe those Hastings/Poirot implications were a simple result of the exceptional acting chemistry b/w David Suchet and Hugh Fraser#which of course fits into the canon of Poirot having the absolute biggest soft spot for Captain Arthur Hastings that is humanly possible#ANYWAY I LOVE YOU MISS LEMON YOU ARE MY QUEEN#and like okay I guess I can see how Pauline Moran isn't '''''''conventionally attractive''''''' or anything#but given the right storyline I could see Hastings being down bad for her version of Felicity Lemon#but maybe that's just because *I'm* down bad for her LOL#Poirot series#Poirot#Felicity Lemon#Miss Lemon#back on my screencapping bullshit#also if you made it through all of these tags bless u what a trooper you are thanks for listening to my ramblings

yr s3 spoliers
specifically thoughts about how Sara spoke about love when she was rejecting August and making up with Felice. Acknowledging her feelings for august importantly, but also putting other feelings she held above those. It might have been just the way the subtitles translated it, but I also loved how they used the word 'love/feelings' for august but also sara and Felice's friendship, and also simon. It just means so much to me when friendship and platonic love is treated as just as meaningful and important, perhaps even more so, than romantic. And then also sibling love. Like that final car had all types of love in it. And they had all been liberated from the forces which tried to restrain them. So at the end of the day, true love won. In all it's different glory. And also they all made a conscious choice to get in that car. They all chose to love, and be the people they became when loving each other.

I hate to say it, but I think Iris and Felicity only get more development, because Iris is Barry’s wife and Felicity is Oliver’s wife. Like oh the heroes’ wives should be friends type thing, so it feels like their friendship is more developed only because of their proximity to the male heroes and the male heroes’ friendship. That said, I’ll take any female friendship I can get, so I do like SmoakWest’s friendship. Also I’d love to hear your thoughts on the show overcorrecting!
Oh 100%, and even their development in s1 is because they were teasing Barricity for a bit (which ngl I thought was cute and still do!). And beyond that, it's definitely because of how closely Westallen and Olicity were intertwined, a) because of Barry & Oliver's friendship, and b) because of the Arrowverse crossovers (a and b are interrelated, but you get the idea). But it's definitely so refreshing to see, and makes me wish more attention had been paid to the other relationships (which I think would've been possible if they'd kept Linda on and actually let her get with Wally like the comics, but...idk maybe some bts stuff prevented Malese from coming back).
And thank you! There's...quite a bit of the writers shooting themselves in the foot 😅:
For one thing, the writers clearly wanted to write Killer Frost, not Caitlin, which is pretty clear if you watch exactly where Caitlin started getting less and less to do: s4 onwards...aka when the show made the decision to split her and Frost into separate people sharing a body. And especially when Frost got her own body. The only times Caitlin has stuff to do after the retcon is when it's Frost-related, s3's KF arc is the most focus she gets in the entire show (other than her arc with Zoom, but that trauma is also pretty fast-tracked), and the writers loved teasing Killer Frost throughout s1 and s2. Unfortunately, this diminished role of Caitlin, while Iris was rising to prominence due to her expanding role in the show (which is justified, argue with the wall), resulted in the two ladies being pitted against each other by the fandom frequently
Due to Caitlin's role being reduced, her friendship with Barry was also reduced. This likely also happened because the writers wanted to nip SB in the bud and stop giving the shippers ammo because Barry/Iris canon was definitively a go. Unfortunately, all this did was feed the wild conspiracy theory that SB was meant to be endgame all along, but since the writers were talked out of it, they had to "force" Westallen. This is nonsense - the writers were never going to make SB endgame, they were going to write them as a brief romance (a la Barry/Patty or Barry/Linda), which Grant nixed. But with the fandom's tendency to play telephone + the Barry & Caitlin friendship being severely reduced as seasons went on, this led to this conspiracy theory that is still alive and well in SB shipping circles.
Another example I can think of is the writers making it seem like Iris was sabotaging Barry/Linda. That is...absolutely not what happened: Linda asked for advice about Barry and why he's so bad at dating, and Iris explained that Barry had an unrequited love that wasn't reciprocated, so give him time. If she was trying to sabotage them, she would've suggested Linda move on and find someone else, or said Barry was unrequited in love with her (Iris), or something like that. But she gives Linda genuinely good advice! The writers, however, don't seem to get that, so they go on to pretend like Iris was sabotaging Barry/Linda...which honestly makes Iris look like kind of a jerk? And like she's no better than s1 Barry?
Honestly for as much as I am a firm believer that Iris loved Eddie (you don't say "screw the future" and "I decide who I love, and I love you" for just anyone, you don't beg your fiancé to stay and marry you if you don't love them, etc etc, s9 is a fever dream and never happened), I do also think the writers in 1x15 were uh...off their rocker, to put it lightly. The waterfront kiss haunts my nightmares. It's so OOC for Iris, and I hate it. Plus, it was the writers shooting themselves in the foot, because to this day, it invites so much ridiculous anti-Westhawne sentiment. Would it have been so hard to make that kiss happen when Barry and Iris were both single (like...between s1 and s2, or late in s2, or something)?? Because uh...neither of them were.
Ooh and here's another "writers shooting themselves in the foot" example that especially irks me: Mirror Iris. She's introduced as a villain, and at first I found her really compelling! Barry had an evil version, and now Iris did too...and I found her more compelling than Savitar tbh. She had a bit of a sympathetic/tragic aspect, but like...that's fine, so did Savitar, and he still died a villain.
But THEN. A few things happened.
They had Mirror Iris drop a line gloating about raping Barry (which was just subtle enough that a good chunk of fans don't realize this implication). Then, a few minutes later, they play up the sympathy angle, have Barry hold and reassure Mirror Iris, and she dies in his arms.
Let me repeat that. Mirror Iris gloats about raping Barry, and then moments later, he holds her as she dies.
And just like that, all my goodwill for her (at least the way she's presented in canon) immediately disappeared.
Now, this seems to have had no effect on the fandom. People still love her and make edits of her, they still call her "badass" (some say she's better than Iris but those people are transparent af and I ignore them)...they don't see an issue here. Largely because a lot of them don't realize what Mirror Iris was gloating about...and neither do the writers, it seems, seeing as Barry gets absolutely no room to discuss that he was raped and gloated to about it and held his rapist's dead body as she died. Honestly, a lot of people try to frame that as "aww he felt sad when she died, he loved her and knew she loved him, like Iris and Savitar in 3x23" which is uh...sure something!! Those two are not the same!! Savitar did not ever rape Iris!!
So like...in fairness. the "shooting in the foot" in that regard really affected me, not the fandom. They seem to have gotten exactly what the writers intended.
Like...yes, villains do bad things. But here's the thing: you cannot make your villain a rapist and a) make her sympathetic a few moments later and have her victim HOLD HER AS SHE DIES and b) never follow up!! There's a deleted scene that Westallen shippers love for some reason where Barry makes a joke about getting "reacquainted" with Iris the first night she's out of the mirror. Hello?? And I don't for a second believe that it was cut because the writers realized it was in poor taste. It was likely cut for time.
Way to make a super compelling concept absolutely gross, writers. You could've just furthered Mirror Iris's gaslighting by having her withhold affection from Barry, but whatever
on the note of Barry being gaslit and his 6b trauma, an honorable mention: they put a lot of focus on Barry realizing for sure that Mirror Iris is an imposter after she kicks him out, and they never bring up the fact that he did know in 6x11!! Literally the episode after it happens!! But Joe insists it's just normal growth (with a shocking lack of concern, wtf Joe) and Mirror Iris gaslights him. As she does repeatedly whenever he questions her. The writers do portray this pretty clearly when it happens, but they should've brought it up again later. Though I mostly blame fandom idiocy for this.
(and it's why anyone who says Barry wasn't traumatized by the Mirrorverse arc, or got too much focus about recovery, can eat my socks!! He did not get enough focus, and neither did Iris!! Both things can be true!!)

found my first ever american girl doll at a used doll sale for $35! had her school outfit and meet underwear/shoes, everything minus her bonnet and hair ribbon (gave her a new one, might make her a new hat.) her only issue is that her limbs are pretty floppy esp her legs, maybe one day i'll learn to restring her, but for now she can just sit nicely. i have weak hips too girl i get it. been wanting an 18 inch doll to sew and crochet for and just couldn't pass her up, from my rudimentary research i think she's the felicity that was being sold when i was a kid too
and yeah she has a little friendship bracelet from one of her old homes that i just had to leave on :')
