Building a house in the sims 4 but every room is a different pink floyd album

I built this ages ago and it just now occurred to me that I could share this here. I was inspired by a lilsimsie video where she did the same thing except each room is a different Taylor Swift album.

So I built this shell of a house with 14 rooms (+ the exterior so 15 total albums) and then randomised an album for each room and decorated accordingly. Since I wasn't planning on actually playing in the house I didn't bother with landscaping lmao. Sorry for the awkwardly wide shots, I got lazy taking screenshots.

Anyways I suggest making it into a game by going through the photos first and trying to guess which album they are before reading. Let me know if you get them all and what references you catch

As a bonus I added the interior design styles I was vaguely inspired by

Here's the downstairs and upstairs floorplans

The exterior: I cannot make this up. I got the Wall, I was cackling

Style: I wanted English cottage but not in a thatched roof way.. in a Georgian way... and then I remembered I started complaining about Georgian cottages so I added more...shape and ended up with this... eh...

The Entryway: Ummagumma

Style: a bit transitional, she's homey, she's relaxed

I started off thinking I was going to make a relatively ordinary house

Downstairs hallway: Endless River

That basegame gradient wallpaper was actually perfect. This is the second room I did and slowly started dropping any pretenses that this was going to be an ordinary house

Downstairs Powder room: Momentary Lapse of Reason

Style: coastal but in an extra silly goofy way

THIS is where I finally decided to embrace the chaos. Unfortunately I didn't get a bedroom for this album but I actually like how it turned out.

The dining room: Wish You Were Here

Style: brutalism and minimalism

I'm actually obsessed with how this one (pls notice the grate behind the table)

The kitchen: Meddle

Style: Rustic, cottage

This was difficult...I was heavily relying on the colour scheme and references to the lyrics since the album cover looks like.. well... that...

Lifetime Wish: The Perfect Garden

|Backstory:

Pandora Lovelace is a Vampire from Moonlight Falls who left to have a long-lasting Generation of children and grandchildren spread out throughout the world. Pandora didn’t want to continue the Vampire line and wanted the best for their future children and grandchildren, free of occult life state, and let them make that decision when they’re older. Despite being a Vampire, Sunset Valley was the perfect place for Pandora, she had dreams of being a gardener, not being a vampire, and having to rule a coven. She wasn’t the only one who moved to Sunset Valley, her closest Witch friend, Vivian, came along with her to support her and keep in touch. |

If you're curious on how exactly I'm doing the challenge(I am myself because I quite literally just started and have no idea if everything will work correctly) it's under the cut

I have three different points systems set up, I'm using my own, the one from the challenge, and the legacy challenge points.

When I say I'm completing everything in this challenge, I mean everything. I'm getting points for everything. My solution for some of the careers listed that have two branches and different criteria's, I'm either having twins to fulfil that or using a spouse to do so. Same thing goes for multiple lifetime wishes.

I've split Generation 1 into parts so that I'm not directly having 11 kids and doing all of the careers, I want to be able to focus on all the sims I have and give them their own storyline and completion, which is why I made my founder a Vampire because she's got lots of work to do. I randomized the order that I'm doing the careers of Generation 1 so Artist and Athlete will be the first kids(fingers crossed for both a boy and girl at the start) and I won't have Pandora have the next set of kids which is Musician and Business until I'm either halfway through Artist and Athlete or about done. I'm also using the fertility reward, so that Pandora isn't just popping out singles, give me a damn album.(I hope for future generations since I'm giving the reward to almost all the heirs, because they'll need it mainly for my sanity on baby making, that it does not do me dirty and give me more kids than I need, please sim gods)

There are two lifetime wishes for Farmer/Fisher and I want Pandora to do both and since the game let's you choose another lifetime wish, it'll be pretty easy to complete both seeing as she is a Vampire. I won't try and stay strictly to the challenge so I won't burn myself out, I just want to have fun and do the things I haven't completed in this game which I can definitely say is a lost despite me playing the Sims 3 for sooo long.

The last kid/career is going to continue on the next Generation and have however many kids I need for the next Generation. So for example, Writer is the last career I have in my lineup for Generation 1 and the next Generation is focused on World Adventures and only has two focuses, Explorer and Photographer & Collector, so we really only need two kids. But rip whoever ends the second Generation...we need 8 kids for that.. :)

I also want to try playing rotationally more rather than trying to stuff everybody into one house and drive myself insane with playing so many sims, it's not impossible for me but boy would it make me drop this challenge very fast. So when the time comes, especially for Generation 1, I'll be playing the different kids and their lives rotationally until I've done all their necessary goals.

I'll also be following the colors for each Generation because it's fun to do. Seeing as Pandora is currently a Vampire(I plan to turn her into a human and have her die of old age after her very last kid is born but she's got plenty of time), I don't want any of the kids to be Vampires unless necessary for the story I have planned for them and same thing goes for future Generations that won't always involve occults. It's also why I have a witch family also apart of this, I won't be playing them(unless necessary) they really just need to provide me kids and keep it going for all the Generations until the last one. They'll provide me the elixirs I'll need :).

Each specific career(or future kid) for each of the Generations has a set amount of kids that I thought would be reasonable for them to have, though the ones continuing the next Generation don't count because I'll need a specific amount. For example since Artist and Athlete will be the first two kids produced, Artist is only having 1 kid in their lifetime and Athlete is having 2-4 because that is just what makes sense to me and the story I'm envisioning, but I'm also playing wants based so if the heir and their spouse both want more kids then they'll have more kids.

I'm also doing the bonuses that most of the Generations have and doing them according to when it'll fit instead of trying to do them all at once! Aging will be adjusted accordingly if I feel like I'm running out of time with an heir

If you read the whole thing congratulations, I hope it made sense(feel free to ask me questions). I have two spreadsheets one with all the points sorted and the other that's keeping track of the family and all their necessary info - when it's time I'll make a family tree on Family Echo.(god rest my soul with this family tree let alone all the saves I'll be producing)

Baby Mermaid and The Sailor Boy (CC Pack for The Sims 4)

Baby Mermaid & The Sailor Boy is a toddler bedroom set that’s been in my mind (and in my sketchbook) for quite some time now. I had originally planned to release it earlier, but life got in the way and I had to put it on hold for a while. Still, the idea never really left me, especially with so many of you in the community asking for an under-the-sea or mermaid-inspired CC pack. 🧜‍♀️

I wanted it to feel cute and diverse, so I imagined a toddler version of Ariel and Prince Eric, and that’s how this collection came to life.

Ariel’s bedroom is focused on her life under the sea, with a beautiful toddler bed inspired by ocean shapes, a cute night light shaped like a shell with a glowing pearl, a coral-style bookcase, friendly undersea toys, and even an adorable octopus plushie.

Little Prince Eric has his own mini sailboat bed, a matching nightstand and dresser, a treasure chest toy box, and the sweetest seagull plush friend. And yes, the lighthouse bookcase doubles as a floor lamp!

A huge thanks to my buddy Billy (also known as @SimScraper2), who helped me sketch some of the objects, thanks to him, they turned out extra adorable! 🩵 If you haven’t seen Billy’s art yet, you’re missing out. Go follow and check it out!

TS4 CC Download - Waterfall Bedroom

This has been a long time in the making, and I'm really proud of how it's turned out. The main inspiration for Waterfall Bedroom came from The Sims 1 Superstar expansion - after recreating the Art Deco-style dresser, I wanted to carry on, and so this whole suite was born. I always loved the American furniture from the 1920s and 1930s that appeared in previous iterations of Sims games, and especially as made by the custom content creators of the 00s. Nothing quite the same ever arrived with The Sims 4, so this is my attempt at filling that niche. There's a UK-specific nod here too though, in the form of the tiled fireplace, which can still be found in bedrooms all over the country. I hope you enjoy!

Hi guys! First post on tumblr, kinda excited. For a long time I've been struggling with attempting new Sims 4 legacy challenges, as I couldn't find any that also go into newer packs. I've played Not So Berry a bunch of times (never actually finished lol), and it inspired me to go into a rabbithole of legacy challenges. Before we start, this challenge was inspired by a Sims 3 Monster High challenge made by simmingsamantha.tumblr.com. I took A LOT of inspiration (especially in the beggining) when making this challenge, so please, make sure to check them out. <3 This challenge was made inspired by my fav characters from Monster High. You don't need to make your sims look like the dolls, there's specific color suggestions but also - you don't need to follow them. Play the challenge the way YOU are going to enjoy it! NOW ONTO THE BASIC RULES! 1. Normal lifespan, 2. No cheats, unless stated otherwise, 3. I suggest using the color combos provided to make the game look more interesting, 4. Every generation is supposed to complete their career and aspiration (unless stated otherwise). 5. For two legacies I am using mods to expand the occult gameplay - they're going to be linked next to the generations. You don't have to use them.

The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required.

[4t2] Sixam - Secret Alien World for TS2 ^^

Remember my 4t2 Sixam project I started 2 years ago? Which I almost scrapped but revisited sometime last year? ... well, I've got good news for you then. It's finally out now! ^^

Welcome to Sixam!

Sixam Academy is a prestigious intergalactic university on the planet of Sixam that provides special training for aspiring students to become Birth Queens, Colony Drones, or even the latest innovation in alien technology: Pollination Technicians. The academy offers hands-on experiences, collaborative research, and cultural exploration, alongside interstellar expeditions, nurturing a community focused on curiosity, inclusivity, and innovation.

Yes, I recreated the secret alien world from TS4 for TS2 as a custom university subhood! Why as a university subhood you may ask? Well, I tried to keep the original vibes of Sixam of it being an "unlockable"/visitable place your sims can explore rather than a regular neighborhood your sims can live in!

Well, even after graduation, your sims can actually stay and live in the university subhood using Lamare's YAs can enjoy maternity (and all that) mod, as well as Lamare's Pets at University mod!

While technically it's a university, it could easily also be just a downtown or a main hood, as it includes quite a few urban city-style residential & community lots that a main hood/downtown would also otherwise have… just all in sci-fi/alien theme, of course! ;)

Neighborhood Info:

Requires only Uni/NL/OFB EP and no CC were used to build the lots - I made this without Apartment Life EP, so TS2 Super Collection users can also use it, but in the future, I might also make an alternative version as an actual downtown with apartment lots!

No camera mod is needed, yet, still recommended for easier gameplay, especially since some lots were built on skyscrapers and can be hard to view with just the vanilla camera.

Number of Sims: 90 (10 playable sims in 4 playable families, 31 townies, 44 NPCs, 5 dead sims)

Number of Lots: 35 (7 residential lots, 2 Greek houses, 5 dorms, 1 secret society, 20 community lots, where 8 of which are owned businesses)

Gameplay Info:

Speaking of lots, I made lecture halls for every major, which you could use with beestew's Active Classes mod! These are community lots, featuring skill-building equipment and study spaces, with NPC professors (as lot owners) available for tutoring whenever your sims visit.

I also made an optional custom skybox and custom lighting file for Sixam that will make it always nighttime (Yes, you heard right! The sun never shines here on Sixam!) with subtle seasonal color changes - reddish in Autumn, bluish in Winter, and greenish in Spring.

While the empty version should be CC-free, the inhabited version requires the 3 alien skintones (blue/turquoise/violet) from my [4t2] aliens set to keep the TS4 alien characters like Aileen Rauvu authentic. As giving all these colorful aliens the default green skin instead felt as bad as white-washing, say, giving black characters like Olive Specter a lighter skintone for me. An alternative CC-free version with no CC skintones is also available for players who prefer to not have any CC skintones in their games, though.

I also recreated some characters from TS4, especially all the characters from the The Sims 4 Get to Work: Sul Sul trailer. Every character comes with a complete set of ancestors (at least parents) and customized memories, even townies and NPCs! Some also come with interesting lore! Even though, they're just... townies! Oh, and everyone has genetic infant faces! Yayy! XD

Speaking of characters, scripted events don't work in subhoods, but I wrote a text in each family description that somewhat mimic the scripted event notifications anyway. I think this is a brilliant and fun way of introducing new characters, even in university subhoods. All households should also have a complete set of family album pictures that show their lore a bit. ^^

Recommended Mods:

All notownieregen/antiredudancy/nodormiespawn/nossrespawn mods. All university townies/NPCs in Sixam are aliens.. or at least have a very good reason why they're there, but this can easily be ruined if you don't have these mods installed, lol.

bloodredtoe's Mannequin babies can be born mod. To have more variety, I used the mannequin skintone for some of the alien sims. While this mod isn't required, it's recommended to prevent crashes, especially when these aliens have offspring, as there's a chance they could inherit the mannequin skintone.

Squinge's No Townie Memory Loss. Again, townies and NPCs in this neighborhood are highly customized and I recommend getting no townie amnesia mods to prevent their lore from getting wiped out! As there are a few clues in the bios of some of the townies... including long lost twins!

lingeringwillx's Restore Default Names for Sims in Subneighbohoods . This is especially helpful, not only because the townies/NPCs are related to the playable sims, but also, it will help to maintain the alien atmosphere of Sixam with names like Pollination Technicians, Colony Drones or Birth Queens, etc. instead of having EA's default townie/NPC names.
