The sun streamed from the open window as the curtains billowed in the frizzy wind, seeing Julie clinging tighter to him made his heart swell with affection, but the way her teeth chattered lightly revealed how cold the breeze was being to her and so without further ado Luke forced himself to leave the bed only to close the window glasses, adjusting the curtains as to leave not even a glimmer of space for the frizziness to enter in the room and disturb their morning.

A small smile cracked on Julie’s lips brighter than the sun rising outside as Luke’s weight shifted on the bed, sighing softly as he took her once more in his arms, like a cat she clinged to his muscular chest, taking deligh in the gentleness of his touch stroking her hair.

All of that was a gift

A life full of love long searched but never obtained, iff not for her unconditional affection he never shied away from reciprocating even before he could fully learn how to speak and how to run, before all that he knew that what he felt for her was love.

“What are you thinking ?” 

Julie’s groggy voice pulled him out of his thoughts, a smile crept up on his lips as she reached to brush her fingers on his cheek.

“Nothing much.”

“Mmm I see, do you want to keep it a secret eh ?”

“What no …” 

Before Luke could continue Julie had launched a merciless attack of tickles on his abdomen, smirking at the hearty laugh reverberating in the stillness of the room.

“Ah no Julie really it was … hahaha … really nothing.”

“I see my tickles are too mild.”

“Oh no please don't.”

“Either you tell me or I keep tickling you.”

“Ahah … no please have mercy.”

From his voice she perceived he was to spill the bean and so she stopped only to prop her chin on his chest letting her fingers wander on the panes and curves of his abs squeezing its softness.

“I was thinking about how lucky I am to have you.”

Julie’s chartreuse eyes widened in surprise only to crinkle with affection at his confession, in an instant she launched her short arms around his neck smiling between giggles pouring from her tongue at the light kisses he peppered on her face.

“Please aahahha … have mercy … ahahahah.”

“Sorry honey but it's time to pay you back.”

“Petty.”

“Tell the one who started it.”

Julie pouted softly only for it to crack into a smile as he melted his lips on hers, savouring the sweet savour of honey from his lips was a luxury she couldn’t have traded for anything, a delight she gave in moaning into the kiss as he entwined his tongue with her own, most reluctantly they broke off the kiss at this Luke slumped once more on the bed welcoming her in his arms, a smile curled his lips when Julie snuggled to his chest smiling as he tightened his arms around her waist.

“Luke.”

“Yeah.”

“Tell me one thing.”

“All you want Julie.”

“What do you wish for as a gift ?”

“Nothing.”

“Nothing.” 

Julie raised her gaze in disbelief to look at him, only to be taken aback by the utter devotion she read in Luke’s light green eyes

“You are the best gift I could ever receive.”

Unable to stay still she melted her lips on his only to moan as his tongue entwined with hers, welcoming his passion as she ever did, only reluctantly he pulled away from her, a smile on his lips as Julie brushed her soft fingers on his cheek gawking in awe at his lovestruck expression.

“I love you so very much my little princess.”

“I love you too, my big bear.”

With a content smile Julie nuzzled her head on Luke’s neck purring softly at the gentle touch of his sturdy fingers caressing her hair as they gazed at one another with fond smiles.

“Would you rather-" A thoughtful moment came and went before inspiration struck. "-Eat a spoonful of marmite cold out the pot, or spend an hour in the company of someone from work who you dislike intensely?” A slight grin tugged at Sally's lips. "Confidentially" she confided amiably, "I'm trying to gauge if offering you a handful of the Twiglets I've got in my snack box would translate as friendly, like I hope it would...or if it'd read as a declaration of war."

"Though you forget, I spend many hours with people I dislike intensely - they're called weekly department head meetings". She had to laugh at her own joke, just a little. It wasn't that she actively did not like her collegues or anything........on the contrary, most were delightful people. Most. But some......some were actual arseholes. One in particular. I love the idea that theyre at buggy’s circus, where you can originally go to beat him in a boss battle. They didnt get a chance to go through the circus part while they were there but chopper wanted cotton candy and was too scared to go alone so Zoro tagged along.

i like the idea that at the circus there'd be a bunch of minigames that are clearly rigged. like you shoot hoops onto pegs and a hand comes out and swipes it off. and only if the player gets it perfect perfect does it actually register. delighful...

anyway, some more art appreciation:

this art is absoltuely gorgeous thank you so so much for making them. theyre actually so sweet 2 me. I love thinking about how chopper is the first year zoro adopts as a senior. Zoro gives him rides to school as chopper shouts at him the directions the entire way the whole time. delightful.

the first piece is so atmospheric, it looks so warm and comfortable and fun. the details you put on choppers backpack is so lovely, it looks like its packed to the brim neatly with everything he could ever need. i love the star stickers he has too.. baby.....

love the prizes that are draped all over zoro too ouguh. the glasses the lay and the tiger. i wonder whether chopper won them all and gave them to zoro, or whether chopper couldnt win them so zoro won them all and is holding them so that chopper can run around freely.

i love how much personality the background has! the mirrors being vandalized or intentionally covered with paint splotches. or maybe thats reflecting the background... i like the paint idea better cuz it seems like theyve been tainted and buggy just hasnt cared to clean or to replace them since.

the frames of the mirrors are so fun too, i love how chopper gets the fun one and zoro's is pretty standard with some embellishments, like how their dynamic is that youre trying to depict :)

the second pic is so much fun :')))) chopper's ice cream kinda looking like a christmas tree... i can see him enjoying pistachio ice cream 100%. and zoro enjoying some kind of pink slushy or perhaps a boba. OH I JUST NOTICED THE TREATS THEYRE ENJOYING ARE EACHOTHERS COLORS STOPPPPP THATS SO CUUUTEEEOUOUOHGOUHGOUH i love how zoro is crazling wado as he crinks the drink, too. delightful to me....

i love the little background visual of the healthbars and the FIGHT ?, so cute, the style of this au works so well with your artstyleeee oooooohhhhh u_u i enjoy dearly...

i love how youve tweaked my designs too! Chopper's big baggy socks are so so darling to me and it makes me want to change his design so that he can have big fluffy leg warmers.... which im actually gonna go do. along with adjusting zoro's design to have a hood and black nail polish because those ideas are bloody delightful.

i also like zoro's big clunky shoes. i hope you dont mind me yoinking these ideas.

lastly, the way you render is so gorgeoussss its so lively and fun, truly a perfect match for the au. the way you fuzzed chopper's hat and the plush tiger are so nice i can feel them just by looking at it. and chopper's vials and bottle of liquids? me want drink.

Also this is neither here nor there and I really like his little wings, but they’re actually just feathers, not wings 😅 BUT THE WAY YOU DREW THE WINGS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!! I kinda want them to be wings, maybe not coming from chopper but actually just being on the hat from Dr Hiroluck that he decorated them with before he kicked the bucket… them still flapping, his powers still going all these years later …. Yeah…. 😭😭😭😭
