Happy Halloween!

Sandman Inktober was a blast! Wrapping up my little run with some Bob's Burgers inspired costumes + more kid fic AU. Kian gets to be Peter Pan's Labyrinth, Dream is Billy Idol-ish, and Regular-Sized-Hobsie is Paul Rudd in 'I Love You, Man'. (Tulip is either a bat or a cat, neither Hob nor Dream know for sure. Matthew is just a dirty candy thief)

Their friendship started a few month ago, after Jason 'found' a phone in the Alley. He started to watch some videos online on some game named Doomed and was in some forums.

He couldn't play the game himself, because he didn't have a computer, but it was a nice escape anyway. And more often than not he engaged with Ghost_Boy and they became friends.

It took a long time before they told each other their real names, but it seemed to not really change anything.

He was the first one Danny told about his death that wasn't there. Danny was the first person he called after his mom died.

And even though they haven't seen each other ever in real life, Danny was his best friend.

So he told Danny about being adopted, about Batman and Robin and he listened about the things the ghost did in his little town.

He didn't tell Bruce about Danny. It seemed to personal.

Until he got a call from Danny, just an hour after patrol.

"Hey, do you think Bruce would adopt me too? I also have black hair a-and blue eyes...", Danny joked while clearly choking back tears.

It took some time to find out that everyone important to Danny died. A big explosion and that was it.

And what else was he supposed to do, then to wake up Bruce in the middle of the night after partol?

I believe in the healing power of dairy for food that Tastes Too Hard.

Coffee too bitter? A bit of cream will take the edge off of it a lot more than sugar does (those I'll admit to liking a bit of both)

Curry too spicy? Throw some sour cream or plain yogurt in to turn down the mouth-pain and keep the actual flavour

Accidentally put too much sugar in your bread? Toss some more butter in it and now it's French Pastry.

Potatoes too starchy? Cheese and/or butter and/or sour cream and now it's delicious and has all of the major vitamins and minerals you need.

Look at the effort by these VA’s in incorporating an Italian dialect/Mario’s accent.

What bothers me about Chris Pratt as Mario is that there is no effort from his part from what we have seen so far and it’s honestly what all of us expected. It’s just Chris Pratt voicing himself. With that knowledge, I now understand why he was perfect for A Lego Movie. His character is supposed to be the most boring, blandest, not worth a second glance ass character possible and they got that with Chris Pratt.

I mean, he wasn’t technically wrong but what a way to spin it. You know what I thought when I first heard his Mario? How the fuck did he white wash an already white character?

Where’s the accent? If he wasn’t going to do the Italian accent, why not the New York accent from The Super Mario Bros Show?

He is just flattening the media and making it unplaceable american.

UPDATE:

After seeing the new trailer, I now understand why Chris Pratt’s acting works for Illumination’s Mario.

Illumination essentially made their Mario as Andy from Parks and Rec, Peter Quill from GOTG, and as Emmett from A Lego Movie. Illumination’s Mario is literally an accident prone clumsy man child from the looks of the second trailer. A character Chris Pratt has been playing over and over.

Also, now that I’ve heard more of Pratt’s Mario and know what kind of character Illumination’s Mario is supposed to be, I don’t have as big of an issue with it as I did before. That trailer is amazing.

Still upset that they basically rewrote Mario as a clumsy bumpkin.
