Ok, none of you know what's going on. None of you understand why so many women and young streamers are stepping forward right now. None of you understand why this has to be public.

Multiple large streamers have used their fame, influence, and money to manipulate and abuse those they see as below them. So long as they continue to have fame, influence, and money, this cycle will not end.

This is bigger than just individual cases of sexual assault or other abuse. This is a break down of a much larger problem within the entertainment industry.

These women are telling stories about very powerful men in this space. They are sharing stories of abuse and manipulation. This is very scary for them—it could ruin their careers or lives.

Stop saying "they should have handled this privately." This isn't a private matter. So long as these men have power, they will hurt more women. They aren't sorry. They won't play fair.

By trying to stay silent and bury these accusations, you are ensuring these women never know peace. You are ensuring that more women get hurt.

One day your boss will assault you, and all the men in your life will blame you for waiting as long as you did to speak about it. They will find any reason to blame you. They don't want to get rid of your boss. They hope that one day, they can assault a woman just like you.

This is fucking serious. This is real life. This isn't just some fucking fandom drama that we can bury and move on from. These are real life issues that require real meaningful discussion.

Stop trying to discredit these women just because your streamer is in trouble. You are part of the fucking problem.

oh i looked for your name on the ouija board and your naked magic, oh dear lord..

i didn't want to bulk up the post with multiple paragraphs or add it in a reblog but i wanted to talk about this a little :)

i was thinking about the gif i made last year for where did the party go and still love how it turned out. it gives me lost tapes vibes and i've also been into a lot of throwback/retro themed art, so wanted to tap into that with a stack of tvs.

there are clear references to the music video with the disco ball, that abandoned hospital wall color, spray painted symbol, and The Cord. but the tvs also tie back to the album cover, mirroring the clothing colors. and if you take a peek at the runtime on the tv, it's to where the lyrics start in the song (minus the milliseconds, itunes didn't provide it so i just threw a couple to the end).

i know the machete didn't come in until the end half of death valley and guitar not until save rock and roll, but last summer i made another version of that and have been trying to use it in something since, but never found the right idea to incorporate it. so i figured add it to this piece because so many associate lyrics of love and comparisons to pete and patrick's relationship, so why no put the two together? they were brought together by music, torn apart by it, then made whole again from it.

also, since i started using procreate i've been able to do about 60-70% (of large projects, like this) in the program before having to eventually move it into photoshop to finish it up. but this one is 99% procreate! the only thing that's ps is the "and the love on tv / love on tv" text because i couldn't quite replicate it the same way i did in ps (skill issue as of right now lol). but i a quite proud of that! because the learning curve has been a slow and steady climb.

Andy and Fuuko really haven't been together since the end of Summer Arc, which was around early December in loop 100.

Fuuko was away from Andy until December 24th and then, of course, Ruin happened after Spring's neutralization and then she was taken by Ghost.

Then, when she finally returned to her body, during Ragnarok, Andy and Fuuko were together for maybe an hour or two before she looped.

So, to put it simply, they haven't really been together since chapter 68, and they are expected to be reunited, finally, in chapter 219

That's whack.

(Also, they literally fell for each other within four months and haven't really seen each other in 200 years (4.6 billion for Andy). They are the definition of ride or die)

I like to imagine Ms Graves "Andrew was such an easy kid" is like, specifically referring to little boy Andrew who was nonverbal, made absolutely zero noise, communicated nothing, and constantly forgot to eat, and instead just autistically stared at the wall, or tv, for hours at a time without moving

gOD the way Undead Unluck starts off. Like, ha ha, okay, whatever, let’s get the obligatory ecchi scenes out of the way.

But like, then you read and learn more about Andy and it’s like. Oh. Yeah, the manga starts off with a naked dude chasing after an 18 year old girl and trying to fondle her tits. But then you learn about his history and it like oh.

Andy didn’t care.

He like, really, didn’t care about anything other than himself in the beginning.

Or rather, more accurately, he cared MORE about himself than what some random brat would want.

He has spent hundreds of years all alone, always watching his friends and their family live their lives, have kids, achieve dreams, grow old, and die. And he is always left behind, never able to join them.

He’s suicidal. He’s depressed. He does not give a shit. He’s just chasing for feeling SOMETHING by trying to die in different ways, and if he can get that by touching some girl, then heck yeah, he’s gonna do exactly that.

Like, he has standards and calms down about touching her after a while, but in the beginning? He didn’t care, and it sucks because it’s clear that he does care. He cares a lot and when you see his history, you KNOW the dude wasn’t always like this. But he is just so tired of being alive. He doesn’t have anyone. He’s alone, he has no hope for his future. Victor had Juiz for all those billions of years, but Andy had no one, and that’s a big difference between the two. Victor always had Juiz from day one, but Andy didn’t meet Fuuko until like 200 years later, and it’s like.

Yeah, ha ha, okay, whatever, obligatory ecchi scenes out of the way, but also. That is a man who got tired of caring about anything other than himself. That’s a man who lost hope and was in despair.

And now he’s regaining the energy to love and care again and it’s just!!!!

This manga is gonna make me cry.

Life update 2024

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I last wrote anything of substance here. How time flies! Happy new year, happy year of the dragon! I hope this one is kind and auspicious for you all.

I'll admit to falling off the art train terribly for most of 2023. I barely drew; a lot of things I posted were older pieces for projects I couldn't share at the time. I think I speak for most of us when I say it's not been a great time for art collectively; growing frustrations with social media and despair at the state of current global affairs leaves little room for creative inspiration. I know many artist friends of mine are in the same boat. There's little one can do except plod on and hope for better times ahead, I guess? I'll do my best regardless!

Having said that, I did have a major touch-grass-normie arc offline, and as wild as it was, I'm glad I invested time and energy into that area of my life. After the lockdown years of terminal-onlineness, it felt great to do things that were not related to fandom at all, to have new experiences, to make new friends, reconnect with old ones, see new things. It was funny and terrifying all at once. I truly felt like a shonen and shojo protagonist (we will not go into details of the love triangle situation, IYKYK!). There were ups and downs, sadness and laughter, but that's part of life. I'm grateful for all that's happened and am a better, wiser, more mature person because of it. This past year taught me it's not about categorizing life's happenings into a basic good/bad dichotomy, but more learning from each experience and acknowledging we are wiser and grateful for having weathered what's thrown our way. Character development!

The universe has a way of working things out... so at the end of 2023, I had the opportunity to travel for 3 months. After hopping around the East Coast, Milan, various bits of Japan and a beach break in sunny Egypt, I've returned home with a renewed vigor for living my best life again. It was a joy to hang out with various artist friends in person and meet some of you at ANYC. I'll cherish every second of my travels and hope we can meet again soon!

I did fall off the nerd bandwagon for a while, so I gotta get back into the various anime on air! I've been watching Magi in my own time... such a guilty pleasure, but so many things await, including catching up on JJK S2, BSD, and everything else. Just goes to show my deep love for adventure, friendship-fuelled stories keeps me going. No promises on what this year holds art wise, but I'll continue trying hard and sharing what I can, as well as the usual self-indulgent group projects.
