it had taken far longer than rycard would've liked, but he finally tracked her down. thank the fucking stars, he was sick of this stupid chase. why did she run?? he thought they'd figured it out. why did he care?? that was far more confusing to him than the first question swirling about in his brain, but he refused to explore the latter question any further. it didn't matter. he didn't care. he just wanted to finish the fucking score, the guilt and rage weighed heavy on his shoulders. just finish the sore. finish this. he pounded on the door, practically shaking with fury. it was just him, he didn't want the trouble of the entire pack of purgers with him. nope, just him and aurora. they'd figure this out once and for all. just him and aurora. so imagine his surprise when the curly-headed blond that stole his heart from the moment they'd met was the one to open the door. djura's expression brightened -- he just couldn't help it. he couldn't help it when rycard was near. seemed counter-intuitive, given how cruel and scary rycard could be, but lucky was just so fucking happy to see him. rycard, however, short-circuited, grabbed the blond, slammed the door shut behind them and pinned him to the door. ❝ you bastard -- djura beily friis, you bastard. ❞ he spat lowly.
djura grinned brighter. ❝ hi to you too, dear snake. ❞

1 Insight: Djura's third companion is Josef
15 Insight: Josef is just a cooperator variant of the NPC type 'Izzy's Successor', Djura's third companion is that corpse you pick Charred Set from
40 Insight: 'Djura's companion' might not even necessarily mean Powder Kegs. For example, Djura's Ally doesn't have any Powder Kegs weapons but is clearly included! Even then, there were multiple Powder Kegs, why just three specific ones? Maybe 'companions' refers to his polycule divorces closest friends or whatever. Could that mean Bestial Hunter who is from Oto Workshop (beta Powder Kegs workshop)? Could that mean Valtr since his weapon was made in Powder Kegs? Could that mean Izzy? Who knows!
60 Insight: Djura's third companion is an OC spot because developers forgor/had no time and we've been doing blue curtains effect this whole time
99 Insight: Djura's third companion is a Blood-Starved Beast that Djura's Apprentice fights with, they left Old Yharnam together and this one was poisoned with Ashen Blood all along and eventually turned
0 Insight: You've been fighting Brainsucker in Upper Cathedral Ward's corridor for too long lol
#eheheheh hehehegee e ehheheh#bloodborne#retired hunter djura#powder kegs#also yeah I know that BSBs are very likely female#but 1) not 100% solid and#2) basically djura said 'this is my boyfriend [djura's apprentice name] and this is my boyfriend's girlfriend [BSB's name]'#okay a cuter idea is that BSB and djura's apprentice were a couple and djura was an authority for both but also best friend#I don't know the right word for this type of relationship? like imagine if Maria and Adeline were also close to Gehrman while being a coupl#and he looked after both and cared a lot about both of them but not in third wheel way like in platonically involved way#'parental figure' is not correct when it is a couple and not like found/adopted siblings I think lol#but 'authority figure' is too emotionally distant term to describe what it entails#but yes you see what I mean!#I am pretty sure there is a good word for it and I am being like a guy that called aquarium a liquid zoo help fdhhdfsds#bloodborne headcanons

Ok this is now An Ask
You mentioned you love assigning flowers to characters.
What flowers would you assign to Bloodborne characters??? I'm fascinated
Not a full/official list but yes, Bloodborne character flowers. I was going to go into specific colours and a description of why I chose them but I’m tired right now (wanted to answer this as fast as possible though). I’ll probably update this with a proper explanation (and more characters) tomorrow :)
The vast majority of these are based off symbolism but one or two are just based off the vibe I get from them, honestly.
Freesia: Gascoigne
Gorse: Henryk
Lavender/Anemone: Gehrman
Gladiolus: Maria
Thistle: Gilbert
Heather: Chapel Dweller
Snowdrop: Plain Doll
Wild Foxglove: Iosefka
Petunia: Valtr
Wolfsbane: Brador
Aster: Caryll
Clematis: Laurence
Iris: Ludwig
Bonus pic of a lovely Peacock Butterfly putting on a show on our (not so lovely) climbing rose plant during summer
#asks#some of these have sentimental value to me :)#i learned a lot about plants from my mum and stuff#and we’ve grown a lot of them together#gehr gets two bc he’s my stinky favourite#i couldn’t decide on a plant to describe eileen tbh#she seems like the type of woman that would want a bramble bush instead of a bouquet#and i love her for it#still deciding on djura and alfred tbh#i can’t really associate alfred with any flowers#i could probably say a white rose or something just to fit his clothes and church vibe#but it just doesn’t work in my head#i have beef with mico he’s a venus fly trap to me#wouldn’t survive in my my garden bc we don’t have the climate for it (good)#the butterfly was very good at posing#chilled there for a while and opened and closed it’s wings

Pelipper mail! A nightmare, maybe? Or just a dream...
It is a normal shift at the Yharnam Coffee Shop, in your home town in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. You have lived here all your life, and have been satisfied enough.
The owner, Gehrman, hardly ever comes into the shop to manage things. He prefers to sit in the chair out front and greet customers, all day long, and he swears this is critical to Yharnam Coffee's successful operation. When he's not present, it's up to you as most senior employee to make sure things run smoothly.
Not that there's ever much difficulty or tension, here. The shop's only competition was your former employer, the Cainhurst Brewery, and it burned to the ground three months ago. Your coworker Alfred seems unusually happy about that and you have your suspicions, no matter how many times you've tried to tell him that companies don't deserve his loyalty or outside-work efforts.
Eileen is here, as usual, sitting in the corner with her black coffee and blacker clothing. You don't know what she used to do, but she's retired now. She likes to people-watch, and will comment briefly to people who make the effort to sit beside her, but she always pushes visitors away eventually.
At the front of the line now is Djura, who used to work here but quit in favor of a better job last year. He is polite but curt, asking for his latte to go as he always does, because you know he doesn't like to spend time in here any more than he needs to. You take his payment and write his name on the cup, spelled correctly as so few people can. Behind you, Gascoigne begins making the drink for him.
It is an uneventful day. After a while, Eileen gets up to leave. Another one of your regulars, Gilbert, enters wearing a face mask, but he assures you what he has is not serious. At the end of your shift, Gascoigne's daughters show up with an order for four hot chocolates. Laurence and Amelia are already here to replace you, making this as their first order of the day, and you help Gascoigne carry everything out to his wife waiting in the car.
Then you head home yourself, and Reina meets you at the door with a smile and a hug, and all is well.
I. That.
What.
I have so many questions and I am, in fact, just confused enough to actually begin asking them.
Where is Portland? Where is Oregon? Why a coffee shop? I'll admit I'm rather amused by how thoroughly useless Gehrman was, given how thoroughly useless I am led to believe he became in his old age. Yet—
Cainhurst? A brewery? If anything, they would be a winery, they were always all too pretentious about their particular vintages—on a related note, do not drink the wine there, it is not wine and it is not sanitary—and I don't know who this 'Alfred' is but if he burned Cainhurst to the ground he cannot be entirely terrible.
I do know Eileen, and she would be the sort to drink entirely black coffee. She would... also be the sort to push people away. Especially after being retired.
...I can scarcely imagine her retiring. Not willingly, at least. She was... she was younger than me. She was an old woman in that dream.
I have... never met a Djura, or a Gascoigne, or a Gilbert. I suppose that they, like Alfred, must have been after my time... and like whoever Amelia must be.
Laurence is... familiar. I would not trust him in food service. For several reasons.
Still, I...
How can I feel nostalgic for something that never was, and never could be? For people I have never met, only heard of, in many cases?
Why do I miss something that I never experienced?
...Enough of that, I suppose. Victory Road is close, and I'm told that the Pokémon League is just beyond it.
Perhaps...
...Perhaps I'll consider coffee further, the next time I am in civilization. I always preferred tea, though that was more out of familiarity rather than anything else. It certainly smells nice, or did in that... dream? Nightmare?
I don't know what to categorize that as, in complete honesty.

[A video.
The hunters are standing outside with Ferro, in a somewhat secluded area near Route 18.
"Are you sure about that, kid?" Henryk asks, flicking his self-made saw cleaver back and forth idly.
"Wouldn't have asked otherwise. You want to know how a deaf kid can hunt?" He tilts his head and grins. "Let me show you how."
"You're cocky."
"Deservedly so."
"Fine. Most of us don't have all of our weapons. So unless you want to take turns..."
"Easily remedied. I still Dream." The mist around Ferro's feet coalesces into small shapes that pull out weapons to hand them to the scattered Hunters. One of the weapons they hand Ferro is a Burial Blade, already assembled into its transformed state. He taps the butt of it on the grassy floor, then grins up at all the hunters. Amongst the assembled hunters, Gehrman stands, holding a Burial Blade far older than Ferro's own with shaking hands.
"Is that..."
"Your axe. The Dream is very good for some things." The grin on Ferro's face is audible. After a moment, he reaches up to turn off his hearing aids. "Now... Let's do this. A good old spar." He turns to the watching children and Pokémon behind the camera. "Stay out of the way, yeah?" He takes a breath. Then bursts into action.
Almost all at once, all four hunters scatter, just out of the way of Ferro's one handed swing. A swing Gascoigne barely manages to block and divert with his axe. He grunts, strains, then jumps back.
"Hunter's strength, huh..." Gascoigne grins, the expression fanged and growing wider. It's dangerous to do this so close to evening. If they take too long, he'd turn.
Ferro whirls, carving the blade in his hand upwards, just about blocking Djura creeping up behind him, eyes wide open. The dim hint of crystal glitter is visble in his eyes, remnants of Area Zero. Shortly after, his left hands explode into tentacles. An Augur. Djura curses, jumps back.
"Good thinking, kiddo..." He exhales. "Henryk! Any idea how he noticed me?"
"None."
"Away." Gehrman dashes in. Burial Blades crash into one another, sparks fly.
"Oooh, I haven't fought a blade like this in a while..." Ferro's voice wavers strangely, in a volume above his whisper. "Go on, Hunter." His smile is too wide.
"You fought my counterpart," Gehrman grinds out, switching his blade into the two-handed mode. "You fight well with it."
Ferro twists. After jumping away, he is intercepted quickly by large, beastly hands snake around his waist and hold him tight. Henryk is moving in a second later, Saw Cleaver halfway into unfolding to cleave into him.
"If you truly Dream, this shouldn't be so bad for you." It never connects. Ferro dissolves into mist, manifesting a few steps to the side. Quickening. He looks a little green around the gills, then disconnects the blade from the scythe handle. He clashes into Henryk again, once, twice, three times. By the third, Djura is behind him and rushes him to the ground, successful. Shortly after, Gascoigne joins him in keeping Ferro on the floor, with Gehrman and Henryk both resting the tips of their weapons on Ferro. The kid grins. It is wide.
"You fight well," Djura wheezes, one hand flicking Ferro's hearing aids back on. "And us Hunters are a different magnitude than some beast."
"I'm not used to fighting by myself. Usually I got my partner."
"Well. Count me as impressed. And afraid. You're good, kid." Djura hauls Ferro back up. "C'mon, let's go back to the house. The absol needs its feed." Behind the camera, cheers sound before the video cuts out.]

Full headcanon:
Djura and Eileen weren't friend with Gascoigne and Henryk; nor were they friends with each other.
Djura doesn't agree with Gascoigne and Henryk's stance on beasts and regarded them with wariness. Eileen simply doesn't allow herself to get close those she might have to slay later on.
Gascoigne and Henryk are part of the few hunters to actually form a friendship and keep it going despite all the misery during the Hunts.

@nishihii Saw your tags (thank you SO much for the commentary!)
I have ....MANY DISJOINTED THOUGHTS on them ...considering there is absolutely nothing beyond Amelia's cutscene and suggestions based on Henriett's locations. I am going to be nice and put it under a read more so apologies for rambling. I'm the person who made that one flayed BSB in Old Yharnam my own OC at this point.
Thots on "Violently Ill and Tragically Catholic" and "Emotionally Distant Through Distrust of Anyone That's Not Her Person" (this jsut rambles into a chunk and I apologize as I realize this right after sdfgfgdg)
I mean, Amelia has three details, she's a Vicar left behind, she's clutching a pendant in the Grand Cathedral, and she's bowed and praying in front of Laurence's Skull. That's ...about it. So a lot of this is jsut my brain going "This is my interpretation to the point of 'my city now' "
Unknown what sort of special thing Amelia has to her, maybe it's a secret that never spreads to anyone beyond the upper echelons of the church, but she is chosen and groomed to serve as a high ranking member of the church. Sickly and paranoid and seemingly on the edge of a breakdown constantly, thinking gods are judging every move. Her illness came before the church, and people jsut deal with it coldly, but she's used ot it at this point. Not to say she is inept or withheld, she definitely has earned a place, her faith and her intelligence holding her up to the title of Vicar. She comes into the title in her early 20s, I like to imagine after the Halmet, so she knew Laurence before and after the descent to madness. Not any relation but she's being set up to take over whenever Laurence steps down/is indisposed/goes crazy goes stupid, so there's a decent connection. A soft intelligent man who wants to help slowly getting more frenzied and wild discovering what lays beyond blood and fluid, and the part unattached to the church wants her to leave, but her faith shackles her. As Vicars begin to disappear and beasts fill their halls, Amelia is slowly becoming more panicked and paranoid of her eventual hour of beasthood. Constantly check her mirrors and asking others to see if her pupils have started blistering, if her blood is now different, if the smoke is driving her away more than usual. She's never left the Ward so knows nothing of the world beyond who comes to prayers and what Henriett tells her as Amelia settles into another dreamless sleep ...
Henriett has even LESS lore, but a couple things I find interesting. She's the main and ONLY summon for Amelia, but she is an optional boss for Ludwig (and I've heard Laurence but can't get info for this bit). She also wields a Kirkhammer, a known church weapon, a repeating pistol, and torch
With the Ludwig and Kirkhammer, I always imagine Henriett as a former Tomb Prospecter, (the only other prospector we meet is Olek, who also uses the Kirkhammer, repeating pistol, and torch). She for some reason decides to cease descending into the dungeons, even if the great Church Hunter Ludwig insists on invites, seeing her as skilled at what she does. With her being a Church Beast summon, perhaps she's like Djura and discovers the true secrets of the church, and decides not to be involved in their schemes. The Hunters have no secrets, they're jsut former gilded heretics who wander in the honesty of their brutality. Somehow she's formed this very very close connection to the Vicar Amelia. For some reason, she sees it as her task to tend to Amelia, making sure she's comfortable and cared for, and able to handle herself when Henriett is not around. Perhaps her secret knowledge of the blood means she knows why Amelia fears beasthood. She and her friend have their contingency plan. It is spoken of as intimately as one shares a secret to a lover, but no one quite knows their association with one another, no one can tell if this is an inappropriate church connection.
-----------
Amelia is alone when we fight her Henriett only a few blocks away. Perhaps she wants her last human memory to be when she and Henriett were close, and not her seeing claws grow from her finger beds and her friend swinging stone to break her apart. She asks Henriett to leave and only come back when the blood breaks. Henriett thinks much the same. The new Hunter invites her to duel with a beast in the Cathedral, the floors are cold and cruel and Henriett remembers when she used to warn Amelia about walking across them barefoot and catching an illness.
Ludwig is an afterthought. A man she respected, she's here to give him the dignity he deserves. She wants him to see what a church hunter has become, someone who can carry a task for others. She performs it well and even if he sees the Hunter isn't part of them, she is the one to tell him (be it truth or lie) that his dear spartans have always fought for their honour. She doesn't know The Harrowed but she respects him enough to leave him with the beast's head
(if the Laurence summon is true (I've never found her summon)), She's there for her own fury. Her closest confidante, the closest she's ever been to a person. She had to kill her with the kindest mercy one can bestow on a Hunt. Laurence birthed monsters, Laurence made her friend a slave to a cult born from amniotic anguish of an underworld. Henriett's kindness is going to make this murder as cruel as she feels it needs to be. She finds a bed in the Hunter Gaol afterwards and takes the first rest she has in years. When Henriett wakes up, she'll decide to bury Amelia's amulet in the Upper Ward.

Also really curious about how you see Ludwig!
Seems really like the perfect role model guy!
Perfect role model guy? Maybe xd
I haven’t thought much about his past, but I think that he is also a foreigner (as many other characters!), or rather his family is from other lands. He himself was born and raised in Yharnam, but his roots are southern.
Another doodle to show how exactly I see him (It's Laurence in the left and Edgar in the right, nevermind xD) :
What can be said for sure is that he is very cute!
A "father" for his soldiers (hunters), an excellent fighter, a strongman. An exemplary family man - in my headcanon he is married, and perfectly copes with the role of a father and husband. However, what he couldn't do is to be the "head" of the family - I think he is very shy and timid in private and in more intimate settings!
He's also a great knight! Like, a true knight (I mean not a medieval robber and feudal lord, but a really exemplary servant, master of the sword and sir in shining armor. I swear I read a legend about a knight with a magical, talking sword, (no, not Excalibur xd) It reminds me a lot of Ludwig, though I've forgotten the legend ;_;)
He has a lot of virtues, but his flaws.....
Stone-faced. Which made it hard for Laurence to get along with him at first. Ludwig is very closed and takes deeds rather than words. Laurence couldn’t understand his loyalty and endeavor to serve for some time, but when he got it – he started to fear that Ludwig will abandon the Church after discovering it’s dark secrets.
Ludwig is quite infantile inside - he loves strategy and tactics, but mostly uses it in games for children! And actually the one who got him talking and also befriended was Gehrman, who offered him to play a board game. Gehrman and Ludwig are good friends in my opinion and drinking buddies xd I just like to imagine them drinking a huge mugs of beer while Laurence sips juice through a straw from an exquisite glass. Both friends were a bit silly and eventually acquired enough local jokes that pissed Laurence off LOL
Ludwig had nightmares very often, and a restful sleep is a reward for him. Moon influence – thanks, Laurence.
He is Edgar's idol also! He dreamed of being like the perfect knight (but didn’t succeed xd). And I really like the headcanon that Ludwig picked up little Edgar on the street in his last sane year and gave him to the Orphanage on which the Choir was based. In my headcanons Edgar is stuck being 20 years old in a Nightmare, so I guess that's probably a pretty realistic course of events...? How did he survive his stay at the Orphanage, where children were "used" to communicate with the Great Ones? I-don't-know! xd I just like to think that way, haven't tried to seriously consider it.
Ludwig conducted the massacre of Old Yharnam with true steadfastness. That's why people started call him "The Beast" - he never once showed compassion for people turning into beasts. The problem is that when he does something, he shows no doubt. All his doubts and worries were left in Laurence’s hands, and Vicar was in no hurry to clear his image in front of people or dissuade them.
The Moonlight, after the incident with Old Yharnam, had been the only source of meaning for him. The moon called, the moon comforted, the moon promised. Under its influence, Ludwig forgot everything that brought pain, just as he had forgotten his wife and son and daughter, who had died turning into beasts.
Ludwig had faith in Laurence. Ludwig also believed in healing blood. It had healed his wife, and he believed it was the future of Yharnam. Vicar asked him not to ask questions, promising to tell him one day WHAT the Church was doing, but he wasn’t able to fulfill a promise. Ludwig found out everything for himself later.
Djura admired him at first, but later joined those who called Ludwig "The Beast." He could understand everything, but he couldn't forgive him for following heartless orders.
Ludwig had been an inspiration to Damian(Me? Not to mention Damian? HAhahahaha) during his years of service as a Tomb Prosperctor. Although Damian considered this service "unholy" (the old belief that the dead should not be disturbed), Ludwig inspired him to keep going.
And! Also he was a good friend of Maria. She wasn’t as naive as Ludwig, because tried to discover secrets of Research Hall, but they both had sensitive hearts. He was a good man and she valued it during those hard times. Also how couldn’t Ludwig not appreciate Gehrman’s best apprentice? Young, talented, kind-hearted – Maria was another «knight». (I love so much female archetype of «knight». I have some examples from other games and OH MY GOD, AHksdhfksjhfiwhe General Beatrix from Final Fantasy IX plus Lady Maria is a duo of my heart…)
I used to call myself holyvicar shipper, but actually no… I like it, as much as other pairings, I can even feel it, especially if feelings are one-sided (Ludwig is in love), but Laurence really wants to feel the same, but simply can’t. Ludwig is too easy for him? I don’t know. Ludwig/Maria? Ludwig/Micolash (lol)??? I appreciate any fanart or fanfics but not really into these ships. So Ludwig is married in my world.

how they are in a relationship pt1
A/n:this is pt1 out of 2,it might take me awhile for pt2 since im working on a alfred x hunter!reader and the choir x hunter!reader,if you want to see specific characters for pt 2 dont hesitate to interact with this post!
warning:smut starts at the second half,Fluff, mention of rough sex,Overstimulation,Edging,Teasing, dirty talking, mention of biting and choking, mention of typical violence on alfred’s part,!gender-neutral reader.
laurence
hes sweet yet secretive,i feel like he will keep the whole beast situation a secret since he doesnt want to get his s/o involved in this mess, until you find him crying while writing in his notes and confesses everything to you.
hes not a major fan of pda outdoors but mostly indoors, when the two of you are together outdoors he will have a hand wrapped around your waist, showing in a subtle way who you belong to and stop any unwanted advances.
laurence writes romantic poems about you and how beautiful you are and sending them as gifts, you have gathered so many you had to store them in a chest.
ludwig
the best out of everyone on this list probably.hes an absolute sweetheart,a gentle giant, that has sworn to protect you at all cost.It was the promise he made to you the day you officially became a couple.
He loves showing you affetion no mattter where you two are.He will always give you a kiss before he leaves just in case he doesnt come back just so you know he always loved you even in death, ludwig’s kisses range from forehead to him kissing your hand gently.
Before the severe beast outbreak you too would go late night horse backriding,to blow some steam off of your everyday struggles, you would rest your head on his back while you wrap your arms around his shoulder into a hug while you chat making the moment even more intimate.
micolash
library dates?talking about kos to the wee hours the answer is yes
hes not the type to take you out on romantic dates since he has no social skills without making himself look weird, his ideal date is studying in the library or just you keeping him company while he does his reasearch.
i feel like he would leave flowers as bookmarks, like one day you will open your book and see a small flower sticking out from the top and with a micolash taking small glimpses at you to see how you reacted.
hes super clingy and he will be on you like a leech, have fun trying to get him off of you.
simon
hes not completly extroverted so it took him a long time to approach you and tell you that he likes you.
really romantic and cheesy,he is the type of guy who will try to suprise you with flowers but ultimatly failing as the flowers are visible from behind his back but also says cheesy jokes to you that are horrendously bad.
leaves you in the dark about what hes doing since he doesnt want you to become a target like he is.Also most people dont even know that he has an s/o.
djura
one qualification that his s/o must have is to be nice and take care of the beasts just like he does.Thats how you two met, seeing you pass from old yharnam,he was ready to shoot you with his gatling gun when he realized you werent killing them.
Finally reaching the tower and starting a peaceful conversation with him,he decided to recruite you to his little team and after that the both of you started to get close as you spend many nights on the tower.
unlike his tough appearance you got to learn that djura is actually sweet and very caring towards his partner,he is not afraid to show you affection no matter where he is.
brador
Hes very overprotective over his s/o and doesnt want them to get involved with anything that might force him to kill you.
just like simon nobody actually knows that brador has an s/o, as a matter of fact nobody actually knows anything about brador’s private life unlike other church members lives.
He might not show you affection at first or any vulnurebility almost like hes testing you to see if you are up to something. The same goes for public too but after trusting you he will become puddy in your hands something that you are only able to see.
Alfred
Alfred radietes golden retriever energy and will treat you like royalty.hes also very romantic giving you flowers and little gifts when he comes back home
he loves showing affection to his s/o no matter where he is! his bear hugs are the best.
he also has sworn his s/o but unlike ludwig,Alfred has the knight in shining armor complex and will kill anyone that has caused any harm to his s/o and come back like nothing happened but his smiley always gives it away.
nsfw
laurence
laurence is dominant in the bedroom,i see him as more of a pleasure dom than anything else, putting your pleasure over his, guiding you with a commanding yet calm voice, making them reach their climax.
hes quite the dirty talker but only when necessery, using it to add to the pleasure of his partner.
He loves overstimulation, seeing your face with seer pleasure as you beg him for more always brings a smile to his face.
ludwig
ludwig is a gentle dom,he will take things slow, he will never be rough to you unless you ask him to.
a body worshipper,he will kiss every inch of your body and shower you with compliments and tell you how well you are doing.
Not very fond of dirty talk unlike the other people on this list,he prefers complimenting you more since he doesnt like degrading his partner.
Micolash
Hes a switch but a buttom most of the times.he likes getting commanded around or you giving him instruction of what you want him or where to touch you
Expect a lot of experimentation and trying out new ‘’things’’,basicly a freak as someone would describe him.
he will implement dirty talk to his teasing just to see how your body reacts and to push your buttons to be rougher with him. He practicly tolerates anything in the book:biting, choking him etc.
simon
hes a switch but mostly a dom.hes more into gentle sex than anything else.
just like micolash he loves teasing you but not to the point that willl piss you off.
he loves overstimulation but with a twist.....he will edge you over and over again as his whispers the dirtiest things in your ear before he overstimulates you to the point where your whole body is shaking and his words are circling around your foggy mind.
Djura
it’s not unusual for him and you to have outdoors sex on the tower late at night.
Djura is switch ,i believe after so much commanding he wants someone else to take control.
Overall pretty vanilla and kinda hesitant to try new things but eventually warm up to it after a lot of convicing
Brador
hes a dom but unlike the others hes rough with you showing you no remorse until all of yarhnam will hear you scream his name.
hes also one that wants to try new things and spice things up in the bedroom and with that being said....
he enjoys some outdoors sex pulling you into an alleyway, seeing you struggle and trying your best to keep quiet so the both of you dont get caught while he chuckles in your ear at your struggle,he likes the thrill of almost being caught, kinky bastard.
Alfred
Alfred is a switch ,if hes buttoming, hes a power buttom and in that case he like placing his strong hands on your hips while you ride him.
Also someone who will worship your body and cover your body in kisses but unlike ludwig he enjoys dirty talk and seeing how you react to it.
he wants to hear you moan ,it’s like music to his ears as he says adding to his already inflated ego

Hello Katya, do you have any ideas about Simple Gratia?
....
Yes, my girl!! I have some observations AND ideas! I remember that back when I checked, a fan Wiki incorrectly said that she is wearing Yharnam Hunter set. I do not know whether they've fixed that since then or not, but I know it confused a few artists. Gratia, in reality, is wearing an Old Hunter set but slightly altered:
(Close images of her model are from this ( x ) page, datamined by AstralLace!) This is what an Old Hunter set looks like, for a reminder:
Gratia is an Old Hunter: the type that started under Gehrman like Maria, Vitus, Henryk, Djura, Bestial Hunter, all that. I think that she knew all these characters and more, and with Maria she was a lot like an older sister that Maria never had! But I think she would be genuinely annoyed by Djura's complex inventions and at times not be able to hide her disdain, right in the middle of Djura ranting about them! That'd spark stupid, petty arguments about what kind of weapon is "better" which their friends laugh at in the corner like hyenas until Gehrman or Maria separate them XD
In comparison with the generic set, she is missing the long flowing cape, as well as the glove on her left hand. Her weapon, a chunk of metal, also goes in the left hand. I think she is missing the glove to have a stronger grip on the metal, so it would not slip away! I wondered what her right hand weapon would be before, but I think she doesn't need one in the end! I imagine her staggering the beast with her Iron Fist and then TEARING THEIR HEAD OFF WITH HER FREE HAND DFJHFSHSD .....but, you know, a hammer or a mace would also be nice yeah sure
In Bloodborne setting, red hair is also highlighted as a trait of Cainhurst nobles, that isn't really seen in any other NPC. Edgar may be also a ginger but much brighter kind, certainly not a REDhead!
This makes me think: what if Gratia's red hair is not just a random design choice, but a hint? And even if it isn't, it can still be used for a headcanon! Cainhurst nobles descend from Pthumeru Ihyll and have some Pthumerian heritage (just in case here ( x ) is the post with evidences of it) 🤔 At the same time, Pthumerians have gigantic variants, that seem to be more slow and dim than 'regular' ones. And interestingly, Gratia is abnormally big AND stated to have some intellectual drawbacks:
So, she has 1) otherwise Cainhurst-exclusive hair color 2) a size abnormally large for a human and 3) correlation between inability to use guns and being 'dim'! This gave me a headcanon that she was born in the Cainhurst walls, but shown Pthumerian genes that were "undesired" in the eyes of snobbish nobles and thus, abandoned at birth. She never knew of her origins, but was adopted by a kind man! Yeah, in this context, Maria and Gratia feeling family-like bond almost from the start in kind of fateful!
^ I often draw her with the same body pattern that shows on the skin of Snatchers, and that is exactly what kind of descendant she is!
I also always liked the idea that Gratia, Simon and Yamamura were the 'detective friends' up to uncover the Healing Church's secrets! Later, I decided the Yahar'gul Hunter we find in the prison under Grand Cathedral should also be a part of the squad! I did not know that Simon interestingly had Fist of Gratia as a part of his equipment back then and only judged from their location, but that made me feel validated with that headcanon! xD
Gratia is, of course, more of a 'power' of the team! She might be not very smart, but she has her heart in a good place and can understand the concept of shady bad business that should be stopped. She is easy to deceive in terms of pranks and other remotely innocent things, but when someone lying to her or trying to use her is malicious she will sense it. Pair that with her being very brave and blunt, and you really don't want to mess with her! The girl could grab Laurence and slam him against the wall accusing him of being "full of shit" if he attempted to deceive her, ffs! And not even his friends would defend him because it IS his fault for playing with this tigress x)
Needless to mention that she is protective over her friends! Not a kind of a protective friend that will mindlessly jump into fighting the other guy, but someone that will walk in and give them a fair warning to get lost first. She has threatening aura and usually just that is enough to scare away a person that means no good to someone she cares about. But, when she is powerless to do anything against some prick in power or likewise, she will express her frustration by breaking a property on her way out xd
Also she gives me this vibe:
Thank you for an ask! :D She has a very vivid and fleshed out image in my mind! Funny enough, this makes describing her harder because she feels so self-explanatory for me!

Well, correction, four parties. I wouldn't want to go to Djura about the hunt ever even if my life depended on it. But aren't those girls who talk to Maria all the time close to your ages? Maybe they can help.
I do NOT want to kill??
Which makes the powder keg a valid alternative.

bb thoughts and headcanons : second batch, for djura's clique and then some. because i don't think any of them were powder kegs actually, or rather...
1) Unless this is translation shenanigans, we are only told Djura was "known through his contact with" the late Kegs, and if he was the last of them perhaps the game would have insisted on it just a bit more ?? Regardless, my take is that he was training under them, but Old Yharnam happened before he could earn the title in full. oopsie
2) Now for his 3 companions, in the order in which I think he met them :
Jozef : first of all, the reason I go for him for the alleged third companion is that I would much, much rather use an already existing NPC (especially an obscure one I can develop) than make up a new guy from scratch, and the charred set alone makes him our best lead, even with everything else I will discuss below.
So - he's a variant of hostile "Izzy's Admirer" hunters, all wearing the charred set and wielding the beastclaw... BUUUT considering it's on another beastclaw user that you loot the badge for Oto's workshop - the Kegs' predecessors - I suppose Oto and Izzy were collaborating to an extent ? With Archibald as well, considering both he and Izzy worked on DarkBeast material... unless, on the opposite, that made them rivals... but I'm straying here --
Headcanoning that Oto lived to see his workshop become the Kegs and that the latter respected him greatly - Djura included - it makes it possible to be a follower of both Izzy and the Kegs. However Jozef may wear the charred set, but he doesn't use any firearms, so he probably wasn't a Keg at all. However² nothing specified Djura's companions had to be Kegs, and were rather more likely followers of his philosophy. So my Jozef ends up a bit of a swiss army knife - an early Church recruit to serve with Loran's tomb prospectors, a hunter partaking in Izzy's experiments with beasthood, a friend to Oto and the Kegs, not much older than Djura, present for Old Yharnam but ultimately Taken By The Dungeons.
Djura's disciple, henceforth Ysle (old english for "ash", or so i've read) : I fully believe him sharing facedata with Simon was devs laziness, and I don't blame them for it - Simon has half his face hidden the entire time you know him and Ysle is not only hooded, but also not exactly easy to look at up close in-game. I joked about them being twins, but then thought it could actually work and went with it. Ysle would've started off as a Harrowed alongside Simon, and the two would not hesitate to "switch" to trick others and gain further information on the job. At some point Ysle would take interest in the Kegs' craftsmanship, but would only join Djura after the burning, both for said craftsmanship and ideology : I like the theory that it was the Church that poisoned Old Y to begin with to popularize ministration, and who better suited than Simon to find that out... he'd relay the discovery to Ysle and both would turn against the Church, even apart.
I was convinced Simon was not already dead in the Nightmare due to his opening lines to the player ("must've taken a wrong turn somewhere then // we're more alike than you think", to me it implies he came in deliberately rather than upon death). However I had come to the conclusion that those who end up in the nightmare/dream upon death don't age (Maria), unlike those who were brought in (Gehrman), but the twins' facedata makes them look young compared to Dju and most of all Brador whom I believe them to be contemporary of (edit 17/04 : the Bowblades's desc also reminds us that Simon was one of the first Church hunters)... either way, they were Taken By The Horrors roughly around the same period, but unlike Simon, Ysle eventually lost himself in his duty to protect the beasts and cannot be engaged with anymore.
Djura's ally, henceforth Brandr (old norse for "fire", or so i've read) : last one met, last one standing. My headcanons for him were built on two sources : Oodle's Must we burn it all which I absolutely recommend if you aren't put off by his ship with Dju, and the unused "Old Yharnam survivor" NPC whose dialogue I would've loved to hear in-game. So, Brandr - not a Keg, perhaps not a hunter at all before the burning happened, merely a local who's probably two steps removed from beasthood at all times, was stumbled upon by Djura once the latter returned to the scene of the crime and they struck a deal. fellas is it gay to remain by the side of a self-exiled man you know (participated in what) took everything from you
3) Still raking my brain over how the Kegs were branded heretics. I'd wager the Church conveniently blacklisted them after using them to do their dirty work, but on what account ? Of course they could have just made up anything, but they actually have groundwork here. I don't think it was protecting the beasts as I believe this was specific to Djura and a few others, not something that applied to the Kegs as a whole. Could it have been their connection to Izzy, whose weapon, filed under Church weapons in the Hunter's Dream storage box, is sealed within remote tombs and whose hunter tool deemed "forbidden" ? It's not too far-fetched to assume they and their followers also experimented with beast blood pellets, which are banned by the Church as well.
Let's compare with another craftsman... strangely enough, Tonitrus is listed under the (Hunter's) workshop weapons in the Dream's storage box , despite Archibald being explicitely stated to be part of the Church's workshop... Likely stationned in Yahar'gul, a secret faction of the Church, considering that's where you loot the thing to begin with, alongside many bolt papers dropped by the snatchers, and that you find a copy wielded by a Yahar'gul hunter. Right next to Old Yharnam too, with Paarl's arena considered within the latter. Despite his focus on electricity rather than bestiality, it sounds like Archibald might still have been on thin ice considering his title of "eccentric" and the fact his badge was crafted in secret.
The Beast Roar is cast by human vocal cords. The unused NPC tells us that in Old Yharnam's folklore, beast is the true form of man. The bestial hunter of Oto's workshop bears the same rune that Laurence was branded with in his pursuit of controlling beasthood... but was ultimately forbidden as well.
Perhaps the Church simply desired monopoly over research on beasthood...
-
a tl;dr (believe me, i needed it too) :
Oto : craftsman & hunter whose workshop would become the Powder Kegs, a rolemodel to Djura
Izzy : craftsperson, hunter and friend to Oto and the Kegs, who understood and explored the inherent beastly nature of man
Jozef : tomb prospector hunter, follower of Izzy and friend to Oto and the Kegs, a bit of a tutor to Djura
Djura : Keg in-training & hunter, understood the real nature of beasts and further connected the dots post-burning through each of his companions
Brandr : actual Old Yharnam local, believes in the inherent beastly nature of man, agreed to cooperate with Djura to defend what little remained
Ysle : hunter, former Harrowed, would have been a Keg in-training if the burning hadn't happened first, only Djura remained to teach him their skills
#headcanons#and theorish. sort of. but which part is which is not specified so good luck#please mind the 'and then some' by the time i finished the last paragraph i forgot who i was.#then i did a tldr and things were good again. yeet

After 97 (98 counting the wolf from the beginning) deaths, I can say that I FINALLY BEAT MY FIRST (90 percent) BLIND BLOODBORNE RUN. DID IT. SPOILERS FOR ENDING.
And so, this is the last Bloodborne Run update and I know I skipped much. Last update, I defeated Rom. Killed Master Logarious after learning you can just visceral attack him to stop him from going into his second phase, Alligned myself with the Vilebloods, gave Alfred the Summons and was shocked yet not shocked to see him going crazy (I didn’t expect him to turn the Queen to mush) and then turns out he just… dies at the altar. I was so sad to see that, my only friendly person just dead, probably by offing himself.
Played a game of tag with Micolash and died once to the people on the stairs, and found a glitch that he just stands right by the cell door when I was fighting off the skeletons and hit it, so I did not kill him the intended way but I did not want to play tag anymore it was 4am. Gained access to Upper Cathedral Ward, lost a lot of Insight by the brain suckers and fought the blue alien people in the Lumenflower Gardens, defeated Mergo’s Wet Nurse and went to check on the lady in white who peaced out after the boss.
The Dream’s on fire, went to the handicapped old man Gehrman at the tree and refused his offer, of which cured his kneecaps and slaughtered me throughly right before I would reach his Second Phase. Since it was endgame, I decided to explore more. Found the Altar of Despair and with the help of NPC acting as a distraction and the fact I was over leveled by this point, killed the Daughter of Cosmos and accidentally revived Queen Annalise making Alfred surely turn beyond the ‘grave’, I’m sorry man. Found the Darkbeast Paarl who by this point, was easily bodied and made peace with Djura, the man with the machine gun until I realized it is endgame, and me probably has loot. So I killed him, then the guy in the Forbidden Woods, and the other guy who came cause I killed the other guy and got a whistle out of it and forgot to kill the Ward man.
DLC was on sale and I am not counting those deaths literally, the hunters in the first arena wrecked me and their weapons have unfair range, Ludwig wrecked me, got a glow stick out of it, the two guys in the hall wrecked me. Got to the Research Hall and gave a woman some brain fluid, died many times to the Living Failures until I realized that the doors are a safe spot from the meteors. Then I met Lady Maria, she can fist my chest any day but wow was she easy with the Augur and just sticking close. Gascoigne does not teach you parrying, she does. Got lost in the Fishing Hamlet and called on online hunter to help me kill the fish giants, Orphan of Kos and Laurence.
With the DLC tackled along with my sanity slain over how damn hard it was, Gehrman was less tough and just when I thought I won, a creature appears as the Moon Presence and smashes me to pulp since I had barely any items left. I defeated it, and became a Black Leech and the Plain Doll is now the mother figure of a new Great One.
The End!
Game is maginificent and now that I can finally search up everything I missed a lot but I did a lot too. 10 out of 10, great music, hate/love gameplay and fun weapons. A wonderful first soulsborne experience. Hunter Hat, Cainhurst Armor, Hunter trousers, Knight Gloves and armed with my Threaded Cane and Holy Moonlight Sword. Currently in NG+, just beat Gascoigne and loving how you can sweep, but not without challenge still. Do I understand the lore? Probably not. But I am to get the refuse ending this time, and with the help of searching finally, try and get anything I missed. 57 Hours well spent!

[A video.
Maria the Absol is out of her Pokéball, and connected to Eileen via a leash. Gascoigne is with them both, cane extended and head slightly bowed.
"Alright. Henryk, Djura, and Viola watch the children, to make sure that they do not follow. Stay close, Gascoigne."
"I won't get lost, trust me," the man chortles. "I can always smell you. No forest, no matter how winding and twisting, can stop that."
"Precaution before regret." The Crow steps forward. The Absol follows. She sniffs the ground, trees, then the ground again. The light inside the forest is dim, most light not even piercing the foliage.
"I rescind my words. This forest... It hides your smell." Gascoigne sounds uncomfortable.
"Here. Hold my hand. You will not need to eviscerate something here." The camera wobbles. Then cuts out.]
