Can we get some Monix headcanons? 👉👈
Oh boy where to start it's kinda embarrassing. I am so glad you asked. I have an entire storyline planned out about them (me and my friend project our ocs onto them all the time. I love the babies.)
They are sadly a doomed from the start couple
In the beginning it was definitely a one-sided love at first sight sort of deal. Mono had a pretty intense puppy love crush on Six from the get-go meanwhile Six at the start did not like him whatsoever and was more focused on surviving begrudgingly becoming his survival partner when she wasn't in the mood to get close to anyone again.
They're kinda both mentally fucked up in the head. Mono has abandonment issues and Six has survivors guilt developed from not being able to save Rain and believing she was the cause of it. They both have their own issues that they need to work out but they try to help each other through their differences.
The first time Mono had caught Six displaying more childlike innocent behavior was when he followed her out to the shoreline where he had witnessed her knack and talent for being smart and crafty, taking broken things and fixing them. He learned about her affiliation towards music boxes when he witnessed her dancing with the ballerina attached to the music box after she had just fixed it in her natural element. Something about seeing her like that made his heart flutter. (Think about that music box scene from the first Tinkerbell movie but with Six)
OKAY! OKAY! WARNING THIS IS MY FAVORITE ONE BECAUSE OF HOW CUTE IT IS GAHHHH! The first time Six tries to sneak a peek at Mono's face while he is asleep is unsuccessful. The first time Six asks Mono about why he hides his face he goes on to explain that the reason he hides his face is because that the entire world sees him as a monster. Without taking it off his head she slips her hand underneath the paper bag to try and feel around for his facial features. After coming to the conclusion that he is normal she squishes his cheek and she responds with “it doesn't feel like a monster here” the one time where Six actually does something cute and wholesome. Either that or the reason how she knows he's not a monster is because monsters don't have hearts, and she can feel his beating in his chest perfectly.
Whenever Mono is feeling insecure or ashamed about his face Six will proceed to drown him in a sea of little pecks and kisses until any lingering doubts about his face are gone.
Six hunts for Mono and Mono cooks for Six. One time she brought him home a rat with the head decapitated from its body. Because of this he tries to introduce her to cooked foods and how much better they taste compared to raw food, since the only thing she seems to ever be capable of digesting is raw food. So he tries to get her to eat healthy. Six does not hog all of the food; she makes sure Mono can eat plenty too.
Six gets inspired by Mono so she really wants to try to do good although her attempts are a little misguided. Six sucks really bad at being a good person but she's trying.
Six is a biter. She chews her fingers and bites her knuckles as a nervous habit or when she is self-harming herself. Whenever Six is like that Mono will instead offer her his own hand, as he'd rather have her take out all of that pain and anguish she is feeling onto him rather than herself. Nobody said it was healthy.
Mono loves hearing stories about when she was a baby from her older brother RK (or either her adoptive father Roger only the og's will understand this) since he was abandoned at birth he never really got the opportunity to experience what a family really is about and have people in your life who care for you.
Mono has already planned ahead, as he has big plans for the future that involves them getting married and having several children together living happily ever after (He doesn't know where babies come from) Six can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed with his expectations and sometimes feels like he didn't keep her thoughts in mind, asking her what she wanted first and was wondering if she got a say in this. Because as his “future wife” don't you think she should also get a say about whether or not they're going to have future children? Mono's dream of having many kids is meanwhile a nightmare for Six on the contrast. But don't worry when they get older and become adults they compromise about what the other wants.
For as much as Mono and Six love each other and have feelings for each other they struggle with communication as it isn't exactly as healthy as RK and Rain's relationship. They are both just shy and awkward little babies that don't know how to communicate their feelings of what the other wants. Which is one of the things that got them into trouble more times than once was the little miscommunication. Both of them had to keep secrets to keep the other safe in their eyes.
Six snuggles and is such a cuddle bug in her sleep! She cannot sleep without having Mono by her side or something to snuggle up against. It's just not the same without it. She is so tiny when she snuggles up against the lanky boy.
Mono and Six have nightmares on a regular basis as they were pretty common occurrences, Mono having nightmares about future events before they happen about Six abandoning him and Six having nightmares about all of her dead friends haunting her in her dreams and already pre-existing trauma. Whenever the other has nightmares there will be a long process with many stages in which the other will do nothing but hold them close, consoling them and offering them comforting words until they are reassured that there is nobody else here but them in their arms and that they are not at that terrible awful place.
Six is asexual and Mono is bisexual. And they both willingly accept each other for who they are, as Mono wouldn't care if Six was a boy, or a girl, or a worm he will accept her for whatever she is.
Now this is self-indulgent but tickle fights are a must between them. Sometimes if the Six is a little down in the dumps Mono will tickle her to try and lighten the mood. It's one of the few ways they can unwind together and have a chance to act like kids again. But Mono better expect Six to get him with some payback.
Six had faith in Mono, as he used to tell her stories about how he was going to fix the world and bring it back to the way it was before the corruption took over; they were both going to fix the world together. That was the first time Mono ever made Six feel a sense of hope, and to find out that he is the source of the corruption later she sees that as even more of a betrayal and thinks that he lied to her, that is one of the reasons that makes the betrayal all that much more heartbreaking.
Six realizes she has feelings for Mono around the time that he saves her from the collapsing building seconds right before the Thin Man kidnaps her.
Six is the one to initiate the first kiss. When Six gave him the first kiss she definitely did that thing where she lifted her leg because she is a little too short to be able to kiss Mono without standing on the tips of her toes in order to reach him. It took Mono a full thirty seconds to process what just happened, before quickly soon after Six was trying to resuscitate his useless butt with the defibrillator after she caused him to have a literal heart attack and die on the spot. Instant K.O.
Just two little kids against the world with nothing more pure and sweet than innocent puppy love.

*walks up to the ask box with a paper bag over my head (Like Mono from little nightmares) and places my ask before disappearing into the dark alleyway*
Once when MC was visiting the human world. The brothers decided to go with them to stalk 'keep an eye in them'
So they're all following behind MC, trying to be inconspicuous but failing miserably because they kept fighting. But thank Dia, MC though they were just delulu. (Mc internal monologue: "I'm so far gone, I can still hear them arguing" *shakes head and keeps walking*)
The plan backfires when MC stops in front of a bakery that Beel has already set his sights on. Beel just marches up to the bakery and goes inside and MC just watches him go in like (0////0)ayo what! why that boy here!?. So they follow after him and it results in the two leaving the bakery hand in hand on their way back to MCs place (Beel conveniently forgetting to mention that his brother's were with him) And all the bros are just standing there like (o_o)
❇ Levi and Belphie decide to give up and the go back to the Devildom sulking.
❀ Luci and Tannie decide to make the most of their visit by going to some stores to get some items they wanted.
❁ Mammon and Asmo refuse to give it up and end up getting arrested for their suspicious behavior and Luci has to come bail them out (after a night in jail oc)
~🍒
Carful in the dark alley XD
Not MC assuming they’ve simply lost it helpshsk- Fair enough tho, they’ve spent too much time around demons-
Plot twist Beel planned it and walked in knowing MC would follow him and he could get you all to himself~ (smart bby)
Levi ‘n Belphie would go home to cry and spam text MC trying to get attention away from Beel- jealous boys XD
Lucifer also stays behind to make sure Beel doesn’t cause any trouble and to spy on what exactly Beel does with MC Satan found a book store he’s happy!
Mammon ‘n Asmo having to share a jail cell for a night, is an absolute nightmare for the guard 💀 they might just pay Lucifer to take the two away!!!
and the whole time all the other brothers are busy being, well themselves- Beel and you are having some quality time!! Could be a sweet date or spending time at your place, Beel’s just happy to have you all to himself for a change!

Media: Little Nightmares
Characters: Six, Mono, Thin Man
Fic Type: AU
Summary: Six isn't the only one with secrets.
Spoilers for Little Nightmares 2!
Mono could only watch as Six got taken from her hiding spot under a table. Her terrified shriek rang in the boy's ears, repeating like a broken record and making his head hurt. He burrowed deeper into the darkness of the shadows and waited until he saw the Thin Man glitch away with Six in hand to pull himself out from underneath the bed and back onto his feet.
The small boy started walk to the door before stopping and turning to stare at where Six was taken from just moments before. After a moment silent staring, he set his jaw and headed off back to the room with the TV and warped through to a new room. He clambered to his feet, made his way outside and, after a lot of running, jumping, and swinging, found his way into a post office. Mono traversed through the office with minimal struggle and baited the viewer away from the TV in her living room. He crossed the plank, climbed up the ladder, tricked another viewer, and warped through another television set. He kept traversing the Pale City, seeming suspiciously at ease. He showed neither care nor fright for the Viewers that he should have been terrified of.
He had no issues deceiving viewers or hopping over electrified puddles of storm water. He didn't care about the Viewers who so thoughtlessly threw themselves off of buildings just to be closer the the Broadcast. He moved through the city without struggle or concern, appearing rather calm for somebody who was trying to find their recently kidnapped friend.
He felt no fear as he zig-zagged between store shelves and avoided the manic crowd behind him. He never flinched at the crashing and thudding of shelves hitting the floor or Viewers crushing each other in the frenzy. He hopped through the TV and tumbled out of the other screen onto the cold, hard floor rather gracelessly, but quickly recovered and stood back up. After brushing some dust off of his coat and hat, he made his way into another room containing a TV with the dark figure of Six inside.
She had her hands pressed against the screen, banging on it in an act of futile desperation. Upon seeing the girl's image, Mono walked up to the screen, but instead of helping, he simply stood and gazed upon the screen that had claimed his friend. He stared at the silhouette, doing nothing until he saw the thin shadow of a boney hand reaching out to grab her. As the hand appeared, the boy raised his own, however he did not reach out to help. He merely waved and giggled as the girl he'd pretended to befriend got ripped away from the screen with a burst of static. He smiled at the sight, though nobody could see it underneath his paper bag.
After watching Six disappear, Mono took a few steps back from the static-filled screen and gazed upon the tall figure that emerged from the monitor. His face was set in an expression of expecting praise, hidden behind his paper bag.
"You did well, child," he praised with a small smile.
The Thin Man emerged from the television and looked down at the small boy in front of him. crouching, he put his hand out before the boy, and in response, the boy to climb atop his palm and sat down. The man then rose to his feet and gave the boy's head a few gentle pats with the tip of his index finger. As he did, he spoke in his deep, ever-glitching voice.
"Now, shall we see our 'guest?'" The man in the hat asked as the air flooded with the sound and feel of static.
Mono grinned giddily and thanked the man vigorously, for he was always eager to please his caretaker. The man chuckled at the boy's excitement, having taken a liking to his younger self.

I finally finished the first chapter for my found family au fic (1768words.)
Reblogs are greatly appreciated!
.
“I’ll be back in an hour,” Raine told Pretty as she walked out the door. The weather was nice, Raine couldn’t get why Pretty didn’t want to come. The sun shone through the branches.
As Raine stepped the leaves and sticks crunched beneath her. Raine could hear plenty of bugs but she couldn’t hear anything dangerous yet.
She walked past the river and then heard a fall. She could've headed home to avoid trouble but curiosity got the better of her, so she walked towards the sound while preparing to fight just in case.
The area it came from was muddy with a tall steep hill, at the bottom was a kid -who looked like they’re one who fell- getting up. They were pale and covered with mud and were wearing a yellow raincoat that was too big for them… wait.
“Is that my coat?” Raine asked, The kid turned around and their eyes widened. They had 3 scars on their face and had eyebags, they had black hair.
Looking at the new condition of the coat, it didn’t look as well as it used to. “Actually I don’t want it,” Raine said, the kid still didn’t respond and just stared with wide eyes. “Are you los-” Raine paused, the kid just suddenly hugged her.
She didn’t know what to do, there was an awkward silence for a moment until Raine pushed the kid out of the hug. She was about to ask why they did that but something seemed familiar about them.
It hit Raine who this was.
“You!” Raine exclaimed and slightly shook it. It put their hand up and did a small wave. In all honesty, Raine thought they would’ve died, they seemed too kind for their own good.
There was something different though, something about them seemed sadder and she couldn’t place her finger on it. Maybe it was the new scars or that the light that used to be in their eyes were gone.
“You’re alive!” Raine said, slightly shaking them again.
“You too!” The kid signed. Raine took her arms off their shoulders.
“What’s your name?” Raine asked, “I’m Raine.”
The kid put up Six fingers.
“How’d you survive,” Six signed, “I thought Pretender killed you.”
Pretender, Raine almost forgot that used to be Pretty’s name, Raine made a mental note to let her know that she isn’t called that anymore.
“The water cushioned my fall,” Raine said.
“What about you,” Raine asked, “What happened after the nest?”
Six looked a little sad at the question.
“I don't want to talk about it,” she signed.
Raine could tell that Six has changed, but she’ll be better off like this than how she was before, so it’s fine.
Before either of them could continue their conversation, two other kids-at least one was a boy- came out of the bushes.
One of the two kids had a paper bag on their head, they were wearing mostly brown, and had a trenchcoat. The other had black hair and was pale with slightly gray skin, he was shorter than Six and the other one, he had a blue jacket with a zipper on it and on his ankle was a shackle.
“Six!” The one with the bag said but then paused upon seeing Raine, “Who are you?”
Raine considered just throwing the question back at them but seeing they were Six’s friends, she might as well be a little polite.
“I’m Raine” She said, “who are you two?”
“I’m Mono,” The one with the bag said, “He’s Runaway Kid,”
“Hi,” Runaway Kid whispered.
“Hi,” Raine said. She wasn’t sure if she should bring them to the house so they could stay, 5 is a big group that's a lot of people to consider food for, plus Pretty might not want extra people. But Raine felt bad for Six and she was sorta worried for them after the whole nest situation.
“Let’s head back to my place so you guys can get some food,” Raine said, “Six, I’ll catch you up while we get there.”
“Mhm” Six responded and Mono ran over and grabbed her hand. “Okay,” Runaway kid said.
The four of them started to walk to the house as Raine started talking.
“So Pretender is called Pretty now,” Raine said.
“She named herself Pretty?” Mono asked.
Six let go of Mono’s hand, “That’s not surprising if you knew her.”
“No,” Raine said, “I named her that.”
Six looked confused, granted Pretty tried to kill Raine last time Six was around.
“You named her Pretty?” Runaway Kid asked.
Raine could guess why he said ‘her’ like that but it’s fine, Pretty probably also thinks like that. Wait, it doesn’t matter if she does, it’s not like Raine likes her.
“Yeah, I did,” Raine said, “so?”
Raine felt a tap on her arm, it was Six.
“Can we just call her Prett?” Six asked.
“If she’s fine with it, sure,” Raine said.
“Anyways name aside,” She said, “there’s an abandoned town nearby so there’s an easy way to get supplies.”
“There’s even kid sized clothes,” Raine said.
“Despite this, since there’s five people staying here now, we should be aware of how much we eat,” Raine said.
The group stepped over some big roots and got to the house. It was small compared to most houses nowadays and just in general, it was made of wood and had two stone blocks that were set there as stairs seemingly after the place was built.
Raine opened the door.
“Hi, I’m back,” Raine said, “also I found 3 kids, they’re staying with us for the night!”
Pretty looked up from her book, “What?”
RK looked at Pretty, “Hey,” he said.
Pretty glared at him, “Hi.”
Rk and Mono walked in and started to look around, before Six joined them Raine whispered something to her.
“Do not remind her that you tried to kill her.”
Six nodded and then left to join the other two.
“Hey Pretty,” Raine said, “They wanna give you the nickname Prett, is that fine?”
Pretty didn’t look too thrilled about any of this, “Sure,” She said.
“ ‘Kay,” Raine said.
She turned over to the other three, RK was looking at the rooms while Mono and Six were talking, Guessing from what Raine could pick up on what Mono was whispering, they were talking about her.
“You guys know which room is which right?” Raine asked. Neither Mono nor Six answered. “I do,” RK said, “That’s the bathroom, and I’m guessing we’ll be staying in that empty one,” he said whilst pointing to each room.
“Yep!” Raine said, “Well, you three can do whatever until I find dinner.”
“We should talk outside about this,” Runaway said. He walked to the door and gestured for his friends to follow him.
“Okay!” Mono said.
Six looked like she didn’t want to but she forgot to let go of Mono’s hand so she got pulled out anyways.
The door shut behind them and it was just Raine and Pretty.
“I thought you said you didn’t like groups,” Pretty said.
“I still don’t,” Raine said, “It’s not like they’re living with us forever.”
She thought about it then mentally corrected herself, ‘It’s not like Runaway and Mono are staying with us forever’. It wasn’t fair to Six that even after how nice it was to Raine, she betrayed it and convinced it she was dead. The second thing was an accident but still. The least she could do was let it stay.
Raine walked to the fridge and opened it to see what she could cook. There was some stuff for sandwiches, yeah that’s good enough.
“Pretty,” Raine called, “can you come over here to help me make sandwiches?”
“Why do you help with sandwiches?” Pretty asked?
“Because I don’t want to do everything,” Raine said.
“Fine,” Pretty said and got up from the couch.
Pretty walked over and Raine gestured to the jelly, peanut butter and bread. Pretty didn’t add enough peanut butter and way too much jelly.
She looked over at Pretty herself.
Maybe she did fit her name.
“I’m done,” Prett said, “What are you looking at?”
“Oh, uh, nothing.” Raine said, “Let’s just get those three now.”
She opened the front door.
“Hey,” Raine called, “We got sandwiches.”
RK, Mono and Six got up from where they were sitting and walked inside.
Prett handed them the food.
“So since the room you guys’ get doesn’t have anything yet,” Raine said, “I’m going to go to town to get stuff.”
She left the house and went into the woods, the leaves on the trees were falling off. Raine tried to avoid most of the ones on the ground just in case they were crunchy.
She thought about how she’s been feeling about Pretty lately, then she realized.
Shit.
She can’t have a crush, that’s terrible. She’s seen terrible stuff happen to friends, why would she want a relationship? No, no, she’s not dealing with this. She can just shove this down, easy peasy.
After what felt like half an hour of walking she started seeing the faded road, it was cracked and plants were growing through it.
She knew she was there when she say the sign:
“Welcome to —-)”
The last word was faded. She walked into the town, the streets were lined with apartments and stores made out of brick.
She walked into the one she got her and pretty’s blankets from.
Raine found 3 cozy looking blankets, she didn’t really need 3 for the long run but for now, maybe her, Six and Pretty could share them when the boys leave.
She would’ve got pillows too but that’s too much to carry.
The walk back was the same as the way there, she could easily remember what the trees and other plants looked like on that path.
When she got back it was sundown
She opened the door again.
“Hi,” Prett said, taking a break from her conversation with Runaway and then immediately going back. Mono and Six were sitting on the other side of the couch away from the other 2. Mono was whispering to them. Looking back over to the kitchen she saw there was a sandwich, uneaten.
She headed to the younger kids’ room to set their ‘beds’. She yawned when she was done.
She decided that this was a good time to sleep for a little bit.
“I’m heading to bed,” Raine said, and headed into her room before anyone could respond.
She plopped down on her blankets, and immediately fell asleep into a light but nightmare filled sleep
As always.

Cuddly
"Y'know, I never expected you to be this...cuddly." a voice rang out in the middle of the night, stirring the boy beside him awake.
Mono sat up, taking a second to regain his senses, he wasn't going to lie and say that he wasn't a *little* upset he'd been woken up. Just because Seven was the one who woke him doesn't change that fact. Between the constant nightmares and dangers outside, sleep was getting harder and harder to come by.
Seven could feel those dark eyes glaring into him even with that paper bag on. He gulped. "Ah, sorry did I wake you?" Seven's voice was shaky as he spoke, subconsciously fiddling with whatever he could find, something he did whenever he was nervous.
Mono sighed. There's really no reason to stay mad, not when they had other things to worry about. "S' fine..." Mono slurred, Seven knew it wasn't though, they both did.
Seven was starting to feel bad about even speaking up in the first place. Until Mono's voice snapped him out of his guilt.
"At' was it you even said?"
Seven held back a chuckle at Mono's slurred speech. "I said you're more cuddly than I thought you'd be."
Since Mono insisted on wearing that damn paper bag all the time, Seven's had to rely on body language to understand how his friend was feeling, and by the way his shoulders slumped, Seven could tell he was disappointed.
"I-," Mono paused, looking down at the tattered blanket they were sharing. "You say that like it's a bad thing." He mumbled underneath his breath, almost too quiet for Seven to hear.
Seven felt a sinking feeling in his stomach, Mono didn't just sound disappointed, he sounded sad. Almost...hurt. But, why? What had Seven done?
Seven scratched the back of his neck. He really wasn't the best at comforting people, but he didn't want Mono to be sad. "It-its not a bad thing...it just...surprised me. No offense, but when we first met I thought you wanted to bite off my hand."
Mono's head popped up, almost as if in revelation, before he looked back down, holding his arm embarrassed. "Yeah...sorry about that. I've just–I've been through a lot."
Seven frowned, putting his hand on Mono's shoulder as a comforting gesture. "You can talk to me about it if you want. I-I mean if you don't want to, that's okay too. I just think you might...feel better if you do. I won't judge if that's what you're scared of,"
Anybody else would probably be unnerved at having two black cut out eyes look at you. But Seven wasn't, because he knew underneath that paper bag, Mono was smiling at him.

// mono believes the world hates him. this is an extremely irremovable opinion. one would not look much into it, what with the world he lives in; horrifying beings and twisted people plague the land, and the signal is rampant in the city. it would be easy to assume that he saw how the cruelty of the world had no bounds.
however, mono's perception is actually set firmly in guilt. this boy is not as innocent as he seems. to truly understand, one would need to know the stories he desperately conceals...
mono awoke in the suburbs of the pale city, inside the townhouse where he lived. it did not take long for him to realize that his parents were MIA, and that he was on his own. mono fortified his house, staying inside as long as he could before lack of supplies caused him to venture out on "grocery trips". unfortunately, there were beasts rampant in his neighborhood that looked like severed electrical cords---these beasts were cord-leeches, and they fed off of anything they could get their mouth feelers on.
one day, a group of the leeches followed mono back to his house after a supply run. the worms pursued him through his house, and he was forced to leave it. they chased him through the streets of his neighborhood, eventually cornering him in an abandoned HOA office. one of them quickly wrapped itself around him, causing him to panic. mono flailed and he ended up pressing his hands against the screen of the office's lopsided television.
he wanted away, and the signal saw him. the television burst to life, shocking the boy and the leech. the leech died. the boy did not. mono could not tear himself from the screen. it was pulling him in, trying to eat his soul as it had done to many others. mono fought. he fought and wrangled the connection, and he won. he forced the signal to take him elsewhere, but not without penalty: his eyes were burned by the signal. after emerging from another television, mono could not see for a day. when his vision was restored, he found that his eyes were wholly gray, sclera and all.
mono did not mind his altered appearance, at first. he desired to find companions to refuge with, and sought out a group of kids. he resided with them for a time, but his curiosity towards the televisions made them wary. one day, they tried to confront him about it. they startled mono whilst he was attempting to tune the connection, and he accidentally electrocuted a few of them to death.
the others fled. word spread fast between groups about the blank-eyed evil. scared that he would be alone forever because of this, mono tracked down the remainder of the group he stayed with to try and explain that he didn't mean to hurt anyone. when he did find the group, they ran from him. they ran and would not listen when he cried out to warn them of the lurking dangers, and shortly afterwards they were gone forever at the hands of viewers.
he tried to find other kids to reside with. some had heard the rumors, some had not. even on the chance he did team up with a few others, disaster would strike and mono would always be the lone survivor. it did not take long for him to don a bag and coat, as well as limit his contact with televisions. he felt safer under his paper-thin protection since nobody could see his face. after wandering alone for a long time, mono found a group that welcomed him. they stayed in an orphanage, having fortified it. for months, everything was okay. mono was finally in a community where he could help others.
of course, nothing lasts forever.
mono gradually became the subject of suspicion; there had been frequent sabotages to the defenses, and mono was a prime suspect due to being the newest kid. he wouldn't stand for this injustice and refuted the accusations, starting a heated argument between he and a few members of the group. it wasn't long before the heated part became literal. the orphanage was lit aflame, and a devious beast that was actually responsible for the sabotages began to pursue the kids.
mono doesn't remember much about that day other than the facts that he narrowly escaped with his life and that he knew he would never see the other kids again. his lone wandering continued for a long time, the boy trying to stay alive and figure out how to wrangle the signal further. eventually, he would tumble through a television into a grassy forest. we all know where it goes from there.
mono believes that the world is cruel to him. things were good for a while after he hid his face, so he's certain that hiding is what he must do. if he doesn't, then the world will see him again and cause everything to go bad. he's terrified that someone else would get hurt again because of that.

Now, a less intellectual post...
Imagine if you will, Mono has all these complex psychological reasons for hiding his face... He has very severe feelings around it, delusional paranoia, misery goading him. Believes, he really and truly must keep it hidden! It's bad... the world is scary... Do not look at me-!!
Now imagine, a completely unintended side effect is that he has created an unimaginably alluring mystique around what his face looks like. Six is forced to, ponder, endlessly, what is it that he could be hiding from her? Something tragic... a deformity? Illness? She could sympathize enough with the possibility. But who knows, really... This boy who rescues her, who she's steadily come to trust... What could that face look like, as he's harshly tugging her to and fro... as he's eagerly calling heyyy to her? Doesn't she wish she could know...
Mono's little paper bag, I imagine toes a line between endearing (simple... familiar) and also eerie (static, expressionless.) It's always going to be obfuscating the direction of his gaze.... His thick coat collar in tandem with the mask tends to swallow up his neck, so subtle head tilts could be quite hidden. I think sometimes, he seems enigmatic, and not as reassuring as he would imagine himself to be. Six wouldn't really ever know what he's expressing, positive or negative... in lulls of silence, there's no way to know. I imagine, oooonly sometimes there's a girlish wonder about what face he's making... but it's hard to indulge... Six can only be so flattering to herself.
Nevertheless, I think there's this... pining... created through circumstance. Something that makes the heart go doki doki, at times. I mean, if Mono drew nearer, there could be a glint of light that catches his eyes, subtly... It could be ominous feeling, still quite vague and enshadowed... but also so intriguing... whatever barest details she could make out. Behind those eyeholes, he has eyes... two eyes in his skull, the same as she does. She has to wonder if she'll ever see them up close.
Very sad that, when the time comes, she won't really be able to dwell on all her past whimsical notions... Or maybe, it only adds to the sting of the reveal, that she had any kind of dreamy emotions... It's tragic and romantic to think about it all... 💔

Sorry this took so long. Also this is only the second one for now. I'll do the firat one later.
I'm starting with the second game because it happens first, story wise.
So in Little Nightmares 2 you start as a boy who comes out of a T.V. . You wear a trenchcoat and a paper bag over your head. The boys name is Mono. You're in a world full of people who are much bigger than you (they are like 20x bigger it's insane) and are trying to kill you for their own reasons. The first guy because of taxidermy, some (most) as a snack, some just because you exist and so on and so forth. Throughout the game there are a lot of puzzles you have to solve to get through each chapter that I'm not going to explain cause it took me like 20+ hours to finish it.
Back to the story!!
Chapter 1:
You get to the first guys house - The Hunter - and you find another kid whose trapped and playing with a music box in his basement. Her name is Six. You break her out (rather aggresively, with an axe) and you and her have to work together no matter how much she doesn't trust you at first. You need each other, you both realize, and care very deeply very quickly.
Chapter 2:
You get to the school, where Six is taken by some of The Bullies (students) who are weird pinoccio glass creatures so they don't care about you at all. Or anyone, they're literally insane. So you have to go through the whole school to save her from them. When you do you check to make sure she's okay. She does and you hold hands with her and escape together. The Teacher, the big boss girl in this, has stretchy neck powers btw.
Chapter 3:
The next place is the Hospital. (The most annoying part of the game imo I HATED this part!) The enemies in this part are manakin like things that have been brought to life somehow and move in the dark. You have to flash your flashlight on them so they don't get you and it's so long and there are so many and I hate it sm! The worse part is Six isn't even with you half the time, you have to do it yourself because she stayed behind because she couldn't come with you. There are so many parts just in this part and it took me 50 tries to pass it!
Anyway, so after that part your still not done in the hospital, cause there's The Doctor, whose the big boss guy! He was the easiest fucking part! You have to sneak around him a lot and it's a chase sequence afterwards that leads to him in an incinerator and you burn him alive! Now, you can leave the horrid place!
Chapter 4:
I haven't mentioned before that throughout the game there are TV's everywhere, some broken, some just don't work or aren't on, and a bunch of the TVs are on and the enemies in this, The Viewers, are mesmorized by the TV's. If you don't get to close they leave you alone.
But throughought the game, some of the TVs give off a frequency to Mono and you have to go up to the TV and tune the transmition. When you do you go into the TV and are in a hallway, leading to the door but Six pulls you out before you can get to it. You get closer everytime you go in, and regret when you finally get to the door and open it because the tall man sitting in the chair chases you and takes Six.
Annoyed and tired of being scared and helpless he learns he can teleport through the TV's. He finds a universal remote that can turn on and off any TV. You go through more of The Viewers and puzzles until you get to a place where Six is begging you for help through a TV. You try to pull her out but The Thin man pulls her back into it and goes after him. He runs for a while, until he's tired of running and fights The Thin Man with his TV (???) Powers and wins!! (Coolest part in the whole game!!)
He brings The Signal Tower to him with his powers to go into the TV Realm to save Six once and for all, nothings holding him back!!
Chapter 5:
You have to go through confusing glowing doors and follow the music depending on the door to teleport until you find her. And she's distorted and huge but she's scared. You have to destroy her music box, the thing that gives her comfort in this time in her life.
He has to hit it with an axe a bunch to get her back to normal. He does, eventually, but by that time the eyes, the eyes that keep watch on everyone, are everywhere and they start chasing them. They run and run and run as the buildings and furniture falls apart. They keep going and Six is at an edge where there used to be a pathway. She reaches forward and Mono jumps and holds onto her hand.
It's great. It's fine. The doorway is right behind Six, if she just pulled him up-
But she lets go. She stares him straight in the eyes as he falls until she can't see him and gets up to walk through the door.
He lands on gross gooy eyes and flesh and finds a chair. When he sits in it the eyeballs start closing in on him and he at least has some of his ability left to change whats surrounding him. He's in a blank room with nothing but the chair. He waits... and waits... and waits... and waits... and waits...
The door to the hallway closes as he sends his younger self back through the TV, waiting for him to open the door for The Thin Man that he always was.
Some additional info -
. They're 9. Well at the beginning, obviously.
. There are these things called Glitches/Glitched Kids that Mono absorbs throughout the game. They look like shadow figures of kids that just glitch. Idk what it has to do with the lore, but I'm trying to figure it out. There's a secret ending if you get all of them.
. You can collect hats during the game and put them on! I love that little detail!
im so sorry this took me so long to answer my brain has been.. braining
but that all sounds really cool!!

My Little Nightmares au:
It takes place in a alternate dimension called The Constant, which works similarly to The Constant from Don't Starve. Children are suddenly transported there in the dead of night, Stranger Things style. They will eventually either die or become a monster. All of this is Flesh Walls doing, using The Transmission to carry out its goals. Even the landscape has been warped by The Transmission, becoming large like most of the monsters who roam it. (So the kids are regular sized.) It used to be like our dimension, until The Transmission corrupted it and its residents. Eventually it ran out of victims, thus the kidnappings.
Enter Six. Six has amnesia, and has no memory of her life before. But she knows this isn't home, and is determined to find a way back.
The first chapter is the DLC. Six replaces RK. But at the end, instead of being turned into a nome, The Lady tries to separate her soul from her body. However she only succeeds in separating a fragment of her soul. This fragment of her soul becomes Dark Six. (The Glitching Remains and Shadow Kids aka Masked Remains were also created from fragments of children's souls, although those children are usually long dead.) Because she is missing a piece of her soul, she experiences extreme bouts of hunger that worsened over time. (The reason she ate the Nome is because her hunger had worsened to the point that only something living could satiate it. Not that she didn't feel guilty.) In the ending scene, instead of finding a sausage, she finds a lighter.
The second chapter is Little Nightmares 1. It is the exact same, no changes. (She was brought to the starting point by the Nomes after she passed out.)
The third chapter is Little Nightmares 2. (Six ended up in The Wilderness after accidentally teleporting through the tv on the shore where the boat dropped her off.) Six takes Mono's place, and Mono takes Six's place. (The reason she decides to help him is because unlike in The Maw this was an ideal moment to team up.) Instead of the Six finding her raincoat scene, it's Mono finding his paper bag. (He wasn't wearing it in the beginning. Without the bag he looks like Runaway Kid in Mono's clothes. ) She wears a girl Bully's head instead of a boy Bully's head. Mono's Glitching Remains lead her to the tower, so she can free him. Instead of taking off the hat during The Thin Man death scene, Six pulls down her hood. Monster Mono looks like Monster Six but with Mono's clothes. The reason the room contains stuff from The Maw is because The Transmission was taunting Six. Six defeats Monster Mono, but instead of him returning to normal, he dies. (She had to kill him as it was the only way to save them both.) Six escapes the tower. Cue secret ending scene. When Six is thrown out of the tv during this scene, her hood falls back over her head. Dark Six turns toward the picture of The Maw, indicating where she came from. Her hunger, which had been satisfied the entire time because she had eaten The Lady, returns.
Six has a very similar personality to Ellie. She's a chaotic, violent, feral gay who cusses a lot.

@devouraes spoke : “ wait . did you hear that ? ”
Tumblr media
it's quiet . too quiet . mono can't profess to enjoy the silences that hang heavy in the air between their encounters with the overgrown horrors of this world ... his eyes often wander to catch fleeting glimpses of six as they walk alongside one another . he smiles reservedly when she meets his gaze . though his countenance is hidden from view , masked by the paper bag , his small form visibly perks and something about him brightens imperceptibly to betray contentment regardless .
his mouth feels dry , his throat feels tight . the boy swallows thickly , trying to muster the nerve to speak .
... about what , though ? neither of them want to dissect the tragedy that has comprised their lives thus far ; lingering on the matter of the monsters and danger lurking around every corner will not make for good conversation at all . yet his too tender heart tugs desperately , yearning for connection .
Tumblr media
" hey ... " he starts softly . a sharp intake of breath . mono wrings his fingers , anxious and fidgety . he doesn't want to look overly keen - come across clingy and overbearing . not when six herself is so determined and independent . if she comes to think he's anything less than as competent and cool as she is , she might leave , and then he'd be alone again , and he can't -
mono is abruptly jerked from his internal bout of fretting as six's posture stiffens , as she stops short in their stroll through the building and addresses him . his brow furrows at her widened eyes . she speaks out : ' wait . did you hear that ? '
" wha - ? ummm ... " mono blusters .
he allows the discussion to lapse into quietude once again , if only for a moment ... tilting his head ever so slightly as he listens . his gaze flicks this way and that cautiously , his chest clutching with a feeling of utter dread . he can't hear anything . but he's inclined to trust the girl's judgement ; better safe than sorry .
Tumblr media
drawing closer to her in a subconsciously protective gesture , mono shakes his head uncertainly . " i ... i didn't hear it . no . d'you think something else is here ? "
