Yes, It Is Just Like The Nazis

Hey so remember Anne Frank? The Jewish young girl who hid in an attic and was killed by the Nazis? The emblematic person we think of when we think of victims of the Holocaust? 

She did not die in a gas chamber or in a death camp. She died in a ‘temporary’ detention center for the mass deportations which preceded the death camps. She was in that camp because a patriotic neighbor ratted her out to the German deportation force. She died, not of a bullet to the back of the head or choking on gas, but of typhus. She contracted typhus because the Nazis couldn’t realistically deport people at the rate they wanted to, because before the death camps their infrastructure couldn’t handle the sudden influx of ethnic minorities they had decided to imprison, and because they didn’t care about the consequences of that so their deportation detention centers were unhygienic and prisoners were underfed and overcrowded. 

And she was picked up by the deportation force not because she was an illegal citizen but because, just like the US is doing with asylum seekers, she was part of a formerly recognized class of citizens who were legally redefined to lack citizenship by a new administration. 

Anne Frank is exactly like the children who have already died in the United State’s detention camps. Exactly. Down to the very last detail. There. Is. Not. A. Single. Difference. 

So unless you want to fucking tell me that Anne goddamn Frank was not a victim of the Holocaust, y’all can shut the fuck up with that “stop making concentration camp comparisons, you’re diminishing the suffering of the Holocaust” bullshit.

Twitch has put out an announcement that they will limit streamers to 100 hours of highlights and uploads, deleting videos past that on April 19, 2025.

We've received concerned messages, so I wanted to clarify what I could.

First, as always, we are open to working with any MCYT creators who want assistance in archiving or recovering their content. We have done so in the past!

Second, to address a couple of specific people who have generated concern:

Cellbit: While he archives his streams to Twitch, he archives them as past broadcasts, not highlights or uploads. His past broadcasts will not be deleted as part of this change. I can additionally confirm that we have 720p60 backups of Cellbit's QSMP VODs, but these are just a backup (not uploaded and added to the spreadsheets) because he has an anti-reupload policy:

Philza: Unfortunately, Philza has a lot of Twitch videos that will be deleted. The good news is that Mercy (the YouTube VOD channel manager) has all of his public Twitch videos saved. (They have also uploaded to the VOD channel the videos Philza is comfortable with.) The primary loss concern is Philza's private videos. He said on stream today that he is working on saving those himself, but that he has highlights going all the way back to 2009, so that's a daunting project. My heart goes out to him because of what can only be an overwhelming and emotional project to take on.

That's all of the relevant information I'm aware of, but please feel free to reach out if there's anything further we can assist with.

My fellow American hobby bakers, demoralized by egg prices and scarcity and how you will make the American apple pie or the chocolate chip cookie, fear not. I have spent many years turning regular baking recipes vegan for my corrupt and traitorous sister who last week ate a salmon cream cheesed roll. There are many, many substitutes for eggs including but not limited to:

Mashed banana: best added to compliment flavors of whatever it is you're baking (peanut butter, chocolate) make sure it's MUSHY and ripe

Apple sauce: again, best with complimentary flavors (cinnamon, brown sugar) use unsweetened and have the rest as a snack

The big boy champ, ground flaxseed: flavorless, though it does darken your batter/ dough a bit. Bags found next to cornstarch and almond meal, etc. Instructions on how to use right on the bag! Make sure to let the flaxseed water combo sit in a separate bowl until it has the consistency of mucus 👍

Now with all of these you MUST add a bit more leavener, they don't have the lil bit of lift eggs give, so make sure you add a touch more baking powder. Sort of ok for brownies and cookies if you want them a bit more dense but KEY for cakes, quick breads, muffins and other things like that or she is gonna be SQUIDGY 🫡
