personally, i think the outcome would have been the same no matter what Macky did or acted. i think he spent most of those 500 years when Wukong was imprisoned thinking about the what if’s and hurting himself because of it. but then realizes it was always inevitable during their jttw fight and it hurts because both of them are stuck in their roles no thanks to “fate” and “destiny”
