maybe this is out of left field and i'm very incorrect but i think. listening to the magnus archives made my mom less homophobic
#i didnt know jonmartin was canon when i recc'd it to her and then i panicked but tbh it was fine . she seemed glad theyw ere together#the Me Being Queer situation is really weird altogether because i've been out for 7? years or something and we've reverted back to the#'pretending that nothing ever happened' mindset (esp w being trans) but um. shes cool with my sister and her gf#which feels REALLY shitty but. what can you do i guess#i want her to listen to wbg because the rep is just .. more vast but she started listening to talkshows so shes only really keeping up with#malev now which is tragic. we listened to like 2-3 when i was home over the summer and she seemed to like it#but i think maybe trying to get her into another show with 100+ episodes is unattainable after tma lol#i did send her the link to the grotto this morning though... we'll see#finch chirps

Q: Do you like getting prompts from your readers?
yeah! often whenever i do a prompt style ask game (like the "what would u write for this title") or do a ficlet for an actual prompt it can inspire me--G sent me a tex/outlaw prompt from a game once and that was what got the ball rolling on my current WIP of them!
T: Any fanfic tropes you can’t stand?
i don't feel too negatively abt most tropes but i just can't do fake dating. i don't know i just cannot.
Y: What are your thoughts on your personal satisfaction with something you’ve written vs. the popularity of your stories? Do you tend to be most satisfied with your most popular stories?
God no. But this is largely due to fandom size. My earlier malev fics were not my best but it's much larger than my other podcast fandoms so they dominate my most kudos'd fics
(my house md fic is actually my most popular by literally all metrics and i'm decently satisfied with it. but my best fic has been in wbg and midst which are small fandoms especially compared to house dhsfdhsjkf)
