My new house is surrounded by birds because I now live in the forest and they are genuinely distracting me from accomplishing work.
#I keep using the Merlin app to find out who is singing what#also I got distracted and watched the fish swimming around our koi pond for like 10mins this morning#yesterday I saw a towhee and started reading about their nesting habits because I think one is nesting just below the fence#I also found a website that lets you identify trees by following a leaf-flow chart so I keep wandering around the woods#figuring out what kinds of trees we have#like beyond the basic maple oak beech#I love living here so so so so much#also met some more neighbors yesterday#they seem cool#but the best part is how no cars go by my house ever#living on a dead-end road is THE BEST#I'm just super happy rn
