I have an urge to draw Gideon again but like. Better, this time. And with hair I can actually draw. Like, maybe if it was longer. And put into a low ponytail or something. And actually try harder with his facial hair. And jewelry (like horn caps and earrings), because I like drawing that kinda thing (if it wasn’t obvious considering that 99% of the characters I draw tend to have jewelry of some kind—usually earrings)

I also have an urge to draw Shepherd again. But better. And without shitty facial hair (he looks so goofy with the facial hair I gave him 😭😭😭). And maybe some silver horn caps. my notifs recently got me thinking about the very random concept of "what if there is a second, secret CHB. directly below normal CHB." and i ended up brainstorming it in the discord.

context for how this originated: one was just a random notif on my post talking about the tunnels under the Hephaestus cabin, and the other was some tags from @drksanctuary on my fake readriordan article mentioning the idea of a chthonic demigod camp.

so. my brilliant (read: "smashing my 2 brain cells together") idea: the elaborate and seemingly infinite tunnels under cabin 9 are remnants of an abandoned underground CHB that exists directly underneath camp. It's basically just normal CHB except in a big cave system, probably connected to the labyrinth somewhere and has the separate tunnels, and instead of the Olympian cabins it has chthonic cabins. there's probably also some infernal nymphs and etc down there too. since all chthonic demigods can learn to shadow-travel they probably used that to get down there, and a lot of chthonic demigods probably have geokinesis just by nature, ergo the tunnels (for when they don't want to shadow-travel, or can't).

in brainstorming with the discord we decided it could be cool if some of the cabins lined up with the above-ground cabins, either for thematic purposes or associations or whatever. Like there's maybe a Hermes and maybe Poseidon cabin in the chthonic CHB too that just link to the above-ground ones, but also like Persephone cabin lines up to Demeter cabin because of course it does. and maybe Hecate cabin lines up to Cabin 8 cause Artemis is sometimes 1/3rd of Hecate. Maybe Angelos cabin is beneath Cabin 1, and Zagreus cabin is beneath Cabin 12. Things like that.

The other ones i thought of were either Hypnos or Thanatos cabin lines up with Apollo, because twins, and the other is just right beside it (because twins). And Charon's cabin is beneath Cabin 9, ergo why the tunnel system connects to it (because Charon. Ferryman. Surface access. It makes sense in my brain).

okay, having now seen it in context, i remain convinced that the 12 lovers thing is bullshit. most of this is bullshit, in fact.

i mean, arrogant as he is -- and as much as he does enjoy speaking of the attention he gets from supposed fans -- the idea goes against how.... genuinely touched he seems all throughout his the beginning of his romance. not that that means that it's impossible for it to be true, but that would be quite a lot of effort put into maintaining a persona as a sincere partner while also still being a bit (read: a lot) of a self-absorbed shithead. like if he doesn't feel the need to hide the shithead part, why would he feel like he would need to come across as loyal to you, unless that part is also not really an act? why would he feel that putting on an act like that would be worth the effort?

(plus, i mean, bro needs you to battle an ocean of robots with him before he feels like he can agree to date you. from a logistical standpoint, what the fuck is he going to get 12 other people to match that kind of zeal for battle??)

anyway, that part's less important. just because i take umbrage at certain characterization doesn't mean that characterization is necessarily inconsistent. people are complex, characters are complex, maybe it really was all just an act in his romance, whatever.

the more important part is the fact that he's absolutely lying about most of what he's saying in this scene, if not all of it. grace even says she can't definitively sniff out whether he's telling the truth or lying throughout this despite her knack for it, to the point where she usually knows which part of what someone is untrue.

and we very quickly learned that he was lying about at least part of what he says immediately -- we discover that he was the one writing telegrams to miguel before coming to sandrock, which completely nixes everything he's saying about being fooled by miguel. so yeah, technically "ooh, i have 12 lovers who i keep separate and ply with gifts" COULD be true, but it could not be the justification for why he's working with miguel in sandrock; he was already working with duvos well before arriving in town. it very much comes across as a ploy to get you and grace to think of miguel as the source of all the blame by relying on his Very Well Known Persona/Reputation to concoct what feels to him like a an excuse you'll accept

anyway, do you know which part i think has the highest chance of actually having a grain of truth in it? this shit.

He was a skin I made around 2020/2021 during a pretty high rise of SMP's, and he may look pretty alive and well, but...

He's a zombie. Or, originally a zombie. He's now a run-away that escaped the lab he was forced to work in. The experiment was a semi-success, turning Zion from a zombie to half of one. Half of his body (his left side (I put the bracelet/monitor on the wrong side)) is a zombie, while the other half is human.

His coloring has a typical green for the zombie side and red eyes, as well as half of his hoodie turned red while the other purple. And yes, he has some zombie attributes. He can't stay up all night like typical zombies can (unless his sleep schedule is flipped around) or even 24/7, but he does hurt in the sun light. He has night vision in one eye and is more sensitive to light because of it. He can understand other zombies and some skeletons, but can't understand/communicate with every undead creature there is.

He broke himself out of the lab he was worked on at with little issue, but finding help became a lot harder to do. He can speak both English and Zombie, but had to learn it via others to truly understand it (and did so in the lab).

He would have a pet, if he could, but animals either see him as a threat, or otherwise dangerous. His main weapon would be an axe, and probably what he used to escape, and would probably be seen more in caves or forests due to their covering.
