the ocean as a metaphor ALWAYS slaps. the ocean as a hungry force that wants to consume you? the ocean as something vast and unknowable, like a god itself? the ocean as freedom and liberation? the ocean as the mysteries of the self? the ocean as love? never fails to get me

i think it's funny when people say "yeah the writers use they/them for this character but that doesn't necessarily mean the character is nonbinary" because i guess it's true but by that logic i can say "yeah this character is referred to with he/him but they never say he's a man so i can do whatever i want" which i may actually start doing because it sounds based as fuck. if you want me to believe that action hero is a man maybe you should've been more direct about it smh.

Dunno how to put it properly into words but lately I find myself thinking more about that particular innocence of fairy tales, for lack of better word. Where a traveller in the middle of a field comes across an old woman with a scythe who is very clearly Death, but he treats her as any other auntie from the village. Or meeting a strange green-skinned man by the lake and sharing your loaf of bread with him when he asks because even though he's clearly not human, your mother's last words before you left home were to be kind to everyone. Where the old man in the forest rewards you for your help with nothing but a dove feather, and when you accept even such a seemingly useless reward with gratitude, on your way home you learn that it's turned to solid gold. Where supernatural beings never harm a person directly and every action against humans is a test of character, and every supernatural punishment is the result of a person bringing on their own demise through their own actions they could have avoided had they changed their ways. Where the hero wins for no other reason than that they were a good person. I don't have the braincells to describe this better right now but I wish modern fairy tales did this more instead of trying to be fantasy action movies.

The comments are (rightfully) turned off so I'm reblogging instead but I just wanted to let you know OP that this guy in ur comments is a total asshole who goes around and does this to EVERYONE who may or may not is theorising about one piece. He did it to me too on a post where I had a *headcanon* disclaimer, this guy is just a cringey wannabe youtuber who's looking to start shit. He did it to a friend too where he accused them of "copying" some other youtubers theory. His tone is always passive-aggressive and fake-friendly which is what drove me up the fuckign wall too and why I blocked his ass as well
I totally feel you on being upset over this because that's exactly what I felt too. Idk why exactly he does it, but I can tell he's a miserable and pathetic man because this is not how a happy and content person acts. Please dont feel discouraged to be posting theories/headcanons/thoughts in future, it really is just this one guy
Oh, little Colon....
Re-reading what we have of the Elbaf arc and I just love Ripley's design! And her name! I know everyone had comments about how she had a baby with a human. Was an official explanation given?
My random guess - that nurturing owl in the library that gigantifies things? Scopper and Ripley got Bibelot to temporarily gigantify Scopper and they got down to business in the library. Was it Lilith or Robin who commented something about the owl being to enlarge 'even inorganic things' when they watched the book Robin was carrying explode out of her hands? Either way, that implies it enlarges organic things too, or at the least, has the possibility.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it - because the alternate explanations I've found online.... some of them are just gross. Reminds me of a certain skeevy scene from the Avengers involving a waspy women and her (horrible) husband. >.<;;;;;;;
Now I must go bleach my brain.....
#also jokes on him. my hc was about harald and loki grieving over rocks together which is starting to look more plausible#bro went in and made it about hajrudin for some reason and that haralds fb should just stop and ???? incomprehensible yapping tbh

No, tumblr user, I don’t think the hatred of trans women is cemented on the hatred of men. I believe, god forbid, it might be based on the hatred of women.

one of the cafes I go to sometimes has a loyalty card that says “coffee addict” on it. and as a recovering addict this immediately transported me into an alternate universe where bars have loyalty cards that say “ALCOHOLIC” right in the middle. would that be fucked or what
