BG3 city for Fanfiction writers and reader
[Guide to Lodging in Baldur's Gate 3]
Disclaimer: This post is intended to provide potential readers with a clearer idea of the taverns. It's useful if you want to read my writings or if you've never played and have no idea what ElfSong is, but want to better understand some stories you read or write your own. Feel free to ask anything!
General information (Elfsong)
Lore
In-game map screen
My modifications
Other location
Context: A small revised map of the ElfSong tavern because:
Not everyone reading the fanfiction has played the game, so I'm sorry they don't have context.
I love you all, that room is meant to be comfortable in terms of the story, they're all close enough to interact with each other, but such a lack of privacy is almost comical (besides the fact that it should be the entire floor of a tavern, not a family room), so I felt the need to "reprogram" the rooms.
1- ElfSong General Information:
The Elfsong tavern is located in the Lower City, popular judging by how crowded it is. However, since a major murder occurred, people are hesitant to stay overnight. That's why Alan (the guy behind the counter) offers an entire floor for a few coins (200 gold pieces). As a tavern, if you don't have camping supplies, you can buy dinner directly for 60 gold pieces from your room. It has an underground cellar full of wine, a ground floor with the kitchen, bar area, and entertainment area, a first floor (technically blocked due to a murder), a second floor where you can stay overnight, and a very nice area to relax on the roof. To access the second floor, there is also an external staircase that allows you (if you have a hypothetical key) to avoid the chaos of the tavern and enter from outside.
2- Lore (from NPCs):
Not the best tavern in town, but one of the most famous, especially for its ghosts. Many people go there to hear the "ghostly elven song," and the ghost's crying is often heard too, making it an attraction for many. For this reason, there are no bards in the tavern. A bard in town tells us that the ghost is self-centered and doesn't like to share attention, so it's hard for bards to be accepted there, and they have to go to other taverns. There is a closed room with some refreshments where a comedian performs, providing entertainment for those who want it without disturbing those there for the ghost or minding their own business. There are two cats, even though they're in the kitchen, who are extremely lazy and arrogant. (They will persuade you to kill the mice for them so they can peacefully enjoy the reward).
3- Building map:

First floor (locked) (no pictures)

Second floor room

4- Changes made in my stories:
The rentable floors go from two to four, for a total of seven floors (basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor, fourth floor, roof).
Given there is a total of six companions, three recruitable characters, your tav, and, in any case, four free beds (where the active party generally sleeps), each floor will have seven single rooms, not too small but independent. Additionally, there will be a common area, identical to the in-game one, at the opposite end of the hallway from the entrance stairs.
The common areas will resemble those in the game, identical but without the communal bath and beds. There will be a fireplace with two sofas on each side and a couple of stools, along with two tables, a carpet with cushions, and a hookah.
Companions are divided between the third and fourth floors. This allows the rooms to be larger, and the floors are less crowded.
Since in the game there is a staircase that allows access to the rented rooms from the outside (and not from the inside), to avoid intrusions, the first and second floors are only accessible from inside the inn, while the third and fourth floors are accessible only through an external staircase.
The staircase for the first two floors is guarded by two bouncers when the Elfsong is opened, and when the tavern is closed, with a wooden door that closes the staircase, and a second one that closes the inn itself.
The staircase for the last two floors, being external, is protected by a metal gate preceding the staircase and a wooden door leading to corridor that leads the rooms.
5- Other places where it is possible to stay overnight:
The Shanty (Outskirts): A seedy place where often unsavory characters roam. Astarion mentions when entering that he used to go there frequently to look for victims for Cazador. (Ground floor, first floor, attic with a hidden room)
Abandoned House (Rivington, adjacent city): The owner has abandoned it to find a better place. There are holes in the walls, but it offers good shelter if desperate, although I recommend boarding up the walls first (one floor, a fireplace, a bed, but you make do).
Caress of Sharess: A brothel with many independent rooms accessible from an external corridor to ensure customer privacy. The main building has a bar area on the ground floor and a mezzanine with a restaurant area. The rooms are varied and different in style. For example, one has a kind of tub in the first room and a canopy bed in the second, with a completely floral style. Another is a kind of library, with a basin for washing and supplies inside. Be creative.
Nortale Hostel: A modest and very rustic hostel located in a fairly central position in the Lower City. Pammella Nortale, a charming and well-groomed halfling, is the one in charge. They primarily accommodate refugees, and the place is funded through donations. The hostel is divided into two floors. On the upper floor, there are six bunk beds (12 total sleeping spots) with six large chests, each secured with a lock. Ideal if you want to stay incognito and don't have too much gold with you.

Hey! I’m new to the daredevil fandom and have been loooooving your Matt fics <3
I saw a few fics where reader taking care of a sick and stubborn Matt, they are so fluffy and cute🥹 Would you write one that the roles are reversed, and it’s Matt being super patience and tender, taking care of a sick and stubborn reader? Thanks💕💕
Hello my lovely! Thank you for sending in this ask! I’m gonna be honest, this was harder than I thought it was going to be. Either that or I’m just kinda sucking at the moment 🤣 I hope I did justice to your ask and since it took me so long to do, I tried to make up for it with a moodboard. I’m so sorry it took me so long.

Warnings: Pure fluff, Matt taking care of a sick reader
Word Count: 2.4K-ish
“What about this one?” Your friend asked, holding up a black cocktail dress.
You and your friend had been out shopping for hours it seemed like, trying to find the perfect dress to wear to your anniversary dinner with Matt.
Looking up from the rack of dresses you were going through, you glanced at the one she was holding up. It was a beautiful sheath dress, sheer mesh at the neck and shoulders and dipped down in a V-shape on the back. The dress was very vintage inspired, with short sleeves and it hit right at the knees. It was perfect.
“Get out here, lemme see it on you!” You friend shouted from outside the dressing room door.
You opened the door and stepped out in front of the three way mirror. A wide smile spread across your face as you turned in one direction and then the other to get the full effect. The dress fit perfectly and it made you feel really beautiful. The dress wasn’t for Matt, it was for you.
“I really like it!” You exclaimed looking at your friend in the reflection of the mirror. She was smiling right back at you because you had been on the hunt for a while now to find a dress for your special night out.
Your friend clapped her hands together and with a smile said “Well I think you found what you’ve been looking for! Well, technically I found it.” She chuckled a little. “But you look so pretty and you’re gonna have an amazing time.”
You turned around and gave her a big hug. “Thank you! Now let’s go find new shoes!”
*****************
Matt wasn’t a really fancy restaurant kinda guy. He was more of a Thai food take out, eat it with a plastic fork kinda guy but he loved you and wanted your anniversary dinner to be special.
So the reservations were made, your dress was freshly steamed, accessories were picked out, and you also bought new shoes. Everything was all ready to go, you just had to wait a few more days.
Before going to bed the night before your big date, you were feeling a little nauseous and chills ran up and down your spine and not in the good way. “It’s probably just nerves.” You said to yourself as you curled up in bed to read your book.
Your phone started buzzing, Matt’s smiling face staring at you along with his name flashed across the screen, it always put a smile on your face seeing that.
“Hi Matty.” You answered.
“Hey sweetheart. I didn’t wake you, did I?” He asked in his low gravelly voice, almost at a whisper.
“No, no you didn’t wake me. I was just getting ready to do some reading. Are you heading out soon?” You asked.
You knew Matt’s secret, of course you did. He could only hide it from you for so long, the bruises, the cuts, the stitches. There’s no way he fell down the stairs THAT often.
“Yeah, I am but I just wanted to say goodnight and I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.” He said.
“I’m excited to see you too, Matty. Goodnight.”
You could tell he was smiling on the other end. “Goodnight, angel. I love you.”
“I love you too.” And you hung up.
That nauseous feeling still sat in the pit of your stomach, it kept turning and turning like a washing machine. Why is this happening now? Hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow.
By the time the sun came up the next day, you had lost count of how many times you threw the blankets on and off of your body during the night.
The sweat on the back of your neck had made your hair wet and your t-shirt was soaked through. In between fever dreams, you had hugged the toilet bowl a couple of times, as well. You were sick.
And now you had to tell Matt that all of your plans were ruined because there was no way you were going to be well enough to go out to dinner later, you could barely stand up.
He picked up on the second ring. “Good morning, sweetheart. Happy anniversary.”
“Matty…” Your voice was raspy, your throat was dry and it hurt to speak.
“Y/n, are you ok? You sound terrible.” His voice was full of concern.
“Matty—I—I am so sorry but I’m sick and I’m not going to be able to go out tonight. I feel terrible.” You said with a slight whine in your voice.
Matt played back your relationship in the past year and he couldn’t recall a single time where you had been THAT sick before. A headache here and there, a slight cold a couple of times but never like this.
“Well let me come take care of you, sweetheart.” He said.
You really didn’t want him to catch what you have in case you were contagious so you insisted he stay away. “No, no Matty don’t do that. I don’t want you to catch what I have.”
“Well I’m coming over now, you can’t stop me.” He had a stern tone to his voice.
But you had a response of your own. “Well, I’m not letting you in then.”
“I have an extra key, angel. Nice try.” Even though you couldn’t see him, you could tell he had that devilish smirk on his face.
“Wipe that smirk off your face, Murdock. I know you’re doing it!”
He let out a little chuckle. “Awwww, does someone get angry when they’re sick?”
“Very funny, Matthew. You don’t really know where a lot of stuff is in my apartment, how are you gonna take care of me?” You thought maybe you had him there.
Matt had thought of that. “I’ll just bring stuff from my apartment, it’s all labeled so I know what’s what. I’m sure I’ll manage to find the other things I need for you.”
Damn. You really didn’t have an excuse for him NOT to come over now.
“You win, Murdock.” You said with a defeated tone to your voice. “I’ll unlock the door, just come in when you get here.”
“I’ll bring the key anyway, you may ‘conveniently forget’ to unlock it.” He said.
Your mouth dropped, but he wasn’t wrong. “I resent that, Matthew!”
The laugh that escaped his lips was pure. “Ok, ok—just stay in bed, I’ll be over in a little bit.”
Even though Matt was blind, you still felt the need to clean up your apartment a little before he came over. You made sure there wasn’t anything on the floor that he could step on or trip over and you had just finished cleaning up when he walked through the door, a bag of supplies in one hand and his cane in the other.
“I can feel the heat coming off of your body from here, sweetheart. What are you doing out of bed?” He asked, setting the bag down then folding his cane to put it away.
You needed a quick answer so you just blurted out “Uh, I JUST got up to make some tea, Matty.”
You tried to sound convincing but Matt knew you were lying. The spike in your heart beat gave away your lie and your pulse was already racing from the running around you were doing to put stuff away before he came over.
“Oh really? Do you always breathe that heavily when you JUST get up to make tea?” He asked sarcastically.
Busted.
“Maybe I do.” You answered his sarcasm with some sass of your own.
Matt shook his head and licked his lips. “Y/n.”
He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and put his hands on his hips. The way he said your name had a similar tone to the way he spoke during his court speeches (he practiced on you sometimes.) It sounded stern and slightly aggravated. “Do I physically have to put you in bed?”
“I mean, I won’t say no to that.” You said with a wide grin.
Matt smiled, showing off that cute little dimple of his. “Oh you’re gonna give me a hard time today, aren’t you angel.”
And you did give him a hard time, not on purpose but the fever caused you to act a little strange. There were times you were hot and times where you felt cold and Matt would have to physically fight you to put the blanket on or take it off.
It was difficult to get comfortable, your pillow wasn’t cool enough, the toast he made for you was a LITTLE too well done for your taste so you only ate a little of it, and drank only half of the tea he brought you.
“Sweetheart, you need to stay hydrated. Can you please finish your tea?” He begged.
You were pouting. “But I don’t wanna finish my tea—I want something else.” You told him, almost as if you were throwing a slight temper tantrum.
The frustration was plastered all over Matt’s face, the way he pressed his lips together and removed his glasses to pinch the bridge of his nose. He was trying to be patient with you but his patience was wearing very thin.
“Ok, well what do you want then?” He asked, his arms slung down by his sides.
You started to get out of bed again. “There’s Gatorade in the fridge, I’ll just go get it.”
“What did I tell you about staying in bed?” He held up a hand to try and stop you from leaving the room.
“Thaaaaaat you’ll physically put me there if I keep getting up?” You said with a sly smile on your face.
“I can tell you’re smiling, y/n. This isn’t funny. You’re not going to get better if you don’t get some rest.” His voice had a serious tone to it. “Why are you giving me such a hard time, sweetheart? I just want to help you get better.”
Maybe you had been giving Matt a hard time, maybe you were taking your frustration out on him because your anniversary dinner was ruined because of you, through no fault of your own but you still felt bad. You felt guilty for him having to take care of you, a grown adult acting like a toddler.
“I’m sorry, Matty. I guess I’m mad because instead of enjoying our anniversary dinner, you’re stuck taking care your sick girlfriend.” You confessed as you climbed back into bed.
Matt’s expression changed, it was softer, more understanding as he sat down on the edge of the bed. “Y/n, this is the longest relationship I’ve ever had. I’ve made it through a whole year without messing things up and I think it’s only because YOU are so understanding. This past year has taught me that I can make my city safer AND be happy at the same time.”
It wasn’t easy juggling a law office, a girlfriend, and being the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. The two of you have had more than a few fights about his extracurricular activities but at the end of the day the person that understood you the best was Matt and the person that understood him the best was you.
Tears welled up in your eyes. “You always know exactly what to say, don’t you Matthew.”
Matt let out a little chuckle. “Well, maybe not always.” He reached out to touch your forehead. “You’re not as warm as you were earlier. Maybe your fever broke. I’ll go get the thermometer.”
You watched as Matt got up to retrieve the thermometer from the other room and it was hard not to smile. Who knows if you were contagious and yet he rushed over to take care of you anyway, to make you feel better, and to make sure you weren’t alone.
It didn’t matter to him that you weren’t going to be able to go out tonight. What he cared about the most was you getting better and it’s one of the things you love the most about Matt. He really does care a lot about the people in his life, so much in fact he thinks he needs to push them away in order to keep them safe.
He couldn’t push you away though, and it’s not like he didn’t try to early on. You pushed back, didn’t let up, and the two of you were able to work through it.
He came back to the bedroom with the thermometer and the Gatorade that was in the fridge. “I think that’s the Gatorade.” He said, handing it to you. “Alright, sweetheart. Under the tongue, come on.”
Matt placed the thermometer in your mouth and you both waited. When it beeped, you took it out to read it.
“Tell me what it says y/n and don’t even think about lying to me because I’ll know.” He said with a sharp tone.
You rolled your eyes a little before telling him. “Yeah, yeah I know, Matty, you’re a human lie detector, I’ve already lost that game today. It says…99.4”
Taking the thermometer from you and placing it on the nightstand, he smiled at you and he knew you were smiling back. He leaned in to kiss you on the forehead and said “Do you think you could take a little nap for me? Maybe that will help bring your temperature back to normal.”
You curled up under the blankets and Matt gently brushed the hair away from your face. His fingers ghosted your forehead down your cheek before stopping to rest on your arm.
He gave you a warm smile but his eyes were tired and you knew it was because of you his energy was depleted. You put him through the ringer today with your antics but he never left.
“I think I can do that for you, handsome.” You paused. “Will you stay with me though?” You asked.
“Of course I will, angel. And we’ll do a make-up anniversary dinner next week, ok?” He said as he climbed into bed next to you.
“You got yourself a date, Murdock.” You said, resting your head on his chest. “Thank you for taking care of me today, I know I didn’t make it easy for you.”
He inhaled sharply and let out a long exhale. “No, you sure didn’t, y/n.”
“Can I make it up to you?” You asked.
Matt kissed the top of your head and pondered for a minute before finally saying “Yes sweetheart…you can go…to…sleep.”
Smiling into his chest, you closed your eyes, and whispered “Happy anniversary, Matty.”
“Happy anniversary, sweetheart.”

Service Dog at College: My Experience
It's been over a year now since I graduated, and I finally feel far enough removed to look back on the experience without instantly triggering a panic attack, so here's how my experience of going to college with my service dog went!
Max attended classes with me for 3 semesters in total. He was still "in training" for about half of his 1st semester, then considered "fully trained" the rest of the time. He did not live in the dorms with me because I didn't live in the dorms.
In preparation for taking him to class for the first time, we did a lot of training outings on campus over the summer. We primarily practiced 2 hour settles and leading me to exits. I also contacted my college's disability services to notify them that I would have my service dog with me. Luckily, they seemed to already understand the laws around service dogs, so it wasn't an issue.
Actually going to class usually went well. My professors and even fellow students were respectful. I only got asked to pet him a handful of times. He was only stepped on once by accident, even though it was sometimes hard to find a seat in class where he could lay out of the way. I preferred the computer lab classrooms because I could sit anywhere and always have enough room under the desk.
I had 1 class in a room where he had to lay in the way, and the only place he could fit at all was far from both exits. And the professor frequently went on tangents about triggering topics. So I was often stuck there during flashbacks or dissociative episodes. That sucked.
Sometimes professors would forget to give us the 15 minute break halfway through a 3 hour class. Technically, I could leave anyway, but I'd miss instruction. So Max got used to doing almost 3 hour settles. He'd get restless in the last 20 minutes or so, but never disruptive.
All the classrooms I was in had carpet, so I didn't bother bringing a mat for Max to lay on. If the floors had been hard, I would've brought one for his comfort. I offered him water and a potty break outside before and after every class, and during 15 minute breaks if we had them. I gave him treats throughout his work time, but we were never out long enough to feed a meal away from home.
The worst experience we had was graduation.
Before the ceremony was fine: security didn't seem to know what to do with us, so they just let us in without going through the metal detector. Someone from disability services guided me through the tables and forms I had to fill out. They let me sit off to the side for the beginning of the ceremony instead of walking through the miserable crowd of overstimulation (a line of previous graduates on either side) with my peers, and let me have a chair on the outside edge for the ceremony itself.
Then things started going wrong:
I didn't know ahead of time that the floor would be concrete, so I didn't have a mat for Max. He was very uncomfortable and shifted around a lot.
I couldn't wear a treat pouch or access my pockets under the gown, so Max had to work in an extremely overwhelming situation for hours with almost no rewards.
The people with cameras seemed to actively avoid me. I noticed several times that they'd do an overview of the crowd, then stop immediately before my row, then start again immediately past us. That was weird.
The guy telling each row when to start going towards the stage stepped on Max after staring at him multiple times. Then rushed us towards the stage before I could get any treats out of Max's vest pockets. That was very upsetting.
The stairs up to the stage were metal and creaky and had lots of gaps, but luckily Max is well socialized to weird stairs and walked up just fine.
The worst part of all was the end of the ceremony. They invited the whole entire audience to crowd into the arena we were sitting in to "collect their graduate." Luckily, Max perceived it as "So many new friends! How will I ever say hi to them all!" But I was completely out of it. By some miracle, my Dad was among the first into the arena and was able to lead me out. It took over a week for me to recover. I ended up sending an email to disability services suggesting that they should provide options to exit early because that situation easily could've been dangerous.
To summarize, my overall experience with bringing my service dog to college went well (everything else about college was horrible, but they did well with the service dog specifically), but graduation was a disaster.

What's Done is Done - Nolan Moyle
Warnings: ANGST, Swearing
Word count: 2.2k
I was having one of those days where I was just home sick. I just wanted to be home, I miss my family and still after being in my 4th year of university it is something that still hits me pretty hard. I’m lucky to have Nolan as my boyfriend. Typically when I start to feel homesick I will usually hang out with him or my best friend, which happens to be his teammate and roommate Jay Keranen. I met both boys during my first year here at UMich at a party. I immediately hit it off with Nolan but we didn’t officially start dating until last year, so technically we have been together for a little over two years.
Today, my homesickness is at an ultimate high. I decide to just head over to my boyfriend and best friends house without texting them because odds are one of them will be home. I knock on the door and there isn’t an answer. I turn the door handle just as Grano swings the door open. “Hey Y/n, what are you doing here?” he says, “Hey, where’s Nolan?” I ask ignoring his question. “At the party, He didn’t tell you?” Grano tells me. “Oh yeah, I completely forgot!” I say, Nolan told me yesterday about this party happening tonight but I said I didn’t know if I wanted to go or not. “Are you headed there now?”, “Yeah, wanna walk with me?” Grano asks, “Sure” I say as being at the party would be better than hanging out at home alone right now.
When we got to the party, I immediately see Jay make his way over to us. “There she is, was wondering when you’d arrive” he says to me giving me a hug. “Yeah, I headed to your place first” I say leaving out the actual reason why I went over, he could he I was upset though. “You okay? You look sad” he says frowning, “I was a little homesick but I will be alright” I say forcing a smile. “Where is Nolan” I ask, “Not sure, haven’t seen him since we got here like about an hour ago”, I roll my eyes thinking about how drunk my boyfriend could be if I nor Jay has seen or heard from him in the last hour. “Well I should go find myself a drink” I say starting to push through the party to the kitchen.
Jay followed me to the kitchen where we both got ourselves something to drink before moving to the back deck where some of the other guys are. “Hey guys!” I say greeting the guys outside. “Hey Y/n, where’s Moyle?” Adam asks, “Yeah, aren’t you two usually attached to the hip” Rutger laughs, “I have no clue. He is here somewhere I guess” I say as we continue to have a conversation about school, and hockey.
I got up after about an hour to get another drink. I enter the house and go to the kitchen. I grab a new cooler and open it, immediately taking a sip. In the kitchen I spot Miranda from one of my classes and make my way across the kitchen. “Hey!” I say once Miranda turns and sees me, “Oh, hey. I was actually looking for you” she says looking at me sadly, “Yeah, have you seen Nolan?”, “Yeah that’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about..” she says back awkwardly. “Okay, you are scaring me” I say back as she looks at at me with worried eye, “Kennedy for the sorority was just all over him, I saw a couple guys try and pry him away from her but he pushed them away.”, “What? Are you joking? Please tell me this is a joke” I plead, “They went upstairs, I’m sorry Y/n”, “W-what do I- I do?” I say to her, voice quivering as tears form in my eyes. Miranda brings me in for a hug, “I’m sorry. Do you want me to walk home with you?”, “N-no, I w-will get Jay” I say turning out of her hug.
 On my way out of the kitchen back to the back deck I spot Nolan. He is on his way down the stairs still hand in hand with the skinny,  blonde sorority girl. I was in shock. I stood there just watching them enter back into the room. Our eyes met we his feet touched the main floor level and suddenly I was taken out of my shocked trance and turned quickly to the back door.
I get the the back not even realizing how hard I was crying until Jay immediately shot up and ran over to me immediately wrapping me in his arms, “What happened” he says, “walk me home please, I need out of here quick”. Suddenly the door opens again and Nolan stumbles out on the deck. “Hey baby, what are you doing here?” he says drunkenly grabbing me pulling me into his chest. I push away immediately “Are you fucking serious?!” everyone on the deck seemed to disappear except for Jay. “I come here be myself looking all over for you for an hour. I look like such an idiot having everyone at a party know my boyfriend is cheating on me, while i’m in under the same roof! I trusted you Nolan and you-” I stop when I see the mark she left on his neck, my hand shot up to my mouth as tears flew faster down my face, “oh my god” I whisper, “Babe cal-”, I interupted Nolan by swinging my arm so my hand made perfect connection with the side of his face, “There is a hickey on your fucking neck, and your going to tell me to calm down?!”, “Yeah I am, why are you being such a bitch?” I looked at him with tears streaming down my face, “Okay, Lets go” Jay says to me. I turn around to walk away with Jay when Nolan grabs my wrist, “Let go!” I say turning Jay’s attention back to Nolan and I, after I shook my hand loose from Nolan’s grasp, Jay punched a very drunk Nolan, making Nolan pass out. Jay calls for Grano to come out and look after Nolan and tells him that he is going to take me home.
Walking home was quiet, Jay didn’t say anything, nor did I. We just walked in silence. We have been walking for about 10 minutes before I saw a park bench coming up. I decided to take a seat. I didn’t cry. I just sat there, staring at the yellow line in the middle of the road in front of me. Jay looks down at me standing there, just watching me. He pulls out his phone as it buzzed and looks and Nolan’s name appear. He declines the call and then goes through his text messages, texting people back. After going through his phone he takes a seat beside me on the bench. He looks over at me to see that I am still staring at the same spot on the road in front on me, “What are you thinking about?” he breaks the silence. I take a deep breath in and blink a couple times, “Nothing- I-Um- What is next for me, I guess”, “Y/n” Jay starts, “You’re a badass. To be honest, I am shocked I was the one that knocked Nolan out and not you. You’ll figure things out. I promise ya that”, He looks at me with a gentle smile pulling me into his side for a side hug. “Let’s get you home” Jay says standing up, bending down with his arms slanted behind him, “Hop on”. I stand up and hop on Jay’s back where he proceeds to piggyback me all the way to my door.
He sets me down to open my door, I opened the door to enter and Jay comes in with me. “I’ll get you some blankets for the couch” I say to Jay opening the living room closet. I take some blankets out before walking over to Jay on the couch handing them to him. “Thanks” he smiles at me. “No, thank you” I softly smile heading to my room.
I pull my phone out of my pocket for the first time tonight to see a bunch of texts and missed calls:

Suddenly my phone starts buzzing again, and Nolan’s contact appears across the screen. I unintentionally threw my phone across the room hitting my body length mirror, leaving the loud bang and crash of the glass trickling onto the floor to play through the apartment. I fall hard on the ground bringing curling into a ball and all I can do is cry. My door flung open to reveal and frantic to calm Jay. He bent down to pick me up, “Shh, come on. Let’s watch a movie” he says carrying me out to the couch. He puts me down next to him on the couch and resumes the movie.
I must have fallen asleep because the next morning I find myself waking up in my bed. I reach for my phone but it isn’t there. I get up and look across the room at the mess I made last night to find it was clean. I get up and make my way out to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. I notice Jay fast asleep on the couch so I decide to bring him a glass as well and set it on the coffee table. I sit on the other couch across from Jay when I hear banging at the front door. Waking Jay up. “Let me in, Y/n” I hear Nolan on the other side of the door. Nolan continues to yell trying to get me to open, When Jay stands and and walks towards the door. Shaking his head he opens the door. I move around the corner before the door opened so Nolan could not see me. “Why are you here, Moyle?” Jay asks immediately, “I mean I could ask you the same thing, seeing this is my girlfriends apartment” I hear Nolan say back to Jay. “Go” Jay says, “No, where is she?”, “She’s not h-” Jay starts before seeing me appear from around the corner. “Y/n, babe. Can we please talk?” Nolan says pushing past Jay. Jay followed behind him waiting for my response. “Fine” I say going over to the couch and taking a seat. Jay takes some of his things giving me a side hug, “Your phone is in the drawer in the kitchen, It still works. Call me if you need anything” Jay says before leaving.
I look at Nolan but not in his eyes, at the mark that was left on his neck, “What?” I say annoyed. “It really isn’t what is looks like” Nolan starts, I laugh dryly cutting him off, “Are you trying to say I am blind or stupid or something? I watched you holding her hand down the stairs, and I am still seeing a hickey on your neck!”, “I know, it looks bad bu-”, “Looks bad?! There is no way that this is good Nolan!”, “I was just dancing with her, I asked her where the bathroom was and she took me up the stairs to some random room and-”, “I can’t hear this, please stop”, “She kissed me. I swear” he says, “Did you kiss her back?” I ask not really wanting to know the answer. Nolan takes a deep breath looking away from my eyes, “Yes”, he says as tears form in my eyes. “I stopped her before it got too far though. I told her I had a girlfriend and that we couldn’t go further”, I shake my head with tears falling from my eyes before looking at him, “I think at that point it was a little too late”, “I know” Nolan starts putting a hand on my shoulder, before I harshly shrugged it off, “I don’t know if I believe you. I watched come back down the stairs holding her hand. Why did this all happen the night you thought I wasn’t there? Things aren’t adding up Nolan” I say. “I know, I know” Nolan starts with frustration in his voice but stops. I broke the silence “If it wasn’t-” I start and snuffle away what I could before restarting, “If it wasn’t obvious enough already, We are done” Tears falling once again from my eyes as I look up after to see the same sad teary eyes on Nolan, “I’m so sorry Y/n. I lov-”, “Get out” I say quietly but loud enough to cut him off.
Nolan stands from his crouching position in front of me wiping his tears and smoothing his pants. He puts his hands in his jacket pocket looking at me. “Okay, if thats what you want” he nods walking towards the door. “Oh and Y/n”, Nolan says looking back at me from the door, I turn around to look him in the eyes, “I do love you”. He says before disappearing from my doorway.

Suspicious minds(Sodapop Curtis)
Chapter 1: good morning Tulsa Oklahoma
Tumblr media
I woke up to the brightness of the sun leaking through the window blinds above my bed. I let out a groan and stretched out my stiff limbs. As I proceeded to try and get some more sleep before work my door was pushed open a little more aggressive than it should. Out of instinct I grabbed my switchblade from under my pillow and sat up quickly.
"woah kid it's only us" my brother Two-bit said with a smirk ans his hands up. I let out a sigh in relief glad it was only my siblings and not our step dad.
My little sister Danneel or Diggs as we call her jump on my bed. "come on get up! Me and pony are supposed go to the library today" she said tugging on my arm. Diggs is the youngest out of the three of us and She's only 13. She's technically our half sister due to the fact when out mom remarried she got pregnant with Diggs before she died. We don't care though she's our sister and we try our hardest to protect each other from our step dad.
When my brother and sister left I quickly changed for work. I slipped on a faded Elvis shirt and slid my DX shirt over it leaving the buttons open. Before I left my room a shoved my switchblade into my ripped jeans. I looked in the mirror and pulled my brown hair into a high ponytail. I grumbled hating how much it's grown out. To be honest I didn't care how I looked I just made sure I was clean and presentable. I also didn't look like my brother, I was shorter than him and my eyes our brown while his pure blue. Diggs is the only one in our family that really has any resemblance to me.
When I was done I jogged down the stairs to see my step father passed out drunk in his chair and my siblings setting outside on the porch.
"you guys ready?" I asked locking the front door. They both nodded and we started to walk down the street. Our house was close the Curits house so we always walked. It wasn't the safest choice for us greaser but for some reason we didn't care but Diggs hasn't walked by herself since Jonny was jumped. She would always get picked up by Darry or walk in between me and Two-bit on the street.
When we turned down the street were the curits house was Diggs sprinted ahead of us when she saw Pony by the gate. She wrapped her arms around him as Pony picked her up playfully.
Everyone except those two knew they like each other. "break it up love birds" I chuckled which earned me a kick in the but by her.
"real mature" I teased and opened the front door to the house. Everyone except Dally was here today. Steve and Jonny were watching Mickey mouse, which of course Two-bit pushed his way through to get to the TV. Darry was in the kitchen and Soda was out of sight.
"morning y/n" Darry said as I walked into the kitchen. "hay Darry"
I hopped into the counter as Darry continued to move around the kitchen. Me and him were pretty close. He was protective of me, hell all of them were just the perk of being the only girl in the gang. Me and Darry were basically the parents of the group so we always worked together to keep everyone in one piece.
"have you eaten anything yet?" Darry asked shouting the stove off. "no didn't have time, I over slept" Darry then proceeded to hand me a plate of eggs and bacon. "well eat something before work"
"thanks dar" I smiled and sat the table as Darry called out to Diggs and told her the same thing. She walked into the kitchen with Jonny and sat down with me. As I was eating my eyes were suddenly covered.
"good morning Birdie" it was soda. He was the only one who uses that nickname other than Darry. I guess everyone uses it but most of the time it's y/n or little bird. If your wondering how my name came to be just talk to my brother. Aprently when I was a baby I'd make bird noises, then because I'm small for my age I earned the name "little bird"
"hay Soda" I smiled then immediately slapped his chest playfully as he stole a piece of bacon off my plate.
"hay" he laughed and ran off. I chased him around his small house in till he eventually wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to the ground of the living room. As my back was pushed to the ground he started tickling me.
"soda s-stop!" I laughed and squirmed around trying to get away. I eventually grabbed his wrists and pushed him to his back stealing his DX hat in the process. "quit flerting with my sister will ya" Two-bit said not taking his eyes of the TV.
"shut up Keith" I said using his real name. He didn't like it but me and Diggs got away with it. I looked over to soda and his goofy smiled made me crack into laughter.
"guys we gotta go" Steve said making us break eye contact and look over to our best friend. Me, soda, and Steve were definitely the three amigos.
Steve was the only one who i told about my crush on soda. I knew he would keep the secret because he cared about our friendship just as much as I did. I told him I wouldn't tell soda how I felt because if he didn't feel the same it would be weird between us or possibly breaking our friendship and Steve would be in the middle. I didn't tell Two-bit because he would tell him by accident.
When we made it the DX station our boss was at the register ready to assign our jobs for the day. "Steve, soda your in the garage, and y/n your at the register" I sighed walking to my spot. I was always stuck here and I hated it. I knew everything about cars, maybe even more than Steve but it was very rare out boss let me in the garage.
Hours went by and nothing happened it was a very slow day which was nice. We had about an hour or less before we closed up for today so was setting on a stole behind the counter counting money. The peace was shattered by a certain blond crashing her way through the front entrance of the station.
"where's soda?" she snapped. I slowly looked up not in the mood for her crap.
"he's busy Sandy" I said with the same snappy attitude she gave me.
"that doesn't answer my question" she said walking closer the counter with her arms crossed. I sighed and slammed the money drawer closed. "where he always is, in the garage" she rolled her eyes and stomped into the garage. Before the door to the garage closed it was immediately pushed open by an oil covered Steve. He looked a little frustrated as he opened the cooler and pulled out a coke.
"I really hate that girl" he sighed chugging have of his drink. "your not the only one" I sighed rubbing my face.
"you know that bitch Is just using him" he grumbled glaring at the door Sandy used to get into the garage. "yeah and if we talk to soda about him he'll get upset or get mad at us for accusing her" I explained to him.
"I wish he would have had the guts to go after you" Steve whispered. My head shot up and raised an eyebrow. "ummm never mind."
"no, what are you talking about" I said to Steve. He sighed. "he used to have a crush on you but he thought you wouldn't go for him because he thought you just saw him as a brother, then he got in his head you like Dally so he gave up and went for the first girl that he saw"
I sighed and rubbed my face in frustration. I really didn't want to believe him. "Steve just stop" I sighed. Steve looked down the looked back at the sadness in my eyes. "I'm sorry I said anything y/n" he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to his chest. He smelled like cheep cologne and oil but I didn't care I returned his hug glade I was getting a little bit of comfort.
The sound of the door opening broke us apart and we turned to see soda and Sandy. "time to close up guys" he said. I thought I saw a hint of jealously in his eyes but it was probably just my imagination. I rolled my eyes at Sandy's smug smile.
"hay why don't the four of us head to the movie theater tonight?" Soda asked with his movie star smile. I quickly turned him down not wanting to deal with Sandy or watch her try to get into his pants the whole night.
"sorry Pepsi, not tonight" his disappointment broke me but I would get backlash from his bitch of a girlfriend if I hung out with them. Steve would probably get his girl Evie and the four would double date.
"I'm gonna head to the house bye boys" I said leaving. I sighed when I was finally along. When I walked out of the building I saw Sandy's car. It was nice showing she's was a Soc. It took a lot of self restraint to not pull out my switchblade and stab her tires.

Chapter 2 of my Stardew Valley Fanfic, now called "The View From The Farm". Find it here on ao3.
Chapter 1.
---
He could forget how quickly the weather changed when he was working in his room. Through the kitchen window it often looked exactly the same, either sunny or cloudy, and if he went out he didn't pay all that much attention to the actual temperature. So his first real indication that Spring was in full swing was when his mum burst into the room with a covered hanger that filled him with cold dread, holding his head in his hands with a groan as she laid it over the arm of the couch.
"Come on Sebby, don't be like that!" she tried to laugh off, pulling the sky blue suit into view once the cover was unzipped. "It'll be nice for you to go out and see everyone! Plenty of people have been asking after you-- you really need to get out of the house more."
Apparently his agonised sneer at the suit wasn't enough of a hint, and he groaned softly as he turned his seat more towards Robin instead. "I really, really don't want to do this, mum..." Just looking at it brought cold bile to his stomach, but Robin only tutted as she went to the cupboard and started rummaging through his shoes, despite him asking her not to.
"A few hours outside in the sun won't kill you, Seb," she said with another laugh, and muttered about all the clutter in the cuboard before pulling out three different pairs of shoes. "Abigail is going, and I'm sure Sam is too. Come on, it'll be fun."
Getting up from his seat he had to pull the shoes from her hand before she listened to him properly, but then came the doe-eyed look that beat him into submission every time she asked him for something. "Please, Sebastian. I don't want to be there with everyone and see you're the only one not taking part. It'll mean so much...!"
Not being there meant not dealing with the entire village in one go but he knew, even with the horrible twisting feeling in his gut, that skipping it would be worse for him in the long run. Sam would never let him hear the end of it, and if Abigail went and he didn't she'd give him hell... and that wasn't even going into how his mum would be for the next few days. Her face lit up the moment he uttered that defeated sigh and she threw her arms around him for a quick hug, before taking the trainers back from him and shaking her head with a tutt. "These won't do at all. I'll see if Demetrius has a pair that'll fit you," she mused out loud, before giving him a firm pat to the shoulder and heading back upstairs.
Following her to the door he gave the suit another nasty look, the cold dread sinking deep in his stomach again at the sight of the sky blue jacket and trousers, but instead of closing the door he went through instead, checking his pockets with a pat for his cigarettes and lighter as he headed up the stairs. Ever since they'd made participation in the stupid dance mandatory to make up the numbers he'd hated everything to do with it; Sam and Abby's participation was one of the only things that kept him from outright refusing to join in, as at least then he wasn't the only one out of the three of them making an absolute twat of himself in front of the entire village. Getting out of it would be much better, but ever since Sam rigged the stereo three years ago the mayor watched them like a hawk and had the monster guild guy guarding the sound system, so 'technical difficulties' were out of the question.
The weather was warmer than he anticipated, and as he walked up to the lake he realised dismally that the year was well and truly on the upswing now. It'd be summer in a heartbeat, and despite the blissful grace of a basement room to keep cool in he knew there would be a fresh wave of interest in his job prospects from his mum. There was something about the change of the seasons that always had her banging on about it ever since he'd finished school, and no amount of explaining the complexities of freelancing made her understand that he was working when he was at his computer. If he wasn't out of the house and getting his hands dirty then it just didn't count, at least in her eyes-- working on his bike made her back off a little but then it was the constant hints about getting a job as a mechanic in the next town over. It was never ending.
At least up by the lake he had a bit of peace. Sitting beneath a tree to keep out of the sun he took a long, deep breath, enjoying the breeze rolling across the surface of the water, which glittered with sunlight. As much as he rathered the comfort of his room he enjoyed coming up to the lake, particularly around this time of the day; everyone was busy with work in some way and he very rarely saw anyone, which meant a peaceful few minutes or half hour in his own company without worrying about any disruptions. And no one complaining about his smoking, most importantly of all. The wind carried all that away.
When he moved away he knew he'd miss this place the most. Any time he visited Zuzu it was constantly buzzing from the sheer volume of people, constantly on the move with somewhere important to go and making it hard to catch a breather. He knew from one day to the next what it would be like in the valley and though he was desperate to get away he wasn't sure he was ready to let go of that just yet, but at least in the city he wouldn't be forced to get up and dance in front of a crowd if he didn't want to. It would just be him, working for himself, with no one cutting into his privacy to remind him of the terrible time he was going to have tomorrow. Well, he'd miss Sam too. Sam was always good for a laugh.
Was there any quiet like this in the city? He'd probably have to carve it out himself, wherever it was that he managed to get a place to live. When he moved there, he'd have his own space. No one would be able to just barge in on him. No one could force him to go to stupid festivals where everyone was staring at him. Just him on his own, working a job he loved, finding a partner and settling down in a penthouse somewhere in the heart of the city. What he wouldn't give to get started... But as it was he still had a shit-load of money to save up to get a flat and get his things moved out there, and with the lack of proper jobs in the valley freelancing was his best bet. So he was stuck in the basement for a few more months at least.
By the end of his cigarette he'd managed to calm his nerves a little, and sat and watched the shimmering water for a few more minutes before getting up and heading back down to the house. He'd live next to a park for sure. Somewhere he could go out and go for a walk in some greenery. That was a must for sure, though maybe he could get by on just coming out to visit home every few months instead.
---
The looming pressure of the flower dance didn't do much to help him sleep, unfortunately, and after a few broken hours he was jarred from a doze by a sharp knock on the wall at the top of his staircase. With a cheerful tone his mum called him up for breakfast, and ten minutes later Maru was calling down to him a little more calmly, greeting him with a sympathetic smile when he finally found the energy to get up and come join them. She mentioned something about the flower dance but his head was spinning from the lack of sleep, and he mumbled a dismissive 'yeah' in response as he passed her on his way to the kitchen.
A stack of toast sat waiting on the table with a pot of coffee, while Robin stood next to the stove with a frying pan in hand and a plate of freshly cooked bacon and eggs at her side on the counter. The smell alone made his stomach turn when he felt so rough, but her only comment as he grabbed his mug for some coffee was how much time he had left to get ready. "We've showered so the bathroom's all yours. Make sure you're ready before eight thirty or we'll be late," she warned him, and reminded him that he agreed yesterday to go when he huffed his reply.
When he moved away he wouldn't have to deal with this. That was all he could think of when he was in the shower, which was for all of five minutes, and when he was back in his room getting ready. Once he'd moved out there would be no more forced participation, no more village faires, no more tacky suits he had to wear to please his mum. When did he even start doing that, anyway? Why did he care so much if his mum was upset? If he didn't want to go, he should just outright refuse and they should accept that. But when eight thirty came he left his room when called, dressed in the horrible, tacky suit. For the sake of his own dignity he stood firm when his mum complained about his hoodie pulled over it and thankfully she gave him that, at least, but she made it clear that he had to wear the jacket once the dance was in full swing and he wasn't about to argue her on that.
With it still being mid-spring the weather worked in his favour, considering the double layer of terrible shirt and dark hoodie. Pushing up his sleeves worked well enough to keep him cool as they made their way down through the village and into the woods, where he managed to break away from his mum and the others when he spotted Abigail and Sam waiting for him down by the river. They were hard to miss as they were already wearing their outfits as well, and while Abigail had tried to put her own spin on it with her old denim jacket Sam seemed content on fully embracing the look, right down to the tacky red silk tie. "Does your mum know you're wearing that?" he teased with a wide grin, giving the hoodie over Sebastian's arm a playful tug and sniggering when he was elbowed away. "Don't be such a downer! It's free food all day for a five minute dance."
Already patting down his pockets for a cigarette Sebastian cast Sam the most withering look he could mustre, only to be caught around the shoulders and urged into a walk down towards the clearing at the other end of the woods by Sam, who'd done the same to Abigail at his other side. "Where's your festive sprirt, guys?"
"It died when they made me do this last year," came Abigail's flat response, though she soon looked past Sam at Sebastian when his pace slowed down as his pocket-searching became a little more frantic. "You alright?"
Since he wasn't wearing his usual jeans he'd put his cigarettes in the pocket of his hoodie, but he couldn't find his lighter anywhere on his person. Swearing softly under his breath he ran a hand through his hair in frustration: hiding away beneath the edge of the clearing and smoking his way through most of the festival had been his plan but that was clearly out the window now, and the way his mum was looking back at them he knew he'd never get away with doubling back to fetch them.
Already frustrated from knowing he'd left his lighter behind and unbelieveably uncomfortable with the upcoming dance Sebastian hid away behind some of the taller decorations at the edge of the clearing, scouting the crowd for the adventure guild guy or Willy in the hopes of borrowing a light from one of them, and spotted a face he didn't recognise out amongst the rest. A sharp spike of nerves struck and he lashed put to grab Sam by the arm, putting a stop to his and Abigail's conversation with Penny with a whimpered 'ow!'. "What the hell-- who the fuck is that?"
It took a moment of scoping to figure out who Sebastian meant and Sam yanked himself free with a laugh. "Who, the farm girl? Haven't you met her yet-- she's been running all over town for weeks! She won the egg hunt, remember? Abs was super pissed."
"Why is she here?"
"Because she lives here too! Damn, man, no need to get so mad about it!"
Sam and Abigail shared a snigger, and promptly split. While Sam went to say hi to the guy he worked with Abby went to check the buffet, and Sebastian made sure to stay out of sight in case any other strangers turned up. No one else was supposed to be here. She wasn't in a costume either-- did she come here voluntarily? He grimaced, disgusted by the thought of socialising at this thing by choice, and reached into his pocket for his cigarettes again only to be hit by disappointment for the second time. That lighter was staying in the pack from now on.
The music kicked off just after lunch, ominously perky and drawing everyone in like blue and white flies. Hayley donned the Flower Crown just like last year, and they spent ten awkward minutes going through the steps for the dance just like-- if not worse-- than last year, and his mum gathered him and Maru together for a mum hug and a photo to add to the collection, just like last year. It was never any different and he didn't understand how anybody could get excited about such a pointless fair, year after year.
He could see his mum making a bee-line for the empty food table as things started winding down and went to make himself scarce before getting roped into helping, only to be flagged down by Sam's mum with a wave and an eager smile, with Sam and his little brother in tow. Within two minutes he had a bin bag in hand and was sent to clear up any stray rubbish, and wasn't allowed to leave until all the equipment was packed up in the back of Mayor Lewis' pick-up. He went to wait for Robin at the edge of the clearing, but at seeing her lost in conversation with Abigail's mum and the farmer he huffed and left, ready to burn the suit the moment he found his lighter back home.

They have a pumpkin lantern!
Tumblr media
Miguel what is your room decorations? A skull...a monster (looks kinda AoT but idk) I kinda expected more spiderman for a guy whose grandma is supposed to be making him a spiderman costume.
Tumblr media
Seriously, Miggy what is alll of this? It's like horror art.
Tumblr media
I also don't know who this dude is that's on his wall multiple times. also the one wall of spooky horror looking art with the other wall of cutesy art is a mood. But also...I don't know any of these references. 😂
Tumblr media
I forgot his first choice for costume was deadpool. I wonder if they didn't put any of those characters he wanted up in his room due to copyright. Since this is pre-netflix money and I assume most of it went to music rights. But again, I might just be missing the references to all these things.
"Miggy what happened to your hand? Uhhh.... You don't want to know." His grandma thinks he injured himself jerking off. 😂
So he's behind on a bunch of bills $430 for a late loan payment, he's made 20 payments but still owes 40 and is behind by like what looks like 2 months.
He owes $45.84 for power via Southern Power Source
My question related to the bills is...didn't he use Sid's check? How little did Sid give him? Or I suppose the other question is where did that money go?
omg I just noticed the LaRusso stairs. Those tiles are so cool!
Tumblr media
Looks like someone drives Jeep Rubric...Kyler maybe? Did Kyler show up first thing? It's not like they're neighbors? Why's he out of the car? Are they driving together or seperate?
Amanda: "outside of wasting a few bucks of tuna he seemed harmless"
AMANDA THAT WAS NOT CHEAP TUNA. That was ridiculously expensive tuna that was wasted. TORO is not cheap.
I mean it's not that Daniel's gotta trust Johnny over Sam, it's that neither Sam doesn't know Kyler's awful (at the moment) and Daniel's met the guy once. There's more nuance to the situation. Plus technically Sam's 'fallen in with the wrong crowd'. She's throwing parties at your house without permission and not cleaning up after them. She's getting into car accidents and not telling anyone about it. She's not hanging out with her old friends. Like it's interesting how most shows put the push on "be friends with people who care about you" but Amanda and Daniel are like "so she wants to be popular" that's a great choice who cares what the people she hangs out with are like. Which do they even know these knew friends of hers?
Louie's movie recommendation: Jungle Fever
West Valley High School home of the Mountain Lions: "can't hide our lion pride" "Keep calm and roar on"
Demetri would rather play a game then get hit in the face...proceeds to get hit in the face later by Kreese.
Tumblr media
2 things: 1 the vape city is new. And 2 that is a completely different address. Isn't that where Tom Cole's shop is?
Johnny's out here taping his signs up on palm trees near the Encino Commons and the first guy he tries to offer karate classes to is like a grandpa. Also, despite his protests on teaching women, he totally tries to give a flyer to a woman jogging past.
Sam has her own en suite bathroom. Which means she and Anthony don't fight over their bathrooms. Lucky, but also disappointing for sibling fighting.
I think the closest we get to TKK Daniel rambling yet is Amanda catching him snooping on Sam's laptop. Goes from wifi issues to making broccoli rabe to wondering if shark tank is on tonight. 😂
Miguel's backpack is also a Dodgers backpack. Yet nothing Dodgers related in his room.
New music mention: Ratt
The school has a swimming pool. Is this the same school that Johnny and Daniel went to or is it new? Does that mean they had swimming gym classes? Daniel did have access to a pool? Or is it a different school or possibly an addition?
"I thought you new this guy." "Of course not I lied." and Miguel's "awwww." like he's exhausted, disappointed but also not surprised.
Tumblr media
What is that?!
Do you think Johnny did Miguel's make up for the skeleton?
I get that a. it's a piece of jewelry and b. it's like innocent but not actually innocent because of Kyler but also Daniel is a chaperone and his job is to keep the kids out of the classrooms...and at the dance...so...he's doing his job.
Kyler lying causes so many issues because everyone believes him. 😂
What sort of teen drama fake app is a 'new video alert'? Like does Yasmine just have everyone's phone number in the entire school???
...Miguel there's no zipper there. The zipper is in the back...how did you? Were you just miming going to the bathroom? Why? So your friends wouldn't feel lonely because you didn't have to go to the bathroom? Also does this mean Johnny and all the cobras had to treat those things like rompers?
So is Kyler captain hook and his friend is smee?
Why would the bathrooms also be the locker rooms that students can lock themselves into???? That seems super unsafe.
I guess if there's a photo of Ali then it must be the same school, but they must've changed their school colors from green and white.

Zee lore answer!
Under the cut is the answer to the poll!! Plus explanations of everything! Yes ik I’m a day early idc-
I’ve never broken a bone but broke an eardrum
I’ve never broken a bone! I was decently careful for a kid so yeah. But! Back in like 3rd grade my eardrum did rupture, and I had to get surgery to fix it. I have like 7-8 stitches.
I technically would’ve failed kindergarten if I didn’t have a dr note
True! If you have a certain number of absences, you’d fail a grade. And I have a chronic illness that (at the time) we were still learning to manage, so i would often get sick and have to go home, thus too many absences and technically failing. So a dr note is the only reason I passed the grade BSHSBAJ
I helped give someone a flu shot
I did in fact do this. My parents are nurses so once they offered me to help (ofc they like. Just guided my hand)
I once sprained my knee just bending it
I have no idea how but I did. I was outside during marching band waiting and went to bend my knee to stretch it and I heard a pop and for the rest of the day I was in nasty pain..
Sprained both of my ankles at the same time the day d4 marching band competition
I’m. I’m a little ashamed of this,, b but I did. It was raining during a football game and I was walking down the stands. But like.. down the seats, not using the stairs. Thankfully I wasn’t holding my instrument but I slipped and my feet caught under the ledge and yeah. Rip me
Had to get pushed out of school TWICE in a wheelchair
This actually is part of the one where I sprained my knee by bending it. Twice I had the most god awful leg cramps, like 8-9 out of 10 pain, I was literally unable to do anything else. So they called my parents and I got wheeled out of the school
Had a lockdown in school cafeteria while in line and we just ate lunch there
True, I don’t know what else to add onto this. Not sure if it’s true but a guy down the road stole a car and had a gun.
Got toothpaste, metal, hairspray, eyeliner, and glowstick juice in my eye
S sadly this is true. I was a kid when I got glowstick juice in my eye so I don’t remember it much but god the toothpaste and metal…
I wear contacts and when I was brushing my teeth once I didn’t check my hand to see if it was clean and when to adjust my contact and oops peppermint hell goes into my eye. I was in pain for HOURS JSHSBSHH
And the metal.. I was in welding and my dumbass didn’t have safety glasses while my instructor was grinding down this weld.
The other stuff is self explanatory on how it gets in an eye
Got an under the counter covid shot
True. Kind of. The way it’s worded without context makes it sound sketchy, but basically; nurse parents.
Stole a stop sign while my coworkers cheered me on
Very much true! I was leaving work one day and saw a stop sign was beaten and fallen off the post but still. It was kind of attached? I just decided to take it and my coworkers cheered me on. I still have it
Kicked some kid in the balls and he just bent over and gave me a thumbs up
Wh. Why does this one have the most votes. Maybe because it’s the most normal ? But it’s true. I did martial arts and was sparing with this kid and went to kick his leg and missed. I felt really bad-
So the lie is: I’m not allergic to penicillin!
I’m not allergic to anything except maybe fragrances! I don’t even know if I’ve had penicillin, I’m sure I have since I was a Sick Kid but I don’t remember it-
So yeah no bad allergic reactions for me. Sadly everything else is true. I’m a tad bit of a dumbass.

So I'm buying a house. Like. A whole dang house. As someone who's pretty terrible at being an adult, this process is terrifying. I keep going back and forth between being excited and wondering what the hell I think I'm doing. In an effort (probably in vain) to keep my brain focused on the latter, I'm making a list. All pros, no cons since I don't need that in my life right now.
Hopefully no more very brief power blips at the start of minor storms that like to happen when I'm in the middle of playing a video game. This actually happened earlier and what prompted me to start typing this up as I waited for my internet connection to come back.
No more sharing a wall with a guy who likes to crank up his music for a couple hours each night. Headphones are useless, my brain knows it's there, so it seeks out the annoyance against my wishes.
No more sharing a…floor? with people who like to yell at their barking dog and crying child to shut up.
I'll finally have a bathroom (2 bathrooms!) that hasn't been used by strangers. Removing the sliding shower door and cleaning the questionable crud on the bottom a few years ago nearly made me throw up three times (that is not an exaggeration) and I've never felt truly clean since then.
No more living right next to the county fairgrounds. Hearing cows and sheep and roosters once or twice a year is kinda fun. Concerts so loud that the noise makes my walls and windows shake, not so much.
More room for activities!! And storage. Really looking forward to the storage and having more shelving so I don't have to keep any of my favorite junk hidden away in boxes.
A better kitchen! There are some recipes I haven't tried in a while (or never tried at all) since I don't have enough storage space (see above) to keep various cooking gear on hand.
A GARAGE!!!!!! My poor car hasn't had a roof over it's head for most of its life and I'm tired of how filthy it gets. The headlights have so much built up gunk on them I haven't bothered trying to clean since being outdoors 24/7 means it'd probably get bad again eventually. I'm weirdly looking forward to cleaning those and wonder if there'll be a noticeable difference in the light quality.
No more lugging groceries up the stairs. The garage leads right into the kitchen plus I won't have to shut the back hatch between trips if I can't carry everything in one go since I'm paranoid someone might try something funny in the few seconds my car would be out of my sight. Plus, I won't have to worry about wasps trying to build a nest in the door cracks. ...Hopefully.
Garbage and recycling pick up! I'm mainly happy that I won't have to take my recycling to a drop off center anymore. I tend to let it pile up…
Closer to family! I currently live on the opposite side of town. It's not a long drive to see them, but it'll be nice to be only 2-5 minutes away.
Customizing!!! I know I can technically paint the walls in my apartment if I wanted to, but putting everything back to normal before moving out would be a headache. If I want to go ham and Jackson Pollock up a wall I can do as I damn well please.
I will have a patio! It's small but it's a place to put a chair outside!! I can sit outside and not have to worry about making eye contact with neighbors!!!
Complementary to #13 - I will have a YARD! I can GO TOUCH GRASS. I can get a DOG someday. I'll have to get a fence installed first which won't be cheap, but that's okay because DOG.
The front door is purple. PURPLE. That was actually a paint choice the builder had and I took it. When I give directions to my house I can tell people it's the one with the purple door. No one tell my dad. He would uh...totally approve and I want it to be a surprise. Yeah.
I can mount a TV. Again, I technically could do it in my apartment but I don't really trust the walls to hold up… Anyway, I have a plan to move my consoles and other things currently hooked up on the TV stand to a shelf where I can have better cable management. That means no more cable jungle! Seriously, I wonder if the space behind my TV can be considered a fire hazard.
I think that's all I've got for now? I'll probably think of more to add to the list, but that covers most of it. If you read all that…what the hell man, I appreciate it but I know you've got better things to do with your time.

Hello! It's Winter. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. This story was inspired by an article I read (could be false lol) about Tiphaine coming home late.
It was midnight when Emmanuel woke up to find himself alone in bed. Brigitte had gone to sleep at the same time as him, but now she wasn’t there. Placing a hand on her side, Emmanuel was surprised to find the bedsheets cold.
He slipped out of bed to search for his wife.
After failing to find her in the bathroom or kitchen, he went to the living room. There she was, looking out the window onto the dark street. He stood for a moment, soaking in her timeless beauty. Brigitte was a vision in a white silk robe, her blonde hair neatly tied up in a ponytail.
“Cherie, what’s wrong? Why aren’t you in bed?” Emmanuel caressed her back.
“Tiphaine is not home yet. I’m worried” Brigitte whispered. “It’s 12:45 am. She promised me she’d be home by midnight. She's late”
Emmanuel had not realized the exact time. “It’s okay. I’m sure she’ll be home any minute. She’s a big girl, she can handle herself”
He wanted to sound reassuring for Brigitte, but deep down he was worried too. Yes, Tiphaine was technically an adult but she was only 22 years old. Their daughter was a beautiful girl who piqued the interest of a lot of men - older and younger. It hadn’t been that long since Emmanuel was in school, so he knew the way college guys operated. Not everyone was a “one-woman man” like him.
“I’m sure she’s fine, Cherie. Let’s go back to our bedroom” Emmanuel pleaded, reaching for her hand.
“No. I won’t go until I know she’s safe. I didn’t have this problem with my other kids. Tiphaine likes to push the limits, break the rules'' Brigitte sighed. “I don't even know where she is, or who she's with”
“Let’s watch television. It will distract you” Emmanuel suggested. Without giving Brigitte a chance to protest, he turned on the television and pulled her onto his lap.
It didn’t take long before they became engrossed in a World War 2 documentary.
“Brigitte, she’s home!” Emmanuel declared, hearing a car door slam outside. “Brigitte? Honey?”
Without him realizing it, his wife had fallen asleep in his arms. Emmanuel carefully repositioned her body, so as not to wake her, in order to greet Tiphaine.
She was fumbling with her keys in the lock when the front door opened wide. “Oh, hey Manu, did I wake youuu?” Tiphaine slurred.
“No, I was watching television with your mother,” Emmanuel explained. He noticed she was tipsy. “Are you drunk? Who drove you home?”
Tiphaine sighed. “I had 2 beers, like, an hour ago…and a few cranberry shots. A friend dropped me off”
“It’s past your curfew” he pointed out. “You were supposed to be home an hour ago”
“I’m sorry. I was having a really good time at the club and I didn’t want to leave. Is Maman mad?” Tiphaine asked, suddenly aware they were still standing in the entryway.
“She’s not mad, just worried. Your mother was in the living room waiting for you, looking out the window and pacing back and forth. Eventually, she fell asleep on the couch. Tiphaine, I know you like to go out but your mother was a nervous wreck. She loves you - we both do. So please come home at a reasonable hour. You have a curfew for a reason” Emmanuel explained softly.
Tiphaine understood where he was coming from. Even though he wasn’t her biological father, she respected him. “I’m sorry Manu. I’ll apologize to Maman in the morning”
He kissed her cheek. “Go upstairs and get ready for bed”
After making sure she got up the stairs on her own, he headed back to the living room.
“Oh! You’re awake? How much of that did you hear?”
Brigitte wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his lips. “I heard everything. I woke up when you opened the front door. Thank you, darling”
“For what, Cherie?” Emmanuel deepened the kiss.
“For loving my daughter like she was yours”
“She is mine. Now, let’s go” Emmanuel let his hands wander inside her robe. “Our bed must be lonely without us”
Hellooo Winter! ❤️
Protective stepfather Manu is adorable 🥰 And at the same time, also wanting to protect Brigitte. If he’s not the cutest human being 🥰 And Brigitte listening to everything 🤧🥰
Thank you so much, Winter! ❤️❤️❤️

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sun is a magical thing. It lights up and warms the Earth, it enhances your mood, it helps plants grow, it literally provides for life. Without the sun, life on Earth would cease to exist. What the sun also does? The sun also shines down on us and lights up the most beautiful things. The sun today, however, is especially highlighting the most beautiful thing. The way the glittering rays gleam through the windows you can see how todays sun focuses on him.
That’s right, you guessed it. Kim Taehyung. His skin is absolutely glowing in the rays, his eyes sparkle in the light that shines down. Yes, Kim Taehyung is an other-worldly being. The way he just stands there and shimmers you can’t help but stare but also like, shy away because his beauty is so god damn blinding. Wait…was this dramatic? This might be dramatic. You’re too far gone to care though. His boxy grin, the way his hair falls into his eyes, the mole on his—
“I just want you to know, you are fucking drooling.” You hear the scoff of the man across from you, Jeon Jungkook, also known as your best friend.
You lazily shake your head as the two of you sit nice and snug in the booths of your favorite coffee shop. It’s one of the colder spring days, the breeze biting at your skin when you were outside but now, you have Jungkook’s scarf wrapped loosely around your neck and hot coffee in your hands.
“I mean, I get it. He’s gorgeous but do you really have to go this far?”
You bring the white mug full of black coffee to your lips. It’s hot and burns the tip of your tongue, but not anything you’re not use to.
“Yes.” You state plainly. You know exactly to what he is referring to. You don’t usually come here at this time, in fact you are usually a creature of habit and come at the same time on the same days… Tuesday and Thursdays in the evening but its Friday and like 1pm. But you knew Kim Taehyung was going to be here when he snapped a picture of the famous white mug with the shops logo on it and posted on his story. You bring your hand up to your forehead, saluting to the sky, “Thank you Snapchat.” So yes, naturally when you saw he was at this coffee shop you hurried to make sure you were too. Maybe it is fucking desperate. Okay it is. But could you blame a girl? He was one of the hottest guys you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
“This is ridiculous,” Jungkook huffs into his own mug, “You could just talk to him…”
Now it was your turn to scoff.
“As fucking if!”
Jungkook smirks into his mug, taking a sip of the burning hot coffee. “That incapable, hmm?”
“It’s not that I’m incapable JK,” You blow on the drink nonchalantly, “I am simply just not worthy.”
“You are so stupid, I swear.” He huffs into his mug again.
“What do you mean?”
Jungkook breathes out slowly, biting his lip as if contemplating what to say.
It’s like, what can he say? He wishes he could tell you a million things that would ease your mind, that could possibly give you the confidence you need or maybe just slap the reality on you that Taehyung doesn’t deserve you. But then he will get asked ‘why’ and he can’t have that.
“What?” you whine into your cup before setting it down.
“You’re really cool and also pretty?” he says quirking a brow in question. Because apparently that’s all he can come up with.
“That’s a question? Also am I dying? You’re complimenting me?” you tease, giving him an exaggerated look of satisfaction.
“I just mean…” Jungkook runs a hand through his messy dark locks, “You have nothing to worry about, ya know?”
Nothing to worry about he says! What does he know? He can literally get any girl—or guy for that matter—that he wants. You dip your head, frowning at the idea.
Jungkook has been your best friend since your freshmen year and there’s nothing you treasure more than his friendship. You bite your lips and tilt your head trying to recall his first presence in your life…oh! That stupid frat party freshmen year…you met at a frat party during your first semester and totally hit it off. Did he try to get into your pants? Okay, yeah maybe. He offered a room just up the stairs that night, but you refused…seemingly too shy. But Jungkook was nothing but understanding. He pat your back and said he knew a better place, and that was the 24 diner down the street. And the rest is history
“Obviously I don’t know and oh my god don’t look but—” You try saying before Jungkook is completely turning his head around to look. Classic Jungkook.
“Oh hey Tae.” Jungkook says in The Kim Taehyungs direction. Taehyung walks up to your table, you thought the sun only highlighted his beauty but up close he is the sun. You knew it was a magical thing.
“Hey guys! “ Taehyung stands there as bright as a fucking light, waving at you and your best friend. Oh yeah, did we forget to mention Jungkook is also friends with said Kim Taehyung? Okay, so maybe talking to Taehyung shouldn’t be that hard, since you share the same fucking friends. And you guys are technically friends too.
“Sup dude.” Jungkook shrugs nonchalantly, picking up his coffee mug once again. His long fingers wrapping around the porcelain, warming him up. You watch as Jungkook takes a sip of his beverage with his doe eyes on you, he nods his head towards Taehyung and winks at you as he gulps down the drink. Of course, he’s teasing you.
“Hey y/n!” Taehyungs smile shines so brightly you want to actually kill yourself. What is up with this dude and being so blinding?
“Hey Taehyung…” you gulp your coffee awkwardly, giving him a small wave of the hand.
“y/n I told you to call me Tae!”
“Right…” you chuckle into the coffee creating bubbles of the liquid like the fucking pathetic lil thang you are.
Yeah, talking to The Kim Taehyung is not your specialty. Never was.
2 years ago
Your head is buried in books on the table of your campuses library with Jungkook fast asleep next to you. Statistics shouldn’t be this hard but it fucking is and you are groaning into your book, on the verge of pulling your hair out when a deep voice that rumbles your insides interrupts you—actually fuck it, you don’t feel like getting into a flashback. Just know that you met Taehyung (officially through Jungkook) and he ended up calling you pretty and you’ve thought about it every day since. Because you are pathetic. What’s new?
And that was it, that’s all it took for you to gain a massive crush on the boy.
“What’s up dude?” Jungkook asks again. He is now scrolling through his phone, probably swiping through Tinder, if you have to guess. And you’re right because he’s turning his phone towards you showing you some random girl, his wide eyes asking for your opinion. You roll your eyes and nod your head ‘yes’. As you can guess, this happens quite often.
“Ummm…” Taehyung runs a frustrated hand through his hair, you slowly tilt your head to soak him in when you notice he looks almost…panicked? “I need help with something actually,” but he isn’t looking at Jungkook as he says this, no. He’s looking at you.
“You see that girl at the counter over there? The one with long hair, not the other one.” He nods his head in the general direction while still remaining discreet.
You tilt your head to steal a glance at the counter and yes you do see the girl he is referring to. She’s got long brown hair that reaches her waist and man, she is gorgeous. Big, bright eyes. Full, pouting lips. Long legs and yeah, the works. Taehyung sure knows how to pick them. Did he need help to get her number of something? Like a wing woman? You mean, does he really need the help?
“Yes, I see her.” Is all you say to him and you expect him to ask you to go over there but instead he says,
“Great. I need you to be my girlfriend.”
You blink lazily at him as you process his words while Jungkook chokes on his drink.
“You want her to be your what?” Jungkook is the first to speak.
“My girlfriend.” He says again before his eyes go wide, “Like, like my fake girlfriend.” Taehyung turns a wonderful shade of red before his hand is reaching to scratch the back of his neck, chuckling to himself. “This girl—Anna…she is a bit obsessed? Ya know? Won’t leave me alone type thing and …and I have tried saying I have a girlfriend but she followed me to this coffee shop when she heard I was here. Like, who does that?”
Now it’s your turn to turn red, because you. You would fucking do that.
“That’s horrible Taehy—” you begin to say before Taehyungs large eyes pierce into your own, “Please y/n.”
“Anna???” Jungkook cuts in setting his phone on the table. “Like Anna Anna?” Jungkook squints his eyes at his friend before scoffing. “...She’s not doing it.” his eyes go between Taehyung and this girl Anna. “Don’t involve her in whatever game you—"
“I’ll do it.” You say, even surprising yourself. “I mean, it’s just pretend and for this moment so why not?” you begin to explain yourself. Plus for a few minutes you can pretend you’re really his girlfriend and your delusional mind will thrive off that.
Tae is quick to straighten his back and smile widely before he is ushering you to scoot over in the booth to let him in. “Scoot scoot” he whispers, grinning from ear to ear.
“Tae, you can’t be serious—” Jungkook is quick to say something, anything. His hands scrambling to grab his phone and hands it to Taehyung from across the table. “Here. Call up some other girl to do this. Don’t involve y/n.” Taehyung gives Jungkook a look of panic before Jungkook speaks up again, “Plus, y/n would be the worst fake girlfriend,” And that’s it. That’s all it takes. Jungkook’s constant negativity pisses you off so much that it drives what you say next.
“No need Taehyung.” You snatch Jungkook’s phone and shove it back in his hands. “Why don’t you call up one of your girls yourself and leave us alone?”
Jungkook looks at you shocked, his brows furrowing so deeply you are almost concerned for his face and the wrinkles that might set in.
“y/n…?” his stupid doe eyes look at you with so much confusion.
“I just mean, I can do this Jungkook. Don’t have to be so concerned.”
At that, Taehyung lights up.
“Great!” and his long arm wraps around your waist and when he was sure Anna is looking he leans in to plant a soft kiss to your cheek. “Thanks for doing this…” he whispers in your ear before placing another kiss.
Your eyes meet Jungkook’s shocked ones. He looks like he just saw a ghost, all the color drained from his face as he watches you and Taehyung.
“Uh….” You don’t have any words for Taehyung—or Tae as he likes to be called.
You don’t even have the balls to glance his way, you don’t even have the balls to breathe in his direction.
“Look at me?” Taehyung’s finger is on your chin, guiding it towards his face.
“No…” Jungkook spurts out, “I mean, y/n don’t we have to go?” Jungkook looks at you with a look you’ve never really seen before. Maybe it’s desperation but you don’t really care.
“We don’t actually” you respond nonchalantly.
And with that you turn to face Taehyung more properly. His face is so close to yours it’s almost suffocating.
“What is it…Tae?” you try out his nickname for the first time. His cheeks flush and he scoots back just an inch.
“Thank you for doing this but…” his eyes slide to the side, eyeing Jungkook. “I was thinking we could do this for a couple of weeks, at the least. Ya know, to make it believable.”
Surprising you and Taehyung, Jungkook rises from his seat at the booth,
“y/n let’s go.” He simply states, not even looking at you. Taehyung looks panicked as you look between the boys.
“Tae…” you started to say before Jungkook reaches over the table to grab your wrist, “Come oooooooonnnnn” But you are quick to yank it back.
“Stop Jungkook, you’re being childish.”
Taehyung tightens his hold on you, “Yeah Kookie, sit back down…please.”
Jungkook rolls his eyes at Taehyung, giving him a look that screams ‘are you serious?!’
“Childish? Okay.” He gives you a look of disappointment before grabbing his phone and his bag and walking away from the table. You watch in disbelief as Jungkook’s figure disappears from your view. What was up with him?
“Sorry, I don’t know what’s going on with him…”
“Right…” Tae responds quietly, his grip on your waist loosening up. “He’s just really protective over you, huh?” Taehyung bites his lip in contemplation, “y/n. I’m serious, let’s do this. I’ll pay for your coffee for the next month if you do this with me. Please, I am quite literally begging you.” He breathes out through his nose in an attempt to laugh. “She won’t leave me alone otherwise.”
You bite your lip in deep thought, your brows pulled together. Taehyung couldn’t help but find you cute.
“For a month? What happened to a few weeks?” you ask, a playful smirk gracing your features.
Taehyung couldn’t help the grin that made its way on his face.
“1 month.” He breathes out. “Unless you fall in love with me during that time and beg for more time….” He pokes his tongue out, his teasing tone going straight to your lady bits. If only he knew.
“Fine, but we should set some ground rules…don’t you think?”
“Okay. Like what?”
“Oh…I don’t—”
Taehyung raises a brow, “Don’t say something stupid like ‘no kissing’…because we want to make it as realistic as possible, don’t we?” he leans in just a bit more. Without Jungkook around Taehyung seems a bit more confident.
“Oh, you want to kiss me then?”
“It’s just for show. We don’t gotta think too hard about it.” His face inches closer and closer.
“Love…” you say, in a complete daze. Too lost in Taehyungs big brown eyes.
“What about it?” he doesn’t blink, just continues to stare into your eyes.
“We…would if one of us catches feelings? Then we should stop it, right?” You choke out.
Taehyung squeezes his eyes shut as an impossibly cute giggle escapes his lips, “You’re so cute. How many romcoms have you watched to come up with that line?”
“I’m serious.” You push your head back, “This could become hurtful if one of us falls in love…” You say this knowing it’s you. Well, obviously. Just because Taehyung called you pretty 2 years ago doesn’t mean he likes you.
“Okay, sweetheart.” Taehyung gets close again, “I’ll tell you.” And then he leans in, just an inch from your face. His lips hovering over your own and you can see his eyes still on you, like he’s silently asking for permission. You can’t help the nod of your head and you, yourself don’t stop yourself from leaning in.
Taehyungs lips are just as soft as you had always imagined. His lips only peck yours, the kiss is short but sweet. Once he pulls back you see his eyes slide to the counter where that Anna girl stands, and a look of relief washes over his features.
“Thank God, she bought it. She looks pissed,” he laughs loudly, “She saw us and is totally storming out!”
Oh, right. This is all for show.
“Oh, good.”
“Thanks y/n!” Taehyung’s smile is so wide it takes up the entire booth. He goes in for a quick hug, pulling back he smiles again before reaching his hand to pat your head.
“You’re a good girl.” He says and slips out of the booth. Welp, you wish those words didn’t go straight to your vagina.
“Uh, thanks.” You sputter out, not entirely sure what just happened.
“See you later?” he asks then his face lights up, “I’ll bring you a coffee.”
“Well, that is the deal.” You shoot him some pathetic finger guns.
You stare down at your now cold coffee, and look across from you at the now empty booth where Jungkook once sat.
“I’ll text you with more details later!” he shakes his phone in his hand,
“Bye bye…girlfriend.” He finishes off with a wink and skips, yes fucking skips away.
You are left alone at your table, with an empty seat across from you and a cold coffee. And now a fake boyfriend with the guy you have a massive crush on. This couldn’t possibly go all wrong, could it?
~~~
“This is definitely going to go all wrong, you realize that, right? This is a bad idea y/n and you know it.”
Jungkook’s legs are swung over your own as he lays on the couch, his focus on his phone in his hands. He wears his gray puma sweat suit you love so much and smells exactly the same as always—clean laundry and his own musk. You can’t help but eye him over, his dark strands of hair falling into his eyes as he bobbles his head to rid himself of the stray pieces. You aren’t blind, Jungkook is like, crazy hot and sometimes your staring can become a problem.
“Like, ‘we can’t fall in love with each other’” he mocks, “What sort of bullshit? You already in love, aren’t you?” he peeks over his phone to get a look at you waiting for some sort of rejection of his words.
“It’s just a crush, Jungkook.”
“Sure.” His eyes go back to his screen. “You’re pretty dumb for doing this.”
“Did I mention we kissed?”
“Only 100 times now you sicko.” Jungkook rolls his eyes and you can’t help but giggle.
It’s no secret that Jungkook is against this—whatever this is. He always has been…ever since you mentioned it 2 years ago sophomore year.
“No.”
“What do you mean ‘no’?!” you ask in disbelief.
You just confessed your little crush on Taehyung to Jungkook, the two of you sitting across from one another in the library when he rolls his eyes, obviously annoyed.
“Can you not yell? We’re literally in a library. And I don’t feel like getting kicked out this week…again.” He rolls his pen between his fingers as he speaks.
“Okay one: that’s your own fault for getting caught with your hand down some girls pants. And Two: what do you mean ‘no’?”
“Taehyung is off limits for you.” He says, totally unbothered.
“What the hell does that even mean?”
“It means, he’s my friend for one so gross, and also he’s kind of like…emotionally unavailable.”
You chew on your pen, wondering what that could mean. Like, he doesn’t date? He doesn’t ‘do’ relationships? He’s already in love with someone else?
“I’m not telling you.” Jungkook’s pen slides against his paper as he writes, “His life.”
Oh, you asked that out loud.
“Whatever Jungkook, it’s just a crush.”
It feels nice to have a crush on someone other than…
Ding
Your phone goes off and you hurry to check it. What? It could be Taehyung wanting to go over the details of the ‘plan’. But much to your disappointment it was just Jimin.
Jimin 9:42pm
Where are you guys? Party has BEEN started girl
Y/N 9:42pm
We’re about to leave babe, see you soonish
Jimin 9:43pm
You guys fuckin? *smirk face emoji*
Y/N 9:43pm
Did you just…write smirk face emoji instead of putting the emoji itself
Y/N 9:44pm
Also how many times do I have to tell you JK and I aren’t like that
Jimin 9:45pm
Whatevs, see you soon babe xoxo
You set your phone down in your lap, your fingers going to massage Jungkook’s calves as you sneak a glance at him, he closes his eyes in satisfaction as you continue massaging the muscle.
“We gotta get go—also, that’s now what you’re wearing right?”
“Not going tonight. But have fun.” Jungkook sets his phone on his chest, letting out a long breath while folding his arms behind his head. He looks comfortable like, you almost believe him that he’s really staying in.
“Yeah, okay.”
“I’m serious.”
“What do you mean?”
“Y/N why don’t we just stay in tonight?” He whines, he unfolds his arms and reaches for your hand. “Let’s go buy a 12 pack, get fucked up and just ya know, stay in.” Though this doesn’t sound like a bad idea, it also sounds like every Friday night with the two of you and you want to do something different tonight. But it would take some convincing. You interlock your fingers with his and he melts at your touch, his dopey smile growing.
“It’s a good idea, right?” he says, blinking up at you.
You smile back, tilting your head just the slightest before your smile drops altogether.
“No.”
“Ugh!” Jungkook throws his head back on the sofas armrest, “Why are you like this?”
“You still love me.” You chirp swinging his legs off yours and standing to your feet.
“Now get dressed and I promise that I’ll leave you alone for the rest of the weekend and you can bring whatever poor girl back to the apartment.”
Oh yes, your best friend is also your roommate. You’ve been living together for the last year—it just made the most sense. He was always over at yours or vise versa. So it made the most sense to save money and just room together. It worked out almost perfectly—almost. He paid his half of rent on time, he cleaned the dishes, he did laundry. Wait a minute, what the hell did you offer? That’s beside the point, the best of all he was always there when you needed him. The one downfall…the girls he brought over.
It got so bad that you couldn’t even sleep. You get it, your best friend is obviously…gifted. If the girls whines and moans and screams were any indication. So you had to set some rules for your sanity! For one, the other must always warn the other when bring home a person for the night. And two, its best if the other is already like, not home. Jungkook quickly agreed…something about how he doesn’t want to hear you either.
So, offering to be gone all weekend so he can have as much sex in his bed as he wants is probably going to be convincing enough.
You study Jungkook’s features, his brows pinched together almost comically, and his lips formed into the cutest pout.
“All weekend?” he asks, kicking imaginary rocks with his feet. “Like, no interruptions?”
“No interruptions you absolute whore.”
“Fine, deal.” He looks into your eyes and something flashes across them that you cant pinpoint. “I guess I’ll get dressed…but wait, where will you stay?”
“Probably with Jimin.” You shrug.
“Hm, okay.” Jungkook walks towards his room while lifting his sweatshirt over his head and throwing it behind him, the article of clothing landing on the floor. “And you’re doing laundry.”
“Brat.” You say rolling your eyes but you can’t help but smile.
You don’t take long to get ready yourself, you settle for a casual look tonight…okay, semi-casual, meaning you’re wearing jeans but you are wearing a nice, low cut blouse that shows a generous amount of cleavage. It’s your go to titty shirt. You aren’t really looking to get laid tonight or anything but you do want onlookers to wish you were.
You bounce your knee up and down while sitting on the sofa as you not so patiently wait on your bff, you call out for him but he only yells back that you need to like, chill out. After what feels like forever, the creak of his bedroom door opening can be heard and you quickly stand to your feet to face him.
“Woah.” Is all you manage to say as Jungkook walks out of his room, his cologne filling the air around you. “You look…” you can’t even finish your sentence without Jungkook’s stupid smirk already on his face. His pants are skin tight, the material practically melted on to his thick thighs that are deliciously exposed thanks to rips and holes. His plain white tee is accompanied by a fine leather jacket and his hair is split down the middle, the waves adorning his face. He looks damn good. And you both fucking know it.
“I look?” he teases, walking closer to you. His cologne suffocating your nostrils but you aren’t upset about it.
“You look…fine. You look better than before at least.” You choke out. It’s not that Jungkook is capable of making you nervous but sometimes he has this aura about him…no, you don’t even want to get into it. Those are thoughts you’ve trained yourself to push away.
“Whatever.” His eyes skim over your body shamelessly, “You look fine too.” He winks, walking past you.
“Ready to go?” he calls out over his shoulder. You can’t help but watch his tight ass walk away. Did you really say tight ass? Well it is!
“Yeah, lemme grab my purse and uh, uh we can go. You’re driving.”
~~~
“About fucking time, sluts.”
“Hello to you too, Jiminie.” You crack a smile as your friend goes in for a quick but tight hug.
When Jungkook finally introduced you to all his friends the one you hit it off with the most was good ol’ Jimin. He immediately became one of your closest friends.
“Yo Park.” Jungkook’s eyes are all around the place, not even sparing Jimin a glance. No doubt looking for his girl for the night already. What? It’s a safe assumption.
“Jeon.” Jimin rolls his eyes playfully. “You guys took forever, too busy fucking?”
You hit Jimin’s shoulder with your own, giving him a look that says you’ll scold him later.
“She wishes.” Jungkook finally puts his attention on the two of you, a wide smile growing on his face.
“Shut up.”
“What? It’s true! Oh my god Jimin, you should of seen her face when she saw me walk out in this fit.” Jungkook stands tall, hands grabbing onto the material of his leather jacket,
“She was like “oh my god Jungkook you look so go—” You go to hit his stomach with your fist but thanks to his rock hard abs you only end up hurting yourself. “Fuck! Ow! What’s under your shirt?” you yell over the music.
“Oh baby, you can find out. Should we go upstairs? I know a room.” He says with a wink.
The words ring a bell of familiarity in your head, each syllable echoing softly. A small smile forms on your lips and Jungkook gives you the softest smile in return. Did he just say the same line he used on you 3 years ago when you two met?
3 years ago
The music is booming so loudly you can’t even hear yourself think. This isn’t your first frat party and probably won’t be your last but you just can’t get use to it. You let your dormmate drag you to this stupid party only for her to ditch you in the first 10 minutes. Great.
You weave through the crowd trying to locate the kitchen to get your hands on the strongest drink you can find, lord knows you need it.
The kitchen is just as crowded as the rest of the house unfortunately. So many bodies. Bodies doing shots. Bodies doing shots off other bodies. Bodies playing games. Bodies grinding against other bodies. So many fucking bodies. It is honestly overwhelming. You walk towards the punch bowl, reaching for a red solo cup when another hand bumps into yours.
“Whoops sorry, go ahead.” The hand is attached to this boy—or man? Should you say man? He sure looks like one. He eyes you up and down before smiling down at you.
“Freshmen?” he asks.
You slump your shoulders, “Do I really look that outta place?” you pout.
“It’s not that…I just have a way of knowing.” He laughs. “I’m Namjoon, by the way.”
Namjoon, huh? He is cute that was for sure. “Y/N.” you say placing a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Pretty!” he smiles, then his eyes look behind you. “Ay! Jungkook! What did I say?! No more Keg stands!!!!” Then Namjoon’s eyes are back on you, “Sorry Y/N gotta go, gotta take care of this brat.” Then walks past you to this mysterious Jungkook person.
Your eyes follow Namjoon as he rushes to whoever this Jungkook guy is. Namjoon pulls him to the side obviously scolding him for apparently doing too many keg stands. Jungkook looks like a small child who is about to get grounded, and you can’t help but giggle. Unfortunately, this caught Jungkook’s attention. He looks straight at you, his eyes narrowing. Wait a minute. You recognize him! He definitely looks like the same guy from your Lit class on Tuesday and Thursdays. Yup, you get one long good look at him and he is definitely the same heartthrob of a dude from your class. All the girls go crazy for this guy, you mean, you guess you get it. He is really hot. He’s got on a black t shirt and some ripped jeans, and tousled hair.
Jungkook looks at you again with furrowed brows then smirks. Fuck, you were staring. And got caught. You see Jungkook pat Namjoon on the shoulder a few times then walk past him, much to Namjoon’s annoyance.
And he’s walking towards….you. FUCK. In a total panic, you twirl around to face the wall, yes the fucking wall when you feel a tap on your shoulder.
“’Scuse me?” a voice says from behind you. You’re not going to play dumb, you know who the voice probably belongs to. You stay facing the wall, like a fucking weirdo.
“Wanna turn around?” his voice is light and teasing and you can’t help the long release of breath before turning to face him. Wow. Up close he’s even more handsome….
“Hi?” you sputter out, completely unaware of how lame and shy you sound.
“Hey, like what you see?” he nods his head in the direction he just came from, clearly amused.
“I don’t know what you mean.” Apparently playing dumb is how you decide to go about this. You stare at him with a blank expression, swaying from side to side. Lucky for you it’s in beat with the music so you look kind of cool. At least that’s what you’re telling yourself.
“I mean, you kept staring at me so.”
“No, its…it’s not like that”
“Then, what’s it like?”
“I just…I thought I recognized you so…” you wipe your sweaty hands on your black denim skirt. “That’s all.” You finish, still looking at him like you haven’t done anything weird tonight.
“Anderson’s Lit class right?” he asks with a pointed look. “I recognized you too.” His smirk does things to your lower half but you shouldn’t be admitting that right now.
“Oh?” is all you manage to say.
Jungkook studies you for a few moments, his gaze so dark and intimidating and you feel so flushed with his eyes on you. Then he groans with fingers rushing through his messy hair,
“Do you understand this week’s assignment?”
He…he wants to talk about school?
“Yes, I do. Because this assignment is wack as fuck.”
OH. You must of asked that out loud.
“Yes, you did.”
Oh, that too.
“Umm, yeah. What aren’t you understanding?” you finally say something relevant.
“It’s just more like, I think it’s a stupid assignment.” He chuckles, “Oh, you got something—” he reaches his hand forward to your hair, his fingers brushing through your long strands, pulling back with a piece of string. “Got it.” He says with a sly smile.
HOW CHEESY!!!! But like, it still made the heartbeat in your vagina go boom boom.
“Ya know…” he begins, his eyes never leaving yours as he talks. You actually don’t even know what he is talking about but his lips move so quickly you try to follow them. Your eyes on his lips the whole time, you don’t even realize it.
“…and that’s why I think it’s stupid.” He finally finishes with an obnoxious laugh. “Hey—hey are you even listening?” he says, his lips in a pout. You would know because they are all you’ve been staring at.
“Huh?” you blink lazily up at him, “Oh. Yeah. I totally agree.”
Jungkook stares at you seriously for a second before breaking out into a cackle, yes a cackle like he’s some hysterical witch. Which sounds really unattractive but honestly you’re digging it.
“It’s okay, you weren’t listening. I guess I’m not that interesting, huh?”
“No no! You are!” You’re quick to say, your hands waving frantically in front of you.
“Oh? So you do find me interesting?” he smirks, folding his arms across his chest.
You scoff at his words, appreciating his moves on you with a sly smile.
“Are you always this smooth?” you ask, a light teasing tone laced in your voice.
“Oh baby, you can find out. Should we go upstairs? I know a room.” He teases back.
Feeling so at home lost in your memories with Jungkook, you finally break free from the flashback. For some reason that’s a flashback you don’t mind reliving.
“Smooth.” You grin at Jungkook, you can’t help the blush that paints itself on your cheeks.
“For you? Always.” He grins back. You two just stare at one another, basking in the memories of your friendship.
“Okay, enough.” Jimin cuts in, his hands on both yours and Jungkook’s shoulders, “Either actually get a room and finally fuck or get on with your nights.”
You and Jungkook exchange awkward glances before turning towards the living room to join the party. Jimin is left at the houses entrance by the front door, totally dumbfounded. “these two idiots…” he scoffs under his breath, his eyes rolling so far back into his head.
Hours pass and you know what? The party isn’t as lame as you thought it might be. You are lost in the music on the living rooms dance floor with a red solo cup in one hand and your phone in the other.
“y/n!” you hear the call of one of your closest girlfriends.
“Trina!!!” you stumble towards her with a lopsided grin, you reach for her bringing her in for a long hug.
“Woah, someone’s drunk.” She laughs her loud laugh that you love so much. “And damn, the titty shirt is out tonight? Nice.”
“Not drunk” you giggle, and then continue to giggle again for no apparent reason.
“Right…” Trina slaps your back enthusiastically, “Where’s…” she then lowers her voice with a smirk, “lover boy?”
“who? Jungkook?” you ask with the tilt of your head.
Trina’s head pushes back with a confused expression, “What? No! I’m talking about…” she lowers her voice again, “Taehyung!”
OH. Right. You had texted Trina as soon as the whole ordeal with Taehyung unraveled. She knows of your long time crush and totally supports the idea of fake dating because as she puts it:
“Girl! This is your chance! Show him what a great girlfriend you would be, he would totally fall in love with you for real for real.”
And you have to say, you like where her head is at. Complete opposite of what Jungkook is always saying.
“Oh, I don’t know. I haven’t see him around.” You sway side to side, your lit up phone catching your attention.
Jungkook 1:22am
Don’t come home tonight ;)
You can’t help but roll your eyes. How is he so quick?
Y/N 1:23am
Alreadyasydy tslked 2 Jiminie, staying w hum toniteeee.
Jungkook 1:24am
y/n…you’re not too drunk right?
Jungkook 1:27am
y/n????
You are back to shaking your ass with Trina by your side, the bass of the music thumping so loudly you can feel it vibrate your whole body. Body after body pushes into you, causing you to stumble every few seconds. But your grip on your refilled solo cup doesn’t loosen, not as you chug back your drink.
“Gonna grab another!” you slur, nodding your head towards the kitchen. Trina only gives you a thumbs up as she continues to dance with some random girl.
The walk to the kitchen feels like it’s taking forever, the way the walls swirl around you makes you feel sick. You stagger through the kitchens walk way when you feel two arms wrap around your middle.
“My girlfriend!” You hear the slur of words in your right ear, loud and clear.
You turn in the man’s hold with squinted eyes,
“Oh hi Tae.” You giggle, encasing him in a hug. Drunk y/n is way more confident. For some reason seeing him like this you don’t feel as nervous or awkward. Then you feel it. The weird, uncomfortable pang in your chest. Why is that? You look up at Taehyung when the sensation of guilt begins to surface. You remind yourself of the mission you’re on, completely ignoring the inner truth that tries to bubble over and smile at him.
Taehyung looks down at you with a goofy grin, his fingers digging into your waist to keep you steady.
“Oh, you’re drunk drunk.” He teases.
“Am not!” you shake away your confusing thoughts and giggle some more. “wanna take a shot with me?” you excitedly ask him, nodding in the direction of the liquor bottles.
“Hell yeah girl!” he says, taking your hand and leading you towards the counter.
“Y/N are you okay????” Taehyung voice is laced in concern as he holds you. Yes, the Kim Taehyung is holding you. “Shit, I shouldn’t have let you drink this much….” But like in a totally pathetic way.
“You…” you lean back, hitting his chest with your pointer finger, “Don’t tell me how much I can or can’t drink!” your voice buzzes as you fall forward but Taehyung catches you again.
“Right right…” he chuckles but then he looks concerned again. “We need to get you home…let’s call Jungkook.”
“No! we caaaannnnoottt do that…” your words are all jumbled together, Taehyung has a hard time understanding you.
“Where’s your phone?”
“Back pocket.” You wink. Like a fucking sleaze.
Taehyung looks conflicted, but in the end he reaches around for your phone and turns it on.
“Holy shit y/n… you have 8 missed calls from Jungkook. And whole lotta texts.”
Jungkook 1:30am
Are you okay??
Jungkook 1:40am
y/n…Youre a big girl so ill just assume youre okay.
Jungkook 3:02am
Just talked to jimin and you aren’t with him?? where are u??
Jungkook 3:18am
Jungkook 3:23am
Are you still at the party?
Jungkook 3:41am
You aren’t with Trina either? y/n where are you?
Jungkook 4:00am
Don’t make me go back there….pls just answer your phone so I know if youre like, idk fucking alive
Jungkook 4:10am
Fine im going to look for you
“Fuck.” Taehyung hisses under his breath. “I gotta call him…I’m gonna call him okay?”
Your eyes go comically wide at Taehyungs words.
“No!”
“too late” he says, the phone to his hear.
“Hey man, no its me…Taehyung, yeah…yeah….she….” Taehyung eyes you carefully as he speaks on the phone, “She’s fine. She just has had maybe too much to dri—” Taehyung drags a hand down his tired face, “No for fucks sake I didn’t do anything to her. Really dude?”
You lean into Taehyungs space, trying to put your ear to the phone as well and Taehyung can’t help but laugh.
“I read all your texts to be honest…if you have a girl over…what? No, I’m saying y/n can just stay with me…”
Stay with Taehyung? That should make your heart race but—
You think all the alcohol is catching up to you at once and the world becomes even more blurred and a spinning mess. You would give anything to be cuddled up in your blankets with Jungkook taking care of you—wait, no. You don’t need Jungkook to take care of you. You have a perfectly good Taehyung who just offered his place to you.
“I swear man, I’ll take care of h—” Taehyung rolls his eyes, “she might be too drunk to talk….okay, I’ll ask her.” Taehyung lowers the phone and faces you.
“y/n.”
“Hm?” you blink lazily, swaying into Taehyungs chest. Oh no. You feel it, you feel the nausea building up in your tummy, making its way up your chest. On a scale of 1 to 10 how dead would you die if you threw up on Taehyung?
“Do you want Jungkook to come pick you up?”
Jungkook? Like, your Jungkook? Unfortunately for you, your eyes gloss over and probably also unfortunate for Taehyung as well as he looks at you with an alarmed expression . You feel sick. You want to go home. You want to sit on your bathroom floor and throw up in the toilet with Jungkook sitting next to you while he hums a soft tune to soothe you.
“Y-Yes.” You murmur shyly, you begin to sniffle and Taehyung begins to panic.
“Okay man yeah come pick her up.”
“want Jungkook…” you say as a few tears spill over. You are trying your hardest to keep the puke down but its threatening to exit your poor drunk body.
“I think she’s gonna be sick so please hurry…” Taehyung rushes to say over the phone before hanging up.
The next few minutes are a blur, you know Taehyung rushes you to the bathroom. He is overly sweet the whole time you see nothing but blurred, spinning images. He holds your hair back as your body threatens to release tonight’s dinner and says comforting words but nothing makes you feel better. The puke won’t make its guest appearance and your whole world is spinning at a inhumane pace. You’re about to give up on life and fall to the bathroom floor of this gross frat house and try to sleep when you hear him.
“Lemme in dude.” It’s Jungkook. You stir from your sleepy state and turn your head towards the door. He barges in, his eyes landing on you and they soften. He immediately falls to the floor to caress the back of your head and you immediately begin to sob. The tears are out of your control as they slide down your cheeks.
“Don’t...don’t...feel good.” You say between wails, gripping desperately onto his shirt.
“I know baby, I know.” He pulls you into his chest, his hand soothingly running up and down your back. “Has she thrown up yet?” Jungkook looks up at Taehyung with expectant eyes. Taehyung is so caught off guard while watching the two of you.
“uh, no.”
“Okay, can you leave us alone for a while?” Jungkook says somewhat harshly then his features soften as he whispers “She will probably be embarrassed later if you saw…”
“Right.” Taehyung says, his worried expression not going unnoticed by Jungkook. Then Taehyung is on his way out, but he turns one last time to get a look at you.
“feel better y/n” then he is out the door, shutting it behind him.
“Okay y/n…remember what you gotta do?”
“finger?” you slur.
“Yup. Put your finger…yes like that,” he says as you begin to push your finger down your throat to get yourself to throw up.
“I promise you’ll feel better.”
You begin gagging on your finger as you finally throw up in the toilet, Jungkook rubbing your back the entire time giving you words of encouragement.
“Good girl, good girl.” He whispers.
Your face is a fucking mess. Your makeup smeared beyond belief. The black streaks from your tears marking your cheeks in the most horrific way. Jungkook watches you as you cry into his lap on the floor, his heart breaking at the sight. He hated when you drank too much and got like this. He should of never left you alone tonight.
“Jungkook?” you choke out, your tears still spilling from your dark eyes.
“Hm?” he responds, his fingers brushing back your hair.
“Did I ruin your night? Or did you still get some?” you chuckle pathetically.
“Don’t worry about that.” He brushes more hair out of your face, he lifts your head up and places it on a towel. He stands to his feet at the sink, reaching for a towelette and running it under warm water.
“Gonna clean your face okay?” he warns softly.
“kay…” you close your eyes when you feel the wet warmth of the towelette on your cheek. Jungkook is careful to clean you delicately, wiping away the makeup and leaving you spotless.
He’s back under you, your head in his lap and his hands back in your hair.
“you told me you were going to be with Jimin tonight yet you were with Taehyung…”
“It just happened like that” you whisper, sleep beginning to take over.
“I was…really worried about you when I didn’t hear from you, stupid.”
You smile at his words, his touch making you melt.
“Ya know, you’re not the only one allowed to get some Jungkook. I can be like you and have sex too if I want.”
“What are you talking about?” his hand stops in your hair.
“Would if I was getting some? That’s why I didn’t answer?”
“Were you?” his voice is low.
“Well, no—”
“Okay good.”
“Why is that good? Hm?” you open your eyes just a little bit, taking in the hazy world. “Wish it was you I was getting it on with?” you say quietly.
“You’re drunk.”
“I wanna go home.”
“take a nap first, okay?” his fingers begin playing in your hair again, “I’ll wake you up in 30 minutes.”
Your eyes are already closed when he says this, sleep already welcoming you in its warm embrace. “Kay” you murmur.
Jungkook plays with your hair as you snooze in his lap, he watches the rise and fall of your chest and wonders what it would be like to lay his head on it and sleep too.
Bbrrrr bbbrrrrr bbrrrr brrrrrr
A phone call. The most horrifying buzzing occurs next to your face as you sleep peacefully in your bed. Wait, how did you get home last night? You remember drinking and dancing the night away, you remember hanging out with Taehyung…oh no, you remember Jungkook coming to the rescue. Oh no...
You try to open your eyes, but the light from the sun is too damn blinding. You squint at what is in view. Right in front of you, you see black locks of hair poking out of the blanket, a dark blue blanket. You recognize this blanket. Jungkook’s blanket. You are in Jungkook’s bed. With Jungkook. This isn’t so surprising, you imagine you had refused to sleep in your own bed last night—
Bbbrrrr bbbrrrr brrrr brrrrr
Right. Your phone.
You fumble the phone trying to pick it up and answer it when Jungkook groans next to you,
“Hurry up and answer it” he says, sliding deeper under the covers.
“Hello?” you croak out, your voice hoarse and honestly? Disgusting.
“Hey y/n!” This voice is way too damn chipper for whatever ungodly hour it is.
“Tae?”
“Good afternoon sleepy head! Did I wake you?” Afternoon? What time is it? You pull the phone away from your face to check the time.
2:06pm
Holy shit, you’ve slept the day away.
“No no,” you lie, “Just in bed…” you say sitting up from where you lay.
“Great! Do you think maybe I could…come over? We can discuss the whole fake dating thing.” He chuckles into the phone. COME OVER? Immediately you begin smoothing down your hair with your free hand and start to peel back the covers to get out of bed.
“Umm, when?” you glance over at sleeping Jungkook, his face mostly hidden behind the blanket.
“Maybe around 6? I could cook you dinner? I know you had a rough night…”
Fucking great. You don’t want to think of last night, you will die of fucking embarrassment.
“yeah…listen, you don’t have to do all that—”
“I want to!” Taehyung is quick to cut you off, “As your boyfriend—fake boyfriend it is my duty to take care of you!” you feel like you can see the boxy smile on his face. It makes you motherfucking swoon.
“Okay then, 6.” You smile into the phone. “Bye tae.”
You bring the phone down into your lap, clicking the end button. Dinner with Taehyung? Like a date? You can’t help but feel internally giddy at the thought. You squeal for a second before Jungkook speaks up.
“What’s at 6?” he peeks from under the covers, his voice husky and groggy.
“Oh… nothing” you sing, a bright smile on your face.
“Something with Tae?” he begins to sit himself up as well.
“We’re just going to have dinner and talk about the whole fake dating thing.” You beam.
“You’re still doing that shit?”
Automatically you go from super excited to annoyed. Only Jungkook can do that to you.
“It’s harmless, Jungkook. Plus…”
“plus what?” he raises a single brow.
“Trina says this is a good opportunity…”
“y/n I have told you not to get too involved with this guy, but you don’t listen to me.” Jungkook crosses his arms over his chest, then bows his head down in defeat.
“But whatever, learn your fucking lessons by yourself.”
You can’t help but feel like Jungkook is once again looking down at you, like you aren’t good enough for Taehyung. Your breaths become unsteady as you just stare at your best friend like he isn’t constantly hurting your feelings on the matter.
“I—I will be fine. I want him, Jungkook. And this is—this is a good opportunity to show him I can be a good enough girlfriend ya know—”
“Just stop.” Jungkook cuts you off in a harsh tone. “I never said you weren’t good enough? You’re just not what he wants.” Jungkook can see how his words break you further. “Fuck. Forget I said that, y/n…”
“Why can’t he want me?”
Jungkook hates just how quietly you ask that…he hates how defeated you sound, how defeated you look…your head hanging low with no attempt to even look at him.
“He’s just…”
“No, it’s fine. Don’t answer that” You stand from the bed and begin walking towards his door. You look down to see you’re wearing nothing but Jungkook’s t shirt and some panties, you groan at your own shamelessness when you hear the rushed ruffling of the comforter behind you and the plop of feet landing on the ground. Jungkook stands behind you, his fingers wrapped around your wrist.
“Just move on y/n…”
I’m fucking trying to, is what you want to say but instead you opt for a harsh ‘leave me alone’ as you exit his room.
You spend the next couple of hours pampering yourself, you had a rough night and you totally deserve a piece of cake, this bubble bath and face mask. You want to feel relaxed but you can’t get the image of Jungkook out of your head. You hate it when the two of you fight. You mean, to others this would hardly come off as a ‘fight’ but you and Jungkook never really have negative energy. So, yes. It’s a fight. He’s the last person in the world you want to fight with. Yet here you are.
But then the image of Taehyung cooking you dinner enters your mind and somehow you feel a little more at ease. Was this a date? You giggle to yourself, blowing bubbles that reaches your lips as you sink deeper into the tub. You have an hour before Taehyung was to arrive at your apartment…your shared apartment. God, you hope Jungkook takes a hint and goes and hangs out with Jimin or something.
You finally rise from the tub and dry off your now freshly cleansed body. The scent of lavender fills the air and you feel satisfied with how your bath turned out.
You read the clock…5:30pm and you know it’s time to get dressed.
You settle for some high waisted shorts and a white tank top with a purple bralette where the straps are generously shown. Looking into the mirror, you decide to do light makeup and tinted lip balm. You don’t want to try too hard for the boy you’re trying to woo.
And bam. 6pm right on the dot you hear the door being lightly knocked. You begin walking towards the front door but stop to see if Jungkook is in his room or not. He’s not. Relief washes over you as you continue to walk towards the front door. But where did he go? You’re relieved he isn’t home but feel anxious that you don’t know where he could have gone. Maybe to Jimin’s? Maybe to some random girls? Somehow this makes you feel more anxious. You shake away those thoughts and swing the front door open.
“Hey there.” Taehyungs boxy grin is enough to get you pregnant. Like, god damn. He looks amazing. He’s got dress pants and some floral shirt and his hair looks slightly wet. That’s not the only thing slightly wet. You internally cringe at your thought.
“Hey Tae, come on in.” you open the door wider to let the boy through. He walks past you and makes himself comfortable in the kitchen, setting down a bag of what you assume is probably groceries.
“You like spaghetti?” he asks excitedly, almost like a child.
“Who doesn’t?” you smirk walking his way and sitting down at the breakfast table. “Need any help?” you offer.
“Not at all.” Taehyung begins unpacking his things and gets to work in the kitchen. You watch in awe, your head nuzzled in your hands as he does his thing.
“Dinner was amazing Tae.” You go to compliment the chef. It really was. The noodles were long and soft and the sauce was very flavorful. Did you really just compliment the length and softness of fucking noodles? Wow, you are whipped. You almost wish Taehyung was your roommate and not useless in the kitchen Jungkook. Oh. Jungkook. The thought of him enters your mind and it has you hurting. You may be having a blast with your crush but you and your best friend are still in the middle of a fight. About said crush. But this really is your chance. You can get Taehyung to like you, maybe even fall for you. And you need this. You need this. So you can’t give up, no matter what Jungkook says.
“Not as amazing as you” Taehyung winks but then his face drops, “Sorry that was cheesy, wasn’t it?” he drags a hand down his handsome face. “I suck at flirting.”
You look up at him, completely intrigued.
“You’re trying to flirt with me?” you can’t help but to smile slyly.
“Of course I am!” Taehyung laughs loudly then reaches for his backpack in the chair next to his and pulls out a notebook.
“So I wrote some ideas for this whole fake dating thing.” He becomes just a tad more serious as a nervous grin lights up his face.
“Oh really? Should I have a look?” you say reaching for the notebook with grabby hands, “Gimme!”
Taehyung chuckles while pulling the notebook to his chest, “No! Miss Greedy.” He teases. “How about I just read them and we can discuss?”
“fine.” You pout, “Whatever you say.”
“Whatever I say? I like the sound of that.” He smirks then his eyes fall to the paper in front of him. “First, we should go on dates…like all the time. The more time we spend together the more believable it’ll be. Ya know?”
“Okay, makes sense. Makes sense.”
“Second, we should attend all parties together and leave together too.” Then his eyes go wide, “I just mean—like don’t worry, I’ll make sure I get you home.”
You can’t help but giggle, nodding your head to his words.
“Third, we should post each other on social media! For example, I can take a picture of tonight’s date and post it on the gram.”
“Tonight was a date?” you ask, a delighted smile making its way on your face.
“Well, yeah…” he answers shyly.
“anything else?” you question, leaning your head in your hands as you look into his big brown eyes.
“Well….. there is one more thing I wrote down….” He answers awkwardly. His eyes sliding to the side to avert your gaze.
“oh? What is it?” you try to take a peek at the paper, curiosity getting the best of you—as usual.
“I’ll just let you read it…” he then pushes the notebook on the table in your direction, you excitedly pick it up and skim the paper. You look at all the things he wrote down, smiling because he even added his own tips.
Buy her flowers.
Movie dates?
Netflix and chill
Cook her dinner
How cute. He even added little doodles. Your eyes continue to skim the page as your smile grows at how much thought he has put into this. Your heart is beating out of your chest…you know this is all fake and for show but you cannot help how happy its making you feel. You continue to smile and hum as your eyes skim lower and lower until you see the last thing on his list.
No Jungkook.
Huh? Your smile begins to falter. No Jungkook? What does that even mean? You look up to meet Taehyungs eyes. He’s already anxiously staring at you.
“I don’t understand?” you breathe out, “What does that mean?”
“No Jungkook.” He half whispers.
“You—you realize he is my best friend? Why no Jungkook?” you pinch your brows together in confusion.
“It’s just…” Taehyung begins to explain himself, “You two are awfully close. And people already get the wrong idea about you two. Like, all the fucking time. Even I think sometimes…that’s not important. It just means for one month, you’re mine. And I don’t want people to get the wrong idea if you’re always with Jungkook.” He pulls at the hair at his neck. “Is this making sense?” Taehyung looks flustered trying to get out all of his words.
“It would make me look pathetic don’t you think? That my supposed girlfriend is always with some other guy? I mean, y/n it’s just for one month…”
One month without Jungkook? Would you really choose a boy over your best friend? Even if only for a month?
“Tae… I don’t know.” You look down at your hands as your breathing begins to pick up.
“I can’t just abandon my best friend for an entire month…”
“I mean, you guys live together so it’s not like you won’t be seeing him. Just in public…ya know?”
Taehyung has a point, you try to reason. If you have a boyfriend it’s only natural to spend most of your time with them. But it still felt wrong. But… a part of you feels like this is a good idea, actually. You’ve always been meaning to put at least some distance between you and Jungkook, ya know, for your own sake. But this feels wrong. You’re about to decline his request when you hear the front door open and Jungkook’s shuffles in. He has his airpods in and doesn’t even spare you a glance. He walks straight to his bedroom and slams the door shut.
You feel embarrassed in front of your guest that your roommate and also yeah, your best fucking friend didn’t even acknowledge you.
“Uh, he’s in a mood” you try covering for Jungkook. Then you feel the buzz of your phone and you go to check it
Jungkook 8:02pm
Watching you fawn over him is just pathetic, but like, good luck.
All you see is red. Jungkook once again shitting on your love life and raining on your god damn parade. You know what? This is your chance with Taehyung and you aren’t going to let your bratty best friend ruin that for you.
“You know what, Tae?” you say setting your phone on the table.
“Yeah?”
“You’re right. I agree with your list.”
“Wait—you do? Even the Jung—”
“Yup.”
Taehyung tilts his head to the side as a wide grin makes its way across his face, “should we shake on it?” he asks with his hand pushed out in front of you.
You take his hand in yours, squeezing tightly before you pull him in and seal the deal with a quick kiss. Taehyung’s shocked expression makes you giggle, “Thought that would make it more official”
“I like having you as a girlfriend already.”
One month without Jungkook? Bring it on.
Part 2
A God Worthy Soulmate
@queenieala
Someone starts shaking me awake where I jolted up flashing my hybrid face at whoever it was only to be greeted by my favorite blonde witch. "Lizzie, you're back. I can't believe it!" I cheered throwing my arms around her in a hug.
"I'm sorry, Clari. I just got so emotional over what Hope did to my father. But she's alive...even though she killed me." She replied flipping hair out of her eyes.
Knitting my brows together I gasped in confusion. "Killed you. Lizzie are you saying?" She revealed her fangs creating the veins underneath her eyes. "Wicked. You're a hybrid like me now."
"Technically I'm a heretic." She chuckled pulling me in for another hug. Lizzie and I quickly became friends quickly when I joined her father's school. I have been in and out of foster systems since my parents just left me so I keep my heart closed. The witch siphon broke in a little because she fights herself everyday. Where we question why we weren't someone's first choice.
Climbing out of my bed I pull on a green sweatshirt and leggings with some short brown boots. Lizzie and I looped arms heading down stairs where I gasped seeing everyone gathered downstairs in front of a banner that said happy birthday. Today I turned eighteenth. Covering my mouth with my hands I gasped turning to my best friend. "Lizzie, are you serious. You didn't have to do this."
She squeezed my hand in hers shaking her head with a smile. "Yes I did. You deserve it."
"Well birthday girl. You got lucky there's no full moon tonight so the wolves can party outside in the woods with us." Hope walked up handing me a cupcake with a candle on top.
Closing my eyes I blew out the candle about to take a bite when the front door bell rang. Handing my cupcake to Lizzie I opened the door seeing the mail guy standing on the doorstep holding a small box in his arms. "Does Clarisse Montana live here?"
"I'm her, why?" I questioned since we didn't really get visitors at the school unless it was the sheriff.
The man hands me the box explaining. "This package suddenly out of nowhere just appeared in the back of my truck."
"What's inside it?" I asked turning the box in my hands since it was a very small form.
He shrugged his shoulders waving bye without another word driving off in his truck. "Don't know. Just thought I should bring it to you. Have a good day."
Closing the door with my foot Hope and Lizzie came over taking notice of the box where I started tearing off the tape not remembering that I ever purchased anything. "That was weird. We Don get visitors from town too much. Are you sure it's not a trap?" Hope leaned into me having her guard up creating a fire ball in her hands just in case.
"I'm just certain it's my birthday, Hope. That's it." I replied slowly lifting the lid off the tiny box.
Lizzie leaned her head trying to get a better view. "Is that a necklace?"
Picking it up in my hands I released a breath admiring that it was the most beautiful yet simplest thing I have ever seen. It's a necklace with a gold chain. It is in the shape of a heart that is colored red. "It's gorgeous...I'm keeping it."
"What if it's dangerous, Clarisse?" Hope spat not liking the idea.
"Let her live a little. It's a pretty gift. Who it came from doesn't matter at the moment. Let's celebrate." Lizzie glared lightly at the tribrid seeing a smile grace my face for the first time in a long while.
By the time I got up to my bedroom I was exhausted from the night of partying. Changing into a tank top and shorts I got into the bed not bothering to take the mystery delivery of the necklace off. Laying my head on the pillow I played with it in my hands grinning softly. Growing up I never imagined having something this special. I am grateful for the night that Lizzie's mom found me outside another foster family since I had accidentally killed someone at school. I just got angry when a boy tried to take from my lunch. The Salvatore School is the first place I have felt safe in. "Did you enjoy the present you got?"
Whipping my head around I jolted up in the bed seeing nobody is in the room. But I know I heard a man's voice talk to me. "What the hell. Who's there?"
Something flashed in front of my eyes where I scooted against the headboard hearing the foosteps stop. My eyes trailed up a guy's body seeing he has dirty blonde hair and green eyes. He slowly sits down at the end of the bed flashing me a smile. "Hello, darling. My name is Ken."
"Clarisse Montana...who the hell are you?" I trailed off pulling the covers closely to my chest not trusting that he isn't a serial killer or something.
Ken replied where his eyes flashed gold for a second. "I am a God."
Comments really appreciated ❤️
Here's the start. Send me anything on Ken personally I don't want to get it wrong.
The Sister’s Return
Summary: (Y/N) has reunited with her family with Dream’s looming threat...
Pairings: SBI x Sister! Reader
Warnings: Minor Fight scene, mentions of blood, mentions of past manipulation and present manipulation
A/N: This is a part two to The Sister’s Happiness
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        (Y/N) hesitated outside the tundra home as Techno went up to the house first.
        “You promise he’s not mad?” (Y/N) whispered to Tommy.
        “He…was mad for a while,” Tommy admitted. “We all were. It took us all a little while after…what he did to me to forgive you.”
        A crow swooped into the window as Techno looked at the younger pair as Ghostbur hummed floating into the house.
        “Phil! We found little note!” Ghostbur announced, making (Y/N) wince hearing her brother’s old nickname for her.
        “Play the song again please Wilbur?” The twelve-year-old girl begged as Wilbur looked down at his guitar.
        “Mmh, only if you sing it with me. My throat’s getting tired.”
        It was a lie. He just liked singing with his less annoying youngest sibling.
        “Ok.”
        “Here we go little note.” He smiled, giving a small strum to his guitar.
        “Even if he was mad, you can’t hide now.” Tommy huffed, following after.
        (Y/N) looked down at Fran, who had followed them all the way, before walking up to the house with shaky legs. Before she even got to the door, Phil came out, a soft smile on his face.
        “You’re ok.” Phil laughed quietly before coming over and taking her shoulders gently as she froze. “I’m so sorry angel. I-I should have been there and I’m sorry.”
        “Daddy’s girl.” Tommy mocked from the top of the stairs.
        He really hadn’t changed after everything.
        “It’s ok Phil, I should be saying sorry, I—”
        “No, it’s alright. Let’s get you inside.” Phil told her, looking around the area before putting a hand on her shoulder.
        He led her in now, Fran trotting in behind them. Once the door closed, (Y/N) had a feeling she hadn’t felt since she had been with…Dream. She…felt at home…
        Ghostbur floated as he hummed, taking some potions off a brewing stand as Techno rested his axe on the wall next to the door as he went to stop Tommy, who was already digging through his chests. Phil went to help with potion brewing as (Y/N) stood there.
        She felt like a stranger though.
        “Just because I’m letting you back in my house, does not mean you can dig through my things.” Techno scolded Tommy as he pulled him away.
        “Come on blade. If I’m going to help, I need some gear.”
        “You have your own gear and Dream’s gear!”
        “Technically Tubbo has half his gear!” Tommy pointed at him.
        “Come on Techno, don’t you want to help your favorite siblings?” (Y/N) grinned motioning to a sixteen-year-old Tommy, who put an arm around her.
        “Yeah, big man! Just a few things for the poor?” Tommy motioned to a fifteen-year-old (Y/N).
        Techno rolled his eyes at his siblings' shared mischievous grins. He knew he should have hung out with (Y/N) more, Tommy had been too much of an influence on her.
        “You think there will be a fight?” (Y/N) asked, everyone, looking at her.
        “Yes.” Phil nodded. “I got a message that…he wasn’t very happy you were moving on without him around.”
        “You can say his name. It doesn’t affect me as much anymore.” (Y/N) told him quietly.
        “Good because Dream is a bastard and we’re going to beat him again.” Tommy cheered. “The Sleepy Bois and their little sister are back!”
        (Y/N) smiled lightly and Tommy froze slightly, surprised by the smile. “Yeah, we are back.”
        Tommy stood there before grinning as he came over, throwing an arm around her shoulders.
        “Yeah! Look out bitches!”
        “Fucking pricks.” (Y/N) followed suit.
        “We’ll show them who’s the best!”
        “And have whatever we want!”
        (Y/N) actually gave a laugh after they recited the bit they always use to do. Tommy was grinning widely. He had missed his sister.
        “Fuck yeah!” He punched the air.
        “Alright you little bastards, get your gear somewhere you can get to it quickly,” Techno told them.
        “I got an ender chest in my old room, come on.” Tommy let go of (Y/N) before sliding down the ladder.
        She followed after him, Fran making home next to the fireplace.
        “We’re not going to actually make (Y/N) fight with us, are we?” Phil asked, not wanting his youngest to be around the masked man again.
        “No. Ghostbur,” Techno said, the ghost zoning back into the conversation.
        “Yes, Technoblade?” Ghostbur smiled.
        “Why don’t you tell (Y/N) what you remember? She hasn’t seen you in a while.”
        “Oh yes! That’s a very good idea Technoblade!” He nodded before following after the younger pair.
        “You got crows scouting?” Techno asked.
        “I’m not idiot Techno.” Phil gave a joking scoff. “I’ve been doing this longer than you.”
        “Good. Then let’s get ready.”
        (Y/N) raised an eyebrow around the odd room as Tommy went to the ender chest, pulling out a few pieces of gear.
        “So, this is where you went when you went missing.” (Y/N) muttered.
        Tommy paused, gripping the edge of the chest lightly. “Please don’t talk about that.”
        “Oh shit.” She put her hands over her mouth. “I’m sorry Tommy. I—Shit.”
        “It’s fine, you didn’t do anything during that time it was all Dream,” Tommy said, putting his armor and weapons on his bed. “We just need to be able to read each other again too I suppose.”
        “Well…after everything you still seem like you so I don’t think that will be too hard.” (Y/N) tried to lighten the tone.
        “I’ve changed a lot! I’m a bigger man.” Tommy crossed his arms at his sister.
        “Sure.” She teased.
        “Alright, listen here you prick.” Tommy started until Ghostbur floated down.
        “(Y/N)! We haven’t talked in so long, we should talk.” Ghostbur said to her excitedly.
        “I uh. Sure. If you want to Ghostbur, I just…” She looked at Tommy’s gear. “We got a thing to possibly do.”
        “Well, if it’s only possible we have some time.” Ghostbur grinned as he took her hand, making her shiver at the cold contact.
        “Oi. Ghostbur, let her get her things first.” Tommy told off the ghost.
        “Oh, ok. Get your things.”
        (Y/N) went into the ender chest, taking out her armor, bow, and sword.
        “Is that your old bow?” Tommy looked at it surprised.
        “Yeah…I put a mending enchant on it before we got your discs back.” (Y/N) grinned. “So, it’s still in action.”
        “…I think it will be perfect for fighting Dream with again.”
        She paused before nodding; the grin still wide on her face. “I think so too. We’ll fuck up his shit again.”
        Tommy nodded, deep in thought for a minute.
        “Hey, Ghostbur, wait up there for her, she’ll be there in a minute,” Tommy told the ghost.
        “Ok!”
        He floated up the ladder again and Tommy shifted awkwardly for a moment.
        “Did you…did you like doing all that stuff with him?”
        (Y/N) gripped onto the bow, taking a shaky breath.
        “I thought I did. I told myself I did…but every time I saw your face…I hated it. But he told me…he told me it was for the better and I believed him.”
        “We’re what’s best for you because you’re our family, and don’t forget it, alright prick?” Tommy crossed his arms, looking away.
        “Thanks, Tommy.” She smiled lightly. “I won’t.”
        She went to leave but he stopped her again.
        “Hey, if you…want to talk about it too, I get it,” Tommy said quietly.
        “I’ll keep that in mind.” She nodded.
        Then she finally went up the ladder, Tommy passing through the room quickly to go to the main room, and Ghostbur held out a piece of blue to her the second she got up.
        “Oh, uh, thank you.” She took it.
        “There’s so much to talk about! Techno said we should talk about what I remember. I remember a few things about you!” He grinned, clapping his hands together. “You use to sing music for me and I wouldn’t make fun of you for being a child because you could be really mature.”
        “Oh…you don’t remember a lot of things?” She asked, sitting.
        “No, but that’s ok. I remember a lot of happy things!”
        “So…you don’t remember Dream and me?”
        “Mmh, I remember thinking about how nice it was to see you next to Dream when we were making L’Manberg, even though I thought about how unhappy you looked.”
        (Y/N) stared at the wall as she stood to the back of the group. Wilbur was at the top, looking down at her in shock and she looked away.
        “I would like to know though Dream, how you managed to get my little sister on your side.”
        “She saw past your stupidity.” Dream answered simply.
        He’ll just use you for power.
        Dream’s voice echoed in her head, making her jaw clench.
        “Alivebur didn’t think you and Dream were very good friends. He often scolded Tommy if he brought it up.” Ghostbur hummed, before whispering to her. “Dream is a bit of a bad guy.”
        “Yeah…yeah, he is Ghostbur. That’s why me and him aren’t friends.”
        “Oh, that’s a shame, but now you can hang out with us again!”
        (Y/N) thought about the times she had caught Wilbur’s glare across a battlefield or simply across the open area. She had thought he hated him but had he suspected something was wrong?
        …
        “She’s a bitch now! Fuck her!” Tommy shouted at Wilbur.
        “Don’t say that about her Tommy.” Wilbur snapped. “She…looks so unhappy. Dream holds too much power, we can’t get to her easy, we need to figure something out to get to her.”
        …
        “What the hell did you guys let happen to (Y/N)?” Techno motioned to above the ravine where Pogtopia was stationed.
        They had just run and his own little sister had just tried to hunt them down with the rest of the mob of Manberg citizens. Her downfall though was Techno had taught her himself. Yet, there was just such a cold look in her eyes…
        “She did it to herself.” Tommy scoffed.
        “I don’t know, I haven’t been able to talk to her in a few years. I can’t get her alone no matter what I tried, that’s not the problem right now.” Wilbur paced.
        Techno thought it was a huge fucking problem though and decided he needed to figure out what was going on, on his own.
        …
        Techno heard the crow before it flew through the window. It gave a flap of its wings to Phil and Phil nodded, looking outside.
        “He’s close by.”
        The pair had managed to get (Y/N) alone and they had seen through the façade when they talked to her and tried to subtly get it out of her. They thought they could get another chance when she left but then Butcher Gang came and Dream visited Techno’s home.
        Sure, they had been mad about her betraying their trust by telling people where Techno’s home was but when Tommy came to them, they weren’t mad for long. They were the first to understand what must have happened to her as well.
        Phil put on his last bit of armor as Tommy came up to them, paling slightly.
        “He’s here already?”
        “He’s close.” Techno nodded. “Get ready, we’re not taking (Y/N).”
        Tommy hesitated but nodded. He didn’t want Dream near his sister again. As the young boy put all his gear on, Techno picked up his axe with his crossbow on his back and Phil grabbed his own bow. He managed his gear on when Techno saw Dream walking through the snow.
        “Let’s go.” Techno nodded.
        The three went out, weapons at the ready and Dream grinned behind his mask.
        “Sorry Dream. I don’t do charity cases for the homeless, gonna need you to leave.” Techno told him, shouldering his axe.
        “Are we really going to go through this again Techno? Are you going to talk to your voices again too?” Dream laughed. “I know you have what I want. So, either, send her out now, or I’ll kill all of you.”
        “You can try, you green bastard, but I finished you once! I’ll do it again!” Tommy shouted.
        “But here I am Tommy! You can’t stop me. I got out of prison and now here I am. Back again!” Dream took a step forward and Phil aimed his bow. “You won’t, no, you can’t kill me, Tommy. Come on, we were friends, weren’t we?”
        Techno put the axe in front of his brother as Phil shot the arrow in front of Dream when Tommy’s breathing picked up slightly.
        “You’re not getting anyone today,” Phil told him. “So, we’re going to give you one chance to say you failed and leave.”
        Dream merely smirked behind his mask before going straight for Techno. With ease, Techno blocked the sword with his arm, the sword sparking on his armor before Techno swung his axe right for Dream’s side and the masked man jumped back.
        “A fight it is then.” Techno grinned, the voices going into a chant.
        Tommy pulled his sword and Phil switched for his sword as well. The fight was on.
        …
        “What else do you remember?” (Y/N) asked the ghost. “About…me.”
        “You were an awful lot like Tommy but you could calm down and be little note with me.” Ghostbur smiled. “It was always nice seeing you and Tommy play together though. And when you two become friends with Tubbo, it was meant to be really. It always made Alivebur smile and it makes me smile too!”
        “It seems a lot of things make you smile though Ghostbur.” She laughed quietly.
        “But there’s so many wonderful things we get to do and see!”
        (Y/N) smiled lightly. Ghostbur seemed to be all the good things about Wilbur…but she missed the bad stuff of her brother…
        Both the ghost and she jumped though when they heard the sound of fireworks.
        “That doesn’t sound good,” Ghostbur muttered, taking out a piece of blue.
        (Y/N) leapt up, as she now could hear the cawing of the crows and metal on metal. Dream was here!
        “Shit, shit, shit.” She panicked, throwing her armor on.
        “(Y/N),” Ghostbur mumbled.
        She looked at the ghost of her brother as she put her helmet on. A panic was in her eyes but there was the spark of a fire that brought good memories to Ghostbur. Memories of when she’d practice sword fighting and archery with Technoblade or when she’d scream at Tommy’s bullies or when she was taking lessons with Alivebur to learn guitar. He smiled lightly as he saw the real (Y/N) that had been missing.
        “I love you.”
        “…I love you too Ghostbur.” She gave a light smile before grabbing her one arrow, sword strapped to her side.
        She got outside to see Techno loading his crossbow with another firework as Tommy was dodging a sword swing from Dream who had a cracked mask with slightly singed clothing while Phil was dashing to go in for a low blow. Everyone had minor wounds as armors had dents and scratches. (Y/N) felt her breath catch in her throat as she gripped onto her bow before raising it.
        “I never throw away my shot.” She muttered before letting the arrow fly.
        It caught Dream’s mask and it flew off his mask. (Y/N)’s arrow reappeared on the bow as she pulled back, her infinity enchantment doing its work to bring her arrow back as though it was never gone even though it pinned Dream’s mask to the ground.
        “STOP!” She commanded.
        “(Y/N)!” Dream grinned ducking from Tommy’s sword swing before knocking the boy down, winding him as he parried Phil’s attack, pushing the older man back. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere! Where have you been my friend?”
        “Drop your sword!” She demanded.
        “(Y/N), come on. It’s me, Dream.” He smiled.
        She clenched her jaw as Techno looked between the pair as the other two of her family stayed where they were. Then she changed the direction of her bow and it snagged his pant leg, pinning the fabric to the ground as another arrow appeared in her bow.
        “Leave my family alone.” She told him.
        “Your family?” Dream laughed. “They haven’t tried to talk to you in almost three years! Now, they thought they had power over the two of us because I was locked away; they tried to use you! I broke out to save you.”
        His voice was creeping back into the back of her mind as she gripped onto her bow.
        “YOU BASTARD!” Tommy’s voice broke through the voice of Dream.
        Dream hissed as Tommy snagged a weak point in his armor, drawing blood.
        “How dare you say I’d use my sister!” He shouted, pushing the man back, jumping back as Techno quickly aimed his crossbow.
        Dream dove out of the way as the firework went off where he had been.
        “I won’t let you use my sister like a puppet.” Techno put his crossbow away to replace it with his axe.
        An arrow landed in front of Dream’s face and (Y/N) pointed her bow to the ground.
        “I never miss, so take the friendly warning. Leave and never speak to me again. Leave this land.”
        “You…you can’t…” Dream gave a laugh.
        “She can do whatever she wants mate,” Phil said, all three of them standing in front of (Y/N). “And you’ll have to go through us to even think about her. I suggest you leave.”
        “You’ll regret this.” Dream spat at them before getting up and ender pearling away.
        A weight was gone as (Y/N) teared up when the three looked over at her.
        “Oh dear, you need some blue.” Ghostbur came out now and gave the girl a piece of blue.
        “Thank you.” She sniffled wiping away her tears.
        Tommy came over putting an arm around one side of her shoulders as Techno went on the other side as Phil put a hand on her head.
        “We won!” Tommy cheered.
        She had missed her family…

"it's my responsibility."
anime: tokyo revengers
character: sano 'mikey' manjiro, mitsuya takashi
summary: mitsuya knew something would go wrong when mikey showed up after all these years, and he knew y/n would have to deal with it the way she learnt to deal with everything.
a/n: afab! reader, she/her pronouns used, third person pov, spoilers for ep 18 onwards and manga, masterlist for series here
taglist: @chaoticyuna @erishaitto @kenmas-xbox
Mitsuya slept in the room that he and his sisters shared when sleeping over in the Sano Residence. Well, Sano-and-Hanemiya Residence now. While technically Y/N wasn't an actually a written down as someone living in that area, Emma treated it as if it were her place as well. They did the groceries together, cooked and did laundry for each other and such. Practically sisters at this point.
Dinner that night was definitely not how they wanted to finish the day off.
Y/N walked down the stairs with Mitsuya behind her, his sisters not too far behind. Mikey was the first to look up from the awkward spot on the couch, in between Emma and Draken. He saw that Mitsuya was also in a new outfit.
He watched as she tugged her dark larger sized jumper over her new white tank top. The straps were visible in the collar space of the hoodie. When she locked eyes with Mikey, the two stopped. An awkward silence drew between them at that moment.
I miss you, I miss you, I miss you, I miss you, I miss the old you, I miss who you were, I miss the old you, I miss us—
Emma, who was hugging her older brother's arm tightly, switched her gaze between the two. "Oh, you two are matching!" She giggled out, pointing at Y/N as she glanced at Mikey. His thoughts were interrupted.
Y/N grunts out, accidentally knocking shoulders with Mitsuya on her way back up the stairs, "Give me five minutes. I'm gonna' change."
Mitsuya watched her leave before smiling at his sisters. "You two hungry?" He asks, happier when his sisters eagerly nod their heads and head to the kitchen to grab the food reserved for them, "Okay, then go ahead. Y/N picked up your favourite on the way home."
He quickly settles his sisters in before entering the living room with the rest of the bento boxes. He hands each box to the three. "Does anyone want soda?" He asks, getting a nod from everyone.
Y/N comes downstairs, now in sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. Mitsuya looks over to her and hands Y/N her food, sitting down next to her spot.
Emma can sense the tension in the room as Y/N eats as if nothing happened outside. Mitsuya and Draken are exchanging glances, almost like speaking in silence. Emma, now seventeen-years old since her birthday was a few months ago, furrows her brows and sits up straight, setting her food on the table.
"So! How was the meeting, Y/N?" She asks, looking to speak to the person who seemed to be the quietest and less interactive, "After yesterday, you were pretty stressed when you guys came home."
Y/N glances up to the girl, noticing the hopeful and pleading look she gave her. She sighs out, picking up her soda from the coffee table, "It went fine. Kinda' last minute. I had to get Draken to round up my men before going to get my bike." She sips her drink. "Picked out the traitor from yesterday's ambush. He's taken care of."
Mikey kept quiet at that. An ambush from yesterday? Maybe he decided to come back a day too late. He could've helped. And now, his love was wounded.
Emma pouts at Y/N's answer. "That's it? You should've beat his ass yourself!" She claims, throwing a fist in the air with an angry face, "You nearly bled out in the bathroom!"
Draken chuckles out, leaning back in his spot, "Don't worry, Emma, Y/N got the first hit. Broke his nose."
Emma clapped her hands at the statement. "Oh, that's great!" She gasps out, leaning towards Y/N, "So what's going on tomorrow? Are you gonna' do something?"
"Meeting with the leader. I had one of my captains warn the traitor to go back and mention a place and time." She informed Emma, leaning her chin in her hand, "Did you want to come?"
"Yes, please!" Emma's eyes glow with happiness. She always felt left out when it came to the people she hung out with. All of them were apart of the Toman.
"What?" Mikey suddenly speaks up, turning to Y/N.
She raises a brow at his tone.
"Why would you bring Emma to a gang meeting?" He questions, shoulders tense.
Y/N retorts, tilting her head as she looks down at her food, "Because Draken is gonna' be there to watch over her, and because Emma hasn't spent time with us for the past few weeks, this meeting is only going to be for a 30 minutes, tops." She pushes the food around her box. "We just finished exams this week. And I take care of the people I love."
He feels that strike his heart. Mikey squints at her. "If Draken is watching Emma, then who's watching you?" He questions in a low tone, "You said it yourself that you aren't that strong yet."
Y/N knows what he's doing. Mikey wants to tag along. But she doesn't want to give him a reason to.
"Takashi, aren't you going to be there?" She asks, looking over to him. Mitsuya nods his head, drinking from his can. "Then it's settled."
Mikey looks over to Draken, hoping he would be against it. But Draken only nods at Y/N and continues to eat. It seems like he's changed, no longer wanting Emma to be away from everything dangerous. He wanted her to experience what she wanted, being there beside her the whole time.
Smart. That's healthy for them.
Emma then turned the conversation to Mikey, asking him what he's been up to. She didn't like dwelling on the past or holding grudges, so she acted as if he came back from a long vacation. Mikey explains that when he left town, he had joined a small gang that took care of him. He used a fake name and let his natural hair show. He adopted a new hairstyle and fashion sense. But that wasn't enough to get Y/N confused.
Mitsuya watched as Y/N kept her reactions to a minimum. She didn't want to acknowledge him being here. She was only sitting in the same room as Mikey because she had to. For Emma and Draken, most likely or at least that what he thought.
He didn't mention it though. Y/N continued to eat silently unless Draken and Emma talked to her.
"Where are you staying?" Draken asks Mikey as he cleans up their dinner.
The ex-leader looks up from the couch. "Oh... right." He mumbles out, "I just arrived today. Didn't really think that far ahead. This was a stir of the moment thing."
Draken nods his head. "I really want to invite you to stay with me, but, uh..." He clears his throat, standing up straight, "Everyone knows about what happened. I don't think they'd treat you right at home."
Mikey understands, not really surprised. "It's fine, Kenny." He claims, giving a false grin, "I'll look for a place."
Emma, who just walked into the living room at that, knits her brows and hums, "What? You're not staying here?"
"Uh, no, Emma. I don't think I should." He says back to his sister.
She pouts even more, not speaking up to voice her complaints. But that's when Y/N walks in. She huffs, "We still have an extra room since Takashi shares with his sisters."
She doesn't say more. Really, she wanted Mikey out on the streets and thriving on his own, like he made her do. But Emma wouldn't like that. And Y/N cares about Emma, so much that she moved in with her.
Mikey shyly nods his head at that, lips in a thin line as he looked away. Emma rushes over to engulf him in a hug. "Yes! I took in a lot of your old clothes, so you can change." She tells him, pointing upstairs.
Draken then looks at the time. "Ah, I should get going." He says, walking towards the door.
Emma comes to him and tugs on his shoulder. He looks down and allows her to kiss his cheek, to which everyone turned away from. With a silent 'goodbye', Draken leaves.
Emma drags Mikey up to her room to find clothes, Y/N making her way back to the kitchen.
There, Mitsuya is sitting in front of Mana and Luna. He's talking with them and figuring out what to do for the project. Y/N stared at him. Something about the way he cared so much for them. As the girls finished, Y/N took their dishes and put them away.
"Alright, it's time for bed." Mitsuya called out, ruffling the girls' hair.
He waited to Y/N to finish and then made their way upstairs to their rooms. They passed Emma's closed door, hearing her talk about her change in fashion and how Draken and her have been. Mikey speaks a little, but not as loud. Like whispering.
Y/N and Emma had bought two beds for the Mitsuya siblings once they came to sleepover more often. So as Mitsuya himself tucked his sisters into their respective beds, Y/N watched from the doorway. He treated them to the highest respect. She liked that about him.
Mitsuya walks Y/N to her room. They stood in the doorway, his hand on top of her head gently. "Are you sure you're okay with him being here?" He asks quietly, watching her.
Y/N's eyes were on his t-shirt collar. She hummed back, "I don't want to hurt Emma and Draken. They've missed him the most."
Mitsuya furrows his brows. They've missed him, but who has been affected the most?
He goes to say something, but Y/N lets herself fall forward into his arms, forehead pushed into his shoulder. Her arms laid at her sides as Mitsuya softly rubs her back.
"It's okay. You could always be over at mine, remember?" He says, closing his eyes, "If he chooses to stay, then you know that Emma will want him here. Stay with me. If you want."
The fact that she has a choice makes her heart swell.
With burning eyes, she lifts her arms and holds loosely onto this waist. "Thanks, Takashi." She sighs into him.
A small kiss to the side of her head and she pulls away. Mitsuya is smiling softly, squishing her face a little in her palms. "Anytime, Y/N." He says, happier once she grins back at him.
Y/N closes the door behind her. Mitsuya turns to the side to head to bed when he notices the bathroom light lit at the end of the hall. That was Mikey. His sisters were already asleep and Emma would've been noisier coming out of her room. Mikey was always quiet when he didn't want people to notice him.
And now Mitsuya slept in his sleeping bag, his sister occupying the beds on both sides of the room. But he didn't mind, he'd always let the people he cared about be in a better circumstance than him.
He figured that this was the reason Y/N became closer to him once she was anointed Commander of Toman.
Mikey stood in the bathroom, hands against the sink as he faced himself in the mirror. What a sigh to see after all these years, huh? Change of hair, change of clothes. All different. Not a hint of what used to be. It was a miracle Y/N had recognised him so fast.
Maybe she saw herself in his eyes.
But he can't forget what he just saw. Mitsuya and Y/N. All comfortable together and comforting and all. Get it through his head. That promise wasn't meant to be kept.
Why did he want it to be?
He was the one who left her. Who ruined her.
He really did turn into the thing he hated.
The Next Day . . .
Y/N watched as Emma run over and link arms with Draken and Mikey as soon as she hopped off the back of the Commander's bike. She parked it beside Mitsuya, tugging her mask down as she slid off the seat.
"You always cave to Emma." He states, leaning against his bike with crossed arms.
Y/N rolls her eyes at him, shaking her head as she puts the keys in her pocket. "Well, I wasn't gonna' leave him home alone with your sisters." She informs Mitsuya, leading him to the rest of the group, "Mikey doesn't like being alone with kids."
Mitsuya only nodded his head, fixing the cuffs of her Toman jacket before all the attending Tokyo Manji Gang members gathered.
"Good afternoon, Y/N." Takemichi and Chifuyu say, small smiles dropping when they notice the guy with Emma and Draken behind the Commander and Captain.
Mikey can't bring himself to look up to them. He's facing the ground again, hanging loosely onto Emma. The only person who seemed to actually want him there.
Y/N huffs out, standing straight in front of Chifuyu, Takemichi, Mitsuya and Draken, "Mikey and Emma will be our witnesses. I expect all of you to take care of yourself and look after our associates."
The First Division Captains both look to each other before slowly nodding their head at their superior. Even though they had thoughts rushing through their heads, Y/N would tell them if it was needed. And they knew that.
It didn't take long until the other gang arrived. They brought their Commander, Second in Command and their first two division captains, allowed First Division Vice if wanted. These were the conditions set. But as soon as they lay eyes on Emma and Mikey, who stand in the back, the rival Commander begins to click his tongue.
"I thought we only agreed on certain people." He scoffs to Y/N, now only a few feet apart.
"Those were the conditions I gave to you. They will be no problem" Y/N calls out and makes sure Mikey hears it, hands in her pockets as she spoke through her thin mask. Mitsuya had made her one so she could speak clearly and also cover her identity better from the authorities. "You don't have any room to complain after the shit you pulled this week."
That was a bold declaration made by Y/N. Mikey would've followed the conditions no matter what.
The other Commander twitches his eye. He hated having to follow the rules of someone younger than him. "Fine. We take back our man." He informs Y/N, who raises her brow, "State your terms for compromise."
Mitsuya holds his breath for a moment.
Y/N speaks up, lifting her chin in confidence, "Your men will join my lead. A new Division created all together, the Sixth. Swear all loyalty to me, both you and your group." She can clearly see that the rival is unwilling. "Anyone not under my command is an enemy. And I don't believe you can afford to continue being one."
The rival clicks his tongue because it's true. That ambush left them down a hundred men. Most of it done by the captains and vice captain here. So the rival slowly nods his head.
Y/N sighs out, shoulders relaxing, "Then it's decided. You will be the captain on the new Division. Your Vice will be chosen by me. If I hear word of you turning on me, you'll regret ever forming your pathetic gang."
She turns to Draken, who wore a small grin. "Call a meeting for the coming Wednesday." She informs him, "It will be official then. For now, gather your gang and tell them the news." The now Toman Captain growls under his breath in despise. Y/N smiles underneath the mask. "Watch yourself. I won't hesitate to send my men after you."
"I understand." He retorts, bowing stiffly.
"One more thing." She sighs out, closing her eyes, "I want to know why you wanted to kill me."
Silence rings out within the two groups. Mikey clenches his jaw.
"Because we were hoping that Mikey would come back." The rival explains. Y/N didn't expect anything less. "We had problems with you being Toman's leader."
"Why? Because you were afraid of me?" She pushes on.
"Of course not." He laughs back. The way he says it makes Y/N, Mitsuya, Draken, Takemichi and Chifuyu glare harsher at him.
"Then it's because I'm not a guy." She hums out, closing her eyes, "I have a real problem with people like you. Trying to get rid of me because I'm not something you like."
Mikey blinks.
Mitsuya is close to follow once Y/N begins walking towards the captain. She scowls, "I would've ignored you if it weren't for you disrespecting my authority as well as my men. Listen to me carefully."
In a flash, she's got the guy on his stomach, face pushed against the concrete. His men move to attack when she pulls out her pistol, holding it against the inside of their Commander's knee.
She leans down and whispers, "I don't give a shit who you were afraid of before. You've got me to worry about now. And if I hear even one thing about you turning your back at me, you better fucking pray to whoever you believe in that you can run faster than I can aim at the back of your head."
He's breathing heavily, eyes wide. He's shaking beneath Y/N, who's pushing him to the ground with one shin against his back and the other holding his legs down. He's relieved when the gun is pulled away from his knee.
"All your members who appear at my meeting on Wednesday will go through trial before becoming a permanent man of Toman." She claims, putting her pistol back and rubbing her neck as she walks to her spot, "If I see you acting suspicious with anyone outside of the people who turn up, you're done for."
The meeting is finished. Y/N leads her group away with ease as the other commander does so as well. At their bikes, Y/N fishes out her keys.
"Was that really the right call?" Mikey speaks up.
Y/N glances over her shoulder to him. Takemichi and Chifuyu looked uncomfortable as they boarded their bikes. She raises a brow at him. "What's the point of letting them go? They'll just keep coming back to fight us." She claims, setting herself down on her bike, "Toman is going to become Tokyo's biggest and proudest gang. I'll make sure of it. It's my responsibility."
Mikey only clicks his tongue at that, seating himself on his own bike. Y/N turns to Emma. "Do you wanna' ride with me, or are you planning to hang out with them today?" She questions, looking down at her watch, "I'm gonna' quickly grab something at home."
Emma looks between her boyfriend and brother, and her best friend. She sheepishly glances at the ground. "Um... Do you mind if I spend time with them?" She asks Y/N, jutting a thumb out to the boys.
Y/N shakes her head, not showing anymore emotion. "No, I don't mind. I'll be home at around 8:30 tonight, so I'll call for dinner delivery and leave the money on the kitchen table." She states, rubbing the back of her neck, "Mitsuya, are your sisters going home today?"
He nods his head. "Yeah, I should take them now." He says aloud.
"Okay, then you're going with me." She says back.
Mikey wants to go home now too.
Y/N bids everyone 'goodbye' before driving off.
Emma rides with Draken, Mikey following behind. She wanted to do whatever she could with her brother. She missed him all these years.
They first went to the mall, since Emma wanted to hit up the arcade with Draken and Mikey. She still had a thing for stuffed animals, and the boys tried hard to win some for her.
In all honesty, Emma loved it when Y/N dated her brother. Since Kazutora was the same age as Emma, Y/N was like a little sister to her. Anytime Mikey and Draken were busy, the two would hang out. Watch movies, sleepovers, go to the mall, anything they could to make them feel like kids. Emma also recognised that Y/N made Mikey happy. The happiest he ever was since Shinichiro.
But she didn't even know they had broken up. Word got around during the week that Sano 'Mikey' Manjiro had murdered Hanemiya Kazutora, who had also murdered Baji Keisuke. It was a whole mess and Emma couldn't handle it all.
When she saw Y/N the next day, the H/C-haired girl was standing in front of her house. Emma had collapsed into her arms, crying as soon as they locked eyes. They spent the whole day in the living room, Emma voicing her concerns and all the emotions that bubbled up. Y/N was there to hold her and assure her that everything would be okay. Emma felt sane when Y/N was there.
She always wondered how things were going between Y/N and Mikey. But all her suspicions were halted when she walked into Y/N's room, holding up new dresses for their first graduation party since Mikey left, to see Mitsuya already there.
Y/N was asleep, for what was the first time Emma had seen since the Bloody Halloween, on Mitsuya's lap as he sat up against the headboard. He glanced up to Emma, still holding Y/N's cheek as she quietly snored.
Emma didn't say anything, just nodding her head apologetically before leaving. She didn't bring it up with Y/N or Mitsuya after that because that's all she needed. She didn't blame Y/N either. Mikey left, so she needed to find comfort in someone else. Mitsuya was a good choice, since she heard about him allowing Chifuyu and Y/N to sleep over for a few nights after the fight with Valhalla.
All Emma knew was that Mikey was gone and Mitsuya helped Y/N deal with it all.
"Are you guys hungry? I know a good place for lunch!" Emma said to the boys, who carried all the stuffed animals they won for her, "It's not too far from here!"
The boys agreed. Soon, they were seated at a cafe, looking down at their menus.
"This place is nice." Mikey said, looking at the pretty windows and photos.
"Mhm, Draken takes me here a lot of the time." She said, leaning her head against her boyfriend's shoulder. Draken looks away, a little embarrassed. "Plus, the staff here is super nice to us!"
As if on cue, a waitress comes up to them. An apron wrapped around her waist and the skirt flowing behind her. "Welcome to Tokyo Sunshine, today's a beautiful day for our special, the delicious strawberry shortcake. What could I get for you all?" She asks in a fluttery voice, looking up from her notebook.
Mikey looks up immediately, widening his eyes. "Y/N?" He whispers out.
Y/N's eyes land on Mikey before she takes in a deep breath. She turns to Emma and Draken. Leaning against the table, she huffs out quietly to them, "I told you about my shift, why drop in all of the fucking sudden? Do you know how compromising this is?"
Emma whistles out, looking pretty innocent, "Oh... was that today? I completely forgot, sorry Y/N!"
Draken shrugs his shoulders.
Mikey couldn't believe it. She was working here, at this cafe? What was the leader of Toman doing? And why did she sound so different compared to gang business?
Y/N was annoyed, but covered it with a sweet smile and welcoming posture. The reason she covered her identity around other gangs and before and after meetings was because of her job. If the boss knew she was the leader of the Toman, she'd be fired. And she needed this job. Badly.
"Is there anything I can get for you?" She asks, acting properly for the job, "If you need more time to think over it, I don't mind."
Emma and Draken order their usual, to which Y/N has memorised by now. She waits for Mikey, giving him the first smile he's gotten from her ever since he came back. But it's all empty, a shell of happiness. Not like how she used to be.
"I'll get today's special." He says, closing the menu and handing it to her.
Y/N bows at them, hands behind her back. "Thank you, I'll be right back with your orders." She calls, walking back to the kitchen.
Y/N's smile drops as soon as she's in the kitchen. She's fixing her hair, the apron she's wearing, the collar, everything. She suddenly feels so muddy after interacting with them. She wanted to work after they left.
She finds herself acting childish. She needed to be mature and face him, act like nothing was wrong and continue to lead her gang as she normally would. Why would Mikey change how she acted? What reason? What good reason? They depended on her and if she broke down now, what would they do?
'Grow up, Y/N,' she tells her, shaking her head and putting the food on a tray, fixing it up like she knew her customers wanted, 'Why are you being so stubborn? Handle it properly.'
"Here you are, your food." She says, setting down the plates in front of them, and then their drinks. She bows her head before tilting it to the side. She gives another sugary smile. "If you need anything else, don't hesitate to call for me, 'kay?"
Emma thanks Y/N as Draken nods at her. Y/N walks off as Draken notices Mikey staring at the wall.
"What's wrong?" He asks. Mostly about 'what was wrong now'.
"Is that today's special?" Mikey questions, pointing to the picture of shortcake on the wall. He sees Draken nod his head, getting distracted as Emma steals a piece of his own dessert.
Draken then scolds Emma, telling her that she should've ordered her own if she was so interested. The lovers continue to bicker as Mikey takes note of how the shortcake in the photo looked. Different.
And he turned to his own, a familiar flag pinned at the top of his whipped cream.

MASTERLIST || PROMPTS LIST
You sit on the couch in the garage that Sunset Curve plays in. Alex and Reggie are at home, and Luke’s parents are outside talking to their son. You were watching Luke practice one of the band’s songs and enjoying listening to him play.
“You should’ve told us you were in a band!” you hear Luke’s mother shout. The garage door is cracked a bit. You don’t mean to eavesdrop but there’s nothing else you can really do.
Luke says, “Like you would’ve let me join the band if I had told you.”
His dad says, “We’re not that keen on you being in a rock band at seventeen, Luke. You’ve heard what goes on behind the scenes with rock bands.”
Everyone’s quiet for a second before Luke says, “I’m not quitting the band. I know that’s why you both came out here.”
“Then you’re grounded,” his mother says. “You’re 17, Luke. You shouldn’t be out at night on the streets of Los Angeles at your age.”
Luke begins to say, “Mom, that’s not fair-”
She says, “Luke, you joined a rock band without asking us first. You are 17 and not yet legal. You can’t just go and join a band without our permission. It’s either you quit or you’re grounded.”
You hear your boyfriend sigh and say, “I’m not quitting.”
His mother says, “Then say goodbye to your friends until further notice. Your father and I need to think and talk about this before we let you continue in this band. Let’s go, we’re going home.”
“I need to go grab some things from the garage,” Luke sighs. The door opens and you watch Luke walk in. He closes the door again and walks over to you. You stand up and look at him.
Luke says, “I have to go. Technically my parents are right. I’m not legal yet and probably should have asked before I started a rock band.”
You sigh and say, “You guys have a tour meeting in a few days. You might be able to play the Orpheum and you’re now grounded.”
He smiles and says, “I won’t be for long. I promise. Come by my house tonight, Y/N. Just don’t take the stairs when leaving your house like you usually do.”
“I’ll be there,” you tell him.
Luke smiles and says, “See you in a little bit.” He leans down and presses a light kiss to your lips. You smile and push him back a little bit since he has to go.
You look up at him and tell him, “Go, before your parents like flip out on you.”
He laughs and leaves the garage.
It’s only eight. The sun has completely set since it’s December. You have three hours before you’re due to sneak into your boyfriend’s room.
***
You leave your apartment at 10:30 that night. You bike to Luke’s house, which takes a half-hour because his place is on the other side of town.
When you get to Luke’s house, you hide your bike in the same bushes you always use a few blocks away from his place. You walk the two blocks, sneaking up the driveway and going around back. You see the light on in Luke’s room. You can see him sitting on his bed with his guitar, strumming away.
Avoiding the bushes, you walk up to his window. You knock lightly on the glass and Luke looks up at you. A smile forms on his lips and he gets up, walking over to you. He pulls open the window and says quietly, “Glad you could make it.”
“I wouldn’t miss it,” you tell him. “Help me in.”
Luke grabs your hands and pulls you into his room. You’re careful to avoid the guitar sitting by his window. You pull the window closed once you’re in his room.
You ask, “What were you playing? I saw you on your guitar when I walked up.”
He laughs softly and says, “I was just practicing Now or Never. If you were hoping for new music, sorry to disappoint.”
With a smile forming on your face, you tease, “All that new music I know you’re working on all the time and you are playing Now or Never.”
“It’s going to be a bop,” Luke tells you, putting his guitar in it’s usual spot by the door.
You watch him and ask, “So, why did you ask me to sneak into your room? You only do that when you really want to see me.”
Luke comes back over to you and says, “I really wanted to see you since I’m apparently grounded.”
“You just saw me a few hours ago,” you point out to him.
Your boyfriend smiles and says, “And I won’t see you until I get out of here.”
You blink at him and ask, “Get out of here?”
He nods. “I’m going to pack a bag of clothes, grab my acoustic, and I’m going to stay in the garage.”
“Your parents know you practice there,” you tell him. “That’s going to be the first place they check. You know that.”
Luke says, “That’s another reason why I wanted you to come by. I wanted to ask if I could stay with you in your apartment for a couple of days while they look for me. They don’t know where you live and they’ll probably stop checking the garage after a few days.”
You live in your own apartment with the money your parents left you before they passed. Luke is the only person who knows where you live. “Luke, you’re going to run away?” you ask.
He nods again, saying, “I can’t stay here, Y/N. They will actually make me quit the band and I don’t want to quit the band. I heard them talking before they went to bed.”
With a sigh, you say, “If you’re going to live with me for a few days then we need to set some ground rules.”
So I can stay with you?” Luke asks.
You smile and say, “Yes, you can stay with me, but for no more than like two weeks, okay? I don’t want you actually moving in with me yet.”
Luke smiles back and says, “I just need a few days then I’m out of your hair.”
“You’re never out of my hair,” you joke.
Your boyfriend laughs and says, “Very funny, Y/N.”
You chuckle and say, “I’m so funny.”
“Yes you are,” Luke says. You smile up at him and he cups your face in his hands. You meet his pretty hazel eyes.
He pulls you into a soft kiss. You take a step closer to your boyfriend and tilt your head up. Luke begins to push you toward the bed. Your knees hit the mattress and you fall backward, pulling Luke with you.
Both of you laugh as the kiss continues. Luke settles between your legs and your fingers slide into his hair. He deepens the kiss when you part your lips ever so slightly and his tongue slips into your mouth. You let out a soft sigh.
Neither of you hear the footsteps walking down the hallway outside the room. Luke’s bedroom door opens and he jumps off of you. You look up and see Luke’s parents standing in the doorway.
His mom looks between you both before she says, “Luke Patterson, you are in so much trouble.”
