i've been talking abt my voltron playlists and @iveofficiallygonemad asked to hear them and i want to share with anybody who wants!! i know they're not perfect, i'm working on them & trying to make them better. if you have any recommendations for any of them, let me know!! there's like A Lot and i want to give a lil explanation for most of them, so i'm putting them under the cut ^-^

SO first i have my favorite one <3 it's just. all of them. it's the whole team. it's a mess and it's a bunch of different genres because it's them fighting over the aux cord on a road trip. it's them trying to make each other laugh or annoy each other or play something catchy enough it will infect everyone in the vicinity with brain worms.

Hunk: i'm pretty happy with my Hunk playlist! chill vibes. he strikes me as the kind of guy who listens to calm music to try to find his own calm, and that's what i got here :)

Pidge: this is messier and less cohesive than my usual playlist because frankly i think pidge would have a shit taste in music. all over the board. this is a mix of meme songs and 8-bit covers and vocaloid and stuff that i think pidge would genuinely connect with, and i think pidge listens to all their music on shuffle without any regards for genre or mood because they're a gremlin. nobody gives pidge sole control of the aux.

Coran hears 80's music for the first time and loses his mind. He thinks ABBA is humanity's single greatest achievement.

Lance: i have ideas about where I'm going with this but haven't really settled yet. Lance seems like the kind of boy that loves to dance (is that canon? i forgot) so most of these are Bops That Make You Move in some way or another. he likes to present an upbeat face to the world, so there's no angsting in this playlist! we are clinging to the things that make us happy with both hands until our knuckles turn white!

Keith: i'm gonna be honest. i made him a playlist but i honestly don't think he cares about music very much. it's very important to some people! he's just not one of them! i haven't cracked this playlist open in a while but i'm pretty sure it's full of songs that i think he would conceivably train/work out to.

Shiro: this playlist involves the dumbest headcanon i have for shiro that has just not left me alone since i first thought of it. most of the playlist reflects the fact that he had an emo phase in middle school (that one isn't a headcanon, you just have to look at him to know) but BUT there are a few songs on here that are on here because. little known fact. he also went through a Twilight phase that he told nobody about. (keith knows. keith was there.) he has the entire twilight soundtrack memorized. he moved past the story but the music stays forever. he used to daydream about slow dancing to Flightless Bird, American Mouth. the first time Coran mentions that they have to avoid a place because there's a supermassive black hole there, he has to bite his tongue in order to keep a straight face. do NOT ask me why i believe this so wholeheartedly.

Allura's playlist sucks right now. I think it's because in my heart of hearts i know that, were she on earth today, she would go fucking nuts for taylor swift. i have ambivalent feelings for taylor swift. i cannot do allura justice like this. if you see my vision and have recs as to what might actually fit her, PLEASE.

Klance: i haven't done it yet but i'm gonna go through this and sort it to be a sort of progression of their relationship, starting with the more combative Rivalry songs, then slipping into "oh shit oh shit" songs, then maybe ending on the more lighthearted purely romantic songs <3

(i have two songs in a shallura playlist which does not at all encapsulate how much i'm obsessed with them. the tiny cop inside my head is just constantly screaming at me that i'm going to get yelled at for liking shallura. i am going to kill the cop inside my head.)

right now you wish you could email your parents your list of things they've done that make you feel neglected or harmed, block them on your phone while they take a week to process, and then just aggressively hang up the phone every time they are mean to you thereafter. that's the dream

it might be too mean of a dream, and it's definitely a financially infeasible dream, but that's the dream.

you might never be able to set "stop doing this or you lose me" boundaries with your parents because they will probably always have the rebuttal of "okay, we will not pay for anything until you start behaving appropriately." this fact is INCREDIBLY painful today and kind of sucks.

if you lose the ability to throw money at your difficulties with ADLs, things will get very bad very fast.

it is probably better to feel invalidated all the time than to, for example, just never eat meals again.

you're not physically unsafe from them. it would be different if you were physically unsafe.

you would be unable to feed yourself really at all if you had to stop getting takeout so often. you could get really sick in a lot of ways.

it could be a lot worse! it is not, like, good, but it could be dramatically worse.

your therapist doesn't think they would ever cut you off financially but maybe you could ask her to help you make a plan for if they do, as an exercise, because it sure does not feel likely to you.

the difference in how team vibe/leadership appears from the outside is still crazy to me. like i didnt watch a lot of soulfire pov and so hearing the tales of how things were internally is such a wild contrast to how they looked. I SAY THIS WITH LOVE IN MY HEART. PEACE AND KINDNESS AND BEAUTY ON PLANET EARTH.

like my mind particularly hones in on tubbo saying bbh was out of control and such in his discussions with (if im remembering correctly) phil and foolish. i cannot be damned to bring up every instance of things but the general vibe of blue from POV outsider was like, tubbo is leader in name only and bbh is making aggressive plays without talking it over with his team first.

but the soulfire livebloggers tell me that soulfire is operating with 3 person leadership split between tubbo, bbh, and tina. the word on the street is the majority of blue is chill and working together. which i would Not know if not for those blessed bloggers because my watching habits meant i saw tina and soulfire's base once in a blue moon (hehe blue team blue moon). so the face of soulfire i saw was Mostly bbh, pierre, and tubbo, which did not aid in the impression of the organization i got during the early days.

on a different but related note, i'm fuckin dying to better know how Decisions happened with that 3 leader gig. like i'm used to the drill usually being phil gets on early, sees the stats and calls out what tasks are priority that day, and then the team balls and focuses on that task because it is Decided.

Okay, this has been a long overdue PSA, seeing that S2 came and went and, regardless how any of us feel about it (or because of it, seeing the amount of fix-it fics?) it left an amazing power of inspiration, seeing that there are.. .70-100 new fics being posted every day? Now, since the very beginning, back in Dec 2021, the point of this place was always the convenience, as well as to connect all those talents out there to a hopefully wider audience - while at the same time sparing everyone from the problematic stuff also being written/posted (that most of us would like to avoid) so therefore, for the overwhelming number of the new followers – here are some basic house rules:

CONTENT: It is at this point absolutely impossible to read everything, so we can not offer guarantees about any content quality. So it goes without saying that, based on what’s presented from descriptions and the tags - it’s your choice to peruse, or respectfully move on. It is the responsibility of both author and the reader - the first one of creating the content (and of course marking/tagging it appropriately) and the latter one making their own choice about consuming and engaging. 

TAGS: To prevent any unpleasant situations, ALL posted fics must have pertinent, unambiguous tags - main, as well as all the additional ones. The content itself is naturally writer’s prerogative, but the issue of the reader’s choice to engage or not is also non-negotiable, and then everything is simple: if forewarned about the content, one can still choose to give it a shot, or not. Insufficient or inappropriate tagging may lead to misunderstandings and/or dismay, and that’s exactly why everyone out there usually does abide to the common tagging courtesies. On the other hand, if a fic has been tagged with something possibly problematic only as an act of cautiousness - while it does not really contain any graphic content like that - it might still be posted, upon careful screening. In that case, all readers are still advised to use their blacklists.

BLACKLISTS: People create these spaces to present their content and all the safewords and blacklists are unfortunately a necessity, ultimately to protect ourselves as well as everyone else. As stated in the initial post - we will be filtering all extreme content (rape, underage, gore, incest, beast, etc) but please use your own regular blacklists for anything else. If there are any other discrepancies or inconsistencies to this rule, please inform us and we shall review accordingly. 

MISSING FICS: With the overwhelming number of fics, there’s also a problem of cross-posted stuff that does not belong here. Namely Jayvik or Timebomb (M/M and F/M) where Cait/Vi are tagged regardless of being just a background ship, or barely present as characters. Due to the limitations of the RSS feed app we utilise here (and no, they are not free - in case anyone cares) the conditions, as broadly defined as we tried to make them - category, relationships, specific additional tags - simply HAD to be set. Therefore with such filters, some fics may not pass. In which case, if it’s your fic – and you feel it still belongs here, let us know and we'll see what we can do about it. But if you do, please act immediately as we cannot go through hundreds of month-old posts.

FIC SEARCH: Unfortunately this page is NOT a "can you find a fic for me" page. We tried to facilitate that in the beginning - but alas, not a lot of you were interested in partaking - and helping others. And we here do not (and can not, physically) read everything, nor we keep libraries. So, if there's a general interest we can still set up a tag, or start a community with that purpose - fic search or general fic chat. But again, there would have to be an interest from a lot more than the few of us here - for that thing to work. Project 2025 goons wrote the memos requiring that

all "policy making" positions at federal agencies henceforth be political appointments, AKA filled by Trump loyalists rather than career civil servants;

2. All federal positions be "in office" only - not work from home - in a move Elon Musk has said would lead to a "welcome" voluntary reduction in the federal workforce.

...according to Molly White (they forgot to scrub the metadata from their PDF reports), so all that stuff about how Trump wasn't going to do project 2025 was of course a lie and we should expect them to continue shoving their unpopular agenda down our throats, in many cases illegally and contra the will of Congress.

It was definitely a goon because, I mean, look at this:

In Fiscal Year 2024, of the nearly $10 trillion that the Federal Government spent, more than $3 trillion was Federal financial assistance, such as grants and loans. Career and political appointees in the Executive Branch have a duty to align Federal spending and action with the will of the American people as expressed through Presidential priorities. Financial assistance should be dedicated to advancing Administration priorities, focusing taxpayer dollars to advance a stronger and safer America, eliminating the financial burden of inflation for citizens, unleashing American energy and manufacturing, ending "wokeness" and the weaponization of government, promoting efficiency in government, and Making America Healthy Again. The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve.

Plus basically all the rest of them via uncertainty... this is money already approved and allocated by Congress incidentally so 100% illegal for Trump to unilaterally block BTW, and there's a bunch of lawsuits pushing back already just as there were for the "birthright citizenship" memo (already temporarily blocked by a Federal judge) and the pause on all new foreign aid.

So now we have to argue, is this sheer incompetence or is it a deliberate attempt to cause mass civil unrest and/or demoralize, kill off or drive out the Democratic voters? Does it matter when people - all kinds of people but mainly poor people - are going to die while this mess, or one of the other many messes of this admin, gets sorted out?

I dunno, but I can tell you that when I worked for a school district that did budgeting like this - acting like every penny was personally coming out of the pocket of the superintendent - it was because said superintendent was stealing money from the budget. So I personally wouldn't discount that the chaos is intentional and a cover for mass theft from the federal budget... they just (illegally) fired all the nonpartisan federal budget inspectors, of course.

let's talk a lil bit about the new Thedas Calls teaser and the new blog post, in relation to revisiting the DA:D leaks from around 10 months ago (potential DA:D spoiler warning for those last 2 links, as well as for under the cut below):

(I won't be posting the images and gif themselves from that leak here, not directly. here and here are some previous posts of mine talking/speculating about those leaks so that I don't repeat myself too much. and here is my DA:D spoiler tag in general in case it's of interest to anyone to browse or anyone wishes to blacklist it. also, the usual set of disclaimers that accompany all leaks applies - might not be real, unable to verify, games change a fair bit between development phases and final release, take with grain of salt etc).

okay, so really in this post I am just looking to tie the new teaser&blog info with that leak.

the new teaser indicates Weisshaupt as a location we'll be visiting in DA:D, seeming to confirm the leak, which shows the possible Player Character, Rook, and their companions including Davrin fighting through Weisshaupt ("Weisshaupt" can be seen in the top right text).

the new teaser implies something bad has happened to Weisshaupt (see bottom paragraph in that post) and when the 'Speaker 2' Warden character speaks their line, we hear the roar of battle, a battle cry, the clang of weapons etc. I wrote elsewhere that Speaker 2 (who insists that Wardens don't hide in their castle, they fight)

sounds like a hardened fighter, a seasoned commander. he is speaking when he’s about to be attacked, or in a pause in battle

and in the leak, text shows that Rook has the objective "Defeat the darkspawn", and shows them fighting through Weisshaupt in combat with darkspawn. this is not the worst of it however - per the dialogue there's "worse than darkspawn on the way", and the walls won't hold it back. we see Rook fighting what looks like those red lyrium-affected darkspawn creatures. Could the thing that is worse and on the way be the cause of the "tremors in the Anderfels" described in the blog post, or one of the "risen gods" mentioned in the teaser? I feel like if you squint, in some of the images from the leak, there looks to be the silhouette of a great beast in the background, maybe a dragon.

this location in the leak, also noted as Weisshaupt, looks to be this location from the teaser, just from a different angle/position on that 'level'. it has the same night-time, lighting, dark atmosphere, rocky cliffs, cloudyness, ruined buildings/structures, ominous feel, vaguely green tint etc.

the blue dome in that location also seems to show up as an asset in the Rivain segment of the teaser.

apart from the red lyrium darkspawn, the red lighting here in the leak (and potentially the reference to "Spawn Boils"), as well as the ominous spreading tendrils in the leak images in general, bring to mind the red lyrium-esque glow in part of this shot from the teaser.

the leak describes Rook as a "Level [x] Grey Warden" - interesting considering the prominence of Grey Wardens as a highlighted faction, locale (via Anderfels and their HQ), 'Warden Speaker' in the teaser and all. (remembering also the speculation that Warden is a potential background of some kind for the PC)

I also wonder if the big door with griffons on it in the leak is what looks to me like a door/gateway covered by the suggestion of red lyrium in the teaser. I feel like if you squint you can just about make out the pattern of the engraved griffons' wings on it, or those rayed lines from the bottom half of the door. (or is this just me seeing things hh?) in the leak the characters are trying to hold the door shut and there's no red lyrium on it. I guess they fail and it becomes tainted by red lyrium and destroyed/grown over or something, or the dragon etc that I presume they're trying to keep out, does end up busting through, with the walls around it becoming destroyed too. (easily done by a dragon, magic, red lyrium or stuff magic-warping bc of Fade shenanigans etc)

According to sources that spoke to Tom Henderson's Insider Gaming, "It’s understood that you’ll be able to move from your hub to missions by passing through a mirrored portal." I know the games have always had Fast Travel all over Ferelden as in DA:O or all over Ferelden and Orlais as in DA:I etc. and it's a game, so you don't really need an explanation for jumping around travel-wise due to gameplay-story segregation. the mirrored portal obviously sounds like an eluvian though and to tie this to the new teaser, with so many different locales shown across vast swathes of northern Thedas - Anderfels, Tevinter, Antiva and Rivain at least - I have to wonder again if the PC and their companions are travelling around these many different countries and across such distances via eluvians. I wrote elsewhere,

moving from a hub to missions through eluvians was exactly what we did in Trespasser from the Winter Palace, and it worked really well. Trespasser’s setup was really enjoyable. it was a fun mechanic that helped explain fast travel and apparent teleportation. it also allowed for travelling to places all over, from the Deep Roads to ancient elven ruins to places in-between the waking world and the Fade - a variety of handcrafted places to explore still but with a tighter storyline threading through them, as opposed to open-world that felt like it was probably mandatory to include during development because of other games on the market like Skyrim and AC, but which then struggled to be filled with meaningful content to fill the space and in which that struggle was apparent. I’d be down for that. I’m just daydreaming and speculating wildly now for real (bc it’s fun) but we could travel all over Thedas that way. We did that in [previous DA games] I know but you know what I mean?

at the very least from the new teaser we now know we're travelling to at least 4 different nations in DA:D. :>

Some leak-text on Reddit also accompanied the gif and screenshots from the leak. it again mentioned the darkspawn attacking Weisshaupt. as I wrote at the time, this "explains why Weisshaupt looks wrecked", now it seems like we are also seeing this in the new teaser (wrecked Weisshaupt). it seemed to confirm the influence of red lyrium also, mentioning that some of the enemy darkspawn "have red lyrium attacks", and confirmed the attacking dragon. I wrote at the time

The dragon is also Concerning.. like. Darkspawn attacking, with a dragon involved. That sounds like a Blight and an Archdemon. Is this the Sixth Blight? is it a Red Lyrium Blight? I'm reminded of this concept art. also HELLO?

not sure about a 'red lyrium Blight' / 'sixth Blight' exactly per se, but what it reminds me of again is the Anderfels blurb from the new blog,

as in, the contents of the leaks sure sounds like this 'storm of ominous intent that darkened the Anderfels skies' has now struck, and hit Weisshaupt.

In the leak it was noted that

"The objective is to fight through the Darkspawn to get to the library, but as you are doing so there is also a big ass dragon attacking from above. And the dragon creates occasional environmental and traversal hazards. It ends once you reach the library, close the gates, "and then come face to face with the dragon. It appears you are then supposed to try and chain the dragon up, but it ends before the player completes that."

(I said of this, "I guess the big lever we see has something to do with trying to chain the dragon up.") I feel like here in the new teaser we can see some hints of occasional environmental and traversal hazards, like lightning strikes (some dragons have lightning / electricity abilities right? like Vinsomer from the DA:D codex they shared with us), broken bridges and different places where we might have to jump to, hang from, or climb onto etc (and the leak had also mentioned that jumping returns). I also feel like, perhaps the ring-things in that shot from the new teaser have something to do with the chain-system mentioned in the leak, where it seems that you're supposed to then try and chain the dragon up. the leak also said that

"Basically, buildings and whatnot are all modeled and textured but the skybox itself is very dark and makes it seem as though the entire fortress is underground, although it is clearly not. I suspect the skybox could contain some giant world event, similar to the Breach, they hadn't finished."

given that in the new teaser Weisshaupt still looks dark, it seems like this was intentional? and likely due to the attack on the fortress and whatever giant world event may be appearing in the sky[box] that was theorized to being something similar to the Breach (and in that concept art of Weisshaupt).

Anyway just wanted to say I really appreciated your addition and how you broke it down (plus it's just really interesting history in general). Yeah. They blocked me pertty quickly, and I also think they're blocking anyone who likes it via me. Which. Understandable given that we are clearly polar opposites in opinion and they seem to want to block rather than engage with anyone who disagrees with them (I also took a cursory look at the blog early this morning after I saw this ask and they seemed to think I was agreeing with Frederic Wertham in my response, which. lol. no.).

I've done my time in the ship war trenches and I have zero interest in picking fights (morality-based or otherwise) over ships like I'm still a teenager. I think the core thing that bothered me is just the really open assertion that those ships (especially in the context of comics canon) were ever considered "vanilla" or "unproblematic" by the fandom-at-large at some point in the pre-"AO3 is the core repository of fandom content" era past when anyone older than 25 could tell you that was literally never the case.

Like, if you want to ship them fine. Gross, but as long as you tag it appropriately so I can avoid it it's fine; that's why AO3 has a tagging system and tumblr has a blacklist function. But to then go out of your way to assert that JayDick or BruDick was a "historically vanilla and unproblematic ship, actually!" while claiming everyone who disagrees is a "homophobic anti" is just utterly bizarre behavior.

Alright anons, we need to have a talk. Moss is too much of a sweetheart so I’m going to say it for them.

Get the hell out of their business.

I understand that some of you enjoy certain fics that were made by them, and are sad to see them go, but that doesn’t give you the right to try and repeatedly send asks regarding a particular Link.

Moss has been so kind and patient with you guys. More patient than other creators would be, that’s for sure. And do you read rules before coming into a person’s inbox? Because the way some of you guys have been acting, I’m not too sure.

Moss has made it clear that they are not interested in talking. They do not like repeating themselves. They’ve said it multiple times and yet they get ignored and stomped on.

“But I was just genuinely wanting to know-” It doesn’t matter. Genuine or not, asking something that is repeatedly told to stop asking about - which is declared on their pinned post that you failed to read - is saying enough about your ignorance to their wishes.

“They always place the warnings in the tags” Anon, come close for a quick second. Tumblr tags are an added space for thoughts. It’s free information about the person. It’s a part of what makes Tumblr, Tumblr. You can always blacklist the tags or block them if you want to. OR you can just not come to their blog anymore. Maybe even pretend they’re not there at all. You are responsible for yourself at the end of the day. But alas, the memo is not being get.

Besides, anyone with a sliver of a brain cell can see that they’re uncomfortable whenever someone brings them up. Whether they’re anon or not.

I would like to add one small thing that is - I've been debating turning off anon because of the recent everything, I've settled for simply closing my askbox for now and taking a step away from posting before coming back when I'm not a hair away from deleting my entire blog because of it all. I've been pondering how to answer for a little while, because on one hand, do I really want to take the time and energy to answer such an idiotic message? But on the other hand, you've given me a great excuse to set some things straight so thank you for allowing me to make an example out of you.

This is my blog. I can blog about whatever the fuck I want. I do try to be diligent abut tagging Bucktommy content specifically so people can avoid it if they want to. I identify the Bucktommy fics in my fic recs, I tag the Bucktommy content. If you don't like Bucktommy, tumblr has great muting and blacklisting features, so use them. You can also just unfollow if you're not happy about what I blog. Didn't you think of that before coming into my ask box to bother me about this?

I do not have to justify the way I run my blog to anyone, but your suggestion that I should change the name of my blog JUST because I've recced SOME Bucktommy is ridiculous to me. If I really wanted to be petty about it, I would count the number of bucktommy fics VS buddie fics in my recs just so I could shove it in your face that it's such a fucking small number, I don't even understand how you're bothered about it.

And if I was a die hard "OTP Bucktommy endgame" stan, then yeah, I might make a separate blog about it, but anyone with more than two brain cells who spends any amount of time on my blog can clearly see that it's not the case for me.

It's hard to tell because it's only been some posts but you sound somewhat frustrated with pre-season discussions happening elsewhere for The Dragon Prince? In any case, I thought you might appreciate the note that some people certifiably do like Rayla and Callum as characters perfectly well (I know I do at least and have since the start)?

I'm sure you're aware of it already but it felt somewhat like it'd help you not feel like you're typing into a void of dissent for enjoying them and the show concurrently? Even if I'd disliked the time skip in some capacities (I didn't particularly, I thought Rayla had good instincts wanting proof of death etc she just perhaps should have taken more backup for higher success chances if at all possible) Stella's introduction would have won me over entirely anyway.

There's no shame in being easily charmed by adorable animal characters, after all! She really is cute and also useful in limited capacities, like Bait.

If you wanted an actual ask with the above I suppose that I'm intrigued how similarly you thought Bait and Stella functioned as extended powers/company of their respective people and in the group?

Mostly on twitter (which is a reason to stay off twitter) but, in all honesty, it's mostly because it's annoying to see people use ship names or main tags for their complaining (I have "tdp critical" blacklisted or whatever for a reason y'know). Like as someone who truly deeply loves every character and every part of the show, when Claudia or Terry or Aaravos or anyone else gets promo I'm thrilled and intrigued and theorizing. And there's a minimal but loud portion(s) of the fandom who are either currently expressing (or have a track record) of annoyance when Callum and Rayla, as main characters and as the show's consistently most developed dynamic (which, I want to stress, has been the case even in s1 and s2) dare to be main characters and have marketing, there's an uproar of complaining. (Again, not the majority, but still baffles me that it exists at all.)

It'd be like if I complained about ATLA being primarily about Aang, its main character, for the majority of the show's run because I thought Toph needed more of a character arc (she's the least developed of the gaang bc she comes in s2 and has a general self-acceptance arc that doesn't need a ton of steps, for ex).

Sometimes favourite characters are there to have minimal screentime, execute their story purpose, and highlight other characters' arcs. The divide between characters where that's generally understood (Gren, Lain, Tiadrin, Opeli) vs characters where it's not (Aaravos in S4/S5, Runaan) again irks me because of the inconsistency, and therefore bias accordingly affecting judgement. Which maybe isn't fair - most people, myself included, are in fandom as a hobby, and for some people that means not evaluating their biases and not wanting to adjust their expectations; I just can't imagine doing anything else

I think Bait mostly serves as emotional support to Ezran and a lil guy to Talk to for Callum (2x05, 4x02) when a human character wouldn't quite make sense or is gone (Rayla is his usual confidant, for example). Stella is more interesting to me from a structure standpoint as 1) a character connected to the Star arcanum who thus far doesn't really need to be, so I'm curious there and 2) a juxtaposition to post-timeskip Rayla's "we can't save everyone" that her big heart and soft insides is still there, and still something worth listening to.

I just want to touch base on a few things before jumping into the full list of house rules-

Activity is relatively low. I work full time as well as have responsibilities (and limitations) that don't allow me to be here as much as I want. So replies can take anywhere from a few days to a few months. I am always lurking & d.scord is available to mutuals.

The lineup can be triggering for some viewers, so respect this is an 18+ blog (though I prefer 21+). Each muse has generic tags for blocking purposes and descriptions of featured tws and what to expect from each one on their individual bios (wip).

I should clarify:: I consider myself a pro.shipper. While I don't approve of every ship, I don't care what people do with fictional characters. With that there are going to be some triggering ships present on this blog (mainly in.cest/pseudo.cest etc. HOWEVER, there will be NO minor/adult ships on this blog, aside from canon ships and even then they are to be rped in a post canon timeline where everyone is OVER 18.)

I understand the controversy around gen.derben.ds/swapped etc characters. And I have zero intentions of making any other characters of that nature. However Rory isn’t going anywhere. So I understand that she will upset a few people; but at this point this muse has been with me for over 10 years that she almost is her own entity.

MUSES

Some muses are minors in canon. and I'm willing to rp canon timelines, however, majority of them will be played in a post canon timeline in their early 20s (except Rory who is by default 28)

Every muse has a designated emoji. I find it fun and whimsical. I have no other reason. though the emoji/their name will always be used in some form when specifying muse. This allows for blacklisting purposes as well if a specific muse is too triggering. 

Please specify muse when interacting. If not, I will choose whoever I see fit. though I would rather choose someone you would enjoy interacting with instead of stuck with a character you have no knowledge of.

Frankly all muses are by default pansexual. And every ship is its own timeline. We can rp cheating as long as it's discussed. I also am okay with poly ships as well.  On this topic - please do not force ships. if your muse crushes on mine, that's totally cool. I'm really open to all styles of content. So we can have angsty unrequited love. Or who knows maybe they grow on a muse and it ends up happening. Just let the ocean do its thing and we'll see where the ships go lol. 

FORMATTING/ TAGGING/ ASKS

Again fun and whimsical. I like formatting and using manga icons. You aren't obligated to match. If formatting is a distraction and makes it difficult for you please just let me know and I'll avoid using them in our threads.

There will be a lot of triggering content on my blog…looking at you B… the only posts that will not be tagged with a pretty format will be all triggers. Very simply - those will be tagged as “ trigger tw “ or “ trigger mention “

Re: Hypertagging characters/ships for triggers, yeah as someone whos insane ass has a very serious trigger for a specific fictional character -particularly if they are portrayed in a positive light- I just Do Not Read Fic in that fandom by and large and blacklist it pretty hard.

It sucks I had to divorce myself from the fandom because I LIKED the earlier seasons and sometimes the fic was cute and good, but I simply cannot reasonably ask anyone to tag every mention of that character so I blacklist it all.

Its a me issue, NOT a them issue, so its my job to manage it and actually put effort into that.

That means blacklisting the show on every platform that is possible that I use, not following people who are likely to post that character, not consuming the new canon content of the show in case I get jumpscared with the character, and only ever intentionally looking for content if im in the right frame of mind to be able to stand simply seeing the name somewhere while I control+f a fic to see if they show up. I even sometimes ask friends to prescreen fics sometimes if I REALLY want to read something.

I make my own content if I want to engage with that media and I avoid the fandom. Its... I wont say its easy because it really sucks actually, but the world cannot and should not cater to me in that way. Its a competing access need and unreasonable to ask.

Its reasonable to ask a friend to warn/not deliberately show me that character- not NOT reasonable to ask a rando to do that.

Id even try to desensitize the trigger if I was in a good place for doing it but I am the wrong kind of insane to be doing that any time soon lol. Trauma work lays you right out.

To people wondering how anyone could be so fragile as to need something like that tagged; PTSD and other mental illnesses that cause serious triggers often latch onto innocuous things. Do you think I want to have such a 'cringe' trigger that causes me to [redacted] at best and have a dissociative panic attack-flashback combo AND [redacted] at worse? No its dumb as hell and I hate that there is very little to do to suppress it. Does that make the trigger go away? Also no. Its not like this is just me not liking or being uncomfortable with the character, this is an involuntary serious-hazard-to-health negative reaction I shant detail that sucks ass.

Yes us crazies do deserve to participate in fandom spaces too, we arent too broken to be barred from playing with everyone else- we just have to understand where the reasonable line is on accommodations for tagging, understand that competing access needs are a thing, and do the rest of the work ourselves.

Its not perfect but its the most good for the most people.

Id invite anyone who has a character/ship/etc trigger to seriously just blacklist the media and do what I do or even be more strict about it. You will feel so much better and more stable im not kidding. It sucks to lose a beloved fandom but you will feel so much better.

For everyone else- dont feel you need to tag every last mention on something. If you really want to be trigger friendly for some reason, you can put in the chapter notes all the minor mentions of stuff or w/e. Please Do Not put it in the proper tags.

Sadly, "dumb as hell" is a pretty default setting for triggers. If only brains were logical and behaved themselves! But one has to work with what one's got.

Thanks for your response. I was the anon who ended the ask with 'the fandom can suck it'. When I saw that anon who you and twinanimatronics had assumed to be the one that keeps you know starting shit with you, I really hated that they labeled us as shipbrain or whatever they said. I am aroace who finds comfort in shipping characters and that doesn't make me any less aroace. Can't people like them just let us have this, let us share it and stop taping our mouths? God. We are not even hurting anyone. I posted a solarxmoon and solarxearth mini comic thing yesterday and behold, I believe that same anon found it and is looking adamantly through the solarxmoon and even solarxearth because I didn't use the tsams tag for my comic. I took the comic down fast and turned off anon messages so quick because God that anon was quick to leave nasty messages, six in total and that was panic attack inducing. I'm sorry for rambling about this. I don't know anyone else who got that same anon on their back. It looks like they are persistent for lack of better term and it annoys me+scares me. Can't even share things I like about here anymore. Hoping solarxmoon becomes canon so that anon can shut up already

If Solar Moon became canon, they don't even need to change anything.

Going into popular users in the tsams fandom that I personally don't know... and spreading bad lies and rumors about me.

Like, they typically try to keep it as vague as possible, like "oh I am not talking about dana-chan-the-control-brain specifically....." but they often steal the exact wording and turn of phrase I use.

Cause I have an overly wordy way of talking on the internet.

I've always been this way since I was 15, so I feel my style of speaking is pretty overly wordy, rambly and long compared to most people just because I don't have a lot to share with my opinions with in real life. And I also misspell things a lot cus spellcheck has gotten worse since it became AI trained and it doesn't help my dyslexia.

But how sad is that? That someone is searching out the tag for a ship that they don't like, claim that "it's everywhere" and I'm "poisoning the fanbase" when I'm just.... here... playing with my own dolls, doing my own thing.... and not bothering anyone... Not even putting the ship in the tags publicly because I have Such respect and love for the silly little youtube show, who also plays with fnaf characters like they're dolls.

(just saying.. "bio-organic" and interdimensional travel did NOT come from fnaf I can tell you that much. )

And yeah, if they're really stumbling across Solarmoon or these ships on accident.......Blacklist the tags and move on? Don't come to my messages... Don't harass my friends...

is there no good blacklist option anymore? because i know there's the filtered tags in the regular tumblr settles but it doesn't hide the post completely, it just covers it up & shows the keyword you have blocked

& in theory that's fine but if there's a url i've blacklisted i don't want to see anything of them at all then it sucks. its not triggering or anything at least, just annoying. especially in the case of if there's a blog that posts a lot in a tag i follow & it fills it up with content that has be wondering if i should just unfollow & call it a day
