is there no good blacklist option anymore? because i know there's the filtered tags in the regular tumblr settles but it doesn't hide the post completely, it just covers it up & shows the keyword you have blocked

& in theory that's fine but if there's a url i've blacklisted i don't want to see anything of them at all then it sucks. its not triggering or anything at least, just annoying. especially in the case of if there's a blog that posts a lot in a tag i follow & it fills it up with content that has be wondering if i should just unfollow & call it a day

so if anyone has any suggestions i'm all ears !

american high schools sometimes just don't feel real to me. like i understand that cheer leading, drum lines, homecoming, SATs, writing college essays as part of an application, security or metal detectors, the list goes on... are all very real things that exist. i know this

but when i see it on a tv show or smt it's like seeing magic in a fantasy genre. it exists as part of the worldbuilding but feels unrealistic bc it feels so outlandish

its not even bad necessarily but i'll keep hearing about shit now as an adult & just internally ??? bc surely that's fake

also the fact people heat water in the microwave is insane but that's more of a personal gripe than it is sounding fake

i don't post much personal stuff on here but i'm at my family cottage spending an absolutely beautiful with my dad & grandfather so i wanted to share a pic of the view. the sun is shining & the level of breeze we're getting is absolutely perfect too. i love visiting cottage country in general, the vibes are simply unmatched

& !!! i totally called it last week in that i'm almost solely interested in doing nothing but reading & writing while i'm here. i'm still writing a fair bit just privately instead of posting but i'm optimistic that i'll be able to post replies on here more as well ! that is if i can stop turning single para posts into full length novella for no reason which takes ages lmao
