Don't forget that Steve and Bucky also match in Infinity War, something that HAD to have been done on purpose, because there's absolutely NO WAY they didn't see each other at all in between Steve's missions as Nomad. Meaning Bucky intentionally wore an outfit that not only matched Steve's in color (the dark, dirty blue) and ALSO called back to his Howling Commando jacket via the design of it (which Steve must've been head over heels for bc Bucky looked STUNNING in that jacket)
These two are married, your honor!!
MELES MY LOVE, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BRINGING THIS UP BC IT'S MY FAVOURITE THING ASGHDAGSH 💖💕💖💕💖💕
Tumblr media
Like THERE 👏 IS 👏 NO 👏 WAY 👏 that this wasn't a conscious decision on Bucky’s part. He absolutely did it on purpose and canon practically provides us with proof of that!
I mean, let's take a step back here.
I think it's not only safe but also pretty legit to assume that Bucky didn't participate in any of the missions Steve and the team went on, considering that:
1) he didn't trust himself to stay out of cryo (much less out of Wakanda) for too long until he was finally free from the trigger words;
2) once that happened, he was only focused on recovering, resting (in T'challa's words) and finding some calm (in Bucky's own words);
3) he didn't even get the new vibranium arm until earlier that day, and fighting without it would have put him at a disadvantage.
Now, while he was healing and enjoying his skype sessions and conjugal visits with Steve, he wouldn't have needed a suit like this, or any tac gear; nothing beyond the comfy work clothes we see him wearing earlier in the movie. So where does this suit come from? He definitely didn't have it on him when he and Steve first made it to Wakanda.
there's absolutely NO WAY they didn't see each other at all in between Steve's missions as Nomad. Meaning Bucky intentionally wore an outfit that not only matched Steve's in color (the dark, dirty blue)
I LOVE YOU because fuck yes they MUST have met during that time, and fuck yes he absolutely saw the state Steve's suit was in.
He probably watched it happen, month after month, visit after visit, noticing how Steve had ripped the star off his chest. How the red of the stripes had faded into a muddy brown, how the white was now a dirty grey.
How Steve still kept his shield harness, even when the shield itself was long gone - maybe out of habit, maybe to seek that sense of security it gave him after so long wearing it like a second skin. Maybe feeling the ache of this phantom limb, carrying the ghost of its weight on his shoulders still, but never regretting leaving it behind for Bucky - just like Bucky could never bring himself to regret staying by Steve's side throughout the war, and losing all he lost afterwards.
And I may be reading too much into this (hell, I'm willing to read a whole fucking essay into this), but can you really tell me that THESE
Tumblr media
don't remind you, even in the subtlest way, of THESE??????
Tumblr media
Which is why, I insist: IT WAS DELIBERATE on Bucky's part. It was so fucking deliberate I'm going to cry, honey.
Because at some point, either on the same day this battle happened or sometime before that, probably sensing that something bad was coming, Bucky acquired this suit. Maybe he borrowed it, maybe he bought it off someone. He could have gotten a brand new one, right? Instead, out of all the things he could have worn, he picked this: the blue jacket, the brown pants, all of it well-worn and stained, just like Steve's.
Perfectly matching Steve's suit.
Perfectly matching the suit Bucky used to wear way back in the day.
And it makes me wanna sob, because this is Bucky after the trigger words. This is a Bucky who has been living among people who know perfectly well who he is, but they don't treat him like a danger, like a weapon, or hell, like a name from a black-and-white past.
This is a Bucky who has been reclaiming his own identity, who has been struggling to find himself again, to discover who he is now, in the new century, after everything he's lost.
And I believe Bucky's telling us who he is, right here. No matter what year it is, he is Steve's man. He wears Steve's colours. He fights with Steve, for Steve, always. This is where his loyalties lie, and he's proud to show it off, to anyone willing to look.
I think in that sense, it is also very much a declaration of love. And it's so fucking romantic, okay, because!! Here, at the end of the world?
He's paying homage to their past, while reaffirming in the present that today, and for every day ahead of them, until the end of the line, until that future they were always walking towards hand in hand, he belongs with Steve. Come what may.
Also don't even get me started on how they're growing out their beards and hair TOGETHER 'cause I'll never stop fgdjgsjshdk
In conclusion: THESE BITCHES ARE SO MARRIED THAT THEY GOTTA MATCH EVEN WHILE MARCHING INTO BATTLE, THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK *drops mic*

I think the way people villainize jason is so interesting considering that at his core jason embodies true empathy for victims of both violent and non-violent crime more than any of the bats.
Like you can't cut addicts off cold turkey, that only causes more harm. So he'll make sure your drugs are clean and you get clean needles. And when you wanna get clean he'll help. He'll kill your abuser, your rapist. Not JUST for you, because he will do it for you. But not only for you, but for anyone else that person could hurt.
Also ppl in fanon make it so that cass would hate him (and she probably might but not for what they think), but i think he'd despise her moral code just as much.
Her empathy for (1) singular individual has eroded her ability to empathize with any victim of any crime of any magnitude hereafter to ease her own sense of guilt.
Jason's entire moral code rides on doing whatever it takes to make sure that victims are safe and comfortable. Sometimes you aren't comfortable until the monster that stalks your nightmares is dead.
But they won't let him or other victims have that. They let people live in that nauseating perpetuity of "will they hurt me again?" And their only moral leg to stand on is that they don't kill. Like a prolonged death from extreme violence is any better.
I think cass would hate him for the moral dilemma he presents FOR HER. How does she grapple with the fact that the lives taken/hurt by the persons she CHOOSE to let live, is infinitely more than it would be if she killed like jason. (Didn't she break into a prison to free a serial child rapist on death row??? I cannot remember the exact comic but feel free to correct me)
Also people act like jason kills indiscriminantly, which he doesn't. We know he targets persons who target women, children, and people who enact sexual violence.
Idk i think the way people view jason moral code is a direct reflection of how they see real victims of crime and bad circumstances. They're quick to say violence isn't the answer but sometimes it's the only option between life and death. And its not wrong to want to live
- 🪼
!!!!
You can tell that some people have no fucking clue what harm reduction is based on the way they talk about Jason. Like “he was a crime lord he dealt drugs!!” BUDDY HIS ENTRANCE ONTO THE SCENE WAS “DON’T DEAL TO KIDS”
There’s something to be said about Jason doing anything to make a victim comfortable vs Cass doing anything to prevent death
I do find it interesting that people are always like “Cass should hate Jason” but never addressed the fact that Jason would hate her right back.
Aoughhhhh something about Cass only viewing herself as a murderer and Jason being a victim of murder and how it shaped their ideology in different directions is soooooo.
I also think that Cass’ moral code is one of the most fascinating. Because it goes beyond not playing Judge jury and executioner. Cause like you said, she broke that guy out of prison. He was on death row. Aside from my feelings on the death penalty. (Abolish it) the judge, and the jury had made a decision. And it wasn’t even like she went to the governor and beat him up until this guy was given a stay of execution. She took justice into her own hands like Jason is condemned for doing just in the opposite direction.
Like Cass’ no killing goes farrrrrr beyond Bruce’s and I don’t see that talked about enough
I do wanna say that I fact checked with my Cass friend, the guy she broke out just killed someone he was not a rapist.
But you’re so right about how people like to view Jason through real world lenses. It’s insufferable sometimes.
All that is to say honestly? I fear Cass’ moral code is not the bastion of purity people treat it as.

WAS CASUALLY THINKING OF Art and Patrick going down to one of the Stanford tennis courts to practice, inviting me. And then me watching as they play before they get bored and invite me down to the courts to play with them. And I refuse, convinced I’ll look stupid, having never played before. Which of course prompts Patrick to come up to where I am and drag me to the court himself. I don’t fight, there’s no point in doing so. But I do complain the entire time he leads me to the opposite side of the court across the net from Art. I mention to them both that I, “Don’t even know how to swing the damn racket.” So Patrick takes that opportunity to come up behind me, adjust the racket in my hand then place his hand on mine atop the racket and guide me through it. Even going as far as to briefly guide my hips with his hand. He finally steps aside to let Art serve, and I’m dreading the moment it hurls towards me, I miss, and then they laugh. Which they do, but they try and play it off with “No, that miss was cute,” and “Don’t be embarrassed it’s only your first time.”
Art GRABS A NEW BALL and he serves again and again and again. Until I finally manage to hit the ball, doing so with some actual force that makes me realize why a tennis match is filled with grunts from each player. It doesn’t necessarily hurt but it does ache really deep when you’re not used to it. The force of my first contact with the ball was unexpected from Art. So when it comes hurdling towards him, he only has time to dodge out of its path, looking behind him where it hit the fence before turning back to me with an impressed look on his face. Mind you, it’s wasn’t a, “Wow that was really good, you must be a natural,” look. It was more of a, “That was really hard for your first actual contact with the ball…what the fuck,” kind of look.
Art just KEEPS SERVING at me, trying to get me to continue hitting the ball so I can actually have a game with one of them. Meanwhile Patrick is watching me, studying my body and form, as I keep not quite getting the hang of it. Until Art goes to serve again, and Patrick stops him mid way just to walk over to me and all but manhandle my body into a position he deems fit. Trying again to guide my arms through different swings as his back is flush against mine.
Across the court, Art WATCHES with a fire in his eyes as his best friend pulls, pushes and paws at me, his boyfriend. That fire isn’t anger. Nor is it jealousy…at least not entirely. But it’s something more similar to need. There is something entrancing to him about watching me and Patrick work through the right way to hit the ball. Our bodies are so close that Art wonders how I’m able to move the way Patrick is showing me. And our faces are so close that whispers would have been a more appropriate volume of communication between us. Any bystander would consider Patrick’s guidance as taking way too long with way too much physical contact. Art, however, subconsciously thinks it wasn’t long enough, and that another set of hands would’ve been perfect. He wanted to cross the court to help explain, the exact way Patrick was. But instead he was stuck in place, spinning his racket in his hand as he watched from afar.
We CONTINUE to practice for about an hour, hour and a half. Somehow teaching me made the boredom of practicing tennis fade away for them. They would enjoy when I’d fuck up, but enjoy when I’d succeed even more. By the end of our session I was able to have a average “game” of maybe four-ish passes with both of them before I’d mess up. Patrick was desperate to have a turn once I got the hang of it to see if I could handle his style of serving or playing. The session ended when I complained that my arms and hands were starting to hurt, and they took mercy on me. Realizing they probably overdid it, and then helped me ice my arms and parts of my legs after I told Art no to his ice bath idea. Not enough mercy, however, to not plan the next session where they’d teach me to serve…right in front of me.

towa is a character that i didn't really look too closely at until i read an episode with him in it. he was funny and cute and honestly loved how they write him, LOVE a character with flaws. and then we get on that dock and he can speak and he asks if we believe in soulmates--
i was now smitten with towa.
but there's something else that's made me so interested in towa from the very beginning with the way his stigma seems to work so different from everyone else's, and it's been bugging me from the beginning.
Tumblr media
i don't think towa is a ghoul
spoilers through episode 12
Tumblr media
it sounds like a crack theory, i know. i'm aware. i said it to my friend and she replied, "then why would he be here?" and you know what? fair question! but we've seen plenty of anomalies so far, and a couple that are very human like. you know what else we've seen? a god that's lost its power.
now i'm not saying towa is a god. i'm also not not saying that. i'm just saying that ever since we first saw him, towa's been extremely different from the other ghouls.
this theory is all guesses. i don't have a lot of evidence other than vibes and screenshots. i guess that's how all of my theories are, but this one has even less evidence than the others given how little we know about the ghouls powers and pacts and how they affect a person when they make a pact.
my main arguments for towa not being a ghoul are his characteristics, his stigma, and his behaviors. parts of each of these set him completely apart from the other ghouls, enough so that it makes me suspicious that he's not actually a ghoul, but potentially some sort of spirit.
lesskettit
towa's characteristics set him apart enough alone. like, we could literally just have this theory based on his behavior and it'd be like yeah, he's weird, he's not like them. thankfully--or unthankfully if you don't want to read a 2k essay on him--i have more than just that. but allow me to take you back to the first jabberwock episode when we meet towa in person for the first time. the first things we see are him striking something with lightning and eating a dandelion. also!
Tumblr media
interesting shape for his bubble wand to be in. unlike our ring (the sage's ring or whatever) this one does that the six pointed star often depicted in solomon's seal. it is, however, a shape that's used in multiple places with multiple meanings. but. still weird.
towa cannot speak in sunlight. his voicelines on the homescreen are only during the night, and in game, 9 times out of 10, he is only speaking to us when the sun has set. however, in the episode with the cat anomaly (funniest anomaly ever btw i was cackling every time that thing was on screen) he's able to speak when he's in the cat's shadow. this is the first time i considered it being linked to sunlight and not just time of day. however, to argue against my own point, when he was in the caves and zenji approached him, he couldn't speak. so maybe the writers just forgot it wasn't night when he spoke from under the cat. or, he just didn't want to talk to zenji. who knows.
another characteristic: his eyes. LOVE the fucking rectangular pupils. always a fun character choice. i think he's goat coded, but goat are not the only ones who can have rectangular pupils:
Tumblr media
deer is another fun idea, considering all the flowers he's eating, and his eyes looked a LOT like the kraken's in the first jabberwock ep, but i'm still going with either deer or goat, and i'll get into that in a bit.
part number two! his stigma!
what the fuck is going on with his stigma!
maybe it's because i'm autistic but the rules for the stigmas were very clearly laid out for us early on: you received a stigma from the demon you made a pact with, it requires a trigger word to use, and we can enhance it with our super special ring.
towa follows literally none of these rules.
he's never had to say a trigger word before using his abilities (weather, controlling anomalies, jumping insane distances...), he seems to have more than one stigma if so (plus a weird consequence of losing speech in the sun) and he's never taken advantage of us making his powers stronger when we touch. disclaimer because it's necessary, the staff said they're still researching ghouls and they don't know everything yet, blah blah blah. STILL. it's mainly the stigma rules that made me think, "oh, these don't apply to him because he's not a ghoul." and ever since i stopped thinking of him as a ghoul, his place in the story has made a lot more sense.
lastly, his behaviors.
he's VERY into flowers. that doesn't make him any different, nor does him giving nicknames to the other ghouls make him different, but it's clear that the flowers have a very significant meaning to him--and they're also a very tasty snack. i love that the wiki points out that he can eat them "without digestive issues". like, hell yeah. no tummy problems. you go girl
the flower symbolism feels significant for the fact that i think it has something to do with what he actually is, and it's the flowers that are making me lean toward some sort of nature spirit. i'll add his nicknames for people into my flower meanings post for their warding cards to keep all the flower stuff together. or make a post on its own. either way. yum yum
another characteristic of his that strikes me as different is his attitude. i've seen people call it childish and black and white, and those are both very good ways to put it, but it still feels more...persistent? to me? like he has his opinions and how he thinks things should be done and he will not waver, whether it's his attitude towards ren or his ideas on how to gather up animals. it's not quite childish to me, but i do think this also plays into the fact that he's not a ghoul. while taiga also follows wild impulses and kaito can be incredibly stubborn, towa's feels different. all of the ghouls were people who were human before their pact, obviously lived lives, and now they're here on campus to help further the institute's research. (yet again begging for any info regarding how any of them made their pacts, PLEASE!) towa doesn't feel like he came from a background in society as we know it, at least.
(another crack theory i had was he was some sort of creature who made a pact and asked to become human. wouldn't that be crazy?)
towa's behaviors, especially given that this is a piece of media where werewolves are real and matches can make you forget things, give me the vibe that he was something who was plucked from where he was living a certain way and put into this new life and expected to adapt. haru seems to be the one helping him adapt, and towa looooves haru. that's his dude for sure. haven't quite figured out if it's in a romantic way or in a "he's mine" kind of possessive way, but i don't think that really matters to towa.
it might matter to haru, though. him making the joke about someone back home "getting jealous" was funny as hell.
so, with all of those facts constantly running around my head, i have come to the conclusion that i don't think towa is a ghoul. what he is, exactly, i'm not sure yet, but i have a couple ideas. the main problem is i don't know what all is like, an option. they could tell us he's a demon pretending to be a human in like three chapters and that would change like, 85% of my belief system around this game. so i'm making an educated guess and staying vague. always a good option to be vague.
given towa's nature symbolism, issues with sunlight, and general behaviors, i'm proposing that towa is some sort of nature spirit.
in greek mythology, one of the bigger nature gods (and there's several theories that this god carried over from some sumerian and even more ancient religions) was a god called pan. he was said to be father of the satyrs and also depicted rather goat-like himself in most of the medias he was depicted in. along with the satyrs, pan was god of the flock, nature, fertility, and the wild. a lot of his tales are a little graphic in nature. in the same vein tales of zeus are, so heads up if you look into them. his main representation in myths was the wildness of spirit and of nature and then, at the very end of the greeks rule over the west, it was said that pan is dead.
that itself is a super big topic of debate in history. supposedly, one person was calling to another that "pan is dead." that itself can be interpreted in a few different ways. one interpretation was that it meant the pantheon was dead: christianity had just hit its huge uptick in followers and the greek society was collapsing, so perhaps it meant the death of the pantheon and the rise of a monotheistic religion. the other popular interpretation, especially in fiction, was that pan is the only god who died/disappeared. the main reason for this is that the god of nature is dying/disappearing as humans begin to spread further into the world with their technology. we see this represented over and over in media (the kaijus in japanese stories like godzilla, ubtao in dungeons and dragons disappearing, the movie ferngully, etc). a popular interpretation of this story was in percy jackson, where we see many satyrs go on a lifelong quest to go find the god pan.
Tumblr media
given how many other references we have to greek mythology, i think towa is going to be associated with pan. he's got the goat eyes (and is called goat-like by haru in a home screen line,) has capricious in his bio (constellation of capricorn (a goat), root word capro comes from goat with a Latin association of frisking or turning suddenly), is an aries (goat), has a weird control over animals and other anomalies, and is in LOVE with love. also, connected to the weird love tree only we can see.
another interesting tidbit to point out, we see towa in the caves pretty often. pan's altars were almost always found in caves and out in nature. also hold on
Tumblr media
this is driving me insane what do these numbers mean towa. towa what do they mean.
Tumblr media
this is the only one that seems vaguely relevant. there used to be ten houses and then three are now defunct. TOWA WHAT DO THESE NUMBERS MEAN WHAT ARE YOU KEEPING TRACK OF
anyways those are my main arguments for towa being a non-ghoul. like i said, i don't really think he's the god pan. most likely, he's a nature spirit who now looks like a human. also, i've gotten this weird feeling that towa may have initially been in dionysia. dionysus as a god also represented the wilder side of things as i said in my defunct houses post, and he was also associated with the satyrs. it was said (in myth) that the satyrs regularly participated in his wild feasts. soooooo possible connection? who knows
towa you vex me and plague me and i cannot stop thinking about what you are. mwah
asks and dms always open!

I’m rlly hope im not bothering u but i just…need an ear to listen/a shoulder to cry on.
I’m so exhausted. Idk if I’ll even be able to play Minecraft anymore due to everything going on which sucks cuz this game was a huge part of my childhood and brought me a bit of peace after the election last year when I started playing to distract myself i haven’t played it for awhile ago even before the BDS announced the boycott. I keep seeing ppl that it’s still fine to play the game offline and just not spend any money on it(which is something I am doing and do plan on 🏴‍☠️ the movie) and seeing ppl saying they opposite which is making me super confused and being scared to death to even touch the game and for all we know Palestine probably won’t be free in my lifetime(or never) along with Microsoft not pulling out of supporting isreal, sellers for jfashion and anime merch I like have stopped shipping to the US and idk how long it’ll be temporary for or if it’ll be forever, Trump says he wants to run for a third term, everything keeps getting more expensive, I now have to fear ghe possibility getting round up and thrown into a camp/asylum and or be experimented on or killed thanks to RFK jr making a few disease tracking thingy for autism, and I know I need to hold onto hope and keep fighting but everything overall just keeps getting so much more worse and not better and everyday I resent anti voters and third party voters who willingly chose not to vote blue and refusing to prevent all of this from happening(even if Trump did cheat theyre still asswipes)…
I can’t believe I have to share the same planet with these wastes of oxygen. I’m so exhausted..I’m so tired..part of me wishes I should’ve died on election night cuz at least then I wouldn’t be going through this endless loop of pain and despair and watching as everything slowly crumbles around me. I just want it all to end. I’m so tired. I’m tired seeing everything fall apart with nothing improving whatsoever majorly. Why did my parents bring me into this world? I wish i hadn’t been born at all
thank you for reaching out! it’s completely normal to feel afraid and hopeless under these circumstances, you’re definitely not alone in that. I’m so sorry it’s affecting you like this. the thing I’m good at online is providing resources, so for a more sympathetic shoulder to cry on, please consider contacting a “warmline” - like a hotline, but for less urgent situations.
“the primary ask from organizers [of the Microsoft boycott] is to help deprive Microsoft of revenue.” simply playing a game that you already own does not generate revenue, as long as you avoid microtransactions. don’t give them money, and if it doesn’t have ads, you’re good. they literally don’t even know if you’re playing offline, so there’s no possible way they could benefit. plus, I would argue that if participating in a boycott would harm you (eg. making you “scared to death” to play a game you love), the difference one individual will make to the cause does not outweigh your personal wellbeing - but again, just playing the game is compliant with the boycott’s goal of impeding revenue
for merch that’s no longer sold in the US, you can try Etsy, thrift shops, or making your own.
as an Autistic person myself, I’m also worried about what RFK’s statements could lead to. I would recommend that anyone not yet diagnosed should postpone seeking diagnosis until after this administration and its policies end, just to be on the safe side. while diagnosis can of course be beneficial, the only “treatment” that many insurance companies will cover is ABA, which is known to be abusive and traumatizing (TW the latter link is upsetting, just sharing for those who don’t know), and most accommodations that diagnosis would legally entitle you to can be requested more informally, especially in a school/university setting (despite my diagnosis, my college refused to officially give me any of the accommodations my psychiatrist recommended, but I got most of what I needed by speaking to individual professors). As for what to do about it, you can get involved with Autistic advocacy groups like ASAN (they have a tumblr too), AASPIRE, or the Autism Society
in response to your last paragraph, I seriously urge you to PLEASE call a hotline - there are people who are trained to listen and help - and get therapy if you can. despair is a natural response to everything that’s happening, but you’re more important than all of that. I’ve been there; the worst of it for me was around a decade ago now, and in the last few years I’ve genuinely felt hope. it really, truly, does get so much better, as long as you’re here to see it.
focus small, on yourself and your family. 1. what’s good about this exact moment? for me, it’s beautiful weather out and I get to see the new leaves coming in on all the trees. 2. what can you do to make right now just a little bit better? if I weren’t at work, I might get a cup of tea to enjoy in the sun. 3. if you feel up to it, what can you do right now to make tomorrow a little better? maybe when I get home I’ll wash a couple dishes so I can drink from a clean cup in the morning; on a somewhat longer timescale, I garden - check out my dirt (I promise there’s seeds in there lmao) - and this gives me hope.

Did anyone ever consider the fact that each character that takes on the task of proving heliocentrism always ends up acting contrary to their prior beliefs after having encountered this theory?
Tumblr media
First, we see Rafal, who believes in rationality - that which is rational is also beautiful, as he likes to say. All this talk about ignoring emotions was true until it simply was not. After meeting Hubert, the boy moved by the other man's words, decides that there is something bigger, something more important than living logically(=normally), something that was worth his life and everything he had lived for up until then.
After that, we meet Oczy who is eventually joined by Badeni. Oczy, who had previously thought of this world as ugly, is moved enough to place hope in Earth and its wonders, attempting to see it in a new light, again, even if it cost him his own life, very insane given his pessimism that he would express to Gras. The one who preferred heaven over this Earth, had chosen to bet everything on said Earth even if it meant ascending to hell.
Badeni had been wishing to find "a moment that makes life special". Needless to say, that was heliocentrism for him so things are slightly different when it comes to him. He had been on the search for something big prior to the events so for him, it was mostly about 'What makes this moment truly special'.
Badeni, having found his special moment, what changed for him was the means in which he approached the matter. Determined to prove the theory himself, instead of pushing everyone away and using them for his own benefit like he said, aka selling out Yolenta or destroying all research data on heliocentrism for only he deserved credit, he ended up doing things that he never pictured himself doing.
He left evidence for the next generation. Let alone that, he left behind Oczy's journal. What was logical about that? How was this beneficial to him? He could have left Oczy to suffer the torture but, having been through similar punishment himself, he realized that this is not the way to do things. That the matter was out of his hands and that giving up does not mean denying what is important to you.
Yolenta is a bit different from all the rest. Solely because of socially imposed stereotypes, she could not move the way she wished to when she was young. She did not change her behavior having been met with the heliocentric theory but rather, she was convinced of her inspiration to protect this knowledge, whether she would live to see the day did not matter as much as that.
The girl was always hesitant, unlike the others, she needed time - years that is, to accept that the treatment towards her was not fair at all, making it her goal to make knowledge more accessible to people like her and to the world in general. Though, most importantly, to accomplish a goal she had since childhood - publishing under her own name that is.
She had always doubted but as we can see, the years had passed and we meet her now; she is not that shy girl of back then. Yes, it is true that it had been many years but the life she had lived was not an easy one. The girl who always doubted her actions appears before us convinced of her every choice.
I would like to add that I may be a man but I grew up, fortunately using my brain, to know that women have always been in the workforce and academia. They seriously always have. You just have to dig up the info a little bit or, even if she is a known person, her life would have been miserable or cut short. I know things like that occurred in the past, where people died young but anyone can see that women, who have always contributed to all fields, have been mistreated in the course of history and today as well.
Yolenta is a really good example. I am a scientist and so I have happened to read about the history of it. I can not even begin to count the amount of times where scientists, who are women, make an astounding discovery only to not be rewarded or for their name to be erased or downgraded from its rightful place. It is shameful. Also, for some reason, society wants people to believe that women are now worse off than in previous generations since they can "now" work - which is of course, false. Women have always worked and studied. Thinking otherwise dehumanizes them. They have always had passions and dreams.
Just like Yolenta, who wished to publish. She wanted her name out there in the world, to leave something behind. Every woman that made history is Yolenta.
(I may talk on this account about Rafal and Badeni a lot but I have such a soft spot for her, I could not even properly rewatch the scene where the guy tells her he submitted her treatise under his name. Time skip Yolenta is also inspiring, I was moved by her firm stance towards the world. She looked stronger than anyone else on the show.)
All in all, let us all keep doubting and believing in ourselves, the world and the people around us. It goes a long way.

normally toji prides himself on being the perfect guard dog—not that he would ever tell you that. but you never have to worry about guys coming up to you when your hulking monster of a boyfriend remains at your side, continuously glaring down his nose at everyone he sees.
this usually works pretty well.
on adults.
but now, as you and him wait in line at the counter of the grocery store, he can only let out a huff of irritation as he watches the little brat in front of you both stare over his mother’s shoulder—big wide eyes locked on you.
at first you don’t really notice, too busy blabbering about something silly as you look around the store. but when you finally lock eyes with the child, you notice the way he seems to go shy, pressing his cheek deeper into his mom’s shoulder. his eyes flick away from your face for just a second, before timidly looking back. as soon as he does, you break into the sweetest, most giddy smile.
(toji would move mountains for a glimpse of that smile—and yet here this kid is just getting it without a shred of work.)
you tilt your head, raising a hand to gently wave at the boy, who flushes further under your attention, but lifts his cheek a little more. chubby fingers come up to meekly wave back, and you hold back a silent coo of affection, eyes filled with honey-like sweetness. with every little giggle and silly face you make at the boy, he seems to get more and more comfortable—toji watches you melt.
the unlucky little brat then quickly peeks at the giant man looming beside you, and toji can’t resist. his face pulls into a evil smile, teeth on full display as he wiggles his fingers sinisterly. the expression has its desired effect—the kid recoils, eyes going wide before burying his face into his mother’s neck. in a few minutes, the boy and his mom are heading out the store and you and toji start loading the groceries onto the belt.
“i saw that, you know?”
toji glances up, seeing your semi disapproving frown, and he cocks his head in faux innocence. “saw what?”
“you’re mean,” you shake your head, crossing your arms. “scaring little kids like that. quite literally the object of their nightmares.”
“ah, he’ll be alright,” toji grunts, taking the bags from the cashier in one hand and reaching for your palm with the other. “it’ll build his character.”
you snort. “he’ll have trauma.”
“like i said,” he grins, a canine display. “character.”
you roll your eyes as he tugs you out of the store—your grip on him unwilling to falter.
toji lives just like this, successful in scaring off any other person who considers giving you attention, whether that’s an adult or a little kid. and despite your exasperated complaints to at least lay off the children (they’re harmless), toji has known for a long time that he can be nothing but selfish when it comes to you.
so forgive him, if he quickly turns to this evil little tactic to scare away kids—it’s all he can really do. besides, it always works.
until now.
you’re sitting under a tree at a small park, working on some dumb assignment for one of your lectures. toji lays on his back next to you, arm draped over his eyes in a momentary respite from the normal danger of his life—eerily content.
the peace is broken by the rustling of tiny footsteps in the grass.
“here you go.”
toji pulls his arm away to peer at the owner of the voice. a boy stands there, hair tousled as he waits in front of you with his arm outstretched—in between his chubby fingers is a singular dandelion.
your eyes widen, cheeks splitting into a wide smile as you coo out your affection. “aw for me?”
the boy nods mutely, cheeks flushed as he thrusts the flower further into your view. you delicately pluck it from his hands, inhaling the fragrance with a grateful smile. “well thank you. it’s beautiful.”
he shyly kicks at a spot of grass, lips pulling up into a giddy smile under your sweet praise. “just like you,” he mumbles under his breath and you squeal softly, giggling at how adorable this kid truly is.
toji sits up before you can say anything else, lips pulled into a displeased frown as he crosses his bulky arms across his chest. “hey.” his voice comes out low and tense, even as he stares down his nose at the boy. “what are you doing?”
you turn to look at your boyfriend, at the exaggerated sneer that normally works wonders in scaring kids away, and you hold back an exasperated sigh. “toji—“
“who are you?” the boy frowns, sass appearing out of thin air as he looks toji up and down like he’s nothing but dirt under his colorful sneakers. you gape at him, eyes darting back and forth between the two as a smile threatens to make its way into your face. toji’s lips part in surprise, a tingle of heat crawling up his neck as he hears your hushed gasp of held back laughter.
“her boyfriend,” he grunts back, eyes narrowed in a way that’s oddly similar to the expression on the kid’s face.
“no way!” the boy huffs, pouting indignantly. his cheeks flush as he glares at toji—unfazed.
“uh, yes way.” toji realizes how petty he sounds, but he’s adamant—unwilling to stand down in anything that involves you.
the boy crosses his arms, mirroring toji’s pose. he rolls his eyes emphatically, lip curling as he sneers down his nose.
“isn’t she too pretty for you?” he asks bluntly. you smother another disbelieving gasp, and toji suddenly feels an unfamiliar thrill rush through his veins—this kid had guts.
“what do you know, brat?” there’s a smirk evident in toji’s voice now, and he uncrosses his arms to lean back on his palms, eyes shining with feral mirth.
“i have eyes,” the boy snaps back, putting both hands on his hips to appear more intimidating—it doesn’t work, he just looks cuter. “i can see her.”
“well quit it,” toji huffs in return. “not yours to look at.”
the kid narrows his eyes. “you’re mean!”
“and you’re nosy!”
“how am i nosy?”
“you’re comin’ over here and givin’ my girl flowers!”
“she deserves flowers!”
“of course she does! from me, you little brat!”
“you suck, old man!”
“what did you just call me?!”
a shout from across the park disrupts the heated bickering, and you all turn to see an older woman waving the boy over. he looks down at you, a sweet smile washing over his face as he tilts his head innocently. “that’s my mom. i have to go home now.”
“heh, sure thing. get home safe, okay?” you shoot toji an amused glance as you speak, and he sends a displeased glare back as he stubbornly crosses his arms again.
the boy nods, beaming at you. “okay! see you later!” he chirps. but just as he’s about to leave he turns back, eyes fixated on toji. “i hope your boyfriend learns how to be nice!”
and then he runs off.
you snort out another laugh, which only gets louder when you catch a glimpse of the way toji is practically sulking in the corner—scowling at the kid’s back with narrowed eyes.
the whole thing is so unbelievably endearing, and you can’t stop grinning as you pack up your things and stand up.
“let’s go home, toji.” you hold your palm out for him, and you’re rewarded with a pointed glance—he takes your hand anyway. even as you both exit the park, toji has an unamused pout on his face, glaring ahead.
you can’t resist.
“don’t tell me you actually feel threatened now,” you giggle, grabbing his bicep and pressing close. toji glances at you from the corner of his eyes, unamused—which only seems to make you laugh harder. “oh come on! he was so cute!”
“little brat,” he grumbles in return. “couldn’t take a hint.”
“you’re mad because the eight year old kid at the park didn’t want to believe you were my boyfriend?”
“the fuck do you think? of course i am. what do i look like if not your fucking boyfriend?”
you chortle, practically falling on him with the weight of your amusement. he sighs, disgruntled.
“it’s not funny, kid.” toji rolls his eyes at you—internally, he’s trying not to grin.
“it’s so funny, toji.” you straighten up, smiling at him with stars in your eyes. “you’re ridiculous and it’s so cute.”
he scoffs, giving you a sidelong glance before reaching up to tug at your cheek. “i’m definitely not the cute one.” he murmurs offhandedly before internally smirking at the way you seem to be caught off guard by his statement.
“whatever,” you mumble, holding his arm as you both continue walking home in relative silence. from the corner of your eye you can see toji’s expression as he mutely stares ahead, deep in thought. you decide not to disturb him, content on just feeling his warmth bleeding into your palm—always at your side.
toji replays the incident in his head multiple times as you head home. the bickering, the sass, and the unfiltered adoration that little brat seemed to have for you.
something clicks.
as you’re pushing open the door of your apartment, you hear toji quietly chuckle from behind you, and you turn to look at him over you shoulder. “what?”
he shakes his head slowly, eyes shut even as an uncharacteristically soft smile tugs at his lips. “just thinking…”
“about what?” you ask curiously.
toji grins at you, cocking his head fondly. “when we have a kid, i want the little brat to be just like that.”

---------------------------------------------------
The soft glow of the overhead light casts long shadows across the dining room, but its warmth does nothing to chase away the cold emptiness creeping into your chest. You sit in one of the dining chairs, fingers idly tracing the gold band on your ring finger—the once-familiar weight of it feeling heavier than ever. The house is silent, except for the distant hum of the city beyond the windows.
Jungkook is late. Again.
You’ve lost count of how many nights have passed like this—curled up alone in bed, the space beside you growing colder with each passing hour. He always has a reason. A meeting that ran overtime, a last-minute project, something urgent that demands his attention more than you do. And you’ve always understood. Until now.
Your second anniversary is just around the corner, and for the first time in weeks, you have something to look forward to. Something that, surely, he wouldn’t forget.
You let out a slow breath, staring at the untouched dinner on the table. It’s the third time this week you’ve set two plates, only to eat alone. The food has long gone cold, but you still can’t bring yourself to clear it away. Some foolish, desperate part of you still hopes Jungkook will walk through the door, pulling you into his arms, murmuring apologies against your skin.
But the door stays closed. Your phone stays silent.
You check the time—almost midnight.
He used to call. Even when he was busy, he always found a way to let you know he was thinking about you. A quick text. A voice note. Something. Now, hours pass without a word, and you’re left wondering when exactly you started feeling like a ghost in your own marriage.
You clench your fists, blinking back the sting in your eyes. This isn’t you. You don’t doubt him. You don’t overthink things. But these days, love feels a lot like waiting, and waiting feels a lot like breaking.
And you’re so damn tired of breaking.
You close your eyes, trying to remember the Jungkook from before—before work took over, before the distance set in. The man who, despite his quiet nature, always found a way to make you feel cherished. He wasn’t one for grand speeches, but his words had always carried weight. Small, simple confessions once meant everything. Now, silence is all you get.
It wasn’t always easy with Jungkook. Back in college, he was cold, reserved, a storm you could never quite predict. But little by little, he let you in. His love had been careful, deliberate—whispered promises in the dark, stolen glances across crowded rooms, fingertips brushing against yours like a secret only the two of you understood.
And now, it feels like you’re losing him.
The thought sends a sharp ache through your chest. You tell yourself it’s just work, that the weight of being CEO is heavier than either of you expected. That he still loves you, even if he doesn’t say it as often.
But love isn’t supposed to feel like this.
The clock hits midnight.
You don’t know what you were expecting. A text? A call? Maybe the sound of the front door unlocking, Jungkook stepping in, exhausted but still managing to hold you close?
But there’s nothing.
Your throat tightens as you stare at the small cake sitting on the dining table, the frosting slightly uneven, the decorations a little clumsy. You were never a good cook—Jungkook knew that better than anyone. But in the early days of your marriage, you had tried. Because back then, cooking together had been something special. Flour-dusted fingertips, shared laughter over burnt pancakes, stolen kisses between stirring batter.
So tonight, with him too busy and too stressed, you thought a quiet, cozy celebration would be enough. Something small, something just for the two of you.
But now, looking at the untouched dinner, the unlit candle, and the cake that no longer seems worth eating, you realize how foolish that hope was.
You glance at your phone—no messages, no missed calls.
You put away the plates. You put the cake in the fridge, even though you know it’ll probably stay there, forgotten.
And then you crawl into bed alone, wrapping your arms around yourself because if Jungkook won’t hold you, who else will?
-----------------------
You stir, feeling the warmth of an arm lazily draped around your stomach. The weight is familiar, grounding, and for a moment, it feels like everything is okay.
Jungkook is still asleep. Shirtless, his toned chest rises and falls in steady breaths, his face soft in the morning light. His dark lashes cast faint shadows on his skin, and his lips—parted just slightly—make him look so much younger, so much more at peace.
You take your time looking at him, memorizing the exhaustion on his face, the faint crease between his brows even in sleep. He must’ve come home late—so late that you hadn’t even heard him.
Still, he’s here. Beside you. And that alone is enough to make something flicker in your chest.
Maybe he’s planned to stay home today. Maybe he remembers.
You can’t help but lean in, pressing a soft, loving kiss against his cheek. His skin is warm beneath your lips, and for a fleeting moment, everything feels like it used to.
Jungkook mumbles something incoherent, his brows knitting slightly before relaxing again. A small, sleepy noise escapes him, and the sound makes you giggle softly.
He stirs, his grip on your waist tightening just a little before his lashes flutter open. His dark eyes, still hazy with sleep, land on you, and for a second, there’s nothing but quiet warmth in them.
"You're up early," he murmurs, his voice thick with drowsiness. His thumb absentmindedly brushes over your waist, a touch so familiar yet so foreign all at once.
You smile, brushing a few strands of hair from his forehead. "Couldn't sleep much," you admit softly.
Jungkook hums in response, his eyes falling shut again for a moment. He nuzzles into the pillow, his grip on you still firm like he has no intention of letting you go. And for a brief, fragile second, the weight of last night, of the distance, of everything, seems to disappear.
Maybe he really did plan to stay home today. Maybe this morning means something.
Your heart clenches with the smallest trace of hope.
Jungkook lets out a long breath and shifts onto his back, stretching his arms above his head before blindly reaching for his phone on the nightstand. His warmth leaves your side, the air turning cold almost instantly.
You watch as his expression shifts, sleep slipping away as his screen lights up. His brows furrow, jaw tightening ever so slightly.
Then, with barely a glance in your direction, he mutters, "Shit, I need to get to the office."
The hope you held onto so desperately?
Gone.
You blink, your mind scrambling to catch up.
Maybe he's kidding. Maybe this is just one of his teasing games, the kind where he acts all nonchalant just to catch you off guard later. That’s how it used to be—him pretending to forget something important, only to turn around and surprise you in a way that left you breathless.
So you wait.
You wait for the smirk to tug at his lips, for him to toss his phone aside and pull you into his arms. You wait for him to kiss you insane, to murmur a husky "Happy anniversary, baby," against your skin.
You wait for him to prove you wrong.
But he doesn't.
Jungkook swings his legs over the bed, rubbing a hand down his face before standing up. He moves through the motions—grabbing a fresh shirt from the dresser, checking his notifications again, already half-immersed in whatever work emergency is pulling him away.
The realization settles in, slow and suffocating. He’s not playing. He’s not pretending. He really forgot.
And with that, the last flicker of hope inside you dies.
-------------------------
The sound of the bathroom door clicking shut barely registers in your mind. The faint rush of water follows soon after, but you’re still frozen in place, staring at the empty space where Jungkook was just moments ago.
Your fingers grip the sheets as you try to process it—try to make sense of the ache settling deep in your chest.
He forgot.
The thought circles endlessly, refusing to fade. It should be simple, just a mistake, an oversight, something easily fixed with an apology. But it doesn’t feel simple. It feels like another crack in something that’s already been fragile for weeks.
Your gaze drifts to your phone, the screen lighting up with messages from friends and family. Warm wishes, sweet texts—all reminders of the day that Jungkook should have been the first to acknowledge. And of course, they must have messaged him too.
But you know the answer before you even have to question it. Jungkook has two phones—one for work, one for personal use. And these days, his personal phone sits untouched, collecting dust somewhere in the house while his work phone never leaves his side.
Your throat tightens.
Even if someone did remind him, would he have even seen it? Would it have even mattered?
You swallow hard, blinking against the sudden sting in your eyes.
Maybe you should say something. Maybe you should remind him.
But a part of you—one that you don’t want to acknowledge—wonders if it even matters anymore.
You push yourself up from the bed, the weight in your chest making it harder than it should be. You don’t want to sit here, waiting—waiting for him to remember, waiting for an apology that might never come.
So you move. Just as you step toward the bathroom, the shower turns off. The door opens a moment later, steam curling into the cool morning air as Jungkook steps out, towel slung low around his waist, droplets of water trailing down his toned chest.
For a brief second, your eyes meet. He looks at you, blinking away the last remnants of sleep, his expression unreadable. There’s no sign of realization, no flicker of guilt or hesitation. Just the same tired, distracted gaze you’ve been seeing for weeks.
You say nothing. Instead, you walk past him, entering the washroom to go about your usual routine—brushing your teeth, washing your face, anything to avoid the tightness in your throat.
The sound of the sink running is the only thing filling the silence between you.
By the time you step out of the washroom, Jungkook is already dressed for work. His tie is slightly loosened, one hand adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves while the other holds his ever-present work phone. He looks like he’s in a hurry, but that isn’t surprising. He’s been having breakfast at the office for weeks now—always rushing out, always too busy.
Still, you can’t grasp that he’s actually forgotten.
Some part of you still expects him to pause, to turn around and say something. But he doesn’t. He’s focused on his screen, scanning through emails like today is just another ordinary morning.
Your chest tightens. You need to look away before the emotions creeping up inside you spill over. So, you pretend.
You settle at the table, opening your laptop like it’s just another workday. Since you’ve been working from home for the past couple of months, this isn’t unusual—but today, it’s not about work. It’s about avoiding him. About keeping your head down so he doesn’t see the way your hands tremble slightly.
If you act normal, maybe it’ll hurt less. Maybe you won’t break in front of him.
And maybe, just maybe, if you pretend hard enough, you can fool yourself into believing it doesn’t hurt at all.
“Baby, can you help me with the tie?”
His voice is smooth, familiar—like every other morning before this one. Like today isn’t supposed to mean more.
You hesitate for half a second before standing up, walking toward him. Your fingers move automatically, looping the fabric, tightening the knot, straightening it against his crisp shirt. You should pull away the moment you’re done, return to your seat, to your laptop, to pretending like everything is fine.
But just as you step back, Jungkook’s hand catches your wrist.
Before you can react, he tugs you closer, his warmth enveloping you as his large hand cups the side of your face, fingers splayed against your skin like he’s memorizing the feel of you. His touch is tender, his thumb tracing slow circles against your cheek, his dark eyes holding yours for a beat too long—like he’s seeing you, really seeing you, for the first time in days.
Then, he kisses you.
Slow, warm, lingering. Like he actually means it. Like he actually feels it.
“Need it for good luck,” he mumbles lovingly against your lips, his voice deep, hushed.
You blink up at him.
Jungkook pulls back slightly, offering a small smile. “Big deal with the Kims today.”
And just like that, reality crashes back in.
Your mind struggles to process, to understand how he can be like this—how he can kiss you like this and still not remember.
His mind is somewhere else. His thoughts, his focus—none of it is here. None of it is with you.
You force a smile, nodding wordlessly. Because what else is there to say?
------------------------
Jungkook moves around the house, gathering his things—his wallet, his keys. You stay where you are, settled on the couch with your laptop open, pretending to be busy, pretending that your heart isn’t sitting heavy in your chest.
Just as he’s about to leave, he steps toward you, bending down to press a quick kiss to your forehead.
“Love you,” he murmurs.
Before you can even respond, he’s already halfway through the living room, his focus elsewhere, his steps hurried.
A bitter chuckle escapes your lips before you can stop it.
You remember a time when things were different—when he used to whine, pout, and nudge you relentlessly if you didn’t say it back right away, just to tease him.
Flashback
The movie playing in the background had long been forgotten, the dialogue drowned out by the soft moans slipping from your lips. The purple neon glow cast dreamy hues across the living room, painting Jungkook’s skin in shades of violet as he moved above you.
His fingers laced tightly with yours, grip tightening slightly as his thrusts grew more desperate.
“J-Jungkook…” you moaned softly, nails digging into his hand.
He groaned against your neck, his breath hot, voice wrecked. “Fuck, baby…”
Your body arched beneath him, pleasure building to something uncontrollable. “I—I’m gonna—”
“Come for me, baby,” he urged, voice deep and rough, sending you tumbling over the edge.
You both unraveled together, gasping, shaking, holding onto each other like the world outside didn’t exist.
Jungkook pressed lazy, loving kisses all over your face, his lips brushing over your cheeks, your eyelids, the tip of your nose. “You alright?” he whispered.
You nodded, a sleepy, satisfied smile tugging at your lips. But then he just stared at you. A little too long. A little too intensely.
And then, barely above a whisper—like a secret meant only for you—he said, “I love you.”
Your eyes widened slightly, a playful grin tugging at the corner of your lips as you bit down on them, trying to contain your smile. He’d been saying it more often lately, slowly getting used to voicing what he felt.
But when you took a second too long to respond, he groaned dramatically, dropping his head into the crook of your neck like a kicked puppy.
“Say it back,” he grumbled.
“What?” you teased, laughing.
Jungkook huffed, then playfully bit down on your shoulder. Not hard—just enough to make you squeal.
“Say it,” he demanded, his voice muffled against your skin.
Still giggling, you cupped his face and pressed a soft kiss to his nose. “I love you, you big baby.”
His grin was instant, arms wrapping around you as he pulled you even closer, like he could never get enough.
End of Flashback
Now, he just says it in passing—quick, thoughtless, already moving on.
The front door clicks shut, and just like that, Jungkook is gone.
You sit there, fingers motionless on your laptop’s keyboard as the weight of what just happened settles deep in your chest. He forgot. He kissed you, held you, told you he loved you—but none of it was because he remembered.
Is this what your relationship has become?
Work, work, work. Always work.
It’s not that you expect Jungkook to run behind you all the time, to ditch his responsibilities just to shower you with affection. Hell, you supported him through everything—through college, through late nights chasing his dreams, through every stressful moment leading up to him becoming CEO. You believed in him.
But what about your love? Your marriage? Communication?
You’ve been patient. Too patient—more understanding than any normal wife would be. And you know Jungkook. You know he loves you, would bring you the whole damn world if you asked. But then why—why are you beginning to question it all?
Jungkook stepped into the CEO position a few months ago. At first, things were fine. He handled it well, still made time for you. But then… everything became about work. Slowly, then all at once.
You can’t even remember the last time you had truly loving sex. Not that Jungkook doesn’t love you—but it doesn’t feel the same anymore. There’s tension in his touch, frustration in the way he moves against you. It’s not the warmth, the desperation to be close to you like it used to be.
Is this how life is going to be from now on?
Sure, you could talk to Jungkook about your feelings. Tell him that the distance is starting to feel unbearable.
But when?
When he’s always checking his phone? When he barely even looks at you in the mornings? When you feel like you’re living with the CEO rather than your husband?
Well, happy anniversary to you.
------------------------
Your gaze drops to your hand, to the delicate band wrapped around your finger.
Your wedding ring.
For the first time in a long time, you really look at it—tracing the intricate details, the subtle shimmer in the morning light. And suddenly, it feels… heavier. Like you’re only noticing the weight of it now, as if it’s trying to remind you of everything it once meant.
Before you even realize what you’re doing, your fingers slip beneath the band, sliding it off. It’s only when the cool air brushes against your bare skin that it hits you.
Your breath catches, eyes widening at the sight of the ring resting in your palm. You hadn’t even thought about it—you just did it. And now, staring at the small, beautiful piece of jewelry, something inside you cracks. Tears gather before you can stop them.
Jungkook had spent weeks searching for this ring. Dragged you to countless jewelry stores, analyzing every cut, every design, obsessed with finding the perfect one. And no matter how many times you had told him that anything would make you happy, he had refused to settle for less.
"It has to be special," he had murmured against your temple the day he finally found it, slipping it onto your finger with the softest smile. "Because you’re special."
A broken sob escapes your throat as you clutch the ring tightly in your palm.
How did you end up here?
-----------------------
Jungkook leans back in his chair, exhaling slowly as he watches the final contract details appear on his screen. The deal with the Kims had gone smoothly—better than expected, actually. It should’ve been a moment of satisfaction, of relief.
Instead, he just drowns himself in more work.
The hours blur together, his coffee going cold beside him as he moves from one task to another. Another meeting. Another report. Another email. The same routine, the same cycle.
It’s later than evening when a familiar voice interrupts the quiet hum of his office.
“So you’re really here.”
Jungkook glances up, his fingers still typing as Taehyung steps into his cabin, arms crossed, a deep frown on his face.
“Hey, hyung,” Jungkook greets, barely looking away from his screen.
Taehyung scoffs, shaking his head playfully. “I really didn’t believe it when Yuna said you were still in your cabin.”
Jungkook blinks, confused. “Why?”
Taehyung gives him a look like he’s the biggest idiot in the world. “Y/N must really love you to let you work even today. My wife—dude, she would’ve killed me.”
Jungkook hums absentmindedly, still typing, still lost in work. “Mmm.”
Taehyung clicks his tongue, watching him for a second before letting out a chuckle. “Anyways, you’re still an asshole for working on your anniversary.”
Jungkook’s fingers freeze over the keyboard. The realization crashes into him all at once—like a punch to the gut, like ice spreading through his veins.
Fuck.
Jungkook’s fingers hover motionless over the keyboard.
His mind races to catch up with Taehyung’s words, but they don’t make sense—not right away.
Anniversary?
No, that can’t be right. His brows furrow slightly as he glances at the date on his laptop screen.
November 22.
His wedding anniversary.
For a second, he just stares, as if the numbers might shift into something else, something that doesn’t prove what an absolute idiot he’s been. His heartbeat picks up, but his body doesn’t move. It’s like his brain refuses to register it fully, like if he doesn’t react, it won’t be real.
He’d forgotten.
Completely.
No hints, no reminders, no last-minute realization before heading out this morning. Just an entire day of emails, meetings, and a deal he had been so damn focused on that he hadn’t even spared a single thought for you.
His wife.
But—no, that can’t be right. He would’ve remembered. He should’ve remembered.
His jaw tightens, his mind scrambling for some excuse, some reason—anything—to justify how this happened. But no matter how many ways he tries to twist it, the truth doesn’t change.
You had expected something. Of course you had. And Jungkook had given you nothing.
Taehyung’s voice barely registers now, his casual teasing just background noise to the way Jungkook’s pulse is starting to hammer against his ribs.
His wife. His love. His anniversary.
And he had let it pass him by like it was just another day.
How the fuck is he supposed to fix this?
Taehyung squints at Jungkook, waiting for some kind of reaction—any reaction. When Jungkook stays quiet, his fingers frozen over the keyboard, Taehyung lets out a sharp laugh.
“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me.” He leans forward, palms flat on Jungkook’s desk. “You just realized, didn’t you?”
Jungkook inhales deeply through his nose, his jaw tightening. “Hyung, not now.”
“Oh, no. Especially now,” Taehyung shoots back, shaking his head. “Damn, man. Y/N must really love you to put up with this shit.”
Jungkook doesn’t reply, his mind already spiraling. He checks the time—late. The entire day is gone. He’s spent hours sitting here, drowning himself in work while you—
Fuck.
He pushes his chair back abruptly, grabbing his phone and shoving it into his pocket. His coat is next, yanked from the back of his chair as he moves on instinct.
“Whoa, whoa.” Taehyung raises an eyebrow. “So now you care?”
Jungkook levels him with a glare, his voice lower, sharper. “Hyung.”
Taehyung lifts his hands in surrender, though his smirk lingers. “Go. Try not to get divorced on your second anniversary.”
Jungkook doesn’t wait for another word. He’s already out the door, moving faster than he has all day.
And for the first time today, work is the last thing on his mind.
-----------------------
Jungkook’s mind races as he grips the steering wheel, his fingers tightening with every passing second. The city lights blur past, but all he can focus on is the suffocating weight in his chest.
How the fuck did he forget?
His phone vibrates in the passenger seat—probably another work email—but for the first time in months, he ignores it. Instead, he swipes through his contacts, pressing the first name that comes to mind.
“Pick up, pick up,” he mutters, jaw clenched as the dial tone rings.
“Yes, Mr.Jeon?”
“Yuna.” His voice is rushed, urgent. “I need you to get me something. Flowers. A gift. Something big—just—fuck, anything.”
A pause. “Sir?”
“Now,” he snaps.
There’s a shuffle on the other end before his assistant hesitantly speaks again. “I…Mr.Jeon, it’s almost 10 p.m. Most places are closed.”
Jungkook exhales sharply, raking a hand through his hair. Of course they are. Because he’s too fucking late.
His grip tightens around the wheel. “Just—check. Call whoever. I’ll pay whatever.”
“Understood,” Yuna replies before hanging up.
What the fuck is he even doing?
No expensive gift, no overpriced bouquet, no last-minute grand gesture can erase the fact that he forgot. That he spent an entire day drowning in work while you—his wife, his love, the woman who has stood by him through everything—sat at home, waiting for him to remember.
His hands clench the wheel.
How much had he missed? How much had he ignored?
And the worst part—the part that makes his pulse spike, that has panic clawing at his ribs—is the question he doesn’t have an answer to.
What if you’re done waiting?
Jungkook slams his foot down on the gas.
He’s not losing you. He won’t.
------------------------
Jungkook steps into the house, and immediately, something feels off. The air is still. The silence stretches, suffocating, pressing against his chest. Almost all the lights are off, the space eerily empty, like no one has been here for hours.
His throat dries. “Baby?”
No answer.
He frowns, dropping his keys onto the counter with a sharp clink. His feet move quickly, checking the kitchen, the living room, even the hallway leading to the bedroom—nothing.
A weird feeling starts creeping up his spine. His heart beats faster as he strides toward the bedroom door, pushing it open—only to find the bed untouched, the sheets exactly the way he had left them this morning.
You’re not here.
His pulse spikes, a cold sweat forming at the base of his neck. His hands tremble as he yanks his phone out, immediately dialing your number.
One ring.
Two rings.
Three.
Straight to voicemail.
His stomach drops. A shaky breath escapes him as he stares at his screen, the call log mocking him with the lack of response. His fingers tighten around the device, his mind spiraling.
Where are you? At this time of night—alone—where could you have gone?
The walls feel like they’re closing in on him. His lungs strain for air.
Then, another thought claws its way in, violent and unwelcome.
Did you leave?
No. No. His chest tightens, his breath coming faster now. That’s not—that’s not possible. You wouldn’t just leave him. You wouldn’t—
He swallows hard, shaking his head. Don’t go there, Jungkook. Don’t even fucking go there.
But the panic is already curling around his ribs, suffocating, unrelenting.
You’re not here. And right now, that is the worst fucking thing in the world.
Jungkook’s fingers tremble as he redials your number.
Voicemail. Again.
“Fuck.” His breath comes out uneven, panic clawing at his throat. His hands are clammy, his chest tightening with every passing second. Where are you?
His mind is spiraling now, every worst-case scenario flashing through his head. His jaw clenches as he swipes to his contact list calling your friends.
Each time, the same response.
No, I haven’t seen her.
Did you check with—
Wait, what’s going on?
Jungkook grits his teeth, his hand tightening into a fist. His breathing is shallow, his pulse out of control. You weren’t with your friends. You weren’t picking up. You weren’t home.
And he still had no idea where you were.
Jungkook grabs his car keys with shaky hands, his mind racing. He doesn’t know where to go, doesn’t have a plan—all he knows is that he has to find you.
His feet move on instinct, carrying him toward the door. But just as he reaches for the handle, something catches his eye.
A small glint.
His breath stills. His gaze shifts toward the couch, and that’s when he sees it.
Your wedding ring.
Sitting there. Abandoned.
For a moment, everything stops. The pounding in his chest, the rush of his movements—everything.
The air in the room feels heavier, suffocating. His fingers twitch at his sides as he stares at the delicate band, his stomach twisting into something painful.
You never took it off. Never.
Jungkook swallows, his throat suddenly dry. He steps forward, slowly, almost cautiously, like touching it will somehow make this nightmare real.
His hand trembles as he picks it up, the cool metal pressing into his palm..
Jungkook stares at the ring in his palm, his vision blurring as a lump lodges itself in his throat. Tears burn at the corners of his eyes, his chest tightening painfully.
You wouldn’t just leave him like that… would you?
The thought alone knocks the air from his lungs. His grip on the ring tightens as his mind spirals, drowning in questions that only make the ache worse.
Were you thinking about this before today?
How long have you been feeling like this—so alone, so unloved—that taking off your ring even crossed your mind?
A sharp breath escapes him, shaky and uneven. His knees buckle, and before he can stop himself, he’s sinking onto the floor, the weight of everything crashing down at once.
The ring feels heavier than it should, pressing into his palm like a cruel reminder of everything he’s neglected, everything he’s taken for granted. He squeezes his eyes shut, exhaling a slow, trembling breath.
He needs to find you. He needs to fix this.
Before it’s too late.
Jungkook exhales shakily, forcing himself to move. His legs feel unsteady, but he pushes through, gripping the wedding ring so tightly it bites into his skin.
Somehow, he manages to stand, his entire body tense with desperation. He stumbles toward the door, his heart pounding, his mind racing with every possibility of where you could be.
But just as his fingers reach for the handle—
The door swings open.
And there you are.
Jungkook freezes, his breath catching in his throat. For a split second, everything stills—his panic, his thoughts, his entire world narrowing to the sight of you standing in front of him.
Then, in the blink of an eye, he moves.
He crashes into you, arms wrapping around you so tightly it nearly knocks the air from your lungs. His grip is desperate, his hands fisting into your clothes, his entire body pressing against yours like he’s afraid you’ll disappear.
You stand there, stunned, your own arms hovering slightly, unsure of what just happened.
"…Jungkook?” your voice comes out confused, hesitant.
But he just clings to you, burying his face into your neck, his breath warm and uneven against your skin.
You don’t know what’s going on.
But Jungkook?
He feels like he just got his heart beating again. You feel it before you hear it—the way his body trembles against yours, his grip impossibly tight, like he’s holding onto you for dear life.
Then, the sound reaches you. A broken, uneven breath, followed by the unmistakable hitch of a sob.
Your heart clenches. “Kook…” Your voice is soft, laced with worry as you try to pull back, just enough to see his face. But he doesn’t let you. His arms only tighten, his body curling into yours, as if letting go would physically hurt him.
Panic bubbles in your chest, your hands instinctively reaching up to cradle his face, your fingers threading into his hair. “Hey… what happened?” Your voice wavers slightly. “Are you okay? You’re scaring me.”
But Jungkook just shakes his head against your shoulder, another quiet, shaky breath leaving him.
You don’t understand.
But whatever this is—whatever’s breaking him like this—your own heart aches just watching him fall apart. Your concern deepens with every shaky breath that leaves Jungkook. He’s still clinging to you, his body trembling slightly, his face buried against your shoulder like he’s afraid to let go.
You don’t know what’s wrong, but seeing him like this—Jungkook, your Jungkook—completely unraveling, is enough to make panic rise in your chest.
Gently, you pull back, your hands cupping his face. His skin is warm, slightly damp from his tears, and when his glassy eyes finally meet yours, your stomach twists painfully.
“Come inside,” you whisper, your voice softer now, coaxing. “Please.”
He swallows thickly, nodding ever so slightly, but his grip on you doesn’t fully loosen. You guide him inside anyway, one hand wrapped around his wrist as you lead him toward the couch.
He sits down heavily, elbows resting on his knees, fingers threading through his hair as he exhales shakily. His shoulders are still tense, his whole body radiating something raw and unspoken.
You kneel in front of him, reaching for his hands, but he doesn’t lift his head.
Your worry deepens. “Jungkook… please tell me what’s wrong.” Silence stretches between you, heavy and suffocating. His fingers twitch against his temples, his breath uneven.
“I—” His voice is hoarse, cracking slightly. He swallows hard, gripping his knees. “I thought you left me.”
You blink, his words settling in, but it takes you a moment to fully process them.
He thought you left him?
Your brows furrow slightly as you shake your head. “Jungkook, I was babysitting Hanuel.”
His breath is still uneven, his hands gripping his knees like he’s trying to ground himself. His eyes flick up to meet yours, confused, searching.
“Hana and Seokjin had a date night,” you explain gently. “They asked me to watch him for a few hours.”
Hanuel, your neighbour's son. Jungkook stares at you, his body still tense, like his mind hasn’t caught up yet. You watch as his lips part slightly, his gaze flickering between you and the ring still clutched in his hand.
His fingers tighten around it, his knuckles paling. A beat of silence passes before he swallows thickly, his voice barely above a whisper.
“…Then why was this on the couch?”
The question hangs heavy in the air, fragile and uncertain, as if he’s afraid of the answer. And for the first time tonight, you don’t know what to say.
“I…” The word barely escapes your lips before you stand up, turning away from him. You can’t meet his eyes—not when your emotions are still raw, not when the weight of everything is pressing so heavily on your chest.
Jungkook notices immediately. Panic flickers across his face, and in an instant, he’s scrambling up after you. “Wait—baby, please.” His voice is desperate now, thick with emotion, his hands reaching out like he’s afraid you’ll slip through his fingers.
“I’m sorry,” he breathes, stepping closer, his tone cracking under the weight of his own guilt. “I—fuck, I forgot—I don’t know how, I don’t even have an excuse, but—” He exhales sharply, shaking his head, his eyes glassy as they plead with yours.
“I never meant to make you feel like this,” he whispers. “I swear, I didn’t.” But you still don’t look at him. And that alone is enough to make his heart sink.
You swallow hard, your arms wrapping around yourself as you stare at the floor. His words, his desperation, his guilt—they all swirl around you, but they don’t erase the ache in your chest.
“Do you even realize how much this hurt?” Your voice is quiet, but the weight of it makes Jungkook flinch. “I spent the entire day thinking—hoping—that maybe you had something planned. That maybe you were just pretending to forget.”
Jungkook’s throat bobs as he steps closer, hesitating before reaching for your hand. You don’t pull away, but you don’t hold onto him either.
“I know,” he whispers. “I know I fucked up, baby. I—I was so caught up in work, I just…” He trails off, running a frustrated hand through his hair. “That’s not an excuse. Nothing is. I should’ve remembered. I should’ve been there.”
You let out a hollow laugh, finally lifting your gaze to meet his. “Jungkook… this isn’t just about today.”
His brows furrow, but he doesn’t interrupt.
You take a shaky breath. “It’s been weeks—maybe even longer—since I felt like your wife instead of just… someone waiting for you to come home.” Your voice wavers, but you push through. “And it’s not that I don’t understand. I do. I’ve always understood. But at what point do I stop being understanding and start being invisible to you?”
Jungkook’s breath catches, his grip on your hand tightening like he’s afraid to let go. “You’re not invisible,” he says, voice thick with emotion. “You never could be.”
“Then why do I feel like I am?”
Silence.
Jungkook shakes his head, his jaw clenching as he exhales unsteadily. “I never wanted to make you feel this way,” he murmurs. “You are everything to me, baby. Everything. I don’t even know who I am without you.”
Your eyes sting, but you force yourself to hold his gaze. “Then show me, Jungkook. Because I can’t keep being the only one fighting for us.” The vulnerability in your voice nearly breaks him.
He’s been losing you, piece by piece, for a while now. And he hadn’t even noticed.
Jungkook feels his stomach drop, the weight of your words hitting harder than any argument, any fight you could have thrown at him. His grip on your hand tightens, but you don’t squeeze back.
He’s losing you.
And it’s not because of one forgotten anniversary—it’s because he hasn’t been here.
He swallows hard. “Baby…” His voice cracks, his free hand reaching up to cup your cheek, but you step back before he can touch you.
The distance, however small, is enough to make his chest ache.
“Tell me, Jungkook,” you whisper, your voice barely holding together. “When was the last time we sat down and had breakfast together? When was the last time you really looked at me—not just kissed me on the forehead before rushing out the door?” You shake your head, a bitter chuckle escaping. “When was the last time we made love without it feeling like you were trying to release your stress instead of loving me?”
Jungkook’s breath hitches.
You let out a slow exhale, your voice calmer now but even heavier with hurt. “I don’t need grand gestures. I don’t need fancy gifts or a picture-perfect romance. I just… needed you to see me.”
His entire body feels cold. Because the truth is—he doesn’t have an answer.
He’s been so caught up in his responsibilities, his work, his stress, that he’s let the one person who has always been there for him slip through his fingers.
And the worst part? He didn’t even realize it was happening until now.
“Fuck.” His voice is raw, his hands running through his hair as he looks at you—really looks at you. At the exhaustion in your eyes, the way your lips tremble slightly like you’re holding back everything.
His heart clenches painfully. “I fucked up, didn’t I?”
You don’t answer right away. Instead, you hold his gaze for a long moment before whispering, “I don’t know, Jungkook. Did you?”
Jungkook's breath is unsteady, his chest rising and falling too quickly as he stares at you—at the distance between you, the weight of your words suffocating him.
He moves. Before you can react, his hands are cupping your face, his touch desperate, almost shaky. His forehead presses against yours as he exhales a trembling breath, like he’s trying to hold himself together.
“I see you,” he whispers, his voice raw, strained. “I swear to god, I see you, baby. I just—I lost myself somewhere along the way, and I didn’t even realize I was dragging us down with me.”
His thumbs brush over your cheekbones, a silent plea laced in his touch. “I don’t want to lose you. I can’t lose you.”
Your heart clenches, but you don’t push him away. You should—you should make him sit with this, make him feel what it’s been like for you all this time. But then his grip tightens, his voice breaking.
“Please, baby.” His lips hover just above yours, not quite touching, his breath warm against your skin. “Tell me it’s not too late.”
His vulnerability shakes you to your core.
You close your eyes, inhaling deeply, trying to steady yourself. “I don’t want to lose us either, Jungkook,” you whisper. “But I can’t keep being the only one holding on.”
Jungkook shakes his head instantly. “You’re not. You won’t be.” His lips ghost over your forehead before he pulls back just enough to meet your eyes. “Let me prove it to you. Please.”
His desperation is tangible, seeping into every word, every touch. And for the first time tonight, you wonder if maybe—just maybe—he really does see you now.
Jungkook watches you, searching for something—anything—in your eyes that tells him he hasn’t completely lost you.
Before doubt can settle in, he takes your hand, pressing it over his chest, right where his heart is hammering wildly. “Feel that?” he whispers. “That’s what you do to me, baby. Always.”
Your fingers twitch against his shirt, but you don’t pull away. You don’t move at all, just staring up at him, your expression unreadable.
He swallows hard. “I know I don’t say it enough. I know I don’t show it enough, but fuck, Y/n—” His hands tighten around yours, his voice barely above a breath. “There is nothing in this world that matters more to me than you.”
You let out a slow exhale, your gaze flickering, like you want to believe him—like a part of you does, but the hurt is still too fresh. So he gives you more.
“I’ll fix this,” he promises, his thumb brushing soft circles over your wrist. “Not with flowers, or gifts, or some last-minute bullshit—but with me. With us.”
His voice drops lower, thick with emotion. “Just tell me it’s not too late.” Your lips part slightly, but you don’t speak. Instead, you finally—finally—press your palm flat against his chest, feeling the way his heart beats erratically beneath your touch.
It’s enough to break something inside Jungkook. His grip tightens as he leans in, his lips brushing against your temple, then your cheek—soft, slow, hesitant, as if he’s still afraid you’ll slip away.
And when you don’t—when you let him—he exhales a shaky breath, his forehead resting against yours once more.
“I love you,” he whispers. “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
Like if he says it enough, he can make up for all the times he didn’t. And maybe—just maybe—you’ll believe him again.
Jungkook’s breath is warm against your skin, his forehead still pressed against yours, his grip on you unwavering. His words linger in the air between you—raw, desperate, filled with a love that had always been there, even when he’d failed to show it.
You swallow hard, blinking against the tears clouding your vision. He’s waiting—watching you so intently, so hopelessly, as if your next words will either put him back together or completely shatter him.
You take a shaky breath. “Jungkook…” Your voice wavers, and his grip tightens instinctively. “I love you too.”
A sharp exhale leaves him, his entire body sinking slightly in relief. But before he can say anything, you continue. “But this hurt,” you whisper. “More than you realize.”
Jungkook stiffens, nodding quickly, his hands cupping your face again, his thumbs brushing away the tears that slip down your cheeks. “I know, baby. I know. And I hate myself for it.” His voice cracks, his jaw clenching before he presses a lingering kiss to your forehead.
You let your eyes flutter shut for a second, exhaling slowly. “I don’t want promises, Jungkook,” you murmur. “I just… I need to feel like I matter to you again.”
His hands tremble slightly as they slide down, wrapping around yours. He lifts them to his lips, pressing gentle, reverent kisses to each of your knuckles, his dark eyes never leaving yours.
“You do,” he whispers. “More than anything. And I’m going to spend every damn day proving that to you.” His voice is steady now—no hesitation, no doubt. Just quiet, determined love. And though the ache in your chest hasn’t fully faded, something shifts.
Because this time, you don’t just hear him. You believe him. Even if just a little.
Jungkook presses another lingering kiss against your knuckles, his touch reverent, as if grounding himself in you. But before he can lose himself completely, you gently murmur, “Have you eaten?”
The thought hadn’t even crossed his mind. He shakes his head, gaze still searching yours. “No… I—"
“Go freshen up,” you say softly, stepping back just a little. “We’ll eat together.”
His fingers twitch against yours, hesitating to let go, but eventually, he nods. With one last glance—like he’s making sure you’re really here—he pulls away and heads toward the shower.
While he’s gone, you move to the kitchen, setting out dinner in quiet contemplation. The ache in your chest hasn’t completely faded, but there’s something else now—a warmth that wasn’t there before.
------------------------
By the time Jungkook emerges, hair damp, dressed in a fresh t-shirt and sweatpants, you’ve already placed the food on the table.
He hesitates for only a second before joining you, sliding into his chair. “Thank you,” he murmurs, voice softer now.
You nod, offering a small smile as you take a seat. The conversation is light—simple, effortless. Jungkook fills the silence, stealing glances at you like he’s still memorizing you all over again. And through it all, his hand never leaves yours, his thumb rubbing slow, soothing circles against your skin.
After dinner, he helps with the dishes, working beside you in quiet understanding. The air between you feels lighter, yet still fragile—like something delicate being pieced back together.
Jungkook sets the last dish onto the drying rack, wiping his hands on the towel before turning to you. There’s a soft, almost hopeful look in his eyes—like he’s clinging to this moment, to the quiet togetherness you’ve shared over dinner.
You step away, hesitating for just a second before opening the refrigerator. Jungkook watches in silence as you carefully pull out the cake, placing on the counter, your fingers grazing the edges of the plate, before finally speaking.
“I…I’d made this.”
The words are quiet, but they hit harder than any raised voice ever could. Jungkook’s entire body stiffening as guilt crashes into him all over again. His eyes flicker to the cake—to the careful details, the effort, the thought you had put into it, for him—and suddenly, it feels like the walls are caving in.
His throat tightens. His fingers curl at his sides. He can’t look at you. He doesn’t deserve to. Tears gather in his eyes, blurring his vision, his heart breaking all over again—not just because he forgot today, but because he had broken you in so many ways without even realizing it.
And that? That’s something he doesn’t know how to forgive himself for.
“Jungkook..”, your voice is soft—barely above a whisper—but it cuts through the heavy silence like a knife.
He wants to look at you, wants to say something—anything—but he can’t. His head remains bowed, his hands gripping the edge of the counter, as if holding himself together takes everything in him.
You take a small step forward, the space between you feeling larger than it actually is. His silence is deafening.
“Jungkook,” you say again, a little firmer this time.
His lips part, a shaky breath slipping through, but no words come out. He wants to speak—to apologize again, to tell you how much he loves you, to somehow fix this—but his throat feels tight, his chest heavy.
He doesn’t know if words are enough.
“I… I’m so fucking sorry, baby,” Jungkook chokes out, his voice trembling as he finally speaks. His hands shake at his sides, his eyes still glassy with unshed tears. “I’ve been an asshole—a terrible husband. I don’t even know how to make this right.” His breath stutters, his words spilling out faster now, raw and desperate.
“I wouldn’t even be surprised if you left me,” he continues, shaking his head. “You should’ve. You deserve better. I—I can’t believe I—”
“Jungkook.”
You don’t let him finish.
Instead, you reach up, cupping his face with both hands, your thumbs brushing away the tears that have already begun to fall. His lips part in surprise, his rambling cut off as you rise onto your toes.
A gentle kiss on his lips.
Soft. Loving.
Tear-streaked and real.
Jungkook exhales shakily against your lips, his whole body melting into yours. His hands find your waist, holding onto you like you’re the only thing keeping him upright.
The kiss is slow—no desperation, no urgency—just you and him, emotions raw and bare. Tears continue to slip down your cheeks, mixing with his, salty and warm, but neither of you pull away. Because in this moment, there’s no need for words.
Just this.
Just love.
When you finally pull away, your forehead rests against his, both of you breathing heavily, your tears still wet against each other’s skin. Jungkook’s grip on your waist is firm, like he’s grounding himself in your touch, afraid to let go. His lips part, like he wants to speak, but before he can, you whisper,
“You’re not a terrible husband, Jungkook.”
Jungkook’s eyes glisten with more unshed tears, his lips pressing into a thin line, unable to speak. You wipe his tears away with your thumbs, offering him the smallest smile. “Just… love me better, okay?”
His throat bobs as he swallows hard, nodding again, more determined this time. “I will.” His voice is barely above a whisper, but you believe him.
You press one last gentle kiss to his cheek before stepping back, glancing at the cake still sitting on the counter. “Come on,” you say, nudging him lightly. “Let’s cut this before it melts.”
Jungkook lets out a breathy chuckle, wiping at his face as he nods. He steps beside you, his hand instinctively finding yours again as you both move toward the small cake. The two of you cut into it together, Jungkook’s fingers lacing through yours around the knife handle. He doesn’t let go, even as you both take small bites in comfortable silence.
Once the plates are cleared, you tug at his wrist, nodding toward the bedroom. “Come to bed?”
Jungkook exhales, relief washing over his features as he nods. “Yeah.”
A few minutes later, you’re both under the covers, warmth surrounding you as Jungkook pulls you against his chest. His arms wrap tightly around you, his breath fanning against the top of your head as he whispers,
“I love you.”
This time, you don’t hesitate to say it back.
“I love you too, Jungkook.”
And for the first time in weeks, you fall asleep in his arms, where you’ve always belonged.
Jungkook’s fingers still tremble against your skin. Even as he holds you, his grip is laced with hesitance, a silent fear lingering beneath the warmth of his touch. It’s in the way his hands press into your back yet remain careful, as if he’s afraid of holding on too tightly.
You can feel the erratic thud of his heart beneath your palm, his breaths uneven, his chest rising and falling as if he’s struggling to keep himself steady.
And something about that—about him—makes your own heart ache.
Slowly, you lift your head from his chest, your eyes locking onto his in the dim glow of the room. His lips part slightly, his gaze unreadable, but the moment you lean in, his breath catches.
You kiss him.
It starts soft—gentle, longing, filled with everything you can’t put into words.
Jungkook melts into it instantly, his grip on you tightening, pulling you impossibly closer. The warmth of his lips, the slight hitch in his breath when you press harder—it sends a familiar heat curling through you.
The kiss deepens, your fingers gripping his t-shirt with urgency, needing to feel more. It’s desperate, heady, the space between you charged with something deeper than just want—something raw, something that had been missing for too long.
Jungkook pulls back gently. His forehead stays pressed against yours, both of you panting softly, but his hands shake slightly as they hold you in place.
His lips part, his breath uneven. “I… we shouldn’t…” He swallows hard, voice thick with hesitation. “I mean… I don’t want you to think I’m gonna fix this with sex.”
His words cut through the haze of warmth between you, grounding you both back in reality. You understand. Because even now—even now—he’s afraid. Afraid that this isn’t enough. Afraid that he isn’t enough.
Your eyes soften as you take in his hesitance, the uncertainty in his gaze, the way his breath trembles against your skin.
You reach up, your fingers threading gently through his hair, grounding him. “I’m never gonna think like that, Kook,” you murmur, your voice quiet but sure.
His lips part slightly, his brows still knitted in concern, but before he can say anything, you lean in again. This time, the kiss is slower—softer—filled with nothing but love.
You linger for a moment, your lips brushing against his as you whisper, “I just… I need you.” Another soft kiss. “Please.”
Jungkook exhales sharply, his entire body shuddering under the weight of your words.
And just like that, whatever hesitation he had left—it’s gone.
Your breaths grow uneven as your lips move against his, the heat between you intensifying with every passing second.
Jungkook shifts, his body hovering over yours, his weight pressing down just enough to make you feel him. His hands slip beneath the oversized t-shirt you’re wearing, his touch still hesitant, fingertips ghosting over your waist like he’s memorizing the feel of you all over again.
But you don’t want hesitation.
You tug at his shirt, a silent plea, and Jungkook obeys without question, pulling it over his head and tossing it aside. Before he can think, you pull him back in, capturing his lips in another deep, hungry kiss.
A quiet groan escapes him, his hands finally exploring freely, pressing against your skin, feeling the warmth beneath his palms. His lips leave yours only to trail down your neck, his breath warm as he presses soft, lingering kisses there.
You shiver when he reaches the collar of your shirt, your own hands moving to help him remove it. Dark, love-filled eyes roam over every inch of your skin, his lips parting slightly, as if he’s trying to find the words—but nothing he could say would ever be enough. Still, he tries.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmurs, voice thick with awe. “So fucking perfect.”
Your breath catches when he lowers himself again, his lips planting soft, reverent kisses along your collarbone, trailing lower—over your shoulder, your chest—his mouth mapping you like you’re something sacred.
His lips slowly wrap around one breast, his tongue flicking teasingly before sucking softly. A moan escapes you, your fingers tangling into his hair, tugging lightly as he hums against your skin. His other hand moves to your neglected breast, his thumb brushing over the sensitive peak as he keeps mouthing sweet nothings against you.
“You’re everything,” he whispers between kisses, his voice muffled against your skin. “I love you so much, baby.”
And as the heat between you builds, his touch grows bolder. A desperate whimper escapes your lips as your fingers tangle deeper into Jungkook’s hair, your body arching toward him, silently pleading for more.
He groans against your skin, the sound low and warm, vibrating through you. “Patience, baby,” he murmurs, pressing another lingering kiss to your chest before trailing lower, his lips tracing the curves of your body. “Let me take my time… let me make love to you.”
The way he says it—love—makes your stomach tighten, your heart aching as much as your body craves him. His hands glide down your waist, slow and purposeful, before slipping between your legs. His fingers find the damp fabric of your panties, pressing just lightly enough to make you gasp. Your hips lift instinctively, chasing his touch, and Jungkook groans at the feeling.
His dark eyes meet yours, silently asking for permission. You nod, unable to form words, and that’s all he needs.
Hooking his fingers into the waistband, he tugs your panties down, dragging them slowly along your legs before discarding them somewhere behind him. His gaze never leaves you as he lowers himself further, trailing kisses down your stomach, over the sensitive skin of your hips.
He settles between your legs. You feel completely bare under his intense gaze, the way his lips part slightly, his eyes darkening as he drinks you in.
“So fucking beautiful,” he murmurs, his voice filled with something reverent, something devoted. His hands spread your thighs wider, his thumbs brushing along your skin in slow, soothing circles.
“My wife.”
The words send a shiver down your spine, making your core clench in anticipation.
Finally, he closes his mouth around you. One long, slow stroke of his tongue, and you fall apart instantly, a breathless moan slipping from your lips as your head tilts back against the pillows.
Jungkook hums against you, pleased, his hands gripping your thighs as he licks another slow, teasing stripe through your folds. “So fucking sweet,” he groans, the heat of his breath against your slick skin making your body tremble. “Gonna make you feel so good, baby.”
He isn't just making love, he's devouring you.
Jungkook hums against you, the vibration sending a shockwave of pleasure up your spine. His hands grip your thighs, holding you open as his tongue moves with slow, deliberate strokes—learning you all over again, savoring every little gasp and shudder that escapes you.
“Jungkook—” Your voice is breathless, almost pleading, your fingers tightening in his hair, tugging him closer.
He groans at that, the sound reverberating through your core as he laps at you with more purpose. His tongue flicks over your clit, teasing, testing, before he sucks gently, making your back arch off the bed.
“Fuck—” You whimper, your thighs threatening to close around his head, but his strong hands keep you spread wide, completely at his mercy.
His lips brushing your sensitive skin as he pulls back just enough to look up at you. His lips are slick, his dark eyes burning with desire.
Your cheeks burn, he dives back in, this time with more urgency. His tongue moves in tight circles, alternating between slow, teasing strokes and deeper, firmer licks that have your breath hitching.
One hand slides up your stomach, fingers splaying across your skin before reaching your breast, rolling a nipple between his fingers. The combined sensation makes your thighs tremble, a moan tearing from your lips as your hips buck against his mouth.
Jungkook groans, clearly enjoying how responsive you are, his grip on you tightening as he eats you out like it’s his last meal. He flicks his tongue over your clit again, then sucks, harder this time, sending sparks shooting through your body.
“-fuck, Jungkook—” Your head tilts back, eyes squeezing shut as the pleasure builds, coiling tight in your stomach.
He pulls back just enough to murmur against you, “You gonna cum for me, baby?”
The heat inside you is unbearable now, hot and consuming. You nod desperately, your moans spilling freely as you grip his hair, your body teetering on the edge. Jungkook doesn’t stop. He pushes you closer, his mouth working you over with expert precision, his hands holding you steady as your body starts to tremble.
“Come for me, baby,” he whispers against your heat. “Let me taste you.”
And with one final flick of his tongue, you shatter—Pleasure crashes over you, your back arching, thighs trembling as you moan his name like a prayer. Jungkook groans, drinking in everything you give him, his hands stroking your body as he helps you ride it out.
Only when your body goes slack does he finally pull away, pressing soft kisses against your inner thighs, his voice thick with pride and adoration. “You’re so perfect,” he breathes between kisses, his voice thick with adoration. “My love. My wife.”
Jungkook moves up, trailing kisses along your body—over your stomach, your ribs, your collarbone—When he reaches your lips, he captures them in a deep, languid kiss, his hands cradling your face like you’re something fragile, something cherished.
Your fingers roam over his chest, tracing the lines of his muscles before moving lower, brushing over his abdomen until you reach the hardness straining against his sweats.
A groan rumbles from his chest at your touch, his hips twitching into your palm as you cup him, feeling just how ready he is.
“Baby…” he breathes against your lips, voice thick with want. You tug at the waistband of his pants, wordlessly asking for more. Jungkook obliges, sitting back just enough to push them down, kicking them off entirely.
He’s fully hard, the sight of him making your stomach tighten, heat pooling between your legs again. But before you can do anything, before you can even reach for him Jungkook takes your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours. The intimacy of it overwhelming.
His other hand moves between your bodies, guiding himself to your entrance, his eyes locked on yours, searching, making sure—
With a final nod from you, he pushes in, slow and careful, stretching you inch by inch.
A soft moan escapes your lips, but Jungkook kisses you instantly, swallowing the sound, his own groan muffled against your mouth as he sinks deeper. The moment he’s fully inside, he stills, pressing his forehead to yours, breathing you in. And as he holds you close, as your bodies mold together so seamlessly, you realize—
This isn’t just sex.
This is home.
Jungkook moves slowly, each roll of his hips deep and deliberate, as if he’s trying to make up for every moment he let slip away. His body is pressed flush against yours, warmth seeping into every inch of your skin, his breath shaky against your lips as he kisses you between each movement.
Your fingers dig softly into his back, nails pressing just enough to ground yourself in the overwhelming sensation of him. One hand moves to his hair, your fingers threading through the strands, tugging gently as his lips travel from your mouth to your jaw, down your neck, planting soft, lingering kisses that make your heart ache.
It’s slow, it’s deep—it’s love.
And then, suddenly, you feel it.
A faint tremble against your body.
Something warm and wet against your neck where Jungkook has buried his face.
Your breath catches as realization dawns—he’s crying. Tears gather in your own eyes without warning, the sheer weight of the moment crashing over you all at once.
You tighten your hold on him, your arms wrapping around his shoulders as you press a soft kiss into his hair. “Kook…” you whisper, your voice barely holding steady.
He shudders at your touch, at the way you hold him, like you’re not just letting him fall apart—but falling apart with him.
“I—” His voice cracks as he exhales shakily, his thrusts faltering for a moment. “I’m so sorry, baby.” His lips find your shoulder, his breath warm against your skin as he presses kisses there—apology after apology, praise after praise.
“You’re everything to me,” he murmurs between kisses, his words thick with emotion. “You always have been.” A tear slips down your cheek as you cup his face, guiding him up until his forehead rests against yours.
“I know,” you whisper, voice trembling. “I know, Jungkook.”
His lips crash against yours again, the kiss slow and deep, his movements resuming—gentle but full of something raw, something unspoken. His hands grip your waist tighter, his body moving in perfect sync with yours, as if this moment is rewriting everything.
“I’ve got you,” you whisper, voice laced with love. “I’ll always have you.”
Jungkook shudders, gripping you tighter, his lips pressing against your shoulder, his movements slowing but never stopping. You can feel the love in every touch, every kiss, every whispered breath against your skin.
And when the pleasure builds to its peak, you come undone together, your bodies melting into one as waves of warmth crash over you. His name spills from your lips, his deep groan following right after, his arms holding you so tight you swear he never plans on letting go.
Silence lingers, only the sound of heavy breathing filling the space. Then, Jungkook shifts, lifting his head just enough to press the softest kiss to your lips.
“I love you,” he murmurs, voice hoarse but full of devotion. “I don’t deserve you… but I swear, I’ll spend my life proving that I do.”
You cup his face, your thumb brushing away the remnants of dried tears. “Just love me like this, Jungkook,” you whisper, voice steady. “That’s all I need.”
His hands tightening around you as his forehead presses against yours. “I’ll love you more,” he vows, his voice breaking slightly. “More than this, more than anything. Always.” His words settle deep in your chest, warm and real, and when he pulls you impossibly closer, tucking you into his arms, you believe him.
His heartbeat is steady now, no longer frantic with fear—just warm, solid, home.
As sleep begins to pull you under, you hear him whisper one last thing against your hair.
“Happy anniversary, baby.”

Stuck in a hotel during a snowstorm, you and Xavier are forced to share a bed. No big deal—until an innocent brush of your leg reveals that Xavier is very much not unaffected by your presence. One accidental touch turns into something else entirely, and soon enough, the bed isn’t the only thing breaking.
(Or: You tease Xavier. Xavier loses control. The hotel bed does not survive.)
The train rumbled beneath you, a steady hum that barely cut through the howling wind outside. Snow streaked past the windows in thick, blinding waves, the storm swallowing the landscape beyond. The interior of the train was warm, but a subtle chill still lingered in the air, seeping through the metal frame.
Across from you, Xavier sat with his arms crossed, gaze flickering between the datapad in his hands and the storm outside. He was composed, as always—sharp lines, cool demeanor, a presence that never quite relaxed, even in transit.
You pulled your coat tighter around you, exhaling softly. “I don’t know why they thought sending us out now was a good idea,” you muttered, watching the whiteout conditions blur past the window.
Xavier didn’t look up. “Weather patterns are unpredictable. It was clear when we left.”
“Still. I bet half the city is shutting down by now.”
At that, he finally lifted his gaze to you. “Then we’ll adjust.”
That was such a Xavier answer that you huffed a quiet laugh, shaking your head. “Of course. Adapt and overcome.”
His lips twitched—just barely—but he didn’t argue.
For a while, the two of you sat in relative silence, the train’s steady motion and the occasional muffled announcement the only things filling the space between words. It wasn’t uncomfortable, though. Xavier wasn’t the type to fill silences unnecessarily, and you’d long since learned to read the conversations in his quiet glances, his subtle shifts in expression.
Eventually, you stretched out your legs slightly, nudging his boot with yours beneath the table. “So. What’s on your schedule after this?”
Xavier glanced at you, considering. “Routine surveillance. Lower district.”
“Exciting.”
He arched a brow. “Necessary.”
You hummed, tilting your head. “Yeah, but necessary doesn’t always mean interesting.”
“I don’t need it to be interesting.”
“Of course you don’t.” Your lips quirked. “You probably prefer it when things are uneventful.”
“Efficiency is preferable to unnecessary complications,” he replied smoothly.
You smirked, leaning back. “Boring.”
He didn’t argue, but there was something almost amused in the glance he gave you before he returned his focus to the datapad.
Outside, the storm thickened. The train slowed slightly, adjusting for the weather.
You sighed, shifting in your seat. “Hopefully this place has good heating. I don’t think I’ve been this cold in a while.”
Xavier made a quiet sound of agreement, his gaze lingering on the frost-lined window. “It’ll pass.”
You nodded, watching the snow continue to fall. Something about it felt heavy, like the kind of storm that could shift plans, change trajectories. But for now, the train carried you forward, the destination still ahead.
The train groaned as it pulled into the station, its momentum slowing until it finally lurched to a stop. Outside, the city was buried beneath layers of freshly fallen snow, the streets dusted white beneath flickering streetlights. The blizzard hadn’t let up—the wind still howled through the towering buildings, sending spirals of ice and powder sweeping across the platforms.
You pulled your coat tighter around you as you stepped onto the platform, boots crunching against the frozen ground. The cold was instant, seeping through the layers of fabric like it had been waiting for you to step outside.
Xavier descended beside you, his expression unreadable as always, though you caught the subtle way he adjusted his gloves, flexing his fingers against the cold. Even he wasn’t immune to it, then.
A sharp gust of wind cut through the station, and you swore under your breath. “Damn. I think it got worse.”
Xavier exhaled, watching his breath fog in the icy air. “It’ll pass.”
“You said that an hour ago,” you muttered.
He didn’t respond, but you could’ve sworn the look he gave you held a flicker of amusement.
A moment later, he shifted slightly, turning to face you fully. “Your route takes you through the research district?”
“Yeah. Shouldn’t take long,” you said, adjusting the strap of your bag. “And you’re headed toward the lower sector?”
He nodded. “Expected to check in before sundown.”
You huffed, blowing warm air into your gloved hands. “Alright. I’ll meet you at the hotel once I’m done.”
Xavier didn’t respond right away, glancing toward the snow-covered city stretching out before you both. The station was bustling despite the weather—figures in heavy coats moving through the haze of frost and lamplight, their footsteps muffled by the snow.
Then, finally, he spoke. “Be careful.”
It was quiet, just two simple words, but something about the way he said it made warmth flicker in your chest despite the freezing air.
You smirked. “You too.”
Xavier gave a small nod, then turned, adjusting the high collar of his coat as he stepped off toward his destination. You lingered for a second, watching him disappear into the crowd, before exhaling and setting off in the opposite direction.
The storm roared overhead.
<hr>
The research district was eerily quiet, muffled by the heavy snowfall. The usual hum of city life was subdued beneath layers of ice and cold, leaving only the distant hum of power grids and the occasional flickering streetlight to break the silence.
You tightened your grip on your coat, stepping briskly through the narrow streets. The cold bit at your face, but you ignored it, focused on the task at hand. This was supposed to be routine—just a check-in with the local researchers, exchanging updated intel, and making sure all sensitive data remained secure.
Inside the main lab building, the warmth was an immediate contrast. The overhead lights buzzed, casting a sterile glow over the pristine floors. A handful of researchers milled about, all looking more exhausted than usual, their coats hastily thrown over chairs. The storm must’ve been keeping them here longer than intended.
Dr. Lian, the head researcher, barely looked up from her screen when you entered. “You’re late.”
You pulled off your gloves, rubbing warmth back into your fingers. “Blame the train. You have the reports?”
She slid a tablet across the counter. “Encrypted, as requested. But there’s been… unusual movement near the old storage facilities. Someone’s been poking around.”
You frowned. “Any breaches?”
“None yet.” She hesitated. “But I have a feeling it’s only a matter of time.”
You nodded, tucking the tablet into your coat. “I’ll flag it for review. Keep everything locked down until then.”
Lian sighed, rubbing her temples. “I’ll add it to the list of things keeping me up at night.”
You smirked. “Welcome to the club.”
With that, you left the lab, stepping back into the freezing cold. The snow was falling heavier now, thick flakes sticking to your hair as you pulled your coat tighter. You had what you came for—now, it was time to meet up with Xavier.
<hr>
Xavier moved through the lower sector with practiced ease, slipping between narrow alleyways and quiet streets, his breath fogging in the cold air.
The lower district was always unpredictable. Even in this weather, figures loitered in the shadows, half-hidden beneath hoods and coats. It wasn’t just the cold that made people keep their heads down here.
He stepped into a dimly lit outpost, the faint hum of security monitors filling the air. The contact he was meeting—a wiry man with sharp eyes and a nervous twitch—didn’t bother with greetings.
“There’s been movement,” the man muttered, pulling up a grainy feed on one of the monitors. “Near the restricted zones.”
Xavier studied the footage. Silhouettes moving where they shouldn’t be. Patterns that suggested more than just random strays.
“They’re testing the perimeter,” Xavier observed.
The contact nodded grimly. “I don’t know what they’re planning, but it’s not small.”
Xavier exhaled, rolling his shoulders. “I’ll report it.”
The man hesitated. “You think command will take it seriously?”
Xavier’s gaze was sharp. “They will.”
That seemed to settle things. The contact leaned back, rubbing his hands together for warmth. “Storm’s getting worse. You should get moving before the trains start shutting down.”
Xavier was already turning toward the door. “I have somewhere to be.”
<hr>
By the time you reached the hotel, the city was practically buried in snow. The storm had thickened into an unrelenting whiteout, the streets coated in ice, the distant hum of emergency broadcasts echoing through the streets.
The lobby was a welcome relief—warm, modern, with soft golden lighting and a quiet hum of activity as stranded travelers checked in. You sighed, shaking the snow from your coat as you stepped inside.
You didn’t have to look long to find Xavier. He was already there, standing near the front desk, his coat dusted with snow, his sharp gaze scanning the room. He looked up as you approached, his expression as unreadable as ever, though you caught the flicker of assessment in his gaze—checking for injuries, exhaustion, anything out of place.
“I take it your mission went smoothly?” he asked.
You exhaled, pulling off your gloves. “Define smoothly.”
A ghost of amusement passed through his eyes, but he didn’t press. “We should check in before the storm worsens.”
You nodded, glancing around. The hotel was filling up fast—travelers seeking shelter, some looking frustrated as they spoke to staff. You didn’t think much of it. Not yet.
As Xavier turned toward the front desk, you followed, unaware that in just a few minutes, everything was about to go very, very wrong.
The warmth of the hotel lobby did little to thaw the exhaustion settling in your bones. The storm outside had only worsened, snow piling against the glass doors as wind howled through the streets. More travelers had filtered in, their coats damp, their faces pinched with frustration as they spoke with staff.
Still, you weren’t concerned. Not yet.
Xavier stepped up to the front desk, cool and composed as always, while you busied yourself rubbing warmth back into your fingers. The receptionist—a tired-looking woman with dark circles under her eyes—offered a polite, if strained, smile.
“Welcome,” she said, fingers already moving across her console. “Name on the reservation?”
“Xavier.” His voice was clipped, efficient. “There should be two rooms.”
The receptionist’s expression faltered. That was the first sign something was wrong.
She frowned at the screen, then hesitated. “Ah. About that.”
Xavier’s brows barely lifted, but you caught the subtle way his posture shifted.
You sighed. “What about that?”
The receptionist winced. “It seems there was a… logistical issue. Due to the storm, we had several unexpected bookings. We did our best to accommodate, but unfortunately—”
A pause. A weary glance between the two of you.
“There’s only one room available.”
Silence.
You stared at her. “One room?”
She nodded apologetically. “We’re completely booked. Every available space has already been filled.”
You exhaled, slow and measured. “Okay. Fine. Not ideal, but fine. It’s at least a double room, right?”
Another hesitation.
Your stomach dropped.
“It’s a single,” she admitted. “With one bed.”
Another beat of silence. This time, heavier.
You weren’t looking at Xavier, but you felt the shift in the air beside you. Like he’d gone perfectly, painfully still.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
Then, finally, you turned toward him. “Well,” you said, voice drier than the tundra outside. “That’s unfortunate.”
Xavier’s jaw tightened just slightly. “...Yes.”
The receptionist, clearly desperate to smooth things over, jumped in. “I truly apologize for the inconvenience. We’d offer a cot, but we’re out of those as well.”
Of course.
You dragged a hand down your face. “Right. So. One room. One bed.”
Xavier exhaled through his nose, the sharp edge of frustration barely visible beneath the usual composure. “It’s late,” he said, voice even. “We’ll take it.”
You blinked. “We will?”
“It’s a bed,” he said, tone just a little too pragmatic. “Given the alternatives, it’s acceptable.”
You squinted at him, but he was already reaching for the room key.
Fine. Fine. You could handle this.
Probably.
Without another word, you grabbed your bag and followed him toward the elevator, the tension trailing behind you both like a second storm.
The moment the door clicked open, you immediately assessed the situation.
It was a nice room—modern, warm, with soft lighting and a window overlooking the snow-covered streets. The heater hummed quietly in the corner, doing its best to chase away the outside chill.
But none of that mattered. Because the centerpiece of the room—the only piece of furniture that really mattered—was the large, singular bed pressed against the far wall.
You and Xavier stood in the doorway, silent.
Neither of you moved.
Finally, you sighed, stepping inside and tossing your bag onto the chair in the corner. “Alright. We’re both adults. This is just sleeping. No big deal.”
Xavier made a noise that sounded suspiciously like agreement, though he was still standing stiffly by the door, like he wasn’t quite ready to commit to entering.
You shot him a look. “Don’t tell me you’re the one making this weird.”
He exhaled sharply, stepping further inside, his movements precise and controlled. “I’m not making it anything.”
“Good,” you said, kicking off your boots. “Because I really don’t have the energy to sleep in the bathtub.”
He gave you a glance—flat, unimpressed. “That’s unnecessary.”
“Well, yeah, but so is sharing a bed with you.”
He didn’t argue.
Another beat of silence stretched between you before he finally moved toward his side of the room, undoing the buttons on his coat with careful precision. His gloves landed neatly on the table, his every movement deliberate, measured.
You, meanwhile, were already face-down on the bed, groaning into the pillow. “This is going to be so awkward.”
Xavier paused, then muttered, “Agreed.”
The heater hummed. The storm raged on outside. And the two of you stood at opposite sides of the room, acutely aware that sooner or later, you’d have to turn off the lights—and deal with the fact that there was, in fact, only one bed.
You exhaled slowly, rubbing your hands over your face as you sat up. The warmth of the room was helping, but the cold from outside still clung to you, a deep chill settled in your bones.
“I’m taking the shower first,” you announced, standing before Xavier could argue. “I need to thaw out before I turn into an icicle.”
He barely glanced up from where he was unzipping his bag. “Go ahead.”
You hesitated. You weren’t sure what you expected—maybe some kind of snark, or another pointedly flat agreed, but no. He was just… casually rolling up his sleeves, focused on methodically unpacking.
Right. Fine. Normal behavior.
You grabbed some clothes from your bag and stepped into the bathroom, locking the door behind you.
The moment you were alone, you let out a long breath.
Okay. This wasn’t that bad. It was temporary. Just a minor inconvenience. You could handle one bed. It wasn’t like you and Xavier were going to be cuddling or anything. You’d both just stay on your own sides and get through the night like professionals.
Totally fine.
You turned on the water, stripping off your cold-dampened clothes while the steam began to curl against the mirror. The shower was heaven—hot water rolling over your skin, the kind of warmth that made your muscles finally start to relax. You stayed there longer than necessary, letting the heat chase away the tension in your shoulders, the chill in your fingers.
By the time you stepped out, wrapped in a towel, the mirror was fully fogged over.
And yet, despite the warmth, a prickle of anticipation settled in your stomach. Because you were about to step back into that room. And Xavier would still be there.
You shook off the thought, quickly pulling on fresh clothes before running a towel through your hair. This was fine. Completely fine.
While you were in the shower, Xavier busied himself with the simple, methodical process of unpacking. Clothes folded. Gear stowed away. Weapons secured. It was a routine he could do on autopilot, a way to ground himself in the familiarity of order.
But then his communicator buzzed.
His gaze flicked to the screen, reading the message quickly.
UPDATE: Due to severe weather conditions, all travel has been suspended. No departures until further notice.
Xavier’s jaw tensed.
More than one night, then.
He glanced toward the bathroom, where the faint sound of running water still filled the room. You didn’t know yet.
He should tell you. It would be the practical thing to do. But instead, he sat down at the edge of the bed, pressing the heel of his hand against his forehead, willing away the very real fact that he was about to spend multiple nights sharing a space with you.
With you.
Xavier had trained himself well—his focus was sharp, his control ironclad. But that control had never been tested quite like this.
He was used to watching you. Observing from a distance, cataloging your habits, the way you moved, the way you felt—a presence that had long since embedded itself in his mind. It was something he could usually ignore, tuck away in the part of his brain that kept things need-to-know, classified, untouchable.
But now there would be no distance.
His gaze flicked toward the bed—the single, far too small bed.
His fingers twitched at his side.
This wasn’t ideal. But it was just sleeping. A basic, biological necessity. If he could manage high-risk operations, enemy encounters, and missions that required complete emotional detachment, then he could certainly manage this.
Except…
His mind betrayed him for a second, slipping past the carefully constructed walls. A flicker of something unbidden—the thought of you in this room, shifting under the covers, breathing soft in the dark.
He exhaled sharply. It’s fine.
The bathroom door opened, and a wave of steam curled into the room as you stepped out, dressed in warm, comfortable clothes, hair still damp.
His gaze barely flickered over you before he forced himself to turn back to his bag, fastening the last strap with precise efficiency.
You arched a brow. “You unpacked?”
“We’ll be here longer than expected.” His voice was as even as ever, though he left out the part about how much longer.
You groaned. “I was afraid of that.”
He nodded. “You should get comfortable.”
You snorted, running a hand through your damp hair. “Right. Super easy when I have to share a bed with you.”
A pause. His grip tightened slightly on the strap of his bag.
That feeling surged up again—quick, sharp, gone before he could examine it.
“...I’ll shower,” he said simply, stepping past you toward the bathroom.
And just like that, he put space between you again, slipping back into the safety of cold water and careful control.
<hr>
Xavier emerged from the bathroom, steam rolling out behind him, his damp hair slightly tousled from where he’d run a towel through it. He had changed into a black shirt and sleep pants, the kind of simple, no-nonsense outfit you should not have thoughts about—but here you were, thinking them anyway.
You quickly shoved those thoughts aside and buried yourself deeper under the covers, pulling the blanket higher like it could somehow shield you from reality. This is fine.
He crossed the room with his usual quiet efficiency, placing his folded clothes exactly where he wanted them, movements sharp, precise, completely unfazed—meanwhile, you were lying there, internally screaming.
Then came the moment you’d been bracing for.
Xavier lifted the blanket and slid into the bed.
You stared at the ceiling. He stared at the ceiling.
The bed felt smaller than it had five minutes ago.
A whole galaxy of space existed elsewhere in the room, but here, under this blanket, it felt like you were occupying the same inch of breathable air. His warmth seeped into the space between you, his presence too much despite the fact that he hadn’t even touched you.
You shifted slightly, trying to find a comfortable position.
Unfortunately, that meant accidentally brushing your foot against his leg.
It was meant to be nothing. A brief, fleeting touch. But the second your freezing toes made contact with his skin—
Oh.
You barely had time to register the fact that he’d tensed before you realized something much, much worse.
That was not his leg.
Your entire body locked up, a slow, creeping horror spreading through your system as realization slammed into you like a freight train.
Xavier was hard.
Like—no-question-about-it, very visibly affected, no way to ignore it—hard.
You stopped breathing.
He stopped breathing.
A thick, suffocating silence filled the room as the two of you lay there, perfectly still, your foot still traitorously pressed against the very real, very undeniable evidence of whatever the hell this was.
Your brain short-circuited.
Oh no. Oh no.
Your entire being screamed at you to move, to fix this, to rewind time and pretend this never happened—but it was like your body had forgotten how to function.
And Xavier?
Xavier was still not moving.
Which was somehow worse, because that meant he was actively trying not to react. And Xavier never hesitated, never faltered, never got thrown off his game.
Until now.
Very, very slowly, you retracted your foot, heat rushing to your face so fast it was a miracle you didn’t spontaneously combust.
“…So,” you whispered, voice strangled. “That’s a thing that’s happening.”
Xavier inhaled sharply through his nose, his jaw clenched so tightly you were afraid he might break a tooth.
You were about to make a joke—something, anything to cut the tension—when his voice finally came, low and dangerously controlled:
“Go to sleep.”
A pause.
Then, unable to help yourself—because you were you and your survival instincts were terrible—you murmured, “Not sure I can now.”
His fingers twitched against the blanket.
You bit your lip, glancing sideways at him. “I mean, should we—”
“Don’t.”
His voice was strained, his breathing controlled, but when you turned your head slightly, you caught it—that look in his eyes. The kind of restraint that meant he was holding back something dangerous.
Something he wanted.
And now, neither of you were pretending anymore.
You could feel the tension thick in the air, pressing down on both of you. You weren’t even sure who was going to break first.
But someone was going to.
The silence stretched between you like a drawn wire, tense and vibrating with something neither of you could ignore anymore. The heat from his body was palpable now, pressing into your side despite the fact that you weren’t even touching.
Not yet.
Your breath came shallow. You could feel the weight of his restraint, the tight coil of it in his muscles, the way his fingers flexed once, twice against the blanket like he was debating something.
You had no idea what would happen if one of you pushed just a little harder.
So, naturally, you did.
Slowly—carefully—you turned onto your side, facing him in the dim light. The sheets shifted, a whisper of fabric, and Xavier’s breath hitched.
And that’s when you knew.
Knew that he was right there, standing on the very edge of whatever this was, waiting for a single excuse to fall.
“…Xavier.” Your voice was softer than you intended, edged with something you couldn’t name.
He didn’t answer.
But then—he moved.
One second, he was rigid beside you, a locked system of restraint. The next, he was rolling onto his side, facing you fully, the heat of his body washing over you like a second blanket.
Then—his hand.
Slow, deliberate, sliding beneath the covers. His fingers brushed over your hip first, barely a touch, before skimming lower, wrapping around your thigh.
You squeaked.
That was all it took.
Xavier exhaled sharply, and then he dragged you closer, his grip firm, pressing your leg over his. The blanket shifted, tangled between you, but you barely noticed because—
Oh. Oh, he was right there.
The sharp scent of clean skin and faint soap. The warmth of his breath, slow but heavy, controlled but barely. His hand on your thigh, fingers pressing in like he wanted to memorize the shape of you.
His voice, when it finally came, was deep, wrecked.
“You keep moving closer,” he murmured, low and deliberate. “What is it you want?”
Your stomach flipped.
“You,” you blurted before you could stop yourself.
A mistake. A massive mistake.
Because Xavier laughed.
Not his usual dry, nearly silent exhale. No—this was low, amused, but dark at the edges, like he’d just been given permission to be exactly what he was.
His hand flexed against your thigh.
And then, so easily, so naturally, he rolled on top of you.
The weight of him pressed you into the mattress, slow and intentional, his knee sliding between your legs like it belonged there.
A breath. His lips ghosted over your cheek, not quite kissing you, but close enough to make your heart stutter.
Then, finally—
“I know,” he murmured against your skin.
And then he kissed you.
Xavier kissed you like he had been waiting—starving for this, for you. There was no hesitation, no testing the waters—just the sheer weight of his mouth pressing against yours, his body crowding into your space until there was nowhere left to run.
You gasped against him, and he took full advantage, slipping his tongue between your lips, deepening the kiss with a precision that made your head spin.
His knee pressed higher between your legs, parting them further, and the friction—God, the friction—made a pathetic little sound slip from your throat.
That sound?
It broke him.
Xavier growled, low and rough, and then his hands were on you—gripping your waist, your thighs, fingertips digging into your skin like he was holding himself back from something even worse.
He wasn’t just kissing you—he was devouring you.
“This what you wanted?” he murmured against your lips, voice thick, wrecked. His teeth scraped your bottom lip, teasing, before he soothed the sting with his tongue. “This why you kept shifting closer?”
Your brain barely functioned enough to register the question, let alone form a response.
You nodded—probably too eagerly—and he chuckled, dark and knowing.
“Thought so,” he muttered, dragging his mouth down your jaw, your throat, tongue flicking over the rapid pulse there.
Then, without warning—his hand slid under your shirt.
You gasped, body arching instinctively as his fingers dragged up your stomach, slow and teasing. He didn’t rush—he took his time, like he was mapping you out, learning every inch of you by touch alone.
You squirmed, half-desperate, half-mortified by how easily he had you falling apart beneath him. “Xavier—”
“Mm.” His lips brushed the shell of your ear. “Still cold?”
The bastard.
You barely had time to scowl before his fingers hooked into the waistband of your shorts, tugging just enough to make your breath hitch.
“You should’ve said something sooner,” he murmured, his voice silk and sin. “I’d have warmed you up already.”
Then his fingers dipped lower.
Your body jerked—a strangled sound leaving your throat—and Xavier just smirked against your skin, all sharp teeth and wicked satisfaction.
Xavier’s fingers traced the edge of your waistband, deliberate, teasing, a slow drag of knuckles against your hip that made your breath stutter. His body was still pressed against you, the heat of him seeping into your skin, his knee still nestled between your thighs, keeping them parted just enough to be maddening.
His lips brushed against your jaw, trailing lower, slow, like he was savoring every second of this.
“You’re already shaking,” he murmured, voice thick with amusement, with something darker. His teeth scraped lightly over your pulse point. “Barely even touched you yet.”
You wanted to snap back, say something, but the second his fingers slid beneath your shorts, all coherent thought vanished.
You gasped—your hips jerking instinctively—and Xavier made a quiet, satisfied noise, his breath hot against your throat.
“There it is,” he murmured, almost like he’d been waiting for that reaction. His fingers skimmed lower, brushing just barely where you needed them, teasing, testing, not nearly enough.
You squirmed, fingers fisting the fabric of his shirt, trying to get more, trying to—
“Ah.” His voice was soft but firm, a warning wrapped in silk. His free hand caught your wrist, pinning it against the mattress. “Stay still.”
You whimpered, half-frustrated, half-desperate, and that did something to him—you felt it in the way his body tensed, in the sharp exhale through his nose, in the way his grip on your thigh tightened.
Then, very slowly, he dragged his lips back up to your ear, his fingers finally slipping between your thighs, barely parting you.
“Good girl,” he whispered.
You whined.
Xavier chuckled—low, dark, pleased—before he sank his fingers into you.
Your back arched hard, a strangled moan ripping from your throat, and he groaned at the feeling of you around him, hot and wet and clenching around his fingers.
“Fuck,” he muttered, his control cracking at the edges. “You’re soaking.”
You couldn’t even respond, couldn’t think, not when he curled his fingers just right—pressing against that spot that made your entire body tremble.
“Sensitive, too,” he mused, voice rough, wrecked. His mouth was back on your throat, biting, soothing, ruining you. “Poor thing.”
His pace was slow at first, deliberate, making sure you felt every movement, every deep press of his fingers, every subtle shift of his wrist.
Then he picked up the pace.
And you—you came apart.
Your breath hitched, your nails digging into his arm, your body tightening around him as the pleasure spiked—a helpless, broken moan escaping your lips.
Xavier cursed softly, his hand tightening on your hip, keeping you right there, right on the edge.
“Come on,” he murmured, a dangerous promise in his voice. “Let me feel it.”
That was all it took.
The pleasure hit—white-hot, all-consuming, tearing through you like a live wire. Your body arched, thighs trembling, breath shattered as you tumbled over the edge.
Xavier groaned, feeling you clench around his fingers, riding it out, his lips pressed against your jaw, his breath ragged.
For a long moment, the only sound in the room was your heavy breathing, the faint hum of the heater, the storm still raging outside.
Then, finally, Xavier slowly withdrew his fingers.
You barely had time to catch your breath before he lifted them to his lips—watching you, watching your reaction—as he slipped them into his mouth.
Your stomach flipped.
He groaned softly, eyes dark, heat pooling behind them. “Sweet,” he murmured, almost to himself.
Your brain short-circuited.
He smirked, then leaned down, his mouth brushing against your ear as he whispered—
“You’re still cold, aren’t you?”
A pause.
Then—
“I should fix that.”
Your body was still trembling, heat coiling low in your stomach, your breath uneven from the aftermath of what Xavier had just done to you. But as he hovered over you, smirking like he’d won, you decided—
No.
If he thought he was the only one who could play this game, he was wrong.
Your fingers, still unsteady but determined, trailed down his chest, skimming over the hard lines of muscle beneath his shirt. Xavier’s smirk faltered just slightly, his sharp eyes flicking to yours, curiosity flashing behind them.
“Oh?” he murmured, voice all velvety amusement. “Feeling bold?”
You didn’t answer. You just pushed.
A sharp shove against his chest, enough to catch him off guard, enough to tip the balance—he let you roll him onto his back, his broad frame sinking into the mattress beneath you.
Xavier blinked up at you, surprise flickering across his face for half a second before it was replaced by something hungrier.
He let you do this.
He wanted you to do this.
And now that you were here? Oh, you were going to make him pay.
You straddled his hips, palms splaying over his chest, feeling the steady, controlled rise and fall of his breathing. His pupils were blown wide, his lips slightly parted—but his hands? His hands stayed right where they were, resting at his sides, like he was waiting to see what you’d do.
You smirked.
“Oh,” you murmured, dragging your nails lightly down his stomach, “I’m just returning the favor.”
His breath hitched. Barely. But you felt it.
Your fingers slipped lower, tracing the waistband of his sleep pants, feeling the sharp inhale he took as you brushed against the very obvious problem he was dealing with.
Xavier’s jaw tightened, but he still didn’t move.
So you did.
Slow, deliberate—you reached inside, wrapping your fingers around him, feeling just how thick and hot he was, how he twitched under your touch.
That was the first time you heard it—
A ragged breath.
Not controlled. Not calculated.
Just raw need.
“Fuck.” His voice was low, strained, his head tipping back against the pillow as his fingers finally clenched in the sheets.
You grinned, feeling intoxicatingly powerful.
“You are warm,” you mused, stroking him, watching the way his muscles tensed beneath you.
Xavier groaned, hips jerking slightly, his grip on the sheets tightening like he was actively fighting the urge to take control back.
“I can’t tell if you’re teasing me,” he muttered, voice wrecked, “or if you actually don’t know what you’re doing.”
Your fingers squeezed just a little harder.
His breath stuttered.
“I know exactly what I’m doing,” you whispered.
Then, before he could form a response, you leaned down, dragging your lips over his throat, biting, your hand still working him in slow, torturous strokes.
And that?
That broke him.
Xavier snapped.
His hands moved—gripping your hips, grinding you down against him, making you feel how hard he was, how much he needed this.
His lips ghosted over your ear, his voice low, wrecked, but dangerous.
“You want to play this game?” he rasped. “Fine.”
Then he flipped you again, pinning you hard against the mattress.
“Let’s see if you can handle what happens next.”
Xavier’s grip on your hips was tight, bordering on bruising as he pinned you beneath him, his body pressing into yours, heavy and hot. His breath was ragged, his pupils dark and hungry, and you could feel the exact moment his restraint snapped.
“You wanted to tease?” he muttered, his voice thick, dangerous, pressing his knee between your thighs. “You wanted to test me?”
You swallowed hard, but before you could even think of an answer, Xavier shoved your shorts down, ripping them off like they were nothing, like he had zero patience left.
“Xavier—” You gasped, your breath hitching as the cold air kissed your now-exposed skin—
But then—
Then he slammed into you.
Your back arched off the mattress, a strangled, broken moan escaping your lips as he buried himself deep, stretching you open, filling you.
“Oh, fuck—”
Xavier groaned, his head tipping back for half a second, like he was reveling in the way you clenched around him, your body squeezing him so tight he could barely move.
Then his gaze snapped back to yours, sharp and wrecked.
“You can take it,” he muttered, voice low, wrecked, a promise more than a reassurance. His hands slid under your thighs, lifting you slightly, angling you just right before—
He thrust.
Hard.
The bed slammed against the wall with a crack.
You screamed, nails digging into his back as the force of it sent you rocking into the mattress, your brain going completely blank from the sheer intensity.
Xavier didn’t let up.
He set a brutal pace—deep, relentless, every snap of his hips sending the headboard smashing into the wall, rattling the entire bed frame like it was barely holding together.
“You’re so fucking tight,” he growled against your ear, his breath hot, his voice raw. “Look at you—” Another hard thrust. Another wrecked, helpless moan from you. “—taking me so well.”
You couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think.
He had you pinned, your legs wrapped around his waist, your fingers tangled in his hair, your body shaking beneath him as he fucked you like he owned you.
The headboard cracked again, the frame creaking under the force, but Xavier didn’t care—he just kept pounding into you, chasing something deeper, something desperate.
“You feel fucking perfect,” he groaned, pressing his forehead against yours, his teeth gritted as he slammed into you again, harder, faster.
The bed frame snapped.
One of the legs gave out with a violent crack, the entire mattress tilting, sending you both crashing deeper into the ruined frame—
But Xavier didn’t stop.
If anything, it made him worse.
A feral sound tore from his throat, his grip on your hips tightening, his pace turning almost brutal as he wrecked you, fucked you into the now-broken bed like nothing else in the world existed except the feeling of you wrapped around him.
“You wanted this,” he rasped, biting at your jaw, your throat, dragging his teeth over your skin. “Didn’t you?”
You sobbed out something that was probably supposed to be a yes, but it came out as nothing but a guttural moan.
Xavier chuckled darkly, dragging his fingers between your bodies, finding your clit—
And that broke you.
Your entire body locked up, your breath catching, the pleasure slamming into you like a fucking tidal wave—
You came hard, a choked cry escaping your lips as you clenched around him, body trembling, legs tightening around his waist.
Xavier groaned, his rhythm faltering, his fingers digging into your skin as he buried himself deep one final time, his body shuddering as he came with a low, wrecked growl against your throat.
For a long moment, the only sound in the room was your ragged breathing, the faint hum of the heater, the creak of the ruined bed beneath you both.
Then—
“Fuck.” Xavier exhaled sharply, forehead pressing against your shoulder as his body relaxed, chest rising and falling with the aftershocks.
You stared at the ceiling, completely spent, still buzzing from the intensity of it all.
After a long pause—
“You broke the bed,” you muttered breathlessly.
Xavier let out a short, breathless laugh against your skin, his body still heavy on top of you. “Technically,” he murmured, voice still low, satisfied, “we broke it together.”
You snorted, too exhausted to argue.
“Yeah, yeah,” you murmured, still trying to catch your breath. “So, uh… what do we tell the front desk?”
Xavier smirked against your shoulder.
“That we need another bed.”
A pause.
Then, a wicked, dangerous glint in his eye—
“But I’ll just break that one too.”
<hr>
The room was wrecked.
The bed? Ruined. One of the legs had completely given out, the frame split, the mattress slumped at a questionable angle.
You were boneless, sprawled beneath Xavier, your body still thrumming from the absolute destruction he had just delivered. Your legs refused to function. Your lungs still hadn’t caught up.
But your brain?
Your brain had questions.
Like, for example, what the fuck just happened.
Xavier was still on you, his body warm, heavy in a way that wasn’t suffocating—just grounding. His breath was steady now, though his fingers were still absently tracing patterns into your skin, like he needed the tactile reminder that you were there.
And honestly? You liked it.
You let the silence linger for a moment, basking in the quiet hum of the heater, the faint flicker of snowfall outside the window. Then, finally, you swallowed, your voice hoarse, exhausted.
“So,” you murmured, shifting slightly beneath him, “where the hell did that come from?”
Xavier huffed a quiet laugh against your skin, but he didn’t move, his face still half-buried in the crook of your neck.
“You really don’t know?” His voice was lower now, quieter. Softer.
You blinked, tilting your head slightly to try and get a look at him. “I mean—no?”
Another beat of silence. Then, with an almost reluctant exhale, he lifted his head just enough to look at you, his sharp gaze now hazy, warm, fond.
“Because it’s you,” he said simply, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Your breath caught.
Xavier didn’t look away.
“I’ve wanted this,” he admitted, voice quieter now, more vulnerable. His fingers traced slow, lazy circles over your ribs, his body still partially pressed against yours. “For longer than I should.”
Your heart stumbled over itself.
“Xavier—”
“You think I don’t notice?” He exhaled sharply, his thumb brushing over the curve of your hip. “The way you look at me? The way I look at you?” His voice dipped lower, his lips ghosting just barely over yours. “You think I don’t feel it every time we get too close?”
You swallowed hard. You knew what he meant. The tension had always been there, unspoken, buried beneath layers of professionalism, logic, denial.
You just hadn’t expected him to be the one to admit it first.
Xavier gave you a look, like he could see the gears turning in your head, and sighed, shaking his head. “You’re ridiculous.”
You let out a breathless laugh, overwhelmed, dizzy. “I’m ridiculous? You’re the one who broke a bed over this.”
His lips twitched—not quite a smile, but close.
“I did warn you.”
“You did not warn me.”
“Mm.” His fingers trailed up your side, light and soothing now, as if trying to calm the lingering tremors in your muscles. “Maybe not verbally.”
You groaned, letting your head fall back against the ruined mattress. “Unbelievable.”
Xavier smirked, then, without a word, rolled off of you, pulling you effortlessly with him so that you were half-sprawled over his chest instead of lying in the wreckage of the broken bed frame.
The shift was jarring—one minute, your body was still thrumming from being absolutely wrecked, and the next, you were being held.
And gently, at that.
It sent a different kind of warmth through your chest, slower, softer.
“…You okay?” he murmured, the rough edge of his voice smoothing into something almost tender.
You blinked, caught off guard by the question—by the quiet concern in it.
“Yeah,” you admitted, your voice softer now. “Just… processing.”
His arm tightened around you slightly, fingers dragging over the bare skin of your back in slow, absent motions. “Mm.”
Silence settled between you again, but this time, it was comfortable. Warm.
You shifted slightly, turning your head toward the window, where the snow was still falling outside, thick and slow under the golden glow of the streetlights.
Xavier followed your gaze, exhaling softly.
“…Storm’s still going,” he murmured.
You sighed. “Guess that means we’re still stuck here.”
A pause.
Then, very dryly—
“We should probably request another bed.”
You snorted, pressing your face into his chest to smother your laughter. “Yeah,” you muttered, muffled. “Probably.”
Xavier was quiet for a moment, his fingers still absently tracing over your spine. Then, his voice dipped lower—
“But I’m not sleeping in it.”
You froze.
Slowly, you lifted your head to look at him, your stomach flipping. “Oh?”
Xavier’s gaze was dark again, but not with hunger this time—something else, something warmer, something dangerous in an entirely different way.
“Mm.” His fingers tightened on your waist, pulling you just a fraction closer. “Now that I have you here?” His lips brushed against your forehead, light, teasing. “You’re not sleeping anywhere else.”
Your breath caught.
“…Bossy,” you muttered, feeling your face heat up.
He hummed, his smirk pressing against your temple. “You like it.”
You rolled your eyes, but didn’t argue.
Instead, you settled against him, feeling the steady rise and fall of his chest, the quiet hum of warmth between you.
Outside, the snow continued to fall.
And for the first time in a long time, you felt completely, perfectly warm.

loving jason todd is like caring for an old marble statue.
he looks like something straight out of greek mythology, something pygmalion would have crafted with rough hands and bright eyes for nights on end. scars from battle like ares, or maybe he's closer to hephaestus considering his past.
but time hasn't treated him well, he's been broken and put back together more times than he can count. there are bad days where he can barely feel the parts of him that had once been taken away only to be stitched back on, where he feels like he's missing arms or ribs or even his head, and he feels as if he'd be right at home between nike of samothrace and venus of milo.
those days, he forces himself through the dark, grimy streets, body on autopilot as he watches limbs that aren't his own fight and bruise and bleed.
but then he comes home to you and slowly, slowly he feels whole again.
your fingers gently tap his before tugging at them, digits intertwined as you raise his hand up to your lips. you're just so warm and suddenly he feels his hand again, that fuzzy feeling gently running up his arm like spring water. he's thinking that the way your fingers are laced together reminds him of the crochet pattern he'd been trying to learn last night when before he realizes it, his other hand is moving on its own, finding purchase on your cheek.
it can't be a pleasant feeling, he thinks. he knows for a fact his hands are rough and calloused, years of abuse caked onto them in the form of scratchy white spots and ugly scars. but before he can take it away, you lean into it, nuzzling his palm as if it brings you comfort.
he brings you comfort, he realizes.
he stands there for a while, both hands now cupping your face, careful not to hold on too tight. his thumbs brush over the apples of your cheeks, feather light on each eyelid, one even traces the slope of your nose. you're so soft, flesh easily giving way under his touch and he can't help but feel like an elephant who's been given a kitten to hold.
then finally, he arrives at your lips.
he traces your bottom lip first, one slow, gentle swipe, before giving some love to the top. without much thought, he places both his thumbs over your lips like he's seen people do for stage directions, feeling the little squish when he puts just the slightest bit of pressure. your eyes open narrowly and he finally cracks a smile at the sight of you all smushed.
you open your eyes wider and his smile softens, his gaze locking onto yours. he feels like he could drown in them, drown in you, and he'd die happy this time.
he doesn't realize either of you are moving until his eyes physically can't look at yours anymore due to the sheer distance and the angle, instead slipping closed as his lips meld onto yours. he can feel the warmth in his cheeks and each kiss feels like pure bliss, the contact grounds him so that he feels like his head's on straight again. he's sure you can hear his heartbeat - after all, it's practically thundering against his eardrums - and the rhythm it knocks into his ribcage feels so real that the bones there can't possibly be missing.
jason feels every part of his body. in a good way. everything the world had ripped away from him now returned and fixed back in place by your warm, loving hands. yes, he may be a little weathered. yes, he may never feel brand new again. but really, does any of that matter when you look at him as if he's a masterpiece?

Tumblr media
“tsumu!” you call out from the couch while he’s in the bathroom connected to your shared room. “can you get my wallet? it’s on the bed.”
“sure thing, baby!” he answers back.
“thanks love!” you reply, the petname making him grin in the mirror. it gets him every single time.
after drying off his hands with a towel, atsumu doubles back to the bedroom, your wallet immediately catching his eye. he picks it up, and as he does, something slips out from the crevices.
atsumu picks it up and inspects it. it’s a folded slip of paper. curious, he unfolds it to examine its contents. reading it puts him in shock, and now he’s mildly annoyed with you.
he rushes out of the room, stomping over to you like a little kid. you raise an eyebrow in amusement when he stops in front of the couch.
“baby, what the hell?!” he whines, holding the paper out in front of you for you to read. confused, you lean closer, letting your eyes scan it before laughing out loud. it’s a guest check from the day you first met.
“what?! it’s cute!” you defend with a smile.
“it’s horrifying. do you even know how embarrassing this was for me?” atsumu pouts.
“oh believe me i know.” you giggle.
Tumblr media
three years ago.
after a hard won victory, the msby jackals were craving a celebratory meal. meian had suggested a new italian restaurant that had opened by the arena. there was a unanimous agreement among the team, except for sakusa. however, bokuto had managed to convince him to come along with enough pestering.
so there they were, a group of guys well over six foot (with the exception of hinata and inunaki), sharing what’s probably the largest table at the restaurant. it drew tons of attention, and there were even some fans who came up to them for pictures and autographs.
then you came by, ready to take orders, and atsumu knew in that moment he was an absolute goner for you. your beauty was unlike anything he’s ever seen before. you were prettier than those models on the ads he walked by, prettier than the flowers in his mother’s gardens, prettier than sunsets on a beach. and god, your smile. his head went all fuzzy at the sight of it. it melted his insides.
you chuckled at whatever bokuto animatedly said before moving onto atsumu. you looked at him expectantly, eyes shining with so much light that it jumbled the blonde’s brain. shit. what did he want to order?
atsumu’s eyes quickly racked through the menu, and his mouth fired off an order before his brain could process what he was reading. “uh, could i get the shrimps camping?”
a silence befell amongst the table before a collective cackle filled the restaurant. realizing what slipped out of his mouth, atsumu’s face turned red. his cheeks were embarrassingly hot.
mortified. he was absolutely fucking mortified. even that asshole omi-kun found it funny. it didn’t help that you were suppressing a smile at him too. he didn’t even bother with the damage control. there was no point. he’d only embarrass himself further.
with a giggle, you made a note of it on the guest check you were writing up because at least you knew what he was referring to. atsumu buried his face in his hands. see in his head, the setter had come up with a plan to ask for your number, but now he was never even going to walk down this street ever again. his chances? consider them blown.
“alright, alright,” you said after the laughter had died down. you fire off orders to confirm everything, and then you get to atsumu. “and… one shrimps camping.”
“you’re killing me.” atsumu groaned, feeling a new wave of embarrassment now that you were teasing him.
“it’s my job.” you shrugged before walking off with a wink. the blonde felt his heart skip a beat.
“don’t sweat it, atsumu-san!” shoyo clapped his back reassuringly. at least he could leave it to the ginger to always have his back.
it took a minute, but the team had finally moved on from atsumu’s slip up. unfortunately, it was all the setter could think about. god, what if you teased him once you came back with the plates?
luckily for him, it didn’t happen. you just tossed him a knowing grin when you presented him his food. he stared down at those shrimp dancing in the sauce, knowing he’s never ordering fuckass shrimp scampi ever again, and dug in. (it’s the most delicious thing to have graced his tastebuds.)
atsumu, contrary to previous thoughts, did end up coming back to the italian restaurant in the hopes that he could see you. he realized that he wasn’t going to allow one fuck up ruin the chances of having you. atsumu miya is many things. annoying, rude, loud, but a quitter? that’s not one of them.
it was a weekly occurrence, and atsumu would try something different from the menu each time.
“no shrimp scampi?” you would smirk.
“no…” atsumu would sigh, feeling the jab in his bones before handing you his menu. “no shrimp scampi.”
conversations became more casual. he learned more about you like how you were in your final year of university and that your favorite men’s volleyball team was ejp raijin. (he was definitely going to change that.) each week the blonde setter visited you during week made him fall for you even more. all of these little things accumulated until atsumu finally got the balls to ask you out.
“what would you like today, atsumu?” you greeted, that soft angelic grin on your face, and he just knew he had to do it. he couldn’t ever let you go.
“you. me. a date.” he said casually, his eyes dripping with confidence. (interally, he was freaking out).
you tried maintaining your composure but failed so miserably. you couldn’t stop the smile that reached your eyes as soon as you heard those eyes. “i thought you would never ask.” you beamed at him.
chewing on your lower lip, you motioned for him to give you hand, to which he most happily obliged. your touch was a new heaven. so warm and so soft. he wished to be wrapped in it forever.
you held his hand steady as the tip of your pen scribbled on his skin. when atsumu looked down, he realized it to be your number, and his eyes stared at it in awe.
“text me.” you told him before walking off. then you stopped in your tracks, turning yourself back around until you’re back at atsumu’s table. “wait, shit. what do you want to eat?”
oh. he had completely forgotten about that. atsumu picked up the menu and quickly scanned for a fun dish name. “um, just the pizza napoletana and garlic bread.”
“you got it.” you noted it down. followed by, “no shrimp scampi?”
“(y/n), please. i feel like i’m flying right now, and you’re killing my mood.” atsumu’s face fell, feigning fake irritation, but you knew better.
you laughed. “alright, alright. i’ll be back soon.”
“you better be.” the setter scoffed before his face betrayed his true feelings.
and before you knew it, one date became two, then three, then four, and the rest was history, shrimp scampi along with it.
at least, that’s what atsumu thought.
Tumblr media
“i thought you completely forgot about it.” atsumu whines.
you laugh, standing up from your place on the couch. “how could i ever forget that? i stopped the jokes because you got all sulky. besides, that’s how my little infatuation with you began.”
once you’re directly in front of him, atsumu places his hands on your waist, burying his head in the crook of your neck. without even thinking, your hand finds its way to the back of his head, stroking it with affection. “of all things? not my good looks? or my nice arms? ” the blonde murmurs into your skin.
you hum in agreement. “well that came after.” your boyfriend groans, making you roll your eyes.
“i don’t think i ever told you this, but i was having a really rough shift the night the team came in. when you guys were put into my section, i nearly lost it.” you admit. “but then you asked for shrimps camping, and i lightened up, like all of my negative energy just drained out of my body. seeing you all flustered and blushing was so adorable in my eyes.”
your boyfriend pulls back, his face scrunched. “i didn’t realize you were in a foul mood that night.”
“had to fake it. you know how customer service is.” you shrug, a smirk taking over your face soon after. “but you were too busy admiring me to even notice it.”
atsumu grins smugly. he’s not even ashamed. “that i was.”
you roll your eyes. “you’re hopeless.”
the blonde setter hums, leaning in, and you meet him halfway, kissing him gently. atsumu’s arms wrap themselves around your waist, pulling you closer to him until you’re pressed against his body. you feel his lips twitch into a smile.
you’re the first to pull away, but your boyfriend is unsatisfied with that. he presses his lips to yours once again before you could even get another breath in. it’s a kiss full of affirmations that atsumu can’t voice. you feel it all through him. he’s so greedy when it comes to you, but he’d definitely agree with that statement without any complaint.
to atsumu, kissing you is a new kind of euphoria, one better than any service ace, better than any cool quick that he pulls off with his hitters. kissing you is like falling in love with you again, and it’s single-handedly the best feeling in the entire world.
he pulls away first with a proud smile. he steals a quick peck against your lips, then your nose, and then the rest of your face until you’re drowning in his affection.
you giggle, throwing your arms around his shoulders. “tsumu!”
atsumu sighs contentedly. his large hand cups your cheek. the rough skin of his thumb traces up and down your face. it’s so reassuring and so warm that you can’t help but lean into it.
“i love you, angel. y’know that right?” atsumu stares at you, adoration swimming in his eyes. everyday, he can’t believe that he gets to have you. he can’t believe he gets to come home and you’ll be there waiting for him, ready to hold him in your arms and kiss his knuckles when he tells you about his day.
you adjust your head ever so slightly to kiss his palm. “i know it. you never fail to make it known.”
you’ve come to realize that that’s who he is. your sweet boy, atsumu miya, is so full of love. behind the brashness and the insults, he has so much love in his heart that some days he doesn’t know what to do with it.
“i love you so much, atsumu miya. you are my life.” you whisper, bringing him in for another soul-igniting, cavity-inducing kiss. it’s intense, hotter, but that is just life with atsumu, a blaze of passion and fierceness.
you can feel him melt against you as if this is his first time doing this with you. you can feel him reciprocating your words. you know him so well that you can guess the words that follow. “all for me. my sweet angel. what did i do to deserve you?”
a memory springs to mind, causing you to cut the moment short as much as you’d like to continue. atsumu pouts at the loss of your lips against his. such a kid. still, he looks at you expectantly.
“i have to admit,” you’re kind of excited to see how he’ll react to it. “the entire restaurant knows you as the shrimps camping guy.”
atsumu stiffens against your body, and the horrified look on his face makes you burst out laughing. “you’re lying. (y/n), tell me you’re lying.”
“i’m sorry, my love. it’s true.” you reach out for his hand, but the blonde playfully shrugs it off.
“don’t touch me. how could you do this to me, huh? i thought we were for life!” atsumu turns away from you, shutting his eyes.
you roll your eyes. you should’ve expected this. in situations like these, there is one sentence that will make him forget everything immediately. “if i kiss you, will you forgive me?”
atsumu snaps his head back to you, and his eyes fly open, allowing you to catch the light that sparkles in them as he smiles widely. he’s so beautiful. “really?!” he exclaims but leaves no room for you to respond before he’s crashing your mouths together for the fourth time. you roll your eyes in disbelief but give into him immediately.
atsumu miya is so annoying, but he’s yours, and you wouldn’t give him up for anyone else in the world.

I think what's so interesting about Gideon as a narrator at the anniversary dinner is the fact that there's clearly tensions that she's just not picking up on because she's only there to eat a dessert.
But these people are all the immensely powerful leaders of the Houses and consider themselves to be in competition for literal godlike powers and the favour of the emperor.
There's so many little snippets that are potentially intriguing: why is Teacher trying to prime the Ninth to consider the Fifth a threat? Why are the Third and the Sixth "sizing each other up like prizefighters"? The Fifth absolutely knew what they were doing when they sat the teen heads of the opposing cults near each other.
Through Gideon's lens, Magnus' speech is a little awkward jokey thing. But...the seneschal of the House that is known to be actively trying to absorb another House is saying it's such a shame they're all so remote from each other and what do they all have in common (and it's so quiet you "could have heard a hair flutter to the floor") - that had to feel a bit different to people who aren't Gideon.
Palamedes' is dissecting the meaning of "Master Warden" and at one point compares it to a prison warden. 'Dulcinea' asking about whether Magnus and Abigail have children is perhaps less small talk and rather more pointedly political. Harrow's apparently stilted conversation with Protesilaus is clearly her actually probing his limitations like he's a bad Chat GPT-run chatbot.
And then 'Dulcinea' tells Gideon she liked the dinner because it was "useful". In her typical "I never lied to you" way, Cyth wasn't lying when she said Abigail had to die because of her hobby - Abigail Pent let loose on the Facility would have risked blowing Cyth's cover sky high. But what does a Canaan House look like where after the dinner party, the Fifth go down to the facility, get a key, and survive to continue their 'the Houses are going to get along or else' agenda? We've seen Fifth House soft power on a smaller scale in HTN: and it looks like inviting a teenager round for coffee, lulling her into a false sense of security with small talk, and then physically preventing her from leaving the room until she does what you want, while smiling the entire time. A series of little coffee chats could probably have led to a lot of cooperation in Canaan House, one way or another.
Gideon jokes about Silas marrying Ianthe because of their similar colour pallete, but it does raise the fact that there seems to be some tension around the Third, its succession, and the *point* of Ianthe. Why is Silas openly saying Ianthe should have died at birth? Combined with Judith's comments in the Cohort Intelligence Files about succession on the Third, it feels like there's something else being said here that Gideon isn't picking up on.
And of course, Harrow wasn't the only one desperate to become a Lyctor because her con was unsustainable. Presumably at some point Corona and Ianthe would be expected to marry, or at least take on more separate roles as Corona prepared to take over the throne and Ianthe was funneled off elsewhere. At some point, their package deal would have become unsustainable and Corona's cover would have been blown. But much as Harrow wants to become a Lyctor so she can reveal the state of the Ninth without repercussions, Ianthe is probably in part motivated to become a Lyctor for the same reason. Because otherwise, what would Ianthe's expected role have been? Amidst the suggestion of anxiety about the Idan succession, the dinner party also presents the fact that the reason Abigail and Magnus' infertility isn't a succession crisis for the ruling family of the Fifth is that Abigail's younger brother dutifully married in his early 20s and had kids. We know there are branch families in Ida - Babs is from one. He may be a prince, but he's not treated well, and you do get the sense that the stakes to stay in power in Ida are high.
We don't learn anything about the political situation in the Houses themselves during HTN or NTN, but in the wake of Canaan House, you have to suspect there are a number of tensions and concerns.

Viktor x Reader
Tumblr media
tags: nsfw, suggestive but on a spiritual lvl 🤌 hurt/comfort. robo viktor and intimacy basically.
[established relationship]
Tumblr media
Viktor's new body doesn't feel physical pleasure. Doesn't feel friction or warmth to any extensive degree.
But you'll often find yourself placed on his lap, with him guiding your hips to grind against his own. His arms guiding yours around his shoulder, neck, back...wherever your heart desires to leave a ghost of an imprint. He traces your skin with fingertips that don't really feel any pressure whatsoever, but his soul yearns to touch you like he used to.
And he does. It makes him desperate at first...lost and heartbroken. He has to learn to calculate better, in fear of not giving you a good enough illusion that he is still as human as he was, still an attentive lover that he used to be.
The kind that would spend hours making you feel good, loved and precious. He used to push himself to exhaustion just because he needed to show you his affections thoroughly.
He still would. He still does. Every little speck of him that is left within this new vessel, he selflessly gives to you. The shudders that he lets out when you whine and moan are raw and real, the adoration in his eyes when he does something right and you gasp...it's for you only.
He can feel your emotions and hear your thoughts when the connection between you is at its peak. Once you place your forehead against his and you fall apart under his skilled hands, he can experience the ecstasy similar to the one he used to when he was mortal.
It's yours. It's borrowed. But it gets him high. The fraction of your pleasure that he can feel through your bond makes him addicted, insatiable. It can be considered selfish when he thinks about it more in depth, however it isn't.
Because he would do it all just for you...even if he couldn't feel a single thing, he knows he would always feel utter love and devotion towards everything that makes you. Your plump lips, your eager hands, your honey coated words, your mind and intelligence, your familiarity.
He'd rip himself apart and turn to nothing if it made you happy.
So he's quick to learn. He learns how to press his cold lips against yours just right...all over again. Relearns how to touch you in ways he used to know by heart. The instincts that seemed to die with his body, he has to fabricate.
There's beauty in those calculations. It comforts him. Because those seemingly "robotic" efforts are naked proof that his love for you will never falter, no matter the form he takes on.
He knows that you see his struggles, notice the smaller errors he makes in rhythm, in the gentleness or the roughness of his movements. But as always, you understand him and his body, the state of it, the "faults" as he used to call them, which you always said you'd love, no matter what they were.
This stayed constant in your relationship from before and now. Your stubbornness to love him through everything , even this, and he'd be a fool to not repay you.
So he makes love to you, under the glossy, shiny stars and then under the morning sunrise, on the wet grass or the cloudy floor of his hidden universe. You'll feel him molding his body for you and pouring his soul into you until you're crying, panting and shaking underneath him.
He'll swallow the screams from your lips as you crumble for him, and he'll engrave them so deep within himself so that nothing could rip them away.
Tumblr media
Noone can ever love me like the fictional men in my head and I'll have to accept that eventually . Anyways I hope you enjoyed this blurb, if you did, stay tuned bc this blog is slowly turning into a Viktor shrine.

enhypen -🎀- when reader has an oral fixation
Tumblr media
clarification: author and, considering that, obviously Y/N ARE ADULTS. when reading the tags and the fics, take the emphasis on the word PLAY exactly as it is. i do not support pedophilia in any form.
ot7xfem!reader - when reader has an oral fixation
warnings: oral fixation, rough oral (m), finger fu<king (mouth and v), 34+35, slight age-play or sick(?)-play, mild daddy kink(yes its jay), heeseung is a little weird, jake is very eager, mean sunghoon, cocky riki, mdni
HEESEUNG
Heeseung notices and sees it just like how he always notices and sees all of you.
Notices the way you always just need to have something in your mouth. The aggressive nibbling on your poor nails and fingers, your drawer being stuffed full of gum, how your mouth never seems to be comfortable unless it’s full. How your teeth is all gummy and itching, how your jaw gets tired and slack from all the movements, aching for the tiniest bit of friction.
It’s never you who asks for help.
He is looking out constantly, like you have a chronic illness he needs to keep in check.
“Does my baby’s teeth hurt?” You shake your head, and try to explain that no, it’s just this weird feeling…but he is already pushing two of his digits past your lips, to examine your roots for himself. You shut up immediatelly, and let him carve out his own pattern across the inside.
Once he is sure he is capable of making it easier for you, he makes it his daily task.
Your fingers, gums, lollipops? Out of the fucking window. His tongue, fingers, and cock? All fucking in and out of your mouth.
He puts his cock between your lips, pushes it to the back of your throat. And what amuses, sometimes scares you is that he never starts fucking your face unless you ask. He does it just to ‘help’ you more than to pleasure himself.
You’d be watching a movie, your head resting in his lap, suckling on your thumb, and he’d take it out without a word, and replace it with his member. He doesn’t thrust up, doesn’t push your head even when you suck on it or lick around the head, your saliva covering him full.
“It’s better, right? I always know how to soothe your little mouth, don’t I?”
“My poor girl just needs my dick to suck on, right? “
“Don’t worry, I’ll make the pain go away. Just be a good girl and take the medicine”
“Don’t try to soothe it with anything else. I know what’s good for your little mouth the best”
“Swallow it, don’t let a drop go to waste…I’ll give it to you until you’re settled.”
JAY
You tell Jay about your oral fixation after you move in together - it’s impossible to keep it to yourself, anyway. Not that he doesn’t enjoy the sight of you stuffing your face full of your fingers, all while already having a lolly in your mouth, drooling like a helpless puppy - he just can’t help but look for better solutions in his head.
He kisses you with fevor, not phased by the way you try rentlessly to keep his tongue in your mouth. He doesn’t flinch when you get lost in the satisfiction and almost bite it off as your teeth grazes againts it. His grip on your jaw is incredibly tight, and he takes all of this as an opportunity to suffocate you in all the ways he can.
“Daddy might go a little too hard, but it’s only to make you feel better”
Is what he would say before fisting a handful of your hair, and pushing your head down onto his dick. You can’t even say he’s being selfish or taking advantage of the situation - you are addicted.
To the way you don’t have to do anything to feel the dazing, comforting fullness, just lie on your side on the bed, and have it handed to you by Jay. Your mouth is watering, stretching, aching, and it’s perfect. And knowing that while doing such a blessing to you, he also enjoys himself at the same time is just the cherry on top.
You’d reach your hand down, slipping your finger inside your panties to circle around your clit, but he pushes it away gently, and sinks in his, deep.
“Shh, you don’t have to. Daddy’s gonna stuff all your needy holes”
JAKE
Having an oral fixation at your grown age - you are fucked.
Having a constantly horny boyfriend who also has an oral fixation - double fucked.
And it’s kinda cute at the beginning, how he is so excited upon realizing they share the same odd, and can help each other with it, too.
You overlooked the fact that Jake can never be normal about his quirks though, and he’d be equally addicted to fix yours and his. Both at the same time, if possible. That’s why 69 has became one of his favorite positions.
Like, he’d already be in fucking heaven, lapping at your soaked cunt, your clit bumping against his nose again and again, blocking his source of air, suffocating him in your sweet juice and musky scent - and then you’d freaking start to suck his soul out through his dick. That’s how he wants to see the light approach him, he thinks: face enveloped by your pussy, cock buried down your throat.
He wants both, all the time, no exaggeration. He never says no when you ask, but it’s never enough for him either. “Of course you can suck it, baby. Swallow, lick, spit, nibble, bite, I don’t give a fuck.”
“You want it now? Just tell me and I’ll get it out”
“You don’t have to do anything, just keep it in your mouth and sit on my face.”
“Come on, please! One more, and we can sleep. I know you feel empty.”
SUNGHOON
It pisses him off so fucking much it’s crazy.
Every filthy sound you make…
Sucking on those raspberry flavoured lollies you have stacked his drawers full off. Swirling your tongue around all freaking five of your fingers that you decide to stuff your face with on any random occassion. Eating any…ideally shaped food like you wanted to choke on it. And you did it like it was the most normal habit on the earth.
While watching a movie, falling asleep, brushing your teeth…
When he is trying to get work done, and you not only seat yourself on his lap but also nibble on anything you can find like a starved whore.
He’d take a hold of the candy, and push it to the back of your throat - since you’re so fucking desperate.
“Is this fixing enough?” He asks as he forces three of his fingers into your mouth, not giving you a chance to answer verbally or phsycally, holding you tight in his lap.
You’d whimper, clenching your thighs together, cause it hurts. Cause it hurts so good you could cum just from that alone. And that would make him only push further, use both of his hands. Each on your warm, empty holes.
He makes you kneel, and grabs a great fistful of your hair. You want to suck in the head of his hardness, rub it across the roof of your mouth, lick it until you’re drooling to the base.
And he does the opposite.
He keeps your head still, buries himself to the hilt over and over again, till you are droolling, drowning, dretched. It’s not to help you - It’s to shut you up.
“All that in your mouth and you’re still whining like a little girl who didn’t get enough candy?”
“A-a. Graze me one more time and my cum won’t be the thing you’ll choke on”
“Fuck, just like that. Suck it like the dumb little thing you are.”
“If you don’t stop slurping after this, you’ll have to sleep with it in your throat, I swear-“
SUNOO
Just like in any other situation, Sunoo is a fucking tease.
You could literally say ‘let me suck on your dick’, and he would still keep you on edge, offering other, dumb solutions that could ‘help’.
“I can take you to the dentist, maybe it’s your wisdom tooth”
Or
“Wanna get a chew toy? I won’t tell it’s for you, don’t worry”
At first, you huff and flush in anger and embarassment, and punch him on the shoulder. He let’s himself be entertained by it for some time, before finally giving in. Somewhat.
He holds your hair, tightly, and keeps your mouth at a ‘reasonable’ distance. Orders you to keep your mouth wide open, and your tongue rolled out.
He’d place his warm, heavy length on the dry muscle you’ve presented to him eagerly. Rubs against it lazily, sometimes slides in deeper to have a little moment with your throat, resulting in a hiss from him and a gag from you. When he wants to be a little mean, he leaves your mouth completely, and shoves a single finger inside for you to lap at, all underwhelming and empty all of a sudden. There is no in between, he switches between these.
“Aw, don’t cry, babe. I’ll put it back”
“You almost bite it off there! Pull your fangs back”
“That’s it, babe. Suck me dry”
JUNGWON
Jungwon is still a little shy when it comes to trying new things in bed, or in general even.
So when you ask if he could put his entire fist in your mouth and fuck it, his body and brain goes still for a good five minutes.
“Like…my whole hand?” He blinks confusedly, tracing your thighs gently as you straddle him.
“Yes, Won. Can you?” You flatter your eyelashes at him, a slight pout painted on on your lips.
How could he say no to that?
He inserts his fingers slowly, one by one, not wanting to hurt you nor with or without intent. He is very careful with them, with you. He doesn’t push them all the way in, but does his best to rub at the places that seems to soothe you, judging by the way it drawns out a dazed sigh from between your lips every time. While doing so, you grind your pelvis against his, the thin layers of panties and boxers giving just enough stimulation to the intimate moment.
He accidentally goes deeper, and you gag, your mouth finally full, so good your pussy clenches around nothing, wishing it could suck him in without any annoying latex in the way. His face flushes in shame, and he hurriedly tries to stop, but you grab his wrist in a dead grip, keeping him right where you so desperately need it.
“Oh, okay. I don’t want to hurt you but if you like i-“
A groan escaping him at the feeling of your soaked cunt pressing against him. Your underwear is wet, his briefs are wet, your saliva is dripping down onto his hand and sliding down onto the mess you’ve made in your laps.
And both of you finish just from that.
“Next time you’ll fuck my mouth” You whisper into his ears, and his gaze darkens from bewilderment and desire.
You’re definietly in for a ride.
RIKI
Don’t get him wrong — he’d never in a million years would complain about anything remotely close to this, but as your realitionship with him gets serious, it’s hard not to catch on to the fact that you’re highkey addicted to sucking his dick.
That’s what it looks like to him, to put it bluntly.
You try to explain that it’s a little more complex than that, but he lets it fly past his ears on purpose. And the thought of you loving his cock to this extent makes him cocky.
Like, very cocky.
Everytime you escalete from foreplay and decide to get down onto your knees, he smirks.
So knowingly, so arrogant that it almost makes you not want to do it at all.
Emphasis on almost.
What you enjoy the most while going at it is the veins.
When you slide your tongue from the base to the mushroom shaped head, it rubs your slimmy muscle in the best way, and gives your taste pads the most delicious preview of what you’re currently working for.
You love taking your sweet time on them. Or like, would love, since he sabotages you after he gets impatient most of the time.
Forcing your mouth open and your head down.
Or the opposite, taking himself into his own grip, and also steadying you by the hold of your hair.
“You make such a mess for my cock, Y/N”
He’d say, in mock amusement, while nudging, hitting his pre-cum covered head against your lips. And you still feel as if they are dry.
He’d have you deep throat him for a while, just enough to prepare him for the edge,
He pulls out before both of you can feel his release approaching.
“Mouth or face?” He asks with a shit-eating grin, stroking himself in a good pace, like he’s trying to rush you with the already obvious decision before he ‘accidentally’ cums.
When you aggressively swat his hand away to pull him back into your ready mouth by gripping the base, he lets out a dark chuckle, and finally gives it to you.
“So good. You really want my cum, shit-“
“Gonna come down that greedy throat of yours, okay?”
“You begged for it, so you better swallow every last drop…”
“This mouth was made just to suck my dick and take my cum, am I right?”

When He Lays Down On Your Boobs : ̗̀➛ F1 Reaction
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
» Max Verstappen
You could tell by the look in Max’s eyes what he wanted when he wanted to lay on your chest, and usually you tried to protest. Slowly Max subtly moves down in the hope that you won’t notice what he’s doing, his movements are slow in the hope that you don’t notice him. You can’t help but laugh at how Max thinks he gets away with laying down on your chest without you even noticing, but you see everything that he does, shaking your head at him as you eventually cave and decide to let him lay where he wants to lay.
» Lando Norris
It’s usually when he wants you to play with your hair, Lando will lay down between your legs and rest his head against your chest. He purposely messes his hair, inviting you to detangle the curls that fall in front of your face. As happy as he wants to appear with you playing with your hair, you know the real reason for the smile on Lando’s face is because of the position of his head. He shuffles and makes sure that he’s as comfortable as possible because he plans on staying there for as long as possible, whether you’re playing with his hair or not.
» Charles LeClerc
Quite often he will just invite himself to lay down on your chest, not caring about what you’re doing. If you’re playing on your phone, he’ll slide in between the gap between you and the device, or if you’re reading, he’ll pop up underneath your book. Charles likes to consider that spot as his own personal cushion, and once he’s there, he doesn’t plan on leaving. Your head often shakes in despair but when his bright eyes look up at you, silently pleading with you to let him stay where he is, you find yourself unable to say no, carrying on with whatever you were doing.
» George Russell
When he lays down on your chest is one of the rare occasions when George finds himself feeling pretty smug. The smile on his face is at its biggest when George gets to lay down there, especially when he can feel you staring down at him. You don’t even bother arguing with George as he absolutely won’t budge from his comfortable spot. He’d never admit to anyone else that he lays in such a spot, but when the two of you are in the comfort of your own home away from everyone else, it’s absolutely George’s favourite place to be.
» Oscar Piastri
It’s usually where Oscar likes to lay whenever he’s feeling sleepy, when he’s done for the day, he loves to throw himself down on top of you and declare your chest as his pillow. It’s hard to push Oscar away when he looks so tired, snuggling down into your chest as if he wants to lay there all night. He knows that when you’re feeling sorry for him is when you’re most likely to let Oscar get his own way. He knows that as soon as he yawns once he’s lying there that he’s there for a long time, not that Oscar would ever complain about that.
» Carlos Sainz
When you’re not paying attention to him, Carlos will lay himself down on your chest just to remind you that he’s still there and that he’s feeling pretty needy for you. If you start talking to him, he’s happy to just lay there for a while, but if you still pay no attention to him then Carlos will start to annoy you a little more to make sure that he gets what he wants. The best bit about laying on your chest is that he can also reach your jawline and pepper several kisses against it, just as an extra reminder that he’s there and that he wants you.
» Daniel Ricciardo
It used to be something that Daniel would just do in private, that was until Daniel decided to lay down on your chest one day in the garage. You couldn’t quite believe what he was doing, but a sudden wave of confidence came over Daniel and he decided that was where he was going to close his eyes. No one dared to say a word, although many people looked across at you both in surprise. You tried to nudge Daniel, but he didn’t budge, he was right where he wanted to be, and he didn’t care what anyone else had to say about it.
» Lewis Hamilton
Ever the gentleman, Lewis would never rest against your chest, not unless you invite him to lay there first. When he tends to be being pretty hard on himself or struggling to keep himself composed with work or his busy schedule, you let him lay there so that he can tuck himself in underneath your neck, his favourite place to lay, and forget about things for a while. Lewis loves the feeling of your hands running through his hair when he lays there, finding that he manages to fit in perfectly between your boobs, almost as if it was meant to be.
