Video Breakdown: THE FINAL GOOGLE FEUD

For @childofphivorce who won this breakdown from the @phandomgives fanworks raffle as part of Dan’s birthday fundraiser! Thanks for donating and for choosing one of my favorite DAPG videos! 😄

Welcome to perhaps the most chaotic of all DAPG videos. 😜 It was filmed in early August during Interactive Introverts, in a hotel room in Vancouver before they started the Australia leg of the tour. It was also filmed the same day as DIL CLONES A SIM which was the video posted before this one. (Also chaotic, and the source of my most meaningless DNP theory).

They left Vancouver on August 16 (1, 2), so this video was posted once they were already in Australia, the same day as one of their shows in Brisbane. (Can we talk about what else they posted from Australia? That month was extremely…something 1, 2).

This was the fourth (and ‘final,’ obviously 😅) of their videos playing Google Feud. ‘Excitement mixed with terror’ indeed.

0:00 - it is immediately wild. the synchronized leaning. Phil’s huge staring eyes. could they be sitting any closer. the single bed in background…

0:10 - Phil giggle! they really put a lot of editing effects into this one

0:16 - Phil’s hair is so messy!

0:20 - Dan with the “live your truth”

0:23 - “you get up to a lot when you’re not tweeting” Phil, WHAT?! 😳

0:35 - 30+ seconds into the video and they haven’t started the game but Dan’s discussing politics…seems about right

0:44 - does that…happen a lot Phil? 😅

1:02 - they are so into this conversation with each other. also significantly more eye contact than most videos

1:09 - ah there we go, lmao. I love Phil’s wide natural smile

1:23 - Phil is really not blinking…the slow head turn as he looks back at Dan. also Phil’s always sitting up straight and Dan hunching a little so Dan’s always looking slightly up at him

1:32 - nice transition to promo there. love Dan making Phil name them and trying to catch him out for not knowing

1:46 - behind the scenes searching and conversations…a lot of that in this one

1:59 - Phil thinking of something camera-appropriate to say but just went in a weird!Phil direction because he can’t help it

3:38 - Dan does not believe this for one second and Phil is so confident about it.

3:52 - again, Dan with the touching/pushing partially off camera. surprised this video didn’t have WAY more jump cuts

4:01 - again, Phil with the extreme confidence that he’s correct. what a conversation

4:13 - love Phil somehow figuring out exactly what Dan’s talking about

4:26 - “my secret ideas folder”...Dan pointing at himself; Phil’s lip bite…I don’t think I want to know what else is in that folder actually 😳

4:39 - does Phil say “owls”?! what? I’ve never heard that before when watching this!

4:50 - surprised Phil is the one to answer with his phone anxiety

4:54 - I love the teasing and Phil’s lack of ability to keep a straight face

5:01 - jump cut and Phil’s still grinning about that “burn” 😅

5:03 - “I don’t have legs” I LOVE him

5:05 - this is some INTENSE rock-paper-scissors. god I love that they left this whole bit in

5:20 - mukbang mention! was this the initial idea or had Phil already been thinking about it for a while at this point?

5:23 - I am 100% on the side of that noise here is an ass-slap. I know people say it’s the chair, but I simply choose to believe otherwise 😊

5:25 - every video should have a pizza intermission, apparently

5:39 - they did not discuss it. love that they can’t remember and don’t care

5:43 - the prompts they got in this one really just add to the whole vibe 😂 I love Phil always looking at Dan right away to see his reaction

5:48 - love Dan basically asking if they’re just giving up at this point

5:58 - “men can be milked” …Dan is losing his will to live

6:12 - Phil being right about “man”...he should really trust the first thing that comes to his mind!

6:21 - this video is really an insight into Phil’s brain

6:42 - Phil would have been so mad if Dan had gotten it right by stealing his thought. that song is from 2005.

9:12 - really want to know what conversation got cut out where Phil suggested “tampon”!

9:17 - shingles should not get an eyebrow waggle…why

9:23 - old Dan video reference there!

9:35 - now Dan’s turn to tell a likely untrue story about a potentially non-existent aunt, lol. “a barbeque of jesters” what is happening in Phil’s brain

9:43 - WHAT was that jump cut that comes back in with Dan laughing and shaking his head and another ‘this guy’ gesture

9:51 - Dan ‘valley girl’/Becky/Jessica voice! he has fully given up at this point

10:02 - and then I love the contrast with Phil giving one actual serious answer in the whole video and getting it right 😂 and Dan’s cackle!

10:20 - they really have stopped discussing the answers much at this point

10:26 - Phil’s long-standing hatred of cheese! why he thought that would be a common search though, I don’t know…more hands on head!

10:36 - that’s what makes the video amazing actually

10:47 - Dan is so insistent on knowing who it is! like that bit in one of the Stereo shows where he HAD to know who Phil was talking about

10:56 - the dabbing was such a thing! surprised they didn’t accidentally smack each other doing that

11:06 - “why do they call it spoons” oh Phil 🤣 I don’t remember where, but I saw someone say that this isn’t as ridiculous as Dan’s making it seem! Phil was probably referring to the UK chain Wetherspoons, which is usually just referred to as “Spoons”

11:14 - Phil leaning fully into Dan’s space. and then having to get him back for the teasing!

11:26 - love Dan being so upset about Phil skipping past this even though they’ve hardly been discussing the answer at all anyway

11:29 - Phil trying to keep Dan from getting loud seems like a losing battle…though he seems a bit more distracted than upset

12:09 - there was 100% about to be a nose boop here, why did they cut it? 🥺

12:15 - the parallels of their guesses with “tall”-”tol” and “endangered”-“rare”!

12:31 - more valley girl! love the implication from Phil that this is something Dan has been doing all day/”today”

12:39 - another bit that runs through my head far too often

12:46 - Phil upping the stakes! the dramatic sound effect is great

13:10 - and now he is immediately regretting throwing that gauntlet down

13:18 - Dan is enjoying Phil’s struggle. and making throw-away guesses so Phil can’t try again 😅 (or just trying to end the video as quickly as possible at this point)

13:52 - I really can’t believe the game did that when it didn’t even accept “nipple” rather than “nipples” earlier

WHAT were they thinking when they edited and posted this?! I mean...it is a lot. They must have looked at the footage and then decided to just really lean into it with the edit as well. And I love it. During the Cambridge WAD preshow, Dan was asked if they were high during filming. 😂 A very common theory, but at least during the 2018ish era Dan always seemed pretty ‘meh’ about weed, so I tend to believe that they were just really really tired and horny. 🤐 Or I could see maybe a bit drunk.

We were living on DAPG content (and tour insta stories and Rize 😅 live shows I suppose)—the last main channel video was What Dan and Phil Text Each Other from mid-July, and there wouldn’t be another until the mukbang video in October after the tour ended. The next DAPG video was Dumber Ways To Die, filmed in Sydney, Australia after the (in)famous ‘or perhaps in Sydney’ live show. This was truly prime glass closet era and I think the DAPG videos they filmed during II are some of their best.

Hi everyone my name is Vi, this mini legacy challenge is based on one of my favorite television shows, Gilmore Girls. I tried to play it as close to the story as possible but added a few twists.

ahhh thank you so much!! i’m actually going to do maggie for this just to switch it up a bit i hope that’s okay!!

1. i said this in the first post that i made of her but one of her favourite animals are bears!! cows are a close second (she has a brown cow on her farm who she adores)

2. in my head she has a southern accent. i’m not sure why it just makes the most sense to me so we’re rolling with it! i also imagine she’s not originally from henford on bagley and she moved there when she was about 20 because she has the animal enthusiast trait and so she’d always dreamed of having her own farm with a ton of animals !

3. she has a dog called doobie (who be introduced in a future post) and he’s an old english sheep dog!

Don't laugh (ok you can laugh) but it was the second Austin Powers movie. My husband's never seen them all the way through and they're on Netflix only until June 30th. Don't judge us too hard lmfao

The Queen's Gambit. I watched it when it was released, but hubby didn't.

craving?

The New Orleanian in me is craving this one cocktail served at my favorite restaurant. The restaurant closed down for covid and reopened literally only a few weeks ago but it looks like that cocktail isn't on their menu anymore. Afaik I think it was vodka and raspberry jam??? Phenomenal. It was called the Little Red Dog. We're going to that restaurant tomorrow and I'm praying if I ask for it they can make it but I don't have my hopes up.

what are you wearing right now?

Sweatpant material shorts I stole from my dad one weekend years ago and a shirt from The Strand bookstore in NYC. (Work pajama outfit lmfao)

how tall are you?

My ID says 5'2" but I think that's bullshit. An even 5'. Would've been shorter but I had my scoliosis corrected at 12 (I'm a terminator, baybeee) & I gained 2 inches from the surgery.

piercings?

2 holes in each lobe, 1 nose ring, and a closed up lip piercing I wish I still had but not enough to get it re-opened. I hope to get several more.

tattoos?

Two so far, a semicolon on the back of my neck (gotten before the semicolon tattoo movement) & a paper crane on my right wrist in memory of my late best friend. I want to get several more and have been actively ignoring the itch because my big wedding ceremony is in October... but after 👀 I think I was a big crow on my back/across one shoulder. And a few other small ones I've been thinking about. I've also always wanted bats behind my ear so maybe that too.

glasses or contacts?

Glasses! I'd love to wear contact but, fun trivia for your Friday, did you know that taking birth control longterm literally changes the shape of your corneas? I didn't either. But I'm pretty sure that happened to me and now I can't wear contacts without extreme discomfort. So, glasses for me.

current obsession?

My current and forever obsession is Vignettes, the story my bestie and I are writing together. It's wild how this one storyline has become my entire personality, and I'm not at all mad about it.

favorite fictional character?

This is such a hard question for me to answer cause I have wildly fluctuating obsessions and right now I'm most obsessed with my own fictional characters, but. Kaz Brekker will always have a place in my heart. I loved him from his very first appearance in Six of Crows. Same for Nikolai Lantsov in Shadow & Bone. I loved Alina for the longest time too but I think her depiction in the show soured me on her a bit, idk. I have a lot of strong feelings about the Netflix adaptation I could write a whole dissertation on. I've also held the Abhorsen series (& Sabriel) close to my heart since I read it literally in middle school. I re-bought Sabriel a while ago and need to read it again.

last place you traveled?

I don't remember for sure if our most recent trip was to Houston when we got engaged or to North Carolina for my husband's best friend's wedding. Either way, it's been too long since we traveled and I need to go somewhere stat! haha

4. Do you use move objects? sometimes! especially if I want an object in the corner of a room

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? get to work

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? I think I switch between them?? I mostly pronounce it like LIV mode (in the sims 3 I call the modes: sim, buy, and build...)

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? I had this one vampire sim that lived in a underground mansion. she maxed a ton of skills and aspirations which was fun!

9. Have you made a simself? I tried! but she looked like someone else lol

10. What sim traits do you give yourself? art lover, geek, perfectionist

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? cheese hair <3

12. Favorite EA hair? the laundry day hairstyle with the clip in the back!

13. Favorite life stage? hmm probably young adult - it feels like a fresh start. elder is a close second since I end up attached to them, and I feel like they had a nice(-ish) life

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? I enjoy the gameplay! I like building and adding builds to make the neighborhoods more fun/cute

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? since I started with sims 3 I was used to alpha cc! in the sims 4 I started with alpha cc but there wasn't a lot at the time. I ended up liking how sims 4 looks eventually lol! I've also gotten more used to the cas controls :^)

21. What’s your Origin ID? my username that I created when I was either 10 or 12, for minecraft <3

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator? luumia (for default skins) and simmandy (especially for eyes!)

23. How long have you had a simblr? since may last year

24. How do you edit your pictures? I use reshade and crop the screenies. for notifications I crop them, open the image I want to put the notification on in krita, and then apply a layer filter with stroke (dodge light, and 25% opacity).

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? more single and group activities (golf/miniature golf, arcade machines, drums/bass/electric guitar, gambling, etc.)

My weekly roundup CW 12

Well, I watch a lot during the week, as you all might know. I really want to write a little bit more about the stuff I watch, but time and work kind of get in my creative way. So I try to write down my thoughts after watching stuff to create a little weekly ranking on my, most of the times, quiet sundays (and because I love lists and this is a good excuse for me to create a new OneNote journal!).

Jack o'Frost was on hiatus this week, so it didn't make it on this week's list.

↑ 1. Our Dating Sim (Episode 5+6)

Oh my God! What a development! Now they are a couple and I am in seventh heaven with them. Eddy takes every opportunity to show Ian that he really really likes him and at the end of the 5th episode he is rewarded and so are we, with one of the best k-bl kisses there is. And the sixth episode has been pure fluff, right up to the last minute. I enjoyed every second of it, Eddy trying to ask Ian out, playful Ian liking to torture Eddy a bit, them both holding hands, that incredibly sweet scene where Eddy teases Ian that he knows very well that Ian has been watching him all along when he had his eyes closed then tells him I'll close my eyes now, do what you want and Ian just kisses him, jealous Eddy and that cute scene on the roof��. All except that darn text message…I'm dreading the next episode. But incredibly strong two episodes this week. It was definitely my favorite watch this week!

↑ 2. Unintentional Love Story (Episodes 3+4)

Won Young, you are cute, but sometimes you can't get a hint! Tae Joon tries to tell you that he likes you, and as we've already seen, he's a bit… socially cool and distant, and then you sit there and don't understand that he's talking about you, whom he likes. But at least you're cute and make Tae Joon smile. The show is so good. And you can tell that Won Young is starting to doubt if what he's doing is really right, because he's also starting to develop feelings. Please clear that up in a good way. I'm so scared of the drama yet to come. It's going to break my heart to see Tae Joon rebuild his wall that he's been clinging to for so long and in which he built a small passage for Won Young. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I hope for a happy ending, but I'm really afraid that it will be a hard road until then.

↓ 3. Chains Of Heart (Episode 6)

Mr. Lue's dream. The wish that Ken touches him, that he accepts him as he is, that he loves him and holds him tight…I think that was one of the best scenes of the series so far. Especially the tears in his eyes at the end. And Mr. Lue's attempt to convince Ken to give him a chance, to allow him to protect and love Ken. My poor Mr. Lue heart really had to suffer this week. The most disturbing scene for me was our one-eyed man and how he danced with the woman…I just find him unsettling. And I was most confused after the scene between Mr. Lue and Don. It felt like the two knew each other or Don knew more than others. As always a wonderful series, great settings and atmosphere and I'm looking forward to next week.

↓ 4. A Shoulder To Cry On (Episode 3+4)

Okay, the "I like you" scene in the gym was a bit too much for me, but I can understand Dayeol so well. I would have been super embarrassed by this whole scene and in such cases you just sometimes react headless, muddle your thoughts and then it just comes out something like that. That he avoided Taehyun afterwards, I can also fully understand, but it was nice to see that he does not avoid him, but continues to seek his presence. And in the end we just see pure self-protection. We see an insecure Dayeol, who tries to push the other away by hurting, redirecting his own pain, so to speak. Heartbreaking start to the fourth episode. Those familiar with the webcomic knew what to expect. The backstory is indeed not pretty. It is cruel and sad and a little bit you can understand why Taehuyn shut down his emotions. The trauma is strong in him. So it makes me all the more happy that the two are getting closer and Taehyun is actually learning to open up and talk about his past. And Dayeaol, a sweetheart as he is, is probably the first person ever to tell him that it's not his fault and that plus the look on Taehyun's face broke my heart. Good episode!

→ 5. The Promise (Episode 5)

Somehow the feeling didn't quite come this week. Phu's approach was a bit too daring for someone who left his best friend behind because he was in love with him and didn't know how to deal with the feelings. The fight at the end was also a bit too contrived. Before, Nan was totally happy that Phu was back and didn't question anything and then because of that one lie, he turns up and throws things around like I never want to see you again. He's hurt, no question, but those were extreme emotional leaps. Especially considering the beginning of the episode and how touchy Nan was there. And no, I wasn't yelling at my screen that they should just kiss already. Not three times at least…just two.

→ 6. Bed Friend (Episode 6)

Aw King…I feel a little sorry for him. He tries to show Uea that he likes him a bit more than just FWB, and then he goes to the arranged match. I mean, I almost understand. King needs some confirmation too. Uea's wall makes it hard for himself to show King that he's looking forward to the trip, that he's also already investing more emotion than just FWB. And of course he builds up his walls again afterwards. Because he just realized that King can hurt him, that he's developed feelings and that's something he doesn't want to do. Because if he's vulnerable, then people will hurt him, that's his experience. So he pulls back again. He would just have to open his mouth and tell King that he wants him and King would be the happiest man on the planet and carry Uea through life on his hands. And Krit…that nasty m*therf*cker! I can't stand him and hope he just disappears along with Uea's mother. And the outlook for the next episode looks exhilarating...damn.

→ 7. A Boss And A Babe (Episode 4)

Cher is jealous and I love it! We get to know part of his backstory and understand why he doesn't like going back to his hometown. The ignorance of some people is terrible and I feel sorry for Cher that he had to lose his best friend/first unrequited love that way. He seems all the more confused that he is slowly but surely developing such feelings for Gun. I'm curious to see what happens next when Cher is no longer employed there as an intern. For my taste there was too little ThiZo this week, I hope that changes again next week.

↑ 8. Tin Tem Jai (Episode 4)

I have no idea how old Tin is supposed to be. He's looking for his major in college, but quite often behaves like a stubborn little kid. And Park knows exactly which switches to flip to get what he wants. I don't like that so much. And there's the sweet boy again, who is quite enraptured by our Tin, and of course is all the more delighted that fate has brought them together again. And of course, he's a senior at the university and flirts wildly. And Tin seems to like it. Kana is a sweetheart. He could have hugged Pao a little longer, but his "I'm always here for you" line could have been spared.

↑ 9. PastSenger (Episode 3)

It was clear that Baiwan would fall in love with Kiao and it was also clear that Frong would not leave her alone. There were very sweet moments between Bamee and Kiao. The fact that Baiwan can tell Bamee so openly about her crush on Kiao and Bamee suffers silently hurt a bit. At least the episode was better than the previous ones, but I'm not quite convinced yet.

↓ 10. All The Liquors (Episode 7+8/Final)

Yeah, I don't know, the series really didn't excite me. Even the last episodes couldn't help. The start was good, I liked the first episodes and just thought it goes in a slightly different direction. In the end, however, Han Ji Yu has not necessarily become happy without alcohol, but has converted the previously abstinent chef to alcohol and I sit here and ask myself what the message of this series should be. Should we all drink more alcohol to be sociable? Can we only be sociable and outgoing if we also drink alcohol? I manage to be sociable without alcohol with people I know and like, despite my shyness. So yeah, I didn't think it was particularly good, and the kisses were numerous for a Korean series, but they could have easily just been left out. No one wants to see two dead fish kiss...

Probably fright, cause the animation is so funny like they have time to pause and check their pulse before dropping dead

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

I can tell this is aimed at TS4 haha I had to google Alpha CC to check I knew what it meant - So semi-realistic? I mean obviously I lean towards Maxis Match, but if I like how something looks I’ll use it even if it’s not from the same style.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

No, that actually happened to Klothilde because she kept eating fish and it takes so long for them to eat fish that she got fat after eating it once lol - But TS2 fat meshes aren’t even really fat, so it doesn’t make much difference to me heh

4. Do you use move objects?

Only for placing deco things, cause I don’t want to end up placing a chair or something that’s actually inaccessible and not find out until after I’ve built everything else around where I placed it

5. Favorite mod?

No Red Pause Lines, cause it’s 500x more annoying if I have to crop that out every time I take a screenshot

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

University, I pretty much got all the TS2 stuff as it came out heh

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

aLIVE, but I think about it more like how a TV show says “We’re live” or something since that’s where the game actually progresses in time

Cirrus! There’s some close seconds, but Cirrus actually has history in my game versus just being a face I liked, and the way her parents’ genetics created the little side smirk she has that I don’t think I could recreate in CAS

I did when I was 13 - I was exactly at that age where child sims felt too young to represent myself, but teen sims felt too old. I went with a child sim just for the proportions lol but yeah that was the last time I was interested in making a simself.

Um black? That’s always the default color I pick when doing any sort of dress up game

Both, I like building but I like to play the lots I build. And when I’m playing, I think of what kind of builds would be fun to play, and so the gameplay also inspires my building.

Kind of? I’ve made clothing recolors, makeup, hair recolors, etc. but I haven’t done anything besides sharing lots/sims in a while.

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad?

Not particularly, I have mutuals that I always like seeing on my dash/activity but I’m not the most talkative person on tumblr lol

Technically yeah, it’s my “personal” YT account but 90% of my videos are of The Sims.

I used to do more semi-realistic CC, just based on what I’d accumulated and liked the look of at the time. I still have a lot of that CC in my Downloads, I just don’t use it as often anymore as more recently downloaded Maxis match stuff.

idk, I think I have one but I’ve never shared anything for TS4 so it’s kinda useless lol

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator?

Ooh that’s a tough one, @platinumaspiration comes to mind cause I really love how bright/colorful a lot of their CC is and I like a lot of the clothing/hair styles :)

Here is the 1st post I ever made on here, it’s for TS3 and has way more straightness than my game has had in years lmao

24. How do you edit your pictures?

I explained it here sort of a few years ago, but I have a newer version of Photoscape and I don’t have access to Photoshop anymore. I still do the highlight/shadow tweaking stuff, but I use Photoscape to do that now.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?

Well obviously that’s not a question for TS2 lol but something that both TS3 and TS4 have that would’ve been cool in TS2 is careers that you can actually play/interact with instead of the sim disappearing for 8 hours.

26. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far?

Nightlife, I love everything about the themes/aesthetic/gameplay, it has objects/features I use more than any other EP to this day, it’s just exactly my style.

1. what has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?

so far, i was definitely most excited for the 1910s! although it was definitely fueled by the fashion as i am obsessed with it, i’m still having a lot of fun with it.

i’m super excited for the 1920s though - i have a lot planned for it and only hope i get to execute it well!! ALSO the 80s purely bc of my love of the goth music of the era lol

2. do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (cas or bb)

right now, absolutely all of katya’s outfits. i can’t choose a favorite, i’m just OBSESSED with all of them

3. who is your favorite sim currently?

quite obvious, but i love and have always loved katya. she’s my little baby and i will cherish her forever!!

i am also loving what i’ve got planned for the crowley children’s future, so all of them are very dear to me :) oh and also miss mystery sim 👀

4. what is your favorite world?

in terms of historical gameplay, probably brindleton bay! henford is a very close second though.

5. are you more gameplay or story focused?

i definitely used to be more of a story-based gameplay person, but i think you can tell in my posts i’ve started focusing on story more! its just more enjoyable for me and i can always play other saves for pure gameplay :) that being said it does vary for me!

6. do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?

not all that much! i like having them around but i tend to forget about them oops

7. what’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve in the game?

definitely phones 😭 i know there’s like a notebook override for them but as i also do modern gameplay in my own time i will just struggle with it!!

8. what’s your favorite in-game historical item? (cas or bb)

i really can’t say! i’m such a heavy cc user i barely use items from the game. maybe the wash buckets?

9. what would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?

i think i would love some new dances! especially from the 20s. i’d love to throw a big party and have my sims actually accurately dance 😭

10. what pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?

absolutely cottage living! from the gameplay to the build/buy, it’s just such a useful pack. no clue how i did the decades challenge before cows and chickens

11. do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?

i don’t actually! i tend not to use many historical gameplay mods for some reason.

12. what’s your ideal family size for playing?

as much as i love having huge families, my current 8 sim household is so overwhelming!! the 1900s 4 sims was definitely ideal.

13. do you use poses?

most of the time, yes! i do tend to use in-game animations sometimes too, but i generally find them too expressive and animated 😭

14. do you use any overrides in your game?

not that i can think of! if i solely played historically, i definitely would.

15. do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?

kind of! i find especially many of the bathtubs i like aren’t off-the-grid compatible, so i just… pretended they didn’t have power and water i guess

16. what lifespan do you play on?

i’m generally on normal, but i switch between long and short to either speed up or slow down my story/game.

17. what inspired you to start playing historically?

i quite literally don’t remember! 😭 i’ve been playing historically on and off for about five years now. a million decades challenges and many others later this is still the farthest time-wise i’ve got. oops

assuming they'll keep remaking the older harvest moon games, which would you want to see next? also which of the games on steam would you recommend to a newbie, including rune factory?

Ohhh man. Logically, their next remake will almost definitely be Magical Melody, as the next release and least intensive remake, and I think it'd actually be the best suited to the kind of remake treatment they've been giving the older games! The more recent, cutesy, doll-like style would take only a little adapting for a Magical Melody remake while also being the shortest departure from the original.

BUT the one I want to see? Honestly, I'd like to see remakes of any of the DS games. DS and DS Cute hold super fond memories for me (in general Forget-Me-Not Valley, which the DS games are also set in as in the Wonderful Life line, was my second home as a child), and Island of Happiness was a personal favorite. BUT more keyly, I want to see how they contend with remaking the DS games, all of which made notable use of the DS touchscreen. For that reason I also think they'll probably skip those games for a while, but I Would Like To See It.

For someone new to farm sims, I cannot stress enough:

1. Don't touch any games on steam called "harvest moon" for the time being. All of these are post-schism (more on that in another post) which long story short means they're not what any longtime fan of the genre is talking about when they say Harvest Moon. Some are still decent games, but if you only ever play one game in the genre, it shouldn't be any of those. (ESPECIALLY NOT HARVEST MOON: ONE WORLD OH MY GOD I NEED A SEPARATE POST IF I WANT TO GO INTO HARVEST MOON: ONE WORLD I HAVE A LOT OF VERY STRONG OPINIONS ON HARVEST MOON: ONE WORLD BUT UNTIL YOU KNOW WHETHER YOU LIKE THE GENRE DO NOT PLAY IT.)

2. That being said, I'm approaching the question of which to start with that way: if for some reason you only ever end up playing one game in the genre, which do I think it should be? And THAT is a super super easy question.

If you can bear the wait until September, start with Rune Factory 3: Special.

Generally speaking, I think everyone should play rune factory at least once. The rune factory games were a spinoff to the original Harvest Moon line, adding more RPG elements but most importantly creating this love letter to farm sims in a more fantasy-inspired setting than you'll see in mainline Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon. There is so much care not only in the mechanics, but in creating interesting, lively characters who you actually feel like you're having an impact on in tangible ways. I have been playing and loving and being consumed by farm sims as a genre since I could read, and I've always believed that at their core, they are never about the farm: they're about community, and Rune Factory does that gorgeously.

Why Rune Factory 3: Special over Rune Factory 4: Special or Rune Factory 5, even though RF3S isn't actually out yet?

Simple.

Rune Factory 4 is everyone's favorite. When people say they've played Rune Factory, they almost always mean 4, especially if they only mean ONE game. RF3 is routinely overlooked, even by longstanding fans of the series: not because it's less good (I would argue that the story of RF3 is very close to the core of the genre and generally better than rf4, although both are very good) but because RF4 was the first rune factory game to let you pick between genders for your protagonist. (Tides of Destiny complicates this sentence kind of, which is keyly why I didn't say "the first rune factory where you can play as a girl".)

The big reason is that I think everyone should play Rune Factory 3, and Rune Factory in general is best enjoyed moving forwards, chronologically speaking, as each game is slightly more refined on mechanics and if you move back you're liable to get slightly frustrated with loss of QOL.

If you're wanting to play a farm sim for the first time right now, though, go with RF4. It is the darling of the Rune Factory series, and Rune Factory is the star of the genre. Rune Factory 5 is a good game, but Rune Factory 4 is a great game. You have the option of masc or femme protagonists, a story that (while I prefer rf3's story for many reasons) is absolutely beautiful, and refined mechanics which will absolutely fucking butter your biscuit. Rune factory 5 IS worth playing eventually, but it's not the ideal starting point.

If you're looking for a more laid-back, less combat-oriented farming experience, however, don't go to Rune Factory just yet, as much as that hurts to say. In that case, start with A Wonderful Life. If you must save money, Friends of Mineral Town is a great choice, too, although I think it doesn't work as well as an entry point to the genre. It's a very good core game, but both FOMT and AWL are basic in specific, different ways, and I think AWL is basic in a specific way that better lends itself to new players.

AUTHOR’S NOTE I wrote this before all the installments of IOU but forgot about it until recently lol. This could be a standalone fic, but it's essentially IOU– Part Zero. I revised it because I think it adds a layer to the story and how MC got into this debacle as Jake’s roommate in the first place. "Shit, shit– shit!"

Unable to even think about where you'd be living after graduation with finals on your mind, you pocketed your phone and ran an aggravated hand through your hair. Nothing irked you more than when people went back on their word, especially last minute; this was not helping your rising stress levels.

Jesus, feel free to take the wheel any moment now–

The library elevator doors binged on a floor that wasn't your stop; you exhaled heavily, tapping your foot impatiently.

Your bloodshot eyes darted to the boy revealed behind the elevator doors. Immediately you noticed his figure– he was several inches taller than you, lean, and had dark brown hair. Handsome. The student was dressed in a plaid shirt over a casual tee paired with denim jeans and sneakers. He probably belonged to a fraternity, but that was just a stereotypical guess.

You locked eyes with him for a split second and noticed his brows raise in interest ever so slightly, causing you to hastily shift your gaze elsewhere. You settled on staring at the button that lit up to indicate your destination was the top floor.

You noticed him stand up a little straighter out of the corner of your eye as he faced the closing steel doors. The young man's cologne suddenly filled the enclosed space, triggering your keen senses. To your delight, he smelled of warm amber and subtle lavender. Pleasant yet unexpected.

The student made no move to choose a different floor, and you pretended not to notice. He cleared his throat suddenly, earning a confused look from you.

"Here to study?" The boy smiled at you, and you didn't miss the lilt in his voice, his Australian accent nearly throwing you off.

"Yeah, like everybody else," You replied indifferently.

His smile left as quickly as he gave it; he glanced down at his shoes. Your curt answer seemingly deterred him from continuing the conversation with you.

Shoot. Well, you couldn't help it.

Finals week had you tense and single-minded at the moment. Pleasantries and small talk weren't your forte in the first place.

Honestly, you just hoped that you'd come across an available seat for you to hunker down in and get shit done. However, the ride up the elevator was slower than usual, and you couldn't shake off the bit of guilt in your chest.

The elevator opened to the top level of the library, and the boy allowed you to step out first. The two of you parted ways in search of a cubicle.

It was clear that after you made several rounds circling the floor like a hawk, every seat on the floor was taken.

The highest floor of the library was the most ideal study spot as it was the one with the best thermostat setting, the best wifi, and the quietest environment. It was your go-to spot all semester long, and you were annoyed that the entirety of the student body suddenly piled in during finals week.

Where was everyone else while you spent time between class periods and evenings sifting through the aisles of books and hogging a study room all to yourself? It was hardly fair, but you accepted your defeat.

After a hot minute, you were back where you started, leaning against the wall in the lobby facing the set of elevators. What a nightmarish process– you'd have to try your luck on another floor.

Apparently, someone else had met the same fate as you.

You watched the student who rode the elevator with you shuffle back into the lobby, looking as hopeless as you felt. However, his expression brightened considerably upon noticing you staring at him.

Ah, shit.

You shifted your weight into your other leg as he made a beeline your way.

"No luck staking down a spot either?" He asked from a polite distance with his hands slipped into his pockets.

Despite that, his warm scent enveloped you again, and you inhaled slightly, trying not to be obvious. You suddenly wondered if you smelled weird— did you smell weird?

"No," you tried to inject a little more emotion into your voice, even if you just sounded disappointed, "Everything was taken, unfortunately."

"Wanna try the third floor with me? It's one of the less popular floors, but it usually has a decent amount of tables and cubicles," He asked, catching you off guard.

"Um…"

Would he end up trying to chat with you the entire time if you two did manage to find a spot to study? You supposed you were willing to take your chances to find a place asap.

After all, your photography final was in three hours, and you didn't have any more time to waste since you had put off studying for the elective in favor of your core classes.

Momentarily you regarded the boy who gave you a hopeful look, in the exact way a puppy might when they want to tag along on an errand run.

Such creatures were your ultimate weakness, right next to any offer that involved ‘food’ or ‘free’.

"...Sure," You agreed with a sigh.

"Alright! Let's go." You noted his eyes shone when he smiled.

Hoping you'd find better luck on the third floor, once you exited the elevators, you led the way, weaving between the aisles of books to check for open cubicles near the walls.

The boy you'd just met was in close tow behind you; not close enough to touch, obviously, but a lot closer than you'd expect someone to be when you hardly knew each other.

Maybe he just felt more comfortable around you after you agreed to join forces under the name of studying.

Upon emerging from an aisle of shelves, your eyes zoned in on a single free cubicle and chair in the corner of the room.

A wish come true!

Slowly, you glanced back at Jake to gauge his reaction. His mouth formed a silent "ah" before stopping in his tracks. Other students were in the vicinity, their noses buried in textbooks and laptops, a terrible tension suffocating the air.

"You can take it," you quickly whispered, surprised at your sudden generosity.

He merely smirked back and motioned you ahead with his hand, "Go ahead, you saw it first."

You tried to hide your amusement and insisted he take it, wanting to make up for your lack of friendliness during your first interaction in the elevator. If you two found a spot this quickly, there might be a chance you'd find another just as soon, right?

While you waited for his response, he merely looked around at his surroundings, seemingly contemplative, until his gaze settled back on you.

"Shall we keep looking?" He boldly suggested.

This time your brows raised in surprise, lips parting as a response was slow to form in your mind.

Jake's dark eyes bore into you, rooting you to your spot while all you heard was clicking keyboards and the shuffling of papers. The implication of his suggestion dawned on you.

Did you want to continue to keep each other company?

You really hadn't experienced much social interaction with that many people this semester, except with the friendly Dance major you'd settle in next to during your photography class. Which, by the way, was coming up hot on your schedule.

Now really wasn't the time, and yet...

"Okay," You said, sealing your fate.

Wait, what?

You were unable to believe your own words.

Jake had watched you all the while and chuckled, extremely pleased at your response. This time, he guided you down the walkway, passing behind the rows of busy students back into the shelf aisles.

"What's your name?"

Jake slowed his pace to walk side-by-side with you, causing you to nearly brush arms to squeeze by the narrow walkways. You realized that you two hadn't exchanged the most basic information yet.

"___," You shared.

He was all smiles as he repeated it as enthusiastically as he could in a library setting, "I'm Jake."

It seemed his voice could be a bit deep at times; it was interesting hearing him whisper your name.

"Nice to meet you… Jake." You tried his name out, and he nodded. "What's your major?"

"I'm a Business major, minoring in Marketing."

"Oh wow, you must have a lot to study for," You pondered.

"Yeah, a bit. I graduate in a year, so I have to keep it up for a little while longer."

Jake must be finishing up as a Junior then. You didn't expect that with his build, although it's tough to tell someone's age and class year these days with everyone having different paths in life. You wondered if he was an athlete on top of everything else education-wise.

"I see."

The fact that you were graduating so soon was scary, but you were planning to play it safe for a while and rack up experience at your internship before making any big moves.

"You gotta work hard and play hard, you know?"

Although you imagined you two had different definitions for the latter term, you nodded.

The two of you suddenly came across a set of empty individual cubicles simultaneously, side by side.

"I think those are reserved for us," Jake nudged your arm with his elbow. You glanced up at him and met his friendly eyes once again.

"Lucky us," You proceeded to take the seat to the left of the other one.

Jake slung off his backpack onto the other table and leaned over your partition to speak to you. You eyed him in curiosity from your seat as you shimmied your laptop out of your bag.

Settling his arms on top of the wooden divider of your cubicle, Jake suddenly dropped his half-lidded gaze to your lips, then back up to your wide eyes.

All the while, his grin never disappeared as he watched you freeze in your chair, undeterred.

Did he just—?

"Mind watching my stuff for me for a sec?"

His voice had gotten lower again too. You nodded dumbly.

"Thanks," he smiled at you before walking off to the lobby.

Oh. You knew that look, but you've never really been on the receiving end of one that intense.

It made you feel pinned to the spot like you were being cornered or coerced… into what exactly? Unable to expend energy on what was going on, you decided to stand your ground regardless of what might happen. One couldn't afford to waste any more time in this scenario, so you tried to shrug it off and busy yourself with studying.

Within a minute, your study station was set up, laptop, notebooks, and all. Facts about appropriate aperture and ISO settings in correlation with various weathers filled your mind as you crammed for your photography final, not without great effort. At some point, Jake returned and settled into his cubicle.

He left you alone, for a good while at least.

You were pulled out of your deep thoughts upon noticing Jake's chair pull up by your side.

"How goes it?" He whispered.

"Fine… it's a little tedious of final to study for," You admitted. Who knew one would have to study so much content for a class like photography.

"You seem like a smart girl, so I'm sure you'll ace it. Want me to quiz you?"

"I… sure?"

Jake adjusted his chair to face you and leaned back in it, taking your study packet in hand. Letting his legs spread open comfortably, Jake's fingers innocently played with the stitched seam of his jeans along his inner thigh. At the same time, he rattled off some questions, inevitably attracting your attention to his lower half.

Jake watched you shift in your chair as you tried your damnedest to look elsewhere while answering his questions accurately.

In the meantime, Jake slyly took in the details of your appearance over the edge of your worksheets. He appreciated the way those tight black leggings of yours, paired with that little cropped sweater displayed the curves of your body in a way that had him undressing you in his mind, only guessing at what color panties you wore beneath it all.

He shamelessly dragged his eyes over the swell of your chest, the tips of your nipples peeking through the sweater fabric. He was glad that the library A/C was blasting even on the third floor and that you'd chosen to forgo wearing a bra.

"Hey. Eyes up here, kid," You warned, snapping your fingers.

Jake licked his lips, quickly meeting your scrutinizing gaze. "Sorry."

"For some reason, I don't believe that." You moved to pluck your worksheet out of his grasp, but he kept it out of reach.

"Sorry, I'll do it properly—! "

You lowered your head and shoved him down too.

"Whisper, dummy!"

The way your fingers threaded through Jake's hair, albeit a bit roughly, sent wonderful sparks down his spine. He rubbed his thighs together, breath shuddering.

"Sorry, you're just really—"

Suddenly he was being dragged out of his seat into a nearby aisle of books, further away from the students trying to focus on their studies.

You swung Jake around, his back hitting a tall shelf of books with a thump.

Crossing your arms, you glared up at him. "Jake, stop apologizing and quiz me; I don't have time to waste. Now sit."

Jake slid down the shelf of books until he hit the floor, clutching onto your notes. His wide eyes peered up at you– and you kicked yourself for thinking he looked adorable.

You had your literal finals to study for, and it was his suggestion to help you in the first place.

You slunk down in front of him and crossed your legs, leaning against the opposite shelf.

"Start from the top."

Jake nodded and obediently quizzed you with more focus and enthusiasm under your watch. He was impressed that you nailed every question, yet far from surprised.

You would check your watch every so often, making Jake realize his time spent with you was limited. He had to act fast.

Once you answered the last question, you stretched your hands towards the ceiling, satisfied with your performance.

"Nice job, ___. Guaranteed A+ for sure," He stared at you, nibbling on his bottom lip, clearly wanting to please.

You tilted your head curiously. "So, you can be a good boy."

This guy is kind of like a moody puppy. Kind of like… Stitch?

You held back a snort at the comparison your brain made, but Jake clearly had a similar mischievous side to him if he thought he was being slick while checking you out.

Jake nearly panicked while receiving your praise, trying to refrain from twitching as you ran a hand over his dark fringe to pat his head. The simple gesture felt so nice, somehow even nicer than the blowjob he had just gotten back in the business building earlier that morning.

Unable to fight the flush of heat rising up his cheeks, he brought his knees closer to his chest; his jeans had grown uncomfortably tight. Why was he getting so worked up by just a few light touches from a girl he'd just met?

Who was Jake kidding? He'd been struggling to control his urges since he first laid eyes on you in the elevator.

"You should know, it’s not easy to make me like this," Jake couldn't help but reveal.

"Clearly," You chuckled quietly at his sulky expression, assuming he was referring to his compliant attitude.

Jake's face lit up at your laugh, even if it was at his own expense. His leg stretched out across the carpet to bump against yours, and that drew your attention, your amused smile lingering.

He took a deep breath, "I'm just going to throw this out there. My lease is up at the end of this semester, and my dorm sucks. I'm looking at this apartment on the outskirts of campus because fuck my dorm RA and everyone else in it. I want a place downtown where all the nightlife is… and I'm also in the market for a roommate."

Your ears perked up. "Really?"

Jake's brows rose in anticipation of your interest.

"Huh, tell me more—"

"Shhh!" A random student's voice scolded from nearby.

Several heads nearby whipped in your direction, and you ducked your head in apology, not realizing you raised your voice.

Jake giggled and scooted closer to you, lowering his tone of voice to a murmur. He spread his hand flat against the floor near your leg.

"Here's the deal, ___. I'm only expecting my roommate to pay a quarter of rent; I'll be covering the rest."

"Why the hell is that?" You asked, genuinely shocked at the offer.

Jake looped his finger through your shoelace, tugging at it slightly. "…I like to have people over often, so I'm not the quietest roommate, but I'll stay out of your way."

You weren't exactly sure what that meant, but you skipped pressing the matter, still aghast at what his proposition could mean for you. "That's an insane offer, dude. No bullshit?"

"Nope. Do you wanna go down there and look at the place with me Friday evening?"

You nodded, but as he took out his phone to exchange numbers, you grabbed his wrist, startling him. Jake swallowed thickly at your proximity, anticipating your following words.

"You're not trying to lure me out to a weird place to murder me, are you, Jake?"

Jake's throat nearly seized before answering.

Christ, she's a cautious one, isn't she?

"Nah, of course not," He joked, "I'm not diabolical enough to execute a big, sticky ordeal like that. Besides, you don't seem like the sort of person I'd want to cross—"

— Too much, at least.

Secretly, deep down, Jake quite liked how assertive you could get when he acted out. Interacting with you was, by his definition, fun.

You smirked, "Very good answer."

Every inch of his skin that your hand covered was set alight. The moment you pulled back, Jake wished you hadn't let go but instead chose to run your fingers up his arm and through his hair again, praising him for saying the right answer, for being such a good boy.

He knew you two had just met and that he was insane for thinking this— but why could he imagine countless scenarios involving all the restaurants the two of you could share a meal at, all the late-night movies to catch with you, amongst the limitless ways to make you moan his name in pleasure?

Such weird thoughts to have… except for the latter.

As you stood up, Jake flexed his tingling hand.

You snatched your worksheet back but offered your free hand to him, "I guess I owe you one."

Maybe you did, but Jake wanted nothing more than to pull you back down on him and take your stress away, however you'd like him to.

Even if it involved you pushing him up against any sort of solid surface again, especially if it meant letting him play with your lovely tits in his mouth while you got yourself off by grinding down on his aching bulge.

He didn't mind that you were a high-strung individual– couldn't even blame you, what with all the stressful energy permeating the entire campus– that just made the thought of breaking you down all the sweeter.

Fuck.

He mentally soothed himself, feeling dizzy.

Calm down, Jaeyun, calm down, calm down…

He was in dire need of developing self-control; it could complicate things.

"If it ends up working out for your situation, then let's be roommates," Jake replied instead, slipping his hand into yours as you hauled him to his feet with a strength he wouldn't have guessed you had.

Stars tinged the edge of his vision while he focused on your bare facial features.

Beautiful.

"And if not?" You asked.

"I just might request that you reserve us a private study room—"

You lightly shoved at his chest, rolling your eyes while he grinned at you.

"You wish, Jake."

1) I have a hard time picking a favorite episode. Truth be told, I’m currently in the process of rewatching the entire series and ranking every episode on a spreadsheet, lmao… but I’m only on season 7 so I may have to get back to you on this. 2) Least favorite episode is Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New Vagina. I just hate every part of it (except for Sheila being a trans ally, that was nice!), and though I can stomach it enough to watch it on series rewatches, it’s not one I will ever go out of my way to watch. Close second is Crippled Summer and third least favorite is probably A Million Little Fibers. But we’ll see how the spreadsheet turns out in the end!

3) As for Kyle being a bookworm… I’ve just always seen him that way! I don’t think it’s one of his main character traits (like, when I make him in The Sims I don’t give him the bookworm trait because there are other things that supersede that), but I do think he loves to read.

Not only is he shown to read more often than the other boys in the show, but his bedroom contains more books and generally nerdy/academically inclined things than the other kids’ rooms do. Here’s his desk, for instance:

He has a nicely maintained little bookshelf AND a small pile of books that could just be for school but could also be books he’s currently reading!

On top of that the Broflovski house contains more books than other houses do, and when kids are exposed to books and reading at a young age they’re more likely to enjoy reading when they’re older. They have that big bookcase in their living room in addition to all the books in Gerald’s study… so it stands to reason that the Broflovskis are avid readers in general!

So basically, I see him as a bookworm because there’s evidence to support it. I know that’s not a very detailed explanation but I really think the show speaks for itself here.

Thanks so much for the ask, @cantseemtohide! 🥰 Here’s some fax about one of my favourite sims who I think has become a favourite of a few other people too...

1. Kerani is a second gen sim of my Dynastia legacy, the daughter of Sai and Halle Kohli. Her parents were introduced by my original sim, Tessa, and they were both secret agents - Halle in the Diamond Agent branch and Sai in the Villain branch. All of my first gen sims have now passed away except for Sai, who became a vampire as an elder.

2. Kerani is twins with Kushali, and they’re Sai and Halle’s youngest daughters. They have an older sister, Vanya (who had a short-lived relationship and a daughter with Julian when they were teens) and an older half-sister, Lana, who is the daughter of Sai and Tessa. Kerani is Sai’s favourite of his children, because she’s the most like him.

3. Kerani and Kushali have very different personalities, almost polar opposites (Kushali’s original aspiration was Friend of the World while Kerani’s was Public Enemy), but despite this they’ve always been extremely close. They understand each other on a deep level that goes beyond any differences they have. Kush tolerates and forgives a lot of Kerani’s behaviour because of this, and Kerani is very protective of Kush and always trying to steer her to make honest choices.

4. Kerani was the first of my sims to turn into a vampire. She became interested in vampires when she discovered the vampire bar in Forgotten Hollow, and later snuck into Vlad’s underground dungeon to check it out. She was turned by Caleb Vatore. (She also wore glasses before she was turned, but no longer needs them since all her senses were heightened by becoming a vampire.)

5. My Dynastia legacy follows the stories of two close families, the Levesques and the Kohlis, so all of my second gen sims grew up together. Kerani has never liked Julian much and enjoys teasing him and frightening him. But she’s always been supportive of her twin Kushali’s relationship with Julian, because she’s observed how good they are for each other.

(ELVENE?? IS IT ELVENE!?!?!)

you already know it’s elvene who else would it be?! anyway let’s go elvene facts i’ll try share my best to share stuff i havent before but sometimes i forget what i have and haven’t posted so i apologise if i’ve already said some of these. (this post turned out way longer than i meant for it to so i’m putting it under the cut)

1. elvenes favourite flowers are daisies! they remind her of home as there was a huge daisy field just a short walk away from her home village on the outskirts of the forest. her mother also taught her to make daisy crowns when she was younger, and when she returns to the village many years later when shes older to pay her respects to her family (as she never got the chance to as a child and she wasn’t strong enough to return to her destroyed village prior to this) she leaves a flower crown at the site where her mother passed

2. one thing i’m sure everyone knows about elvene is that she’s very sarcastic and she doesn’t really show her emotions meaning she can come across as quite cold at times. however deep down elvene is a very caring and protective person! for instance in bg3 when she finds arabella in the cursed shadowlands, her immediate first instinct is to help her. there are a lot of similarities in their situation and so she vows that she will do whatever she can to help and protect this young girl. when she finds out the fate of arabella’s parents however for the first time elvene breaks down crying, she doesn’t know how to face this again and she doesn’t know how to tell this young girl (she probably makes shadowheart or astarion do it for her). she ends up taking arabella under her wing and caring for her much how her party did when they found her and took her in! there’s a lot of similarities between their situation and i defiantly think she becomes somewhat of an older sister / mentor to arabella, and if you so much as even dare try lay a hand on arabella you will loose that hand. also because arabella has druid powers i like to think elvene helps teach her how to use this powers because her mother was a druid and so she has a little knowledge about it!

3. for some reason i commonly associate elvene with one of two animals (ofc both of them being forest animals) the first one is a deer, because despite her attitude deep down she is still a scared little girl who’s family was ripped away from her also her sim has really big brown eyes which give me deer vibes. and the second one is a hedgehog which may look sweet and cute (like elvene) but theyre spikey and will hurt you if you get to close (like if you try touch them) and honestly that’s so elvene coded.

4. i have defiantly mentioned this before but it’s one of my fav elvene facts because i think it’s so silly, but elvene can’t do her own hair. this kind of started because of the first hair i gave to her it was literally just pigtails with some cloth wrapped around them and i was like oh she just kinda threw it together so it was out of her way. but then as i started to give her this more intricate hairstyles i was like there’s no way that she’d take the time to do these or even know how to it’s just doesn’t fit with her character, and so the idea elvene couldn’t do her own hair was born! (in bg3 she gets shadowheart to do it for her. elvene tends to mess her hair up almost instantly there’s always strands falling out) (@/druidberries’oc lucine also sometimes does elvenes hair i actually made a render with the two of them a little while ago)

5. pretty obvious but elvenes main weapon of choice and the weapon she is the best at wielding is the bow and arrow (it’s how she got the name sharp). however, this isn’t the only weapon she knows how to wield, she just prefers it. she does know how to wield other weapons however she usually doesn’t unless she absolutely has to for instance if she somehow ends up close range in battle (which is pretty rare she typically hangs back but it does happen sometimes)
