Could you do Benedict Bridgerton with wife reader? With fluff promt “I just really want to kiss you right now” Thanks!! :))
Benedict Bridgerton x wife!reader
Summary: Benedict gets inspired by his muse at any time of day.
Word Count : 0.9k
A/N: Thank you for the request, I've never written for Ben before. I hope I did your idea justice <3

It was not the first time you had woken up to your bed being empty and your husband’s side having long gone cold. You realized mere weeks into your marriage that the artist’s spirit was one that never truly rested. Benedict could be inspired at any moment and he was not one to wait until morning to work.
The light that streamed in from the window grazed your face and started to pull you gently from sleep’s embrace. You did not open your eyes yet, dearly wishing to have one more moment to cherish the night before having to greet the day. Your arms stretch above your head and you pull them out to your side, reaching for your love. You chuckle when you feel nothing and open your eyes to search for him.
Your eyes scan over the empty spot that used to hold your husband, at least you knew he had slept a little last night. The two of you had fallen asleep in each other’s arms and you had waited until his breathing had evened out to succumb to sleep.
Your husband was sweet, but you knew that he had no regard for himself. You wonder if this is a trait all artists share or if it is Bridgerton trait. You’d have to ask Kate the next time you saw her if Anthony also had a tendency to burn the midnight oil or if you were just lucky enough to get the restless brother.
You pull the sheets down to your waist and begin to sit up when a cough from the corner of the room catches your attention.
There, in your favorite reading chair sits your husband. Benedict is still in his night clothes, and the ties on his shirt have fallen open exposing more of his chest to your greedy eyes than was available before you went to bed. Clutched in his hand is a sketch pad and some charcoal. His hands are stained and the closer you look you also notice streaks of black across his forehead. He is staring deeply at you.
“Do not move my love, I am inspired.”
You laugh lightly, “When are you not inspired, dear husband?”
“How can I not be always inspired when my muse walks the same halls as I? When I wake up to beautiful sights like this I cannot help but feel the need to catch them on the page.” He nods towards you, still lounging in bed.
“You’re a flatterer and a flirt.”
“Ony for you my love.”
“How long am I to be trapped here?” You ask him.
“You vowed until death do us part.”
“I did, and I fully intend to honor that vow, but do you truly wish for me to waste away in bed?”
“You look far too beautiful to be wasting.”
You raised an eyebrow at the love of your life.
“Just stay there for a few more moments my love, I’m almost finished.” He told you.
You tried to stay still for him, assuming the same position you woke up in, or as close to it as you could get. The room filled with the sounds of scratching on paper and the breaths that came from either of you. You jest with him, but you would gladly waste away in bed if it meant being able to watch Benedict for the rest of your time. The sight of your husband creating masterpieces was one that you loved dearly. Unfortunately Ben didn’t really like people watching him work, this was a rare treat indeed.
“Ben?” You called from your spot on the bed.
“Yes Love?” He did not look up from his paper.
“I do not think I can wait much longer.”
“And whyever not?” His lips spread into a grin and he looked up into your eyes.
“I just really want to kiss you right now.” You bit your bottom lip lightly and smiled at him.
“Well, why didn’t you say so?” He stood and placed the paper and coal on the seat. He slowly made his way closer to where you lie in wait. “My lovely wife needs to be kissed does she?” He asked you, climbing onto the bed and hovering over you.
“She does.” You nodded. “I fear she might not survive much longer without one.”
“We cannot have that, who shall inspire me if she is not with me?” He drew his face closer to yours, rubbing his nose along yours.
“Ben please,” you whispered.
“How I love to hear you beg.” He smiled into your neck, where he began to pepper small kisses.
‘I do not think that I was beg-” he silenced you with a kiss. It was slow and filled with love, your lips dancing with each other perfectly.
You sat up without breaking the kiss, twisting yourself so that the two of you were intertwined.
Mornings like these were a rare treat indeed.

May I request "I'm so so sorry, you don't deserve that," with Benedict bridgerton please 💗
A/N - Thanks for the request, anon!
Joy
Summary - Benedict knows how to bring you joy
Warnings - Mostly angst with a hint of fluff in the end

Benedict opened the door into your personal study just at the very moment you held your head in your hands, a singular piece of paper on the desk in your mother's writing and some tears were evident on the paper. He panicked, closing the door right behind him as he walked into the study.
“Darling?” He asked, making his way over to your side as you were attempting to hide your tears from him. But it was no use, some of the tears were stashing the letter now as Benedict reached for your clammy hand. You laced your fingers together, Benedict coaxing you to look at him and see his eyes that were filled with worry and the worst thoughts.
“My mother,” You simply stated, Benedict’s eyes moving from you to the tear-stained paper. He took the letter with his spare hand, scanning the letter rapidly with his eyes as you were attempting to wipe the tears away. From what he was reading and digesting in the letter, it all was negative feedback at your mother’s usual tactics in trying to make you feel bad for being a Bridgerton wife. Benedict was already on thin ice with her because of his family name, your mother was far too traditional for her daughter to be courted by a family that had a so-called “reputation” among the elite and upper class.
Yet you never cared, you are simply in love with Benedict and his love for art and life. You two fell for each other hard and fast, courting for several months before you broke the engagement to your mother. She was shocked, thinking of it as another scandal in the making, and was instantly against it. No matter how many times you told her Benedict was a good man, giving her proof of a suitable living situation and his contributions to art and the community, she only focused on his last name and the scandals of the past.
Even a year later she still spoke ill towards you and your new family, which made it worse for you.
Benedict could only sigh as he placed the letter to the side and reached over to embrace you in his arms. The last thing he wanted to do was upset you more since he could say plenty of ill things to his mother-in-law. You placed boundaries with her when you and Benedict were married, knowing that it was the best way to both be happy and to have a relationship with her. But of course, your mother never minded the jabs every now and then, to which Benedict’s dislike for her was growing by the day. Yet you never let those words deter you from your love for him, making Benedict all the more proud to be your husband.
“I can’t believe she disinvited us to her home for Christmas,” You mumbled into his shirt, Benedict told you a bit tighter as you were clinging onto him for support, “I thought she was turning a corner with us and how she feels about us.”
“As did I, Darling,” Benedict hummed in agreement as he pressed a kiss in your hair, “But your mother is set in her ways, which is no excuse for how she treats her own kin,”
“I thought it would be better for her since my father died,” You said in a whisper, “He loved you. I wish he was here to speak reason with her,”
Benedict pushed the hair out of your eyes as he made you look up at him. Your prestige bright eyes that he loved and adored were pouring into his as he gave you a somber look.
“I’m so so sorry, you don’t deserve that,” He calmly said to you as he pressed his forehead against yours, “You know that you have my family who adores you. My sisters are obsessed with you, and my brothers always tell me I’m a lucky man to have you. Especially Anthony, he tells me daily until he’s blue in the face,”
You cracked a grin, Benedict chuckling at the sight of you finally smiling.
“I know it hurts, what your mother is doing to you. But you still have a family, with my own mother, and my siblings. And of course with me. I’m your family, okay?” He asked, you sighed and nodded your head as he kissed you softly. Every time your mother shot you down and made you feel small, Benedict built you up and made you strong. Fresh flowers in your vase by your bedside, new paintings and sketches that he was inspired by as a gift to you on your birthday or anniversary, and simply giving you the love and affection that he knew you craved.
“Now If I know my mother, she would be over the moon to host the pair of us for Christmas, along with the rest of the family,” Benedict said to you as he helped you out of the chair and wrapped an arm around you, “It’s already been decided actually: Anthony and Kate will be there along with Daphne and Simon.”
“Sounds lovely, Benedict,” You said with a giggle, feeling him peck you with kisses all over your face as you were giggling and trying to duck away from him. A chorus of laughter was heard from your study, changing the mood from somber and sadness to lightness and joy.
Benedict would do that every day just to bring a smile to your face.
The End

Oooo for the title game
1. Repeat Until Death
2. Forget Me Nots and Honeyed Thoughts
💙💙
Hi lovely! 🫶
Welllllll now
Repeat until death
Unlike talented angst queens such as yourself, I’m not going to take this as literal death hehe. I’m going to go la petit mort and have probably Anthony trying to make his lady pass out from multiple orgasms hehehe. Just pleasuring her for hours and hours.
Forget Me Nots and Honeyed Thoughts
Aww well, ever since I wrote Moments, Benedict will forever be associated with Forget Me Nots. So this has to be a Regency Benedict story. The honeyed thoughts make me think of him beekeeping at their Cottage, being so proud the first time he is able to harvest honey from the hives and surprising his wife with a romantic picnic where they enjoy the honey and he gives her a bunch of forgot me nots that grow in the wild next to the hives. Just a sweet sweet romance fic 🧡
Thanks for this ask lovely 😁🧡🧡

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐍 𝐒𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐂𝐇

Pairing: Benedict Bridgerton x oc!fem!
Warnings: none, just pure fluff
The gardens of Aubrey Hall were in full bloom, and yet Benedict Bridgerton found himself utterly unmoved by roses.
A dozen young ladies fluttered about the main lawn, dressed in spring’s best pastels, their laughter floating through the air like birdsong.
Footmen carried lemonade. A quartet played something light and lovely. Children tossed hoops in the distance.
It was all perfectly charming.
And terribly dull.
He had lasted longer than usual, even managing polite conversation with three mothers, two debutantes, and one lady whose name he’d already forgotten. That was enough social heroism for one day.
Benedict excused himself with a smile, slipped through a break in the hedges, and headed toward the quieter part of the grounds—the part his family rarely fussed over. It was wilder there. Less sculpted.
Trees were allowed to grow as they pleased. Grass danced past ankle height. Daisies had claimed the edges of the path with gentle rebellion.
He preferred it.
Tucked under his arm was his sketchbook. In his hand, a pencil. In his chest, a familiar ache that always appeared this time of year—the pull to create something, anything, that wasn’t bound in manners and expectations.
And that’s when he saw her.
She was seated on a worn stone bench beneath an old elm tree, set slightly apart from the trimmed lawn and its polite society.
A book rested open in her lap, though her eyes weren’t on the page. Instead, she looked upward—at the canopy of branches above, the fractured sunlight, something only she could see. Her expression was soft. Thoughtful. Entirely unguarded.
He froze.
He didn’t recognize her.
That wasn’t unusual—plenty of guests had arrived with cousins and distant relations—but this girl didn’t fit into the world he’d just escaped.
There was no fan in her hand, no calculated posture. Her gown was buttercream yellow, simple but lovely. Her gloves were crumpled beside her, forgotten.
Naturally, that made it impossible not to notice her.
Benedict lowered himself onto a patch of grass several feet away, using the wide trunk of another tree as cover. He opened his sketchbook, set pencil to paper, and began.
She became lines first. The arch of her neck. The angle of her cheek. The downward curve of her lashes. Her posture was regal without effort. Her hair, though pinned, had wisps falling from it—sunlight catching on those strands like threads of gold.
He captured her mid-thought, gaze tilted toward the sky. There was something curious about her stillness—an air of waiting, or watching, or both.
Benedict wasn’t sure how long he sketched. Time blurred when he drew. He added shading to her collarbone, the suggestion of a breeze tugging at her hem.
Then—she looked up.
His pencil stilled.
Their eyes met across the space between them, and Benedict braced for it—for the wide-eyed offense, the indignant flush, the scolding.
Instead, she smiled.
Not coyly. Not flirtatiously. Just… knowingly.
And then she looked away.
He blinked, stunned.
She’d seen him. And she didn’t mind.
Later, the garden grew quieter as the guests were called inside for music and dancing. A few stragglers lingered, but the performance of the day was done. The sun slipped lower, gilding the trees in honey. Still, she didn’t move.
And neither did he.
When she finally stood, Benedict pretended to study his sketchbook. He wasn’t ready for the spell to break.
But she walked toward him.
He looked up, startled. She approached with graceful purpose, hands folded at her waist. Up close, he could see that her necklace was a small locket, and her gloves—still held loosely—were embroidered with tiny flowers.
“Mr. Bridgerton,” she said. Her voice was warm, clear. A touch amused.
“You know me,” he said, finding his footing. “That hardly seems fair. I was hoping to sketch you anonymously.”
“You weren’t exactly subtle.”
His mouth twitched. “Ah. So I’ve been caught.”
She tilted her head, her eyes flicking briefly to the edge of the page still visible in his lap. “I suppose I should be flattered.”
“You should,” he said honestly. “But I imagine you’re too clever for that.”
That drew a quiet laugh. “Maybe.”
She reached into the small reticule at her side and pulled out a folded piece of parchment.
“For you.”
He took it without question. Their fingers brushed.
“Is this a calling card?”
“A fair exchange,” she said, turning to leave. “Good evening, Mr. Bridgerton.”
And just like that, she was gone—moving with unhurried elegance through the tall grass, back toward the house, her yellow gown catching the dying light.
Benedict looked down at the parchment in his hand.
He opened it.
Inside was a sketch.
Of him.
Seated under the elm, sketchpad in hand, brows furrowed in focus. She had caught him mid-thought, his posture relaxed but alert, pencil to paper, a hint of concentration at the corners of his mouth.
It was excellent. Better than excellent.
And beneath it, written in delicate script:
“It seems we’ve both been watching.”
Benedict’s breath caught. He laughed, low and disbelieving.
He folded the drawing and placed it carefully between the pages of his own sketchbook.
Later that night, as candlelight shimmered off crystal chandeliers and violins spun their golden melodies into the corners of Aubrey Hall, Benedict stood just beyond the ballroom’s threshold, eyes searching the crowd.
He didn’t see her at first.
Then—there.
She stood beneath the glow of a candlelit sconce, halfshadowed, watching the dance floor as if she were observing a painting rather than waiting for an invitation to step into it.
She wore a pale lilac gown now, the color of twilight, and her hair had been re-pinned with something small and silver at the crown. Her locket still hung at her throat. Her expression—serene, curious—hadn’t changed.
Benedict’s steps carried him forward before he’d even decided to move.
She noticed him approaching and smiled before he spoke, as though she’d expected him all along.
“I was hoping I’d see you again,” he said softly, offering his hand.
“I thought you didn’t enjoy balls,” she teased, placing her hand in his.
“I don’t,” he replied. “But this evening has given me reason to reconsider.”
They stepped onto the floor as the music changed—something gentle and slow, the kind of song that asked for no words.
They danced for a full minute in silence. Just movement. Just breath. Just the hum of something unspoken between them.
Then—his voice, just above a whisper:
“You never told me your name.”
“I suppose I didn’t,” she said, her gaze lifting to meet his.
“Would you?”
She smiled—not shy, not bold, just the sort of smile a woman gives when she already knows the answer.
“Lady Evanthe Calista Lysandell.”
Benedict blinked. “Evanthe… Calista… Lysandell.”
“You look overwhelmed,” she teased, the corners of her eyes crinkling.
“I just wasn’t prepared,” he said honestly.
She laughed then, soft and musical. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“You should,” he murmured, eyes never leaving hers. “It suits you.”
Her fingers tightened slightly in his, their dance forgotten, the music fading into background.
And there, in the glow of a thousand candles, beneath a name he could barely pronounce but would never forget, Benedict Bridgerton smiled.
Because Lady Evanthe Calista Lysandell wasn’t just a name.

A Ruby
Anthony Bridgeton x plus-size reader
warning: none! pure fluff maybe a little risky thoughts but just one of two// fem reader
summary: Anthony purposes!! a lot of build up to it but its cute. Anthony is down bad for reader. Switches p.o.v
/// my x readers are confident in themselves for the most part, this reader is a little insecure about her personality. just for a second tho
Being in your second year of the marriage mart has proven to be rather dull. Party after party man after man. You were rather popular amongst the ton, your dance card always full. But no one had a marriage proposal for you yet. It was quite disappointing to say the least.
"It's my turn, yes?" Anthony Bridgerton, your a friend of Bridgerton house Daphne helped you in your first year. Her mama and the family seem to have taken a liking to you.
"So it is my lord." you take his held out hand sliding your glove across his skin. Taken to the floor guided by Mr. Bridgerton peoples stares feel like little knives in your skin.
"How is your season going?" he spoke so casually with you.
"Rather disappointing my lord." you sigh. It was hard to talk in a dance but for some reason he had always tried.
"Something the matter?" you glance around the room taking the time that your pulled apart to think. Then he was back his look of concern stuck on his face.
"I seem to be popular don't I?" he nods while being pulled away again.
"But I have yet to get a proposal, it leaves me to wonder what i'm missing." and then the music stopped but Anthony stayed in place, his thumb gliding over your knuckles.
"I think it is the men at fault, you seem perfectly fine." he smiled and finally walked you off the floor. You would have thought he has taken a liking to you but he always spoke to you like this. His mother raised him well, and while she knew you didn't need it she asked him to dance with you at every party.
"Thank you Mr. Brigerton." a small smile on your face. He must have forgotten to let go of your hand because he doesn't, he takes you over to his family who seemed to be crowding one spot. You pull your hand out of his ignoring how he looks at you. It would give his family the wrong impression he had to have known that.
"Mrs. Bridgerton what a lovely gown!" you beam, she was a very nice and strong woman anyone with that many children is. She turns away from the Bridgerton circle smiling widely.
"Yes, you as well!" She sounded a little nervous.
"What are you doing?" Anthony spoke up his voice a little stern.
"Nothing we were just talking..." The group behind her fell apart smiling at their brother.
"Brother! Done with your dance already?" Colin spoke up looking between the two of you.
"Of course." Anthonys brows untwist themselves.
"um if you don't mind my lord I must be going." You look around to see your mama calling you over.
"You must?" he sounds almost pleading, it sends a wave of heat up your spine.
"Yes my mama seems to have a hand in filling up my card." you look at her while she's talking to another suitor, she wanted nothing more than to see you married.
"Yes.." he nods and you say your goodbyes. They really were a sweet family it's such a shame you couldn't marry into it. Just the thought alone made you smile but of course that will never happen.
---
"Tonight was not the night brother?" Benedict's hand clasps around his brother's tense shoulder.
"No we barely spoke, her mother is relentless." he glares at the woman. She has yet to stop looking for a match even though you are doing well enough on your own. Truth be told he was the one behind your lack of proposals if he had it his way other men wouldn't even look at you. But he needed to buy himself time to ask for your hand and to make sure you would take his.
"All of them are." Benedict was the only one he informed about his plans.
"Everything would fall in place soon." he smiled never taking his eyes off you for very long. The rest of the night he watched you dance with other men clenching his fist if they grazed your skin.
He supposed he shouldn't blame you for trying to find a match but in his mind you were already his. Your skin was so soft and practically glows, your pinned up hair exposing your neck. He wouldn't dare to think about lower than that, he was a gentleman.
When he lies in his bed his mind still wonders to you. He should have asked you on your first year in the marriage mart but he didn't know what he felt then. Daphne brought you home giggling girls walking hand and hand. How could he not fall in love with you the more he got to know you the more smart, kind, and beautiful he found you to be. Sure you were more of a woman than some but that didn't lead him astray.
Waking from his dreams (of you of course) he heard a very familiar laugh. He made himself presentable as quickly as he could trying to look charming. What are you doing here? Though he didn't mind seeing you as soon as he opened his eyes, he would have preferred you in the bed with him but still. He followed the sound of your voice leading him to the drawing room he cracked the door open just to make sure it was really you.
You sat across from his mother a tea cup in your pretty hands. He cleared his throat as he walked into the room amused by your little jump. His mother greeted him with a smile and so did you placing the tea cup on the table.
"Anthony! I thought you were still sleeping." Mother stood from her seat coming for a hug he thought, but she went for the snack table instead.
"I would have been here sooner if I had known we had company." he comes to sit next to you on the couch taking the opposite side.
"It's just me my lord." you spoke up, he frowned.
"Yes I see it is you." he looks you up and down admiring the lovely emerald green dress you wore.
"Well I invited her over because Daphne said she would be here." Mother sits back down placing a plate in front of you, she filled it up with snacks.
"Then where Is she." he looked from you to the plate then leaned forward taking a biscuit off the plate. He really just wanted to get a little closer.
"Those aren't for you." his mother warns.
"She doest mind." he smiles slouching back into his corner of the couch. Mother roles her eyes he should be nothing but a perfect gentleman but it was entertaining to annoy his mother.
"Maybe I should have come later in the day, it seems she may take awhile." you ignore his pleading eyes keeping yours on his mother's.
"No, I enjoy having you here. The children are busy these days." he could see your body relax.
"Busy being married." Daphne interrupts the room.
"Daphne!" you stand making your way toward his sister. He wished he had more time to speak with you but Daphne was here and the two of you rarely separate.
He watched as you hugged and laughed with her, who knew he would be jealous of his own sister. You dragged her over to the couch wedging her between you and him. And while he can listen to you talk for hours he says his goodbyes waving off his sister's objections.
----
"so any new proposals?" you shake your head.
"No proposals at all." you sigh, it was vexing to no end. What could be so off about you that you couldn't get a least one proposal.
"That's strange there must be at least one?" you shake your head again.
"I must have a terrible personality." a small laugh escapes your lips.
"I don't think that's it, I keep good company." she smiles.
"Well I don't know what it is then." you huff slumping into the couch. Mama wanted you married this season she said to dull yourself down. She must think it was your strong personaitly as well.
"I'm sure this season will prove to have more luck." you scoff.
"It has to, i'm the last one to marry." every one of your siblings has a family of their own leaving you alone to your parents lecturing.
"Everything will work out." Mrs. Bridgerton chimes in, honestly you forgot she was there.
"Yes. So Daphne how's your...husband?" you wanted to deflect from your failed season.
"Well even though I know it's just to stop talking about you it's going quite well." she goes on to talk about her happy marriage and the very exciting news of her expecting.
Seeing Daphne was a nice reminder that you should push extra hard this season. Daphne spent the day with you but you left before dinner saying your goodbyes to the family. Every single one of them was a reflection of their mother whether they know or not.
Going back home was always a quick ride, you lived just around the corner. In two days there's another ball and in those two days you will change yourself. You are going to be married this season no matter what.
---
"You should hurry with your proposal." Anthony leaned back in his chair. He's been working in his office trying to ignore the urge to see you.
"I don't know what you're talking about." she crossed the room standing in front of his desk.
"She thinks there's something wrong with her." he frowned. He was taking to long he knew that but he wanted everything to be perfect.
"I'm going to ask soon don't worry." he dismissed her waving his hand around.
"You must haste, before someone else does." he glared at his overly observant sister. Then she left the room abandoning him in a deafening silence. He should ask for your hand after the next ball he'll pull your mother and you aside and just ask. Of course he would ask your father first but he was overseas and he couldn't wait another day.
He stayed awake going over the made up scenarios again and again. He should look his absolute best not a hair out of place, he was sure you would look just as good. Not that he has ever seen you in a bad state. He would have to ask Mother for her ring tomorrow. Even through the crippling anxiety he was rather ecstatic to marry. He would have to have the ring sized. (and he ofc knows which size to get.)
Then as soon as he blinked the ball was here. He had made sure to get the ring so now all he needed was his breath taking bride. A smile plastered on his face the whole way there. When he saw you it knocked all the air out of his lungs. You were wearing his favorite color a beautiful purple with many little lavernder flowers along the bottom. Your neck line was square showing off your blinding neckless, your gloves were a silk dark purple reaching just past your elbows.
You must know how your dress would make all the blood rush to his head, you had to be doing this on purpose. He got to your side as quick as he could allow himself. Tonight was your night he needed to be the perfect gentleman.
"You look lovelier than usual." he keeps his hands behind his back. You jump a little but turn away from the snack table, a half eaten eclair still in your hand.
"Thank you, mother let me pick my dress for this evening." you look down at yourself then back up at him so quickly it made him dizzy.
"Well you have fine taste." he leaned a little closer than socially acceptable. "I was wondering if I could have a word." he watched as your breast rise and fall quicker than before he leaned in.
"yes of course my lord." he leaned back smiling as wide as he knew how.
"Honey! What are you doing over here?" your mother rushed over taking the eclair from you placing it back on the table.
"I'm speaking with lord Bridgerton." your mother nods in his direction but doesn't look at him.
"Yes, well I have a gentleman over there who would love to speak with you." your mother smiles and turns you to look at the rather plain looking man across the room.
"Actually I would like to speak with you, if I may." you both look at him now, you look a lot like your mother at least in this moment.
"Yes of course! I would be delighted. Why don't you go talk to lord Salon, dear." she pushed you away. You look back but continue on anyways.
"What would you like to speak about Mr. Bridgerton." she put on the best smile she could but kept glancing at you.
"I would like to ask for your permission to Marry your daughter." her mouth hung open for a while.
"If you will have me of course." he added and her face lit up.
"Yes! Yes we would love- I mean I will have to tell her father! And her dowery may not be as much as we would like-" she starts rambling but her smile never leaves, her hands flying around.
"That's no problem we have money, I just need her." he turns to look at you.
"Ah i'm so excited!" he hugged him squeezing him a little.
"If you don't mind I would like to ask her as well." she breaks away shooing him toward you.
"go, go !" he practically runs to you and when he reaches you your already turning to him.
----
"Did I do something to upset Mr. Bridgerton?" Lord Salon eyes widen at the seemingly angry man rushing toward you. You turn to him watching the room as he pulls you away.
"Lord Bridgerton?" you ask, the way he was smiling made you a little scared.
"Lady Y/L/N, will you marry me?" you twist your brows and feel your hands already sweating.
"Excuse me?" he pulls out a ring and takes your hand sliding the ring on your finger; It fit perfectly
"I would love for you to join my family, for us to start a new family. I have watched and waited for what feels like forever just to get this chance. You have sparked something inside me something I can not live without." he brings his left hand up to your face brushing his hand across your cheek.
"I-uh.." you start laughing a little, your eyes starting to water. "I will- I will marry you Lord Bridgerton." and then the room rips into cheers and claps. You gasp at the sound forgetting you were even in the public eye.
"I promise to make you the happiest woman in the world." he whispered in your ear before turning you to face the crowd holding his hand in yours

Will there be a new Part of To Be Alone With You ?
To Be Alone With You (Part Seven)
Anthony Bridgerton x female!sharma!sister!reader
Mentions of Benedict and reader
Warnings: ANGST, so much ANGST, swearing, Violet Bridgerton giving advise, Edwina feeling betrayed, Kate giving advise, we learn that Edwina is not in love with Anthony and never was, a few uses of Y/N just as a placeholder, ITALICS ARE A FLASHBACK, this got a lot longer than expected.
a/n: The official ending is going to be Anthony. He was the original ending and I think that there is so much potential with him and the reader. However, I will be making an ending for Benedict fans (me too) and it will be written as an alternate ending.
Summary: As the wedding between Anthony and Edwina nears, you must decide if your love for the viscount is worth sacrificing your relationships with your sisters, Benedict, and potentially yourself.

Dearest, Gentle Reader,
It appears that while the Viscount Bridgerton is engaged with one Edwina Sharma, the same can not be said about his eyes. Last night during the Featherington's Ball, it appeared that Lord Bridgerton's eyes were on one particular Sharma sister, who was not his betrothed. With the wedding so near, this author fears that this engagement will end in scandal and not a wedding. Let us not forget that Mr. Benedict Bridgerton also seems to be smitten by a Sharma sister. Will the Bridgetons have two weddings on their hands this year?
Lady Whistle down, Society Papers 1814
---
"Brother, I had not known you were taking it kindly with a Sharma," Anthony said, a glint in his eyes. "Is it Miss Kate Sharma? I've seen you look at her a few times."
Eloise had been reading Whistledown to the family hours prior to the brothers gathering into Anthony's office for a few drinks, to celebrate the engagement and the wedding so near.
"Kate? Absolutely not. She is a wonderful woman, strong headed, beautiful, but is more so a sister to me than a potential bride," Benedict stated, rather off put by the idea of marrying Kate. She was a lovely lady, one like a sister to him. She was just not who he had his eyes on.
"Well that only leaves one other Sharma brother," Colin said, nervous at his brothers realization.
"NO!" Anthony declares. "Not her!"
Benedict looks up with a sly smile, not realizing that Anthony knew of them.
"Yes, Miss Y/n Sharma is a lovely woman who has quipped my interest," Benedict says, smiling as he takes a sip of his drink.
"Have you compromised this woman?"
"I am a gentleman, brother," Benedict says, but his smile gives it away.
"You have!" Anthony states, he already knew from the note he left you when he snuck out of your bedroom all those weeks ago.
"Yes and I am not proud of it, I am simply waiting for your wedding to be over so I may propose. No need to steal your spotlight."
Anthony debated on telling Benedict that she was already compromised before he got to her. Now with the talk of marriage, his brother deserved to know.
"Brother, I must confess something that I am not proud to say."
"And that is my cue to leave," Colin said, bidding goodnight as he knew what was to come.
"Miss Sharma was already compromised when you laid with her during your art session," Anthony said quickly before downing the burning liquid from his glass, grabbing the bottle to pour more.
"But how would you know that?" Benedict said, confusion growing onto his face. "And why would you know that?''
Anthony takes in a deep breath before turning back to his brother.
"Because the man who compromised Miss Sharma was me."
Benedict, now standing, paces across the floor as he takes big breaths to keep his cool. He then turns to Anthony, storming up to him and grabbing his collar.
"You fucked her and then left her?" He yelled, anger flashing across his face. He was fuming. Anthony had never seen this kind of emotion in his brother before. Benedict was always the calm one. Always the one who kept his cool when it came to getting angry. This was new.
"I did not intend-"
"You compromise that woman and then propose to her sister!"
"Ben-"
"And then what? Don't tell me you knew of the two of us!"
Anthony looked down at the floor, Benedict stepped away from him for a moment.
"Do.not.tell.me.that.you.knew.of.my.feelings.for.her!"
"I knew not of your feelings, just your actions," Anthony said. "I told her that she should choose you because I was engaged to her sister. It was before my engagement, before all of the wedding talk, and before you set your eyes on her."
"How many times did you sleep with her?" Benedict asked, tears in his eyes.
"It only happened, maybe a few times."
"Did any of it happen after you found out about her and I?"
Anthony doesn't answer immediately but based on his silence, Benedict already knew.
"Brother, I love her!" Benedict yelled, hurt and betrayal creeping in his voice. "And you aimed to take her away from me!"
"I love her, Benedict. I tried to stop it. I tried to stop my feelings but I couldn't. I wanted to leave her alone after I found out about the two of you," Anthony says.
"But you did not!" Benedict yelled back at him, his blood boiling.
"It was Miss Sharma who ended things between the two of us, Ben. I told her that I loved her and then realized that it made me weak. I could not let her feel the same pain as Mother did after Father's death."
"You don't get to keep using that excuse, Anthony!" Benedict cried. "We have given you so many passes because of that one excuse and I understand how much Father meant to you but you do forget that I was close in your age when Father died as well. It is as though everyone forgets that he was my father too."
"Brother-"
"You have always been seen as strong and brave and mature for taking over the head of the house, but forget that you are not the only one who has the burden of remembering Father's passing." Benedict says, "I used to stand there, outside your study, listening to your pen scribbling across papers. I would listen to the sounds of you stumbling through the office and papers falling along with books from the shelves as you make your way back to your seat because you were so overcome with sleep. I would want to reach out to help you but it was not my place. I had to lose my father and watch my brother lose himself. So for you to deprive yourself of happiness, it is the worst mistake you could make."
"I have to protect her from it, brother. I will not let Y/n face the same pain and fate Mother did."
"Brother, you can not hide from love. It will find you. It always does. You can choose to turn away from it or you can embrace it with everything you have," Benedict walks over to his brother, a man who is clearly struggling to contain his emotions as he stands before his younger brother.
Benedict grabs the back of Anthony's neck, comforting him.
"Make it right with her brother, if you love her within half of what you claim, make it right."
Benedict turned and walked out of the office, leaving Anthony in the candle lit room alone.
---
"Whistledown writes lies," Edwina states, holding the piece of paper. "Anthony does not have eyes for one of you, does he?"
"Never," Kate says. "He is completely entranced by you."
You sit with a book as you listen to them. Edwina had been growing weary of the wedding. Almost having second thoughts before deciding that she would continue. You remember the conversation with her and Kate.
---
You three girls were all gathered in the library, looking through the old books as you gossiped about the ladies of the Ton.
"Did you see how Lady Datherington was dangling onto Lord Kemp?" Kate asked?
"I don't know if I want to continue with the wedding," Edwina says softly. "I am just not sure if he is the one for me."
"What makes you say that?" Kate asked.
"Yes, you seemed happy with the courtship," You said.
"It just seems as though we are not meant to be, rather that he may be interested in someone else."
"Someone else?" Kate questioned, looking at you for support.
"Darling, he is not interested in anyone else. You are the diamond of the season, why would he be interested in someone else instead."
"But that is the issue, Y/n, why isn't he interested in a different woman?" Edwina says, confusing the both you and Kate.
"Do you want him to be interested in someone else?" You ask.
"It would make more sense than him being interested in me just because the queen said he should be," Edwina says. "He doesn't even want a love match. He just wants a wife to take care of his home."
"His huge home," Kate gives a nod.
"Kate, I think what she means to say-"
"Not what I mean to say, what I am saying is that he doesn't love me so why is he so committed to this marriage? Why does he not try to get to know me if he wants to be my husband?"
You move to hug her and Kate does the same. At this very moment, you ponder if you should tell her that you were in love with her future husband, and a small part of you hoped that she would forgive. You thought that it would be a good time to tell her, give it to her while we are on the topic of the viscount, but just as you open your mouth, Edwina states that she is to still marry him.
"I suppose that I must marry him with the wedding so close. I can not pull out now," Edwina says with a small smile.
"You are to still marry him?" You asked.
"Well, I have to now since the wedding is in two weeks."
"What would make you not marry him?" You asked, Kate looked at you confused.
"Why do you ask?" Kate says slowly.
"Because I would want to know what it would take for a man not to marry me."
"I suppose him telling me he was in love with another woman because I would not want him to be in a loveless marriage and yearn for another," Edwina says.
"Anything else?"
"Maybe if the woman told me she loved him as well." ---
You close the book you are reading when a piece of paper falls out of it, Anthony's note. You had not seen it since the morning you found it laying on your bedside table. You quickly move to grab it, but Edwina swoops it in her hands from the floor.
"Look Kate, Y/n has a secret love letter!" Edwina squeals.
"I had no idea you were getting letters from gentlemen," Kate teases, walking up beside Edwina as you stare at the piece of paper in horror.
Edwina starts to read aloud, "My Dearest, Miss Sharma."
"Oh my, it has a comma after Dearest," Kate gushes as she beams brightly.
"I love you as deeply as the deepest parts of the oceans and even further than that," Edwina reads on, smiling as she does so. "I wish there was a way to sleep in the same bed as you. To stay in the same home with you, to hold you love as close as I can until it was the only thing I knew."
"Oh Y/n, this man is deeply taken with you!" Kate beams as she runs to hug you tightly. "You must tell us what his name is! Oh and we must tell Mama!"
Edwina's eyes grow large, her smile dimming and horror falls onto your face. Kate turns back to Edwina and tilts her head in confusion.
"Bon, is everything alright?"
"Why would you do this to me?" Edwina says, staring at the paper.
"Edwina, I can explain."
"How could you do this to me?" Edwina says again, anger growing into her voice. " 'How I wish I were able to say "I love you, Mrs. Bridgerton. My viscountess."' "Do these words ring any bells? And the "A.B."?"
"Edwina, please!" You start to shake your head at her. "I am truly sorry. I never meant-"
"He wrote to you that he wanted to marry you in a different reality, one where he was not marrying me and that he may actually be able to marry for love!" Edwina cries at not the thought of him not being faithful to their courtship and engagement but because it was you he was being unfaithful with.
"Edwina, all of that was before he announced your engagement," You plead. "I did not expect for Lord Bridgerton to be interested in me nor I in him. I did not want this to happen. I cut it off because I saw how happy you are with him."
"So at every ball, when the two of you danced, you loved him? Or was every insult you said to him was truly a love confession?"
Kate stood there in shock as she read the first line, "I awoke with a perplexed train of thought as I watched you blissfully sleep."
"Did the two of you do what married people do?" Kate asked, interrupting the two of you.
"I...Yes, we did but it was not something that I knew to be the marital act at all."
"Y/N, he has compromised you and he has left you aside!" Kate said, anger slipping in as she thought of seeing Anthony.
"Edwina, I never meant to cause harm to you." You say, slowly walking to her, she steps back a few steps.
"It is not that I am happy with him because I am not," Edwina said, for the first time since the engagement she could speak how she truly feels. "I am not happy with Lord Bridgerton. And I can not make him happy. I am going into a loveless marriage and he is in love with my sister. I knew that he could never love me, I just never expected you to be the one he loved."
"Edwina-"
"I am not done!" She shouts, stomping her foot. "I foolishly expected that one day we could love each other but we cannot. I shared my doubts, my concerns, and my feelings with you, and this entire time, you were secretly the reason behind all of them. I am not upset that you love him or that he had secretly been meeting with you, I am angry because you felt as though you could not tell me your feelings for him."
"I am so sorry," You cry, shaking as you stood there in one spot, frozen due to your mistake.
"I thought we were closer than anyone," Edwina said. "And yet you could not tell me small things like how you took interest in Lord Bridgerton and you kept it from me."
Edwina walked out of the room, tears in her eyes, and you stood there in your spot until she had left completely before breaking down. Kate rushed to catch you as you slid to your knees as you cried.
"He said he loved me, Kate. He said he loved me. Why did he have to tell me that he loved me?"
"Shhh, I know. I know." Kate had only one thought as she held your shaking form in her arms, she was going to have a nice long conversation with Anthony.
"I never meant for this to happen," You cried. "I just wanted someone to love me and he said he did. I didn't mean for it to hurt her. I never wanted to hurt her. I just wanted someone to love me."
Kate gently takes your face in her hands and kisses your forehead.
"You are loved. You need not a man to love you. To love someone else is to first love yourself. You can not love someone else unless you are willing to accept love for yourself," Kate smiles. "Anthony is an idiot for making you feel this way. For that I am terribly sorry and you will survive because you have survived many things in this world for you are a woman.''
"But Edwina is upset with me."
"She is upset, but she is not angry. She understands that you love him, she is rather upset because you had not been truthful with your feelings."
"Do you think she will forgive me?" You ask, looking up at her with hope in your eyes along with unshedded tears.
"Oh darling, she has most likely forgiven you as soon as she walked out of the room. You know Edwina may be upset with you, but do not think that she doesn't love you or will not forgive you. She is just hurt."
"Kate, you have no idea how much I am going to miss you when you leave for India again."
"And I will miss you as well. But for now, lets not talk on that topic. I have a very important thing to do right now," She smiles.
"Oh of course," You move to get out of her arms.
"No silly, my important task is to hold you until you feel better," She smiles as she squeezes you tightly.
"But I already feel better," You giggle.
"Well at least until I feel better."
---
Anthony walks into his mother's drawing room as she sits there stitching up a pillow which she puts down when seeing the state of her son.
"What is it, my son?" Violet smiles softly.
"Mama, I made a huge mistake and I do not know how to fix it."
"Oh my son, come sit."
Violet moves a pillow and she pats the couch beside her. Anthony sits down and tears well up in his eyes.
"Oh, darling what troubles you?"
"I love someone and I can not possibly let her suffer a painful life as you have since Father," Anthony says as he struggles not to cry in front of his mother.
"Anthony, I have not lived a painful life." Violet places her hand on Anthony's cheek. Normally he would scold her or move away but he realized that he deeply craved his mother's touch.
"I shared a wonderful life with your father and when he died, it felt as though a part of me died, but without the love and heartache that I gained throughout our marriage, I would not have you or the rest of my children. I would be lost in this sea of life without having Edmund, but I have my children, the greatest honor of my life, to hold me anchored."
"But Mama, I can not have her suffer."
"And what do you think you are doing to her now?" Violet knew who her son was talking about and she knew how you were feeling.
"Mother, I can not let her love me. I can not rest peacefully if she were to be in pain and agony because of me!" Anthony's tears fell from his eyes, and Violet's thumb wipes them away.
"Oh my sweet, sweet Anthony, you put so much on yourself." She smiles sadly. "Are you saying that you do not deserve to have happiness with the one woman who not only loves you but understands you more than everyone else?"
"Well, not more than you," Anthony laughs softly. "I just do not know if I can let her love me openly and deeply."
"Son, you are so much like your father. He too struggled with accepting love, but when he did, he did it with so much embrace. He is extremely proud of you and he would want you to be loved as deeply as he loved me or I loved him."
"Mama, what have I done to deserve her love? I have brought her only suffering and I am not dead yet."
"My darling child, love is not something that one is deserving of because it should be unconditional," Violet smiles. "You know what you must do now?"
"Yes, I believe I do." Anthony smiles as he hugs his mother, Violet gasped in surprise at the action. He had not done so since he left for Oxford all those years ago.
"I love you, Mama."
Violet smiled and tears came to her eyes as she squeezed him tighter.
"I love you too, my son."
---
There was a thunderstorm and lightening was cracking against the sky and thunder boomed across the earth. You had crept into Edwina's room to talk.
"Edwina, I wanted to say I am sorry."
Edwina had not answered. She laid still on her bed.
"I have decided that I am going to tell Anthony that I am leaving for India with Kate and I thought I should also tell you."
As you were speaking, thunder clapped in the sky and a small whimper left Edwina's lips.
"Bon?"
Nothing but another whimper. You move to Edwina's bed and you sat down. Edwina looked over at you and you open your arms. She quickly rushed into your arms as you moved to her pillow. She wrapped herself in your arms and clung to you with wide eyes and a racing heartbeat.
"Edwina, you are safe. I have you, you are safe." You stroked her hair and you both slowly drifted off to sleep as the rain poured down from the sky, as if it was cleansing the earth of mistakes and washing your mistake with Edwina down with it.
"I love you Edwina," You said.
"I forgive you," She whispers before you hear snores drifting through the air.

Starting a new life (2)
bridgerton x reader
The chance of starting a new life was something one shouldn't take for grant. Using this time to discover more about themselves, they had haven't seen before as their past selves. When it comes to start over a new life there are times, they might lose their old selves on their journey.
y/n " ....." you are walking around the manor that you have been calling home for a very long time, a place that you had made new memories with Tristan who is still your beloved husband.
maid " good afternoon ma'am"
y/n " good afternoon do you know where can find that husband of mine"
maid 2 " in his office viscountess he has also been wondering where you, have been as well"
y/n " thank you" the maids soon left as you soon went to your husband office, the door was open as you walked inside.
y/n " hello my dear husband it good to see you and I feared I wouldn't, see you today"
Tristan " hello my beautiful wife I'm sorry I missed dinner I was, called to meeting at was very important and I couldn't get out of"
y/n " I understand but it good to have time with you now" you soon kissed Tristan forehead, making the man laugh as he stopped doing his work.
Tristan " I can't believe it has been a very long time since we came here, after all that happened in London"
y/n " yes it has been a very long time"
Tristan "true words my wife and I will not disagree with you"
y/n " yes you are now a viscount/lord after your uncle had passed you down the inheritance, and we got to live for a long time with him here until he had left this world" Tristan had inherited his uncle land and titles after his death, he had been loved by his uncle and aunt who raised him in Scotland for sometime. They had reworded their wills leaving everything to him and his future wife, which was you. There was enough time for you to get to know the couple before, they left this world.
Tristan " yes I still miss him and my aunt to this day I wish they saw what, I have done to legacy they left me"
y/n " they are still by everyone in the house and the lands, but everyone knows you are right to be their heir no one else they are proud of you"
Tristian " proud of us they both loved you and knew you are the right lady for me"
Tristan " speaking our families and everyone else from the ton... minus Eloise and lady danbury"
y/n " I would say yes and no they are still stubborn and think less of you and me"
Tristan " well I love Scotland and I have my respect for lady whistledown for keep her working going, your sister is still a fan of her work"
y/n " yes still a fan of her work we talk about her article here and there, but doing some sister talk as well in letter... lady danbury has also been writing as well"
Tristan " yes and when the day comes we are called home or anyone finds the truth what should we do"
y/n " face it my husband as individuals and as a married couple"
Tristan " Then I will follow your lead my wife"
y/n " speaking of family if the time comes will it be be fine for Eloise to come stay with us, she will love to see more of the world and with her here it will be good for us and household"
Tristan " that sounds wonderful and if your younger siblings wish to come, they can come as well our home is always welcome to them"
Anna ( head maid) " excuse me graces a letter had arrived for you both, it about lady whistle down"
Tristian " thank you we will read it"
y/n " it most be important to be here sent by it self but how does lady whistle down know we will leave"
Tristan " she has her way some of her gossip has been sen here, day or weeks later" the butler soon handed you the column and soon left right away saying nothing else.
Dearest gentle readers,
It has come to this writer's attention after some investigation on my part, and whispers of others that the Lady y/n and Mr Tristan have been, victims of hurtful rumors of the ton. The awful gossip about Lady y/n has been proven to be misunderstandings and Greedy mamas, her relationship with Lord Christian son had ended on good terms as the man had feeling for other women confused to y/n who told him to follow his heart which he had done. The awful gossip of her flirting with other man has been false, as it was told she was talking about sports among the man that sparked her interest along with talking about other young ladies on marriage market. It seems like lady y/n was being helpful after seeing, previous years of marriage season. The only thing she had been reward by others was gossip by the ones she tried to help, and being outcast by ton society. Her meetings she had attended with older women of the ton were nothing nut friendly, finding ways to help London society for all the classes. Now regarding Mr Tristian it seems like all the news we had heard about him, had been made by his jealous no good cousin and no classmate, who which to bring down the young man from his life and standing. It seems like ton society had succeed on breaking the young lady and young man, as lady y/n had been sent away from her home by her own brother the viscount Bridgerton. It has been brought to my attention that viscount had some not good words, towards his sister that had been spoken by his other siblings as well.
Sadly the poor lady y/n had been report to leave that evening to help rebuild her family reputation, and not to ruin any of her family future of marriage and life. There have been some reports she had left that evening to stay at family friend home, and leave in the morning but it has been also two years since we have last seen the young lady after she was sent far far away from the place she called home . I myself feel sorrow for the young pair as they have been surrounded, by hypocrites from the Bridgerton family if we look back on their love stories along with many of other houses of the ton. Now we look towards lady y/n sister Eloise Bridgerton who been now facing the same fate of her big sister ever soon, will we be seeing Eloise leaving as well and never seeing her along with her sister ever again. The only thing that this author hopes is that lady y/n has been able to find some goodness, in her life far from the Ton. It seems like the shame should be on us all, for the treatment we had done on young pair let hope we never make the same mistake again.
Sincerely,
Lady whistle down
Tristan " it seems like truth out now"
y/n " yes now that is out more of the rumors that had been speed about us, will come out soon as well"
Tristian " it no time we will be receiving letters from your sister and lady danbury, your brother will come to country side looking for you to see you are not there"
y/n " well then I think we should pay a visit to London my dear husband"
Tristian " I love that my wife we have been having the my uncle old home there attended to, while we have been here and lady danbury those have the paperwork that makes me viscount like my older but different then him"
y/n " yes she will need to show the queen and court about the changes of work, but it will be good for us in the end"
Tristan " along it will help us save your sister form the ton as well"
y/n " if need I will be bring her with us and anyone else who wishes to escape the ton, vipers most of them have become”
Tristian “ it will be good to have more family in this house, as it seems like we have lacked in kids ourselves”
y/n “ family will come soon for the both of us, my dear husband now let’s tell the staff of our trip so we can get our affairs in order”
Tristian “ yes my love” The staff leaders had been called and told of the news, plans were made right away for the trip back to London. as You had sent word to your sister and lady danbury as you read over the, newest lady whistle down report.
y/n " I think I found out who lady Whistle down and I'm proud of her" you knew who was lady whistle down and smiled, as for ready to leave Scotland back to London. The couple left the next morning after speaking with their friends and the provinces leaders, as well everything was good and everyone wish them luck.
Tristian " are you ready to face everyone again"
y/n " yes I'm ready to face them as the new me and having you by my side, will make everything better" Tristan had nodded his head as the pair took off towards London, to facing everyone after being gone for so long. Some of the reunions will be heartwarming while others will be ice cold. The ton should be ready to face the new viscountess and viscount, because they are no longer the same individuals everyone had outcast as they were ready for defend themselves. The ton had thought lady whistle down had ripped them a new one, they had yet to see that couple had prepared for them. A new life does make a new person.

Can i have prompt #6 with Benedict Bridgerton?

A/N - I do like this request! Thanks for requesting this, my friend!
Funny Thing
Summary - Beneditc's childhood crush comes back, and Eloise calls him out because of it
Warnings - Just some fluff

“Benedict, we need to discuss this nonsense,”
“It’s not nonsense, sister, I wish not to discuss it any further,”
“Truth be told, your own scowl and bitter energy must be addressed before our guests are to arrive,”
That made Benedict look up from his sketch pad, seeing his younger sister with her book in hand waltz over to plop down on the chair next to his own in their sitting room. He saw the smirk she was giving him, to which he snapped his sketchbook shut and stuck the pencil in the back of his ear as Eloise spoke up again with the smirk even heard in her voice.
“Tell me, dear brother, when was the last time we spoke to the Hamptons?” She asked Benedict, who was thinking to himself for a long moment. It has been some time since the Hampton family has had relations with the Bridgerton, given the fact that they had to move away with their father’s new business opportunities that were on the other side of the country. In fact, the Bridgertons and the Hamptons grew up as neighbors, their parents were cordial with one another, and the children played together. The Hamptons had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. You, being the youngest girl and the third eldest, was close in age with Benedict and was more of a tomboy and willing to get dirty compared to your elder sister. Nonetheless, your childhood as neighbors and childhood friends was amazing and filled with laughter.
Benedict, like the rest of his siblings, felt his heartbreak when you and your family had to move away. He was almost a teenager at the time, already developing feelings for you around the same time your father shared the news with his own father about his new job. He thought of you as someone filled with adventure, not wishing to be the dainty flower that your mother wanted you to be, and you were never afraid to speak your mind. Holding back was never your nature, and Benedict found that enduring and perhaps attractive.
But as time went on, he found other girls and young women to fan the flame that was deep inside of him. But one afternoon, reading the paper in the social section merely because he was bored and looking at future galleries and upcoming events, he recognized a name.
Your family name. You all were coming back to your old stomping grounds for a few balls.
“Back when we were teens,” He replied, Eloise grinning as Benedtic shrugged, “You were far too young remember them,”
“Oh, I remember them far too well, especially the certain young daughter who made you trip over your own feet and fall face first in the mud,” Eloise reminded him, Benedict instantly throwing the pillow that his elbow was perched out in her direction. Thankfully, she ducked it just in time as she laughed, Benedict huffed and shot up from the couch, moving over to place his sketchbook on the mantel as Eloise spoke again.
“Benedict, we all knew you liked her,” She explained as Benedict scoffed.
“I never liked her in such a manner, merely as a friend,” He reasoned, though his sister was not buying it for one moment.
“Denial is not an attractive trait, Benedict. I should now, being the reader and all,” She advised him as he looked over his shoulder and glared at her, “Come now, I’ve heard she has taken to the arts and is quite good at identifying an original masterpiece and a fake. Being in a male-dominated field, I must say that is quite amazing and an eminence feet to conquer at one’s age.”
“I don’t wish to discuss it anymore,” Benedict said in a scoff, though Eloise eyed him in suspicion.
“Sounds like someone is still horning some pent-up feelings—“
“I do not want to see their face, hear their voice or their name for that matter. Stop talking about them,” Benedict said in a warning tone, but there was no real heat in it. He was defensive of course, merely because he had no clue as to how he was going to act in front of his old childhood friend and old crush. He merely never had someone as close to his heart as you, no one who seemed to know Benedict deeply and with affection. Other women tried to come close, and although the pleasure was amazing at the time, he still never felt that kind of affection when he did with you.
“Denial is a funny thing, brother. But it won’t last forever,” Eloise advised him calmly. Benedict could hear the sincerity in his sister’s tone, knowing that Eloise would never steer him wrong since she admired him as her older brother. As much as a pain that she was, Eloise still had pearls of wisdom that she would bring to her family in times of need. Maybe she sensed that he was using denial to hide the fact that he was nervous about seeing you, and she saw right through it.
Bless her.
“Ah, there you two are!” Benedict and Eloise looked over to see their mother and Matriarch, Violet Bridgerton, waltz into the room with two people behind her. Benedict knew it was the Hamptons, both himself and Eloise stood tall in greeting as your mother and father smiled at the two siblings, “I must have missed the pair of you. Our guests have arrived,”
Both Benedict and Eloise walked over to bow and shake hands with your parents, who smiled widely in greeting.
“I hope your travels were in your favor, Sir Hampton,” Benedict said to your father.
“Quite pleasant, actually. My wife and I are glad to be back at our stomping grounds,” your father replied, then looking over his shoulder, “You remember my daughter?”
Benedict looked, and his breath was instantly lost.
You were walking down the hallway in a mint green dress and curls in an elegant bun. The highlights in your hair, the softness of your skin with a hint of blush on your cheeks, even the infamous smile that Benedict knew you’d had all your life was etched on your face. You were taller, the twinkle in your eye and your smile as you two locked gazes at one another. No longer was he thinking of the young girl with gangly elbows, the young girl who could outrun him tenfold in a foot race.
He saw you as an ethereal being with the same smile that shined like the stars.
“I do,” Benedict replied in a breath as you approached him, bowing slightly as him as he did the same. When you two locked eyes again, it felt as if you two were young again. But it was different, the smile on Benedict’s face was infectious as he found his voice once more, “It’s a pleasure to see you again, Lady Hampton,”
“The same to you, Mr. Bridgerton,” You replied, Benedict, feeling his heart flutter from hearing your voice.
Eloise merely grinned, hiding her giggling behind her book.
The End.

Swan
Lord Alfred Debling x Reader (childhood crush on Benedict) about 2.5k words
1. PLEASE DO NOT STEAL!!! I WORKED VERY HARD ON THIS!!!!
2. NOT PROOF READ!!!
3. Yes I love Benedict but I needed a plot to don’t hate me😅
————————————————————————
Lady Y/N L/N was always called the Ugly Duckling. Not that she was ever actually ugly. More awkward in her younger years, especially compared to the beautiful Bridgetons, her closest friends.
She remembers the first time she was called that name. It was Benedict Bridgerton, her best friends’ brother, and the boy she had harbored feelings for as a child.
One day Violet Bridgerton was reading a book of stories to Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Y/N and Daphne. When they finished the infamous “Ugly Duckling,” young Benedict loudly declared the Y/N must be a swan, because she was an ugly duckling. This immediately caused Y/N to sob hysterically and Violet scolded Benedict while Lady L/N tried to console her daughter. Eventually the two children made up and it was forgotten. By Benedict, never by Y/N. She never forgot how those words made her feel.
Over the years, Y/N grew into both her features and her attitude. This was her third year on the marriage mart and it was no secret to the ton that Y/N would not be doing anything she did not want to do. She had a sharp wit and a tendency to find mischief. Many people, mainly the men, joked about who could “tame” her.
Maybe that’s why she was so drawn to Benedict. He seemed to radiate joy and light. Y/N wanted that. She wanted someone who would send shocks through her.
But that would never happen. Because now, as a grown woman, she hated Benedict Bridgerton.
————————————
Lord Debling was praying for the ball to end when he realized he had only been there about 5 minutes. He felt like a duck being hunted by a hound.
The mothers of the ton had set their sights on him. Their daughters were less intense but just as obvious.
He began lightly pacing, hoping for a hole to swallow him when he heard a shrill voice shout his name.
Oh God, he thought. Mrs Cowper, with her daughter Cressida in tow.
Lord Debling sighed, but did the gentlemanly thing and bowed.
“Lady Cowper, how are you this evening?” He asked politely.
Cressida flutter her eyes so fast a hummingbird would be jealous, “So much better now that I see you are here. Are you planning on dancing tonight?”
Fear ran through his body and he began to stutter, “Um, w-well I-I hadn’t..”
“Lord Debling!” It was his guardian angel, Lady Danbury. He felt relief fill his lungs and he turned to Mrs. Cowper and Cressida, “Excuse me.”
He rushed over to Lady Danbury and bowed before leaning to her ear, “Thank you!” He whispered.
Lady Danbury laughed lightly and patted his hand on top of hers, “Never fear, I promised your mother long ago to look out for you, and they looked ready to rip you to shreds.”
Lord Debling couldn’t help but nod. He tried to see the good in people but something about Cressida Cowper made him uneasy.
Something about the way she speaks down on everyone, her garish clothes, her unnatural hair shapes.
Alfred Debling never thought a love match would be in his future. The most he hoped for was a kindhearted friend to spend his days at home with. But that didn’t mean he didn’t have standards.
He didn’t want a fake person who would change the minute they were behind closed doors. He wanted someone real. Someone he could share life with, even if they were just friends.
“My mother would’ve loved this,” he mumbled softly. “Meeting people and dancing.”
Laney Danbury nodded in agreement. “Yes, your mother was a spirited and kind woman. And she would’ve put Lady Cowper in her place in a heartbeat.” She joked. Debling couldn’t help but laugh.
—————————
Y/N was miserable the entire carriage ride. Not only would she have to once again parade around like a peacock trying to catch a husband. It would more than likely fail. Her only solace was that she planned to escape to Penelope as soon as possible. But even the Featherington girl had been in social mourning since her whole plan with Colin blew up.
Stupid Bridgerton Boys, she thought to herself. They ruin everything.
“Y/N” she heard her mother’s gentle voice, “I know you hate this dear, but please try to have some fun!” Her mother was so genuine in her request, Y/N couldn’t help but smile. They didn’t need her to marry for money or title. She had that privilege.
Lady L/N knew something has shifted in her daughter. She never pushed Y/N to share, but she was worried. The spark had left Y/N’s eyes.
Y/ N grabbed her mother’s hand.
“I will try.” She said truthfully. Maybe she could force herself to enjoy one evening for her mother’s sake. She never meant for her mother to worry about her so much. As a child, her mother worried due to her talents in running off and climbing trees. Now she had all new worries, that Y/N might be sad, or lonely for a long time. No mother wants that.
—————————
Lord Debling was glancing around the room. Hoping for something, anything, to make the time go by faster.
When he glanced at the stairs he swears time stopped.
She was beautiful. She wore a cream colored gown with gold and silver thread embroidery. She glided down the stairs like she was floating. She didn’t have a large fake smile plastered on her face. She looked content but not overly excited.
“Beautiful is she not?” Lord Debling jumped at Lady Danbury’s voice.
“Yes,” he said. Then turning full attention back to the beauty on the stairs, “she certainly is… gorgeous.” He whispered.
Lady Danbury looked at poor Deblings face and almost chuckled. If he thought she was impressive to look at, wait until she spoke to him.
“That is Y/N L/N, daughter of some close friends of mine. She is a wonderful girl. Spirited.” Lady Danbury says with a knowing smile. “And, she is not yet married.”
Debling was now giving Lady Danbury his full attention. “She isn’t? Are you sure?” Lady Danbury normally would be offended at someone questioning her knowledge of the ton. But she took pity on him, this once.
“I’m sure. This is her third year out in society. She doesn’t need money or a title so she has the luxury of being picky. Although, most of the men in the ton find her to be too much to handle.”
Lady Danbury said gently. She loved and adored Y/N and knew she could be a bit much for some people.
This made Alfred Debling swoon. A woman who was unapologetically herself.
“Will you introduce me to her?” Lord Debling asked Lady Danbury.
This caught her slightly by surprise. He had never asked for her help meeting the women of the ton. He normally had no problem introducing himself to people. But she could tell by his eyes, he was begging.
“Alright.” She said taking his arm. “Follow my lead.”
———————————
After they descended the stairs, Lady L/N and Y/N thanked their host before heading into the main ballroom.
Y/N hadn’t seen the Bridgertons yet. Maybe. She would be safe after all.
“Duckie!” Hearing that name made Y/N cringe. There were only two people alive who still called her that name.
She turned cautiously and was greeted by both Colin and Eloise.
“She prefers Y/N, Colin. We aren’t children anymore.” Eloise scolded. She saw the hurt that would flash in Y/N’s eyes at the old nickname.
Colin, oblivious as ever laughed, “She’ll always be Duckie. Even her father called her that.”
At the mention of the late Lord Y/N everyone froze. Even Colin realized what he had done.
“I’m so sorry Y/N I didn’t mean to-“
Y/ N interrupted, “I’m going to get some air.”
And she all but ran away.
Eloise slapped her brother’s arm, “Great job Colin! We spoke to her for 10 seconds and now we’ll never speak to her again!”
It had been a year since Y/N had truly spent time with the Bridgerton family. Since her father’s death. Eloise had planned to ease their way back into her life. That clearly didn’t work. She should’ve known better to recruit Colin instead of Francesca.
————————
Alfred felt lightheaded as the approached Y/N. She was alone in the hallway. She excused herself from the ballroom and Lady Danbury insisted this was the perfect opportunity.
Y/N was staring out the hall window. Her mind was racing and she was praying for a distraction.
“Y/N! It’s so good to see you! How have you been darling?” Lady Danbury asked.
Y/N smiled. It was impossible to be in a bad mood around Lady Danbury.
“I’m doing well. How are you? I’ve heard about the new additions to your garden. Mama and I have been dying to see it.”
Alfred felt his heart jump at her smile. It was real. She was genuinely happy to see Lady Danbury. Maybe one day she would smile at him that way.
“Yes, the garden is in full bloom and ready for visitors. But I have someone here who wanted to meet you.” Lady Danbury gently pulled on Lord Debling’s arm, silently urging him to introduce himself.
“H-Hello Lady Y/N. I’m Lord Alfred Debling.” He choked out. Mentally cursing himself for stuttering.
Y/N was taken aback. A man wanted to meet her? A handsome man?
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lord Debling. I don’t believe I’ve seen you before.” Y/N said, mesmerized by his big, puppy dog eyes.
“Well I’ve been encouraged by my family to, um- get to know more people” He wasn’t sure how to explain his situation without blatantly saying he wanted a wife.
Y/N giggled. She knew exactly why he was here.
“I understand perfectly, Lord Debling. But I must warn you not everyone is worth getting to know.” Y/N said bluntly.
Alfred couldn’t help but smile.
“Is that so?” He started. “Perhaps you could escort me around the room and enlighten me to who is who?” He asked, mustering up all of the bravery he could.
Lady Danbury was shocked. Not only did Lord Debling offer Y/N his arm, she took it. Unheard of for both of them.
—————————
As the night carried on, Lady Danbury and Lady L/N watched happily as Lord Debling and Y/N walked circles around the room together.
Y/N talked on and on about everyone at the ball. Telling stories and sharing her personal experiences.
“And that is Lord and Lady Timsley. They are the oldest couple here.” She stated.
“Really?” Lord Debling asked. “How long have they been together?”
“52 years. They have a cottage close to ours in the country. Lord Timsley used to let me climb his Genovian Pear Tree. Until one day the branch I was on broke and I fell.” Y/N stated.
Alfred was shocked, “Good Lord! Were you alright?!”
Y/N couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes I was fine. My mother was furious and my father found the entire thing hilarious.”
Alfred couldn’t help but see the bittersweet look when she mentioned her father. It’s how he felt when anyone mentioned his mother.
“Is there anyone else here I should be wary of?” He asked, hoping to lighten the mood.
“Um-“ Y/N surveyed the room then sighed, “the only people left are the Bridgertons”
Lord Debling looked at her and immediately knew there was an issue, “Are they people to be wary of?” He asked.
“No. N-no. I just… “ Y/N started before she was interrupted by the one person she dressed to think of.
“Duckie! Where the devil have you been? It’s been ages!” Nearly shouted inebriated Benedict Bridgerton.
Lord Debling saw Y/N immediately go tense and he became on high alert.
Y/N could tell Benedict was drunk. He didn’t hold his liquor well. She briefly looked over to where the other Bridgestone stood and they all looked mortified.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me to your friend, Duckie?” Benedict smirked. “Names Bridgerton.” Benedict forcefully pushed his hand forward and eyed Debling. Almost challenging him.
Alfred took a few seconds and took in his surroundings. Y/N was visibly uncomfortable. Maybe if he found the confidence to talk to her. He could find it to defend her.
So he took a breath and grabbed the Bridgerton boy’s hand. Hard.
“Yes, Viscount Bridgerton. Lovely to meet you.”
Benedict’s faces dropped. “Um- no. That would be my older brother Anthony.
“Oh,” Lord Debling started, “terribly sorry, you are the one who just got back from travels. Tell me, how was Greece? I hear it’s beautiful.”
Benedict’s eyes hardened in the man. “That would be my younger brother.” He gritted his teeth.
Y/N was speechless. No one had ever truly challenged Benedict before. Even Anthony would let him win just to go away.
Before either man could speak again. Violet and Anthony stepped in.
“Benedict, dear it’s time to go home.” Violet tried to gently coax him.
“But I’m being introduced to Lord Dumpling.” He replied.
“It’s Debling, and you’ve already met.” Anthony stated, clearly annoyed.
Benedict’s face lit up with recognition, “Yes! The man who watches the birds! Tell me, what do you eat instead of meat?” Benedict asked cheekily.
“That’s enough brother.” Anthony said sharply.
“What I’m just asking.” Benedict said in his best fake innocent voice.
“It is odd is it not?” He asked, looking directly at Y/N.
“I think it’s lovely.” All Bridgertons and Lord Debling looked at her.
“Really?” Alfred asked.
“Yes. It takes a lot of will power and compassion to make a bold choice like that.” She said looking directly at Lord Debling.
Benedict felt his heart lurch. She didn’t even spare him a glance.
He turned to Violet, “I’d like to go now mother.” Said stomping off to the nearest exit. Anthony rolled his eyes and followed after him.
Violet looked at Y/N, “I’m so sorry for my son’s behavior.” She breathed heavily and added, “All of it.”
Y/N nodded in acknowledgement, “Have a good evening Lady Bridgerton.”
Violet left and Y/N’s mother walked over.
“Lord Debling, it is so nice of you to keep my daughter company.” She said gently. Not wanting to draw any more attention to the situation.
Lord Debling chuckled, “it was quite the opposite Lady L/N. She has been a wonderful guide for the evening.”
Y/N felt herself blush.
“I was hoping I could call on you tomorrow.” Alfred said to Y/N, “if that is okay with you” he directed to her mother.
Lady L/N looked to her daughter to answer.
Y/N looked at Lord Debling. And once again, she became entranced by his caring and gentle gaze.
“I would like that very much.” She smiled, and he smiled back.

Dearest Gentle Reader,
It has occurred to me that it has been quite some time since my last update but fear not- your writer is back to report on the tons gossip.
A new season is upon us, will romance bloom within the Queens gardens once more? As last season we welcomed a most charming of couples, Penelope and Colin Bridgeton following his eldest brother the Viscount Anthony's and Viscountess Kates romance the year before. Will we be seeing Mister Benedict finally find love? Or will another family take to the spotlight?
Well, this author can already report to you that that is the case for a certain Duke has decided that this season he is to return back to the ton. After much time away studying amongst scholars and artists alike, the Duke Agnew has taken residence back in our fair city of Mayfair and has already caused quite the stir for hopeful mama's. Yet not anyone has gained the chance to make the Duke's acquaintance even when hosting their first event to start the season that it makes this author question how our Queen has faired with this information.
But even the most introverted and closed-door personalities do not stray from my pen as I've learned a great deal about the Duke Agnew. He has interests in literature, a patron of the arts. He houses a vast number of animals and collection of trinkets brought from his travels abroad and is said to have been spotted playing pall-mall and polo with his closet friend Mister Tran; a globe-trotter and seasoned sailor turned trades businessman who has also taken to the floor this season in the looks for a wife.
Yet that look seems to have already narrowed towards a certain Miss (name) as the potential couple has been seen dancing at balls and promoting around high park together. Could these most eligible of singles have already made up their hearts and minds? Or could there be another to split these two apart?
Well the ton most definitely thinks so as Miss (name) has been declared this seasons Diamond of the First Water and various mama's and papa's are ready to fight tooth and nail for their sons to have a chance with the charming and most beautiful (name).
But this author has been informed that apparently the ever intelligent and elegant (name) has shown little interest in finding a husband this season- so what is to think of their relationship with Mister Tran?
A most scandalous situation we find ourselves observing as Miss (name)'s block is filled down and around the corner with suitors and gifts these past afternoons. Whatever will come from this?
Well fear not, dear reader for this author will let you know even before the first mouth of gossip can open.
Yours Truly,
Lady Whistledown
