no i do not want to tip 15% at a restaurant that is basically a cashier at a counter. yes i will tip anyway because that same cashier is taking orders AND cooking the food AND packaging to-go bags because nobody hires serving staff anymore.

no i do not want to sit in awkward silence for 30+ minutes in the cold dining room because doordashers keep coming and going and letting the cold air in and their orders are prioritized over dine-ins because delivery apps are all about efficiency, baby.

no i do not want to walk into a new restaurant just to find out that 90% of their orders are online and they're basically a ghost kitchen with 2 tables and 3 staff members.

please bring back brick-and-mortar restaurants.

a noise woke me up the other day at like 5am, a single loud boom. I thought a cabinet somehow fell over downstairs. or maybe a bad car crash. no sirens. maybe I imagined it...

except TODAY. at ONE in the A of the M. (well at like 1:10). while I was STILL AWAKE. there was another single boom. shook the dang house. the cats were scared, but because I just complained but didn’t run around in a panic, they sat real close to me and purred to calm down.

a lot of people have fireworks, so this is probs just some dweeb with m80s or whatever the heck. but man. MAN. why 1am.

A quick question because I am curious

I don't want to ask you how old you are (bc it's a bit weird) but I'm just curious if you are out of school/studies I guess?

The main reason I ask is where do you find time to draw every day?? I just don't get it O_O but I find it super cool

Ah you're alright, I'm a pretty old fart by internet standards for sure. Haven't been in any kind of school house for a while now lol

Not sure what to tell you honestly, I just put a lot of emphasis on making sure I draw every day. It's important to me and I guess that's where the motivation comes from for me to make the time. After the ol 9-5, chores, and socializing, I tend to have about 3-5 hours in the evening to scribble something out so I just make sure whatever I'm drawing fits that time block.

Probably helps that working on my characters and stories is easily my biggest passion in the world. Nothing tops that shit!

if you are going to wipe this blog bc of ai, why do you still have a deviantart? don't they do the same thing? is there another site that you plan on posting on instead?

I always need the money so I have to keep using Deviantart for sales since its where the vast majority come from. Gotta cop that on the chin.

I haven't decided if im going anywhere else yet. Migrating sites sucks and I'm not as resilient as I was when I was 18. Changing social media just feels like a pain and I'm probably better off using it less anyway.

I'm going to be real busy come September/October anyway and have to limit my use of it.

funny how I really like nasty dark abusive Ed when he's written by people who still obviously are fascinated by and appreciate Ed as a holistic character, the canonical cruel parts and all; and Crazy Ex Girlfriend toxic controlling Izzy when he's written by people who obviously still love this morally grey little bastard man

almost like it's possible to appreciate complex characters, rather than needing to demonise one (usually Izzy, in this shitshow of a fandom) to make the other look perfect, morally pure, lacking in agency over all their fucked up decisions, and honestly just kinda boring
