Eddie chose their bachelor party outfits

Buck explains that it was an 80’s themed party and that he was dressed as Crocket and Eddie as Tubbs, then Eddie corrects him and says HE is Crockett and Buck is Tubbs.

We all know Buck’s pop culture knowledge is lacking and the fact that he got their character names mixed up and Eddie corrects him tells me that Eddie chose them. Why is this interesting?

Because Crocket and Tubbs are the guys from Miami Vice. If you don’t know it we’ll forgive you since it aired from 1984 – 1989, before a lot of you were probably born or old enough to be watching it. Before either Buck or Eddie were born too, by the way (and Christ don’t I feel old since I was in high school when it ended).

So, Eddie choosing to go as Sonny Crockett is FASCINATING to me. Quoting heavily from this article:

“Sonny struggles with depression, gets attached easily and just as easily hurt and makes dad jokes. Sonny is prickly, vulnerable, and deeply sad. I would also argue that he’s pretty heavily queercoded, and I don’t think it’s entirely unintentional.”

Sound somewhat familiar at all?

Interestingly, the penultimate episode of season 1 is titled Evan. Why is that interesting, you ask? As this article says, “Oh, you know, it’s then the moment Sonny’s possible bisexuality starts to seem like an intentional implication rather than an accident of incautious scripting”…

There’s a lot more to Miami Vice of course, and my memory of it is filtered through 30 years of life so it’s not perfect. You can find out more for yourselves if you want. I just find it very interesting that it’s Eddie who went as Crockett instead of Buck.

Interesting and exciting when we view it through the lens of Buddie possibly going canon in the future.

Why did you choose to be Crockett, Eddie? What is your subconscious telling you that you aren’t ready to hear yet Mr Diaz ‘who freaked out that your girlfriend was a Catholic nun’, hmmm?

“The moon is nice and all, but what I’m looking forward to seeing tonight is Uranus.” Charles. Hehe.

The kitchen smelled fucking delicious. Their seafood stew was nearly done and James’s stomach was growling up a storm. He was fucking starving, even after munching on the chips and crab dip they bought at the market that was meant to be their snack and appetizer. The night was completely clear - not a cloud in sight - giving them the most gorgeous view of the moon and stars shining brightly above the dark ocean. It was breathtaking, really. Especially with the moon’s light reflecting off of the water. God, this is why he loved living by the sea. This wasn’t their home, no, and he was glad they decided to make their getaway still somewhere tropical.

They planned on eating dinner out on the balcony, making the most of this beautiful night and they’d been in the kitchen working on food and dessert together. Dessert was something simple, just brownies, but damn did they smell delicious, too. After they were finished, they planned on taking a walk along the beach and he couldn’t wait. Fuck, James Flint was a damn happy man. Made evident in the way he moved about the kitchen while humming. The two of them cooking together and being playful. Getting in each other’s way for the fun of it, shoving each other, kissing, etc. they were both on cloud 9.

Just as James reached over to turn off the stove, he felt Charles approach him from behind, arms wrapping around his middle and lips on his ear. He was up to something… nothing good. “Do not even think about seducing me right now, Charles. I’m starved.” He warns with a smirk, but then he mentions the moon and— what the fuck. The redhead bursts into hard laughter as he shakes him off, turning and shaking his head at him. “Oh my god, that was horrible.” In terms of seducing, but hilarity? It was fucking good. He was still laughing, his face almost red. “Christ, Charles, that sounds like one you made up.” simply because he hadn’t heard it before and even though there are plenty of pick up lines he hadn’t heard, that one just seemed so… improvised. So Charles. He was both impressed and horrified.

“If that was your attempt to seduce me, then I’m sorry, but there will be no Big Bang tonight.” He laughs again, proud of himself for that one. God he had tears in his eyes now. @fornassau

Watched the 1st episode of Percy Jackson and it's soooo much better than I thought. It was perfect 😭!!!

The teasers and trailers, they all looked so good, the characters all well cast, that series had to be good and after only one episode I can already say: they nailed it!

And I can't tell you how glad I am about it.

Desapesrs off to watch episodes 2. Byeeee.
