i keep thinking to myself, god we have got to put tim drake in a time loop. but also time loops just feel so perfectly like speedster bullshit, yknow? therefore lemme just smash these thoughts together like particles at cern aaannddd--

let's put tim in a time loop that bart accidentally caused. a tim loop, if you will :) specifically, tim loop where kon dies at the end and bart just kind of subconsciously went nope! and "if anyone can fix it it's tim right?" bc bart has. a normal amount of faith in his friends but also a normal amount of feelings about himself being useless to save kon bc he couldn't in infinite crisis.

and bam suddenly tim is having the worst tuesday of his life like 20 times in a row. yippee! it's bart-powered but he doesn't even know. he did it on accident. bart in the loop doesn't know what's going on. it just resets every time the ending is something bart can't accept (kon dies again). tim tries to sacrifice himself to save kon once but somehow that doesn't break the loop either (bart refuses to accept that). how long can tim go through a time loop before he goes completely bonkers bananas insane? only tim(e) will tell.

and, worse: how many times can tim watch kon die? how many times can he beg kon to value his own life, to get it through his head that being a hero doesn't mean he needs to die for the world, that there must be another way? how many times can he watch kon sacrifice himself to save others and know that if he stops kon, those people might die?

how fucked up would he be if he ever actually found out just how suicidal kon has been his entire life?

extra fun: cassie takes one look at him every time and instantly clocks that he's feeling like shit, but every time she forgets why, because the loop resets. tim is being perceived but it never lasts. this will drive him crazy so fast. he's gonna start acting out and snapping at her for being concerned because what's the POINT of talking about his feelings if everything resets ANYWAY. this will definitely not come back to bite him in the end or anything, right?

(kon-el dead wife giggling in the sunshine and playing under the sheets montage plays over and over for both tim and bart. this probably means nothing.)

The researcher turned an abandoned lighthouse into his studio/home: There is writing on the walls, strange charts all over the place, and fairy lights carefully placed to mimic a stars map, the very layout of the ex-lighthouse slowly changed as they tipped their toes on wishcraft. During this wishcraft phase, siffrin made his prized possession, a pair of 'night glasses' which give him literal night vision (if he wears it, no matter the time, it will feel like it is night)

The lighthouse is far from any town, people rarely visits, and any traveler who decides to check on the 'strange building' he lives in will get a BIG headache the second they open the door. So a few people know someone lives there but the rumors of what exactly is Siffrin's deal varies.

Siffrin used to give themselves headaches all the time, and his determination to keep reading the forbidden language deteriorated his vision. He doesn't remember most of his life in his studio and most of what he studied so he writes things down on his coat.

After an accident made them fully blind, his headaches stopped and his memory got a bit better (still terrible though).

An evacuation happened in the newest city because of the king freezing everything, and a 'brave and kind' soul remembered "Someone lives in the strange building!" going out of their way to climb their headache home and drag Siffrin out of their house, explaining the situation to him and saving them from being frozen.

Siffrin knows very few Vaugardian words when he is dragged out of his home with all his research, but they like to learn + know how dangerous wishcraft can be, so they don't wishcraft to learn Vauguardian, they do it by normal trial and error (they do wishcraft for his 'research to stay safe too' though). People assume Siffrin is crazy or dumb or both when they first meet him, because the researcher knows so little about the world and is obsessed with the 'dots in the sky', but it doesn't take long to figure out this fella is incredibly smart and a good learner (self-taught a forgotten language, have been connecting dots in the sky and in blank pages for years, and keep studying even after losing his sight)

Smarts aside, they are bad at communication. Even when they want to be honest and vulnerable they aren't very good at it, they haven't talked with other people in years.

Whenever Siffrin speaks in his native tongue people get a headache so they are mostly quiet.

When they lost their eye during an attack, their night glasses were broken too, so now not only is 'half of the sky empty' he also lost his aid/ needing to deal with the sun every day, which is a star so he can see it! But seeing it is disorienting (since the sun is always changing its position) and painfully bright compared to his calming nights, so he either deals with a starless sky or a painful light that doesn't guide him.

at this point its my headcanon that camilla was having a whole vigilante justice arc while on new rho and nona just didnt know about it. like she definitely killed that neighbor that was abusing his wife and i do not think she stopped there. <3

So Elrond and Elros are six when the Third Kinslaying happens, right? Given that they're half-elves, they might be "younger" than a human six-year-old, more in-line with elven development. For children that young, memories are often patchy and foggy. I certainly don't remember much from the first six years of my life. Add childhood trauma, which can distort or suppress memories, and there's a pretty good argument that Elrond and Elros might not really remember Sirion, or their parents.

And that idea... really gets to me. There's so much to explore there in terms of grief, and guilt, and the desire to live up to the legacy of someone you never even knew. There's also an asymmetry there– E&E's parents remember them. Hell, Earendil might be able to look down on them in Middle-Earth while Vingilot is in the heavens. But Elrond can never look back.

...Okay, stay with me on this. I'm having a Thought.

What if! James H. Bond, the infamous 007, gets dosed with love potion!

(No, I don't know how/why there is love potion in his vicinity. But it's the Bondverse. It doesn't have to make sense!)

Let's say some supervillain is trying to dose Bond with love potion to make him fall in love with them/their offspring/their henchperson/ whatever. For purposes of manipulation! The potion is supposed to kick in after a certain period and Bond is supposed to fall in love with whomever he sees first.

But!! Q accidentally foils these plans by being the first person Bond sees, instead of the villain!

And Bond sees Q and he's like, "Ah, there he is, the light of my life, my beloved, the man who is far too good for me, whose very shoes I am not fit to wipe. I adore him. I am going to pester him so much so I can get all his attention for myself ASAP!"

Except. This is Bond's normal thought process when he's around Q. So he notices no difference.

And then, three weeks later, Q-branch finally uncovers the villain's notes and figures out that Bond was dosed with love potion and forced into a sudden and mysterious infatuation with Q! And then everyone is demanding to know why Bond didn't say anything about all these weird feelings he must've suddenly been having!

And Bond is like, "...I didn't say anything because...I was still conducting my own investigation about what had happened? I was playing my cards close to my vest! I didn't want to give any indication that I was compromised until I knew who was to blame! Just spy things!!!"

And most of MI6 (including Q) is like, "Of course! Perfectly legitimate approach. Well done, 007. Carry on with your usual daily business while we figure out an antidote!!"

Except Moneypenny is squinting at Bond like, "...You didn't notice any difference, did you?"

And Bond is just like 🙃🙃🙃

But otherwise, I haven’t given the AU a lot of thought. It would be fun to explore a dynamic between Lucifer and Alastor if they were to have know each other pre-Alastor death, even more so if Lucifer forgot about Alastor and Alastor very much remembered him.

Lmao it’d bring a whole new context to Alastor’s instant saltiness towards Lucifer. The guy got wham, bam, thank you ma’am-ed and then Lucifer never called him back. The bitterness is so real.

Especially when he realizes Lucifer doesn’t even remember him (or recognize him 👀 due to his deer/demon characteristics). Alastor probably wouldn’t say anything about it, though, he’d just keep needling and insulting Lucifer like a scorned ex-lover, and Lucifer has no idea why but he’s gonna needle and insult him back, even if there’s…something strangely familiar about Alastor…something he can’t quite put his finger on…

Thinking of Armand and how he's surely thinking that love is to be owned or to own. He was owned by Marius, he tried so much to have Lestat who had already someone, he couldn't have louis and he tried so much but Louis was always Lestat's.

And now he have Daniel, he's only fledgling, he want so bad to have Daniel by himself and every time he see Daniel leave to see Louis he have the reminder that Daniel was Louis fascinating boy first and not his.

How greedy of Amadeo thinking he can desire things, own things and have things for himself.

I want Armand so desperate to have Daniel and finally Daniel explaining that Armand don't own him starting to broke his heart but what Daniel is trying to say is that he don't own Armand neither and they are just two people together cause they want to be together.

Daniel explaining that he love Louis but in the end of the day he will always come back to Armand and trying to appease Armand but with rationality so he can understand how to process their relationship in a more healthy way.
