Y/N Swansworth-Snow.
The first thing that Coriolanus did when he became President was to give you his last name.  You, his ally, his accomplice, and now, his First Lady.
The entirety of Panem celebrated with you.  No, not just the Capitol.  All the other Districts fell in love with the two of you.  Having been blinded by your tour that was so successful, it ruined any doubts they had for the new President.
And to make it even better, the ruse between you and Coriolanus gave way for true affections to blossom.
But having the love of the said President does not mean that your marriage will be anything similar to a typical couple.  You are the leaders of Panem after all.
Most of your day is taken up by meeting other politicians and studying bills to further strengthen the Capitol and subdue thoughts of rebellions from the Districts.
Your evenings are also spent attending the invitations of your supporters.
“Heavens!  The party is in five hours and I have absolutely nothing to wear.”  You groan in your seat as Coriolanus chuckles as he taps at the steering wheel.
This was one thing that he requested for the both of you.  No chauffeurs.  Not that your security is at risk when you are sandwiched between two cars loaded with the presidential guards.
The two of you had been spending your luncheon with the Plinths.  Had it not been for your assistants reminding you of a party this evening, you would have forgotten.
“You should wear that gold dress I bought you last month.”  He hums.
“The one with actual gold in it?”  You frown.  “We are only meeting the District 1 representatives, is it necessary to wear such a pretty gown?”
You stop at the red traffic light and Coriolanus turns to you, his knuckle brushing your cheek.  “You’re not wearing it for them, my love.”  His voice is calm but there was something about him that made you feel like he was scolding you.  Of course, you try your best to keep a straight face but the way you fiddled with your seatbelt did not go unnoticed by him.  “You will be wearing it for me.  Always for me.  Understand?”
You nod at him.
“Words.”
“Yes, Corio.  I understand.”
Ever since you got married, you have somewhat changed.  You are still the same calculating Y/N Swansworth, but you are more docile, easily flustered, almost shy.
“Mmh, there’s a good girl.”
His thumb caresses your cheek before focusing back on the road.
Coriolanus Snow takes pleasure in his discovery of this attitude from you.  How you are the commanding First Lady in the public, and a sweet little wife to him when he has you all to himself.  You did not grow out of that crush you had for him, it seems.  You got better at hiding it while he was away, but in the end, you were still his, body and soul.
As you get ready in your vanity that night, your eyes scan the files of the guests that will be attending the party as you add the pigeon blood ruby earrings in your ears.
“Darling, my tie, have you seen it?”  Coriolanus calls as he comes out of your shared closet.  His dark red suit compliments your golden gown.
“In here.”  You reply as you hurriedly put on the other pair of earrings.
You walk over to him to fix his golden tie for him.
He checks his appearance and his hand snakes to the small of your back.  “You look ravishing.”  He pecks your exposed shoulder.  He knows better than to ruin your lipstick.  He will never hear the end of it.
“You are looking pretty sharp, yourself.”  You say as you look at him proudly.  This fine gentleman, one ever so sought after, once the prime bachelor of Panem, is your husband.
Not everybody understands that.
And it infuriates you to no end.  But jealousy can come later, in the present, you must focus on your task at hand.
As you enter the party together, you both agree on a strategy, to part ways and conquer them one by one.
“My brother is likely the one who will follow my father’s footsteps.”  Says the official from District 1.  His suit is a fine one, the best quality.  But the clothing’s value can easily be overlooked by how the wearer parades in it.  “He was always the favorite.”
You look at him in well-practiced sympathy.  “I am terribly sorry.  Here, have a glass of water.”  You snatch one from the passing server to hand it to him.  He has had enough alcohol for tonight.
He gulps it quickly and he nastily wipes his mouth with the sleeve of his beige suit, ruining it with a wet stain, you try to conceal your disgust.
“Phah!”  He spits.  “As if my brother is any good.  He is always at his shooting range with his buddies.  Always buying guns and losing them!”  The man continues to ramble and you sip quietly from your flute.  “I am really grateful that you are keeping me company tonight, Madame First Lady.”  He suddenly grabs at your wrist, his thumb caressing your skin.  Apparently, not grateful enough to observe boundaries.
You smile kindly as you place your other hand atop his.  “No worries, it is my pleasure to be of some service to the people of Panem.”  You gently remove his hand from yours.
He groans, throwing his head back.  “You are a goddess, Madame First Lady.”
“And you are drunk, Mister Sterling.”  You comment as you sip on your champagne once more, eyes scanning the party for whom you shall extract information next.  But your eyes met his.
Coriolanus had his eyes on you the entire time.  He was in a small group of men, all who were talking animatedly.  Coriolanus throws in his inputs in the conversation but his eyes never stray away from you.  He does not look too pleased.
You struggle to look away from him, and you discreetly attempt to swallow the lump in your throat.
“My apologies, you will have to excuse me.”  You smile at Sterling and before he can respond, you are already on your feet, gliding smoothly away in utmost elegance, definitely not scurrying.
You make it to the powder room, nobody suspects you of running away when you look as if you own the place.  But Coriolanus knows better.  He also excuses himself from the other men and follows quickly after you.
He smiles at the people he passes but he is determined to get to where you would be right now.
And there you were, twirling in front of the tall mirror of the bathroom.  It appears like the First Lady of Panem is checking herself out.  Coriolanus leans by the door to enjoy the show, a sly little smirk on his lips.
You slide down your hands on your waist and you turn to observe the curve of your behind and nod.  You then get closer to see your make up in a closer angle, watching for anything that is not in place.
“I was going to wait for you to finish but I cannot keep myself away for much longer.”  His smooth voice echoes around the empty powder room.
The look of surprise on your face brought strange satisfaction to him.
Coriolanus stands behind you and looks at you in the mirror.  His eyes shamelessly roam over your body, and by God! The dress really does suit you.
“You should let me choose your dresses more often.”  He spoke silently and you chuckled at that.
“Do you find me pretty, wearing your gifts, Mister President?”  You tease as you fix your hair.
Nodding, Coriolanus hooks an arm around your midriff to pull you flush against him.  “Prettiest.”  He groans against your nape, his hot breath sending you to a fit of giggles.  “And you’re not leaving my side for the rest of the night, you understand?”
You lean against his sturdy chest and nod like the obedient girl that you are.  “I have a lot of bad news for you, Corio.”
His brows pinched but he didn't let it disturb him from tasting your skin.  Leaving a hot wet trail in his wake.
“Rebels?”  He asks breathily.
Your breath hitches when he gently nips on your ear.  “Might be.  I’m suspecting smuggling of firearms.  I will have my men investigate it first thing tomorrow.”
He hums in approval.  “What would I do without you, wife?”
Your ego is stroked with his words and you can’t help the smile on your lips.  “You would be helpless without me.”
It is a dangerous thing to say to a man like Coriolanus Snow.  Provoking him and threatening his status with words will not end well.  Unless it is you.
“I would crumble, wife.”  He groans to your skin and pulls you closer.  “I would be reduced to nothing.”
When Coriolanus speaks like this, he just manages to sink himself deeper into your heart.
“Good.”  You smile.  “Because I desire you just as fiercely.”  You place a hand on his bicep and you rest your head on his shoulder to press a kiss on his neck.  “You have a speech to make.”
Coriolanus sighs.  “Just a bit longer.”
You indulge him, tracing patterns on his cheek as he inhales your scent.
Had it not been for a knock on the door, Coriolanus would have held you there forever.
He takes your hand and guides you on stage with him, his darling wife.
The music fades to a gentle melody and the crowd hushes to listen to the speech the President is about to make.
“Our gathering today is not just an event, it is a celebration of collaboration, shared goals, and the strength that comes from unity.”  Coriolanus starts and you position yourself behind him with the kindest smile you can muster.  “I am deeply honored to stand before a group of individuals who bring diverse perspectives, talents, and experiences.”
A man shakes his head in the corner and you watch him closely.  He seems agitated, his movement jerking as he scratches at his neck, making the skin raw.  He does not look familiar.  He is not in the files you had.
“Your presence here is a testament to the power of coming together, the power of dialogue, and the power of collective effort.”  You step closer to Coriolanus when the man leaves his chair.  The peacekeepers slowly march closer to the man who glares hard at your husband.  “In this room, we have a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and passion that, when harnessed, can propel us to achieve great things.”  A glint from the man’s coat has you tugging Coriolnus behind you by his suit.
A resounding bang fills the air and your body freezes.
It’s wet, you feel the wetness seep your dress and you look down to see a spreading stain of crimson in your side.
Oh…the bullet did not hit Coriolanus.  That’s good.
Screaming rings in the air and it is getting more and more difficult for you to stand.  You feel Coriolanus’ warm hands around you, but your eyes return to the shooter.  Has he been apprehended?  Is your husband still in danger?
“Corio…”  You whimper.  “It’s not safe for you.”
He grits his teeth as he pulls at his tie to wrap it in his fist to press into your wound.  The pressure had you whimpering, clawing unto his sleeve.
“I’m sorry.”  He whispered against your temple.  “You’re gonna be alright.”
You try to laugh but it comes out as a wheeze.  “Of course, I would.”
You are in the arms of the most powerful man in Panem.  No place else is safer.
The noise slowly gets muffled, something akin to your head descending underwater.  The lights blur and the colors mix together.  You blink multiple times just so your husband would come to focus, but your eyelids get heavier and heavier.
He was the last thing you saw before your eyes closed.
“Your daughter seems to have taken a fancy to my son.”
A loud boisterous laughter echoes.  “Nothing but a harmless fascination.”
“The two of them would make a good couple, don’t you agree?”
“That is if they don’t destroy each other first.”
Coriolanus wakes from his slumber in cold sweat.  He runs a hand on his platinum hair, feeling its dampness.  His chest heaves, breathing labored.
What a nightmare to have at a time like this.  His pale eyes search the darkness and he spots you in your marital bed.  He leaves the chaise lounge to walk over to you.  You have been asleep for a day now, recovering after the bullet misses anything fatal.  The events last night shocked him to his core.  He had never been more afraid.  Not even when he saw the dead being hacked to pieces in the dark days.  Or when the arena was bombed when he first mentored, and definitely not when Lucy Gray set off a snake to him.
When he saw you bleed.  It unraveled all there was in him.  His gut twisting, his mind in shambles.  He was angry and afraid.  And the self-loathing that came afterwards was almost unbearable.  That bullet was for him to take, not you.
Coriolanus watches the steady rise and fall of your chest.  It brings him peace to see you still breathing.  Gently, he lies next to you but he was afraid he’d hurt you so he scoots lower until he faces your bandaged abdomen.  He lies curled by your side and he reaches for your hand.
It’s warm, you are with him.  His lips press on your pulse, you are with him.
A lone tear slides to his temple and the sheets greedily soak it in.  It was one of many that he shed for you while you were asleep.
A deep shuddering breath has him sitting up.  Coriolanus observes your face closely.
“Corio?”
“I’m here, my love.”  He rushes to you and he smiles painfully when you open your eyes.
“Are you hurt?”  You ask worriedly and he almost laughs had his heart not been teared open.
He shakes his head.  “No, you saved me.”  He presses a kiss to your temple.  “You took a bullet for me.”
You grimace.  “How’d he get that gun inside, anyway?”
Coriolanus pursed his lips.  “It was planted in the area prior to the event.”
“Did you find out who he is?”
He nods at you and he pulls you closer.  “From a fallen house here in the Capitol and a servant to the Cranes.  He has more morphine than blood in his veins.  He is being detained now, he will be executed in two days.”
You nod at him.  It all falls into place now.
Hesitantly, you ask.  “Him and Arachne?”
Coriolanus sighs.  “Or just him.”  Arachne was a true narcissist, she would have never associated with a nobody in such ways.
It is surprising how even after all these years, the ghost of the past can still haunt you.  The visit from the District 1 officials must have triggered such an act.
Love really is the sweetest poison.
“No matter.”  Coriolanus dismisses the topic.  “I refuse to spend another second thinking about a man who dared to hurt my wife.”
You smile as you close your eyes trying to get comfortable in his arms.
“I guess you owe me your life now.  I would expect more pampering as payment.”  You hum and he scoffs.
You ignore the fact that this makes you even after he saved you in District 4.  You will use every opportunity to exploit your dear husband.
“That is what you are concerned with?  You were just shot, wife.”  He spoke unimpressed but you squeezed his hand.
“I’ll get a nasty scar but I’ll live.  His aim was really bad.”
“I most definitely agree.”  Coriolanus nods a small grin in his lips.  “That worked in our favor though.”
It frightened Coriolanus.  The limit to your self sacrifice for him seems to be nonexistent.  He humbles himself and prays to the gods that this will not cause your end.
You did not question when he pulls you closer.  His behavior is desperate as he burns the feel of your body against him in his head.
You spend the rest of the night talking to him until your eyes turn heavy, your breath syncing together peacefully.

Hurts like hell
The pain was like no other. The concept of time had slipped away a long time ago. Your body was sore and stiff. Nor could you distinguish if it was the sound of your blood dripping on the floor or the condensation of the cellar walls. “This could be so much easier, wing leader”, Varrish's venomous voice fills your senses and suddenly you wish you hadn’t blinked. Hadn’t made him aware of your consciousness. “What do you know about the rebellion, girl?”, he takes fistfuls of your hair, yanking your head back. Your angry eyes glare up at him, “Eat. My. Shit”, you hiss through gritted teeth as the back of his hand slams into your cheek. The rings he’s wearing crack the scabbed-up cuts all over again.
And it’s as if he feels it. Every blow. Every cut. Every scream. Xaden had lost the amount of time he had vomited since they had taken you. Or more since you had saved Bodhi’s and Garrick's asses and was taken instead of them. Had he beaten both of them up for it? Yes. And he planned on repeating it once you were back in his arms.
“There’s nowhere else they could be keeping her”, Imogen says, tapping her finger on the map. Everyone had been looking for you for three days now. “Unless he’s usually magic he shouldn’t”, Bodhi adds, making Xaden let out a growl. It was driving him mad knowing that you were taking a beating for his slip-up. They weren’t being careful enough. They weren’t thinking about the consequences when they smuggled such a big load of weapons out. “Tonight. There’s an upper-hand meeting at seven that leech of a man should be there”, he grunts, his shadows drowning his hands in the darkness. “Imogen you will make sure he stays there for as long as possible”, and for the first time, she only nods, because she too can feel that Xaden is on his last straw. “You two will come with me. Fuck knows what they have going on down there”, running a hand through his hair, Xaden watches as both Bodhi and Garrick nod. Hold on, he pleads, just for a bit longer. Because he would kill them all. Burn this whole academy down if you were… and that’s enough to make him go ridge once more. He couldn’t let himself think about it.
His heart is beating so fast and so loudly that he doesn’t even hear his footsteps as they navigate the dark corridors of the dungeons. Checking every nook and cranny. Every room. Every floorboard. Until the metal gates leading to the back cellar catch Xaden’s eyes, and the way his shadows rush to it in a frenzy. His legs step forward before he even realizes it. Breathe hitching in his throat.
“Y/n”, he mutters rushing forward. His hands are shaking so much that he can barely push the hair away from your face, let alone look for the pulse. Face. Barely recognizable face. So cut up and bruised. Drowned in angry purples and blacks. “There’s a pulse”, Xaden’s head snapped to the side, he didn’t even realize that Garrick had followed him in here. “Faint but there”, he clasped Xaden’s shoulder, “But we need to get her out of here”.
And he tries, tries so hard to get the ropes of your wrists but it’s as if his own body is going into an overdrive. “Bodhi, get Xaden out of here”, Garrick orders, freeing your legs, reaching to press his fingers to your neck once more. “No”, Xaden argues, pulling at your hand, “Baby, you need to open your eyes”, he mutters looking at you, “Tell me that you hear me”. But there’s nothing. Just your limp body. Drowning in blood and filth. A firm palm presses against the back of his neck and his head is turned away from you.
“We are getting her out. Do you understand?”, Garrick’s firm words slip past the haze. “You will go with Bodhi because you can’t help out anymore and I will carry her and keep her safe”, and it’s no longer a question. It’s a statement. An order. One that Xaden follows. With Bodhi reassuring with the whole way. Catching one last look at you. Of Garrick carefully scooping you up as he mumbles, “Come on, girly, we need you here. Don’t you give up yet”.
Xaden doesn’t move from your side after Brennon meds your wounds. The Rioroso house was the only place they could think of that was safe for you. But even here his mind doesn’t ease up. It’s been a week and you haven’t shown any signs of waking up. So just like any other night when he came to visit you, he’s carefully running the healing balm into the cuts on your face and arms. Needing to know that he’s doing something. Helping in some way.
And it’s the pain sigh that leaves your lips when his fingers brush over the cut on your temple that has his stalling. “Baby”, he breathes, gaze now fully fixed on your face. His lips brush over your knuckles, “Please, open your eyes. I need to…”, and it’s as if his words coxed you out of your slumber as you blink rapidly. Scared eyes scanned the place.
Xaden leans closer, carefully bringing his fingers through your hair. Trying to soothe you with the feeling of him. “Xaden”, his name on your lips is enough to finally make him crack. He lowers his head onto your shoulder as ugly sobs echo through the room. He knows that he should be strong. To be calmer and colder but he was convinced that he was never gonna hear the sound of your voice ever again. “I’m here, my little fighter”, he sniffles, looking back up at you, “l will never let you hurt like that ever again”.

My squad screams and yells around me as Liam faces off in the last challenge of this portion of the squad battle. I had technically beaten the guy currently in Liam’s leg lock. Which should have given us the win for this portion. But it had not. They had deemed the guy I had beaten would face off against Liam. Utter bullshit. We had technically already won. But here we we’re, watching as Liam made easy work of the guy. Rhiannon screaming at him to tap out. I was honestly surprised he hadn’t yet with the way his back was arched. . Liam easily had this. We would jump from seventh into third with this win. Though as Dain had pointed our very angrily to leadership, we had technically already earnt our win. I had never seen him so angry or passionate about something. He wanted that win. But without knowing what the next portion was, it would be hard to tell if Liam’s win would help us solidify that. The cadet from second wing cries out in pain, nearly everyone wincing for how ear splitting it is. Liam knew exactly how to make it hurt, pushing the cadet towards tapping out.
”Fuck me, that looks like it hurts.” Violet mutters from next to me.
”Yeah, he’s not walking for a while,” Ridoc agrees as Liam manoeuvres the cadet in the hold, their back arching in a way I’m sure their spine is about to snap.
As if sensing that’s about to happen the cadet slams their palm into the mat three times, our squad and the crowd roaring and cheering. I can barely hear my squad as Liam rushes over to us, embracing us, I even register Imogen’s pink hair in the fray before I’m squished into Liam.
”You’re winner!” Professor Emetterio shouts, his loud voice carrying throughout the gym as Liam steps back from the bone crushing hug we were all just in. “Liam Mairi from Second Squad, Flame Section, Fourth Wing!”
Liam raises his hands in victory, turning in a small circles as the crowd cheers again for him. We’ve now moved up to third place. I’m half surprised I don’t hear the gloating of Dain. But as I look around, I note he is missing. And I can tell Violet notes it to as her eyes also scan the crowd. He had been so vocal when my win had been dismissed.
Commandant Panchek steps onto the mat, and Liam moves to join the rest of our squad. I make a show of wiping of the sweat from my arm as he brushes against me, Liam just rolling his eyes.
”I know you were all expecting the last portion of the squad battle to happen tomorrow, but the cadre and I have a surprise.
Every riders attention is now on him, all hooked on his words. Waiting to hear what he has in store for us.
”Instead of telling you what the final, unknown task will be and giving you tonight to plan for it, your final task will begin this hour!” He grins, throwing out his hands and turning just like Liam had.
”Tonight?” Ridoc whispers as he looks over at all of us in shock.
I literally feel the dread take over Violet. I was now able to sense the emotions of anyone in close proximity to me without any effort. It was a good and bad thing. Bad as if someone was feeling some strong emotions, it was hard to separate them from my own. Luckily with some focus I was able to separate them and move on.
“Dain isn’t here. Neither is Cianna.” Violet states.
“Oh shit,” Imogen whispers as she looks over the crowd. I look around the room, and note than anyone with a position in leadership was missing. Every single one from executive officers and squad leaders, all the way up to the wing leaders.
”No one from leadership is here.” I add.
Everyone around me nodding in agreement. They had taken away leadership to see what we would do. Would someone stand up and fill their void? Or would we all crumble into chaos and run around like headless chickens. I had no doubt their eyes would be on us the entire time during this challenge.
”As you may have noticed, your squad leaders and their executive officers have been…. shall we say, sequestered with your section leaders and wingleaders, and no, before someone asks your task is to not find them.”
Damn. The thought of having to rescue someone like Xaden and Garrick would have been funny. Though Dain I would be happy to leave somewhere locked up and ‘captured’. My thoughts must be echoed by a few other riders as a few chuckles and sighs are heard throughout the room.
”You are to break into your squads and accomplish a unique mission this evening without the leadership and instruction of your squad leaders.
”Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of having squad leaders?” Someone stupidly asks.
I almost feel the whole room roll their eyes at the question.
”The purpose of a squad leader is to form a tightly knit unit that can carry on with a mission after their demise. Consider your leaders…. demised.” Panchek shrugs with a gleeful smile.
With pleasure.
”You’re on your own riders. Your mission is simple. Find and acquire, by any means necessary, the one thing that would be most advantageous to our enemies regarding the war efforts. Leadership will serve as unbiased judges, and the winning squad will be awarded sixty points.”
”That’s enough to put us into first!” Rhiannon whispers excitedly, worming her way between Violet and I, linking her arms through ours. “We could win the glory of going to the front!”
”What are the boundaries?” Someone asks.
Surely they wouldn’t let us fly off somewhere and get what we wanted. No we would have to stay nearby. Panchek confirming my thoughts.
”Anything within the walls of Basgiath. And don’t you dare let me see you trying to haul a dragon back here. They’ll incinerate you out of sheer annoyance. You have,” Panchek pulling out his pocket watch, “three hours, at which time we’ll expect you to present your stolen treasures in the battle brief room.”
The room is completely silent. None of us had expected this to be our final task. And now with no leadership to guide and direct us, and only three hours to find something, everyone’s mind was in overdrive.
”What are you waiting for? Go!” Panchek motioning us with his hands to get going.
In seconds the room is in chaos, squads rushing to group up and discuss their plans. Everyone is a hot mess. In Dain’s absence Imogen steps forward, raising her hand.
”Second Squad! Follow me!” She yells, leading us across the gym floor over to the weight room.
We quickly all find seats around the room. I sit on the floor infront of Violet, Rhiannon and Liam who have taken a spot on one of the benches as Imogen asks who wants to be in command, which leads into a small argument as Ridoc tries to suggest himself. Eventually we settle on Imogen after some back and forth. Not even the third years wanting to step up.
"We have a little less than three hours. What are your ideas?” Imogen asks, looking over us all.
Yet again we start a back and forth. Weapons and somehow Panchek’s underwear coming up courtesy of Ridoc who promptly gets shut up by Rhiannon before he can defend his answer.
”Come on guys! Think! What’s the most useful thing to our enemy?” Imogen asks.
I don’t miss a beat before the answer comes from my mouth.
”Information.”
Everyone turning their heads to look at me. Some nodding in agreement. If battle brief has taught us anything, knowledge and information can change the outcome of a battle easily. Don’t have enough and you’ll get slaughtered before the battle’s even really started.
”Violet, what about stealing news missives from the archives? The ones that come in from the front?” Liam asks.
Good idea, except for the fact the archives are now sealed shut with no way in or out. Something Violet and I both knew from our time living here in the college. Both often taking classes in their. The it hits me. That day in General Sorrengail’s office I had seen Melgren literally scouring the bookshelf as if looking for something. He had been looking for information. General Sorrengail’s office was literally full of information. And I had even found something in my time there. The map on her wall. The map that had been so different from the one we saw in our battle brief classes. A map we we’re told was up to date. But despite the fact I had not seen the map that day, the next day when I had gone into that class, the map did not reflect what I had seen in that room. But I had no way to verify if the map in that office had been changed. Regardless, that office was a wealth of knowledge and information that would be vital in a battle against out enemies. I look up and meet the eye’s of Violet. I can see the cogs turning in her head. As if we can both read our minds we both nod at each other. Both of us knowing where we had to go.
”What are you two thinking?” Imogen asks as she notes the way we look at each other. The room falling silent.
”It’s probably nothing.” Violet says nervously. But she knows its not nothing.
”It’s not nothing.” I add before sighing and standing and turning to face Imogen. “It’s mad. Nearly undoable. We’d get thrown in the brig if we’re caught. But it means no other squad would be mad enough to attempt it.”
”We can wield right?” Violet asks as she stands and joins me.
Heaton nods. “By all means necessary.”
Violet nods and rocks back and forth. “All right. Ridoc can wield ice, Rhiannon can retrieve, Sawyer can manipulate metal, Imogen can mind-wipe recent memories-”
I can see the plan forming in Violet’s mind. Yet again using her mind as her strength. She was the only one left in our squad without a signet. But she knew all of ours, except mine. If we used all our signets correctly, we could hopefully get in and out without anyone knowing. Hell, I could probably do it on my own with half the stuff I could do. But some of the useful stuff that would make this a walk in the park was not fully controllable. My illusions still having a slight sheen to them. But at night would that really matter?
As Violet gets through everyone else in the room, they all turn to look at me. “Can you tell us yours?”
Imogen and Liam go rigid, something I note Violet notices as her eyes flicker to them. She knows they know what I can do.
I shake my head. “No, but it doesn’t mean I can’t use it to help us.”
She seems relieved that I will be willing to use it to help. But I note the nervousness radiating from Imogen and Liam. Xaden hadn’t fully deemed her trustworthy to ask about a signet like mine, but I couldn’t not help. My signet could throw this in our favour depending what we would encounter. I would just have to face the consequences of my actions later. Xaden could deal with it.
”So what are you two thinking then?” Imogen asks after a few moments of silence.
”You’re going to tell us we’ve lost our minds.” Violet starts.
”But if we pull this off, we’re guaranteed the win.” I add, grinning from ear to ear.
”We’re breaking into my mother’s office.”
“And we’re going to steal the map that’s on her wall.”
Somehow we managed to get past the guard without me needing to use my signet. But we weren’t out of the clear yet. We had to get the massive map off the wall and get it back across to the riders quadrant, which would be no easy feat. It would require a lot of luck and stealth.
”This map is different to ours.” Imogen notes as we stand infront of it, taking in all the details.
I was glad to see this map was still different to the one we had in battle brief. Meaning this would definitely give us the win over anything else the other cadets would find tonight. We had just secured our win.
”Do you want to tell us how you knew about this?” Rhiannon asks as she turns to look at me.
”Melgren brought me here the day I got my signet. While he was distracted by some books I managed to get a good look at this and noticed it was different to ours. It’s a gamble, but I’d wager anything to say this map is way more up to date than the one we get in battle brief.” I tell him, everyone around me nodding in agreement.
”Definitely more up to date. Garrick and Xaden would kill me for saying this, but I’m kind of grateful Melgren brought you here that day.” Imogen says with a smirk as she motions for Ridoc and Emery to start getting the map down.
”We would have found it anyway. Violet also had the idea to come here.” I state as I meet Violet’s eyes.
”Yes, but you already knew about this. Saved us pulling her office apart and having to deal with the consequences of that tomorrow. We owe this win to you.” She says with a smile.
”We haven’t won yet Sorrengail.” I tell her.
Imogen just laughs and shakes her head. “Oh but we have Riorson. There’s nothing more valuable in this college than this map unless we want to go kidnap Melgren for his foresight signet.”
I shudder at her comment causing Violet, Imogen and Rhiannon to laugh at my reaction. “Hard pass on that one thank you.”
After a few minutes we’ve managed to haul the map down and cut it out of its frame, and a few more to secure and roll it. As we finish the last tie, Liam whistles. All of our eyes going wide, and panic ebbing from everyone.
”Shit!” Ridoc races towards the door and cracks it open as we all ready to flee. “What’s going on?”
I barely hear Liam tell Ridoc the guard is banging on the door and it wont hold for much longer. He holds the door open as we all race into the hallway. With the size of the map, it takes two people to carry it out of the room. Imogen and Sawyer struggle to get through the door. As they clear the doorway the door at the end off the hallway kicks open, all of us freezing on the spot. I lock eyes with the guard as he goes to yell out at us, willing him to not see we’re here and the hallway is empty and safe. And as if he does, his words fall short. His head darting back and forth before slowly edging his way down the hallway. Scratching his head as he goes. I did it. There was no sheen to the projection. I had perfectly replicated the hallway in his mind. But in his mind, we were nowhere to be seen. To the guard, the hallway was completely empty. Imogen and Liam start smirking, knowing exactly what I’ve done. Rhiannon appears at the end of the hallway, the map disappearing from Imogen’s hands and into hers. She stares at us in shock as they all watch the guard at the other end of the hallway.
”Why the hell aren’t you moving?” She whisper shouts as Emery appears at the end of the hall with her, ready to push the guard back.
”I don’t think he can see us?” Ridoc asks hesitantly.
”He can’t, but I can’t guarantee for how long so move.” I whisper as sternly as I can.
They all look at me in shock, knowing I am the cause of this. And with slight nods of agreement we’re walking as fast as we can down the hallway. For good measure Emery launches the guard into a wall, Violet hurrying over and pouring something into his mouth to make sure he won’t wake for a few more hours. Giving us plenty of time to get back to the quadrant.
Fifteen minutes later we burst into the room, chests still heaving from the run we had to do to make it here in time. I can tell Dain is not impressed even from down here. Feeling another pair of eyes I look over to see Garrick and then Xaden looking at us with furrowed brows. Both also clearly not impressed with our arrival or how close we are cutting it. I ignore them and follow my squad over to our seats just as presentations begin. As the squads present their findings, I can feel us all become smug that we have found the best thing. Though a few squads come close. One squad going as far to kidnap a scribe. They look terrified. Before we know it, it’s our turn. Sawyer and Liam holding the top corners of the map so it is fully visible to the room as it unrolls. I take my place next to Imogen and Violet at the front of the group. Garrick, Xaden and Dain all watching us with intent. I swear I see Xaden’s eyes widen as he takes in the map. Everyone else in the room seems confused.
Imogen nudges Violet and I. “This was your guys idea. Present.”
As Violet and I step forward, Markham and Devera stand, both their eyes wide and mouths hanging open as they realise exactly what he have grabbed and presented.
Violet clears her throat and gesture to the map held between Sawyer and Liam. “We have brought the ultimate weapon for our enemies. An up to date map of all current outposts of Navarrian wings, to include troop strength of infantry battlements. As well as the locations of all current skirmishes in the last thirty days. Including last night.” She says proudly as whisper ripple through the room.
”And how do we know this map, is in fact current?” Kaori asks, clutching a journal another squad had acquired.
I can’t help the smirk that appears on my face as I place my arm around Violet’s shoulders and pull her into my side. Garrick and Xaden going slightly pale as I lock eyes with them before shifting my attention to Kaori. ”Because we stole it from General Sorrengail’s office.”
Chaos breaks out around the room. Riders rushing the stage to congratulate us and try get a look at the map. I look up and see Dain still seated staring at us in shock. Before shifting my gaze to Garrick who is beaming at us and shaking his head as if he can’t believe what we’ve done. Even Xaden can’t hide his smirk and satisfaction at what we’ve achieved. All of us knowing we’ve just won the Squad Battle. And no other squad in history could top what we’ve just pulled off.

who do you need for a (fictional) rebellion?
I've been thinking about this a lot recently, given that my book series is about toppling. . . several monarchies. not quite sure how they're gonna do it yet. anyways.
so often I see posts/articles about how to write revolutionary leaders, but you need more than just a handful of angry people to enact meaningful change! here's a list of character archetypes I see all the time in stories centred around rebellions (in no particular order). you by no means need all of them. mix and match as you please.
a financier. this shit isn't gonna get done without funds.
spies. lots of spies. double agents, triple agents, people on the inside.
symbols for all the propaganda (this can be a person or something else, eg. your mockingjay).
someone who knows their way around the law to de-arrest folks and make sure no one gets caught out, etc.
demo mannnnn. or the swords guy depending on your story's setting (my demo man is a blacksmith).
the Really Angry Young Person (it's usually a teenage boy but obviously you can and should change it up) that's entirely devoted to the cause, willing to do anything.
not like, mandatory, but a character like saw guerrera from star wars comes to mind. specifically in andor, he says that as an anarchist, he's "the only one with clarity of purpose." kind of a blow stuff up now, form a government later kinda guy. basically you need some infighting.
ADMIN. you need someone organising all these madlads. who's reading all these 'emails'?
adding in my personal favourite of these archetypes: the guy that defects from the Institution to join the rebellion. possibly for homoerotic reasons. looking at you, agent kallus (from star wars rebels btw)
a tired older person who's seen far too much bloodshed in their life but is still fighting.
journalists/historians/documentarians/regular people with cameras (or the equivalent in your world), telling the world of the atrocities past and present. this bullet point is directly inspired by the people of gaza sharing the genocide happening there. free palestine, from the river to the sea.
the overlooked second-in-command that's kind of doing most of the actual work and keeping coalitions together n stuff.
the opposite of the spy: the traitor.
someone with charisma to convince people to join up. they're well-spoken and give rousing speeches. often, this person in actually the leader, but they don't have to be.
smaller groups within the rebellion that are probably constantly ignored by the higher-ups. will they break away and form their own movement? you decide.
add more if you can think of any!

The Newton/Crowley Mirror-Parallel in S1
Future Echoes from the Past #2
Let me take a moment to try and explain the process of how I approach meta writing. I’m not new to this. I might be new to this fandom, but I’ve been writing metas for twenty years in other fandoms. I’m an old hand at this, and I learnt how to do it with some pretty critical masters of the game. I’ve been wrestling with this meta for several days, which never a good sign. I thought I was on the right track here but got to a point where I was trying to make my biased square blocks fit into the round holes I was expecting to see, and they weren’t, and thought, nope, it’s time to back off and see what is there instead. When things don’t fall and click into place, when you can’t see the next connection easily, when it becomes too convoluted - and actually, I think some of the story is missing in the crucial places - that's a dead end for the time being, so the meta I was expecting (and hoping) to see didn’t emerge. But there is still something there to be revealed, and it was from a bit that I didn't think had much importance.
Tumblr media
A few days ago I posted a meta about how the paintball fight at Tadfield Manor was a loose re-creation of the Great War in Heaven that lead to the formation of Heaven and Hell. It was more a description of events and the two sides, and I didn’t assign any of the S1 characters to the celestial characters that we would have expected to be involved with the rebellion. For example, the manager Nigel strikes me as standing in for Gabriel, and jaded old Norman, who is on the verge of retirement, and who organized the “team building exercise” is most likely to be Lucifer  - he is the leader of the Yellow team, who are quite unhappy and full of complaints about the others in the office. But other than those two, the other bit players amongst our regular cast were missing, or unclear. And this was a problem, a BIG problem, because while there hints to who was Crowley, the match to Aziraphale was nowhere to be seen, and he should be there. So, let’s leave that for the time being, and move on.
In the middle of all this is Newton Pulsifer. He oddly arrives in the office, destroys the electrical system, then leaves before the war begins. And there is an even odder follow-up exchange in the car park of the office as he departs. I had to ask why - why add this in?
[It should be noted, at this point in the discussion, that while the paintball fight was written in the original book, the office scene that is the prelude to the fight, and the scenes with Newt that I’m about to discuss, weren’t. They are from the tv series only.]
I have been building up a library of notes and screenshots to help me with my metas, and Newt and Anathema have been on my radar. I came across this screen shot of Newt lying on Anathema’s bed after his accident in Tadfield and went “Huh, he looks very Crowley-coded there with this black/grey clothes and yellow and red socks. That’s not the line I of thought I had been following..”
Tumblr media
I kept going and then @ennas-aesthetic posted this meta about Jesus in S3 and mentioned that Anathema was an Aziraphale parallel, so that would make Newt a corresponding Crowley parallel – which would explain the screen shot mentioned. Then the final pieces for this meta were these two posts, one from @mouseonamoose about their thoughts on angel!Crowley and one from @cornchrunchie on part of the exchange between Aziraphale and angel!Crowley in Before the Beginning, at the start of S2E1. I’d already had a thought about another set of lines in this part that formed a parallel to Newt, but getting a second set of lines to tie it in to this S1E2 segment was a bonus, I must say.
So where am I going with all this rambling? Right. Let’s get down to business.
Hopefully by now I’ve established that one of Newt’s roles in the office scene that sets up the rebellion is to be not just a parallel to Crowley, but a mirror – he’s kind of the opposite, in a way. It’s like they are on opposite sides of the looking glass.
At the beginning of S2E1 we are shown angel!Crowley, the Starmaker – the Engineer. And what is Newt supposed to be? A computer engineer. Only, angel!Crowley engineers light, while Newt engineers darkness. Everywhere Newt goes, he turns out the lights. Which is why when he runs into Shadwell shortly after and is given the newspaper advert that declares “ASSISTANT REQUIRED TO COMBAT THE FORCES OF DARKNESS” if he joins the Witchfinder Army that I was cackling at the irony of this. Perhaps we’d better not get sidetracked with that though.
Tumblr media
There’s a critical point here that I’d like to highlight that I noticed, and how I made the link, because it may have implications in the future, maybe in S3. In Before the Beginning, Crowley sets everything up to get the nebula started, then there is a slight pause.
Az: …is something meant to happen? Cr: Oh, right, sorry, yes yes. Knew I'd missed one. Let there be light.
Tumblr media
It struck me that Newt’s efforts in making anything with electricity, the modern source of light, don’t work because he doesn’t check that he’s got everything right. He blacks out his neighborhood as a child without checking the circuits, he shuts down the entire office without checking his work.
Tumblr media
Why would you need both light and dark? You can't really have one without the other. It's the yin and yang. Its balance. To see the light you need darkness. And to see shadows you need light.
So we get a short scene of Newt heading off to office, with his Almighty mother handing out some lunch rations, and wishing him luck. Hmm. He’s holding a box that contains, amongst various things, a pot plant (a bromeliad) with a deep red flower, for all love. Ngggkgk.
Tumblr media
At the office, Newt is given the cold shoulder by the senior co-worker opposite him (I call her “Pearls,” because I don’t have the S1 script book and I’m not sure what she’s called.) She asks his name, but never offers hers. Sounds familiar, where have we seen that before…?
Tumblr media
Az: Um, hello. I'm Aziraphale. Cr: Nice meeting you. Okay, here goes!
@mouseonamoose mentions that angel!Crowley wouldn't feel the need to mention his name if he was a high ranking angel here, he would expect other angels to know who he was. [op adds another item to their list of pointers to angel!Crowley being a senior Archangel...it's up to 18, btw. Yes, I know its only fanon at the moment...] Just like the Supreme Archangel "fucking" Gabriel hasn't got time for a bit of social chit-chat before Aziraphale!Crowley is supposed to be executed in the hellfire in S1E6. Just get on it with it, pleb! We've got better things to do with our time!
Tumblr media
Outside, we see Newt has been given his marching orders. He's leaving already. A sharply dressed woman in a masculine-cut suit approaches quickly. I don't know about you, but she looks like a demon to me. Black suit, red hair, pink (which is a tint of red) shirt - she's a copy of Crowley. This is another Crowley-copy about to give some internal criticism to a Crowley-mirror.
Tumblr media
"Need a hand, Dick?"
Then she power-walks past. Newt is not even worth her time stopping for.
*Snort* - and ouch. That's a below-the belt joke.
She's just called him a wanker. In the US you might use the term jerk instead. Someone who's a bit egotistical and more in it for themselves than others. (and I never thought I'd be fact-checking the meaning of this word ever, but there's always a first time...) She's basically just equated him Gabriel, in my book (and in more ways than one.)
That doesn't sound like the Crowley we know, does it? Maybe, maybe not - but it does reveal to us a world of information about what the other demons think about Crowley, and more importantly perhaps it gives a hint of what he was like pre-Fall and why he was cast out as a sacrifice for the team, a scapegoat and example for the losing faction, in addition to the asking of questions reason.
It's quite notable that Crowley doesn't have any other demon friends or allies, even after 6000 years. Plus, he seems to have gotten special treatment during that time. Furfur complains about this in the dressing room in 1941, remarking :
"No, what's ridiculous is demons like you doing what they please. And somehow still getting on, while demons like me graft for hundreds and hundreds of millennia and never get a sniff of a promotion! Well, not this time. Expect a Legion to come for you first thing tomorrow. Enjoy your last night on Earth."
Hastur calls him "Mr Slick," and thinks he's been up on the surface of the Earth too long. And you kind of get the idea that Lord Beelzebub is holding back their hand somewhat in their conversation in S2E1 when they summon Crowley down to Hell for a little chat about the missing Gabriel.
Tumblr media
CROWLEY: [waving flies away] Augh. Oh, I thought we had a [spits out flies] generalized understanding. BEELZEBUB: We don't. You're still a traitor. I could put a price on your head any time I wanted to.
But they haven't put a price on Crowley's head. And they don't intend to. Crowley is still being given the special treatment. Also in that particular conversation is a hint that he was once on a similar footing to Beelzebub, and Beelzebub was also a high ranking angel before the Fall - they aren't Grand Duke of Hell and Satan's right-hand demon for no reason.
Its ever-so subtle, but its there. Those traces of privilege we were pointing out that Gabriel and Beelzebub flaunt when they abscond? Once upon a time Crowley had them too. But the passing millennia has slowly worn them away until we can barely see the traces of it. Although, it still shows up occasionally.
Tumblr media
We should finish off the scene back in S1E2 with Newt, though, because he does show us s little bit more of our mirror-Crowley in the car park scene. As the demon-lady walks past him he calls after her:
"My name's not actually Dick, it’s the car's name. You can ask me why if you like."
Aww. Poor Newt. While Crowley was stopped from asking questions, and cast from Heaven because he wanted to ask questions, his mirror-character Newt is offering to answer questions for other people. It's just that they aren't interested in doing that either. Either way, the conversation stops, doesn't it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To finish off, I'm going to leave you with this. I know, its about Newt not being a computer engineer, but since we've been discussing how Newt is a mirror-parallel to Crowley, perhaps it's something we need to tuck away in the back of our minds for S3 as well, when the past comes back to haunt us.

Fraujar, Tribe & Page Rework
Hey guys, been awhile. needed a break and I got sucked into other stuff. So getting back onto this one and have seen the latest pages as well so may give quick-shot talks about it. ✨ Without further adieu ✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's pretty rough and a few years old concept idea 😅
yeah, I wanted the dialogue to show both perspectives of the Leaders, while also not wanting to spill their guts out emotionally for they’re still strangers, despite being strangers. Adding, that there is tension between Ronja and Fraujar, rewritten,  both care about their families, which they should be, instead of them doing....whatever they were doing. Fraujar would also not marry and mate with his AUNT cause that is just inappropriate, you can’t scorn meteor or any tribe doing that, when you are literally doing the same darn thing.
Both had experienced MT differently, Where in my head-canon, Whispervale had been monitoring Meteor Tribe and it’s whereabouts, they couldn’t get much intel and sent out Fuss ( the morally questionable marshmallow ) to scout and be a double agent among the crater, but after a while they did not get much and he disappeared nor heard from him, During those times from the first rebellion from Kargo and Ferah, to presently,  Fraujar been a refuge for abused and appressed meteor dogs, and has through those times. Only sees Meteor as a glass half empty, while Ronja tries to see it as a glass Half full, but not aggressively positive, she is a war veteran from Asmundr, so she can’t ignore what happened from past conflictions, not to mention her children are still part of the bloodline under Ranach, so their lives are just as much intertwined as she is. ( that includes the curse, ya know...the one upon the bloodline with the ghouls ).
Fraujar  would be a reasonable Dog, Kind but, Stern and Cautious. especially involving Keirr, being an intersection between MT ( Meteor-tribe)  and WSV ( Whispervale ). Would have it that Fraujar gradually becomes allies with Ronja, it’ll be a stranger-acquaintance- friends-Lovers it will also be slow burn cause - obviously BOTH, Are dealing with personal issues as well as that meteor wedge sort of thing.
Side-note, In my head-canon, Isabel is alive with other dogs that were hurt, and has adopted Ruan as her own pup, and not have died from birth after going through that traumatic event ( What has been stated ). I would not think she wants to deal with that at all, and would be more inclined to adopt or foster. I would think most would either be single, adopt, foster or just straight up date females.
Fruajar didn't want Keirr or others to be near Meteor Tribe and their members, due to what happened to Fuss, an established member, and other unlucky stragglers without a tribe. Do to it being “ hell on Aedra '' and no good comes to it, while also trying to protect from that area. After some thought from Keirr, Isabel and Ferah, he went to visit Meteor Tribe with his strongest, and trusted warriors and also Isabel, since she wants to see it for herself as well, have a conclusion ( her son will be there with her ) . With the tour, seeing how meteor has seemed to change, then, Fruajar would bring Keirr along with Aira (since they were both supposed to find the pack together and not just Keirr ) as a form of Peace and initiation that Fraujar is making that step and Ronja can see that.
Wanted to also add how much the author tries to shoehorn Roamer and Rogio and any of his favorites and try to praise them or focus on them when there is a WHOLE CAST OF CHARACTERS he needs to focus on and develop. if you’re not wanting to develop them DON'T bring them in or kill them off cause they’re just filling up space,  collecting dust.   Then focusing on roamers, like a gray stu and forgetting that there was Kargo, ferah, ~~rogio~~ and others on Midnightguarde.
Extended Fraujar info.
Speaking of What Fraujar would be…did a little bit of him and the tribe.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
New Head-canon traits; Wisdom, Resilient, compassionate, Kind, Stern, reasonable, strategic decision-making, Cautious, Open display of emotions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fruajar is  a Crested Veilhound, a fantastical breed I created for this segment, within the Taiga and Tundra terrains of the planet. An ethereal canine companion characterized by a sturdy build, a luxurious coat in Arctic hues, and distinctive crystalline horns. Though the horns are uncapped under hard coating that darkens over time and age, only shown when broken off and regrown. The head pieces are never consistent in form, and can grow weird shapes and structure. Bioluminescent patches emit a soft glow, inspired by their magical connection with the
Caribright. Standing at 24 to 30 inches, these conceptual dog breeds play vital roles as companions and guardians in the nomadic lifestyle of the tribe, embodying the harmonious blend of strength and enchantment in the Arctic wilderness.
Tumblr media
The Caribright are Native Fauna on the planet. Serving as a spiritual guide and source of illumination during the article nights, these creatures share a symbiotic connection with the crested Veilhounds. The colors correlate with the dogs of arctic hues, grays and blues but the canines have an artic gradient of browns to more a liver color. A modest height of 3-4 feet ( 0.9 to 1.2 meters ) compared to the caribou of 3.6-4.6 ft. (  ) However their centerpiece;  celestial antlers are a different story, the glowing grandeur, ranging from 4-5 feet in length. Only known to glow when the night sky dances ( aurora borealis ) or at its darkest.
Tumblr media
In the Frostweald Tribe ( which is the OG whispervale), the Caribright and Crested Veilhounds forge a harmonious alliance, each offering unique strengths to the other. The Caribright's celestial glow becomes a guiding beacon in the Arctic nights, aiding the dogs in their nocturnal endeavors. In return, the Crested Veilhounds serve as vigilant guardians, ensuring the safety and companionship of the luminous Caribright. For their glows have been known to compromise their locations and draw unwanted guests. This dependency for each other extends beyond the practical, contributing to the tribe's spiritual bond, well-being and forming a relationship within the nomadic community. Together, they navigate the frost-laden landscapes, creating a living testament to the delicate dance between the elements of the Arctic wilderness.
a caribou-moose beast with celestial silver and ice-blue hues with variants of browns sometimes tanned. Its 4 to 5 feet antlers resembling celestial chandeliers branch out in intricate patterns, casting an otherworldly glow as the creature moves through the frost-kissed environment.
radiant luminescence eyes , reflect the celestial radiance of its antlers.
——————
Fraujar rules over the Frostweald Tribe. A vast tribe of 150-200 members including the Fuana Caribou; the Caribright.
Born beneath the shimmering Northern Lights, he emerged as a promising member of the tribe, displaying a deep affinity for both the mystical and practical aspects of Arctic life.
Fraujar emerged as a natural leader. His strategic decision-making and ability to guide the community through icy adversities.
Early in his life, During a harsh winter that tested the tribe's resilience, Fraujar faced the harsh realities of the Taiga and Tundra. A pivotal moment of the treacherous winter, turned to Fraujar for his strategic decision-making and resilience. Leading the community through the icy adversities, earned him the trust and admiration of his fellow tribe members.
As Fraujar's influence grew, so did his compassion. He was known for open displays of empathy, sharing in the joys and sorrows of his tribe. This vulnerability, rather than a weakness, fostered a deep connection with the community.
The turning point came when the previous chieftain succumbed to the unforgiving Arctic environment. In the moonlit gatherings, under the spectral glow of the Caribright, the tribe sought Fraujar to take on the mantle of leadership. Hesitant yet driven by a sense of duty, he accepted, becoming the chieftain of the Frostweald Tribe. however not all was accepting of him and migrated to other parts of the lands, more so when he impose himself in others tribes affairs out of the openness of his heart and morality.
Though Guided by the wisdom acquired through years of nomadic life and the lessons, Fraujar embraced a role of chieftain that balanced reason, kindness, and strategic insight. His compassion became both a strength and a vulnerability, forging familial bonds and instilling a deep sense of unity among the tribe.

Ronja: "Yes. But those are regarded merely as past transgressions. Circumstances have changed for the better."
Fraujar: "Changed…"
Panel 4
Fraujar: "You may portray yourself as an agent of positive change, but for how long until you find yourself at the receiving end? Until all you cherish is stripped away?"
Ronja: "I believe you've made your point, Fraujar. As have I."

Panel 1:
Fjordor: "Jarl Ronja!!!" the elderly male dog calls out.
Ronja: Her attention shifts to the approaching dog, recognizing the skull tribal paint. "Fjordor!"
Panel 2:
Fjordor: "You've heard of me."
Ronja: "How could I not? My companions speak highly of you, eager to express their gratitude."
Fjordor: "Companion and Jarl of Midnightguard. How fares your tribe?"
Ronja: "We're holding on…or so I hoped."
Panel 3:
Ronja: "Fjordor…I…they—" Ronja hesitates, reluctant to deliver the grim news to the Jarl of Midnightguard.
Fjordor: "Lady Ronja…?" His ears droop slightly more, sensing the weight of the unspoken news.
Ronja: "Kargo and Ferah joined my tribe after yours. They were caught between the Meteor and Ranach…"
Panel 4:
[Panel focuses on Fjordor's. His face falls, stricken by the news.]
Ronja: "…Kargo didn't survive."
Panel 5:
Fjordor: "And what of Ranach? Did the Fallen Jarl face justice?"
Ronja: "Worse. He escaped. That's why I'm warning you, don't let him get anywhere near you." Eyes narrow with grave concern.
Fjordor: "He won't get within an inch of me." His flared with determination and a flicker of warrior rage.

So how long till you drop the Deltarune Classpect expansion featuring the secret bosses? Haha just kidding. Unless... But anyway having not thought about classpects in like half a decade that post was a fun read.
i'm so glad you enjoyed it! ^^ it's nice to know there's a demographic for stuff like that still sksjsjk
the post in question for those out of loop here : x
and now.....
It appears my work is not yet done.
Tumblr media
Jevil // Bard of Breath
Tumblr media
So this is a bit irregular.
Since classpects are not only an allegory for a place in the narrative but also for character growth and progression, it can sometimes be hard to pin down a title of a character who had already gone through their arc. Jevil is someone like that - he's just hanging out. He fights you because it's fun and he's bored and won't you come outside? Let yourself be free?
Jevil screams Bard from miles away and his theme of freedom couldn't be more blatant but the problem I encountered was pinning down which aspect he was ghosting and which was his own. Bards usually experience a psychic break of sorts - we call it a crisis of aspect - that causes them to stop acting aggressively like they're bound to the opposite aspect. But the problem is - I would describe his encounter with 'a strange someone' as something exactly like that. So is he a Bard of Blood that is still in a way ghosting his opposite aspect, destroying the concept of imprisonment by calling being locked up as being truly free? Or is he a Bard of Breath that destroys through Breath by getting himself imprisoned and twisting the definition of freedom?
I decided to go with the latter because not only do I see his encounter with that strange someone being his aspect crisis as non-negotiable, this is not the only clue we have (even if it's the most crucial one). The way Bards operate before their aspect crisis is destroying their aspect through embracing the opposite one. Being a court jester is a very social role that I would say fits someone who is Bloodbound or ghosting the hell out of Blood well. Blood heroes are leaders, confidants and advisors and I think this fits well pre-crisis of Breath. He realized he's not truly free and never will be so he simply smashed his definition of freedom and remade it.
Spamton G. Spamton // Mage of Life (Kind of.)
Tumblr media
So, hear me out. I promise it adds up.
Spamton has clear marks of someone Lifebound. This clingy attitude towards success, recognition and money is a very clear mark of that. Another one is how Life heroes are laughably susceptible to contact or persuasion by some kind of dark forces. His separation from other Addisons to become a big deal on his own has connections to a theme of rebellion, and his subsequent rise to the top of the social ladder is emblematic of the theme of authority, both of which being something that very up Life's alley. ...Also, he can literally heal. There's that.
Mages, as I've discussed in Noelle's case, experience the good and the bad of their aspect and can even experience harm because of it. And the cycle of Life says what rises up must fall down. In fact, I believe that what we're dealing with is Spamton's experience with the one who stopped calling him pulling him to the bottom and straight through, leading to him inverting to being the opposite of his title.
Spamton G. Spamton // ↺ Heir of Doom
Tumblr media
Sometimes characters can experience a switch to the opposite title. That is called an inversion. It won't make sense for those who are reading this just for character deconstruction and have no knowledge of HS but think of how Rose acted like a Witch of Void, the inverse or her Seer of Light title, when she went grimdark. This isn't ghosting - it happens when a character actively rejects not only their aspect but their whole title.
This leaves Spamton acting in a way that is contrary to his nature - something isn't quite right. We get a feeling this isn't how he should operate but something happened and left him like this. For all intents and purposes, the narrative treats him like an Heir of Doom now, bringing about all things that have to do with being Doombound - this means he attracts the worst parts of the narrative, acts bitter and resentful, even fatalistic, is prone to visions of an awful end or unfortunate fate (this one I'm bringing up specifically because of his phone) and has a connection with nihilism and fatalism.
The inverse of his class being an Heir is also significant. Heirs inherit and embody their aspect, and Spamton does this two-fold - he serves as a cautionary tale of what happens when you hit rock bottom after trying to climb too high up, and, after the fight in the basement, becomes an omen to Kris that leaves a significant impact on them.

Friedrich Merz, Germany’s mercurial conservative opposition chief and a passionate hobby pilot, should be flying high these days as the country’s hotly tipped next leader.
One year before the next general election, his Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has enjoyed a comfortable lead for months with about 32% support, nearly double the score of its nearest competitors, as the fractious government led by Social Democrat Olaf Scholz plumbs new depths of disfavour.
But the chance at the chancellery Merz has been dreaming of since the 1990s has hit turbulence stemming from the country’s inescapable 20th-century history. Whether and how he can extricate his party from the dilemma posed by last weekend’s bombshell state elections will help determine Germany’s democratic health for years to come in the battle to win back voters from the pro-Russian extremes.
In this month’s polls in two former communist states, a far-right force became the strongest party for the first time since the Nazi period in one region, Thuringia, and in the other, Saxony, it finished a very close second behind Merz’s party.
The strong showing for the anti-immigration, anti-Islam Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) has left the mainstream conservatives navigating a minefield as all the democratic parties have committed to a ban on cooperation with the extreme right. A third election, in Brandenburg state surrounding Berlin, looms on 22 September, with similar results expected.
For the coalition arithmetic to add up to a majority, the CDU must now seek the strangest of bedfellows for a high-risk experiment in government. Cue the dramatic return of another of the most florid political characters of the post-reunification period, former Stalinist Sahra Wagenknecht, whose Kremlin apologist party came in a pivotal third place in both states.
Wagenknecht was known in those years for often antagonising – and perennially outshining – the members of her party, the successors to the East German communists who built the Berlin Wall. She finally broke with the far-left Die Linke last year and formed her own eponymous grouping in January.
The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW, after its German initials) has shaken up the political landscape with stances tailored to pick up disaffected voters, particularly in the east, who are still angry about government restrictions during the Covid pandemic, dislike Germany’s arms shipments to Ukraine and are deeply anxious about immigration.
Wagenknecht, a bestselling author from the east who has never held government office, boasted to reporters on the day after the state elections that her young party had “become a power factor in Germany”. Polling at about 8% nationally, it now has every incentive to exact the highest price from Merz’s CDU during the state coalition talks, suggesting it will set an ultimatum on ending Berlin’s support for Kyiv and try to block plans to station medium-range US missiles on German soil.
After the state elections, Merz, a westerner and former BlackRock executive, warned that the BSW was “rightwing extremist on some issues and leftwing extremist on others” – a “black box” with uncertain and potentially explosive contents. He nevertheless gave each regional CDU chapter the green light to enter into coalition negotiations with the party, as there is no viable alternative. That decision, however, has now sparked a rebellion within the CDU just when the party hoped to be closing ranks around a flag bearer to lead it into the September 2025 national election.
“Wagenknecht contradicts everything the [centre-right] parties have stood for since the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany: clear allegiance to the west, a united Europe and Nato membership as history’s greatest project for peace,” Christian Democrat Frank Sarfeld, who says he represents about 100 party dissidents, told the daily Tagesspiegel.
“Cooperation with the Kremlin offshoot is unthinkable,” added CDU lawmaker Roderich Kiesewetter, accusing both the Wagenknecht alliance and AfD of trying to “destroy” the CDU as a big-tent party.
Merz, whose impulsive nature sparks flashes of temper that concern even his allies, could now be looking more vulnerable with the revolt in his own ranks. The Munich broadsheet Süddeutsche Zeitung dubbed his predicament “Russian Roulette” as potential rivals line up.
“What will remain of Friedrich Merz when Sahra Wagenknecht is finished with him?” asked Die Zeit. “The electoral successes could plunge [his party] into crisis and cost him the chancellor candidacy.”
One key area where Merz and Wagenknecht overlap, however, is a hard line on migration – an issue that also plays to the strengths of the far right. Since 2015, when Angela Merkel allowed more than one million people fleeing war and turmoil to enter Germany, immigration has become one of the country’s most divisive political issues.
It prompted the rightward lurch in the AfD – then primarily a eurosceptic grouping – and opened up a civil war in Merkel’s Christian Union bloc, which led most of the West German and united German governments in the post-war period.
Merz, a longtime rival of Merkel’s who angrily resented several moves she made to consolidate power at his expense, has spearheaded an unyielding stance since she left the stage in 2021, which now appears to be gaining the upper hand in the country. But many observers say that the AfD, from the sidelines, is calling the tune. That issue, combined with a sense of martyrdom among far-right supporters because their party has been blocked from formal power, could prove to be explosive, said Ursula Münch, director of the Academy for Political Education thinktank in Bavaria.
“AfD supporters call it undemocratic that the party’s successes don’t result in it joining governments – they consciously overlook that you can vote for an extremist party but can’t expect that it will find coalition partners,” she said.
“However, not including the AfD will improve its prospects for the next election. That’s the big dilemma for the other parties.”
Political scientist Oliver Lembcke of Ruhr University Bochum said the state elections’ results leading to the upcoming coalition talks between Merz and Wagenknecht’s forces showed that the AfD boycott had at least, in part, backfired.
“The strategy of the firewall was to marginalise the AfD in the east by excluding it while pointing up the democratic parties’ steadfast principles,” he said. “That has clearly failed.”
Both Münch and Lembcke predicted that doubts about aid to Ukraine would grow as the national election campaign grinds on, potentially allowing Wagenknecht’s party to make greater inroads in the west. “Her success will drive her to gain further media attention and, at the same time, send the message to voters that it’s worth it to vote for the BSW,” Lembcke said.

i should probably post what i have for larrys backstory here huh shkffsd heres more or less what i have in my discord server (which u should Totally join if u want ✨️super secrect access✨️ to this kind of character development :3) (tw drug use, drug overdose, suicidal tendencies)
- larry came from a rich family. it was the classic overbearing parents, constant running of his life, no regard for what he wanted or how he was feeling
- the rough and tumble lifestyle was done to get back at them, something that kept escalating well through his teens and into his 20s until he was a well known figure in "that crowd"
- he'd be in jail every other week (to which is parents would always bail him out, not that he asked them to. it wasn't out of concern for his wellbeing either, they were more concerned about the families image)
- all this eventually reached a head in the form of Drugs
- what he had taken though, he couldn't tell you. he never knew anymore, just took what was handed to him and rode out whatever high it gave him
- he doesnt remember much about That Night, only that one minute he was with his 'friends' popping whatever at a party in some old warehouse, and the next he was waking up in the hospital after having overdosed on a cocktail of different drugs
- he doesnt know if it was because of what he initially took, or if he'd taken more after he'd blacked out, but either way he very well could have died if his 'friends' hadnt left him in the parking lot of the ER
- he wasn't alone in this, his older brother that he'd dragged along with him that night (the brother was worried, didnt want larry to go alone, felt like his brother was slipping away and was grasping at any way to relate to him, to get a foot in the door to bring him back to, not his 'old life' his parents wanted, but anything aside from this) had also taken just a bit too much of Whatever along with larry, only he hadnt made it.
- larry, of course, blames himself, hed told his brother to let loose, have fun only for it to end up in tragedy
- after that, larry turned his life around, but not really for the better, at least not for him. he did everything his parents said, feeling like he owed them for the death of his brother
- his dad got him a job at a well respected league office, and since his parents were only ever happy when he got a promotion or did well at the job, he just kept working his way up until he got to where he is now
- if you ask him what he likes to do for fun, he literally cant tell you, because he doesnt really know. his youth was a rebellion, and his adult life is a mask for his parents happiness. what he wants doesnt matter anymore, he took his brothers life away, so its only far that he gives up his own along with it
- he wasnt even supposed to Happen in the first place, his parents only had his brother because youre 'supposed to have a kid' at a certain point in life, and they also wanted someone to pass the Company(tm) down to
- larry was an 'oopsie' baby and thats how his parents talk about him. hes the kid they didnt mean to have but look at him now! all that aggravation was worth it because look how successful he is! he was an accident he was never meant to be so he better make something of himself now
about his gym battles:
- the reason larry hosts his gym battles inside (hes literally the Only leader that does that btw) is to give the illusion that the battle will be mundane, so mundane that no one there seems worried about the dangers of it while theyre eating
- it throws trainers off, making most of them not battle as hard because theyre afraid of hurting someone or something, which in turn gives larry an advantage
- the secret? it lies in the illusion itself, that being exactly what it is; during days where trainers challenge his gym (i imagine there are like, set days/times, at least for larrys gym, which adds to the whole 9 to 5 Thing and also ensures there to be multiple people challenging at once for the gym test to work smoothly) the restaurant has a mr mime put up their 'walls' around the arena area
- and the people in the arena itself arent actually There either, its yet another illusion that disappears when someone solves the test, which again throws people off trying to figure out how things changed so quickly
heres how he feels about his jobs and how they came to be in the first place
some misc facts:
- during those rebellious years, larry was in a band as both a guitar player and occasional vocals there are cds of this but good luck finding one :3c
- being a Rich Kid(tm) larry took many language classes growing up and knows at least conversational levels of the common languages in the pokemon world (IE any language i need him to speak lol)
- his nose his crooked from a past fight but its hard to tell unless you look at him head on
- he likes knitting/crocheting
- hes passivly suicidal
- from those Younger years he has 3 tattoos: a starly sitting on a branch on his right bicep with the branch actually being an old scar from one of his first fights. his brother had said it looked like a branch and that he should get a starly for it, so he did. this one is typically hidden by the sleeves of his shirt.
the second on his simple; 'live to die' is tatted on his left wrist though its normally covered by his watch
the third? a tramp stamp he got while absolutly shitfaced one night, its got the hearts and Everything
- he also used to have piercings; bridge, left brow, tongue, snake bites, dick. he still has the holes for these from Years of having them, and he still has the actual jewelry somewhere (except the dick piercing, that one is still there because anyone who Sees It would have to be close to him, and therefore most likely already knows about his past
- he used to hussle pool
- he used to ride a motorcycle, probably still has it stored away somewhere
- hes banned from at least one bar in every region

Is there any plans to rewrite some of the Super Editions as well as the main arcs of the series? Or would be that something that's too big of an ambition with everything else?
Yep! Super Editions are a lot "looser" than the way I approach the main series. Where major conflicts and most big deaths are preserved in the main series arcs, I'm more willing to shift POVs and insert themes that weren't there before.
For example; Bluestar's Prophecy (Canon) vs Bluestar's Flowers (BF Rewrite)
Like the original, Bluestar does receive a prophecy about how she has a destiny... but this time, her fate is actually that she will never have power. She is destined to give birth to a hero of great prophecy, who will depose the horrible tyrant of ThunderClan, Thistlestar
In this version, she breaks the thread of fate itself by giving up her kits to RiverClan. Mosskit, the chosen one, dies in this process which severs predestination completely. See how the plotline is preserved, but deeply altered?
Because Thistle Law and Fire Alone are so important to the Bonefall Rewrite narrative, Bluestar's Flowers is about the development of the two ideologies. This is shown through the addition of her brand new friend group, the Forget-Me-Nots, the first friend group to have members from each Clan (plus an outsider) in years.
I add to and alter the super editions as I see fit, even gutting them completely when I think it serves the themes of the rewrite.
Yellowfang's Secret is replaced by Brokenstar's Cataclysm, covering his life and eventual rise to power, ending during the WindClan Massacre.
Ripplestar's Rot is a completely new story, jumping into an interesting point in time in Clan history a generation after SkyClan's Exile.
Short list of the other reduxes I am planning:
Stormpaw’s Demon (Crookedstar's Promise) About how Crookedstar's family is haunted by Mapleshade, and how he overcomes this haunting as opposed to him making a promise I consider a bit pointless tbh
Bluestar’s Flowers (Bluestar's Prophecy) Above: the development of Fire Alone through her friendships, and how she defies fate itself.
Brokenstar’s Cataclysm (Yellowfang's Secret) On Brokenstar's life, his emotions and relationships, and the escalating Mothermouth Moorland war between ShadowClan and WindClan.
Firestar’s Quietus (Firestar's Quest) The resurrection of SkyClan, with the spirit of Brokenstar replacing Sandstorm.
Cloudtail’s Vow (Graystripe's Vow) Cloudtail should have been the one to confront the Impostor so he's getting the nostalgia-trip back home this time around as he remembers his life.
Sol’s Game (SkyClan and the Stranger) Since Sol is now a god, he proposes a game to a cat named Cinders; Three Sacrifices and he receives terrific power. Cinders, now going by the name Harry, decides between stealing a final kitten as a sacrifice or becoming part of SkyClan.
Hollyleaf’s Century (Hollyleaf's Story) Sol brings Hollyleaf back in time to the ancient Lake cats, where she rules as a tyrant, eventually causing the cataclysm that causes the ancient culture to leave the Lake.
Squirrelflight’s Horror (Squirrelflight's Hope) Basically the same but this time Bramblestar's reputation takes a massive hit for his actions, and the cats of ThunderClan are more politically consistent. Establishes that he is not a good leader and this is why they didn't catch the Impostor sooner.
Darkstar's Commandment (New!) Following Mapleshade's Vengeance, Darkstar establishes the Queen's Rights to never allow such a senseless tragedy to ever happen again. Oakstar starts the Crusade Era in an attempt to please StarClan (it does not work)
Ripplestar's Rot (New!) He leads a rebellion to make room to bring SkyClan back to the Forest, eventually attacking the Clans at a gathering and getting a tree dropped on him by StarClan. SkyClan's revenge manifests as Brokenstar, generations later.
Additionally I have vague, wobbly ideas for a SE to contain the Bramble/Jessy kit drama in AVoS since that arc is MASSIVELY POV-shifted and cut out Alderheart as a protagonist completely. That one would be called something like Sparkpelt's or Alderheart's Family. bramblestar's divorce
OH and Pinestar's Choice becomes Pinestar's Crusade, to reflect the trauma of his father's legacy weighing down on him.

Lamarque's Funeral
Below are excerpts of a translation I did in college from Alexandre Dumas' account of General Lamarque's funeral, an inciting event for the June Rebellion of 1832. The full French text can be found here.
"Mais il y avait une telle ardeur dans ces jeunes têtes politiques qui formaient le parti républicain, que, lorsque le briquet touchait le caillou il fallait que l'étincelle en jaillît, l'étincelle dût-elle mettre le feu à la poudrière, et la poudrière dût-elle nous faire sauter tous."
But there was such a fervor in these young political minds who formed the republican party, that as soon as the flint hit the stone it had to spark, the spark had to set fire to the gunpowder, and the gunpowder must make us all go up.
"Joignez à ces dispositions une chaleur étouffante, une atmosphère chargée d'électricité, de gros nuages noirs roulant au-dessus de Paris, comme si le ciel, en deuil, eût voulu prendre part à la fête funèbre par le roulement de son tonnerre."
Add to these circumstances a stifling heat, an atmosphere charged with electricity, heavy black clouds rolling in over Paris, as if the sky, in mourning, wanted to take part in the funeral cortege by the rolling of its thunder.
Qui m'aime me suive !
Arago did not need to repeat himself; he jumped up onto the platform. A student had replaced General Saldanha, he took the place of the student and cried out: –Enough of that talk! A few words should suffice, and the words are these: It is to the cry “Long live the Republic!” that General Lamarque started his military career, and it was to the cry of “Long live the Republic!” that his ashes must be accompanied. –Long live the Republic! Who loves me follows me! Not a word of the speech was lost; as soon as people saw that a lieutenant of the artillery was speaking, everyone was silent. Then the name of Arago, a very popular name, circulated in a whisper in the middle of an immense cry of “Long live the Republic!” With the last words of his speech, Arago seized one of the flags on the platform and – flag in hand, Guinard and Savary at his sides – he dashed towards our battery. But in the movement that had followed the speech, the crowd had broken the ranks of the artillery; such that the three leaders, followed by only about thirty men, had disappeared from the eyes of their other companions. At this moment, some gunshots rang out on the boulevard Bourdon.
I did this translation quite a long time ago and I posted without much revision so as always, corrections and feedback are welcome!

Current clan politics
(THINGS ARE NOT THE BEST FOR THE LADS)
—Riverclan is being led by Magic’s father. Riverclan’s leader is brash and hard on his warriors, often extending apprenticeships at the drop of a hat. He expects battle-ready warriors and punishes slackers. He apprenticed his daughter a moon and a half earlier than he should have, and starts apprenticeships half a moon earlier when kits show promise.
Very ridged in clan rivalries, the leader is quite prickly. After his daughter fled, even more so.
Riverclan, quietly, is planning an attack on Shadowclan
—Shadowclan is currently being led by Wolfpaw’s (Krow’s) father. Violent and bloodthirsty, this leader apprentices kits at four moons old, but expects them to be nothing more than scouts who run back for reinforcements until five and a half moons of age, when they are strongly encouraged to prove themselves.
Due to their leader, Shadowclan is on the brink of war with Thunderclan.
Shadowclan’s leader punishes warriors and apprentices harshly, physically and with grueling tasks. Warriors retire older than other clans. Shadowclan cats are often worked into the ground. A sort-of Tigerstar situation, but not entirely. Shadowclan’s leader keeps steady supply of deathberries and holly. Cats are encouraged to kill in battle.
In Shadowclan, you will either die for your leader or die trying kill your leader. Wolfpaw (Krow) is currently rallying a rebellion. It wants to be leader itself, because it trusts no one else with the job.
—Thunderclan’s leader is Monarchwing’s (Rasbi’s) father, Thunderclan’s deputy is her mother. Thunderclan follows the warrior code dutifully. They are not outright aggressive, but they are valiantly defensive. They are currently on the brink of war with Shadowclan, due to Shadowclan attempting to encroach on their territory and attack their patrols.
—Windclan’s current leader, Harestar, is a very peaceful cat. Windclan follows the warrior code dutifully.
Windclan’s previous leader was Fernspark’s (Owen’s) father, who was very, very violent. Under Windclan’s previous leader, a war waged with Thunderclan. As soon as Harestar took the reigns, a peace treaty was sought out with Thunderclan.
Harestar became leader through the chaos of the previous leader and deputy dying at the same time. It was claimed by a surviving warrior—from the battle that killed both Windclan’s previous leader and deputy—that when the previous leader died, the previous deputy told the clan to make his son (Harefur) leader as he died. Two other surviving warriors corroborated this story, one other said they were semi-nearby but heard none of it, and the others were too preoccupied with battle. There was debate, but Harestar did take power.
Throughout this debate, Fernspark (Owen) approved the choice of Harecloud as leader.
—Skyclan is lead by a leader fearful of the clashing between Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Skyclan’s leader knows they will be caught in the crossfire, and wants to strengthen the clan as much as possible. Medicine cats are encouraged and any cat who will remain loyal to the clan is allowed to join, doesn’t matter if they are loner, kittypet, or clan cat.
Skyclan follows the warrior code dutifully.
BITS AND BOBS
MY FAVORITE
—Badgernose (Soup) was originally a loner, who had run far from her last group, but found acceptance as a medicine cat from starclan
—Badgernose, in her old group, went by the name “El” and was referred to commonly as “Death’s El” due to her poisons. She specialized in finding poisons and ways to utilize them against other creatures and cats. She hated it, but she stayed because her group insisted that, with her help, they could get her brother—who’d been kidnapped by a rival group—back. So when she learned her brother had died, and they’d been lying to her for moons about his death, she put poison in the prey and dipped
—Fernspark’s (Owen’s) suffix was originally ‘claw’, given to him by his father—the previous leader, but when Harestar seized power, he requested it be changed. Originally, he’d wanted to ask for his name to be “Fernpoppy” but after his father lost his last life in a battle, he’d decided on “Fernspark” after his father’s old suffix.
He disproved of his father’s actions, and his father was not the best or kindest father, and Fernspark’s a little glad he’s gone, but he feels he should offer some sort of tribute. Make the suffix “spark” into something not only associated with war.
—Fallowheart (Squidney) dislikes her prefix. It was changed from “Rabbit” to “Fallow” because the Riverclan leader figured she wasn’t working hard enough
—Fallowheart (Squidney) is half-rogue
—Juniperthorn (Bekyamon) is half-clan. Half Skyclan, half Windclan
—Fogrunner (Mowhee) is a flight risk. His leader is very funny.
—Houndpaw (Oeca) is bloodthirsty. So is Wolfpaw (Krow). They both understand this. They do not like each other.
—Redseed (Reddoons) used to be a kittypet. His Twolegs lost their house in a fire, and Redseed—injured by fire and smoke inhalation—was taken in by Thunderclan. He gets routine check-ups for his lungs, and is told to not exert himself
—Fernspark’s (Owen’s) father was killed in a battle with Thunderclan. Fernspark’s (Owen’s) mother was kidnapped by another clan, but when given opportunity to leave, she had decided to stay.
—Fernspark (Owen), Starlingsong (Magic), Wolfpaw (Krow), & Monarchwing (Rasbi) are nepo babies (All of them are the child of a current/past leader)
—Starlingsong (Magic) left her original clan (Riverclan) for Skyclan to escape her father, who is Riverclan’s leader. She chose Skyclan because it was far from Riverclan, and her mother had fled there as well. When she arrived, she was crushed when she learned that her mother had been killed by a Shadowclan warrior only half a moon before.
—Starlingsong (Magic) was Riverclan’s previous deputy.
—When Starlingsong (Magic) lived in Riverclan, her name had been Starlingwing, but when she moved to Skyclan, Skyclan’s leader talked to her about a symbolic name change, to which she asked for “song”.
—Daisyshade (Greacie) assists her medicine cat with herb duties. Because of this, the medicine cat tries their very best to shape Daisyshade (Greacie) into a field medic
—Monarchwing’s (Rasbi’s) sister, Aldercloud, is secretly mates with the current Windclan leader. Monarchwing is keeping this quiet because they believe the rule against half clan relationships is unjust. They’re concerned for their sister and hope things work out.
—Juniperthorn (Bek) is below average at climbing trees. This is mildly problematic because she is a Skyclan cat.
—Juniperthorn (Bek) questions if they should move to Windclan, because she doesn’t think she belongs in Skyclan. But she’s also not the fastest, so she doesn’t think she’d do any better there.
—Fruit trio are friends. They make it work.
—There are a lot of friendships between cats of different clans
—Poppypetal (Guts) used to be a loner living on twoleg streets and back alleys, where they went by the name “Bear” and protected and lived beside their best friend. When their friend was hit by a monster and died, they lost their head and got caught by Twolegs, sent to a shelter. Poppypetal, then “Bear”, was sent to a foster home, where they booked it into the forest as soon as possible. Eventually, they were found by a Thunderclan patrol, decided to join Thunderclan, and changed their name to Poppypetal.
—Fernspark (Owen) is not the deputy of Windclan, because Harestar had been much too paranoid about Fernspark being like his father. They’re closer now.
—My thought process with why Fernspark (Owen) isn’t batshit, because, well, cat war and people war are different, and each camp is basically the HEART of a “country.” There are no unprotected “villages” to massacre. And the whole reason C!Owen accepted his father was right about demons in cannon was because demons burned his village and butchered his people. So the whole of Windclan fighting, with Windclan and Thunderclan holding pretty much equal strength in the lake territories here (as district 15 & 6 must have in cannon, for the war to last as long as it did), Windclan would be able to defend it’s main camp.
Sure, shit could happen, but there would be no utter destruction. Fernspark (Owen) would not be so blinded by grief and rage as to accept his father’s ideologies so easily, and be more open to see the bloodshed on both sides.
—Houndpaw is older than Wolfpaw
—Spiderpool (Spidey), Starlingsong (Magic), and Wolfpaw (Krow) have higher-than-average connections to starclan
—Wolfpaw’s underground rebellion includes Spiderpool (Spidey), Daisyshade (Greacie), and more people from those three’s assorted backstories. I’m thinking cats from other nearby clans could assist as well

Aka let's add Rottmnt Krang Invasion to the Reincarnated au oop-
This is the 5th time that he's made it to adulthood.
The 5th time that he'd grown older without all of his brothers and friends and father by his side.
When did it ever end?
The older turtle stared at the blood red skies, the ships of the Krang hanging over the wasteland that was once New York City like an ominous entity. Quietly bidding its time before it finally struck them all down like a wrathful god. Mikey felt a familiar disgust build up from within him, recalling all of his past memories of the interdimensional species known as the Krang. From his very first life, this alien race has been a reoccurring threat. Becoming more and more dangerous with each new cycle. The old ninjutsu master can still recall the other life he'd been in.
The one when he'd been small and covered in freckles.
He can still remember it. The Kraang and their bomb full of mutagen. The moment when Leo, his big brother, his leader had sacrificed himself to protect him, Raph and Donnie. Right as the bomb went off, mutating all the innocent lives at that moment and ruining the world as they knew it. Could still recall his time in the wastelands, slightly delirious and older than he should be. Separated from his brothers, his beloved friends April and Casey dead from the bomb. It had been a horror show.
He should have known that he would end up having another future where they would take everything he loved away from him.
Mikey shook himself out of his memories of a life that no longer existed, instead focusing on his current mission. The mystic warrior was searching for Leo and Casey Jr, the trio having gotten separated during a routine patrol. It made him anxious being away from his older brother and practical son. The last time he and his brothers had been separated it hadn't ended well.
Flashes of a red brother slaughtered in the beginning of this nightmare, of being murdered by a supposed ally in another life, of dying by an explosion in another one and losing his memories in the last one before this one.
Memories of a purple brother who died inside of a Krang base in this life, of being ambushed in Japan alongside their father and slain in another life, of disappearing without a trace in another, and of a bomb that caused his body to deteriorate in the last one.
Glimpses of a blue brother whose arm was torn away from his body in this life, of being the leader of a rebellion and saving several refugees lives alongside Casey only to be blown to smithereens in one life, of being blinded and then blown up once again in another one, to being double mutated in the last one.
Mikey forced himself to move faster, floating around to try and find the last two remaining members of his family besides April and Draxum. It was then that he had heard it. A shout, familiar and full of panic and anguish.
"CASEY-!!!"
'Leo.'
Mikey didn't hesitate to rush into the direction of the shout, practically bursting onto the scene in a orange flurry of chains and mystics. And what he saw made him freeze.
Leo was on the ground, his side bleeding from being struck by one of the Krang's demonic dogs. The older red eared slider was trying to force himself up, desperately trying to get to the younger boy that had been cornered by the monstrous being. Casey Jr was trying to keep the Krang canine away from him, his chainsaw hockey stick alive and whirling. However this beast wasn't backing down, instead snapping its jaws at the teen. Ready to devour him. It was seeing this that made the mystic master snap. Fury, old and bitter and murderous filled him, ignited by several past lives that had carried this wrathful vengeance. Lives of his rebellion days as a leader with no arm, lives of a suicidal, vengeful ronin who would not rest until he dragged the hell spawn of the Oroku bloodline down with him. He saw the panicked but defiant look on Casey Jr's face, his grey eyes hardened at the beast before him. Flashes of another teenager, a girl who was also a Casey who carried the same defiance in her very being. Who just like Casey Jr, had had her parent torn away from her by the enemy. Images of Casey and Cassandra's faces flashed through his head, and it fueled the rage he felt.
'I won't let them take my family. I won't stand by and let these monsters think that they can get away with it.'
The thought hissed, dangerous and poisonous. The mystic warrior reacted on pure instinct. Chains, bright and alight with flames that ran hotter than the fires of hell flew towards the Krang canine. They gripped it, before Mikey with a swift motion of his hands pulled it away from Casey Jr and Leo, who had let out shouts of surprise of his name out, and threw the monster as hard as he could. The sounds of the host's body crunching from the pure force of the slam, filled the air. And then it came.
The Krang canine screamed in agony.
Flames, bright and full of an ugly need for vengeance consumed the demonized dog, burning it up in mystics. But Mikey didn't care, he would continue to burn this thing until nothing was left besides its ashes.
'I'll kill it, I'll kill them all if I have to. There will be no mercy for them, even if it fucking kills me-'
The older turtle's thoughts hissed and screamed, consuming him like the flames that he fed. He was going to make the Krang suffer, he wasn't going to let them get away with this, not when they'd taken his father. Not when they'd taken Raph and Donnie and Cass. He would make them regret being born-
"MASTER MICHELANGELO STOP!"
"MIKEY IT'S DEAD YOU'RE GONNA BURN YOURSELF OUT STOP!"
Two voices shouted out and it made Mikey's blood boil in his wrath. Who dared tried to stop him? The ninjutsu master's head snapped towards the source of the voices, his light brown hues, once kind and bright and warm, now soulless and full of the thirst for vengeance and several decades of pent up rage that spanned over literal lifetimes dead set on the sources before he saw them.
Leo who looked downright unnerved and shaken.
Casey Jr who looked rattled and slightly terrified.
Those looks snapped Mikey out of it.
The chains disappeared immediately, the flames dying out as if they never existed in the first place. The charred remains of the beast that had attacked Leo and Casey Jr being all that was left behind. Mikey felt his stomach sink and nausea hit him.
"I......I didn't mean, oh God-"
The younger turtle began to shutter only to feel two pairs of arms wrap around him.
"It's okay, we're okay Mike. Let's just get out of here, I need to be treated anyways."
Leo said already leaning somewhat on the other turtle.
"We know you didn't mean to do it Master Michelangelo. It's okay now, it's done and over with. So let's go home please?"
Casey Jr piped in, trying to distract the older turtle from the wreckage he'd made. Mikey just swallowed, his throat tight and tongue thick as he grabbed onto Leo. The trio then began to make the painstaking journey back towards the base, a silence falling upon them. Mikey didn't say a word, instead getting lost in the whirlwind of emotions. He didn't mean to lose his temper, didn't mean to be so vicious. But at the moment he hadn't cared. And it wasn't the first time he'd snapped in this manner either. There was plenty of moments where he'd gone a bit too far, had thrown an enemy harder than necessary. Had been rougher and more angrier than he should have been with them. And each time he snapped out of it, he was hit with horror at what he had done. It was a scary thing, losing his head and having emotions from not only this lifetime, but all the ones that came before overwhelm him in this way. The fury and vengeance of several lifetimes that thirst for the blood of those who had harmed his family.
But the thing that scared him the most was that he also felt a feeling of satisfaction.
If their enemies were afraid of him, then they'd think twice before messing with his family. But he'd never tell that to anyone.

Bad Batch Trailer
So I did a breakdown of the new Bad Batch trailer here but I decided I wanted to include screenshots along with an analysis/deep-dive into what the story is for S2.
Warnings: LONG AF post, spoilers (obviously), slight headcanons maybe, lemme know if I need to add more
**Screencaps are read up to down then left to right**
Opening Beach Scene:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The trailer opens up to a beautiful beach, but a bunch of giant crabs race out, chasing Hunter, Wrecker and Echo. Echo is annoyed w/ Wrecker, saying that they went over the plan 5 times. That indicates Wrecker may have compromised them during a mission. Wrecker argues that he at least got the package while Hunter contacts Tech for a pickup. Tech, flying the Marauder, flies in and tells Omega to grab the tow line. We see Omega running after the line as the crabs run at her. She draws her bow and fires at one, hitting it’s shell, stunning it briefly to use as a step. She jumps off the crab and grabs the line.
Hiding Briefly Scene:
Tumblr media
The next scene is shown very briefly. It looks like Hunter and Wrecker are hiding in wreckage/rubble as 2 former Republic gunships fly by overhead. If I had to guess, I’d say this is set as the Batch go to rescue Gungi, but this is just a guess and not confirmed or anything. Judging from the background with the ruined building, it looks like an industrial place.
New Character Intro:
Tumblr media
The next scene introduces a new character named Phee Genoa (turn on CC on Youtube). From her dialog, it’s clear that she knows Cid and Cid has told her about CF99 (despite her agreement to keep them a secret). I’m sure that’ll cause Hunter some conflict with Cid. It’s unclear if she’s a mercenary or if she’s a rebel (or some new surviving Jedi or something-considering Cid was a contact for the Jedi and that’s how the Batch came to know her). I’m pretty certain she’s voiced by Wanda Sykes. I could see her being a Rebel leader or even possibly knowing Saw Gerrera (allowing him to show up again).
Quick Shots:
Tumblr media
I decided to include screencaps from 3 different scenes because they all go by in about half a second. The 1st screencap shows the Marauder flying to a pale green planet that could be Kashyyyk (Idk if we’ve ever seen it from space). The next shot is focused on a door as what appears to be workers run by. I’m assuming the door is how the Batch sneak in or something. The last shot is of an Imperial officer with 6 stormtroopers flanking him. They are shown later on.
Doing More Scene:
Tumblr media
This is also a rather small scene, but I thought it was incredibly important. Echo tells Hunter that they should be doing more. Now there’s a few ways to take this. Echo could be talking about helping form the Rebellion. Echo, as the reg of the group, could be talking about rescuing more chipped clones. They already rescued Gregor (while Rex presumably went after Wolffe) so he could be talking about rescuing Howzer (since he was arrested at the end of the Ryloth arc) or just clone brothers in general. I definitely think this season Echo will get the Batch to open up/be more respectful towards regs. I suppose he could also be talking about Omega and wanting to do more for her, to make sure she’s prepared/can handle herself (though I think this option is the least likely). I really hope Echo is talking about rescuing other chipped clones cuz I HC that the Rebellion started w/ Ahsoka+Rex (and Bail) and a bunch of un- chipped clones plus the beginnings of people wanting to step up and fight—like Saw Gerrera.
The Beast Scene:
Tumblr media
The next scene shows this giant mech walking, causing an explosion. I can’t tell if it’s pure robot like Kuvira’s mechasuit in Legend of Korra or if it’s an armored animal of some kind. I did see a theory related to this creature. The theory is that it’s an armored clone of the Zillobeast. The Zillobeast arc is only 2 episodes and ends with the creature dying and Palpy wanting a clone of it. Nothing ever came of it during CW so BB S2 would be a great time to bring back cloning (especially since Tipoca City is destroyed). I actually do agree with the theory and think it’s pretty possible that it is a clone of the Zillobeast but I also think there’s a good chance it’s something unrelated so we’ll have to see. It cuts to the Batch+Rex infiltrating an Imperial room (the windows). The way the trailer is cut, at first, I thought they were inside the giant beast, but w/ the cityscape in the distance in the windows and the barren landscape the beast is shown on, I don’t believe they are related.
Having a Future Scene:
Tumblr media
The next shot is of Cid saying that the Batch can have a future (if they pull off a heist) and as Cid says ‘future’ it cuts to the shot of Omega. It’s a quick scene but I think it’s important, especially the transition between Cid and Omega. The Batch struggled to figure out what they wanted to be (both as characters and as a show) and the fact that Omega has been shown to be more capable than she already was, makes me think that Omega growing into more of a soldier will translate to being a rebel/part of the rebellion.
Disobedience Scene:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next scene has Cody’s voice narrating over it before showing Cody with Crosshair. He tells the sniper that more and more clones have been questioning the order (showing clones running). Crosshair replies with ‘they are traitors like the jedi’. If you look at their faces, you can see the different emotions they feel. Look at the doubt on Cody’s face. He’s obviously thinking about Obi and he looks conflicted about what he’s done. Cross looks sad!!! Look at his face! He’s probably relating the clones Cody’s talking about to CF99.
Good Soldiers Follow Orders Scene:
Tumblr media
The next scene has Cross’ voice saying ‘good soldiers follow orders’ over him firing off a sniper bullet. It transitions to a battle tank with a still-active battle droid getting hit and exploding. This is the first time we see battle droids post O66 in BB that are still active and on their own. We do see battle droids in ep6 Decommissioned, but most were in pieces and all were deactivated. They were reactivated and helped the Batch fight off the security droids, but this is the first time we’ll see them still active/at a battle.
Burning a Forest:
Tumblr media
The explosion from the battle tank is cut w/ fire from a flamethrower used by a Trandoshan (possibly a Trandoshan hunter). I personally think this is how Gungi got captured. With all the foliage and plant life, I’m assuming this is Kashyyyk. I’m wondering if the Trandoshans captured Gungi and sold him into slavery (with the droids).
The Right Choice:
Tumblr media
The next scene is of Omega sitting with her legs pulled up and she’s clearly upset. She’s with Echo and she tells him that ‘you all gave up everything for me’. Echo tells her that they made the right choice, and it cuts to Tech, Wrecker and Omega, with Wrecker and Omega looking at Tech as if to say ‘good job’. That last screencap is probably after Tech’s race that’s shown later.
Helping Others:
Tumblr media
When talking with Omega, Echo tells her that there are others that ‘need our help’. These are the people that are shown when Echo talks. They are laborers, probably being mistreated. I don’t know what planet this is, if we’ve seen it before, but the closest one I can relate it to is Geonosis. It’d be interesting if this did turn out to be said planet (but I’m not sure how likely that is so I wouldn’t put too much stock into that theory).
Stay Back:
Tumblr media
The next scene shows Omega, Gungi and Echo being cornered by some new droids I don’t think we’ve seen before. When CC is on, it says the main droid is called Axis Leader. When Axis Leader questions what’s going on intimidatingly, Omega draws her bow and shouts ‘stay back!’. Gungi lowers his blaster and uses the Force to grab his lightsaber from the droid.
Wrecker and Tech:
Tumblr media
The next few shots are of Wrecker and Tech. The 1st one is of Wrecker and he has a rocket launcher (or something similar-I’m not good at identifying weapons/ships). He fires it at what appears to be an early-model TIE fighter, hitting it’s right wing, shooting the ship down. Then it cuts to a race that seems similar to pod-racing (from TPM). Tech is shown inside one of the pods, looking serious, before it cuts to Wrecker fighting off some aggressive creature. Since Tech is the pilot, it makes sense he’d be the one to do something like racing (I’m reminded of the entrance they made in CW S7 when Tech speeds the Marauder in and clones have to dive out of the way). I’m interested as to why this is actually happening. Could it be related to a job for Cid or the new character Phee Genoa? Is it just some characters that show up in an episode (like Roland/the Pykes).
Shooting:
Tumblr media
This is an interesting scene. We get a couple shots of what appear to be the same area. The 1st shot is of Tech and Echo. Echo fires at the ceiling while Tech aims. They appear to be underground somewhere. It could be deeper inside Ord Mantel given that they have mining tunnels or it could be somewhere totally different (or a planet we’ve been to before, just not Ord Mantel). The next shot is of Omega also firing up at the ceiling (I believe that’s Phee Genoa with her-but I could totally be wrong—I can’t really tell who it is tbh). I’m guessing that they are in some underground maze of caverns or something and they get separated. Echo and Omega appear to be doing the same thing which is interesting. I don’t think they’re firing on creatures but up on a rocky ceiling, either trying to shoot their way out, or trying to see how high it goes (considering their bullets/arrows are lights). If that is Phee Genoa w/ Omega, I’m wondering if that’ll be when we get her backstory. The Batch obviously got separated from Omega so it’d be interesting if the 2 started talking or something (like how Roland was talking w/ Omega about his mom when they were handcuffed).
Tumblr media
The next scene shows a group of battle droids get hit with a grenade or something that causes an explosion. It changes to Cody and a few clones, also in gray armor, fighting the droids. It then cuts to a close up of Cody in his helmet. Cody says ‘we are not the enemy’ over the video.
The Imperial Officer:
Tumblr media
The Imperial officer with the 6 stormtroopers appears from earlier. They stand in front of 3 masked individuals who are either in charge or hired for protection of the settlement they’re at. ‘The Empire seeks to establish peace and order throughout the galaxy’, Cody’s voice narrates over the video. Honestly I have no idea who these people are/could be. I’m assuming they are new characters as far as I’m concerned. The starship flying above some industrial area could be related to the masked people here or the laborers/workers shown earlier. Uniformed workers help load boxes for stormtroopers before switching to one of the masked people pointing a blaster at the officer.
Peace Was Never an Option:
Tumblr media
Another new character named Tawni Ames is introduced, though we only hear her voice as she narrates over this scene. ‘Peace?’ She asks, appearing to talk to Cody (when talking about not being the enemy). ‘Peace was never an option’ she says. As she talks, Emperor Palpatine is shown in the Senate room. During his POV shot, out in the seats/the things they sit in, it appears as if someone is looking at Palpatine. If I’m being honest I only saw one theory about why we see Palps here and it’s Boba. The theory is that Boba ends up meeting Omega and sneaking her into the building and that’s why she sees Palps. The theory is that Boba learns about CF99 and another ‘pure Jango’ clone and ‘kidnaps’ Omega. Under false pretenses, he befriends her, but he really wants to turn her in to Palps for a reward. As they spend time together, she slowly gets under his skin (kinda like Cross) and Boba ends up choosing not to give her up. As for the new character, based on dialog alone, it seems like she’s actually talking w/ Cody, meaning this is someone Cody knows. I wonder if this is someone he and Obi-wan saved during the war or something.
Escaping the Droids/Bail Cameo:
Tumblr media
The next few scenes happen pretty quick. The first is with Tech and Hunter. They appear to be escaping the droids (like Axis Leader). Presumably this is after Gungi grabs his lightsaber and they have to fight their way out. The next shot is of an Imperial industrial factory looking place exploding and what appear to be clones running. The next shot is of Gungi and Omega. They appear to be talking before something gets their attention. They could either be talking about the droids/what’s going on, or the other padawans. In the other trailer released about 6mo ago, there’s a boy who looks like an older Pietro (Pedro?), the cocky padawan with Omega when she says ‘let’s go’. There is also the rumor going around that Katooni, the Tholothian padawan, is a love interest/crush for Omega so they definitely could be talking about the other padawans. I also think Hondo will be mentioned and/or appear. He knows Boba and was able to convince the boy to do the right thing so it’d be interesting if he meets Omega as well. The next shot is a quick moment with Bail. He showed up in TotJ so honestly, I’m not surprised to see him again (don’t get me wrong, I’m really happy to see him again, I just wasn’t surprised). The next shot is of someone escaping on a speederbike on what appears to be Coruscant (but could be a different planet). I don’t know who it is, but it’d be cool if it was Bail (though I think his model has a different body shape—thicker/broader) cuz we don’t get a lot of action shots of him (since he’s a Senator). Crosshair’s voice narrates over the speederbike scene at the end with his ‘We do what needs to be done’ line.
Infiltration Scene:
Tumblr media
The next scene seems to be the Batch+Rex sneaking in (presumably the heist job Cid talks about earlier) and seems to be related to the scene shown earlier with the Batch+Rex sneaking around a room as Tech grabs some sort of black case. The next shot is of clones in a doorway, firing, probably at CF99+Rex.
Our Differences:
Tumblr media
The next shot is of Hunter and Echo, presumably set during the scene when Echo tells Hunter they should be doing more. Hunter asks Echo ‘you know what makes us different? We make our own choices’. I wonder if Hunter is talking about clones v droids or CF99 v reg clones. The former would make sense just because of the video edit. Hunter is attacking a droid and still-active battle droids are also shown, adding a possible threat. The latter would make sense because we have the introduction of Cody. Hunter could be talking about CF99 vs regular clones because it looks like they will fight clones again.
Rex’s Mission:
Tumblr media
One of the last scenes shown is a hologram of Rex on the Marauder. Echo asks him what he needs. Rex asks them if he can use them for a mission. Omega looks to Echo, who in turn, looks to Hunter, the 2 clearly wanting to help. Tech looks at Hunter, unsure.
Last Scene:
Tumblr media
The last scene is one of my favorites tbh. Tech and Omega outrun an explosion. The last 2 shots show Tech grabbing and shielding Omega from the explosion, which also reminds me of the other trailer where Omega is falling and Hunter catches her.
What I’m expecting to like:
—Rescuing more chipped clones obviously
—More Echo/Tech bonding time w/ Omega
—Gungi’s arc—In relation to the Katooni rumor, I do think it fits Omega to be gay. Her friendship w/ Hera proved that Omega works well with a female character. Although I will say I hope it’s kept rather tame, at least at first. More bonding/friendship type stuff before kissing. Like a lingering hug and a double hand squeeze (like Asami and Korra in the finale) would be adorable I think. Plus Omega is super sheltered and would be inexperienced in that area so I think any kind of social relationship would be friendship-turned more kind of thing.
—I really hope that Boba rumor is true. He doesn’t even have to be related to the Emperor or anything. I just wanna see him show up and meet Omega. But I’m so nervous with how he’ll look. Each time we see him he’s more and more whitewashed (including TBoB—w/ the skin bleaching Tem had to do). I don’t dislike much about CW, but Boba’s design in the Rako Hardeen arc killed me specifically because of Boba’s whitewashed design.
—Cody. That’s it. Cody. Everything about him.
—Crosshair’s choice. I’d honestly be pretty surprised if Crosshair decides to rejoin CF99 when they meet up again. I really think the better choice would be to go off on his own for a bit before returning to CF99.
—I noticed AZ wasn’t in any trailer footage (of either trailer) but I hope he recovers memories of Fives and Echo grieves properly. Echo was done so dirty and even though it seems like he’ll get a more prominent role, along with Tech, I still don’t like that he hasn’t acknowledged Fives.
—I’m curious about the new characters introduced: Phee Genoa and Tawni Ames. Phee definitely seems like a rebel leader based on her design, but as I said earlier, she could be a mercenary. I believe the ‘heist’ Cid talks about is Phee’s idea/plan. The other character is only heard so we don’t know what she look like, but she says THE LINE!
What I’m more 😒/upset about because they didn’t show—IMPORTANT—THIS COULD CHANGE so don’t come at me. Trailer footage isn’t meant to reveal too much about the story so anything mentioned here could show up.
—HOWZER!! WHERE IS HE!? IS HE ALRIGHT!?! IS HE SAFE!?!
—The clone cadets on Kamino. I believe one of them asked Nala Se if they’d still be soldiers after being sent somewhere else. ARE THE CHILDREN OK!?
—I hope Hondo shows up. He hasn’t really been mentioned when I search BB S2 stuff but I’ve always enjoyed him/his character.
—The armor/clothes change. I wanna see the clothes shopping and armor painting. PLEASE!! More domestic scenes please. There were so many explosion scenes/action shots. Like yes, we get it, you do action-y stuff, but a nice, cute scene is always appreciated.
I think those are most of my thoughts on this upcoming season. Honestly, this show gives me mixed feelings (the whitewashing). Their character models always gets to me when I try rewatching S1. And this is a serious question—
They seem different compared to S7 of CW—am I crazy/is it real? Like Wrecker is excited when they get shot down in CW but he’s fuckin terrified in BB?? Like they all just seem…different in CW compared to BB. Lemme know if I’m being stupid or something.
Hope you liked the analysis and a BIG THANK YOU to anyone/everyone that likes/reblogs!! Let’s talk Bad Batch!❤️

Claumitri - Obsession ?
Claude pored over the map of Fódlan his grandfather had given him. School would start soon, he should know all the major towns in Leicester before he left. Not that anyone would quiz him -- except maybe that “Gloucester boy” Judith mentioned-- but it would add to his confidence. He could do this. He could blend in. No one would have to know he’d only lived in Fódlan for about a year.
Yet even as he mouthed the names of the different hamlets and cities of the Alliance, Claude’s eyes kept drifting west to the Kingdom. His fingers traced around the dot labeled Fhirdiad and his mind began to wander.
Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd. Prince of the Kingdom and, like Claude, set to be a house leader at the Officer’s Academy. His father had been killed some years prior, but Dimitri was too young to take the throne. He favored the lance. He had quelled a rebellion not long ago. By all accounts he was a polite young prince-- though he kept company with a man from Duscur, which most people in the Kingdom disliked.
There was a lot to learn about Prince Dimitri, and Claude had soaked up every story he could. He couldn’t explain why exactly. Something about the orphaned prince with strength beyond his years and a reputation for sincere kindness kept Claude coming back for more. Dimitri sounded like someone straight out of a storybook. But no one could really be like that, right? Something else had to be going on behind the scenes. Curiosity begged Claude to dig as deep as possible.
It shouldn’t concern Claude at all, truth be told. He had his own dreams to work toward. Figuring out the story behind every smile would take time away from that.
Shaking his head, Claude rolled up the map. That was enough for one evening. Geography, and thoughts of the prince, could wait until the morning.
But that night, Claude’s dreams were full of golden hair framing kind blue eyes, of strong hands holding his own, of friendly smiles and easy laughter. Claude dreamt of caresses and whispers and heartbeats.
Gradually, the dream turned to soft lips. Gasps. The scent of snow filling his lungs. Heat growing in his chest...
Claude awoke gasping, the blankets tangled around his knees and sweat sticking to his brow. He got up and groped around for a candle with urgency. Once he had light, he stumbled to the desk as if in a daze and pulled out his map of Fódlan once again.
He sat there, in near darkness, staring at Faerghus, for the remainder of the night.
