Every day, every single morning, Donatello would run to their PO box and excitedly look through it, clearly waiting for something. Alas, so far, every morning, he would return to the lair dejected and disappointed that there was nothing for him.

However, that morning Don hadn't made it to the mail first, his brother did instead. And when he saw a box, well, Donatello was clearly excited, as his tail wagged behind him,

"Is that for me?" He asks, clearly hopeful, as he holds out his arms expectedly, "I've been waiting all week," They were aware, "I just hope nothing she sent expired on its way here."

Donatello hadn't exactly mentioned his penpal. Oops, looks like someone had some explaining to do.

Raph stretched his arms high above his head and let a yawn work out from the back of his throat slowly rolling his shoulders to ride out the tried expression. As he made his way into the kitchen rubbing at his eye to remove some of the sleeping dust out from green eyes before he prayed them open. Despite getting his gear on and dragging himself out from the bed he was not at all awake in the slightest. He was hungry though. Hungry and tried. Chewing over those two wants alone he eyes a box of cereal on the counter. Perfect.

Snagging the box with one had he used his other to grab a sai and use one of the ends to slice through the top of it. Opening it up as he flicked the end of his finger against the handle spinning his weapon with ease so it was face down. Slipping it back in place of his belt, hand then digging into the box to grab for a hand full of the sugar coated puffed corn. He could hear the the sound of a quicken pace suddenly and took a few steps to the right to move out of the open doorway. Donatello rushed on by not even paying a glace Raphael's way as he busied himself with his breakfast. Cheeks full and puffed out as Raph turned slightly to peer out from the kitchen watching Donatello continue on his way. It was like clock work it's why he knew when to move to get out if the way, pretty positive Don wouldn't stop even if he was in the way.

Raph said when he saw Mikey walking on it next raising his brow a bit confused on where Don could be heading off to just now. They share a look then shrugged thier shoulders. Raph making way to the fridge now as he grabbed for a carton of milk and drank from it to wash down the cereal.

Well Donnie seemed to be in higher spirits lately Raph had noted near being ran over or bulldozed over by his twin almost every morning as they seemed to mad a mad dash out to their PO box every day. Where they would wait around till the mail would be dropped off. Raph didn't think to much on the matter. Just that it was nice to see his brother had a spring in his step. The smile that had been missing from their face had come back in full force. Maybe brighter than before actually? Even when Don returned looking dejected over not getting what he was waiting for it wasn't like how he had been before. So yeah Raphael was curious as this kept going on. Mikey and Leo seemed to also start growing curious about what was up with thier brother as of late. Don't get any of them wrong they were happy to see Donnie in such a bright mood but seeing how he hadn't mentioned what had him like so?

Well it wasn’t that they were worried just being cautious. From Donnie always setting out and nearly dying because of thier inventions getting messed up or stolen. To the April stuff the three of them were just being mindful. Raphael especially.

As he sat down on the couch milk sat on the arm of the couch and cereal box nestled between his legs as he grabbed for the remote and started looking for the current run of the house of haha. Only to look back when hearing the same footsteps before clearly dragging across the floor. Donnie once more a lottle sad from how his shoulders were slumping but the thing was even with him looking down? It was still clear there was something going on. He just looked disappointed at best. Hmm what had his brother so enthusiastic lately?

The following morning though, with the clock struck nine and Donnie hadn't poked out Raoh decided he'd do his brotherly duty. And be completely and utterly nosey about his brother's business. Making his way to the PO box casually drumming his fingers to the door as he held it and looked at the box sitting in there.

"Yvoone?" He asked tilting his head at he looked to addressing on the box. "England uh?" Raph hummed over he went and pulled the box free clearly it had a good couple of items inside from how everything shifted in the one motion alone. Raph safely tucked it under his arm and let the box shut closed soon after. Little smirk to his beak as he made his way back now. "Now what excstly has Don been up to? Or better to ask whose the dame Donatello seems stuck on?"

Setting the box down to the kitchen counter as he went and told Mikey about what he found the two of them seemed to be sharing in simulators thoughts back and forth between them. "Guess thats why he's been running back and forth he was waiting on this package from this Yvoone." He offered with a shrug but he did notice the look on Mikey's a bit curious but he didn't think much on it. Not given a chance as his gazed shifted to Donatello now. "There's sleeping beauty as I live and breath."

"Is that for me?"

There's clear hope in his voice and one could swear his face was lighting up at the mere thought alone. Yup, seems this what had thier brother all Twitter patted then.

"I've been waiting all week,"

"Oh were you had no idea you been expecting something constantly checking the mail as you were." Raph said sarcasm thick on every word he spoke. But didn't phase Donnie in the slightest it seemed. As Raph grabbed the package once more moving tk holding it over to his brother as they eyed the boxed now.

"I just hope nothing she sent expired on its way here."

Raph figured it was a girl but the confirmation gave him an idea. "Hmm not a select admire then uh?" His gaze shifted to Mikey and that was all that had to happened before he yanked it back before Don's finger tips could even grace the cardboard. "Catch!"

Was all the warning Mikey got when the box was thrown up and over Don's head no long worrying about anything getting ruined as Mikey grabbed it and jumped up to the table to hold it out from Don's reach.

"Now tell us who Yvoone is Don." Raph said as he hopped up to the counter catching the box himself when Mikey threw it back. Donnie didn't tell them about his pen pal and if he wanted his gifts? He was gonna have to start opening his beak now.

Oh man I saw your totk issues post and I agree 100%!! Those are all things that have really bothered me about playing totk, and things that made playing it not nearly as fun (the dungeons, the shrines, the building, etc).

Especially the map!! When I tell you I was so disappointed by the maps on totk, I was hoping for something new! It really just feels like a modded botw, not an official sequel.

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the concept of “what if they had sent link to the past instead”? So the surface map would feature huge differences in the land forms and buildings that exist, and we’d get to see more ganon whenever he visits Hyrule, or go out to the desert to see Gerudo town, etc.

If they really wanted no sheika tech, they could also just have it being newly built? And you could introduce the new characters and such, etc etc.

(I also think the past champions are such a missed opportunity? If botw is about grief and loneliness, and finding hope in the hopeless, and Totk is about coming together despite that, it could have been really interesting if Link had gone to the past! They could have used the past setting as an eerie reminder to what Link and Zelda had lost when the Calamity struck!)

THAT BEING SAID: I’m not as familiar with the legend of Zelda lore, and haven’t played totk very much! I wanted to know your thoughts on this because you seem to have a lot of story and game mechanic knowledge that could explain why this could be a bad/good idea!

im glad you enjoy my rants, i often feel like im being overly mean but tbh were else could i just rant as much as my heart desires without getting spammed by annoying people (certainly not on twitter lol)

i have talked alot, and i mean ALOT, about totk and my issues with it, both lore and gameplay wise, i dont claim to be an expert on any, though i am an old zelda fan and aspiring gamedev, i really only talk about what i feel about it, what i think about it, and by all means im biased as hell xD

and to answers your question, i have touched on it briefly, sending link back in time before the shiekah tech existed would have been an easy way to excuse how they jsut got .. rid of it, bc they didnt, it literally didnt exist yet- and for reusing the map- though that argument falls a little flat bc ... they coud have already done that in present totk, like i brought up in one of said rants, things like flooding gerudo desert, collapsing death mountain, drying out zoras domain etc, and changing the location of the main populations would have already done alot without having to redo the map in its entirety;

the little changes to map itself really wouldnt that big of a deal if they didnt also send you to the EXACT same locations AND repeat the SAME LOCATIONS AGAIN but in the underground, like thats a fact i have talked about multiple times bc its so illogical in every way, anywhere theres a settlement on the surface theres a bigger mine below, its so stupid, the shrines conenct to a lightroot, the same, again, you dont need to explore bc theres nothing TO explore (its also extra weird bc theres one below taburasa (tarrey town) which .... link literally build with dumsda (hudson) a few years ago .. unless that got retconned too idk wth do i know anymore honestly- AND it makes the sonau extra weird bc why the hell do they have a bigass mine under every settlement ESPECIALLY UNDER GERUDO TOWN like, that just adds to my suspicions towards them)

anyway, link to the past was the point and yes, it could have solved a few issues (mainly shiekah tech and the whole "story" taking place AGAIN in the past completely disconnected from you the player) i personally am not so much a fan of it, but that mostly comes down to me just not liking time travel, i dont like going back in time, i want to play and do things in the here and now, i want to repair the damages of the calamity, find out its origins, maybe fix that too, i love to learn about past stuff too, but that more in text, no literal flashback (unless done well), i want to connect to the past but it also holds alot of mystery that maybe shouldnt be touched upon, some mysteries and unkowns are much more interesting when left as such, i want to THINK about things and come to conclusions that are logical and makes sense in hindsight even if it wasnt clear at the start, i dont want information and what to think about it told to my face over and over like im stupid

after botw i really didnt care much about the past, maybe about the acient hero who alot of people specualted to be of gerudo origin due to its red hair- which also got a monkeys paw curled bc in totk they do sth with but its so stupid and insulting that i do not accept it as canon, say what they want, there are no dog people anywhere in the past nor present botw/totk wtf is that i hate it- and its not even .. why is that the reward for that, it has literally NOTHING TO DO WITH TOTK ITSELF I COULD YELLLL AAAARGH

main point is that really, i wanted to explore the past .. in the present, i hoped to find broken old shiekah structures, old labs and maybe some left over damage and records from when the old king persecuted the shiekah for their tech, i wanted to know where the ancient energy the shiekah used was coming from, what the boss arena in the middle of hyrule castle really was- so many things just discarded and acted like they never happened or mattered; i dont want to travel into the past, i want to discover whats left of it, piece it together, discover dark secrets you can ask no one about bc all that knew about it are long gone- thats what intrigued me about botw, it felt like there was so much left to discover only for totk to throw it all away and just do its own thing .. but not commit to that hard enough either so its neither its own thing nor a sequel-

Family theory ⬇️

i'm abt to present the most controversial theory ever/j it's just a silly one xD (beware tis long)

as far as we know, xipe themselves descend on the charmony festival. but does this hymn insinuates that multiple faces descend instead of the entirety of xipe? let's first see the content of this hymn:

it starts by talking abt dominicus as a manifestation of xipe, dominicus means sunday, this could be further supported by the many mentions of law and authority as sunday is shown to be orderly, methodical and obessesive compulsive. "the gazillions of old laws have all faded" i suppose that could be ena which makes sunday even more connected to them.

constantina is the second manifestation who is a singer. who else is a probable emenator of harmony and is a singer?

from the collectible cards found in penacony, robin's says the following "Surrounded by vibrant lights, the audience was moved to tears by her voice. All the flaws, ugliness, deception, and loneliness in life were forgotten." it fits well as robin is many times portrayed in this manner.

Aelenev, his description is abt battles and war, it might be a metaphor but it could be talking abt the very distant past of penacony. there isnt much info i can derive from here or firmly link it to someone but i have someone in mind.

beatriz, while dance seems like the main characteristic but so is singing and feasting. "the world is a ball" i think beatriz resides over culture and entertainment.

now before i talk abt who i think the last two are i need you to know the family lineages, there's 5 families. the name followed by purpose by the head :

oak - management - sunday

nightingale - construction - Sir Whittaker (npc)

bloodhound - security - head unknown

Iris - entertainment -  Maeven Ellis

alfalfa - economy - oti alfalfa

ofc the dreammaster exists as a seperate entity of all 5.

there's some truth to the first pic, the dreammaster does control the 5 families, and his orders are absolute. the history here could be altered by History Fictionologists, followers of enigmata.

the hymn only mentions 4 ppl tho, 2 are the closest to sunday and robin, the latter isnt even a family head, which is a bit weird but makes sense why she gets invited to the charmony festival. but beatriz very much matches with iris' head, Maeven Ellis. Aelenev is more tricky to define but he could be Gopher Wood, found in the collectibles. i couldn't find anything concrete in his description but "we have discovered the lord's disciple in the mortal world" is an interesting line, i mostly took his appearance in consideration :

(ignore aideen and lesley) anyway- gopher wood seem to carry a 'gospel' and has a crow by his side (just like sunday who has erm a raven? a nightingale that looks like an eagle?) and his wings are scarred, possibly by 'battles' the hymn spoke of, aaand Easter-egg he has sunday's old halo :) i suspect he could be the bloodhounds' head, Maeven Ellis is right beside him btw

out of all the hymn has talked abt, in our silly theory, ALL of them are halovians who have wings. i read in wiki that halovians have wings in their biology but idk where that info came from...there isnt a single halovian npc who got wings.

"every Halovian in Penacony is a member of the family" gopher looks like an older priest, his postion could totally be of a head.

now this is spoilery (imo doesn't make much difference), even tho it was leaked to be in 2.0 loading screen but i didnt find it, so i went to great lengths to get it from reddit! It might be a scratched idea tho, I'll only put the most important parts :

Lots of yapping I know. Basically the ones eligible to welcome xipe in a ritual called harmonic strings are tuners of rank IV. We already know that at least 2 are emenators and the others should be too.

Also Aelenev of the eternal centurion, a Centurion being a soldier in the Roman army responsible for the command of one hundred men. A description fitting of the bloodhound head. The harmonic choir could refer to the oak family, and so on

But here where the contradiction happens, in oti's letter to Sunday

also if all halovians with wings are emenators/ facet of xipe, then sunday and robin had them as children..?

i could argue that the dreammaster chooses for xipe who he sees fit to be an emenator, and under his guidance they become a harmony symbol. robin for the outside world and im sure sunday was adopted for the same cause as bronya rand, to become the future head of the oak family.

now on dominicus arrival...this letter and the hymn are slightly contradictory...and the map text is too. if dominicus is a facet of xipe, why do they and the 3 others have to welcome xipe ? isnt the descent of the 4 of them considered complete in it's self? xipe is a plural aeon, if part of them descends it should still be an aeon. but the hymn insinuates that the 4 facets serve xipe. also the connection between sunday and robin to them is solid.

aight, we know who the harmonic strings are from the map text, it makes sense to think of them as the ones i theorized them to be, except from robin they're all directly influential on penacony. aand now oti's letter makes less sense. we can argue that each one of them derives power from a facet, maybe even becoming vessels to them or represent them. and these facets need to descend (arrive) for the charmony festival to reach it's conclusion, being xipe's descendance.

Miles Kane at Cavatina Guitar Festival 15.05.24

I was not sure if they will let us close to the stage bc on previous gigs (Matecki and John J) everyone remained seated but as soon as Miles entered the stage everyone rushed to the front. I managed to stay really close but actually not in his reach so i think i was able to briefly touch his hand when he was reaching to the crowd.

He was very okay with physical touch (and phone screens). When he wanted he was looming with the guitar over the first row, he was letting ppl touch his hands and arms. He made a lot of hand shakes and was moving his face v close to ppl, speaking sth and asking questions but it was too loud for an actuall conversation

He was doing all the classic Miles Kane moves: hugging his guitar, bending back, playing with one hand. He was really theatrical at some points: standing with his hands on hips, making faces, gesturing. During Come Closer he was pretending that he doesnt understand when the girlies where gesturing for him to come closer to them.

It was visible that he had fun, was smiling all the time, appreciated crowds engagement

And the crowd was really vibing. Knew when to clap and sing.

During Baggio his guitar malfuctioned so he gave it to tech guy and sung the second half sitting on the edge of the stage, practically in front of me, i had a reaaaallly good view

He was gifted a bag with a present but he failed to take the turtle plushie 😥

The whole band was really hyped. They kept eyes on one another, talking briefly and engaging in quick convos

Liam was a fucking hurricane on drums. He did his solo and it was sooo energetic. He had a tech approaching him many times and fixing his gear bc i think his drumming was v intensive, i could see the drum kit shaking xd

Nate has a very cute smile and strong heat immunity bc he was the only one remaining in the leather jacked thru the whole show

Ben rose in a crop top. Okay. It was really distracting. I didnt know where to keep my eyes - on miles kane wonderful shoulders - or ben fucking rose' half of the belly and hips visible.

There was no peekaboo for adults i mean encore. He signed the merch insted

I heard that he signed a shirt that one guy was wearing, tipped his chin and kissed his cheek??

He was looking wonderful in all black. That mesh tank top was later drenched in sweat and his tits were peaking thru ❤️❤️

The sound engeneering was top class. Every instrument sounded great and i dont have to say that Miles' vocals were top notch

(I'll get to your Ask eventually, but for now I give you one in return :B) So, your fankids.. Pam and Benson had Abby, but Morrison.. was he a cheat/oopsy result, or did Pam and Benson divorce and Benson got with Mordo after that? 8V Orrr are they a happy polycule family? xD

Oh in my AU, Ima say Abby is kinda her own AU, where Mordeson didn't happen and it was Pamson,

But for Morrisons AU, basically Pam x Benson DID happen in 'Pam I Am', and Rigby and Eileen were already together and had a kid (Daniel, who was only a toddler)

And beforehand, Mordecai was the one with a crush on Benson, and Benson had a small one on Mordecai, but never looked into it too much, just confused on his own feelings since he wasnt sure if he was even into men either.

So how was Morrison born? Remember that episode in Season 8 when Mordecai and Rigby got messed up and mixed together?

That same exact machine that Muscle Man was a technician for, is the exact reason Morrison existed

The machine was down and needed to be back up again so Muscle Man ofc fixed it, and needed it to be tested, and of course Mordecai and Benson were there and around at the time, so they were chosen to test it, they both stood in the individual tubes as Muscle man ran the tests and started the machines

The test was meant to swap Ben and Mordos places, not do anything drastic to them as the machines glew, Mordo and Ben outta view due to that, you'd assume they were swapped places when both tubes opened (smoke coming outta each one) with Mordecai walking out completely fine but ..

That wasn't exactly the case.

Benson walked outta the fog, with a little toddler in his arms, with a completely shocked face, EVERYONE in the room was shocked, (Muscle Man, Mordo, Rigby, Eileen, Daniel just now peeking in)

Mordecai and Benson were dumbfounded and looked at Muscle Man but Muscle Man had no idea what happened either or HOW this happened, where did this kiddo come from?? He looked like a mix of both Mordecai and Benson, almost like a FUSION, but younger.

Morrisons basically a fusion of both Mordecai and Benson, he wasnt just a regular kid, he had memories from both Mordecai and Bensons childhoods but as he gained his sense of self he had his own memories (all during toddler age anyway), but because of how young he was during this, he'd later forget how he was born or created as he grew older as it wasnt usually talked about.

Mordecai and Benson werent dating at all when Morrison was created but had to work together to parent Morrison, and Bensons feelings for Mordecai grew more and more during then, and Mordecai also grew feelings, eventually they dated as they bonded through the parenting of Morrison and officially were both his dads.

Morrison often has struggles with his identity even further into teenagehood, as hes a fusion of both Mordecai and Benson, he'd often see glimpses of Mordecai and Benson when they were his age, confused, and struggling, its.. Unfortunately a struggle he keeps secret about, but he always wondered why these things occured and happened, he didnt remember how he was created either, it all felt off to him, but thats just some character stuff! Not rlly his origins

But yeah he was an accident in that teleporter thing! Brought Mordecai and Benson together, (...unfortunately Pamson didnt work when they got home BUT! Pam and Benson are still absolute ✨ besties ✨ and Morrison calls Pam "Aunt Pam")

He and Daniel bonded since toddlerhood, all the way to the present, (Morrisons 14 and Daniels 15)

My dream about Logan, Thomas, Virgil and Orange

Okay so. I had a dream about a new episode and was so raw and cool, i had to write it down somewhere.

Note: in my dream i was so excited that I jumped to parts of the episode, not being able to watch it in one piece. It also had an unimportant sideplot so the “scene” has cuts here and there.

Thomas has some problem and orange starts to take over. Framing orange as „rage“. But Thomas is unaware of this and just gets angrier every day

At one point he sits at a table with virgil and talks with him about smth. Until Thomas breaks out in a lighthearted chuckle and says:

„Oh virgil, thats why from all the sides I hate you the most“ Smiling calmly, as if he didnt just drop the rawest line of the whole series.

And virgil is understandably shocked and doesn‘t know how to respond

Then commercial break. Side plot stuff happens until there is a cut back to the mainplot.

Later same setting but with Logan. Thomas called him because Logic would surely be able to help him.

Thomas wasn‘t understanding himself. Why he was so angry at seemingly nothing. Why he told virgil that he hated him. He was angry and yet panicked.

Logan listened to him rant but felt the orange aura pressing into the foreground. Within Thomas and himself.

At one point Logan knew he had to leave. So he stood up and tried to brush Thomas off.

„Nope sorry thomas, nothing that can be done“

„But can‘t we-„

„I apologize, you‘ll have to figure that one out yourself. I am no help here“

Which he said very fastly, as his main focus was to get out of the situation. Leaving Thomas by himself and his turmoil of feelings.

(Also a little detail, during the whole thing Logan was stressed out too but did a good job at hiding it. He even had his tie untied and hanging over his shoulders. He looked like he didnt get much sleep)

From here on out I was freaking out with excitement, since I felt a plot arc coming I had anticipated for a long time. So i kept rewinding to watch scenes again. And hovering my cursor to different parts of the timeline and seeing little previews. So this is why I only remember the following in little parts of different scenes:

⁃ Logan in the bathroom, having his Jekyll and Hyde moment with Orange.

⁃ Logan trying to calm himself

⁃ Logan puking out something orange

⁃ Logan trying to clean his shirt and making himself presentable again

⁃ Stitching his tie back together again

⁃ Only slowly calming down again and managing to separate himself from the anger

While all of this, Thomas is talking with his therapist and friends. Making him slowly calm down again and returning to his normal self. Which was the reason for orange letting go of Logan again.

Then i woke up. I got too excited xD

The reason I was so hooked on this was because we could see a direct connection between Thomas and his sides. Orange not only influencing the side but Thomas and his behavior as well. And vice versa too!

We saw Thomas as this angry, violent and out-of-character person. Which felt really intense. Also seeing Logan lose control like that was… something.

So yes. Im sorry if this makes little sense. I wrote this right after waking up so i wouldn’t forget.

so basically our class was ordered to go in pairs for this class actovity in Contemp. (Contemporary Issues, Economics, Social Science, we call it by many names) and the activity was Spoken Poetry.

See, my friends and I were talking about how my stage fright is kind of really, really bad. one of them pointing out that it has gotten worse since elementary cs in elem I can still recite without freezing up.

So when my friends and I automatically pair up with each other, this ass of a friend tells me first of all: "you're reciting. I will make sure that you're reciting."

Bitch!! I can't take that laying down! I did I took it and i wailed and i forgot about it completely resigned to my fate

Over the weekend we kind of both forgot about the poem. until it was two days away of course. but we still didnt message each other about it.

So Monday (today) we meet up and school right. and i ask him if he started the poem. he said yes. and shows me a single line.

i plaster on a shiteating grin and promptly reveal that i have finished the poem last night and am now editing it for final touches.

meaning, a.) he forces me to present anyways and i tattle to our teacher that he didnt do shit or, b.) he does the recitation.

boy, he kept trying to take my phone and edit it himself so he can still push me to recite. my other friends just laughed and booed jokingly at him

he tries to excuse thag i said nothing about it over the weekend and i sling out a quote from our homeroom advisor that if you cant find anything to help with, you ask for something to help with, so you can have contribution.

to which our friends laugh at him more.

eventually he relents to not heavily edit (read: delete and replace) my poem cs its actually mediocre just needs some tweaking to flow better and i have now dodged a bullet called facing the class and reciting poems :D his single line became the poems title. cs i couldnt think of a title.

ps. it was probably better that way. last time we worked together for a paragraph in our native language i can barely make sense of his grammar. i got the gist but his words not wording. now the only stage fright bullet i cant dodge is the mandatory speech each and every one of us has to do in front of the class....

since this new project will take a while, I think it would be a decent time to show you guys just how far I've come over the years, where I started from and why i like aegislashso much! :D

When I was younger I wasnt that big into pokemon like I am today. I wouldn't even get fully into pokemon until 2014 when I met honedge for the first time. I instantly loved honedge and Honedge basically set the foundation for my pokemon collection, my ocs, my lore and pretty much everything pokemon related. It even made me start collecting my own swords!

After I found and evolved my first honedge I instantly went to work making a character for myself which would be my very first pokemon oc! His name was king gargoyle and he may look a bit familiar but I'll get into that later

This design would exist for a few weeks until I had revised the design and turned it into the image you see below. This design would last for a few months and it was one of my favorites

I actually made so much art with this design that I spent hours sorting through all of it xD

This design is still pretty good in my opinion but there is one i liked even better than this one and it would turn into what you see today.

This better design wouldnt exist until I had decided to experiment with new things and ideas and im actually disappointed that i didnt do this a lot sooner. Nonetheless, this design eventually evolved into king gargoyles second to last design which looked like this. Pretty familiar right?

Over time I had forgotten everything about him so I decided to give him a new name and backstory. This is still one of my favorite designs to this day.

And here he is now in the present, the design you're all familiar with. He came a long way from where he started from and he is one of my oldest ocs to still exist and be used today. Masamune may not be the best or most perfect oc out there but to me, Masamune holds a special place in my heart and I love him.

My other ocs have had slight changes to them over the years but mostly they've stayed the same. Who knows, maybe someday I'll change them too but right now I'm happy with them so they'll stay the same for now.

The honedge line has done a lot for me by simply existing, without them I may have never even gotten into pokemon like I am today. And yes, I did annoy my friends to death talking endlessly about how cool aegislash was but they still tolerated me xD

KeiYaku ep7

Haven’t been around here lately but I need to write about this especific episode of KeiYaku, because it was really good, the mood, the music, the acting, the color. Everything was put in for give you different emotions: danger, fear and of course the bRomance that ep by ep is more strong. XD KeiYaku have been an awesome drama, not only because the bRomance, it’s the whole that is so good. So let’s see why Ep7 stands out of all other episodes... spoilers a head...

The episode start with the usual recap to cut abruptly to show the title in an unusal way, and since then you know this episode is THE EPISODE, in fact it is because even if the BAD GUY have been showed in prev episodes, in this one you can truly see him, we see how a treat he can be to our dear protagonist. And all the episode gives us that DANGER feeling since this espefic title presentation.

After this goes a heartwarming tease scene. Just to show that IS A DREAM of Ichiro. Meaning that Ichiro now have more strong feelings toward Shiro. XD But this scene even cute, feels strange because the bg music keeps playing even when cut to the prevcap.

Next scene we have prime minister in the barber. You know there is a especific close up of how he is sharpening the shaver.

This guy appears... and you see, that warning green light stand out in contrast with all other colors of the scene. That green light will be important.

There is a close up to this guy... that will be important in the episode. You can't help to feel an ominous sensation.

After this they are trying to make Shiro aniki to talk about the incident, Shiro’s working place have never been with much light, but this time in specific, there is a green color to stand out, make us psychologically remember a warning sign. The color people here did their work really well.

So they go ahead with a plan with help of Shiro’s aniki, to talk with this person that the Minegami gang had made trades in the past. They go to a restaurant, they will be listening in the other side. These two act like a couple like the most normal thing. X,D bRomance in the air. X,D You see the color? Yellow warm...there is light, there is comfort... so the next scene...

The BAD guy enters the scene... and you can feel it: THIS IS THE BIG BAD GUY. He means DANGER. And you see there is the faint green light. He constrols the situation, he know he is been heard from other side, he knows who is listening. so he mention Chika chan. And of course Ichiro react. Knowing what Chika means to Ichiro, Shiro tell him that he must go to protect her and he promise to be careful. Shiro puts his hand on Ichiro and later Ichiro put his hand on Shiro. Like saying: BABY PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

Ichiro finds Chika and they talk this time alot. And we can see more of interaction between them. Seriously is good. Chika tell Ichiro that he have changed, Chika is a very perceptive and intelligent woman I like her, she feels natural. Shiro returns to his work place and aniki too but just look who is waiting for him:

And yeah, look he is frame with a green light. And you know... Shiro too have been framed with a green light.

Specially when this guy enter, the barber of the benning of the ep:

Ichiro es dead worried, they talked with Shiro more early, but he havent arrived. He calls again to find that Shiro left his phone in the place. Rion gives him a gun. and goes to rescue Shiro.

The scene of Shiro and the barber is really intimidating, you can feel that Shiro is in danger. Really danger. Specially because he is vulnerable in his position. Makes you scream: SHIROOO WTFFFFF!! BABY, RUN!! THAT GUY IS A KILLER AND YOU KNOW IT!!

Shiro is trying to take out some info from him. But that’s going too far baby!! TTATT In the ep when he was taked as hostage... he talked about how he had been tortured before... so yeah... Shiro thought he could manage the situation. Shiro didnt care for his life before... but now is different.

Ichiro enters...and just because he had the gun... the barber guy didnt take action. The scene is sooo good.

The barber is EVIL you know... saying: came again you two!

Sir I hope you die a horrible death because the scare you made me through.

Now here we can see that Shiro baby was really scared (because he hug Ichiro first)t!! TTATT Probably he was before too (before meeting Ichiro) but now that he have someone to rely on... someone who can save him... someone to be vulnerable with...

The no homo moment. XD

Come on guys cuddle more will ya?! XD You deserve it.

So they got back to home and eat with Chika. We know later that Shiro had the same dream that Ichiro. XD

What they have is the definition of LOVE. TTvTT 

So the scene of them playing cute together washing the dishes could have been heartwarming if the scene before wasn’t the baber guy killing Shiro’s aniki.

The whole scene was cute yeah but gives you the feeling of a BIG DANGER. Shiro and Ichiro are happy together but they are still in danger. And feels just perfect because we are near the ending. TTATT

So yeah that was EP7 of KeiYaku of course there are ALOT of details that I couldnt point out so Yeah GO AND SEE IT. It’s awesome, had me in the edge of my seat all episode.

Fruits Basket Manga Review ch (90)- First pages ONLY.

I skimmed thro ch-89 to know the context of ch-90. it was Cinderella’s play. In this chapter, Kyo says early on, that time has passed since the play & that they are NOW starting their third year in high school. cool.

This part will ONLY focus on the 1st few pages of ch 90 abt (kyo & tohru) & stop before kyo’s memories starts, because the early pages contain:

Tons of new unexplored analysis of (kyo & tohru) characters that unfortunately was intentionally cut & worse! “changed” in the anime.

No space to add kyoko’s story in this post.

Kyoko’s story is full psychologically & socially.. I need to take a deeeeeeep breath before I unpack it. very deeeeep breath!

-Glimpses of Tohru (the silent grieving girl) Subtle Writing of Grief:

Right from the beginning, I hate how much insight into tohru’s grief & weakness as a human being is already there in the first few pages of ch-90 than the entire 3 seasons of the anime! From few pages we have:

Tohru’s seemingly delighted watching a video. Subtly, showcasing tohru’s grieve & paving the path for tohru’s trauma exploration later in the story. Grief is not sth you quickly past, that’s the most tragic misunderstanding of grief. Time will pass, so, you’ll be better & healthier. Really?!. Tohru’s inner desire to see her mom alive manifested in her words: “ like a photo comes to life” T_T.

The story/writing/manga is acknowledging tohru’s heartbreaking & NOT cute habit of talking to her mom’s cold dead photo! In the anime, tohru talks to her a lot in se01 & it’s up to you to see as as “ cute” as all the canon characters do or actually feeling it IS wrong. Kyo’s  “ what would she do if there were a video of her mom”! “ drives the point more abt tohru being a sad grieving human~not the “advice-giving, optimistic angel, & rain-stopping sunshine in the anime.

Tohru telling kyo to NOT catch cold connecting it to se01, ep 9 (haru’s ep) when tohru was afraid that yuki might catch cold & kyo noticed that! so now in se03, they’re dropping this plot altogether within the main anime, for what? we dont even know if this part would be included in whatever “ kyoko’s” spinoff content would be. -_-’.

That’s how you write subtle trauma such as (grief) for a main (female) MC. subtlety is the key. Respect the viewers intelligence & do it.

You don’t have to give her the long speeches or the many focused ep that yuki had. he’s the kind who confront himself inwardly constantly.

You don’t have to showcase drama, confrontation & force the emotions out like you did with kyo. he runs from his trauma & punishes himself.

Tohru buries her feelings! she’s different from both kyo & yuki. So, with her subtle & symbolic scenes are enough!!!The viewers will catch it if you show it, but ignoring it, cutting it & hoping the viewers will magically predict what you cut, is weird. But the anime isn’t even into us predicting nor subtly showing her cuz this tohru is NOT the tohru we have in the anime. How?

Simply cuz there is no kyo’s inner thoughts abt small things such as tohru’s photo obsession which subtly shows her grief & trauma. If kyo didn’t monologue abt her, tohru does not exist as she’s meant to be. You loose the subtle insights into tohru if you cut kyo’s inner thoughts. Not everything kyo thinks abt in regards to tohru is romance!!! That’s a very narrow & superficial look into the writing of kyo/’tohru dynamics. Flip the pages, hmm..cut this kyoru scene here & there cuz we dont want the anime to be only their love story.. But the story itself IS NOT only their love story at all. These pages/scenes here are abt tohru as a PERSON. Not tohru the lover...

- Writing Clashes between manga & anime: (Kyo’s Conscious Gradual Psychological Exploration vs Shock Value & Drama)

In ch 90 i really love all the inner self talking that kyo’s doing. It really explains why he ended up rejecting tohru so strongly. Also, going for a trip into kyo’s mind is hella exciting, new, refreshing & full of analysis-worthy exploration! Kyo’s inner psychological argument with himself is a psychologically-informed presentation of a tried guilty mind:

“ Why can’t I stop thinking of (kyoko’s words) lately? Acknowledging that he IS remembering kyoko & never forgot her. This is also supported in the anime itself. When he apologized to a sleeping tohru in se01, ep14 & se02, ep9 , confronting yuki in the stairs & other instances as well. 

“ It’s like a lid been opened & all the memories came pouring”. Acknowledging that kyo DID open his lid since se02, ep9 byt chose to run & not confront it due to his guilt of ruining tohru’s happiness by confessing his connection to her mom. 

“ pretending I didn’t know, pretending I forgot”. Here is a blatant clash in kyo’s writing (1) between the anime & manga (2) between the anime’s episodes themselves!!. In the manga, again kyo chose to ignore & pretended to forget. Death is NOT sth you forgot. Kyo saw kyoko bleeding & dying.  The anime chose to make him totally forget & it could’ve worked if they didn’t included all the canon moments of him actually remembering & pretending to forget. Is that lazy writing? or was the director for se03 different from se 1 &2 &? chose to NOT watch the two previous seasons? Why would you consciously include a contradicting depiction of your character on screen for thousands of confused viewers? Was the scene of kyo’s shocked gave upon seeing kyoko’s photo that artistically appealing that you forgot everything? I really have NO problem of kyo forgetting kyoko if that was written in the anime since se01, but it wasn't. that's why it sucks. 

“Is this payback? maybe I want to blame ME?” augh! i love this line so much! Directly hinting to the viewers that this is kyo’s one-sided guilt before his story with kyoko even started! subtly paving the path for the reason of his rejection of tohru” I dont want forgiveness. I want to blame ME.

-I don’t mind that the anime left kyo’s thoughts of kyoko until the climax in eo8, cuz ep 8 was SO well-done! Se03, ep 8 pacing was very suitable to (1) uncovering dark secrets & death, trauma, & guilt. (2)  for exploring the effects such secrets on kyo’s character, decisions, mentality. Also, the animation of kyo’s face all ep 8 was one of the most expressive facial expressions the anime has ever delivered! The eyebrows, eyes, mouth, tears, body languages, heartache was all 100% perfect. The fact that the following eps didnt have much time to express everything & chapters were cramped is not ep 8′s fault but the decision to have 13 eps. Kyo’s delayed trauma deserved to have its own ep.

-What I DO mind is the added scene of ep 6 where he freaked out upon seeing kyoko’s picture, the concept of shock is perfect & so suitable for an anime but was NEVER properly written into the anime itself from the beginning. On the contrary, the anime itself contradict such usage of such value. Good job ruining an otherwise perfect-depiction of two traumatized characters (kyo & tohru) with ONE scene.. -_-

Side Notes:

I thought tohru is narrating the 1st page in ch-90, turned it out it is kyo!!!! Kyo narrates sth? Kyo monologues? kyo has a POV? Just the setting of kyo doing that feels different! I duno if it cuz when that happens in the anime it’s always clash & drama! lol, or cuz it’s sth original!

Shigure’s “ it’s broadcasted all over the nation” is epic! XD! you know poor stupid kyo would fall for that! XD. kyo, you really are an idiot! XD... man this scene would’ve been epic comedy~ lol.

Tohru not knowing what a “dvd” is is outdated for the anime, but to still keep the sentiment of “her wishing she’d have a video footage of her mom”, they could’ve replaced her words with “ It’d be fun watching this play years from now & remembering all the details”. I know that to some, it feels weird that tohru doesn't have video footage of her mom in this era. but trust me, this is more common than you might think. My late brother, who’s way younger than me, doesn't have much video footage, he always felt awkward & preferred not to be filmed. We got photos for him tho~

Even if you want kyo’s knowledge of kyoko to be in the climax only. You can always include this scene of tohru & kyo in the first pages in the anime somehow. It doesn't even need to be abt the dvd even tho that’s manageable. Cutting this short scene of them talking abt videos, & catching cold is cutting tohru’s trauma from its core. Then, the old grandpa’s narration from se03, ep6 would at least have some backup in the anime’s canon.

Momiji & shigure are perfect as a comedic duo!

Pinning kyo at the beginning is epic~ kyo always gets the BEST romantic lines when he talks to himself. “ burning (tohru’s ) memories into my head or forgetting everything”. The torturing fire inside him is only distinguished by loving her but is also ignited by loving her~ what’s the solution~

Actually, I like the 04 film about as much as I like TaG (heresy, I know XD).

I've a few issues with it, but overall I'm a fan of it, and there are actually elements that were later used in TaG present in it! (04TinTin is FAR closer to Kayo than ogTinTin)

Theme song is a BOP AND A HALF and I often listen to it, and I enjoy the intro song too. Plus MOST of the cast and crew were long time Thudnerbirds fans, and there are tons of tips of the hat to the og series present (there's this adorable picture of 04scott getting to interact with the Penelope Puppet and he just looks THRILLED)

Like TaG, the 04 film was pretty solidly aimed at kids, BUT there oddly were more 'family focused' elements in it than were in TaG, with quite a few jokes and subtext that the kids watching missed but older viewers picked up on. Not as much as TOS though, sorta a midpoint between the two

yeah no one gets injured in TaG. No blood, and the one time someone was knocked out (Scott in the mine) we immediately have a character making fun of the sounds he makes as he comes too, which HEAVILY undercuts the injury and makes it seem like it's not a big deal.

Do you think Thunderbirds (TOS) was made for kids? Because the amount of smoking in that show LMFAOOO and there are some "adult" jokes in a few eps too like the Attack of the Alligators

To answer your question: Well... Kinda.

While Thunderbirds was officially released as a 'for children' program, it was written and designed 'for all ages' AND (to be utterly frank) 'for kids' shows of today are MUCH more... well... younger and 'softer' I guess is the way to put it. It's generally assumed kids can't handle a lot of things that used to be totally fine... in some ways that's good, in some ways that's bad.

The U rating, which is Kids shows in England, often showed things that by todays standards would be pg13 if not higher (no sexual stuff, but death, and violence, and so on). I mean look at Animals of Farthing Wood for a 'Childrens Show' (not even FAMILY) for examples of this. It's a great show, but it would NEVER be made today, because there are character deaths and on-screen violence and so on.

The adult jokes pretty much ALWAYS went over the heads of kids watching, and still usually does (not just for Tbirds but shows and films in general). It generally has to be really explicit before the average kid picks up on innuendo, or jokes about taxes, etc.

Plus, as I said, while it was rated U and thus 'for children' Thunderbirds was WRITTEN 'for the entire family / for everyone' and easily half of the audience were teens and up, and with the kids watching, the adults in the house were usually watching the show as well, and generally enjoying it. So the Andersons had that in mind as they wrote the first 3 Supermarionation shows (the final two, Scarlet and Secret Service, were aimed at teens to adults, and if I recall correctly lost the U rating).

There was action and adventure and rescues nd silly, easy to understand, jokes for the kids watching... and stuff for the teens and adults watching 'baked in' as well, like the romance and a subtext that older viewers could enjoy. Worked too, given how much of a phenomenon the Anderson shows generally were, Thunderbirds in particular was MASSIVE. (Plus, there were a lot of fans watching the show after / alongside the comics and novels, which were aimed at teen and up audiences, so they came in more... hm... primed to pick up the subtext if that makes sense)

As for the smoking... while cigarette ADS were banned in... it was either 64 or 67 I forget... Characters smoking was not banned from children's programs in the UK until recently. Heck it wasn't banned in the US until the 1970s (by Nixon in the mid 70s I think). Sort of like guns with that, where in the 1980s guns could only shoot lasers, you always had to see a parachute for the enemy aircraft you shot down, etc. While it's CURRENTLY a taboo and shocking thing to see... at the time it wasn't considered such. It wasn't even done for COOL FACTOR either, the characters are seen smoking because it was just... normal everyday stuff. Remember, while it's common knowledge NOW, the health issues of smoking weren't really KNOWN at the time this came out. That was more the late 60s through the 70s. Heck, the UK didn't ban smoking indoors until... 2008? And there are still many countries where it isn't banned at all.

but the TL;DR is... It was a children's program, TECHNICALLY. ^_^ But it both was aimed at and written for all ages and had elements that most kids wouldn't pick up on worked in for the older audiences and fans watching... and 'kids shows' have become more and more sanitized and 'kiddy' as time has passed on top of that.

PART 6

The day i got released form hospital finaly came. I was happy about it, taking a breath of fresh air will be a welcoming change after over three weeks in here. Some bruises wer still visable, and my head hurted from time to time, but other then that the doctor gave me a green light. And having too much free time makes your toughts wonder in wrong direction too much. Thinking about Jake was my daily routine, and i hoped once i get out other things will get me occupied. Jessy wanted me to stay with her, but i managed to persuade her that i'd be better of at the motel. She reluclantly agreed, but I argued that i would still be resting most of the time, and promised her we will see eachother every day, wich made her respect my decision a bit more. She called me that moring, telling Dan will come and drive me to the motel, because she was bussy planing a surprise for me. „Oh, Jessy, pleas dont go overboard, it is my first day out, i wont be up for much.“ I protested, but she quickly reasured me its nothing big. Knowing Jessy, i was sceptical about it, but she sounded so happy that i just agreed to whatever she had in plan. I was about done packing, when Doris came bringing me my dischrage papers. She gave them to me, embracing me in a tight hug „You be good now, hun. And remember what i told you before.“ She said, giving me one more of her winks. „Thank you, Doris.“ I replied, handig her a chocholate bombonier i asked Jessy to get me. „For everything.“ I hugged her once more. „No need to thank me, hun.“  „Ahh, Doris, im jelaous, i didnt get a hug from you when i was leaving the hospital.“ It was Dan, being dramatic again. I laughed, as Doris went for the door „Schmacks dont deserve hugs!“ she grinned at him, and left. „She likes me...she just wont admit it.“ Dan said, grining. „So,you ready to leave this shithole?“ „Definatly!“ i said, taking my discharge papers and putting them in my pack. Dan took it from me, and we left the room, taking the elevator down. Stepping outside was so refreshing, i stopped at the exit for a brief moment, wich made Dan turn „You allrigh there?“ „Im good, just appriciate being outside again.“ I smiled. We continued to the car. Dan opened the door for me, putted my stuff on the back seat, and we drove towards motel. I rolled the window down letting the cool morning air blow to my face and through my hair. The drive wouldnt last that long, and Dan informed me that Jessy booked the room for me already and took the rest of my stuff there, and my car also waiting for me at the motels parking. „Dan, whats Jessy planing for me today?“ i asked. „Oh, no,no, im keeping my mouth shut!“ he replied, but i groaned at him pleading „Please, Dan, at least give me a hint. I just got out of hospital, and to be honest, im not up for big fanfaras, but i dont want to dissapoint Jessy either. And lets be honest, its Jessy wer talking about here, nothing is small or meaningless with her.“ He laughed at that „Your right about that! Alright, ill tell you, but if she realize you knew something..“ „Dont worry, i can act being genuinely surprised with no problem.“ I asured him. „Well, its nothing much, rellay. We're taking you for dinner.“ he said. Ok, thats not so bad, i tought, i do have to eat. „And she invited the gang to Aurora this evening, to celebrate your release from hospital.“ Ugh, i hoped that wouldnt happen so soon, that i would at least have a day or so for me before seeing everyone. „Ah, crap, i guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.“ I said, adding „Later would be better, tho.“ „Dont worry, Maya, ill be there to rescue you, AGAIN.“ He grinned at me, and i grinned back „Good, because i just might need some rescuing, again.“

Dan left me at the motel, and i entered the small checkin office. The woman behind the counter was eldery, and she smiled at me „Good morning, miss, what can i do for you?“. „Morning'“ i replied, smiling back „I had a room booked for me by a friend, i guess you know her, Jessica Hawkins?“. I filled it, and she gave me the key.“You're at room 11, its on your right once you leave the office. And i'm Ms. Walter, fell free to ask if you need anything.“ „Thanks, i will.“ I replied, taking the key.

The room looked cozy enough. It had a big bed, with a little nightstand next to it with a lamp on it. There was a midium size table in front of a big window, wich i immidiatly felt greatefull for, since some natural light is what i prefere for my drawing work, and a closet next to it. Across from the bed was a  TV, and a little refrigeratore under it. The bathroom was small, wich is more then enough. I left my stuff on the bed, when i noticed a note on the nightstand. 'The car key is in the nightstand drawer. Get some rest, and see you later! Xoxo' It was from Jessy, and that made me smile. I took the key and went to the car to get the rest of my stuff. The day was nice and sunny, and i tought i souldnt spend the whole day in the motel. I went back to the room, unpacked, grabed some clean clothes and went for a shower. When i got dressed i sat at te table and turned my laptop on. I checked my mails, and some job offers. Its good when you're a freelancer, you can work from anywhere, and I actually felt some work might keep me occupied and not let my mind wonder to Jake.  The tought of him leaving my hospital room  two weeks ago still pained me, but i cant sit here and despair all the time, so i decided to grab my drawing stuff and head exploring. I hoped Jessy wouldt mind me going to town alone, she did promise me a grand tour of it once im out of the hospital. I took my phone and texted her „Hey hey, setteled at the motel. Going for a walk arround, but dont worry, im still looking forward for my tour arround Duskwood with you! xoxo“. She replied soon „Oh, nice, have fun! Just stay out of woods! xD See you for dinner J „. Great, now i could leave without feeling any guilt. I grabbed my backpack and left the motel.

I decidet to walk towards the marketplace, i had plenty of time since it wasnt even noon yet, and Jessy and Dan wont pick me up before 19. I passed a small bakery on my way there, and bought me some food and a bottle of water. The streets leading towards marketplace wer small and narrow, mostly with older buildings and pretty quiet. After some 30-40 minutes of slow walk,  i emerged to the marketplace, and it was comepletly different. The crowd thickened, and the place hummed with life. In the center was a nice funtain, with benches in circle arround it. Few wer occupied with people: one had an eldery couple, just sitting there on the sun and talking, on the other wer two mothers, drinking coffee while kids wer running arround, giggling and enjoying a nice day. I sat on one of the free benches, and took my drawing pad out. The warmth of the sun felt nice, and i began drawing. I can get quite zoomed out of my surroundings when drawing, so when i finaly noticed someone was standing in front of me, i jumped, and my penciles flew all over the floor. I started to stan up from the bench, at the same time that someone started to bend down to help pick them up,our heads coliding. That sent me sitting back on the banch, as both of us groaned from the impact. „Auch.“ I flinched, looking at the person stnding there. It was Jake. „Sorry, i didnt mean to sneak up on you.“ he said, still rubbing his forehead. „No, no, its fine, i was really focused, i didnt see you there.“ I barely managed to say, my voice shakey, clumsely picking my penciles from the floor.He was the last person i expected to run into. I really wasnt ready for this, the knot in my stomach starting to form, as i finaly collected all the penciles and sat back on the bench. I knew we wer gonna run at each other eventualy, but not so soon. He sat next to me, and i could notice by his body language he was a bit nervouse, too. „You look better.“ he said after a moment of silence, giving me a small smile, wich made my heart skip from joy. „Thanks, i feel much better,too.“ I replied, smiling back. He was looking at me so tenderly, and the heat from the sun made me so hot, i had a feeling my cheeks wer red as a lobster. He run his hand through his hair, and all i could think is how much i wanna do that. His look became more serious now, his eyes becoming darker, but that tenderness was still present. „Maya..“ he started „That day at the hospital.. I didnt..I'm sorry..“ but i interupted him. „No need to appologise, Jake, really.“ And he really didnt have to. I continued, before he could say anything else. „Look, its like this: you had every right to act like you did, and even tho it wasnt easy for me to hear you say those stuff, you wer right, in a way.“ He looked me a bit confused. „You wer probably right, I didnt think quite hard about every possible thing that could go wrong, and God knows i had more luck then im willing to admit. But thats just who i am: i act, i go with the flow, i make mistakes. And i appologise when I realize I was wrong, wich I would do to you if you just stayed for a while more. And i mean appologise for not telling you, or anyone about my plan, not for what i did at the end, hence me saying that you wer right in a way.“ I looked at him, he was still calm, not a trace of that anger i saw at the hospital anywhere on his face. That made me relax a bit. „Maya, just let me...“ he started again, but i interputed him once more „Please, Jake, just let me finish, then you can say whatever you wnat.“ He nodded in agreement. „ I know saying 'sorry' at that time seemed so pointless, but you have to know that i really am sorry, Jake, a thousand times sorry. Yet, i still stand by what i said, i would do it all over again, no matter the qonsequences.“ I paused for a moment, before i continued „I really hope you can forgive me. I got so used at having you in my life, and for it to end here and now...“ He looked at me, but i couldnt bring myself to look back at him. I just stared at my hands, not realizing this whole time i was clasping them so tightly. „I hope you wont shut me out of your life comepletly.“ We sat there in silence for what seemed like eternity. I got my courage and looked at him. He was staring in the distance now. „I felt helpless.“ he said, looking back at me now. „It got me...scared.“ he confessed, and i ached to just hug him. I could see this was being hard for him, saying it. „I've had that happen once before in my life, and it didnt end well.“ His eyes became so sad. „I'm not sure im ready to go through it again.“ That knot at my stomach tightened as he said it, but i took a deep breath „I understand. I'v let you down, i know. But i hope with time, you will be able to trust me again..let me be your friend, at least.“ Friend...that word felt so wrong to me. I didnt want to be just his 'friend', i wanted to be more, so much more. But, i guess at the moment i would be happy with anything. He stared at me for a moment, and before he said it, a smile formed at the corner of his lips „One step at the time.“ „Thats all im asking.“ I said, smiling shyly. He sat there in silence for a brief moment before slowely getting up. „You're good, by the way.“ He said, and i looked at him puzzeled, wich made him smile. He had such a sincere and wonderfull smile. „Your drawing, its good.“ He continued, pointing at my drawing pad. „Oh, that, thanks!“ i replied. „I better be good, i doubt i'll get paid otherwise .“ i grinned. He shook his head at me smiling, walking slowely away from the bench „See you arround, Maya.“ „See you, Jake.“ Watching him walk away this time didnt leave me in pain and agony. I felt hope again. Maybe Doris and Jessy weren't talking nonsence, afterall, I tought, not realising i was grinning like crazy.

After Jake left, i just sat there, letting my heart stop beating insanely. I was really happy for how our unexpected meeting went, i tought there really was some hope for us again. Oh man, Jessy will go crazy when i tell her all about it, she will so rub me her ' i told you so's' in the face! That got me laughing out loud, a few passerbys looking at me like i was crazy. And they wer right, i was crazy! Crazy for Jake. Everything about him drow me crazy: his gorgeous eyes, that ruffeled hair, and that beautifull smile. He shoud definatly smile more, i tought, his whole face smiles when he does it. The churchbell chimmed five , and i cursed under my breath. I better head back to the motel, i need another shower for sure. I quickly grabbed my stuff from the bench, deciding to grab coffee before headiding back. My toughts wer still running wild about Jake as i was walking back towards motel, i colided with a man. I almost dropped my coffe, quickly appologizing. „Be carefull there, miss, you never know who you might bump into.“  He said, a bit grim, like he was makeing a threath. I looked at him a bit astonished „Uhm, i will mister, thanks for your advice. And, sorry again!“ I slowly turned and continued my way. Strange guy i tought, but didnt pay any more toughts about it continuing back to the motel.

Not "autistic anon," but also autistic, (being called maybe ableist made me want to put this out there before go to bed) i thought Zane was depicted that way purposefully by the writers. He has stereotypical traits like taking things literally, and has an actual humor switch. The writers have done things with Zane before like have him lose bodily autonomy (during that one Wu's teas short) and did something with his voice be it making him unable to be understood or talking too loud and the forced pirate voice by Jay. (what you're doing isn't too different from that, right?) I thought it was just a little iffy to distort his body and memory bc that could be interpreted as something not that I'm sure what exactly, it's some kind of disability. I dunno. I'm not good with putting this to words. I hope this makes sense.

Im a little confused but I think I get what you're saying? You're saying the Ninjago writers absolutely DON'T write Zane well (you listed examples of this) and you don't want me to fall into the same trap?

I had the opposite logic earlier. I thought: If Ninjago writers made Zane have stereotypical autisitic traits while also being a dehumanized robot, I may as well embrace it, say he is autistic blatantly, while also making him do funny/cool non-human robot things, so its clear as possible the two aspects of his character are literal and separate and not a metaphor for each other. But you're right! I do have a choice and I dont have to embrace things! :)

Like there were a couple ways I was gonna reject the original, for example, I never wanted Zane to have a funny switch, and I hated how other characters could fuck with Zane and he didn't even care 😬. I want to change that stuff. So youre right, if I am changing shit like that, it would be counterproductive for ME to GIVE him MORE traits along that theme. 😬😬😬 I should try to feel less obligated to portray Zane like he originally is. I still like the concept of "scary zane" (for reasons i explain below the cut) but I might tone it down a bit like with the claws and weird proportions and shit. I’d def make him look more skeletal and undead. That was my original intention, but i didnt execute it as good as I could have.... idk if anyone could tell thats what he was supposed to be like...my bad! But rn I dont wanna redesign him I wanna draw other stuff like normal alive Zane. Sorry LMAO 😳. Like I said in some earlier asks I think, I think Im gonna focus rn on how I should portray season 1 normal not dead Zane so thank you and feel free to share any other Zane thoughts ^_^ SOME OTHER THOUGHTS:

Also I Wanna Argue Some Stuff But I Understand its a Weak Argument Since All of This Context was Just In My Brain (so don't take this as an argument, just as me rambling): I don't want messed up things to happen to Zane and for it to just be ignored. I think if Zane is going to have fucked up things happen to him, as all characters must, its best for it to happen during a season where he actually addresses his feelings about being a robot (learning to accept that he will always be himself, regardless if hes "human" or the "original" or whatever. (thats how I always interpreted his emotions)). But I wouldn't have the other Ninja be very phased by Zane's looks because the whole point is they already love who he is (seasons 1-3 were about getting to know Zane) and now Zane himself just has to learn the physical, robot part of him is okay. Its about person-hood rather than humanity. Because the season focuses around Zane's soul, and because he lost his original body, I feel like I could mess around with his current, temporary body and have fun and make it scary. Because that body should be irrelevant. I understand it possibly being upsetting for an autistic character to be designed like this, but other people I talked to see it the opposite way. They find it comforting for him to look so different but still be himself and be so loved. SO IM ABSOLUTELY NOT saying its wrong to be bothered or to hate it or to feel any way. Just that I personally think it would be cool for Zane to be portrayed with a little spice lol, so thats why I like scary Zane for season 4.

Another Thing I Wannna Say But Is REALLY Hypocritical: (this isnt directed at anyone I just REALLY want to say this) I know I say "this is Zane but scary, he looks like fnaf" so he's obviously dehumanized, but I always felt like "scary" is more of an objective fact. Its an instinct. But what's "not human" is subjective. I think there is a problem with saying anything different from "average" human is dehumanized because that could extend to real people. Lol I know its bad for me to compare FNAF-ass Zane to real people, but I mean he could be real. People can have exposed teeth, and people can be shaped weird. And when someone first sees a person who looks like that they'll probably think "woah those features are scary" by instinct. And that surprise doesn't make someone ableist obviously. But bring that person’s humanity into question is NOT an instinct, and is fucked to shit. This is kinda a bad point for me to make since its about the fictional FNAF Zane I drew, and I am NOT implying ANYONE was thinking like this. [especially not the original asker anon who I am totally forgetting about at this point OOPS]. But I just thought it was an opinion of mine I couldn't go without mentioning when talking about dehumanization and disabilities.

Also something about the memory part - yeah i agree i was surprised no one thought that was weird to make jokes out of his memory issues..... BUT I am like 100% firm on making his memory take longer to come back because I think its stupid how quick Zane was able to recover from literally dying. Like its just dumb to me. Hate it. (also bc memory & soul mechanics is ummm kinda important in my rewrite.... for reasons). Another memory thing btw, I was going to make his original amnesia come from hitting his head in an attack against the Skulkin when they stole his dads corpse, rather than his dad fucking choosing to make him forget. (its a sweet & iconic scene, but Um, WHY?!!!?!?!?!?) He has to follow data recovery instructions he finds in his dads diary. I think in that context it makes moments of memory loss somewhat different for Zane's character? Instead of loss of autonomy associated with disability, its a literal violent loss of autonomy associated with being traumatized by physical force. Idk how to phrase it exactly but I think that makes some vibes different?

First one:in science class, we had to write an essay and describe it and read it in front of the class and we’d get our points(obviously). I made it, waited for my turn and when it came, i was horribly anxious, so i kept messing up. And by messing up, i meant, i couldn’t get through the first sentence. I was trying to describe what I was talking and all that came out were “i-ugh...it’s-um...uhh” and the teacher said “it’s okay, you dont need to finish it.” And told the class to clap for me because i was trying to describe it. Of course, i didnt get some glares from others who wanted to have the same thing happen to them, but it’s kinda not worth it. Since i lose sleep thinking about how a whole class were watching me fuck up, and remembering that teacher, i feel like he was a god given gift to me that day.

Second one:in geography we had to put one of those transparent papers on a page and draw the map of the earth as homework. I tried and i sucked at it, it wasn’t that good, but it was very wobbly on the lines. When the teacher was collecting the homework, he told us to open the page we drew it on, and i opened mine, i had more anxiety again. Before he came to me, he told who didn’t draw it to stand up so he can deduct points from them, when he asked one of the guys that was standing why he didn’t do it, he said “i didn’t know how to” and the teacher looked at my page and showed it to the entire goddamn class which made me almost piss myself because it was shit, but the teacher said “this guy doesnt know how to draw, his drawing isnt good, but he tried, so im gonna give him full credit for it”. I thought he was joking because i legit believed i sucked at it, but he was serious. For The rest of the day, my ego was way to inflated for my being.

(I still lose sleep because of the first one. I hate that i messed so fucking bad, that the teacher had to let the class clap to me so i wouldnt cry🤦‍♂️)

okay, the first teacher really sounds like a hella good teacher! he probably saw how anxious you were but also how much you tried with your essay - sounds like a good teach 😌 I remember something a little similar happened to me too were I was memorizing this REALLY hard physics sentence for my presentation and it was right at the end of it too, so when i wanted to end my presentation with the last info, she just said “Okay, that’s enough, thank you!” and i was like... i literally said this sentence over and over and OVER again last night and now you don’t want me to say it out loud? ... man thanks for nothing lmfao
