There's so much to love about Black Clover, but one thing is does so, so right is the characters. The cast is absolutely MASSIVE- and yet, somehow, each and every single one of them feel memorable and important. I don't know how they managed to do this with such a crazy number of characters, but DAMN if it doesn't just bring the series alive. That being said, the leaves of my 🍀 ↓

The Four Leaves Of My Personal Clover 🍀

2023 is soon ending... and I'm a Black Clover fan since 2021. It feels like so long ago and at the same time, it is as if it was only yesterday since I discovered Black Clover.

Black Clover is definitely my absolute favourite manga and anime, even with all its flaws. I have so many good memories with it and it certainly won't stop, be it canon, fanfics, fanarts and other things.

And while I love so many characters in Black Clover, those four characters got a really special place in my heart...

Fuegoleon, Noelle, Nozel and Vanessa are all amazing characters in my eyes, for many different and some similar reasons. I can't exactly explain why out of all amazing characters, it was those four that became my top four or rather, the four leaves of my personal Clover, especially since they are different. But they are and at this point, I don't think this will change.

Okay, so because it's Pride Month, I'm sure there are going to be many people looking for TV shows and movies with good queer representation.

For that, I present Dead Boy Detectives. It's a dark fantasy Netflix TV show with pretty much everything you could ask for in a show. Super cunty villains, a goth butcher lesbian, an 80s punk, a badass psychic, an Edwardian twink from Hell, an astrology-loving crow, and so much more. This show was made for queer people by queer people, and the representation within the story is beautifully crafted.

Although the show has not yet been cancelled, it also has yet to have been renewed for a new season. Knowing Netflix, it takes a lot to keep a solid queer show running, and the only way to truly ensure that a show gets a new season is to keep watching it. Support queer media and queer stories! you best believe he has extra legs now! this makes him an anomaly in the industry and grew his popularity.

all of his outfits are like those dumb, tacky sexy halloween costumes. his most used persona is a sexy mafia boss.

he equates his self-worth to his sex appeal and all of his outfits are normal things made 'sexy'

he is more built than he is in the show because i felt like it

spider mandibles and abdomen! for fun! also extra eyes and cool spiderweb eyelashes

also kept his little BANG! gun from one of his earlier designs because i love it so much

also completely unrelated but i just now realized that both angel and molly have drug-related names and i just think that's genuinely so smart.

just realized that the transparency on his tail is weird so just pretend it's intentional texture shh!

didn't really change his design tbh. i kind of already like it! i just wanted to make him look more cartoon-villainy.

basically just a redraw in my own style

one thing i think he deserves though are silly little mad-scientist swirly glasses.

Cherri Bomb - Any pronouns, bigender, unlabeled

gave them a cyber goth look! i think that she definitely deserved to be more punky.

i wanted everything abt her to be super asymmetrical. i honestly love the different shoe concept that she has in her original design but bro deserves two shoes of the same height so she's not tripping over herself constantly.

the dreads(?) end in a fuse shape because i think that's SUCH a fun reference to her love for pyrotechnics. i tried to include as much explosion shapes as i could.

lots of piercings! stretched septum, stretched ears, snakebites, double nostril, you name it, she probably has it.

also gave her more freckles! she reminds me of freckled strawberry lemonade and idk why. also just thought lime green was such a pleasing accent color for her and i kind of dig it

she's still got her cool goggles and is a badass pyromaniac

Mimzy - She/her, cis woman, straight

my god i have so many qualms with mimzy's original design!!!! i need her to be more glamorous! more fun!

i decided to go a COMPLETELY different route with the colors this time. she is COOL colored now. spooky!

a lot of hazbin sinners are based on specific animals or insects, and i find it confusing that she has no cohesive theming. i decided to take some liberty and make her peacock themed!

i thought this really fit with her glamorous and extravagant nature.

i also wanted to make her hooked nose more prominent, and also give her the awesome feather boa she deserves

i was super scared abt changing the colors so drastically at first, but i absolutely love how she turned out. im also just a sucker for peacock theming though

Finweans ranked by Aura

Feanor - So powerful he sucked the life force out of his mother, invented a ton of cool shit, had more children with his wife than any of the other Eldar, died in battle while his body combusted into flames because he was just that hot, & the King of the Valar who he hated cried over him.

Earendil - Cool as hell, has a wife who's cool as hell. Predestined to be a hero even though he comes from a basic vanilla bloodline (besides his great grandpa Fingolfin). Even though most of his ancestors were nobodies or flops, most of his descendants that came after him were cool as hell.

Maedhros - Might have been higher than his father & cousin if he didn't khs, Lowkey an Aura loss moment but he makes up for a lot with his gorgeous red hair, height, surviving Morgoth's torture, & sorta fulfilling his dad's dumb oath.

Fingolfin - The only good thing his bland vanilla mother did was give birth to him. He was a total badass I've got to admit even as a Feanorian stan. Him crossing the helcaraxë & his death were top Aura moments.

Elrond/Elros - They're twins so they can share a spot too. Both badass as hell.

Fingon - Called "the Valient", braids gold into his hair, saved his sexy redheaded cousin, & became King of the Noldor. Everything about him screams Aura.

Galadriel - Despite the fact she's a Feanor anti (Booooo!!!), she admittedly has a ton of Aura. She's smarter than possibly everyone else here given she survived when the rest of her generation either got themselves killed or spends all their time being a sad beach cryptid.

Gil-Galad - Cool as hell, managed to make an alliance Maedhros could only dream of.

Maglor - Has a couple Aura loss moments but in the end he LIVED which is an Aura gain. Also gets Aura points for having the best voice in Arda.

Celebrimbor - Pretty rad dude, love how he's more like Feanor than his father Curufinwe Jr is, unfortunately he died.

Finrod - His death is cool as fuck. Looses points for cockblocking his little brother & dying for that basic joe Beren though.

Caranthir - Goth Icon. Love how despite his raging anger issues he's also an awesome guy you'd want to be friends with.

Finwe - A massive flop in a ton of ways but definitely still has Aura. Looses Aura points for failing Feanor & choosing to marry an unsexy Vanya when he could've waited for his sexy talented silver haired Noldo wife to come back to life. Only good thing about him besides his awesome hair is that he's Feanor & Fingolfin's father.

Aredhel - Cool as hell but has terrible taste in men. Her whole white aesthetic & her wild personality gain her Aura points though.

Turgon - The only cool thing about him is that he built Gondolin which wins him some Aura points. Looses Aura points for getting played by his nephew & dying pathetically though.

Idril - She's cool I guess, the only thing of note that she did was give birth to the chad Earendil. Tuor is such a basic guy though, he's not the worst but she could do better.

Aegnor - Cool hair. Pulled a baddie. Fumbled the baddie.

Angrod - Not the most stand out Finwean but he seems to be a mama's boy & he didn't do anything wrong so I'll put him above the family flops.

Finduilas - She's a sweetie but she looses Aura points for falling out of love with a great guy like Gwindor & falling in love with Turin the walking L.

Celegorm - Stupid as hell for trying to use a powerful half-Angel as a political weapon against her father. Looses more Aura points for getting abandoned by his dog & dying at the hands of said half-Angel's 30 y/o mortal son while he's over 1000 y/o. Gains some Aura points for being able to talk to animals, his hair, & his hot bastard energy.

Curufin - Feanor with 99% less Aura. His only achievement is having Celebrimbor yet he still couldn't even succeed at being Feanor 2.0 and having 7 kids to continue the family line. Had the chance to kill Eol but didn't which led to his favorite cousin dying (that's a huge L).

Finarfin - Takes after his mother in the sense he's vanilla af. The tiny percent of Aura he has is from his Noldo side obviously and he used that to pull a baddie like Earwen. All his kids get their Aura from their mother's side.

Orodreth - I like the guy, but he's definitely a dumbass with no Aura. He inherited a kingdom but isn't particularly good at anything. His only accomplishment is possibly fathering Gil-Galad.

Maeglin - Orodreth might have no Aura but this guy has negative Aura. His childhood sucked but he's such a walking L that's he's somehow more of a loser than both Celegorm & Eol combined.

Okay so first of all, I would just like to say that no matter who you are, I think Luke would like you for you. If you take the time to get to know him and actually care about him and remind him that he doesn't have to take care of everybody else all the time (his mother, Thalia, Annabeth, the entirety of cabin 11, camp, etc.), he would fall for you. And honestly I think Luke just Likes Girls™️. Not in a player kind of way, but in a "appreciates their beauty and sees them as individuals" kind of way.

Honestly I think Luke would go for sunshine girls. That doesn't necessarily mean Apollo girls, but just girls who are sweet and kind and give off pretty, sunny vibes. I think he's most drawn towards girls from:

Cabin 7 (Apollo)

Cabin 10 (Aphrodite)

Cabin 4 (Demeter)

Cabin 6 (Athena)

I also think he'd be drawn to absolute badasses, as long as they were good, nice people. He doesn't like bullies. I think he could definitely go for a daughter of Ares, Hades, etc.

But of course, it's not always about your cabin. There are badass goth girls from cabin 7, or sweet sunshine girls from cabin 13. It's more about you as a person. But I personally think Luke would just fall in love with someone who loves him for him, and takes care of him. Someone who is willing to stick by his side and support him, and love him unconditionally.

Is my answer heavily biased as a daughter of Apollo and a big fan of the Apollo girl x Hermes boy pairing? Yes. But I stand by it :P

I don't know if you take requests or not, but here goes nothing: What if there's a spike x reader where the reader is a slayer yet she's ofc like the opposite of Buffy(goth, rebel, lives in a trailer with her mother), and when Spike figures out there's another slayer in Sunnydale, he's in disbelief, and then he sees hee in like full goth getup and everything and assumes she's a vampire💀. But then she tells him that she's a slayer and he's taken aback and stuff(I'm thinking that it'll be funny).

"So, i'm assuming you're not a vampire?" Spike had welcomed himself into your trailer and was met with a wall of stakes and crucifixes that only made him slightly nervous.

"What? No." You slowly approach him, a stake behind your back and a look of both confusion and annoyance on your face; You really want him out of here. Your mother would be home from work soon after all. "Alright," Spike held his hands up in mock surrender, though it was clear this was kinda funny to him, "i'll get out of your hair in a bit. I just saw your badass get-up and thought you were a vampire. Not another bloody slayer." You lower your stake and look him up and down, then you look at yourself; You couldn't deny that he was kinda cute, even if he was possibly a horrible human-or undead-being. And you also couldn't deny that you did look kinda like a vampire.

"Uh, thanks I guess?" You were looking everywhere but at your target by now. You had no clue what you were supposed to do with him. At first you wanted him gone, but now you kinda wanted him to stay with you. "Are you gonna leave now?" You pushed your... feelings aside for now and tried to stay focused on getting this man, this blood-sucking, hot awful man, out of your home.

"Oh, so you don't want me here?" Spike's voice was slow as he walked even farther into your trailer despite you grabbing his arms in an attempt to stop him. He knew what he was doing. He knew you kinda liked him. "Fine, I guess i'll leave and never come back. I'll just be lonely for the rest of my poor, undead life." He dramatically threw himself onto the couch, kicking his feet up onto the coffee table with no regard for your things.

"Get your nasty shoes off my fucking table. NOW!" You drive your stake as hard as you could into the wood, making a small dent you knew your mother wouldn't be pleased with. Spike just stared up at you, shock and amusement mingling in his eyes. "Well well, looks like someone's got a bad bloody temper, huh?" Spike stood up and placed his hand on your cheek, a smug grin on his stupid face. "That's alright luv. I like a good temper."

You turn to look out the window and see your mother pulling up, completely unaware of what was unfolding in her house, and you knew you had to act quickly. "Can you turn into a bat or something?" You ask, the small amount of patience you had dwindling quickly. "No." Spike answers quickly, too quickly, but you don't have time to question him and instead grab his hand and drag him down the short hallway.

"Well, if you can't fly out of here or whatever, you're gonna have to stay in my room until you can sneak out once my mom's asleep." You continue power walking until you reach your bedroom door and open it, being greeted by the sea of posters and CDs on your wall.

"Maybe i'll shove you into the back of my closet and forget about you until I eventually move out of this shithole and I have to dig deep into my closet to get my things and i'll find you back there. That sounds exciting, huh?" You weren't looking at Spike so you didn't notice the large, shit-eating grin he had on his face.

Katsuki always protected you, holding your hand when you walked together, bullying your bullies, sharing his food, and listening to you whenever you were too shy to speak to anyone else.

He hates physical touch. But that changes when he's with you. Baby Kacchan was always clingy, following you around like a lost puppy and then holding your hand to make sure you don't wander off somewhere.

He thought you both were going to be together forever. He already had it all planned in his head. He was going to marry you, be the best number one hero, get his All Might card signed, and maybe stay friends with the quirkless nerd he calls his friend. Maybe.

It broke him. It broke him entirely when you came crying to him that you had to move back to your home country. When you hugged him, he didn't let go. He refused to let you go. You didn't want him to let you go.

Both of your mothers were deeply saddened. They have been best friends. Your mother could see the way Katsuki cared about you. She never wanted to ruin that. And it hurt her heart when Mitsuki had to pry the blonde off of you at the airport. He threw a fit. Desperately holding your hands and trying to cage you to him, you cried, not wanting to leave him and your friend Izuku.

He was quiet for a month after you left. He didn't yell, didn't try to show off his quirk, and he even didn't even try to start a fight with anyone. You both have known each other since you were newborns. You were both 8 when you left.

He promised never to forget you. And he demanded that you never forget him. When you arrived in your home country, he called you every day. He wrote to you letters, and even sent you small gifts with them from time to time. But one day, you stopped answering. hi!!! i absolutely adore reassassination and im not sure if this has been asked yet or not but how did you come up with the plot/general idea of reassassination?

ah the inspiration for RAA came from a lot of things! some media and some personal experiences.

the style of RAA is heavily inspired by late 90s to mid 2000s cartoons and subcultures like goth, industrial/rivethead culture, scene, and spooky kids/nu metal/mall-goths. originally each character was to reflect a certain subculture and this still exists loosely within the series (eg. valentine/angel is based off of gyaruo, and onion is intended to be slightly reminiscent of emo). and of course, horror films, especially campy ones. stuff like rocky horror, saw, ginger snaps, and the machine girl!

i came up with the plot by chance. before finalising the premise of "zombie girl comes back from the dead to get revenge on her killer", i rewatched all of panty and stocking, and really loved the idea of a badass killer girl and her strange mysterious mentor. it's my fav trope, esp in stylish movies like sucker punch. before that, i had a very loose premise of octavia and kranken running a fucked up clinic together in episodic fashion - think like "clinic of horrors" by merryweathery.

anyway we eventually got to the premise of "zombie girl attends school killing people in secret to advance her mentor's plans". i needed to flesh things out a bit, so added some villains (then a school council rather than a full org), and gave octavia a simple, edgy little motive - kill her killer. i thought it was funny and fitted the "edgy on purpose" vibe i've always wanted RAA to have. the plan for the format changed from mostly vulgar, episodic comedy to slightly more serious serialised horror dramady, but the edgy, silly premise remained.

if you wouldn't mind me talking about it in particular, parts of the clear crucifix org are inspired by televangelism and the churches my mother would take me to when i was younger for the most part. televangelists are self-righteous, holier-than-thou scumbags who pressure the vulnerable into giving them money and relying on them out of the promise of salvation. the fact that they take christianity and warp/ignore/change the rules around to fit their plans inspired the philosophy of the CCO - it's exaggerated in that they blatantly go against their own religion by basing their org off of killing those they see as unrighteous or wrong. i went to lots of different churches when i was younger - some more protestant and some more pentecostal, though CCO ended up being based on catholicism because i know a lot about it (got a 8, the UK equivalent to an A, in religious studies lol). to me the protestant churches seemed a lot lighthearted but still had that underlying sense of judgement and shame, and the pentecostal churches were pretty explicitly "if you don't believe/if you are gay, trans, or anything against the norm you will go to hell". those pentecostal churches were also more violent and scary to me as a kid (exorcisms and religious ecstasy creep me out to this day) which inspired the more intense, horrific torture-esque parts of the CCO that will be in the comic!

Their friend set up a "three people, but only 2 beds for them, and then they each, Individually decided they were more comfortable on the floor so as not to share a bed. So they did. Next to eachother. On the floor. Next to an Empty bed."

(Note that this drawing was made when I just returned to HS and haven't yet seen some of the amazing variations of their designs here on Tumblr, so my design for Dave will probably be changed, idk)

She lived with her Big Sister, they were Strider's neighbors from a floor down

They lived in hard financial conditions, her Sister overworked herself to provide for them both and was almost never home to look after Cindy, which forced Cindy to fend for herself most of the time when she was little

She met Dave on the roof once, the meeting involved spying on his Bro and her Sister talking about some secret Older Sibling Stuff or something. It looked like her Sister was crying? Overall a pretty awkward first meeting

Cindy felt guilty often about their situation for some reason, so she helped with whatever she could in the house

But her relationship with her Sister was.. not ideal, it was very strained and painful for both of them, Cindy felt hurt from her Sister not being around much, even if she understood why that was

Even so, she still felt cared for and appreciated her Sister and her sacrifices

Cindy was bullied in school, I know, shocker, she was considered weird, dirty, ugly, scary, and was avoided most of the time. Some kids called her "Dead-Eyed Cindy", because of how her eyes resemble the ones of a dead fish, but she reclaimed that nickname for herself, because she thinks it makes her sound badass. She didn't know what friendship was supposed to be like, and convinced herself she was better off without anyone, but she desperately wanted to have real friends she could trust one day

She was very stiff emotionally when she first started chatting with Dave, but with time became more sincere and open thanks to also getting to know Rose, Jade, and John

She and Dave are both weird dead thing collectors, but Cindy prefers to collect animal bones and skulls. Their music preferences don't match like. In any form, but Cynthia greatly enjoys Dave's mixes and tunes, and always encouraged him to do more

She adores gothic rock, punk rock, heavy metal, screamo and any other "edgy" music genre you can think of

Of course she didn't have money to go to concerts and buy merch of her favorite bands, so all the posters in her room were home printed

She's all about that messy grungy look. Her hair? Intentually cut like that by herself. Smeared makeup? Her favorite style. Her clothes? Ripped and modified by herself. She wanted to ward off normies away from her this way, not caring about what other people think of her, and also just because she likes the style

She didn't like Rose's overly posh way of wording things at first(so pretentious), but they quickly clicked over shared interests in goth culture and the paranormal unknown, Cindy cares about her greatly and comforted her through the hardships Rose had to endure

Cindy didn't know what to think of Jade's strangeness and, quite frankly, didn't like her vibes at first, but warmed up to her greatly with time and really sympathized with her, Cindy really believes Jade deserves so much better, and is determined to let her know they care

John was very intimidated by Cindy at first, and Cindy assumed he just didn't like her, so she acted more coldly towards him, and it continued to be like that for a pretty awkwardly long time, but of course his dorkiness hooked her up quick, as it did his other friends, and they slowly but surely became very close; Cynthia became very protective of Egbert fast

Cindy always tries to put in work into her friendships, as she naturally doesn't want to be alone again, but also because she doesn't want her friends to feel left out or ignored, cause she knows what it's like

Which also seems like overcompensation, as she feels like she's not the best person to be around, so she tries to be helpful, even when she no longer has any mental resources for that

She had no clue about what kind of game Sburb even was, and she definitely didn't have time to ask when meteors suddenly started raining from the sky

No fucking way was she going to die if she could help it, so she fought for her and her friends' lives with all she had

How was she able to godtier and whatnot without entering the game? Beats me, you're asking as if I should know and write some good explanation for it and make it make sense🙄🙄💅 I just wanna play touoys, hope you understand💓

Cindy started questioning her identity along the way of their adventures on the meteor, and started using she/they/him pronouns

If I had to write about her relationships with all of the trolls we'd be here all day, so let me just point out the most relevant things here <3

Gamzee had a pitch crush on her, and they entertained the idea for a while, but she quickly recoiled from that when Gamzee, uh, started doing Stuff. She actively maintains friendships with Aradia, Kanaya, and Tavros, and is on good terms with Terezi, Sollux, and Nepeta. It's a bit more complicated with the others, though.. Their relationship with Karkat was very murky and tense at first, she wasn't having his bullshit, but he grew on them with time, when Cindy realized they both have similar goals and wants. She can't tolerate Eridan's bullshit and mostly avoids him, doesn't like Equius for his attitude and hates him for what he did to Aradia, Feferi.. well, they just can't find a common ground, especially because Feferi's royalty, and Cindy holds no respect for them. And Vriska.. he justifiably doesn't like her, at all, but is somewhat sympathetic of her issues.

She is a Page of Blood, and their journey of self-realization had to teach him that she can't win and please them all, that they can be their true self around her friends, and that he can also depend on others for help when she needs it

She learned to make chains from blood, his or otherwise, and use them in battle, and at their highest potential she can bind someone's body to another's and adjust what it means according to situation.

You're badly injured and there's no one else to help in sight? She can bind your body to hers and share their life essence with you, practically making it so you both share an internal system, and if she's healthy enough, then you'll be too in a second

He can drain someone's blood and give it to another if they need it, she can solidify blood inside someone's veins to make it hard to move

She can make a dying person's heart beat via a blood bind, but it's very draining for her and can be quite deadly if done hastily and improperly, and he can't do it when a body already went cold, at least they didn't learn how to, maybe with enough conviction and training she could one day🤔

Maybe with time she found even more uses and possibilities for her chains

She's a great motivator, especially if it's his friends that need morale, they always have their friends' backs

She's not a fan of being a leader, but can be if the situation calls for it

Overall, Cynthia is a person with an intimidating exterior, and warm and genuine interior!🥹

Mi Amour, Mi Vampira is just a song Phantom would constantly have on repeat sorry guys.

Cascade is one of my favorite Siouxie and the Banshees songs. It is a sad song. Rain strikes me as a sad song person. The lyrics are also kind of off putting: “My chest was full of eels/Pushing through my usual skin.” i feel that Rain’s whole vibe just screams this song.

Floorshow is a fun song, with very interesting vocals. the song mostly describes a group of people dressed in black with makeup who are dancing. Swiss is known for his shimmy so… Floorshow. Coincidentally, also one of my favorite Sisters of Mercy songs.

Cassandra is a song about a religious girl, but it is the darker side of religion. it is a song about religious trauma. I mostly just see Aurora vibing with the song, not necessarily relating to it. *this song does describe abuse at least the way i see it

The Hanging Garden is one of my favorite The Cure songs. the lyrics describe monsters in the garden. The song itself seems to be describing a nightmare. overall, fun song.

Dew’s is kind of obvious, 92 Degrees starts off with a monologue saying most murders are committed at 92 Degrees (really bad summary). The song describes sort of heat stroke, and maybe a mirage sort of thing. it’s a good song. I was also debating choosing Souvenirs of Surgery by Specimen for him, i think it’s again obvious why. however, i think the song isn’t particularly right, but still a good song :)

Cumulus’ is a song with very beautiful vocals, and she has very beautiful vocals. also, it’s just a very fun and dynamic song in my opinion.

I’m the Woman that Killed Jack The Ripper is a really good song where the person described by the singer is a vampire who kills Jack The Ripper. Cirrus is a badass and she would totally love this song as well as every Scary Bitches songs. you might know their most popular song Lesbian Vampyres from Outer Space.

Aether's is a goofy song because Aether is goofy. Scopes just names a bunch of words that include scope, including: telescope and microscope. i think he would generally enjoy Bauhaus cause their music is so fun but also unique.

Well, what if that's applicable to other TSC characters as well? Specifically the ones coming up in TWP?

Because, for starters, Ty has gray eyes: as in Gray for knowledge best untold. And we all know how smart Ty is, and how much he wants to learn. He's a freaking Centurion for the Scholomance by the time TWP rolls around!

Secondly, Kit has blue eyes, as in, Blue banners when the lost return. Because Kit is a loss to the Blackthorns, especially to Ty. And because in TWP, Kit comes back, the lost returns. And he has blue eyes? Coincidence, I think not.

Now Dru is a bit complicated, because her eyes are blue-green, so she can mend broken hearts, and she is someone who is lost herself. But it makes sense if we think about her and Ash together. Ash has green eyes; Green will mend our broken hearts, and as we all know, Dru suffers from trauma that she talks about with no one. She's going to basically be the one hot badass goth girl with closeted PTSD trope girl, and Ash is going to put her back together. It can also be seen as a nod to Dru ending up with Ash, and her eyes, being a mix of blue and green, could represent an initial confusion over her affections, what with the JaimexDruxAsh love triangle we all know is coming.
