summary: the rookies notice that their partner is missing from an important race and immediately thinks the worst
warnings: this took me DAYS to do 💀 some might be longer than others but keep in mind that i do like all the rookies and some were just easier to write for — ooc? since i don't know them that well, some might have similar situations but i tried to not have them as the same scenario — missing or misspelled words maybe? i might have missed it cause this is quite long — drivers wanting to die / thinking their s/o died ( jokingly ) — death jokes in general — just the rookies being dramatic and thinking the worse
pairing(s): gn! reader x jack doohan, gn! reader x isack hadjar, gn! reader x ollie bearman, gn! reader x kimi antonelli, gn! reader x gabriel bortoleto ( all written separately )
genre: fluff, dramtic drivers, established relationships
author note: lawson and alonso are not included

jack doohan - australian grand prix
the first race of the season would be in jack’s home country. he felt excited, but also very nervous. jack wanted to prove that he deserves to be a main driver and that he can pull in results. sure, it’s only the first race, but if he doesn’t prove that he deserved that seat, he’ll be dropped quick.
jack bit his nails as he stood in the garage. he made it into the second round of qualifying, but was easily knocked down the longer it went.
was he upset? yes, but y/n made him see that it wasn't his fault.
now, however, jack hasn't seen y/n since that morning.
he's aware that they're most likely with pierre's girlfriend, kika, but they haven't answered any of his texts either. pierre wasn't worried, use to kika not coming until a few minutes before he had get in the car or she just came and go.
jack wasn't use to it though. y/n normally popped in to see him or at least texted him back.
did their phone die? break? is franco trying to steal them before stealing his seat? ARE THEY BEING THREATENED BY ESHAY'S?
"jack"
nevermind.
“y/n!” jack shouted in relief as they walked towards him
“sorry” they quickly kissed his cheek as kika walked away to do the same with pierre
“kika’s heel broke so we had to go get her a new pair of shoes and my phone went flat”
jack breathed out a sigh of relief before engulfing their partner in a hug.
"i thought i was going to die" y/n rolled their eyes
"i've always made it on time”
“yeah, well, i thought franco was trying something or that you were being threatened by an eshay” y/n nodded while trying not to laugh at the thought of jack thinking an eshay was trying to have a go at them
“i’ll make sure to remember to bring my portable” jack pouted at their words
“no. you’re not allowed to leave me at all on race days”
“what if i need to go toilet?"
"i'll stand outside"
"you can not be serious..."
jack placed his hands on their shoulders and stared right into their eyes.
"dead serious" y/n scoffed and started swatting him away.
"get in the car!"
"you haven't given me a good luck kiss yet!"
"you aren't getting one!"
"oh so you want me to crash?"
"jack!"

isack hadjar - japanese grand prix
the sound of someone texting him made isack momentarily snap out of his trance and look down. a smile creeped onto his face as the familiar contact name of his partner sat at the top, but it slowly washed off his face as he read through their messages.
loml <3: baby im here!
loml <3: there’s lots of people
loml <3: they have ( favourite food )!
loml <3: hey so…
loml <3: i think im lost.
they hadn't been at the previous races due to conflicts with their own personal schedule, but had reassured him that they would be able to make it for this race and would be by his side for bahrain as well. isack had cheered when they revealed the news after friday's practice sessions ended.
y/n had landed a few hours ago, but isack was already making his way to the track when they did ( he had been dragged and strapped into the car by his manager because isack tried to run off to the airport ).
“isack?” his trainer knocked on the door and called out to him before opening it
“you good, mate?” isack only stared at his phone, his race suit still hanging around his waist
isack took a deep breath in and spun around.
his trainer blinked as he brushed past him, determination obvious. however, isack was walking away from the garage.
"wha — isack?! that's the wrong way!"
"no it isn't!"
the trainer quickly caught up to him and grabbed hold of isack's shoulder. the driver turned around, his determination had slipped and fear seemed to have consumed isack.
“what’s wrong?”
“my partner got lost"
"oh, well..." his trainer had no clue on how to comfort the driver who was trying to pull himself away
"at least they're here?" isack whipped around so fast that it startled his trainer
"that doesn't matter! they aren't with me! i can't race knowing they're not here waiting for me! what if they fell into a ditch and died or something!?"
he watched as his trainer opened his mouth to reply, but it fell on deaf ears as isack caught sight of y/n. he sprinted towards the garage, leaving his baffled trainer.
"y/n!" they didn't even have a chance to turn around before they felt isack crashing into their back, his arms tightly secured around them.
"i thought you fell into a ditch and died or something" y/n turned their head to stare at isack with an offended expression
"why was that your first thought?" isack didn't answer and continued to squeeze them tightly
( his trainer literally had to pull and carry him away from y/n so that he would get in the car )

ollie bearman - british grand prix
despite their relationship still being relatively new, ollie found himself having "withdrawals" as kimi called it. he felt weird and itchy when y/n wasn’t by his side, but when they were ollie would just aimlessly follow them around. fans thought it was cute and started comparing him to a dog more than a bear.
however, ollie received devasting news on the day of the british grand prix.
they would be late.
ollie thought then and there that he should just die.
the young driver arrived at the paddock with sadness beneath his fake smile. he raced towards the garage, only gave short answers to those who questioned him about something or rushing through with signing something, barely having time for pictures. ollie didn't meant to come off as rude, but he really just wanted to curl up in his drivers room and wait for them, but he couldn't.
esteban who was hit with a sense of boredom wondered why he couldn't hear his teammate's usual chatter and when he peeked around the corner, all he saw is a pouting ollie.
"ollie? what's wrong?"
he mumbled an answer, but due to all the noise, esteban didn't hear a thing.
"what?" ollie huffed as he leaned closer to hear
"my partner isn't here"
he crossed his arms with an irritated expression while esteban glanced over at ollie's team who were all collectively ignoring the upset driver.
"they told me they were going to be late, but i didn't think it would be this late! what if they got into a car accident?!" he only had a few more minutes to spare before they would start forcing him into the car
esteban only nodded along as ollie continued to think the worse — he's certain he heard something about an alien abduction. the younger driver didn't even notice that his teammate had left halfway through until he spun around to see a tired looking y/n just walking in.
if ollie was a dog, his ears would’ve perked up and tail would be wagging.
“y/n!” he cheered before jumping them
thankfully, ollie had enough strength as to not let them fall over.
“ollie, you’re heavy, i can't breathe”
"you wouldn't be talking if you couldn't breathe" they groaned lightly as he pressed their bodies together
“why are you so late?”
“traffic”
“you should’ve ran” y/n scoffed
“yeah, don’t think so” ollie lifted his head from their ( neck / shoulder / chest — depends on height )
“do you… not love me enough?” his eyes widened at the thought while y/n stared silently at him, but that just made ollie grow even more nervous
“why aren’t you saying anything? do not love me anymore?!”
“ollie. get in the damn car”
“and now you’re trying to get rid of me?! y/n, i will cry”
“i don’t think your team will let me near you if you do”
“i’ll kill myself”
“ollie!”

kimi antonelli - italian grand prix
kimi dislikes the word “possessive”. he isn’t possessive, he just doesn’t trust anyone around partner so they should stay by his side until he’s in the car and then stay beside someone he trusts while he races. that person was george’s girlfriend — carmen, but kimi’s hasn’t been liking her recently since she always stole them away.
y/n is HIS partner. how dare she keep them away from him.
carmen would pop up out of nowhere and take y/n away while george held him back from chasing them down. his partner would be returned before he had to get in the car, but that didn't matter to kimi, y/n should be with him the entire time unless they aren't allowed ( like meetings, but he was able to convince toto to let them in ).
kimi impatiently tapped his foot while george hummed to himself. he didn't speak, but kimi knew the older man was amused by the situation. would it be bad if he took george out right now? toto does favour him and valtteri is here, so it should be fine, right?
an evil glint sparkled in kimi's eyes that george was unaware of since his back was now turned.
"it's his fault for letting his girlfriend take away my partner" kimi nodded to himself as he glared at the taller man
however, he never got to initiate his plan.
"kimi"
"my purpose in life has been restored"
he sprinted towards his partner and snatched them away from carmen ( yes, kimi did glare at her, but she only laughed before going to george ).
“i hate when she does that” he scoffed before wrapping them in a tight squeeze
y/n wondered if their boyfriend was a snake in his past life by the way he hugged them.
“we just lost track of time” they managed to say, but kimi wasn’t having any of it
“you were almost late. i’m going to tie us together whenever she comes”
“you still have ten minutes”
“it would’ve been a hour, but noooo” y/n laughed and kimi finally loosened his hold on them
“sorry, sorry, i know important this race is to you” they threaded their fingers through his hair before pressing a quick kiss to kimi’s cheek
“is that all?”
“you got to put the rest of your stuff on”
“i’ll put it on when you kiss me properly”
“everyone’s looking…”
“y/n. i will not get into that car unless you kiss me”
they felt toto turn towards them and they cursed kimi quietly before pressing their lips to his.
kimi smiled happily and skipped off to put on the rest of his race gear.

gabriel bortoleto - brazilian grand prix
this particular race weekend had been a huge deal for gabi and y/n is well aware of it. the driver felt bad about not being able to spend much time with their partner, but y/n understood and was able to keep themselves entertained without gabi.
“where are they?” he tapped his foot impatiently while staring at the empty hallway
practice and qualifying has gone well, the crowd went absolutely wild when he managed to push the car to p6, but then a few other drivers managed to get better times and that knocked him down to p10. gabi wasn’t upset about that though, what he is upset about is how his partner has seemingly disappeared the moment they arrived at the track.
sure, gabi does blame himself since he was instantly swept up with journalists and fans that seemed to increase every time someone left. y/n had given him a quick kiss before making their way to the sauber hospitality. gabi didn’t get to check in on them, at least physically, since he had a meeting and other duties to attend to before changing into his race suit. gabi didn’t think anything of it; they might have gone to get food or needed the bathroom.
but, this long? something must have happened.
he didn’t want to think the worst, but he couldn’t help it.
“how likely do you think someone here would be a kidnapper?” nico slowly turned towards gabi who stared at the wall, no thoughts seemingly behind the younger driver’s eyes
“what?” gabi blinked
“nothing” he tried to brush it off, but nico wasn’t having it
gabi sighed and started explain.
“maybe they ate something bad? or lost track of time?”
yeah, that seemed more reasonable than them being lured away and stuffed into a random van.
gabi thanked nico before wondering off back to his side of the garage.
"it's fine. maybe they did eat something bad or didn't realise how close the start time is — it's happened before..." he sighed and crossed his arms before closing his eyes
gabi drowned out the noise and envisioned himself on the track. it calmed his mind, but only slightly.
he didn't know much time had passed since he entered his own head, but gabi instantly recongised y/n the moment they were close enough. they always wear a certain ( perfume / cologne / spray, etc ) that gabi is all too familiar with, it helped that y/n is the only person he knows to wear it.
their arms wrapped around his ( waist / mid-section / shoulders ) and gabi opened his eyes and turned around.
"where were you?"
"i think i ate something weird"
a sigh slipped past his lips while his shoulders sunk in relief.
"at least weren't lured to a van and almost kidnapped"
"what?" gabi shook his head
"don't worry about it"
he pressed a soft kiss to their ( neck / cheek / forehead ) before walking away to grab his helmet. y/n stared at their boyfriend's back, confusion washing over them as they replied his words in their head.
"by the way..." with his helmet now in his hands, gabi walked back over to stand in front of them
"i'm going to handcuff us together if you leave like that again"
"gabi —" he cut them off with a kiss on the lips before quickly making his way to his car while putting on his helmet
y/n only sighed and rubbed their forehead.

having thoughts about the marinette and nathalie hug because like.
my god.
marinette's just had her world turned inside out
she's just a kid and how's she supposed to carry all this alone and what is she supposed to do and what does she tell adrien?
and then, suddenly, there's someone there to share the burden. an adult. someone who has a reputation for getting things done
so maybe, just this once, everything doesn't have to balance on marinette's shoulders alone
but it's nathalie--who, sure, adrien obviously cares about. but not someone marinette's at all close to. certainly not someone she probably thinks of as warm or parental or even very trustworthy. maybe marinette's even started to put the pieces together--if gabriel was monarch, then mayura must have been...??
those doubts seem insignificant when she actually sees nathalie
the last time marinette saw her, she was dying. and now marinette knows what gabriel wished for--at least some of it. she knows he did one good thing in the end. that he finally, to some degree, put adrien first
then another horrible truth dawns on marinette: nathalie doesn't know--of course she was aware gabriel was dying, but she still doesn't know he's dead
marinette's probably already thought up a hundred different ways she might break the news to adrien--even if she discarded them all just as quickly. she hasn't thought at all about breaking the news to nathalie
what's she supposed to say? however complicated things were in the end, gabriel was obviously someone nathalie cared about
marinette struggles to find the words, but nathalie just knows. she already suspected, because how would she be here if gabriel was as well? and now the truth's written all over marinette's face
it's not just marinette who needs that hug--though nathalie would probably never admit it, which is why it's marinette who's running to her
how many weeks has adrien been gushing to nathalie about marinette? about how she's so creative and strong and compassionate and full of love
and in that moment, nathalie understands
#there are other aspects of this i didn't quite get to fit into this post#like how nathalie and marinette have both been fighting so hard to protect adrien from gabriel lately#but they've been fighting ALONE#and now they're together in this moment where... technically they kind of won the fight#but it FEELS like they've lost#also i guess idk technically if this is RIGHT after the wish was cast but that's how i'm interpreting it#anyways when i started this post i didn't expect it to get so long asjfbkdsjbfk#even though that doesn't make much sense because marinette is detransformed but later she's bug noire again when she talks to adrien...#also hahaha don't look at me i get so anxious posting analysis posts...#ml london special#london spoilers#miraculous ladybug#marinette dupain cheng#nathalie sancoeur

MC: I hope your daughter will enjoy these flowers.
The customer: She surely will.
MC: Have a great day. Please come again soon.
*The customer left.*
*The door opens.*
Gabriel: So this is the kind of place you're staying in.
MC: Oh dear. I should've hired a security. *in a calm tone*
Gabriel: *slowly approaches them* I've been looking for you everywhere.
Gabriel: It seems that you have finally let your guard down.
MC: Did I? *chuckles*
Gabriel: Come with me.
MC: I refuse.
Gabriel: You worship god. You're one of us.
MC: I'm no angel.
Gabriel: But you have devoted yourself to him. Hoping that you'll be an angel in heaven. Is it not?
MC: Not until you've shown me your true nature. I would rather be a devil... if fate allows me.
Gabriel: *swings his scythe towards them*
MC: ...
Gabriel: ...
MC: I must remind you- *smiles*-that you have used your chances on me.
MC: However, you could try asking Raphael to kill me instead.
MC: He hasn't used his weapon on me yet.
Gabriel: *clicks his tongue* I will come back. Stay where you are. *disappears*
MC: ...
Foras: *appears behind them* Are you alright?
MC: Why are you here, Foras?
Foras: His Majesty Leviathan felt you were in danger.
MC: I'm fine. As you can see, he had already left.
Foras: MC, I hope you can join us soon.
MC: Don't worry. I will after I fulfill my agreement with Leviathan.
Mammon: What did you say? Gabriel attacked MC?
Bimet: Yes.
Mammon: *immediately stood up*
Bimet: However, your human was left unscathed.
Mammon: ...
Mammon: What do you mean?
Bimet: It seems they can't be attacked by an angel.
Bimet: And if I may add, this Gabriel even asked them to come with him.
Bimet: Your Majesty, is your human, perhaps, his acquaintance?
Mammon: Don't be ridiculous.
Bimet: But still-
Mammon: I will visit them myself. I must know if they're hurt.
Bimet: ...
Mammon: MC, how are you?
MC: *is in the middle of writing in their journal* I'm doing fine.
MC: Why are you here?
Mammon: I've heard you were attacked by Gabriel.
MC: Yes. But you needn't to worry. Nothing happened.
Mammon: ...
Mammon: That is good to hear.
MC: *smiles*
MC: Why don't you sit here with me for a moment?
Mammon: ...
Mammon: That's the first.
MC: *chuckles* You made it sound like I was an awful friend.
Mammon: You're not. However, you like keeping secrets.
MC: It's called confidentiality.
Mammon: ...
Mammon: Human terms such as that should not exist.
MC: *chuckles*
Barbatos: Your Majesty-
Leviathan: I know, Barbatos. You don't have to tell me. *looking at the roses*
Leviathan: If they do manage to fulfill their promise, they will have a place here in Hades.

I almost feel bad for the Marinette stans that are still fighting tooth and nail to claim that Marinette would never use Adrien's amoks
Like.. guys, what show are you watching? If Marinette knows an option exists, she will eventually justify maxing it out to her advantage. Sure, she wont do it willy-nilly for no reason, but I can easily see it happening that if Adrien were to now want to go back to working in his father's business because he's Gabriel's heir so he can take it over when he's of age to not lose the business his saint of a father built for them
Yeah, Marinette would justify using the amoks against him to change Adrien's mind to wanting to take over her parents' bakery for example because him going back is "wrong" and she knows what's "right". Adrien has no reason anymore to not wanting to go back to working in the Gabriel business. He thinks he owes his dead family to keep their legacy going. Adrien is all that's left of the Agreste's, s5 brought this up several times.
Marinette saying at the end of season 5 that Adrien "doesn't need to be as great as his hero father. She loves him anyway <3 (isn't she such a saint too? ^^)" is nice and well, but she also says that its HIM who decides what his future will be and that is laughably unlikely for Marinette to actually respect. If Adrien makes a big decision she doesn't agree with, she wont respect it. When has she ever?
Adrien has no reason to not decide to be his father's heir again and no way in hell will Marinette give anything resembling to a valid reason against it. She can't, it would require the truth and communication skills she refuses to work on.
I can even see it happening that Marinette will break up with him over this while going "I cant bare watching you do this 😔" hoping that itll make Adrien give in, and if he dares to choose his dead family over her she'll use his amoks "for his own good" cause "what was she supposed to do? 😭"
Or any similar situation. No, she wont do it at any little problem, but saying that Marinette would NEVER do it makes me wonder if these people like canon Marinette at all if they are so in denial about her massively flawed character.
Now, her doing it to CHAT NOIR is a different thing. Pre season 5, she would use his amok in a heart beat and claim its a totally level headed and a phenomenal battle strategy he needs to learn to respect her for. It would be sold as "he trusts her so MUCH uwu" and "she would never hurt him, it cant be abusive 😢"
Thats one of the only good things I can say about season 4 Ladynoir. At least Marinette didnt know Chat Noir is a Sentimonster. Knowing Marinette's disastrous writing in that conflict (she was rewarded for and held to 0 moral standards), she might have even refused to give the amok back to him and taken it with her "for save keeping because shes the guardian and she decided that him having his amok is too dangerous".
She would have raped his mind several times just to avoid any pushback or confrontation. She would have used "kind" phrasing to order him to shut up or to just stand there and do nothing but follow her orders.
She wouldn't have considered Chat's humanity one bit because for her hes already just some magical pet, and would have still only started crying for herself once anything might have asked her to realize what shes doing to him is wrong. Why should this factor cause a development in her that hasn't happened in Canon? Canon Marinette is a selfish leech in her treatment of Chat Noir. He cant have anything or anyone. She will abuse him however she likes, she gives no support back, she forbids him from existing as a real person, shes entirely uninterested in him as a person, she lies and uses him with a smile to prevent him from ever asks anything of her ever again the second even the tiniest consideration was expected of her, and then turns around and plays blameless cause "he didn't tell me 😢 im so pure he just isn't dedicating himself enough to me 😭" once she has to somewhat face that he wasn't treated well.
It is a god send that Marinette doesn't know that Chat Noir is a Sentimonster. Sure, she would show at least SOME restraint for Adrien, but even that has obvious limits once she doesn't agree with the big decisions he will make. But Chat Noir? Lord have mercy on that boy, she already barely allows him any true personhood and treats him like an animal and puppet to abuse, sacrifice, and posses to stroke her ego.
She would abuse the SHIT out of that amok and the show would paint her as "kind" and "loving" or "badass" for doing it over and over and OVER again.
But it's fine, cause she's doing it with love ❤️ and isn't her doing all that to him the proof he needed that she values him cause otherwise she would have long killed him like the goddess of justice she is? 😘
---
Oh, yeah, I have no faith on Marinette’s self control over the Amok if Adrien did something she found “bad” enough that she’d have “no other choice”. I think Adrien's career path would invoke this reaction if she couldn't badger, pressure and hound him into changing his mind first. She'd be crying while she does it about how she doesn't want to but she can't lose Adrien after they've come so far together and we’d be expected to think that yeah, she's totally justified, couldn't Adrien just do whatever Marinette wants because it's so sad when Marinette is upsette.
You're also totally right on how Ladybug would totally be controlling Cat Noir with his Amok if she had the knowledge and access. After all, Cat Noir gets mind controlled so often that it's just an excellent backup plan for Ladybug to have a counter mind control option. And it would be so convenient if she could just will Cat Noir to do what her plan requires instead of telling him to, because now the enemy can't hear her scheme. It's fine, because she's the leader and Cat Noir would follow her lead anyway. There's no moral conundrum here, because she's Ladybug and she decides what good and evil mean!

Let's talk about 'Blue Character Tragedy'.
Apparently I've been talking about this a few times before, but very briefly and not as a full 'post'. Before anything, let me state that this is purely my opinion and some interesting things I've noticed.
Anyway! The 'Blue Character Tragedy' is actually quite popular thing in media, since Blue is often associated with something sad, depressive and ect. (good example is Lapis from Steven Universe), but! They can be as well portraited as quiet energetic and funny characters (for example Genie from Aladdin).
Here, in MCSM, we have not only a little mix of both, but also two different paths of characters fate depending on the Season.
Let's remember characters that are associated with blue: Petra, Gabriel, Vos and Fred. Not a lot of them, but still a good variety for one media. However, there's a thick line between them: season two characters are dead meanwhile season one characters are pretty much alive and well, if you can say so.
Let's discuss First Season.
We have both Gabriel and Petra seen as 'Warriors', strong part of the team. Only fight, no flight.
However, there's a similarity between them: loneliness.
The difference is in timelines: Gabriel is shown as someone 'lonely' after his team fell apart, while Petra is shown as someone lonely before she even got herself a team.
Remember that small moment, when Jesse was forced to choose between The Amulet that should've fell down or Axel&Reuben, who needed help? Gabriel and Petra react differently depending on Player's choice.
Gabriel puts the task above his people, having previous experience with Old Order Of The Stone. Because Soren was too afraid for them, he used c. block, putting people above the task, which lead to lies about EnderDragon battle, Ivor leaving the team, creation of WitherStorm and the whole situation he's now put in. He praises Jesse if they choose The Amulet, and act a bit grumpy if they chose their Friend.
That doesn't show him, as a bad person, but he has his own experience and traumas to deal with. Being too devoted to Old Order, he missed the line where he should've stop them and think about their actions, so he doesn't want Jesse to be as blind as he was back in days.
Petra, however, puts people above tasks, because previously she probably didn't have a moment where she actually needed to choose badly between those two things. She hasn't been in situations where this choice actually makes difference, so she acts like her moral compass tells her to. Obviously she praises Jesse if they choose their friends and acts a lot more grumpier, than Gabriel is, if they choose The Amulet.
She had never had a team before, so in situations like this she reacts purely on something she thinks is "right", not counting any dangers that can came in with her choice. Inexperienced, she doesn't know yet that sometimes it's better to choose task above people.
He's hurt, because he had a team, she's hurt, because she hadn't.
However, in Season Two we clearly see Petra can't stand being put in one place even if her team is there. Just like Gabriel after WitherStorm, she goes into traveling and if Jesse joins her: it's good. I'm pretty sure when Ivor found Gabriel, our Warrior didn't hesitate for a moment to forgive him.
They need teams even if they don't want to admit it: Gabriel is still as devoted to Old Order as back in days and Petra still wants someone to be near her there.
Second Season.
Here things are a bit more.. complected because they both are dead. Yeah, not very funny. However, the funny is that both were just as lonely as Gabriel and Petra. Fred thought Romeo can get better and was clearly alone in that, meanwhile Vos spend his last days alone in a cage.
We can't say too much about them because of the circumstances, but we still can make some points from what we saw and heard in-game from other characters, Romeo's shapeshifting and Fred's recording.
Starting with Fred, let me put it clearly: even he technically had a "team", this very didn't felt like one. Romeo with his whole "world domination", Xara clearly wanting to beat the shit out of him and Fred being the only one who wants to put it all in trashcan and have his friends back. He couldn't freely talk to Xara, he couldn't freely talk to Romeo, he needed to decided between them, he needed to create a weapon that eventually will destroy his friend and he was killed by that very friend.
The thing between him and Season One dou is that his team never felt like one. Couldn't felt like one. It just didn't work as long as Romeo had his powers. He was mentally left by them long time ago.
Last but not least: Vos. Depending on how Romeo acted and what Jack&Nurm were saying, clearly Vos kinda was the same like of the rest of our blue team. Because Sammy is also a missing detail here, I can't say for sure, how their relationship was going, but I can assume it's one of the healthiest among others. It's not like they had unspoken words between them, need to go separated ways or feeling like they're not even a team.
And still though just like the rest of Blue dummies, he was lonely. The difference is that he was forced to be left alone psysically. I can't quite get it why exactly Jack left both him and Sammy at the Temple, he could've at least hire a team or smth, ask the Order for help, but the fact is the fact: Vos was left alone psysically.
Loneliness.
They all felt loneliness because of different things.
Gabriel forced himself to leave the team.
Petra forced herself to be without a team.
Fred was left alone mentally.
Vos was left alone psysically.

Halo and ULTRAKILL ramble uhhhh
Ermm spoilers for halo 2 if you gaf but that game is literally older than me so.. also halo 3 but I'm older than halo 3 I think <3 and also ultrakillz spoils
I just realized Thel 'Vadam (Arbiter) and Gabriel have a lot in common in their arcs (Halo 2-3 and Ultrakill act 1-2 respectively) in how they were weapons for their religion, and then after failing their prophets, they were punished and sent after a heretic to kill them. But the heretic ultimately changed their viewpoint and led them to killing their religious leader(s) (if I remember right Arby only killed one of the prophets himself but still)
They also are very different in how Thel was the "will of the prophets" after he failed to prevent the destruction of one of the Rings or Holy Halos or whatever they were called, and Thel's new status as Arbiter actually made him a disposable soldier who was sent on 'noble' missions that were also incredibly dangerous enough to get him killed. As one of the prophets said (I can't tell any of those old sacks apart, it was probably Regret because I Regret looking at his ugly ass) "The tasks you must undertake as Arbiter are perilous--suicidal! You will die as each Arbiter has before you. The Council will have their corpse." I'm citing my evidence are you proud English teachers.. He was Arbiter not because he was such a good soldier, but because he was being punished for failing the Prophets EVEN THOUGH IIRC HE LED LIKE THE SECOND LARGEST FLEET OF ELITE SHIPS AND OBLITERATED MILLIONS OF HUMANS so clearly he wasn't THAT incompetent but I guess that's why they made him Arbiter instead of killing him. He was still useful and devoted to The Great Journey (their religion) so the prophets used him without having to value him.. damn... kinda what they had going on with Gabriel..
And GABRIEL was like the opposite in status.. he was one of the best angels, he was never defeated until that cute bastard V1 ground him down to size... he sat in shame before the council as they wrenched a scream from his throat with the agony they put him through (Just like Thel). He had wrought bloodshed and destroyed countless souls with blind faith..jUs LIKE THEL HEEHEHEHEHE.!!! I don't really think there's much I can go into with ultrakill that hasn't already been said because you ultrakill fans are beautiful thoughtful yappers. However the halo fans are... mostly homophobic Xbox players... so.. yeah as far as I'm aware not a lot of deep reflection happening there LOOOL also I'm just scared of them because they're usually unpleasent in my experience

I might go more into depth because this was just a ramble I started and ended in like 20 minutes, there's surely a lot more to be said, maybe I'll write a little essay if I have the time because I love these games so freaking much. Halo I played since I was a wee lass with family and friends and myself so I hold it very close in my heart. I love Thel so much he's awesome. And I love Master Chief too but Arby is special to me.. also I think Master Chief and that guy he's stuck with in Halo Infinite should kiss and get married. ANyways, Gabriel.. well.. I like what he represents but Gabriel himself.. I have fun objectifying him 💗
Also unrelated but I love Rtas 'Vadum he's awesome too and him and Arby should kiss also (?? What is wrong with me?

So I wanted to try out some creative writing with this new auuuuuu~ gave it a cool name, "Into Ashes", not too bad right? To start of I thought to write a few paragraphs about how the main three angels- Mike, Gabe, and Raph, are told that they are to travel to a different universe and see what's there. Maybe I'll have one or two others go with them, I dunno yet. Something simple like that as a little test, you could say.. I don't know what I'm doing honestly but hey! It's fun
Anyway, writing and art:

"Listen, my son. I have an important task for you and your brothers.
There exists a world which has been abandoned by its Lord.
Go to this world, Michael. See what can be salvaged"
The final words his father spoke to him echoed through Michael's mind as he descended through the highest Heavens down to where his brothers awaited him. The skies swirled with purple and blue hues, illuminated by the stars and the ophanim who held together the galaxies. A sight he wasn't privileged to often, his work within heaven rarely gave him any free time to explore their skies the way he could when he was younger. And yet, he still felt like a young child when lifted by father's hand, as if he never left his light all those millennia ago. He tries to not think too deeply about those times.
'A rare event' he thought to himself, 'father hasn't spoken to any of us in centuries' he straightened out his suit, still wearing it after returning from a mission down on earth, he hadn't had the time to change before being summoned to his father's throne.
'I might even be completely camouflaged against the colour of the heavens right now, perhaps they won't even notice my return' he thought, amused.
Passing through the golden gates that lead to the throne of his father and into the archangels' domain, the figures of the two younger angels appeared through the thick layers of cloud. Raphael, the fourth oldest of the angels welcomed his brother back with a warm smile, his halo glowing brightly behind his head. Gabriel- the third oldest- walked up to Michael, being the first to break the silence,
"I almost thought you'd never come back down to us!" He joked, absentmindedly twirling a lock of his long hair in his hand
'A nervous tic' Michael mused
"You were gone for quite a while" added Raphael
Gabriel began again, "so... what does father want from us? It must be quite important if he asked to speak to you in person"

And so the eldest began his account of the events from the past few hours.
"We are to travel to another realm, a world that has been forsaken to ruin by its God and left to its own devices. He did not tell me what to expect, and really, this is the last thing I expected...." he trailed off, his expression perplexed, just what was his father's plan this time?
"Wh- huh? And.. how are we to get to this world?" Raphael's voice chimed in, bewilderment written all over his face. His short fluffy ears swaying as he turned his head to look back at the eldest.
"I... assume he will somehow transport us there once we are suitably prepared..?" He wasn't so sure in his answer, it wasn't unusual for his father's words to be vague. Regrettably, this is the one time Michael wishes they weren't. However, he was raised to trust in his God and His abilities.
To accept the way things are and not to question anything.
Gabriel spoke once more before turning to head back down to the lower levels of Heaven
"Well then.. no time like the present to get ourselves ready, right?"

How about a romantic concept with Reaper (Gabriel Reyes) from Overwatch? If it’s possible!
Sure! I'll write what I can about him :D
Yandere! Gabriel Reyes/Reaper Concept
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Stalking, Violence/Murder, Manipulation, Threats, Kidnapping, Breaking and entering, Forced relationship implied.
Reaper, due to his past, is definitely the type to watch his darling from the shadows.
He doesn't want to get too involved with you due to his job.
Reaper has two ways of developing an obsession.
He can develop it during Overwatch/Blackwatch when he was still known as Gabriel Reyes, where it starts normal with a civilian or soldier.
He can develop it after becoming Reaper and is searching for a sense of normalcy.
Even the first option can end in him becoming Reaper and hunting you similar to the second one.
Reaper is someone who feels he doesn't need romantic relationships.
He's a soldier/mercenary meant to complete missions.
That's the job, he shouldn't have personal connections.
... that is until he sets his sights on you.
For this concept I plan on keeping the plot centered around Reaper instead of Reyes.
I feel the two could have two different concepts/plots.
Reaper could've known you as a fellow soldier, another mercenary, or just a civilian.
His obsession appears very slow in nature.
This is because he'd hide himself from you, like a shadow in your life.
He's also battling within himself on what the right thing to do is.
He shouldn't have personal connections... yet why does he keep staring?
Why does he keep watching you?
Yet it's like he tries to justify it to himself.
There's no harm in keeping an eye on you while he works for Talon... it's not like he's doing anything.
For the most part Reaper is just a phantom in your life.
He just hovers where you are, watching your every move.
Watching you makes him calm, he feels a bit more human.
Yet at the same time he feels like a monster... a monster from Talon stalking you in the darkness.
It's wrong... but it's not like he hasn't killed before, yeah?
He'll always be a monster.
So what's the harm in watching something/someone who gives him happiness?
In the first half of his obsession he's mostly harmless.
You don't know he's there except for the creeping paranoia of being watched.
For the most part Reaper tries to keep his obsession this way.
He can silently indulge in you without you knowing.
However, as most obsessions go, watching you is soon not enough.
Reaper catches himself fantasizing while working.
He wants to come home to your warmth and not cold darkness.
He wants to be seen as human, not the blatant monster he is.
He wants to be seen by you.
Part of him even wants you to accept him.
Reaper knows such a thing will never happen.
He's stealthy enough to sneak into your home to get a new fix.
He soaks in the sight of your home and often finds himself looking through your items.
There's times he tries to just feel comfort in your warmth by sitting by you.
It's odd, this ruthless is brought into a more docile state just by your presence.
As though he's trying to forget his crimes for just a moment to feel loved.
Yet it seems that's not entirely true as Reaper has no issue with killing behind your back.
He makes plans to target those he doesn't like around you.
Although he holds off such plans until the third part of his obsession.
Soon he feels he has to take you in as you've become a distraction and potential target.
Before you fully know of his presence, Reaper would make his move.
You would know nearly nothing about this man before he restrains you and takes you away.
He's efficient, leaving no trace of his presence when he takes you.
It just appears as though you ran away....
Reaper would then hide you away, be it in an office, a home, or some Talon bunker.
Not many question him, he's one of the most skilled mercenaries in the organization.
If he wants to take you in as some prisoner or pet, they won't get involved.
Reaper plans to see you as more than that though.
He wants to see you as a partner... yet he may end up breaking you in the process.
When you wake up he tries to be gentle... he tries to keep his patience.
Yet due to the circumstances... there will be some time before you stop resisting.
Once he has what he wants he's careful with eliminating the targets who knew you.
Similar to Sombra, he wants no trace of you in the outside world.
It just appears as though death himself whisked you away...
Considering your fate is with Reaper... perhaps he really did.

Hnnnng hi new to the blog and the fandom and love the god!mc au stuff its so good.
So I'd like to toss my hat into the ring here with something I think can be juicy?
So like. What if god!mc just accepted their fate- that they're good incarnate and the Gabriel and the angels have stolen them away? Sure Mc is angry- livid specifically with Gabriel but they accept that they're god.
I dunno what godly duties mc may have but they do it- they speak to angels and smile and orders them around politely. They make heaven a bit more tolerable and maybe even slowly work to stop conflict between heaven and hell. It's all smiles and pleases and thank yous and even a few i care foe/love yous all around.
Except with Gabriel. God!mc hasn't spoken or even acknowledged him since they were taken to heaven screaming and crying and the last interaction was just the most hateful glare they could muster. And that's it- there's no smiles at Gabriel or spoken words or orders or acknowledgement. Maybe Gabriel has tried to approach mc to speak before but the inky response he gets is nothing but a blank expression with no heat or even ice behind it and a stare like they're seeing past him, waiting for another angel to come over to talk to them or if one that they want to speak with catches their eye. Its a silent refusal to acknowledge Gabriel's existence.
God!mc doesn't think it's much but they hope its a good enough punishment for the bastard.
Ohhhhh~ I always thought of MC as having some degree of hatred for the position since they would literally be abducted from their life and friends, but an MC that willingly slots into the role is an interesting choice. The question is if it's silent resignation with a dash of animosity or if they're embracing it wholeheartedly and taking delight in Gabriel's suffering. Mayhaps their warm embrace of the other angels is simply another way to punish Gabriel rather than actual affection for Heaven, in the case of a particularly manipulative MC. Ignoring him, watching his entire existence be ignored when he's always loved them... isn't that mildly cathartic? Or maybe they truly do not care. Gabriel is nothing to them.
However, it would be wrong to assume Gabriel would simply accept such treatment. He has always loved God more than any other angel according to him. There is no chance such passions would fade simply because he's being ignored. He will just have to make sure MC can't look past him anymore. He's already killed other angels before, so going further wouldn't be hard. He'll make sure MC looks his way; in awe or terror is irrelevant.

"Ah well, always did want to go his own way. Always asking damn fool questions, too."
Okay, I'm trying to get my thoughts together here, but let me see if I can verbalize why this line bothers me so much.
I generally take the final fifteen at face value (although I absolutely love reading any and all meta/theories about it). I think Aziraphale believes that he can make a difference, and I think he honestly thought making Crowley an angel again was a good thing, not because he doesn't think Crowley is good (he tells Crowley such on multiple occasions), but because I think there is a part of him that believes that Crowley doesn't like to cause misery for humanity and this would give him an out. I don't think he really considered how it would sound, and I think he was honestly surprised by Crowley's reaction. And I think that sometimes Aziraphale uses Crowley as a moral compass to some extent, not in the sense of Crowley knowing what is good, but Crowley knowing the shades of grey and what doesn't feel right, which, in part is why he was reconsidering going to heaven when The Metatron came back into the bookshop.
HOWEVER, this line from The Metatron always bothered me. We've already established that Crowley and The Metatron know each other, and are familiar enough that Crowley recognizes him right away (I don't think this is just because of the trial video he watched in heaven, because Saraqeal saw it too and didn't recognize him, and Michael and Uriel also interacted with him during the trial and neither recognized him).
I think that whatever rank Crowley was in heaven (I have my own theories), it involved close work or interaction with The Metatron on a fairly regular basis, and I sometimes wonder if The Metatron didn't have something to do with his fall (I acknowledge that Neil has told us Crowley is an unreliable narrator, so I don't think he fell by "accident"). From what I can remember about biblical lore, Lucifer (and his angels) fell, not because he questioned God, but because he refused to put humanity above his love for God. Crowley, from what I can tell, is the only angel who *questioned* God. He actually does love humanity more than God, so he actually really didn't go against God's will in heaven, per se.
So, when The Metatron tells Aziraphale that Crowley always did want to go his own way and how he was always asking questions, it implies some kind of familiarity, and I don't think it was necessarily just by reputation.
Consider that in 1x01, Gabriel didn't even really seem to know who Crowley was (which always struck me as a little weird), despite the fact that we know Crowley fought in the war in heaven, and logic would posit that "The Supreme Archangel" would have also fought in the war. And sure, there were probably hundreds or thousands of participants in the war, but Crowley is well-known enough that he is recognizable to both demons and angels that he hasn't interacted with for thousands of years.
...
I've lost the thread now. Uh, to sum up, I think Crowley was important and powerful in heaven. I don't think God is who made Crowley fall. I think The Metatron did it or played some role in it, and I think that he knew Crowley would never go back to heaven, but needed to sever the connection between Crowley and Aziraphale because he knew that Crowley would know something was going on in heaven, when Aziraphale might not (I think Aziraphale knows heaven is toxic, but I think he is willing to go back because he truly believes he can make a difference *for humanity* by being in charge, I just don't think he's actually going to be in charge, and Crowley knows that but Aziraphale doesn't).
Anyway, I have no idea if this stream of consciousness makes any sense to anyone else, but, I'm very interested to see if we will get more heaven flashbacks/minisodes in Season 3, particularly of The Battle and Crowley's fall.

Hi, how are you? Could you do one of how they would react when we bring a pet with us? With Vittorio, Gabriel and Renato
Sure. I'm going to switch it to the reader bringing a pet home if that's alright. Please enjoy. Also, for the Renato one, the scientific name for iguana is actually iguana iguana.
With a reader who brings up at home: Vittorio, Gabriel, Renato
Renato Lyra
You're barely through the door.
"Hey, is that an iguana?"
"No way!"
"Did you know the scientific name for an iguana is iguana iguana?"
And he'll go off.
The man's like a walking encyclopedia.
Yes, he may be a bit socially awkward.
But he loves animals.
Loves them.
It's a miracle he hasn't brought an animal home himself already.
He'll actually confess that he has tried in the past but was too afraid of your reaction to go through with it.
So he's got a whole collection of pet care items that he's been saving for just such an occasion.
So you won't have to worry about going to find things for your new pet, he's already got them.
Renato isn't great at making friends.
So this animal may be his ticket to learning to talk to people.
For, at least giving him the confidence to.
He'll walk around the survivor campfire with the iguana on his shoulder.
"What? He's a great conversation starter."
And, to be fair, Ronaldo is absolutely correct.
With his new pet, he has gained the confidence to talk to other survivors and make friends.
It's going to end up more of his pet than yours.
Iguanas have a tendency to bond to just a few people.
And it has absolutely bonded to Renato.
More so than you.
But, seeing your boyfriend so happy with his new pet and new friends?
It's worth it.
Vittorio Toscano
A pet?
"You want to... Keep it?"
"Like... In the house?"
Vittorio grew up in a time where pets weren't really a thing.
You had farm animals, that's it.
And they weren't considered pets.
Much less family members.
So it's going to take him time to get used to the concept of having an animal live and sleep with you.
But if this giant dog makes you so happy, who is he to tell you otherwise?
He'll be observing you playing, feeding, and walking your dog.
To him, it's very strange.
But, seeing as it makes you so happy, he wants to know what the hype is about.
So he'll observe you like it's some sort of science experiment.
Don't take it as him being condescending or rude.
He's genuinely trying to figure out what makes owning a pet so appealing.
However, his observations don't really get the same feel as actually playing or just being with a dog.
So, handsome the leash and tell him what to do.
At first, he'll be very rigid and pull the dog a lot.
But, after you show him what to do, he'll start to get the feel of things.
In just a few short weeks he went from confused and bewildered to a loving doting dog dad.
And, just like any pet parrot, he's always talking about his dog.
It's like the same skeptical person that existed just a few weeks prior never existed.
"It's because I didn't know the joys of owning a dog."
Soon, he'll probably know even more than you.
Until completely take over the care of the dog.
Seeing him so carefree and happy is such a rewarding feeling that you can't help but Wonder what he would do if you suggested getting another dog.
Don't be surprised if your house turns into more of a zoo than an actual home in the future.
Gabriel Soma
Another one who had never owned a pet.
Except, for him, it's because he's not exactly a normal human.
He's a clone that was made for a specific job.
Almost like a robot.
You wouldn't give a robot a pet.
So, naturally, he doesn't really understand the concept.
But the moment this little kitten crawls into his lap, he knows.
It's like something inside him suddenly clicks.
"I can't move... The cat is sleeping on me."
And if you suggest moving it?
"That would be rude."
"They look so comfortable, I don't want to ruin that."
And a billion other excuses as to why you shouldn't remove the cat from his lap.
He's also very into training your cat.
He'll find and read countless books about training cats and what you can do with it.
"Well, like humans, animals require mental stimulation."
Gabriel could almost recite the entire book to you.
He's that into it.
Soon, you'll have a cat that can do basic tricks and is target trained.
It's something that keeps the both of them busy.
Gabriel is used to working non-stop, so resting is difficult for him.
This is a great way to use his free time doing something productive.
Occasionally, when Gabriel feels like relaxing, you'll find the two of them snuggled up together on the couch or the bed.
It's so amazing to believe that your ever busy boyfriend could be calmed with just a little cat.

How To Lose A Lucifer In 10 Days. 22 [Appleradio, Radioapple]
Step 22: Capture him
That room of Heaven hadn't had a lot of use on the best of days. There was usually no need for it. But for the day in particular there was needed a perfect understanding of the situation and for that, everyone needed to be on the same page. As if to commemorate the particularity of the situation, for the first time in a long time atriles that normally would be empty now were full.
When the last relevant figure appeared, all murmuring stopped immediately, leaving a expectantly silence. The figure approached the center of the room and they evaluated all the presents, row by row, adjusting his glasses.
"Where is Michael?" was the first sentence of the archangel Gabriel.
One hand lifted from the upper rows. Since it was the only one up, Gabriel made a gesture to allow the angel to speak.
"Waiting to go" provided helpfully Uriel. "He is all ready now."
"Does he even know what he has to do?" Gabriel saw the same hand elevating on the air and made a gesture to allow the word.
"Go to hell and look for Lucifer!" aported Uriel, which raised some more murmurs from the lower rows.
Gabriel sighed, pressing his brow. This was exactly what he was expecting to avoid with the meeting. He applauded once, a loud sound that reverberated against the walls, calling back the attention to him.
"That is not all" said, gathering patience. "Can someone please pick go pick him up?"
Ten minutes later, Raphael came back with an annoyed archangel just behind. Gabriel stared at them until they were placed on their respective seat. He pointedly ignored all the huffing and scoffing from Michael. Only after finally there was silence again, he extended a pointer from his robe, making appear a huge light blue screen behind himself.
"As some of you know, a month ago or so I received a prophecy that a great power coming from hell was on the horizon. A power big enough to destroy Heaven. Yes, I know" said at the exclamation and shock on his audience. "However, it wasn't a sure thing so it still could be prevented. In order to gather information on the situation, we contacted an embassador that we had send to hell many years ago and was ordered to stay there precisely if something like this happened" Gabriel pointed to the screen, where two picture of a minor angel appeared. On the right it was the last known picture of the angel, happy and smiling, and on the left was the last picture they could get from him as they made contact in hell, appropriately not smiling so much anymore and with more than a few scars to show for. "He never actually fell and therefore never became an official resident of hell, making him immune to the authority of the king and out of his knowledge. He has managed to survive by pretending to be a bird kind of demon and staying out of trouble, patiently waiting for the moment he was to be called for. When all of this is over, he is due returning back to home. He… hasn't stopped repeating that we can't stand it anymore on each one of his transmissions."
Uriel lifted her hand again.
"What is his name?" asked, curious.
Gabriel blinked slowly. He looked at the screen again, realized he had never put that bit of information between the one he did add and frowned. Off the top of his head he had no idea either. Well, that was slightly embarasssing.
"That is not important right now" said, after clearing his throat. "Anyway. Because of him being there, we have managed to gather the following" He made a bunch of gesture in the air. The images on the screen dissapeared to be replaced with some short phrases. "First, there is apparently something called original stones that are said to be extremely powerful. Powerful enough to concede any wish anyone could want, even immense power if wanted. Our ambassador came to find out about it by being around the gang of some minor sinner with a canvas for a head who bragged about it. This same gang was later whipped out entirely by Lucifer, leaving no dammned witness behind" A wave of shock and horror passed through most of the audience. Gabriel let them to zimmer on the cruelty of their fallen brother, that he would even attack his own subjects, before continueing on the same clinical tone. "Because of this, we have deduced that Lucifer is after this cursed item to give himself that power. Some of you might be asking, why now? It has been millenia since his falling. Extermination has been suspended until further notice and it was mutually agreed upon in the first place. If Lucifer was looking for revenge, why wait this long? In order to explain this I have to tell you all that I just lied."
On the screen there was again the pictures of the embassador, now duplicated. The after versions had some minors differences.
"The angel that came from Heaven to stay in hell that brought us this information" explained Gabriel, touching one pair with his pointer, "and the angel that stayed in hell from another very similar dimension that gave us the why. As you can see, even the placement of most of their scars are the same. The second one of the ambassadors came to find out the same information by working in a company in hell above a mall where Lucifer, under a disguise, and a companion of his were in search of that item as well. Once again, that ambassador barely managed to escape total anhillitation by managing to fly off a window while Lucifer's companion whipped out the entire floor under orders of their king. This companion" added, flickering his wrist to brought on the picture of a smiling demon walking along some park, buying meat at a butcher shop and laughing maniacally while dark tentacles born out of the ground doing something out of frammes. Each of those images was slightly pixelated and wrong, but it was enough to give a general idea of how the subject look like, "is officially known as Alastor Morningstar. The radio demon, as he is called among other sinners" The screen now showed a gangly, tall beast picking up moving figures off the street to carry directly into a an open smiling mouth. "On that other dimension, there was never a Lilith that would fall alongside with Lucifer. Therefore, Lucifer ended up choosing this sinner as his husband to give his chosen last name to. One can only assume that it was because of the levels of violence, chaos and destruction this single sinner was capable of, Lucifer thought him worthy to keep around as an attack dog whenever it was convenient. We don't know for sure how many lives this single soul has taken, but a lot would probably be a understatement."
Many other pictures of confirmed victims of the radio demon were spread through the screen. Most of them were pixelated on the most gruesome parts to avoid having the entire council to endure something that disgusting. A few were entirely pixelated to the point that it was impossible to tell what was on it and only a portion were just the image of a sinner crossed with red crosses. Despite the precaution, though, the horror and repulse could be heard all through out, with more than a few gagging noises. Someone commented that of course something capable of all that would end up in hell.
The hand of a slightly nauseous looking Uriel was up in the air again.
"Yes?" Gabriel pointed at her.
"There is no pictures of Lucifer and this radio demon together? So we don't have to keep seeing that…" added, wincing.
"No, we don't actually" Gabriel still took the images off the screen. They had already done their job to show off how truly monsterous this soul was, which only made Lucifer look all the more dangerous in return. "They are not open about their relationship in hell. We don't really know why. When the other embassador got told the true name of this sinner and why he was with Lucifer, he had no idea. Lucifer apparently is not big in public appearences as it was so he wasn't entirely sure if the king was alive. Clearly, Lucifer prefers to work in the shadow to arrogantly carry on his evil actions without anyone to bother him."
The entire council murmured a more calmed agreement. That made perfect sense for them.
"The day of the last Extermination, unfortunately for them, this sinner was proven to not be unfallible as he succumbed under the attack of their Adam" The screen showed a picture of the first man weilding his golden axe/guitar in the air, making horn with his other hand. "Adam however made a mistake. He attacked the princess of that world, a hellborn" A image of Charlie with two tiny antlers on top of her head, one eye two tones red and green stitches at the corners of her mouth flashed on the screen, awkardly waving at public on a clip before showing her fist fighting a woman in a red suit during what appeared to be a news report. More evidence of how unhinged hellish beings were like, up to the royalty. What else could anyone expect from the daughter of Lucifer?" This gave that Lucifer permission to intervene, just like it happened here. According to our reports, the difference was that Lucifer went berserk over all exorcists. I won't overwhelm you all with visuals of that horrible day. Just know that by the time he was done, only one exorcist was left alive. She was send back to Heaven with one single message to deliver."
The screen flashed the words This is the price for my sinner, alongside a picture of Adam's opaque halo and Lute coming back to Heaven through a portal, alone, moments before having a breakdown in front of Sera. Unlike the ambassador, Lute was a face that they knew and could easily sympathize with. Coming back without Adam had been already a hard blow to deal with for the one they knew, but to lose all her companions in one single encounter? It was hard to even imagine the impact something like that could have. Not to mention just the sheer amount of brutality required to carry out such a swift elimination of heavenly forces.
"A horrible violent act that could have and should have ended right there" continued Gabriel. "But it didn't. For some reason, the soul of the radio demon end up redeemed on their Heaven. As some of you might remember, a soul of our dimension also made it up to Heaven" Sir Pentious, in his new angelic form, smiled awkwardly for them to see. It was big news when it first happened and then the novelty passed, becoming just another part of their daily life that they had no way of understanding or controlling", but after some careful interrogation we determined that we was, in fact, a good soul. A little bit egotistical maybe, but not evil. That other dimension, instead, had something else entirely. Even the mortal soul agreed."
Gabriel made a quick dismissive motion, bringing up a recorded video from the office building of Heaven. They all could recognize a Sera sitting at the table, the placement of their coffee maker and even every pierce of furniture there. The only new and different addition was the person sitting in front of her. For the most part, it wasn't easy to miss that had to be related to the original radio demon, with almost all colors lighter and green eyes that glared at Sera without any reservation. From some speakers at the sides of the rooms, they could hear the voice of the demon himself talking:
"Before that, I had enslaved more than a hundreds souls, killed way too many people I cared to count and consumed the flesh of my fellow sinners happily. Sometimes while they were still alive. As you can imagine, with such a colorful existence, this turned out quite a shock for me."
A moment later, came the reply from Sera:
"Giving up your life for the sake of a loved one is a very good redeeming quality."
"Oh, I wasn't intending to do that" The radio demon almost sounded amused at the idea. "If anything, I wanted to heal quickly to get back and finish the job with Adam. Now I will have to comfort myself knowing that my husband at least did it for me."
"Nevertheless, you did. You gave up your life for the sake of your child. Not all parents would have done the same. You should be proud of that" was the reply.
"What is this? If you are trying to convince me that I somehow actually belong here, I am afraid you are wasting your time, dear. I have lived enough in hell to know that is my true place. I knew it even when I was alive too and didn't even believe on it."
"Please, I need you to be aware of this" said Gabriel to the whole room. "That Sera was merely trying to follow the will of the powers that send that soul to Heaven, to try to make sense of it for herself and that soul to make his staying on Heaven all the more easy. Don't take her words as an endorsement of the true character of the demon. She had no idea who she was talking to, and yet, she still spoke to him with kidness all the same. If anything, we should praise her for her trying to be welcoming for someone who so openly talked about the most horrific acts imaginable like they were a mere hobby. To further demonstrate how much of a mistake it was to send him there, this demon repayed the gentle disposition of Sera with nothing but crude and hateful words. I only provide these so we are all on the same page about what kind of monster we are dealing with. When offered with eternal bliss in paradise, a fate the rest of humanity would be more than glad to accept, this is how he responded."
The Alastor on the screen had stand up and thrown his chair to the floor, his hands shaking over the table as he stared at Sera while showing off his teeth in a clearly menacing gesture.
"Spare me that bullshit" Many exclamations of horror were heard around. More than a few angel took their hands to their chests, horrified and dissaproving. "I don't know what kind of order you think you have here, but I want no part on it! Send me back now or I swear for everything you hold holy that I will show you a piece of hell that you will never forget!"
A surprised gasp ran through the presents at the truly heinous display. Gabriel nodded with such sentiments. He gave them a moment to digest it properly, to sit with the words alone.
"Long story short, he did good on his promise" added, now showing another video.
Multiple video footage appeared through out the screen, all despicting a different zone of Heaven being light up on fire. Across many of them, before the fire appeared, they could see a white figure flying across the sky and letting fall bottle out of a backpack carrying on his hands. The responsible was covered up by a hoodie that made it difficult to see their face. Only the last image showed their profile, standing on a park. The tall ears standing out from their head was a dead giveaway, even if they couldn't also clearly Lucifer standing in front of the then winner in a posture that looked about to pounce like a feral creature to Sera. She instead looked to calmly stand there, hand over her chest.
"We are not showing it for obvious reasons" continued Gabriel, "but outside of the frame of this image there was a summoning circles with a sacrifice. A lamb cherub's blood was used in order to cause this scene to happen. A innocent whose only interaction with the radio demon before then was to try to help cheer up poor new souls in their adaptation center. A place where the radio demon was send to, only to cause grief and trouble for everyone around him despite the hospitality they tried to show him. He was let out the center when five months have passed, after he had convinced Sera that he was a truly reformed soul that only wanted to belong in Heaven. As you all can see now, that was just a lie. In preparation, the radio demon was actually gathering his resources to make as much of a disaster as he was capable and keep everyone distracted in order to commit this crime against creation. Just to rub more salt to the wound, after ignoring all the attempt of Sera to appeal any sense of compassion they could hold, Lucifer ordered that wretched soul to sign his soul away to him. Effectively spitting on the incredibly miracle that had been completely wasted on him."
The last footage started moving again, speeding up to Alastor already having his shackles on. That alone was already enough of a shameful display. Soul owning by anyone lower than their creator was such an evil and disgusting concept that of course could only come from Hell, from the same creature that was laughing after another one was added to his collection.
"FREE WILL, BITCH!" were the words that the entire room could hear, coming from Lucifer himself, before he grabbed Alastor and they were on top of the summoning circle.
Some indignation started crossing among the repulsion for such crude language from someone already so crude. It wasn't enough for the devil that his trusted soul had caused such destruction around him, he also had to rub it in by bringing up the first sin he had consciously created for humanity. The sacrificed lamb was a censored pixelated detail on the side.
"That is how that Sera also find out the fate that their Adam had after being defeated in battle" followed up Gabriel, clearing his throat and giving himself a moment. This time not to give more effect, but rather because he could barely say the words without feeling something that he could only describe as sick. "Lucifer had eaten his body. In revenge for taking out a sinner's soul, something that was well within the right of Adam to do in the first place, according to the term agreed upon for Extermination. He said that anyone else who tried to bother his family in hell would recieve the same fate."
He let the weight of those words to properly fill all the present audience.
"That is not even all" sighed at last, bringing up more footage from the outside of the pearly gates. This some all full with the presence of a bunch of sinners appearing after open portal. In front of them, leading them on, a woman with a big hat and black eyes without pupils. "These specific kind of sinners are a special kind of horrific. They eat other sinners down in hell. Lucifer threatened to have these same soul devouring new winner souls before htey could ever enter. All in exchange of extorting Sera out of a piece of information he had no business requesting, regarding one of the winner souls his companion came in contact with during his stay. As you all probably have deduced by now, there is no limit to the depravity this Lucifer won't sink into if it's for his own disgusting ends. On that opportunity, it was only the bravery of Sera and resolution of Saint Peter who kept the situation under control until Lucifer got what he wanted and returned Hell. It could have ended a lot worse if only he got into a whim."
This time the hand of Samuel, the archangel of forgiveness, extended up hesitantly and Gabriel gave him permission to speak.
"But that was their Lucifer, right?" said slowly. "Not… ours. I can't see our Luci being so…" He made a vague gesture in the air before he just shivered.
"That is the thing" said Gabriel, regaining his composure. "Given how closely both of those dimension are in pretty much everything else, there is no reason to believe that if the circumstances would have been right, our… the Lucifer of this reality would have acted the same. The fact that both me and the other Gabriel had the exact same prophecy was already alarming on itself, but then we got confirmation that Lucifer was indeed in possesion of a power bigger than he had before. All courtesy of the Queen of Hell herself."
On the screen, the image of Lilith appeared, frowning. She was standing alone on the designated place to recieve meeting between Heaven and Hell, speaking through a communicator hanging from her neck. She was given that in order to keep the communication lines open, in case she could offer valuable information. On that ocassion, she did.
"A soul can be redeemed after all and none of you thought to tell me? I had to get confirmation myself from a trusted source! You know how much this means for Hell, for these souls, to be given a second chance and you didn't thought it was important for us to know!" The image froze right there.
"As we have established, soul redemption can happen. We are not sure as to why or how. Maybe we just aren't mean to know at all. In any case, since this is an issue that mostly is pertinent to Heaven, this was indeed something that was meant to only be known by those already in Heaven. There shouldn't have been any way for Lilith to know about it. Unless the Lucifer we were just talking about and his companion had told her as such. After this exchange happened, we got in contact with the ambassador from the other reality to know that a Lucifer still existed there. But now nobody was using the radio tower from which Alastor Morningstar had been broadcasting without fault until then. If now that failed winner and his respective Lucifer were in our reality, then there is no telling if we could be in danger to receive Lucifer's revenge just as much as their respective Heaven was. Of course we authorized the ambassador in our reality to do anything in his power to avoid that Lucifer and his companion to reach those stones. Likewise, the other reality did the same. As some of you might know, travelling across dimension is a immense power that has only been granted in very few opportunities. If those two had gained it already, we were running out of time."
Gabriel willed another image to appear in the screen, that of what looked to be an abandoned warehouse.
"The ambassador asked for our own power to help him create a big enough distraction to keep them occupied. There was supposed to be a meeting on that place to exchange one of those stones for their hellish currency. A small time invisible spell later, the ambassador got the stone and send it to us, where we could destroy it properly. As for the pair, they were trapped inside of a pocket dimension. Normally, Lucifer would have no bigger issue coming out on his own so we had to add a feature to make sure they would stay there. Samuel set it up himself."
"I did!" apported the archangel of Love, without raisig his hand in his enthusiasm. "I made a spell that activated a illusion that was the opposite of my virtue! I thought it would be the best to keep Lucifer and his damned companion entertained and won't want to leave at all!"
"You made a spell out of indifference?" asked Jophiel, interested on the design of that as the archangel for breauty and creativity.
"I couldn't really think how to work that in" recognized Samuel, scratching his neck. "The other opposite of love would have to do then! Fear! You can't love something if you are afraid. It creates doubt and paranoia! The spell is meant to bring out things they would think are the scariest one to happen. Their worst nightmares come to life! Of course, for most people this would be a horrible traumatic thing to witness! But if those hellish being are so awful as to enjoy doing all those horrible acts they commited, then it should be like a dream for them! One they won't want to wake up from!"
Many voices of approval lifted from the audience. That was some flawless logic if they ever heard one.
"It should have worked" said Gabriel, nodding his head. "It did, for a few hours at least. We all appreciate Samuel's help on this task. However, according to the latest report from the ambassador from Hell, when he went to check again on the pocket dimension it was empty. Lucifer and his companion were supposed to keep dreaming until the prophecy became obsolete and now they were gone again. It should have taken them a great deal of magic to pull that off. Maybe they had a secret stone all along that we just didn't know about or Lucifer had done something already to his companion to allow him to break free from the dream. Whatever the case, the prophecy is still active and we can't risk Lucifer reaching that kind of power. Any Lucifer with it is a threat that we must take care of immediately."
"That is what I was about to do when I was dragged here!" commented Michael, groaning in the end.
Gabriel huffed, not amused.
"We all need to be properly informed about the stakes here" reaffirmed, holding his hands on his back. "We are all aware of that we are not supposed to mess with Hell without Lucifer's knowledge as ruler of that realm, but these are special circumstances that require especial measure. Until we can be absolutely sure that neither of them are going to destroy Heaven or the prophecy no longer applies, we have to aprehend the devil. The other Heaven is willing to take them in, as the threat started out in their reality, and we have provided them with our remaining exorcists to carry out to Hell. We are just meant to bring those four to be locked up, nothing else" emphasized, directing a especially pointing look to Michael. "They might deal with punishment and pain down there as a daily interaction, but we are different than that. Better than that. Yes?" added, noticing the hand raised up of Uriel.
"Isn't Hell like… dependent on Lucifer?" asked. "Shouldn't the place crumble without him around? If the soul of the wretched aren't going to Hell, wouldn't they be coming here directly?"
Some worry started passing over the presents. Gabriel lifted two hands to calm them down, bringing up the attention back to him.
"This is not meant to be permanent" clarified, firm. "It's just until we have taken care of the threat. It could take a few days, at most. In any case, both Lucifers have heirs that can take the ruling of their respective realm until we can safely send them back. Not to mention the queen will still be there, so there shouldn't be any issue. Hell will keep standing and all the mortal souls that have chosen evil as their primary motivation will keep receiving the fate they deserve. We don't have to worry about another monster like the radio demon landing here with us. He and Lucifer will be properly handled on the other side."
Uriel still had something else to say. When Gabriel gave her the okay, she pursed her lips.
"Should we be really sending the exorcists to that other Lucifer after he… killed them all already? Isn't that just sending them to be killed again?"
"They are soldiers, they know what is up" apported Michael, irritated at the implication that they wouldn't. "Their only purpose was to go there and eliminate sinners. If they aren't doing that, they aren't playing their role anyway."
"We need a sure way to bring Lucifer out to be captured" explained Gabriel after a sigh. "On both extermination days, he came out when the princess was threatened. Both radio demons were also confirmed in the same place that same day. Once we are sure that is them, then we take them out of Hell to the other Heaven. They will be waiting for them there."
"I could be doing that right now if I wasn't here!" said Michael. "I know all this stuff already! I am ready to go!"
"You can't go without the permission!" replied Gabriel, elevating his voices before remembering that was bad form and forcing himself to calm down. "Apologies, everyone. I didn't mean to yell. But after everything I have told you now, I do hope you understand how dire the situation actually is. Not only Lucifer, but also that mortal soul that is now under his direct control. You all have seem the crimes this Alastor has commited, down to the creation of their princess that broke with the natural order of life and death. A sinner that already died shouldn't be able to reproduce, but they didn't care. They don't care about anything that is worth protecting. If that is how one single mortal soul under Lucifer can be like, then Lucifer can't be left to his own devices. We need to take care of this. Is everyone here present in agreement of Heavenly forces going to Hell to take out both its ruler and one of its subjects?"
There was no a moment's hesitation as everyone present lifted their hand. Michael's was one of the first. Gabriel lifted his own too.
"Then it's decided" said, finally giving Michael the go ahead gesture.
"Finally!" Michael sighed, standing up from his seat and dissapearing on his own portal to do his job.
It had been exactly five minutes since they landed on their right reality. The stones that the king brought were powerful, but tended to be imprecise, so when he wished for them to go to the hell they came from, it didn't account for the exact location and send them to the edge of the city. But as soon they put their hooves out the portal that open up for them, Lucifer knew it was the right place. The sensation of lightness from losing his crown completely dissapeared, his connection to that hell came back as if it never went anywhere.
Five minutes that they had to celebrate between the two of them, before going to the rest of their family, when suddenly an alarm could be heard the entire ring. Five minutes in which Lucifer allowed himself to think on making a feast for everyone at the hotel, on taking out the cannibal meat, on preparing the best dessert possible, before all of that had to take a seat away from him.
Even from where they were they could see the origin of the alarm. The big sand clock tower that used to mark each Extermination Day, taller than most building around it, so no one could ever missed it. The same tower that it was supposed to remain without use because they were supposed to be finished with all of that already. The clock itself that counted the hours for the next Extermination had stopped a while ago, but the alarm itself was working perfectly well.
Lucifer looked at Alastor and instantly knew he was aware of what that meant. Without losing any time, Lucifer opened up his own portal to the center of towen and passed through with Alastor hand in hand. The entrance for the exorcist had opened up as well as a bunch of the angels clothed in black came out pouring out.
The panic on the streets was evident. This was supposed to happen. Everyone thought this whole business of extermination was deal with already. Their king had told them so, hasn't he? People were trying to find refuge on any building, sewer, garbage can or place that could keep them out of sight. Even imps or other hellborn Lucifer could see were running to get out of the way. Were they always that afraid during Extermination Day too? Did they know that now the deal was off? That was never information given to the public, precisely to avoid any more panic. Lucifer felt almost embarassed to think that this was probably just the most logical response to such an event.
"They are going straight to the hotel again" commented Alastor at his side, following the trajectory of the exorcists.
They weren't even pretending to attack anyone else.
Lucifer barely had a moment to register his words when the figure of his husband started enlarging, growing bigger, heavier, until his hooves were creating cracks on the street. Some passerbies and cars ended up crushed as he made his way to the hotel. Lucifer teleported a few meters in front of the building, where he could see them approaching, commanded by an angel with a silver mechanical arm yelling her lungs out. Just how many of them they had in stock? But if he started asking himself question, he was never going to end.
"Do you want to play, little birds?!" called Lucifer, opening up a bigger portal right above himself. "Hope you don't mind I bring some fun of my own!"
A big black claws grabbed to the sides of the portal as Alastor pushed himself through. A ear piercing growl full of static noises was heard as the portal was stretched out, accomodating the massive demonic form of Alastor with his full wings out.
Lucifer flew up to grab at the black antlers, shooting down a pair of exorcist with finger guns. The first one let out a pained sound as the golden wound on her side bleed out, but the second one just passed through his attack like it was nothing. Because she wasn't really there.
"Some of them are not real!" yelled Lucifer to the ear that he had the closest to him, that twitched in recognition of his voice. "I can't see which one are or aren't without getting closer! I don't have the authority for that!"
Alastor growled to the sky and resolved if he couldn't see directly what was worth attacking or not, then he was just going to expand his attack range to cover up as many targets at once as he could. His long fingers closed around a bunch of exorcists as he closed his hands together on a crushing clap. When he opened up his hands again, only two bodies were bleeding gold on his palm, destroyed while their wings were barely twitching. Lucifer barely managed to kill another one real before another bunch more passed him through, dissapearing in thin air when touched. From the open portal even more coming in.
Alastor had seen a few reaching the hotel and let out a screeching sound. One so high pitched that cracked almost every windows at the hotel, but that was nothing that Lucifer couldn't repair later with a snap of finger. The little trick worked anyway to let him the figures that stood to hold their heads and complain at the sudden pain, unlike the illusions that kept going like nothing. There were definitely a lot more fakes, which made it all the more easy for Lucifer to point at the back of their heads or chest to take them out quickly.
Alastor walked to hold the sides of the hotel, that now was reaching only to his stomach in that form and flapped his wings as strong he could. The impulse of the wind pushed all the exorcists back, real or fake.
"Good thinking, babe!" praised Lucifer, still shooting as much as he could, before a protective forcefield started to expand over the hotel and rise up.
The exorcists that end up trapped inside were quickly delt with. Then it was just them, giving them a moment to breath.
"Lucifer" The voice of Alastor came out breathy, distorted. One of his hands applied to his stomach. "I need… energy."
It took a second for Lucifer to understand what he was actually saying. The baby was making him feel the limit of his magic.
"On it!" Lucifer flew down. Alastor moved his palm out of the way and Lucifer slipped between the space of his button, grabbing to the fur there like a presistent flea under the shirt. He pressed his entire body where he could see the white spot, until he was right above it. "Sssh, it's okay, sweetie. Papa is here. Dad just needs to protect your sisters for a little bit longer. Everything will be okay" cooed, sending his magic through his hand and making sure it was going exactly where it needed to. Above he could hear Alastor letting out a sigh, obviously relieved. "You got papa all worried for a moment there, little buddy. We just need to take care of those ugly birds and then you can both rest, alright?" He kissed the flat stomach in front of him, as if he could do it to the forehead of the baby already. "We are lucky that papa is so cool and strong, aren't we?"
"Alastor?!" sounded Husk from some window in the lower floors. Through the little space where Lucifer could see the outside, he saw the red and black figure passing by as he flew to reach the face of the demon. "Did Lucifer came with you?"
Lucifer wanted to respond, but the sigil still wasn't as brightly green as he felt comfortable with, so he stayed in his place. Make sure that their baby was safe was more important than answering questions.
"He is close by" responded Alastor. "Where are Charlie and Emily?"
"They were going out to see a guy for the stones! I assume that worked if you are here."
"So they aren't here?"
"I imagine they were on their way back when this whole bullshit started. It hasn't even been a whole year yet!"
Lucifer could feel the sudden change of movement from Alastor as he turned around. When he popped his head outside, he saw his husband lifting an arm to will the whole barrier down.
"Wait, wait, wait!" called, sending a extra amount of energy before he came out flying. Husk looked dumbfounded them to see him basically appear out of nowhere, but that wasn't Lucifer's focus now. "Babe, I can call them here! It's okay!"
Alastor lowered his arm and nodded, giving them the chance. Lucifer flew back to the ground and lifted his hand, searching through his connection with Hell the distinctive energy that made their daughter. Slowly, he started to get a mental image of the vehicle where they were. They were stuck in traffic on the highway, coming back from the palace. He opened up the portal in front of them and immediately turned the limousine off, so the wheels wouldn't move. Despite how careful he was trying to make the transition, the vehicle still bounced over itself when hitting the ground.
"¡¿Qué puta carajo está pasando ahora?!" yelled Vaggie through the window, face to face directly with Lucifer. She blushed a bright gold, almost covering her mouth. "S-sir…"
"Hey, Vaggie!" greeted Lucifer, genuinely happy to see her. "We are back!"
"Papa?!" was the scream that quickly followed up the opening of the front doors, just a second before Emily threw her arms around Lucifer and squeezed tight, as strong as she could. She was just as tall as Charlie so Lucifer's head still wouldn't reach above her shoulder. Up in Heaven angels were not used to physical affection, since they could constantly see each other's love as clearly as their faces. But down there in Hell Emily had quicly taken to that form of expression, easier than anything else. Only a moment later she separated to squish his face, taking a second look. "You are our Lucifer, right?"
"Yes, sweetie" managed to say Lucifer and then chuckled when Emily hugged him again, returning the gesture the best he could.
It was amazing to think it had only been months since he accepted her as another Morningstar, and he had truly missed her presence just as much as everything else. Home wouldn't have been complete without all of his daughters around.
"Dad?!" Charlie came out of the other side of the vehicle. The ground shook as Alastor made his way towards them. Suddenly all three of them were grabbed on the huge claws of Alastor and lifted to his face, nuzzling them. After Alastor let them stand up again, Charlie noticed Lucifer through her own tears. "PAPA!" squealed, running over the palm of Alastor and jumping to the other to reach him.
Lucifer also went to catch her, worried when he saw her stumbling, receiving her directly into his arms.
"Duckling" Lucifer laughed between his own sniffles when Charlie nuzzled her head against the top of his. Lucifer reached out with his tail to Emily, managing to get her arm to pull her closer. Charlie was openly sobbing now, while Emily was still trying to keep her cheeks clean. "I missed you two so fucking much, girls" Lucifer took a deep breath and pulled out his wings, with the full intention of wrappping his arms around the two taller girls's necks. He kissed both of their faces over and over, as if he could never have enough of them. "My favorite ducklings in the whole fucking universe. You have no idea how much I wanted to be back to see you all again."
Charlie let out a incoherent mess of sounds, holding onto to Lucifer like she had just wake up from a nightmare and was a kid again, needing the comfort.
"We missed you too" translated Emily.
Lucifer sniffled with a smile, bringing her closer. There other matters that required their attentions, but just for a moment he let himself enjoy this, just suck it all in the wamrth of his family finally reunited. The wagging of Charlie's tail and the presence of her cute tiny antlers on top of her head were never as comforting before, just like the freckles on Emily's face or the calm low white sound that signaled Alastor's content. It was like he was finally allowed to fully breath in, a weight he didn't know he was carrying up until then finally letting him go.
"I love you both" assured Lucifer, kissing their forehead as he took their hands. "When all of this is over, remind me there is something important, and good, we need to talk about."
"Lucifer" warned Alastor, frowning.
"It's a good thing!" insisted Lucifer, giving them a final, extra hard, squeeze. "For now, we have to take care of some birds. I know this is all coming out of nowhere for you too, so you can just step this one down. Al and I can take care of them between the two of us, right, babe?"
Alastor nodded. Charlie gasped.
"What? What are you talking about?" She pulled from the chest of her father to stare at him like he had suggested to throw someone out of the rooftop. "We are not leaving you alone to deal with it."
"Sweetie…" started Lucifer, but Charlie was already shaking her head.
"No, forget about it! I defended this place one time, I can do it again!"
"And I am not a small kid either" protested Emily too. "I know I haven't received any training, but I can still fight! You all have done so much for me, I should be able to do this one thing!" added, turning to Alastor's gaze too.
Lucifer groaned and looked over at Alastor, but all his hopes were squashed when his husband just sighed.
"We can't stop them, darling" said Alastor, going down in one knee to bring his hand to the ground again. "Very well, but if you end up hurt wait on a side until Lucifer can heal you back. Don't make it worse for you. Can you manage that, dear?"
"Of course I can! Papa will try to keep an eye out" assured Lucifer, helping out the two of them to jump out of Alastor's hand back to the floor. "Charlie, get your shield as fast as you can. Emily, don't get too far away."
As both princesses nodded their head, Vaggie came out flying from a window in the hotel towards them.
"I have it! I have the thing!" announced, landing next to Charlie to give her the shield. She already had her own spear in hand and offered a sword to Emily. "I am sorry, that was the only other weapon I had left from the last Extermination. The rest are just bullets or bombs. Angel and Cherri already grabbed those."
"It's okay!" Emily took the sword, holding it firm on her hand, even though her face was clearly showing how she didn't really know what to do with it. "I-I will manage somehow! I can do this!" said, making a pose that didn't immediately screamed hardened warrior ready to make head rolls.
The trembling of her legs was just the finishing touch. Lucifer bite his lip strong, resisting the urge to send them both back inside the hotel again. He already figured that it was going to be useless.
"Good luck, sweeties! Papa and dad are right here if you need us" said as Alastor was standing up again, carrying him only him now. "We are not letting any of those come close to them, right?" confirmed over his shoulder.
"Obviously, dear" Alastor lowered his hand when Lucifer pulled out his wings, remaining in the air by himself. "To be quite honest, I was wishing to see what a Lucifer allowed to fight during a Extermination is like so, in a way, this is ideal to satiate my curiosity. Until now I only had second hand words. Are you going to be as bloodthirsty as they made you out to be, love?"
"Oh, did you?" Lucifer smirked, lifting an eyebrow. "Then I better make sure to give you a good show, babe."
One of the claws of Alastor gently ran down the space between his wings, making him shiver and let out a small giggle.
"Can't wait" grumbled the monsteruous voice of his husband.
"Are you two seriously flirting right now!?" protested Husk, flying across the sky. "Don't we have better things to think about at the moment?"
"Glad to see you too, Husk!" answered Lucifer back.
"Yeah, yeah. Gonna serve you a sweet drink as a welcome after this!"
"I will hold you to that!" Lucifer smiled to Alastor, who was glaring to Husk as he reunited with Angel Dust in the ground. "Everyone is ready, babe."
Alastor nodded and lifted his hand. The forcefield around them started going down. Before it went fully down, Lucifer flew bye with his own claws stretched out to rip through the middle of the exorcists he could reach and make dissapear those that were fake. To those he did managed to hurt, Lucifer went through again to pull out their inside out.
"Babe, here!" called, dragging the screaming exorcists, each in one hand, until he could send them through a portal directly to the open jaws of his husband. The teeth of Alastor closed shut, licking his lips after. "How is it?" asked Lucifer, taking out the head of three exorcists and using the body of one of them to hit another.
"Not that strong. Keep them coming and maybe I will find one worthwhile" growled Alastor, swatting away an attack that was going to Emily.
She was wildly moving her sword around, barely seeing through half closed eyes, and let out a loud yelp when the sword end up piercing a surprised exorcist that was facing Husk.
"Sorry!" screamed at hearing the pained sounds from behind.
But she soon remembered what side they were on when the exorcist still tried to attack her with her own spear. Before there could be any contact, Lucifer appeared to perforate the chest of the exorcist with one hand and squish the golden heart in his fist. Lucifer send the dead body to Alastor, not before grabbing the sword to give it back to Emily.
"Sweetie, try not to lose it again, okay?"
"Sorry, I got scared for a moment" admitted Emily with a blush, gripping her weapon with two hands. She haven't noticed yet the splatters of golden blood across her face. "It won't happen again, papa!"
"Good girl! Papa will make your favorite dessert later!" Lucifer patted her head and flew away. "You are doing amazing, sweetie! Love you!"
"I love you too!" yelled Emily, running up to Angel Dust dealing with two exorcists at once. "GET AWAY MY HOME, YOU BUNCH OF FUCKING MEANIES!"
Lucifer sighed with barely contained pride. The feeling only lasted until he realized that he had lost sight of Charlie. Vaggie was still there, fighting, flying around some very long and langly legs covered by red pants. He blinked again, looking up.
"Charlie?" called, doubftful.
Charlie, now a lot taller of what she was before, screeched into the air as her claws break through the air, destroying fakes and real exorcists that fell to the ground where Vaggie could finish them off. Lucifer saw her smile stretched out across her face, now entirely surrounded by her green stitches, as her black antlers extended at the sides like long delicate fingers.
"The fuck?!" laughed, flying up close to her. "Since when is this a thing?"
Charlie finally noticed him and chuckled behind her stitched mouth. One of her eyes was glowing red with a slit yellow pupil, while the other was entirely if not for the red dot that followed where she was looking.
"Now, I think!" said, the sound coming out even if she didn't open her teeth. She grabbed a exorcist in her hand like a fly that was bothering her for a while and throw it to the floor. After Vaggie cut their throat, she turned to Lucifer again. "I just let it out I guess! How do I look?"
"Fucking awesome!" said Lucifer, sincerely. "Al! Alastor, babe, look Charlie developing her powers!" yelled.
Munching on the body of another exorcist he had caught on his hand, Alastor turned around and stood there, taking in.
"It's weird, isn't it?" said Charlie, now self conscious at the resulting silence. "I can't see my own face so I don't know really know."
The ground shook again as Alastor extended his long legs to them. He was still taller by two heads in comparison to Charlie, just like their actual sizes on their usual forms, so when he reached out his hand to Charlie's face up he still needed to bend to be at her eye level.
"You are, without question, the best thing I have ever seen in this or any other life" assured, leaving a kiss on her forehead. Which in that form meant a brush of his teeth against her skin. "I am so proud of you, my little fawn."
Charlie sniffled through her watery eyes and hugged the eldrich abomination that was her father, wrapping him up on her long skinny arms.
"Aww, this is nice" sighed Lucifer, when suddenly an arrow passed right at his side. Alastor grabbed Charlie back and moved her to a side, the arrow continueing its trajectory until it inscrustrated on the wall of the hotel. Lucifer looked down to himself, where he suddenly felt a new sting, and saw a long wound where that weapon had hurt him. "What the fuck" He wasn't supposed to be hurt by mere angelic steel. Only something much more powerful than that should be able to cut his skin.
When he turned around, he suddenly understood the reason and his stomach dropped down to the last ring in Hell.
"Al" called, expanding his wings as if that was going to cover his family. "Babe, I need you to take out Charlie, Emily and everyone else out of here."
"Papa?" asked Charlie. "Are you… hurt?" She let it out as if she never thought she would be saying those words.
"It's okay, sweetie!" Lucifer tried to give her a smile, coming out with a grimace instead. "Just stay with dad away from here, alright? I will come find you later."
"Lucifer" warned Alastor with a low growl.
"It's okay" insisted Lucifer, already moving up. "Just stay away for a bit. It's fine."
But he didn't feel fine at all as he approached the one had had shot at him and was preparing a second arrow, made entirely out of magic just like his bow. The archangel Michael narrowed his eyes when he saw him approach with his hands lift up.
"Lucifer" aknowledged the angel, lifting an eyebrow. "Not gonna lie, I thought I would have to go out looking for you."
"So this is whole bullshit is for me?" Lucifer chuckled without a trace of humor. "Kind of a waste of resources, isn't it? If you all wanted a meeting so badly, you could have just asked. I am a reasonable man, we could have seen something."
"After the stunt your companion pulled when he was given some grace?" Michael shook his head. "You are lucky that I am only instructed to take you with me."
"After what you made him go through, you are lucky he only killed one cherub" pointed out Lucifer, frowning. "Or what, you are going to tell me that he burned someone's favorite blanket?"
"Yeah, try to give one of you wretched souls a second opportunity. How evil of us" Michael rolled his eyes. "Whatever, I didn't came to debate."
"No, of course not. Just threaten my family and scare the shit out of my daughters. I can see why you are the good guys now" Lucifer allowed himself to smile at that, despite the fear that was insisting on gripping his chest with an iron grasp.
Out of all of his brothers they could have send, why did it have to be Michael? Not only the stronger among all of them, also the one with the hardest head that all of creation had ever seen. There was no reason to argue against with that being, just a direct order that had to be fulfilled.
Michael clicked his tongue.
"Still don't know when to give it up, huh? I guess that is exactly how you end up here in the first place."
"Hey, jackass" Lucifer spat, his lip twitching on the side. "I don't know if you noticed, but I am not fighting you, aren't I? If you only came for me, then fine, I will go. But call all your little buddies off first."
Michael looked at him, still with his hands up in the air, no weapon or shielf that his eyes could see.
"What makes you think you get to put the conditions here?" asked even then, crossing his arms.
"It's not a condition, it's a fucking courtesy" said Lucifer, tensing his teeth together. "If you want me to go with you, all of them were entirely unnecessary. You are all just causing a mess for the sake of making a mess, outside of any agreement or warning any of you ever gave. If I am cooperating, the least you could do is return the favor. Not to mention, maybe stop killing your own senselessly? Like, shit, you know I could kill them all again if I wanted to."
"Hump" Michael huffed, no doubt taking notice for the first time the stains of golden that Lucifer had sprayed all over himself, from his hands to his face and his chest. The only blood that was actually his was on the side, seeping into the white fabric of his coat. "They are not ours anyway" Michael shrugged easily, approaching him. Lucifer did his absolute best to not flinch when Michael extended some golden scuffs. "If you want to end this sooner, that depends on you."
As if he haven't done already that thousands times while trying to communicate to Heaven. He should have known he wasn't going to listen not even to that. But it was that or let this pseudo Extermination continue on until Michael felt bored enough to intervene as well, which wasn't an option at all. Lucifer lifted his wrist and Michael barely moved his wings on his direction, when an abrupt screeching sound made him cover his ears, pulling back.
Fuck, they had taken too long.
"Lucifer Morningstar!" was the growling of Alastor as he flew right to them.
"Oh, right. He was supposed to come to" commneted Michael, as if he did just actually remembered that detail, and if Lucifer wasn't already pale as paper, he would have turned into a ghost at hearing.
"What" asked, for the first time unable to contain his rising panic. "You wanted him too?! Why!? You already have me, why do you need him?"
"Right now? Because he is way too loud!" yelled Michael against the static sounds that were only getting more deafening with each second. In one blink of the eyes, Michael dissapeared out of his sight. When Lucifer turned around, he saw a quick flash of a golden portal opening just behind Alastor and suddenly Alastor jolted, still floating in the air because of intervention of Michael's magic holding him. "There. Finally I can think!" Michael sighed, brushing his hair back.
Lucifer teleported in front of him, grabbing the front of his white robes with long claws. On top of his head, a sphere of fire was burning between his horn as he stabbed Michael with a glare from his entirely red eyes.
"The fuck did you to him?!" demanded, puffes of black smoke and fire coming out of his mouth. "I swear for our father, Michael, if you hurt one single hair out of him I will make you pay with so much more blood I ever spilled."
Michael pursed his lips, annoyed by the whole display. Having him so close now, Lucifer once again was reminded of how small he was compared with his brothers. Michael still took him a whole head more in stature.
"I just send him to sleep, calm down" said the archangel, flickering his forehead. Lucifer groaned, showing his teeth. "He didn't seem in a cooperative mood, so didn't left me with much of a choice. Are you coming now or there is something else I have to deal with?"
Lucifer huffed black smoke out of his mouth, but one look at the giant sleeping form of his husband took his will to fight out of him. Alastor had no idea how close he was to having something so much worse happen to him. It could still happen if Michael got into a especially bad mood. Just because he was ordered to bring the two of them over, didn't mean that he couldn't take a few liberties as to the state they could arrive in.
"Fine" said, letting Michael go.
The archangel grabbed his wrist and put one of the scuff on.
"Wait! What do you think you are doing?"
Lucifer's blood ran cold inside of him at the voice. How could Emily's voice be reaching then when she didn't even had her wings out?
"Oh, come on" sighed Michael, rubbing his brow as Emily stand in front of him, holding her sword and floating in the air with a new pair of wings that looked darker and pointier than the one she would have originally, before they burned. In any other circumstance, Lucifer would have been proud to see her flying again, reclaiming her fallen atributes on her own terms like him had to do too, but now it was just making him dread even more the reaction Michael could have. "Hey, don't I know you?" asked the archangel, giving her a second look.
"Seriously?" Emily protested. "I have been in Heaven for thousands of years! I have been in countless meeting with you!"
"Mmmm. Yeah, I don't know what to tell you" Michael shrugged. He finished putting the scuff on Lucifer, pulling the golden chain that came out of it. "Hey, retreat!" called over to the exorcist. There weren't many of them left, but those that did came back through the portal, ignoring them just as much as the giant form of Alastor between them. "Now we can go."
"No, you are not!" Emily flew to them, lifting her sword, but stopped when Lucifer flew right in front of her. "But they can't do that!" argued before he could say anything. "There was no permit or agreement for this Extermination. If you didn't know about it, then they just invaded Hell and are now kidnappig the king and his consort! That is not fair!"
"Oh, just so you know, I totally have the permission of Heaven to be here" said Michael, now sounding bored. "I would have come sooner if it weren't because I had to get it before."
"Heaven has no juridisction over Hell!"
"It does if it's necessary."
"What does that mean?!"
"It means shut up!" Michael groaned, rubbing his face. "Luci, control your fallen."
"She is the princess of Hell, you won't speak to her like that" Lucifer glared at the archangel, who returned the gesture with the same intensity, until Lucifer turned his gaze first. He floated over to Emily and put a hand on her shoulder. "Sweetie, you have to come back to Charlie and make sure the hotel is still standing. We are going to be okay, but you have to let us go."
"This is kidnapping" insisted Emily, still indignant herself but sounding less secure now. When Lucifer didn't waver at all, her eyes started to plead before opening her mouth again. "Papa, we just got you. Both of you."
"I know" Lucifer looked at his hands, trapped on that angelic restraint. He resolved that fuck it, that bullshit was not going to impede him to hug his daughter and he lifted his arms to bring Emily between them, patting her back. "I will try to bring us back as soon I can. I don't know what they want, but at least it doesn't seem they try to hurt us for now. I need to you to stay here and be strong for Charlie, okay? Tell her I am sorry."
Emily, after a while, wrapped him back.
"Are you sure there is nothing else we can do? Maybe I can use one of the stones?" whispered in a low voice.
The stones that had gotten them in a bunch of problem already. Frankly, if Lucifer could stop just thinking on those damned stones for one whole day then that was going to be a true blessing for him. But more than that, the stones made from her falling were not as powerful. If Heaven was already to their wit's end to do all of this, then who is to say they couldn't escalate if provoqued? Just the fact that Michael was there was enough to worry him. No matter how powerful Emily was on her own, Michael more than likely be able to just whipe the floor with her and Lucifer would never allow that to happen.
"No, it's fine. We will come on our own" assured, kissing her cheek and lifting his arms again. "Save those stones for an actual emergency. It be over sooner than later."
Emily still didn't looked convinced, eyeing at Michael like she still wanted to get a swing at his head, but she did end up nodding.
"Treat them well!" said to Michael with a frown. "It would do horrible for diplomatic relations if the king and his consort are mistreated!"
"Good grief, you sound like Gabriel" Michael groaned, turning around to pull on the chain of Lucifer. "Let's go. If I am not going to fight everyone, then too much time I have wasted already."
Alastor's form floated next to them, back to the portal. As they were about to appear on the other side, Lucifer realized that Emily was still floating there and he send him a little wave. Before the portal closed, he was relieved to see her wave back.

lone star season 5 countdown tag game
grief week
thanks for the tags @lonestar-s5countdown @bonheur-cafe
To be honest, I saw the tag earlier and I was going to just ignore it because I have enough grief in my life to last *several* lifetimes... but then I saw other people's answers... and i want to play
I'll try to keep the trauma dumping to a minimum!
(1) Which character death in 911 Lone Star hit you the hardest? Both Gwyn and Gabriel fucked. me. up. Gwyn because it was such a cop out to kill her off because "lisa couldn't always be available to film". (It's called creativity Timothy, you use to explain characters' absence when actors aren't available) And Gabriel because I was 100% in denial that they'd go there right before tarlos were getting married - and I stayed up until stupid o'clock to watch live thinking it would be a cute wedding ep... AND THEN THEY KILLED HIM! It felt so unfair storywise too - what do you mean you kill off carlos' dad just when he's starting to 'repair' his relationship with him?! (and also I'd lost my mother less than a year before - after losing my father in 2011 - and was still dealing with the shitshow that followed so it all hit kind of too close to home)
(2) What is your favourite grief-related moment in the show? I hate all grief related moments tbh. I ignore them, fast forward through the scenes as much as I can when watching the eps. HOWEVER the moment before Gabriel's funeral where TK helps Carlos with his tie is so soft and loving, I hate that the least. It's such a small intimate moment but those can mean the world.
(3) Do you think there will be a character death in season 5? If so, any guesses about who it might be? Unfortunately yes - I think it'll be Grace to "explain" Sierra not coming back.
(4) Which living character's death would destroy you the most? Buttercup! I didn't even want to start watching until I was sure they weren't killing off the dog at the end of season 1. As for the ones on two legs - probably tarlos. And most of the Catan crew.
(5) Which character's childhood trauma do you think was most significant in shaping them? Probably Carlos. The stuff he went through with his parents when he came out, and then marrying Iris just so he could be the son he thought he had to be - that fucked him up. And the way his sisters talked about Gabriel as the loving father and him not having any memories of that...there's a lot of potential story there. Hopefully they'll at least touch on some of that with him joining the rangers in season 5.
tagging - i have no idea who has and hasn't been tagged so i'm just going to @ some people and open tag for anyone who wants to play
as always, feel free to ignore

I've recently come across a post or two about Chloé damnation again and it included the points "Chloé dismisses and disrespects Chat Noir because he's subserviant to Ladybug and therefore she treats him as weak and as badly as Sabrina"
Which got me thinking about how BADLY this looks when you don't just ignore Marinettes shit treatment of Chat Noir, degrading him as her punching bag pet and eternal scapegoat unworthy of effort and anything else so she mustn't make the tiniest compromise.
Like, if you actually wanna go that route that Chloe looked up to Ladybug and treats Chat Noir like Sabrina, then you can't just skip the step where Marinette's treatment of Chat Noir would obviously validate Chloe in her treatment of Sabrina since Marinette has herself be 24/7 and openly be celebrated and rewarded for treating Chat like a pet to take her moods out on.
Between Queen Banana and Penalteam, there is no way Chloé HASN'T picked up on that from Ladybug. Queen Banana makes a joke out of Ladybug taking her sweet time after Chloé threatened to have Chat Noir beaten into a pile of meat, and in Penalteam Marinette uncaringly leaves Chat Noir behind to be publicly tormented and humiliated by Chloe, just so Marinette can get an unnecessary whole team and play soccer instead of defeating the akuma because her EGO was on the line
In Penalteam, Chat is the one person Marinette never once helps despite knowing he's the one who NEEDS her because he TOLD her he doesn't know how to play soccer. Chloé was on screen fully aware that she can continue bullying Chat Noir however she pleases, Ladybug won't intervene.
These two episodes made that CANON. Chloe learned from Ladybug that Chat Noir is a pet who can be tormented and humiliated however chloe pleases, Ladybug won't do anything because that's how a great leader and hero behaves.
Of course that doesn't give Chloe a free pass from doing so or treating Sabrina like that, but people sure are cherry picking how Chloe having looked up to Ladybug affected her when it comes to Marinette's morally bankrupt scapegoating of Chat Noir.
There is an obvious connection here that people don't wanna acknowledge, but sure wanna play that card anyway.
---
And that's just one example of how the people listing Chloé’s sins should really be more careful, because Marinette has done at least half the same stuff as Chloé, and some of it worse. I know part of the time Marinette has good intentions, but one, that's only part of the time, and two, I’ve said repeatedly that Marinette’s good intentions should not take precedence over the harm she causes.
You can take this approach with a lot of villains, actually, where, if you start listing things that make them a bad person, you’ll end up with a list that’s at least 50% stuff Marinette has also done. It’s not that uncommon for the villains to reflect aspects of the hero, for there to be purposeful parallels between them that show how the villains aren’t pure evil or the hero purely good. But, like, Miraculous seems to do this accidentally, because these similarities don’t get acknowledged by anyone in universe, and the only times they do get pointed out, it’s to show Marinette as being equally good or better based on the arbitrary value of her being Marinette while the other character isn’t.
For example, the only time the show really draws attention to the similarities between Marinette and Gabriel, it’s to prop up her fashion designing skills, how much she reminds people of a younger Gabriel. Yet, when she’s doing the exact same things, devaluing Adrien’s emotions, shutting down his concerns and attempts to reach out and, as of season 6, actively making him miserable through her neglect, no one bats an eye and we’re just supposed to overlook it because she’s stressed and “has good intentions” and didn't mean to do it. Like, what do her good intentions matter when she’s doing the same things to her hero partner and boyfriend as his abusive dad?
I could make a whole list of how Marinette has done a lot of the same stuff as all the most reviled, "evil" characters in the series, but that would take a while, and I have other things going on than writing a dossier of all the things people insisting Marinette is morally superior to Chloé, Lila and Gabriel should keep out of the discussion.

Thinking about the angst thing you pointed out with triple trouble and I have an idea. Ever since Soren confronted Hadrian and Hadrian pointed out how Soren was a coward and all that, he’s been scared to meet Gabriel again so whenever he sees the warrior, he stays back and helps in ways that keeps him out of the picture like giving Gabriel materials, building things if they get destroyed whenever he’s not around, etc. He always makes sure that absolutely no one spots him, not even Ivor which is impressive considering how Ivor’s a ninja. The thing is though, Gabriel is well aware that it’s Soren because he would sometimes spot enderman hanging around and he knows Hadrian’s building style. However, he doesn’t mind or comment on it, if Soren wants to talk to him then he’ll wait as long as needed, he’s just glad that Soren is out and not always cooped up.
When an enderman returned with a block with a note on top of it that says thank you, Soren couldn’t help but cry.
Oh, that's actually a good one, dear Anon!
Surprised though someone actually pointed that out, but, ah, hear me out!
Gabriel was peacefully enjoying his moment of silence in the house, since both Hadrian and Romeo went out to gather some supplies for their "secret present" for him.
Remembering that, Warrior chuckled, thinking about how silly his boyfriends are. He still doesn't know if their presence in his life is a miracle or a curse. He wasn't alone anymore, actually almost never alone, but on other hand there was so much more chaos since they've become a thing..
Suddenly he heard a knock on the door. That's strange. Romeo and Hadrian always had keys with themselves, so who could it be? Stretching his arms a bit, he let out a soft "Coming!" before going to open the door.
Of course he wasn't ready for the guest he received there. His old friend, Soren, was standing and shaking a bit, probably from the rain outside. Hm.. he hasn't heard any rain when he was inside. Soren looked up at him, almost as if surprised he opened the door.
Gabriel took a step back, inviting redhead inside and closing the door after him. They didn't change any words between them, only an understanding silence. Warrior almost immediately took wet jacket from Soren, hanging it to dry out. He gently his head pocked to the kitchen, before going there, knowing for sure Architector will follow him.
Silence was hard, probably a bit awkward, but he knew better than pushing poor ginger to something. As always, Gabriel will give him his time to gather some thoughts and words. After all, he was famous for his patience.
"Thank you."
Gabriel hummed questioningly, taking two ready cups of tea and putting them down on the table, before sitting on the chair near the architect.
"For being so.. so forgiving as always.."
Soren didn't had a strength to look Warrior in the eyes. He was afraid to see there something he wouldn't like, but.. would understand — "I-i know the whole WitherStorm is my fault and- and the fact that I left you alone and-"
"Now shush there for a moment." — Gabriel shook his head, gently taking Soren's hand in his "I don't think WitherStorm is your fault. None of us do. If anything, all of our actions lead to that moment. We all participated in creating this monster that way or another." — he sighed, looking down — "We can't blame you or Ivor for that. If anything, I should be the one to apologize."
"What-"
"I should've known better than letting y'all go like that. Probably should've done more to stop all of those fights in the group. And sure as hell I shouldn't have let you lie about the EnderDragon."
"Gabriel, I- what? No." — the Architect gripped Gabriel's hand, forcing him to look up — "Please don't tell me you've been thinking like that since the moment Order split up." — something shiny brushed in swordsman eyes — "Gabriel, you're the only one who actually done anything to keep us all friends, to keep us- and people- safe. You're literally the only member who deserves to be called a Hero."
Soren shook his head, leaning closer to the Warrior and capturing him in a tight hug — "When I said thank you I meant it." — he pocked his nose into the crook of Gabriel's neck, feeling like swrodsman returned the hug with twice a strength — "You showed us who we were before all the "Hero" stuff. That we were friends. And even if we have some problems right now, we willing to fix it, and to made it up to you. Thank you, Gabriel."
—
It took some time for both Romeo and Hadrian to gather so needed materials. Being in mines, they were unaware of upcoming storm and literally run to their house, though they still got pretty wet.
Entering inside, Romeo was almost ready to call out for his future fiance, but quickly shut his mouth seeing the picture before his eyes.
Gabriel and his friend- Soren his name was?- were sleeping on the couch, hugging pretty tightly. Looks like ginger also got in the rain, huh?
Shaking his head, Romeo silently went upstairs looking for a blanket to cover them both.
Hadrian felt conflicted. Part of him wanted to tease Soren yet again, maybe remind him how he always leaves those who cares about him, including Gabriel. But other part told him to shut the fuck up and let his darling to enjoy moment of rest.
And so he did, after turning off the lights as soon as Romeo put on the blanket over two friends.
They silently went away in their room, fighting for who will be sleeping on the floor since there will be no Gabriel between them.
