rollo’s obsession began before he even met you face to face. this whole mess started with the notes crowley had sent about all the students coming to the symposium, in which you were of course included— listed as ramshackle’s magicless prefect. with rollo’s hatred for magic.. you had his heart the moment he read of you.

he still remembers how he felt when he finally spotted you through the crowd of your filthy classmates— thrilled and eager to speak with you, who he’s become so enamored with.

but for what type of yandere rollo is : he’s a mix of several. obsessive, worshipping, protective, and manipulative. quite dangerous.

we’ve already touched on his obsession, so i’ll skip to talking about his worshipping. as you’ve likely connected, he looks up to you so highly since he sees you as completely pure. it’s almost like he sees you as a god— but you’re being dirtied by the mages around you. a shame. he just wants to keep you away from it all— and that’s why i label him as a protective yandere.

.. he can’t really shield you from magic, though. you’ve already been exposed to it for probably nearing a year now, and are continuing to be so in the city. (the most he can do is separate you from your friends, who he sees as the biggest threats to you, at every possible opportunity.)

during the show— the magic tambourines, the fireworks.. he wanted to drag you away somewhere that you couldn’t see the disgusting display. somewhere that possibly.. there were only you and him; he refrained from it though. he’s so glad that after he releases the crimson flowers, he won’t have to worry about magic tainting you any longer.

now for manipulation. his main goal is to push you to share the same belief as him that magic is foul, which is tricky considering how fondly you think of it. but rollo is intelligent— and quite persuasive. (would his smarts ever be enough to convince you, though?)

though you can never catch a glimpse of emotion in that stoic face of his, he gets extremely flustered in your presence. whenever you look at him, talk to him, touch him, it’s just total chaos for him internally. even while standing a pretty far distance from you, his heart rate picks up— so you can imagine how he felt sitting right beside you during the show at the topsy turvy festival.

but to end this off; this silly little symposium lasts for three days. does rollo intend on letting you go back to nrc? no. he doesn’t. be prepared for whatever he might be planning to do to keep you with him. ♡

How do you decide on focusing on distance vs speed with jogging? I started jogging about 6 months ago and regularly jog a 10k with like a 14min/mile pace. Should I just keep doing that? Should I try to train for a half or do something specific to be faster? 🫂 really appreciate all your tips

HI! first of all, regularly doing 10k is A LOT and you're very cool for it (call me biased but I think running 10k at a slow-ish jog pace is more impressive than a very fast runner doing that same distance bc of how long it takes!)

if your objective is getting faster, and you already have the weekly mileage part down, you might want to transition into a training schedule! most of them follow the format of mixing up 1) "easy runs" (conversational pace / jog) during the week + 2) one "workout" (tempo run or interval run) + 3) a weekend "long run" which is longer than the others. Interval runs along with running volume (weekly mileage) are what really gets you faster in the long run. You don't have to sign up for a specific event, ofc, you can just follow a training schedule for yourself, but if there are some in your area I think it can be fun to have a deadline to train for and a goal to achieve. (Also I love the vibes of local races)

I think a 10k would be a sweet spot for you because it's a distance you run semi-regularly and know you can finish, which takes off a lot of the mental aspect of it IME, and you can give yourself a reasonable goal.

r/running FAQs. reddit running nerds use a lot of slang and a lot of that stuff in there is majoring in the minors. go straight for the information that interests you and ignore everything else. includes links to popular training plans

bare bones training plan with no specific goal. Based on your jogging pace, aim for 12:10-ish for the "tempo" intervals, and 11:15-ish for the "speed run" intervals. For the long run, keep doing what you're doing finishing 10k; the "workouts" will be considerably shorter in terms of distance. If you run more than 3 times per week, throw in a fourth run in addition to those the comment suggests, at your usual jogging pace, 3 miles tops.

speaking of running plans — I kinda went off on a small rant under the cut that may or may not be useful to you if you're a nerdy type. Otherwise, discard

IF you are of the geeky persuasion, I would recommend picking up ANY "running training" book at your local library (or on the high seas. hit me up!) just to figure out once and for all the various jargon you'll see floating around online. I can't stress enough how many of the training plans out there are just riffs on the same basic principles with slightly different philosophies — once you get it, that's it. There's such a wealth of information in the jock nerdy spaces of the internet, but there's also kind of a big entry barrier because everyone uses slang like "lactate threshold" and "marathon pace" and it's very easy for novices to get lost.

If you're the kind who likes to do their own research, I do recommend picking up a training book. It's great for the slang but also for understanding once and for all the reasoning behind why running plans are structured in a certain way, and how to tweak them to suit your needs + a lot of advice about recovery, nutrition post workouts, how to pick paces etc. and the science behind it. However: I can't stress enough how absolutely optional this is lmao. I guarantee you that most people who run 1) don't need an elaborate program and 2) would never dream of "reading" about it. But, many habitual runners rely on experience and trial and error, or maybe they did sport in school or are part of a running club, or spent a few years fucking around and finding out. Personally, as someone who picked up running knowing nothing about it and not wanting to risk injury, I've found that doing a deep dive into "Why do people recommend X and Y" has really helped me feel like I knew what I was doing. But you don't have to!

^ I hope this wasn't too confusing lol or that it doesn't make you feel like you have to do homework to enjoy moving around. You really don't! But if you want to switch to a more methodical approach and see results, I think it's worth looking into it

Design rant time !!

Jonathan Cranes backstory is the one where he lived with his great grandma and she terrorised the shit out of him, especially with birds. And he got bullied and all that too, and it all just kinda fucked him up. Eventually he ended up killing both his bullies and his grandmother, the events leading him to pursue psychology and study fear. Also he's from the south, I still dunno if that's ever been canon but I know it's a popular headcanon if it isn't. So yeah he's southern, although he tries to hide his accent (don't ask what state I don't know enough about American States to pick one).

So blah blah blah he moved to Gotham after university and he eventually became a Professor of Psychology, he then used his position to run experiments on "consenting" university students (he tried to argue they agreed to it, he failed to argue his point but he still made an attempt). Over time he developed his fear toxin (he didn't actually use fear toxin for a good few years) and developed the Scarecrow persona. During this time he also got fired from the University but managed to become a psychologist at Arkham Asylum which gave him ample opportunity to run his experiments. Eventually he expanded his experiments, using fear gas on a crowd at a currently undecided event to test it at a larger scale and a diverse range of people instead of just uni students and the mentally ill. However he got caught by Batman and became a patient at Arkham which obviously also got him fired. Nevertheless he continued his experiments although over the years a variety of factors have resulted in the Scarecrow persona almost becoming a second personality (he doesn't have DID just to clarify, this bit is more of a made up disorder on my part that's unique to him because his fear gas/toxin had a big part in its development, he's not immune to his fear stuff and whilst he tries to limit his exposure it's just not possible to avoid it). The best way to describe it is basically as Scarecrow his personality becomes harsher and under extreme circumstances and/or over exposure to his fear gas/toxin, he'll often disassociate and act more violent, mostly just attempting to do what he thinks is best in order to protect himself, it's similar in a way to a fight or flight response type thing I guess. It's basically just his brain attempting to protect him, it's really hard to explain what I'm thinking.

As Jonathan Crane he's reclusive with very few personal connections to other people. he can be cold and lacks empathy (not totally he still experiences a little), and often doesn't display much emotion, despite this he's still somewhat considerate of others. He's skilled in psychology and chemistry, and lacks fighting skills. He's persuasive and his knowledge of psychology makes it quite easy for him to get in other's heads. As Scarecrow very little is different, although he appears to completely lack empathy, has more violent impulses, and is generally more sadistic. Depending on the circumstances he'll either be more controlled and calm (when he chooses to slip into the persona), or he'll be impulsive and reckless, his actions reminiscent of someone doing what they can to survive (when he's forced into the persona, or further into them intended). Anyway at Arkham he gets the straight jacket treatment, also the mask whatever, he's never actually bitten someone they're just scared of him, he doesn't always wear the mask. When he's brought into Arkham he will often be more violent before calming down after a few days, usually they put him in solitary confinement for the first few days.

He began his crimes in his 30s and continues them into his 50s so he's like middle aged. He's aroace, also he's autistic, why? Because I say so, his special interest is fear lmao. Anyway he's close friends with Jervis Tetch and friends with Poison Ivy, friendly with Riddler (they have their issues), other than that he's mostly neutral with the other rogues. Also a note his body is covered in scars from the whole Grandmother terrorizing him with birds thing, the worst of the scars are on his arms and his back. Also he knits as a hobby, I just think that suits him. One more thing, he's 6'6" I just thought y'all should know that, he's stupidly tall. And that is all I have to say about him.

Despite his unwavering talent and passion, his parents didn’t care much. They wanted him to be something practical. 

If he wasn't going to be the heir, he needed to do something to bring their family name recognition and pride. They didn't understand that musicians are respected and can be well-known. They only went to orchestra performances where it's a group of musicians blending in with one another. 

For a short time, Daisuke stopped playing the violin and tried desperately to study law. If he was a bigshot lawyer, they’d have to respect him. He learned and learned, but his heart ached and longed for his violin and a stage. 

During a business ‘get together,’ 'ball,’ 'gala,’ whatever you wanna call it. Byakuya and Daisuke spent an evening together. Finding solace in one another, despite Byakuya belittling him. But Daisuke could see through the other’s rough exterior. If he really thought so little and despised him, he’d leave and speak to someone else. But Byakuya stayed. 

His night with Byakuya helped him, more than Byakuya may ever realize. Byakuya, in his own way, encouraged Daisuke to do what he wanted. With Daisuke’s current family’s hierarchy system, there was no way he’d be heir, and sure respect is nice, but, Byakuya would respect his tenacity and boldness if he broke his family’s hold and did what he wanted. 

After days of pondering over Byakuya’s words, he began practicing again. But this time something was different. He felt every note and movement of his hand throughout his whole body. 

When Daisuke told his parents he didn't care about their opinions anymore, they scoffed at him and turned their noses. But before they could write him off, he swore to become the ultimate violinist. He swore he’d make his own path with his passion, not with their money, name, status, or control. 

After his announcement, he started to change for the better. He was happier. He dyed his hair to his parent’s dismay, and tried harder to be himself. He stopped, well, stopping himself. 

Finally, Daisuke was accepted into Hope’s Peak Academy as the super high school level violinist in the 78th class. 

 once he got the news he informed his family, and following that, Byakuya. Only to find out that Byakuya was accepted as well. Byakuya was proud of Daisuke, but barely showed it. Changing topic quickly after a small compliment to question him about the hair color change.

Starting the 1st year of Hope’s Peak Academy 

Automatically Daisuke was enthralled with his classmates, interested in their vastly different talents and upbringings. He spoke to everyone who’d give him the time of day. He was outgoing and got along well with almost everyone in class.

His favorite person to annoy was Byakuya though. Having him in the same class was just excuse after excuse to be around him more. Daisuke adored byakuya. He’d flirt with him overtly and bring him flowers as often as he could. 

Byakuya always took the gifts but would question how the boy could afford to do this for him so often. 

Byakuya often lent his card out to Daisuke so that he’d have enough money to eat after showering Byakuya (and Etsuko) with gifts once a week. 

Byakuya was cold to Daisuke, especially in public. Barely reacted to the obnoxious flirting, aside from his cheeks turning a light shade of pink ever so often. However, he did appreciate everything Daisuke did for him. He loved seeing Daisuke smile, and knowing that he was safe. Byakuya’s mind would often travel back to how Daisuke was whenever they had met in music lessons, and during the gala in middle school. If he didn’t know better, he’d think there was no way they could be the same person. But Byakuya knew Daisuke surprisingly well, and the high school environment really gave Byakuya the chance to study the boy 

Byakuya was never really sure how to feel whenever he saw Daisuke flirting with others or coming in disheveled as if he had just gotten it on in the janitor’s closet or something. He wasn’t excited about it, and he’d usually be even more distant than usual with Daisuke on days when that occurred. Daisuke would notice the change in demeanor, and it’d bother him but he continued to do what he wanted. Daisuke thought if it bothered Byakuya that much, then he’d say something. He waited and waited for Byakuya to say something. 

Daisuke loved to play for Byakuya. Daisuke composed multiple arrangements specifically with Byakuya as his muse. Daisuke also prepared a song that both of them could play together. Byakuya on piano and Daisuke on the violin. Byakuya would always decline and just ask Daisuke to play for him while he read in the library or his personal study(or dorm)

Daisuke also became close with Leon Kuwata surprisingly. The two had similarities, they both liked fucking, and music. Daisuke helped Leon with reading sheet music despite the guy swearing he didn't need it for the guitar. 

They did attempt to hook up but Leon changed his mind after they began to kiss. Daisuke respected him and they proceeded to still be friends, though a little more distant after a while

OC crossover - During the first year in Hope’s peak, after getting to become friends with everyone, Leon and Yasuhiro throw a party Med-party Daisuke exits and heads to the music room to practice since the party seems to be dying down now. While he’s playing Etsuko enters, and listens to him play before complimenting him. Some back-and-forth banter and casual flirting later, they're against the piano and on the floor. 

Following this one-night stand, the two become even closer than just classmates. The two share inside jokes, and spend time together often. During times of stress and not knowing who else to turn to, they often lean on one another. 

One day Daisuke is stressed and panicking, Etsuko suggests the two go for a swim to destress. However, one thing leads to another and they’re doing it again. This begins the start of their secret FWB dynamic.

While FWB they are still friends, and do all the normal friend things. They get closer and closer without even recognizing it and often have sex for both fun/pleasure and for comfort or to destress. 

Eventually though, following a sweaty session, the two are making themselves appropriate for school. Daisuke looks down at Etsuko and suddenly realizes their closeness and bond that had formed. But his mind still traveled. He needed to get this off his chest. He tells her he likes someone else. She’s unphased and retorts with a simple “duh, me too.” 

This revelation causes the two to slowly phase out the benefits from their friendship, and begin focusing on who they each have their heart set on. They stay close and still reference the shit they did and the fun they had in the many locations. 

A month or two after the two had ended the sexual aspect of their friendship, Etsuko sadly transferred schools and moved away.

After Etusko left, Daisuke felt like that was the final push and sign for him to tell Byakuya how he felt. Even if he felt it was already obvious. 

Daisuke invited Byakuya into the music room and nervously greeted him. Standing beside the classroom’s piano while holding onto his violin in one hand and sheet music in the other. As Byakuya approached him with a skeptical look, the shorter of the two extended the paper toward him. A song composed by Daisuke, for both Piano and Violin to be played together. The two would proceed to play together after a back-and-forth banter, and afterward, Daisuke would confess his feelings to Byakuya– Fully expecting to be turned down, laughed at, or questioned if he was joking or not. Instead, his feelings were surprisingly reciprocated. Leading to a proper conversation about the status of their relationship, or the potential for one past what was present.

Dr. Caligari: Yes, he did all that. He defeated your assassins. He pacified the Roman world and expanded its borders. He began an era of prosperity and peace known as the Pax Romana. He was the greatest of emperors and the founder of a dynasty that lasted more than two centuries.

So my current obsession when it comes to miniatures games is Covus Belli's Warcrow game because it's doing some very interesting things that I wasn't expecting from this type of game.

I should preface this really quick by saying that the actual gameplay as a skirmish wargame is also really good. It's just complicated enough to give it enough depth while it's small enough that you're not going insane tracking everything. This is in part because it worked in a cardboard dial and uses a very easy "stack" system that's familiar to me as a Magic the Gathering player.

But the interesting part is that the intro box showed off how the system is narratively focused.

I should state that a lot of narrative wargames typically come down to tracking progress of your armies after battles, acting like a typical RPG leveling system and persistent battle damage, with a few fluff pieces in them. Sometimes you have things like Frostgrave where you're tasked with gathering treasure over fighting it out, but a lot of them end the fluffy gameplay there.

So imagine my surprise when the short 3 mission campaign for this box came with little story events that you read off when something happens in the game, akin to a TTRPG, and even had persuasion/intimidation rolls with an NPC during one of the missions if you didn't get an item in the first mission. Hell, the first mission, my fiance and I played ended with me driving her warband back from the farm we were fighting over, but me losing the mysterious magical item we'd discovered at the center of it.

Now, all this being said, those three missions are currently the only ones released at the moment for this game and the release schedule for the armies full rollout is rather slow at the moment (also this is a game system with its own dice and measuring tools), but this one has me fascinated so far.

I think due to the limited amount of what's out for it right now, it's going to take quite a bit of time for it to end up having a chance at being my regular game, but already it's got me thinking about what other games could learn from it. Definitely one to watch if you're the type that enjoys the storytelling aspect of games.

Pathfinder Gillman Race Conversion to 5e

Today is another entry for Kraken Week. Before, I did the boggard and turned it into a proper Pathfinder 1e playable race. This time I decided to do something 5e related and convert a playable race from Pathfinder with sea lore into 5e race to go along with the triton, grung, and other aquatic races.

For those who didn't see my previous entry, this week (July 1st to July 7th) is Kraken Week. It’s what will hopefully be an annual TTRPG event that was created and hosted by Point Hat and Ginny Di, and YouTubers come together and do videos on the kraken and other sea and water-based creatures. It’s going to be their version of Shark Week, but not just about sharks. It’s been encouraged for others to join in as well. Unfortunately, I’m not a YouTuber, so I’m going to be doing this via this Tumblr blog.

The gillman race I'm using as a base can be found in Pathfinder 1e's Inner Sea World Guide, among other books.

They are the creation of aboleths kidnapping and fleshwarping humans, and have a second name, Azarketi, because of their Azlant origin. Aboleths manipulated them for centuries, making them susceptible to aboleth influence, and eventually abandoning them, allowing the gillmen to finally experience freedom, but still unable to fully break away from the torturous manipulations of their creators.

Much like the grung, gillmen still require to be immersed in water for a short period of time or suffer from the ramifications. Unlike a satyr or yuan-ti who have a full resistance to magic and other effects (or just magic resistance in the case of the Monsters of the Multiverse updates), a gillman is only able to resist enchantment and illusion spells, unless those spells are cast by an aboleth. Overall, the conversion might seem strong, but some of the abilities are niche or limited in overall scope. That said, if the race never comes up against an aboleth, there's no concerns, but the same could be said about a satyr that never goes up against a mage, or at least very rarely does. And even then, spell attacks ignore that.

Overall, it's about as strong as an aasimar. At least in accordance to racial ability point breakdowns found online.

Also, if you're using the ability score and language rules from Tasha's Cauldron, feel free to ignore the listed scores and languages presented here. They are merely a suggestion based on the original gillman race.

Gillman/Azarketi

As a gillman, you gain the following traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Age. Gillmen age at much the same rate as humans, reaching adulthood at the age of 20. They live much longer than humans, however, often exceeding 160 years.

Alignment. Gillmen tend to lean more towards true neutrality.

Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.

Size. Your size is Medium.

Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Amphibious. You can breathe air and water.

Cold Resistance. Adapted to the frigid ocean depths, you have resistance to cold damage.

Limited Magic Resistance. You have advantage on saving throws against spells from the enchantment and illusion schools.

Poison Adept. You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the poisoned condition on yourself.

Taskmaster. You have proficiency in your choice of Animal Handling, Persuasion, or Perception.

Aboleth Vulnerability. You have disadvantage on saving throws against enchantment and illusion spells and abilities used by aboleths.

Water Dependency. If you fail to immerse yourself in water for at least 1 hour during a day, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion at the end of that day. You can recover from this exhaustion only through magic or by immersing yourself in water for at least 1 hour.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Aboleth.

once upon a time -

viviana never got to know her parents, though once she did meet her father, she understood why. her mother died during childbirth and her aunt raised her.

having known that vivi was in danger of being turned one day from the rumors around their village in romania, her aunt moved them to new york. she had thought the busy city would be a good place to hide amongst the throngs of people.

vivi grew a deep love of dancing when she was a child, certainly stemming from the flapper era that she was being raised in. that love sent her to a ballet school in london during the summer of 1944. it was there that she had received a call that her aunt had been murdered. when she went back to their home, she found a letter addressed to her in the event of her aunt's passing explaining the fears of her father finding her.

not sure of what else to do, vivi packed up what she needed and headed towards the west coast, thinking that she wouldn't be found. however, she was wrong. her father caught up with her in california and turned her into a vampire. not that she wanted a relationship with him, but it seemed he also didn't want one with her. he did tell her limited information on his plans to gain more power by extending his bloodline.

vivi wasn't sure when it would happen, but she knew eventually she would have siblings that she would be unable to warn about the man. that day came when she found a brother and sister, jinx and sorin, both created and turned by skender vasile.

despite the circumstances, vivi was thrilled to have siblings and took to them immediately. she gladly moved with them from place to place, eventually finding san arcadius.

Finn was born and raised in Baldur's Gate and has a good relationship with his parents but spent more time with his mother growing up since she was a stay at home mother. He has one sibling, a little sister named Aurora. They had a good relationship as well, and were sometimes a bit mischievous when they were younger. Finn left to be on his own after decided to be a druid, he occasionally visits his family before returning to where he lives (a treehouse). During the events of the game, Finn and Gale become friendly with each other. Finn is curious about Gale as a wizard and what happened to him, and Gale is curious about Finn being a druid and the healing abilities. By the end of the adventure, Finn and Gale end up dating and Finn follows Gale to Waterdeep where they now reside.

Tegan originally was in an orphanage in Baldur's Gate before being adopted by a loving human couple when he was still young. He always had a love for the arts and had a talent for it, he was a born star. Tegan learned to play a flute by himself before he was given a nice flute by his parents for Xmas. He started doing shows as a teenager and was very skilled in what he was asked to do. He moved out of his parents house but remained in Baldur's Gate once he became an adult and continued his passion for the arts. During the events of the game, Wyll managed to catch his eye, both during battle and at camp. Wyll seemed to be about the only person at camp to be able to understand Tegan on a certain level, and Tegan knew he understood Wyll on a different level than most. Tegan grew a fondness and even a bit protective over Wyll as time went on, especially after Mizora turned him into a devil. Tegan and Wyll charmed each other and then decided to stay together after Wyll practically proposed to Tegan towards the end of their adventure.

Can you be a programmed system if you have osdd instead of did?

There are four different categories used for OSDD. These can also be called ‘sub-types’ or ‘specifiers’.

The four categories are:

Having chronic dissociative symptoms such as identity alteration, but the alteration and separation between identities is not as severe as in DID. There may be identity disturbance, but not the presence of clearly separated parts or amnesia.

Having identity disturbance due to a long period of ‘intense coercive control and persuasion’. This includes the type of ‘brainwashing’ or control that can occur in cults, during political imprisonment or during torture. The most fundamental point to grasp about coercive power is that it employs the use of force. It aims to compel or force behavior rather than influence behavior through persuasion. Threatening employees with write-ups, demotions, wage cutbacks, layoffs, and terminations is an example of coercive power. The management must be able to carry out the threat in order to be effective. If failure to comply does not result in punishment, the fear of punishment becomes meaningless, if not detrimental, because employees may lose faith in the manager's authority.

What is Coercive Communication? The use of physical force during a conversation to compel an individual to do something.

Coercive communications ethical issue is abuse of power by threatening or oppressing people. Implications, double binds or dead ends, or exclusion and silencing can all be used to indicate coercion. Coercive communication is the use of one's position of authority or power to achieve aims by disabling others from dissent. It is menacing, despotic, and suffocating.

Threats or connotations of termination or defunding, as well as the exclusion of individuals or groups from critical debates or events, are examples of coercive messaging. Sending contradicting signals or generating no-win or dead-end scenarios are further examples. Coercive communicators utilize their position to intimidate, exclude, or inhibit others in order to achieve their goals.

Why is Coercive communication and ethical issue?

When coercion is utilized, one of the key ethical challenges is determining the appropriate balance between promoting good (beneficence) and inflicting harm (maleficence). There are few findings specifically related to justice in the included research. Some research concentrate on the moral anguish experienced by healthcare practitioners who use compulsion. Coercion is commonly regarded to have several significant implications, including that it reduces the targeted agent's freedom and responsibility, and that it is a (pro tanto) wrong and/or violation of right.

How to avoid Coercion Communication?

It is widely acknowledged that, in order to avoid coercion or undue influence,  processes should allot enough time to communicate a thorough explanation of the study as well as to give the prospective participant enough time to consider the information before making a decision on participation.

If you are a victim of this type of abuse, you can report it to the authorities. These authorities may issue a warning to your abuser, or they may prosecute or penalize them for the offense committed.

When speaking with them, maintain a neutral stare, expression, and tone of voice. Don't allow your emotions control you. Make it obvious that you are committed to working with them, but that your boundaries are non-negotiable.

Social systems provide standards for member behavior and frequently define punitive consequences for nonconformity. Confronting and indicating the intent to penalize a rule breaker, on the other hand, can be a potentially face threatening and volatile situation

Drawbacks of Coercive Power

The sort of leadership has a direct impact on the well-being and development has resulted of the members. The application of coercive authority over time can breed anger and reprisal, therefore this triggers  protests.

Fear of punishment can absorb individuals , decreasing there personal strength and leaving no room for the joy of invention or innovation when you are constantly threatened.

Using threats to enforce compliance only when they are present to oversee, because there is little incentive to continue if no one is observing.
