“Dada?” your two year old daughter asked as soon as she woke up from her nap.

“Baby, daddys out with uncle Jack and Luke on the boat, he’ll be back soon!” you whispered reassuringly to her as she tried pushing her hair out of her face. “Dada back soon?” your daughter repeats and you just nodded saying, “yes baby dada be back soon”.

Your daughter kept asking for Quinn, and knowing she wouldn't be able to fall back asleep without her dads cuddles, you took her outside to wait on the back deck. 

Soon enough, you saw the boys pulling up to the dock. Your daughter was all babbles and giggles as soon as she spotted her dad stepping off the boat. She quickly sat down at the edge of the deck steps scooting the rest of the way down the stairs. 

“DADA!” she squealed toddling into Quinns outstretched arms. “Hi baby,” Quinn coos, picking her up off the ground and holding her tightly. You could hear her giggles all the way up from your spot on the deck as Quinn started kissing her cheeks. 

“How was your nap?” Quinn asked and your daughter started babbling loudly, as if she was trying to explain some complex dream. “Yeah? That good huh” Quinn chuckled, smiling down at his precious daughter in his arms. 

“Aye there’s my girl!” Jack called out as soon as he caught sight of the little girl in Quinns arms.

“Unca Jack!!” Your girl screamed in delight as her uncle Jack took her out of Quinns arms and began to spin her around. “Wuke wuke!” she screeched out as soon as the spinning stopped. 

Luke walked up to his brothers and the little girl made grabby hands for him. Luke scooped the girl out of his brother's arms and ruffled her hair. “What are the plans for the rest of the day?” he asked his brothers but was quickly interrupted by a small voice shouting “ice cream! Ice cream!” causing all three boys to laugh.

“Whatever you want kid” Jack said, moving to ruffle his niece's hair just as Luke had done moments before. 

After some ice cream, everyone was back out on the deck watching the sunset. Your daughter sat in Jack’s lap, leaning into his chest as her eyes kept fluttering shut. “You getting sleepy?” Jack asked the little girl who nodded and rubbed at her eyes tiredly.

“I go to dada now?” she asked, looking up at her uncle. 

“But I want to cuddle!” Jack jokingly pouted at the little girl, causing her to frown. “Dadas better unca Jack!” she said as if Jack should have known that his brother was way better at cuddling.

Jack just laughed out an okay as he passed your daughter back over to Quinn. “She said you're better than me at cuddling” he pouted again for dramatic effect.

Quinn wrapped his daughter up in his arms and rocked her back and forth, “what can I say? She loves her dad”. Quinn smiled down at his daughter as she started snoring softly in his arms.

Telling him that it's just his own reflection isn't going to do shit, he tries to defend you from this big monster but gets too rattled and runs into your skirts. (Luckily he might get preoccupied with your scent under there esp if you're ovulating...)

As someone who has never even touched ATLA (anime), and has only ever seen the movie, let me give you a list of reasons why i absolutely adored it :

LET'S GO THEN

there are SO many things i want to say about it. it's literally been my white whale since it was announced as a cut scene. i was hopping one of the scenes op talked about with jace was that i'm sooo happy it was. my main reasons were that 1) it's a jace/rhaenyra scene and those are always juicy and 2) jacegon reasons. i'll be using text from the original post here btw.

"Daemon fights like an unrelenting tempest with little regard for his well-being [...] Daemon hungers for war, and he'll have it one way or another"

I love that the scene begins with daemon fighting other knights and in a sort of frenzy. he's obviously expressing his grief over viserys and visenya both, and how angry he is about the situation. i think it's such a great contrast with how rhaenyra and jace are presented in comparison. jace finds rhaenyra in "deep contemplation" as she watches over daemon. it's such a great element in their dynamic because as much as rhaenyra doesn't want war, she's as angry and as grief-stricken as daemon, but cannot express herself in the same way for fear of losing her image in front of the other lords. daemon has always been her outspoken twin, he's her sword and shield and like a dragon he's expressing what she cannot. it really is so good how they represent one half of a whole. delicious.

then jace comes to her and says

"Daemon wants to fight for us."

SO interesting that earlier in the episode we have jace and daemon in explicit opposition. daemon wants to act, jace is heeding rhaenyra's orders of not doing anything except by her command. daemon obviously doesn't respect him because he's a man who respects actions and jace is still a boy without experience neither political or in a war. i'm in the camp that while jace also doesn't respect daemon nor wants or likes him as a stepfather/father figure, he accepts him as part of the family and implicitly feels safe in his presence. he is his siblings' father, the man who raised (loosely! daemon is still daemon <3) joffrey when harwin and laenor died. he's known him for six years and seen him every day.

this scene is also after daemon threatens the KG in front of jace with caraxes so i think a minimum of respect for daemon's war knowledge made jace trust the he would do anything for rhaenyra and her children. /he wants to fight for us/.

"I wonder. Will you?"

"will you?" SO delicious because while jace will heed her commands to stop daemon from plotting, he does NOT agree with her approach! very very interesting. makes sense when he says "send us" when all rhaenyra wants is to keep her children safe. obviously direct parallel to ep 2:

"I will always fight for my family... but this is not as simple as one of the other"

rhaenyra is understandably reticent to enter war full on. her first experience with it has her losing a baby. and added to this is that just /the day before/ she's spent and more or less amenable afternoon with both family. it's not easy when it's not what viserys would want and what could possibly be his last wish.

it's also about alicent of course. it's not easy to give the order to kill or imprison the woman you considered your best friend and who probably is one of the few people with whom rhaenyra had a deep relationship in her life.

"It could not be simpler. If you accept Aegon's terms, you will forfeit my life. And Luke's and Joff's."

another crash between them! as much as they are a lot alike, they butts head more often than not, esp when jace doesn't agree how rhaenyra is handling an issue like harwin's funeral and now the war. but in all this, he still supports and respects her because he very pointedly questions her in private, both in driftmark and in here. when he was younger, he could've confronted her in public out in the yard, but to me jace learned very early or assumed to himself that he could be (and is!) her mother's most steadfast ally as her heir and young prince and that meant playing the politics game, and in this case to question her in private rather than in public where he could undermine her.

it also comes from the very public humiliation the kids, and jace as the eldest and most cognizant of the situation, have faced by their peers. he knows the power of rumors and whispering, what it does first hand and would not and does not want rhaenyra to face them too, or at least not from something he could've avoided. in this scene he is acting like one of her loyal lords, advising her to take one way or the other. acting like the prince he is.

it is also very interesting that he mention's "aegon's terms" when it's very obvious the terms came from alicent, maybe he doesn't know the full extend of the conversation on the bridge. in any case, it's clear aegon's on his mind. in early 2023 all we knew of the scene was that jace said "we shouldn't trust the usurper". jace wants to know what is to be done about him because he knows how aegon is, how long aegon holds grudges and his negative attitude (indifferent more like) to renew their old bonds (ouch!). esp after last night's dinner where aegon couldn't wait to bother him and join aemond in the antagonism to jace's immense dislike.

he thinks that if aegon had the chance he would kill them because they represent a risk to him claim. i personally don't think aegon would, but it's a real risk that jace is aware and that rhaenyra doesn't seen to grasp.

"Rhaenyra looks at him quizzically." "If you do not claim the throne, we will be taken hostage, or sent to the wall, or put to the sword. I do not know which fate will await us, but I do know they will call us "bastards" first."

the first line kills me because out of context it makes rhaenyra look naive but i think it does make sense for the rhaenyra we see in the bridge. what i said earlier, she's still reeling from the alicent from the diner /the night before/. the alicent that proclaimed her a good queen and begged her to stay with her. it's difficult! but i think it shows very well how complicated her feelings are in this.

this is also the point were jace and rhaenyra start having two different conversations: rhaenyra is still absent, "deep in contemplation", while jace is pushing and pushing. he wants answers, he wants to act! he doesn't care about alicent the queen who always sneered at him and called for luke's eye, he wants to ask about the boy from his childhood (girl, the parallels) who betrayed him so many times. and he's right! i think he's trying to soften the blow, this is the second time he's said he and his velaryon brothers will forfeit their life if they lose, if rhaenyra fails to act. this talk is also driven by self preservation and it's why he's siding with daemon this time. it kills me that rhaenyra has comforted luke all ep 10 but because jace is presenting himself as an equal in this conversation, not as her son, he doesn't get any kind of comfort. he's clearly thinking of death. and he's sixteen. and his mother doesn't know how to comfort him.

in this case, it's jace wanting rhaenyra to see him beyond of what he presents. beyond the perfect prince who's pushed through earth-shattering revelations about his identity. he wants her to see him and answer for once.

"but I do know they will call us "bastards" first". this jace knows with certainty. they might kill him or they might sent him to the wall, but they will call him a bastard as they do it. this is one of jace's touchiest points and weaknesses. every time he's called that he's flipped, due to under processed anger issues (hii harwin) and the repression he's going through to Just Not Think About It. i think it took a lot from jace to say this to rhaenyra's face. the first time it's when he confronts rhaenyra after harwin leaves and you see it's something he has thought about for some time

and later when they are in driftmark where the passions are high

note that he doesn't yell the word. he whispers it to her. he knows the power of it and how angry rhaenyra would become, it's a key word there. and one here too. in the cut scene he's trying to get... let's say a rise out of rhaenyra. to make her understand what will mean for them to get captured. to me it's so visceral because i don't think jace had ever consciously said or thought himself in such after driftmark and after aegon's betrayal. and i don't think that is how he framed it for luke when he told him about their parentage either. even in the audition for child luke, jace's lines frame the issue differently: "I think he thinks we don't belong here [...] we don't look like Targaryens. You must have noticed".

"Alicent gave her word that you would be treated kindly."

they are NOT having the same conversation!

"The word of an usurper means little and less."

either aegon or alicent, jace doesn't trust their word. the king and queen are one power in paper, but i bet jace is thinking about this too

his words means little and less to jace, he who was a victim and at the same time someone who enabled most of aegon's bullying behaviors. he knows him best. but jace also knows that aegon wouldn't bother with lies either. he was trying to unite the family during dinner, but time has shown him he shouldn't have bothered to carve himself to be someone aegon liked anymore. from the same audition video jace says: "so let us be good sons and please those who love us so they may forget what we lack". aegon will never forget! and even if jace or aegon want to break from this, they must play their part because they are too far along.

"In the yard below, Daemon can be heard SHOUTING for a fallen knight to get up and to come at him again. He prowls the fighting ground like a tiger protecting his den. He calls them out, taunting them -- a cruel avenger."

once again daemon as the externalization of their anger! "like a tiger protecting his den"!

"Jace and Rhaenyra reach stalemate; the conversation ends in silence."

my favorite part! this conversation could've never reached anywhere with these too. the issue is too thorny and they are too alike to want to see the other completely. jace is too angry and rhaenyra is too detached.

all in all, i wish they had kept the scene. it furthers rhaenyra and jace's relationship and gives a little bit more of characterization to jace and his relationship with aegon. loved seeing jace oppose rhaenyra and at the same time support her and take the lead when it's needed.

rewatching Hill House with lewis and god like. thinking about how luke as an addict has NONE of the same fancy treatment that Nellie gets, we don't see anyone delving into the underlying REASONS he is an addict

and not just the poverty compared to his siblings but like

the trauma of hill house. we see nellie seek out a fancy sleep therapist in a sleek beautifully made up office, and separately is in a sleek fancy psychiatrist's office and speaking to him in one on one sessions

because luke is an addict he doesn't get that. because luke is an addict and is automatically blamed for everything BECAUSE he's an addict, bc he's automatically seen as evil and Wrong inside, everything is about what HE'S done wrong, the amends HE needs to make

and of course he's fucking hurt them, but a heroin addiction doesn't come from nowhere - esp bc we see him as a young boy with bad vision who struggles with his letters in a way that his sister doesn't at the same age, who comes off as quite a bit younger than nellie in some ways

yes, he's naïve in a way that nellie isn't as a child (although they obviously swap roles as adults), yes he doesn't do well assessing risk, but like

the thing about that is that. theo has a PhD in behavioural science or whatever

shirley is a mortician, steve is a successful author, nellie is a fucking PHOTOGRAPHER and like

nell is also naïve as an adult but bc she has that creative streak she's able to cobble whatever living together and access fancy care

but luke? steven basically laughs at him when they talk about him being able to write a story and the work being good. no one cares about luke. everyone is frustrated with nell's naivety but she gets a lot of slack that luke doesn't because she's not an addict

and i just think about how. luke doesn't get into art or a fancy career like any of his siblings do. he doesn't find a focus or an obsession. he doesn't develop support or loving connections. he's there, ripped open and traumatised like they are, with nothing to stem the wounds

of course he turns to fucking heroin. what else does he have? and then what little he DOES have goes down the drain as he spirals further and further, he steals from his siblings, he erodes those relationships to nothing, they see him as an inconvenience, they treat him cruelly

like. real talk.

can luke, as an adult, even fucking see very well?

so i think we in asoiaf fandom should all be agreed that barristan selmy is the westerosi obi-wan kenobi as an exiled knight troubled by past regrets and playing fast and loose with technical truths while sporting a white beard and using an alias barely any different from his actual name. but that's not the only grrm creation with a corresponding george lucas creation....

when maester aemon tells sam of the baby switch only after sam can't understand why gilly is still crying by saying jon's heart just hardened when sam made him lc, as if he had nothing to do with it, he gives me similar vibes to yoda's response when luke asked him if vader was truly his father, being all "rest i need now" trying to use his dying to escape the hard questions. then when yoda finally answers luke he quickly changes the subject to luke's fault in fighting vader before he was ready. i mean i understand why aemon didn't crush sam further by revealing his part in the baby swap plan and all the kill the boy shit, esp when they were all each other had by then. so i guess he can't really be blamed for that, but it is still misleading his protege and shifting blame in a pretty big way. also yoda and aemon are both the oldest naturally living characters in their stories and seen as the wisest too.

then ofc there's jaime lannister as a r-rated luke skywalker, a blond knight actually fucking his sister while knowing they're siblings, son of an evil lord, wearing white when we first meet him, seen as too impatient and hungry for adventure, and then losing his swordhand through a mistake of his father's and having to contend with a beast in a pit when trying to rescue a friend. there's also some of han solo in coming back just in the nick of time for the big rescue after first leaving his traveling companion behind for his own ends, with all that character growth to find something to believe in. but i think jaime would have serious disdain for han's stance that a lightsaber is no match for a good blaster. that's just the sw version of crossbows vs. swords, isn't it?

as for anakin/vader, there are plenty of woobies who could be finding their redemption, but when it comes to also being an effective and fearsome villain, i think only sandor "the hound" clegane really qualifies. (as opposed to jaime repeatedly failing to kill children or theon getting no respect as an ironman or as reek) plus, like anakin, sandor has terrible burn scars, a distinctive and singular helmet later stolen from his grave, wants revenge on the brother who burned him up, and he cries a lot.

darkstar is obviously the jar jar binks of westeros, the character whose appeal was greatly overestimated by the george who created him while most of the fandom simply finds him ridiculous and annoying.

then there's ned stark, a leader who always dresses their best to impress for the occasion, who knows how to govern his home in the outskirts but is out of his depth as a politician in the big city where his ideals are out of place in a corrupt court, trying to prevent a civil war which has already been planned behind everyone's backs for years, and is ever forgiving of a man all too willing to murder children. that's padme, baby.

My theories on The New World of Steam

Everyone is already in the loop, right?

New Layton game for Switch, name is “Professor Layton and the New World of Steam”, we know basically nothing and all we have for context is this wallpaper:

I have two theories about possible settings.

The less likely one: AU. That’s the quickest way to explain all the changes in the designs: they aren’t the Layton and Luke from our universe, but some kind of alternative universe even more steam punk than the original. This also would explain any possible change in mechanics that the Switch required and it would give them absolute freedom over the timeline. No need of wrap heads around any convoluted timeline: Layton and Luke would just be Layton and Luke exactly as Holmes and Watson are always Holmes and Watson regardless of the setting. This one would also explain why Luke is blonder than usual (Im not the only one seeing it, right?), and why the game is called “New World”.

The most likely one: The America Mystery. The Unwound Future cliffhanger, solved at last. “But why not literally any other point of the Layton timeline, Rucy?”. Here’s the evidence that supports this train of thought:

Luke’s design: Our blue boy is missing the cheek blush! And he’s gotten tall! Compare these two shots. NWOS Luke looks way more like 15yo Anime Luke than he does to 13yoish Original Trilogy Luke. (Layton for scale)

Given the facts that NWOS Luke is still in posession of his cap and that I will punch Hino if he makes Layton leave Kat alone as a baby, I’d say we have a 14ish yo Luke Triton in our hands! So this would put us 1 year-ish after UF and 1 year-ish before Kat is born. The year Lucy is born, I guess.

The title of the game. You might have already read me saying this, but, so far, if it’s japanese and starts with “Professor Layton and”, the only English word allowed is “Layton”. Ocarina is not allowed, hence “flute”. Azran is not allowed, hence “super civilization”. Thus, the word “America” isn’t allowed in the title. But check out what the dictionary says on its entry about the term used “shinsekai”: 1. New World (esp. the Americas , but also Australasia). This might be another instance of “we prefer to use a roundabout japanese word”!

So far both theories have pros and cons and questions like “why would America be running on steam if the Laytonmobile, widely regarded as an old car, runs on gas??”. But, hey, we’ll find out! I can’t wait!

or like you both being really excited for christmas break and counting down the days or something every morning when you see eachother. like you'll walk into his arms and be like "3 more days !! 😊"

going to shitty highschool parties with him

driving him to school and you stopping to get coffee and donuts or bagels and jamming out to loud music WAY to early in the morning

or one day you roll up to school with his usa hockey sweatshirt and sweatpants on and he's just like 😐 "i've been looking for those"

him guilt tripping you about how much the cafeteria food sucks and how you need to share your home packed lunch with him because he's a "growing boy who needs food" and you grumble and throw your plastic bag filled with goldfish at him

or you don't go to school one day cause you're sick and he's just texting you like "baby where are you?" and then he's mad that you didn't come to school cause he misses you (but he obviously stops over to cuddle you and make sure your okay)

or on game days he leans over to you in class and whispers (not so quietly) "you gonna come to my game later?" and you roll your eyes and respond "when do i ever miss them?" (also in a not so quiet whisper) which causes the teacher to yell at the both of you to be quiet and you both have to stifle your laughter and not look at eachother or else you WILL start cackling

in one of your classes together you have to present and he's just giggling about how nervous you are and he can tell that you aren't looking at him because he knows if you do it's going to make you laugh

teachers yelling at you guys because you're constantly laughing and talking. bonus when they have to separate you guys across the room from eachother but it doesn't work because you guys are still talking to eachother

during spirit week you guys dress up together in dumb little costumes to match the themes

something funny happens in class that no one else will see but the two of you and you guys are doing like that silent laughter (the best kind of laughs)

his friends poking fun at you if you wear his clothes to school or when you guys hold hands or when he kisses your cheek

the both of you going to football games and being HYPE in the student section

seeing him after games and giving him a huge hug because he did so well

him forgetting to do homework and begging you to let him copy off of yours

him facetiming you when he's doing homework and doesn't understand at all how to do it

being besties with ellen because she's the one housing alex so you see her fairly often

all the ntdp boys love you like a sister (esp jack bc u see him the most: so do luke and quinn)

you guys are texting eachother all the time in class and he is not as skilled as you are about hiding his phone from the teacher so he fairly often gets it taken away by the teacher

hihi, here it is !! personally, i feel like lukes an awkward little bean so it was so weird for me to write this, esp bc it was my first time writing for him so i just HAD to include his brothers. sorry if its not what u were expecting but i tried my best, i swear <3

you were at the hughes household preparing lunch for yourself and the boys when it happened. you don't know what you were thinking as you were cutting the meat, but you accidentally sliced your finger open.

the cut was deep, and you were in a state of shock so you didn't feel it at first. jack was coming over to the kitchen to get a cup of water when the pain hit you.

"hey, y/n. what's up?" he asked while filling his cup.

you opened your mouth to speak but you couldn't get anything out. it was when jack turned to you, confused as to why you didn't reply, that he found out something was wrong.

"holy shit! y/n, what the fuck happened?" he rushed over, grabbing your bloody hand and staring at you for an answer.

"i-i don't know," you replied, silent tears streaming down your face.

"we've gotta get you to the hospital."

"no," you shook your head instantly.

"y/n—"

"i d-don't want stitches, quinn. where's luke?"

jack stormed into the room, phone pressed against his ear. "call me right fucking now, luke."

on the ride to the hospital, you found out your boyfriend had gone out to do something. he wasn't answering any calls and jack was getting extremely frustrated. he hung up on what you assumed was luke's voicemail very aggressively and you would have laughed if you weren't so scared. who still checked their voicemail box?

"ms. y/l/n, the stitches are necessary. the cut's very deep and it may get infected," the nurse told you.

you shook your head, bottom lip wobbling. "n-no, i won't get them. please, i don't— i don't want them, i'll be fine."

then your phone rang. it was with quinn, who looked at it and noticed it was his brother before accepting the call and handing the phone to you in your free hand.

"baby, what happened? what's wrong, are you okay?"

"i just need you," you replied in tears.

"okay, don't worry. i'm not too far away, i'll be there soon."

after the call ended, you pleaded with the nurse to wait a little bit longer. she agreed and the two brothers took a seat on the uncomfortable chairs while waiting for their immature younger brother to arrive.

they were both upset because it had taken luke almost an hour to call back and they knew you wanted his comfort. you were sitting in the hospital bed crying while waiting, and they scowled at him when he bursted through the door and rushed over to your side.

"hey, baby. what happened, are you okay?"

luke wrapped you into his arms as best as he could. it was a bit awkward due to his height and your seat on the bed but you couldn't care less.

"i need t-to get stitches," you informed, sniffling.

"why, how did this happen?"

"i cut myself while cooking."

"you should have been paying more attention—"

"luke!"

he whipped around to turn to the brother that yelled at him. "what?"

"you're not supposed to say that, oh my god," jack tugged at his face, in awe of his younger brother.

"have we not taught you anything?" quinn asked, rolling his eyes.

"well, get out of the fucking room and maybe i'll be of more help, thank you very much."

they both scoffed but walked out, leaving you two alone as you waited for the nurse to come back. you scooted over a bit to let luke take a seat beside you. he wrapped his arm around you and you rested your head on his shoulder.

"i'm sorry i wasn't there," he apologized softly, rubbing circles over your skin.

"it's okay, i don't know what i was doing. i'm just really s-scared, i don't want stitches lukey. they're going to hurt."

"baby, i promise it won't hurt as much as you think it will. i'll be by your side the whole time and everything'll be okay," he reassured, kissing the top of your head.

"let's wipe those tears away," he added, using his fingers to dry the wetness on your face. "there we go, that's the pretty girl i love."

the nurse walked in and he squeezed your arm, letting you know everything would be okay. in the end, it really wasn't as bad as you thought it'd be. when you got home, he smothered you with affection and gave you all the cuddles you wanted.

No thoughts, just Beru singing La La Lu (search it up, it’s an old lil lullaby that reminds me of baby Luke) to a little baby blond boy his entire life. When she’s gone, Luke sings it to his younglings, tucking them lovingly in bed while one very enamored Mandalorian stands by watching, trying not to cry and propose right then and there.

Gods that song is so beautiful! And Beru loved him so much and sang to him every night she could! and also I think he had nightmares and she always knew when he did and was always there to sing to him and stroke his hair till he fell asleep - and if she couldn't move him she'd fall asleep there too, back pain be damned her boy needed her.

Also imagine during the rebellion era/post ANH in general Luke curled up in bed quietly singing it to himself to self sooth and cope with the trauma and hold onto a little of his old life and comforts.

And YES PLEASE LUKE SINGING IT TO HIS BABIES/PADAWANS EVERY NIGHT OH GODS PLEASE he sings it and moves around the room tucking them in and stroking their hair and giving nose boops and forehead kisses to those who want them.

K-pop and jpop, he stans Loona. Listens to a mix of male, female and mixed groups and artists. surprisingly enough he goes to the most concerts out of all of the brothers, even beating Asmo out (since he tends to go clubbing instead). It's the only time he voluntarilly goes into such an enviroment. When he goes to a concert he doesn't mess about, VIP tickets and gets the best merch. He loves anime themes, also see him liking anything 'niche' so is a bit of a hipster and a massive music snob. i have two cats who are everything to me. (there's a third house cat, but she hates me so we don't know her!!!).

my eldest is called ianto and he's a 13 years old baby/old man with the prettiest green eyes ever (sorry harold) and who got is named from torchwood bisexual icon ianto jones. he is 100% a shoulder cat and loves to be picked up and be the little spoon. as the only dude and the oldest he could make the law but he's so patient and kind and always lets the girlies eat first. the BEST boy.

Like don't get me wrong it's good, it's funny, it's a lil heartwarmin - it's got all the good stuff. The story's pretty entertainin too.

But w/ the cards and even the bg of the event I was kinda expectin smthn different? Idk if I 100% expected it to be like "the characters turn into kids" bc that'd just be a lot of new sprites and maybe too much work, but both the cards and the bg suggested smthn like it.

Esp. since the bg usually connects to the event in some way and it legit shows baby older bro hands drawin the younger bros like. You see that, what do you think the event's gonna be?

I haven't finished the "secret route" bc fuckin. Keys. But startin that I was thinkin like oh maybe this'd be smthn real different like the Paws 2 event totally changed how the movie ended and was a sorta good end vs. bad end, right?

But nah. This's like the most minute difference ever. Like they're still doin the same shit and you're still havin the same convos, so it don't feel as worth doin as the Paws 2 event.

I know peeps on Twitter were gettin excited while speculatin and it kinda sucks that a lot of 'em are gonna be disappointed bc it hella ain't what they were thinkin. Like it ain't even close.

Like? I would'a liked this event way more if initial promo stuff didn't suggest so much that it was gonna be smthn it really wasn't.

Why give us the "boys as kids" cards when that's not the point of the event? "Boys as tired caretakers" might've been better (e.g. Sleepin Belphie w/ marker on his face; Asmo, Levi, and Luke practicin the play for a memory card), and would've been just as well received. Or make the kid cards the Nightmare thing, y'know?

That'd be like havin the Paws cards showin off all their animal forms and then the event's like "oh yeah they're chasin after wild animals that escaped from a zoo". The cards've gotta show a lil more of the event legit, not make us think it's gonna be one thing and then oh hey it ain't that at all.

Like!! It's a good event!! I just would'a liked it more if they'd promo'd it/designed the cards more around what it is - the boys bein caretakers - and not around some hypothetical we don't get to see. Bc now the event's like a lil disappointin even tho it's good.
