Newtmas headcanons, some NSFW (Post-Death Cure, AU in which Thomas time travels to save Newt/or WICKD found Newt and revived him.)
. They are extremely codependent and obsessive, mainly on Thomas' end. He can't stand being away from Newt, not being able to see him. If he doesn't know where Newt is, he spirals into panic. He feels like Newt could just slip between his fingers again at any moment.
. Newt has a love/hate relationship with Thomas's unfaltering attention. It used to be all he ever wanted, was for Thomas to look at him, but there are times at which he feels ready to explode. He's sick of feeling treated like an incapable child, or like he's something fragile. One day, he snaps, and they get into a huge fight over it. He storms off, and Thomas is shocked and hurt but realizes Newt is right. Thomas tells him he'll try to give him space, when he needs. Newt apologizes, acknowledges that it's partly on him, and that he'll try to communicate what he needs better from now on. That he understands the need to be together- really, of all people, he does- and how much of a comfort it is for Thomas, but that he needs space to just be "Newt" sometimes, not just "Newt & Thomas."
. They both have nightmares about that night. Newt dying.
. Because of this, they can't sleep without the other. They always need to be close and able to reach out and touch the other for reassurance.
. Newt avoids mirrors. Often, he'll see his reflection and see the version of himself afflicted by The Flare. Bordering on inhuman, pupils blown so wide they eclipse everything else, stark black veins trailing up his face and neck.
. Thomas knows this and always makes it very clear to Newt how he sees him. That he's the most incredible person he's ever known. That he's the glue that binds everyone together, the one they turn to when they need comfort and advice. That he's beautiful, and that Newt isn't a monster. That Thomas loves/loved even that version of him.
. Newt will often find himself slipping into the same patterns he experienced during The Flare. He'll grow short-tempered, feeling like he's ready to boil over and scald anyone who dares get too close. He'll ruminate and become obsessive. When this happens, he showers in ice cold water, the shock helping to bring him out of the dark haze and ground him in reality. After these episodes, he is completely drained, and simply collapses into bed. Thomas will find him and join him, softly carding a hand through his hair.
. Thomas makes sure to say "I love you" at every opportunity. He never wants to miss another chance, given that he wasn't able to say it to Newt before. When he died.
. Thomas is extremely touchy. He prefers to be holding Newt in some capacity, touching him at all times. Newt secretly very much enjoys this.
. Having sex helps to pull the both of them out of the haunted echoes in their heads, bringing them together as closely as humanly possible and being able to convey their love for each other when words fail them.
. Newt will sometimes ask to be restrained in some way. Sometimes Thomas will bind his arms behind him, others he'll just pin him down with his full strength. Newt needs the reassurace that he can't hurt Thomas even if he somehow were to lose control and Crank out. At first Thomas is hesitant to do this. The last thing he wants to is potentially hurt Newt. But he realizes it makes Newt feel secure, safe and comfortable. They both grow to enjoy it very much.
. Thomas is the most gentle, attentive service top. He is more than happy to sit back and let Newt take control, or to take charge when the other needs that feeling of security. He and Newt both know he secretly loves it when Newt dominates him however <3
. He felt shame in it for a long time, but Thomas finally forced Newt to admit he just wants to be taken care of. There's nothing quite like giving himself over to the other man and allowing his brain to shut off. He doesn't have to be the responsible one or the one providing for others for once.
. Newt will often gently talk Thomas through it and tell him how proud he is of him, how good he is, and how much he loves him. Thomas melts at the praise.

I finally made a family tree for the “cosmic/crystal” royal family.
Btw this is gonna be really long lol
So starting off at the top we have Starswirl, the founder and first king of the Crystal Empire. He settled in the Crystal Tundra along with a handful of other ponies and was made king after fighting off a horde of Windegos and creating a magical barrier to protect them from the weather and the Windegos. Aside from being the founder of the Crystal Empire, Starswirl was known for his powerful magical abilities and having two horns. He also established the first magic university where other unicorns could hope to train to become as strong as him.
Next is Sombra. Sombra was a student at the magic university and eventually became a professor. He was known for challenging traditional and made great strides in improving spells and creating new ones. He was able to make such advances because he was also studying dark magic. At one point he discovered Shades, a race of ponies similar to Windegos but moved within shadows instead of in the wind. Sombra made a Pact with one, fusing them together so he could become more powerful. When the Crystal Empire found out what he had done he was banished. Sombra roamed aimlessly until he found a run down town in what would become Canterlot. The town was struggling to survive due to the presence of dragons and the Everfree Forest. Using his stronger magic Sombra was able to fight off the dragons and make a similar barrier to the one in the Crystal Empire to protect the town, in exchange they made him King and the Equestrian Empire was created.
Onto the second row:
Crystal Shore was the heir to the Crystal Empire. She was well liked in the kingdom and was rumored to be as strong as Starswirl, taking up the duty of maintaining the barrier. However she died of mysterious circumstances before she could take up the throne and the duty was passed to her brother Night Light
Nightlight wasn't as strong as Crystal Shore and eventually married the eldest daughter of the Equestrian Empire, Falling Dusk, so she could help him maintain the barrier.
Falling Dusk was essentially the perfect Princess. She was empathetic, ambitious, and strong. She also had a knack for bringing people together and created an ambassador program way before she married into the Crystal Empire to encourage peace through the land.
Her younger sister Celestial Morning wasn’t as… nice as her older sister. She was always more focused on the safety of the kingdom, contributing a lot to the military as an advisor. She was never too keen on the ambassador program, even less so when her sister married into a foreign kingdom instead of staying to rule their’s. Ceslestia eventually came around when she realized they would be given access to the Magical University since she also has an interest in magical studies.
Their youngest sister, Lunar Eclipse, was always a very sickly pony having been down with a disease that stunted her magic and kept her weak. Not much is known about Luna since she was barely seen outside of the palace and died at a young age.
Now into the 3rd and final row!
Shining Armor was born not long after Night Light and Dusk got married. He was always interested in the protection of their kingdom ans decided on joining the military before taking up the throne. While in the military he met Cadance, a Pegasus General, and after butting heads for a while they eventually fell in love. Night and Dusk weren’t too happy that Shining wanted to marry Cadance instead of another noble but Shining was stubborn and they eventually allowed it.
And lastly we have Twilight Sparkle! Twilight has always been super into learning about magic and with her naturally strong magic she sensed up getting into the University at a young age. She doesn’t really care about potentially taking up the throne but since she’s Dusk’s direct heir and Shining is already expected to rule the Crystal Empire she’s first in line for the Equestrian throne.

I have more question and would like to hear your thoughts on some what ifs
1) do you think autumn wouldn’t have stayed in Chan’s pack if there would have been specific rules for omegas, even if they were ones to actually protect them? Ex: when close to your heat let others know when you are going out and request of someone else go with you
2) thoughts on if Changbin just so happened to find himself in a dark alley with Autumn’s ex and he knew there would be no consequences. Mine are I doubt the guy makes it out alive
3) like how Chris in the actual band doesn’t care about seniority and let’s IN do things like hold the trophy first, get first bites ex, does this happen in the actual pack?
4)if it was just mitten and Sir P/future cats for the rest of ever by themselves, do you think he’d suffer from lone wolf syndrome? Do you think he’d notice if he did get it?
5) are lunar eclipses and solstices also important for the wolves for runs and celebrations?
6) what if instead happy zoomies from Chris when he finally learns he’s gonna be a dad, he actually gets so excited and worked up he passes out? Thoughts? Cause like tbh it would be so cute.
7) for soulmates/truemates, if one of them were to pass would the other likely die of a broken heart? If so, does it ever happen to just other mates/packmates?
-🥝
love these so much, you already know.
she could've dealt with rules for omegas depending on what the rules were. if they'd been something like "omegas tend to the household while their alphas work" or "omegas must obey higher designations" she definitely wouldn't have stayed.
wr!Changbin has had his fair dose of anger issues, and i feel like all those would resurface if he saw Hyunwoo lol. he'd definitely try to fight, and at the very least, he'll get him unconscious..
yes, yes it does. Chris just wants his pack members to follow the very few rules he's put in place (help each other out when needed, speak out if you're uncomfortable, protect each other, anyone that's coming to the building must be introduced to Chris, and he will decide whether or not they can come into the den, etc). other than that, everyone's pretty much equal.
he wouldn't notice if he were suffering from lone wolf syndrome, at least not for a while. but, kitten and sir p are part of his pack, so he wouldn't get it anyway. in this universe, lone wolf syndrome is more about the pack than it is about being surrounded by other wolves. it's also why, when jisung found them, minho was fine. he wasn't alone, he had kitten (and his mum, and sir P, and kitten's dad).
yes, yes they are! i just haven't decided how they affect werewolves in this universe ahhaha. anything related to the sun, the moon, and the stars can affect them in one way or another.
awwwww, that's cute. i don't think he'll fully pass out, but i'm sure he'll be really close to hahah. he'll either try to go on a run to let those feelings out, or not detach himself from his prettiest for a second (aka, enters annoying protection mode).
yes, soulmates/truemates would die if the other passed. we know chris x pretty are soulmates, as are hyunlix x moss. with hyunlix and moss, if two of the throuple remain alive it's very likely that they'll survive for much longer, since they have each other, you know? if two of them die, whoever's left will die of a broken heart. same thing with pretty x chris. i feel like it's obvious that if pretty died, Chris would 100% die of a broken heart. what people might question is what would happen to pretty if Chris died.... pretty is human, but the universe has tied her to Chris, so she'd also die of a broken heart if he died. regular mates wouldn't necessarily die of a broken heart, but it's very likely that they wouldn't mate ever again (it'd depend on the relationship they had, honestly). pack mates usually wouldn't die of a broken heart if one of their own passed.
hope these answer your questions and that they make sense sjkdfhskjf feel free to let me know if they don't

I'm so sick of writing this essay every day.
It WAS out of character, but it was written, so you have to find Sam's truth in it, as Jared once said. Everyone goes straight to, "well, Dean was ANGRY that Sam didn't look for him, so Sam was WRONG TO CHOOSE TO DO THAT." Do we honestly think that Sam stood there in that lab, wide-eyed and hyperventilating in front of Crowley and his taunting, thinking "Well damn, Dean's gone, I'm going to CHOOSE not to look for him." Not being facetious, because he might've done (it is, after all, the rational choice considering all the harm to creation they've caused as a team (and that's also kind of the truth Sam offers to Dean, when he later tries and fails to explain it to him).
So *was* it a conscious plan to offhandedly abandon his brother? I think not. Because we're shown throughout the seasons that Sam is usually such an analytical, practical person, and insanely single-minded and vengeful when it comes to saving Dean - even in the direst of straits, Sammy keeps his head; hits the lore, solves the problem. In character, he would've found out he was in Purgatory, he would've summoned Death and begged him for another random eclipse (another of which, by the way, had already been outright refused).
So why does nobody ever offer Sam grace and consider *why was he out of character?* It's because he was reeling. He'd lost everyone he'd ever loved, he was still absolutely swamped by guilt, head swimming with Hell trauma that had nearly killed him. He was running on fumes already at the end of season 7. He had no Bunker at that point, no comfort, no Bobby anymore. The angels were d1cks. No demons would make a deal. All he had left, and all he could do, was go back to the car. "I fixed up the Impala, and I drove." The scenes where he hit the dog, he was absolutely frantic. Reminded again how much pain and destruction he causes. Amelia was a lifeline, an (unhappy imo) accident - she just happened. He wasn't chasing happiness, or a normal life at that point. Just running.
So thoughts of Dean, the Life, Kevin, everything unfinished would come back and poke at his brain... At that point, do you stay hiding, buried, living in a motel, clinging to someone who makes you a birthday cake, fixing sinks, not being traumatised, abandoned, hospitalised, killed? Or do you give yourself an shake and say "c'mon Sam, stand up and find your brother, have the audacity to insert yourself back into a world where your *very existence* killed him, made his life hell, made his death literal hell, killed your own mother, father, the love of your life, millions of others, caused apocalypse, destroyed Kevin's life, got *his* girlfriend killed...
He, of course, can't say all that to Dean. How can he?
"we promised we weren't going to look for each other" - it's easier - prove it was a rational choice. "I met a girl and decided not to hunt anymore" - ok, Dean will be angry, but Dean's anger is usual, normal, and easier to deal with than facing Dean's disappointment in Sam's unravelling.
I might be overanalysing and giving him too much credit. But he deserves it and this is a Sam-positive post. And if you watch the scene with Cas and Sam in the cartoon world in Hunteri Heroici, you can *see* it. His ranting at Fred about living in a dream world isn't about Fred. It's all about his own anger at himself, taking on board yet more guilt, because he can never do anything right. He's more than out of character. He's an absolute mess.
#sam winchester#just one day without this fucking discussion please dear god#“dean deserved better” oh shut up for fuck sake as if dean was never problematic as fuck

Crimson Eclipse #10
Previous | Next
Crimson had left the den to run some errands, which gave Luna time to look through his dream. She began to sketch the face of Crimson's mother, yet she could swear the mother was staring at her; The mother's eyes moving around as if the dream was becoming sentiment. Nevertheless, Luna had finished the sketch and hid it in her tent, waiting for Crimson to get back to show it to him. She heard the sounds of something and went out of the den before someone crashed into a tree. They slid down the tree before they locked eyes with Luna. The two paused as they had never seen another person like them in the area. The town wasn't very diverse, while townsfolk weren't racist, they were oppressive of those with special abilities. However, to see another person with a similar color of skin was something that didn't happen. When Crimson got back, the two were hugging each other and talking in their native tongue. He could understand it a little bit, but some words confused him. What was a Paso?
"Did you make a friend while I was gone?" Crimson invited both of them into the den, what Luna had called 'Casa'.
"Yes. Her name is… te llamas?" Luna looked at the other girl who was a lot taller than her.
"Te Llamas is a cool name." Crimson didn't understand why the two were giggling, "I don't understand your guys language."
"My name is Sunshine, some people call me Sunny. And sorry about leaving you out mister, it is just refreshing to find someone who speaks your native tongue."
"I understand, I don't remember my native tongue." Crimson enjoyed the new person already, they were very proper. "Nice to meet you Sunny." Luna had gone into her tent, leaving Sunny and Crimson alone. "My name is Crimson, however you may know me as Malus Ursi."
"But you aren't a bear? Why did they name you Evil Bear?"
"Why do you guys know Latin?" Crimson was heavily confused, everyone seemed to understand some dead language.
"The town requires it to be taught." Crimson found that odd, why was it required? Were they a few people that couldn't read English but could understand Latin? Was there Latin graffiti. Luna came out of her tent and stared at Crimson.
"Am I thinking too loud again?" Crimson asked, to which Luna nodded.
"Also to answer your question, yes there are some people who only write Latin. It is the official language of the city." Sunny looked shocked and began asking the two questions about their abilities. "I have telekinesis, telepathy, and geokinesis." Sunny looked confused, which was normal. Not everyone knew the abilities' names. "I can read minds, move things with my mind, bend and control the ground."
"Cool. I can make spiderwebs from my hands and stick to walls and run super fast and punch really hard." Sunny was very excited to talk about it, and the three quickly grew close. Crimson didn't enjoy any more company other than Luna, but if it made Luna happy, it was fine. Plus, Sunny seemed nice and well-behaved. A little too hyperactive but Crimson could manage. The three of them stayed for the day and then Luna and Sunny left at sunset. It was a great day. Crimson's life had changed in such a short amount of time because he had done a good deed. Looking back he was confused but glad. The wolf took off his cloak and laid down nearby the tent; Luna wasn't inside, but he refused to sleep anywhere else, but beside Luna's tent. He felt like a child again, which was something he never thought he would feel again. It had been eons since Crimson felt this happy, but how long would it truly last. He grabbed the small bear toy and slowly dozed off to sleep, enthusiastic to see what would happen the next day.

cracks knuckles* Okay, so first of all I want to say New Horizons is Sweethearts the fic! Neon and Eclipse are just so cute together and it made me smile how quickly they clicked. Like they just Got each other. The fact that they have such similar interests helps a lot of course and it's so cute how they have found in each other someone that allows them to get excited and build on each other's energies!
They're also very observant of what the other needs, even if trying always not to overstep. When it comes to each other at least XD The complete disregard of the agencies secrecy rules made me laugh out loud, but I guess it doesn't make as much sense to worry about that when they are working in a lab where it's unlikely there will be external dangers haha.
Which is also hilarious taking into account the Accidentally Undercover storyline, since Sun and Moon are pining their hearts away, wondering how they could ever get close to their coworker/landlord while Eclipse just looks at them casually fidgeting with something and going: What? Like it's hard? XD
I also like how you have established the kind of affection that is so compatible between them. Eclipse especially caught my attention because his actions speak so loudly, and what they are saying is simple: stay. Eclipse pays so much close attention to neon. What they need to fidget with, what they need to keep them in top shape, and what will make them comfortable, especially in his apartment. And it makes sense! Since a lot of his insecurities are rooted in what happened with his brothers, thinking he wasn't wanted, that he was too close and that they needed space away from him, his way of showing affection would be to make it clear someone is welcomed in HIS personal space. No pushing away. (which must be hard because he does need to ask for space when he knows he might get a crash soon, but he doesn't want anyone to feel like he did when he was pushed away). And Neon's preferred way to get affection compliments it really well! Because they like contact, and closeness! And Eclipse can see that and feel welcomed as well. Especially when it's clear Neon WANTS him around, wants him in their space and sharing what makes them happy with him. And then they match his efforts to welcome him and it must have been such a big deal to him!! Even if the last chapter was a bit sadder, he was reassured he WAS wanted!
So in conclusion, good fic, wholesome times make me smile, and two goofs finding and complimenting each other feels me with fuzzy feelings! Awesome work with the characterizations all around
Oh and as a sidenote I love reading about the inventions as well! Very interesting!
OKAY SO I AM ACTUALLY WRITING THIS ANSWER TO YOU ON ANOTHER DOC SO I CAN ACTUALLY MAKE COHERENT THOUGHTS. CAUSE THIS HAS ME SO EXCITED I AM SHAKING.
AND THIS IS ALL GOING UNDER A READ MORE CAUSE OH GOSH THIS IS LONG KJSLHADFKJHFKJ
OKAY OKAY FIRST!! Yes!! Eclipse and Neon click immensely well! They both got their jobs ‘cause they’re good at what they do, and it definitely helps they both have a flare for doing things dramatically. N because they’re both lil nerds in the same/similar fields, them being able to talk to someone who has the same flare AND interests? INSTANT SPARK N GOOD ENERGY! Once these two get going, they will NOT stop!~
Second!!! Yesssss they’re very observant! ‘Cause to them the first step to a good relationship (romantic or not) is to know what the other likes/is comfortable with. It’s also why during the very first chapter Neon jokingly thinks “is this love?” or hints at it several times. ‘Cause Eclipse just naturally started watching them n analyzing them. (remember, he is naturally curious about everything after all! If he can be a possibility, anything can. So everything is worth paying attention to!) Like how he notices Neon struggling with something on the top shelf but they don’t ask for help, so he just gets it for them. They were struggling > He waited > They didn’t ask > He helped.
AND YES, THEY JUST THROW AWAY THE AGENCY’S RULES. CAUSE WHY START NOW WHEN THEY NEVER LISTENED TO BEGIN WITH??? Hehehhe Luce made a comment once in the tags and it was legit this: Sun/Moon: Whoa is us, we’ll never get close to our crushes :( Eclipse: What? Like it’s hard? and I have been thinking about it ever since KJLHSDKFJL every chapter it springs to mind.
THIRD!!! my first reaction when reading the analysis of their love languages was: “Woah, even I didn’t think of that. I was just writing” But after thinking a bit I also realized; It was mostly based off the info we have about Eclipse. (and Neon is just me with a funny hat on, but we don’t need to talk about that… haha)
Tho I legit did not realize how I was writing Eclipse was giving the impression of “stay” ‘cause while I was kind of aiming for it I didn’t realize I was doing it. I didn’t realize his actions spoke, and dear lord have they been speaking. (I suppose I now understand why Daye always says I write them naturally. It just, HAPPENS) I have stared a lot at all the Eclipse poses from Luce, enough so I have a whole folder bookmarked of just posts with him for when I do writing. He has a lot of trauma from the two people in his life leaving, and then not showing him that they care. Sun and Moon SUCK at showing him they actually care about him. He needs to know they want him there, and yet they hardly talk to him. It’s hard to invite people back into your life when they already left, and even harder to bring people in when you’re scared they’ll leave. So I’m glad I managed to get across that he really really just wants Neon to stay. ‘Cause I think of his trauma, but I don’t… I guess actively think of how I am writing it. I just do it.
As for Neon… Neon was easy. As I mentioned, just me with a funny hat. This fic is very very self indulgent, I love the mans! So I just threw myself in there along with my love languages. So Neon loves physical touch, even if it’s as simple as sitting close enough to have contact. They will always invite someone into their personal space because they want them there.
I didn’t originally mean for them to mesh this well, but it worked out very well in the end! We have two love struck puppies who just want each other in their lives <3
Also thank you for reading!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it so much!! Sorry if my thoughts/reply isn’t coherent! Unlike you I do not analyze things well, nor do I formulate good replies. This is why I scream when I like something XDD AAAAAAAAAAA is easier than this is!
#Ask Zelda#chaotikanvas asks#New Horizons#Accidentally Undercover#Accidentally Undercover Fanwork#HOOOOOOOOLY SHIT#YOU REALLY THOUGHT THIS THROUGH#I will be honest#I do not think when I write#I just... do it?#Once I have a good understanding of the character#I just go ham#brain empty no thoughts#So when i read all of this#I was like#whoa! I did that?? Me??? I provoked this thought????#cause I didn't even know it was there LMAO#But if I think longer it makes sense#cause it's in the back of my mind#ANYWAYS I AM RAMBLING#ENJOY THE REPLY#I HOPE I WAS COHERENT

"It was hard for us at first, if I am being honest. Silver and I got into many, many fights - often physical - when we were younger." Gold hums, a small smile on his lips. "And finding a balance between all we as a trio have going on was equally as difficult. But I am glad it worked out."
That being said, relationships weren't Gold's speciality. He wasn't even especially romantic outside of Lyra and Silver. He knew others who'd explored around but that had never been him. When he'd found battling to be his passion, that had sort of eclipsed everything else. And, he supposed, he'd hardly had a 'normal' experience as a teen anyway - especially by the standards of Johto.
But then, had May? Had any of those who'd been through what they had? None of them were normal, but they certainly had tried to make the best of the people they'd become. For May, that had been a decade of living off the grid.
He's pondering these thoughts as May makes her quip. His eyes bug out and he splutters around his drink, bursting into laughter. May was crass, but she was honest, and its enough for him to almost choke.
"No! No, that was not my implication-" He laughs, waving a hand before he realizes she'd taken it as a joke. He wipes his mouth with the back of a hand and nods along with her.
"I am glad. I do not know Dawn incredibly well, but she was the only Champion I had any sort of true contact with before you helped break me out of my shell. She has a good heart." He smiled. "And I can tell you two make one another very happy, which is the main thing."
He frowns a little at her words. He can sympathize - it can't be easy seeing those you knew grow up entirely divorced from you, only to come back and see they aren't as you remembered them. Time changed a lot, including people.
"That doesn't mean you can't reconnect." Gold hums. "But I think you also need to be fair to yourself in that regard in not only how feasible it is, but if its worth the strain in some cases. You aren't the same person now either."
After all, what good would it do her when she was just finding her footing again?
"But more than anything, I am glad you have that sort of support from someone. Anyone who judges you is not, frankly, someone worth listening to. Who are they to comment on what you have been through?" Gold shakes his head with a frown, absent-mindedly running his hand through Admetus's fur as the Persian lay stretched out beside him.
Very few people had been in the shoes of those like them, after all, and those that had knew better than any that you don't know how you will cope until you come face-to-face with it. For May, that was retreating away from it all to find her own path.
He doesn't notice what May does, high on the cliff, distracted as he is by his own thoughts, but her idea makes him nod.
"I would like that. I am sure they would, too. It would be good to introduce you to them, and vice-versa." He smiles a little and yawns, eyes drifting to his old Pokegear. "Though I believe we should return soon, and get some rest. We have had a long day."
Nodding along with every word, May soaks in the insight she's being granted. Though she wouldn't ever describe the man as particularly secretive, she's often found Gold's reservations perplexing.... in a most interesting way.
On one hand, he is bold and stern and honest to a fault, carrying his traditional beliefs with a poise likened to elders of past generations; the other side of him is more introspective, incredibly selective with where he places his energy and not one to let his emotions get the better of him—at the very least, from her perspective.
It is something she's come to appreciate most, this duality about him. Though he vouches that her influence has helped him to broaden his outlook on life, Gold has been just as influential towards May honing herself into regaining that focus necessary to be worthy the title of "Champion".
Gold's tone is relaxed, welcoming, and in no way dismissive, which makes listening all the more pleasant while May digests her dinner of fried noodles. "I mean, if it works, it works," languidly, her voice carries above the brook's babbling and the waterfall's gentle roar. "It's cool y'all were able to find each other 'n just click like that. Bet that's hard fer a lotta couples with that kinda dynamic, but... 'ey, what do I know? Relationship stuff really ain't my specialty."
May is selling herself short, but that is to be as expected when it comes to the topic of romance. Never had she anticipated meeting a person like Dawn, connecting with someone so intimately that she'd venture beyond the platonic line-in-the-sand kept intact throughout most of her life's relationships.
She supposes the same can be said for Gold, as he's describing it—finding those other halves, or thirds, and so on. Finding someone who gets it, and once they're found? Holding onto dear life to keep those feelings sacred and to cherish every moment. To live a life in the realization that love isn't the battle many make it out to be.
"...ya think I returned to Hoenn, just t'get some ass?" Her laugh that soon rises is enough for Peaches to crack an eye open, grumbling before she rolls onto her other side to face away from the group. Balthazar, having finished the remnants of his gemstone kibble, is off scampering after the nocturnal natives, while Salem reclines and curls up beneath the light of a waxing moon.
"Nah, to be real, no– no, not really." May ponders her thoughts on the topic, and of her return to Hoenn in general, before continuing. "I'm good with what I got, me 'n Dawn. Plus, it's still kinda strange, to be back 'round people I haven't seen in so long. Everybody's done their fair share of growin', that they're all basically strangers t'me now? Like– it's almost like seein' ghosts of people I used t'know, but now don't... really recognize, anymore."
Save for Brendan, and for that she's been endlessly grateful; their reunion, once the initial iciness between them had its chance to thaw, became more sweet than bitter. "My co-Champ has been th'best source of support, though, even after he had t'pick up my slack when I went full ghost-type mode. But, y'know... it's been kinda validatin' not bein' put down, just 'cuz the path I chose fer m'self wasn't what others wanted from me."
By now, the Hoennite is well aware that her childhood friend had chosen a path for himself, as much as she had her own—whether or not it was something he'd thought through enough, before he decided to soldier the burden of the title he bears. This epiphany comes to shine a light on their similarities, too, and strikingly so—charging forth blindly, whether out of impulse or spite.
As May sits to face Gold, she picks up a strange aroma that commands her attention: it is earthy, with notes of the river trickling before them, the few trees barricading between the back of the community center and the riverside clearing they lounge around.
Sharpened instincts bring her to glance up at that moment, eyes tracing along the dark ledges of the mountain looming here at the heart of Kitakami; for a split second, a shadow blurs from behind the rocky outcrop jutting over where they rest, seemingly disappearing into thin air along with the scents of nature that had accompanied the apparition.
May rubs her eyes with both palms—clearly, fatigue is finally catching up to her, after that lengthy trip from Mesagoza to Mossui. She shakes these stray thoughts away, beaming brightly towards the Johtonian Champ. "'Ey, maybe we can all get together sometime? Fer somethin' of a double-date, like they do on them TV shows... well triple, in yer case, but all th'same! It'd be fun as hell!" An activity other than beating the living shit out of each other (in battle, of course) would be a refreshing change of pace, after all.

and all my hope is gone
vincent thinks about how he ended up here. inspired partly by sol's art (as always), particularly the contrast between the second and third portraits. the grandeur vs. the ugly truth. also this art by @/nerdonpluto69 of the most perfectly unhinged vincent. plus this piece of commentary courtesy of @/visceravalentines: "#there was no dramatic revenge killing just a sick bed and suffering and she sucked the life out of them til the end"
WARNING for brief or passing mentions of infant death, child abuse, suicide, depression and terminal illness.
Vincent isn't totally sure when things started falling apart.
He could hazard a guess at the day they were born. But that isn't quite it. No, the day they were born was a day full of pain and suffering, there's no deny that. Everyone thought the twins wouldn't make it, and sometimes Vincent wonders if that wasn't the way it was supposed to turn out. But no. Even amongst their mangled birth, there was a slither of hope, just as there always is when a new life -- lives -- claws its way into the world.
The next logical point to consider for their downfall is the first time their mama hit Bo. He'd had another tantrum, worse than any that came before but one which would soon be eclipsed, again and again. Mama had had enough. Vincent hears the slap, the firm sound of a palm on a cheek, rather than witnesses it. Bo doesn't speak for three days after that. Simply nods or shakes his head when their parents ask him questions. His father isn't happy about it, but its better than the screaming. Coincidently, that was also the day mama finished making Vincent's first mask.
Years pass by after that, and the next milestone in their lives is the day their daddy killed himself. Bittersweet was the brain matter splattered over the paintwork. Bo found daddy. Vincent found Bo, on his knees and letting out a sobbing laugh. Maybe it had been a fork in the road, rather than another step in their descent. The King was dead; Long Live the Queen.
Or not. Perhaps it was their mama's death that drove them down. The long, slow agony of it all. The endless, restless nights. The morphine. How the end came not in an act of revenge but in an act of mercy from above. The Queen is dead; Long Live the Kings.
Vincent watches the town from an upstairs window in the House of Wax. He's painted this scene before, the quaint little town he was born and raised in. The truth is in the detail. It's in the cracked sidewalks and the dirty looks. In the way that no one could ever make enough money to get out, in long shifts at the mill and in the silhouette against the midday sky of the crane that was building the interstate road.
The wax windowsill is sticky with dust. There are grooves where Vincent has rested his elbows in the same way for years. He ought to fix it, he thinks. Instead he pulls himself away retreats back down the stairs.
Stopping in the museum lobby, he looks around. Looks at his work. Stares into the screaming eyes of his creations. Kneels before the Mural. Kneels before the bodies at his mother's feet. Gazes upon himself and Bo, carved into the very walls of the House. This is about as close to eternity as they'll ever get. Bo's told him before not to make him into one of them. Eventually, Vincent stands again.
Down in the workshop, he still thinks about it. About all the little things that got him here. Vincent knows it isn't as simple as their birth, or their abuse, or their father's suicide or their mother's illness. They survived all of that.
The truth is far more mundane. Dropping out of college, being laid off, sexual frustration, the interstate being built, reclusivity, funeral costs, embalming, burnout, second chances, wasted time, art work, crime and punishment, death.
And now his life was so far removed from what it once was, he can barely remember what it felt like to be a player on the stage. Now he's a spectator to his own life, watching as the blade slices and the wax melts and his art is better than ever.
And it only cost him everything.

Hello! Hope you're having a good day
I have a question about mck. I haven't watched it but I've seen a lot of cuts from episodes on youtube and fan's discussions so I hoped you might explain something to me.
Everybody says that Kosem killed her sons only for power and it wasn't for the good of the country. Is that true? Was Murad a good ruler in the show? All I know is that he was harsh and in the end wanted to kill his brothers. What Ibrahim? In history he clearly made a very poor ruler. What about the show?
Hi!
Fans often have different interpretations of the subject matter and what is perceived on-screen, so some of them might say that Murat IV was a good ruler in the show and some might say that he isn't. Really depends on what you consider a good ruler - is it someone who goes on campaigns and wins wars for his country, is it someone who cares about the people, the janissary and their opinions above all else or is it someone who considers himself unquestionable authority and refuses to take any advice, even if they took the wrongest, most problematic decision ever?
To me, show!Murat is anything but a good ruler. He ascends the throne as a kid, with Kösem as a regent, and I feel that he never actually gained any experience in how to truly rule the state. And yet, when the time comes for him to actually take matters into his own hands, he is ecstatic to finally assert his will and dominance for everyone to see and learn. One of the key problems with him are that he not only wants his decisions to be completely unparalleled and undebated, he considers everything he does as right out of principle. He has the mindset that every single decision he takes is absolutely correct and is beneficial for the state, but not because it's actually correct or beneficial, but only because he's the padişah and "the shadow of God on Earth". And there are quite a lot of decisions that are problematic at best (forbidding alchohol and then you yourself drink it) and outright destructive and dangerous at worst. (leaving just like that, even it's after a traumatic event for you, caused a huge literal revolt!) And even if he realizes what he's doing isn't right, he ignores every kind of advice when people around him tell him to do the precise opposite. This guy is so drowned in his own ego and authority that he destroys everyone around him.
But then again, there's that side of things where, writing-wise, you understand where all that comes from - most of Murat's flaws as a ruler stem from the massive past trauma of Osman's death, which only caused irreparable damage to the mind of such a small kid. It created such unrelenting paranoia that Murat began to forever believe that he couldn't count to anyone but himself. This is what his "meeting" with Osman in E47 symbolizes, he hears both what he wants to hear and that part of Osman which could never accept Kösem's outside interference. That's also the episode where "one Murat went away, there comes the other" and there he began to go further into the abyss of his own beliefs. Murat has Süleiman's paranoia, but upped to eleven in a more offending form, because while with Süleiman this paranoia grew gradually and he could let it go more easily, because despite of all he knew how to rule a good state, with Murat it was always there from the very start, constantly preventing him from doing the right thing, especially due to the constant fear of being manipulated and deceived by someone else (just like Osman thought he was.) and always thinking he's in his mother's shadow.
Speaking of which, Kösem and Murat's dynamic is the central conflict of season 2 of MCK and that's not only an interpersonal character conflict, as it would seem at first glance to someone who's new to the franchise in example, it's a conflict of one newly established and another already established powers in the palace that would never back down and fight for what they think is right. Kösem and Murat have a different relationship with the state. The state for Kösem has a dynamic role - firstly, it was a role she had to accept for the greater good (her standing in front of the people in Ahmet's name in E07 of season 1.), then she saw herself engrained in it due to her strong sense of justice. (getting revenge for her father, trying to expose Fahrye, then Handan and Derviş and lastly, ''protecting the country" from Iskender.) By season 2 country and power are already synonymous to her due to her fully taking the responsibility of a regent and taking the country in her wing of protection, always keeping an eye on it and consistently representing it without a second thought. The state for Murat, however, is static - it is something given to him by God himself, it is something he takes for granted, without truly trying to improve it. The first steps he takes as a ruler is to seemingly "clear" his own path, to remove the traitors around him. And while that seems correct and valid at first glance, he never sees the bigger scheme of things, due to his paranoia. He doesn't see the people who actually conspire to remove him (which is why he never found out the true traitor in his palace and died, thinking this person was the most loyal man ever.), but sees what he wants to see, this shadow who is looming in for years. Murat thinks his mother is a problem, which is why the first step he takes, is to immediately remove her regency and then send Kemankeş to follow her around. These two forces clash with each other incessantly, with their opinion of a state at constant odds. There have been many times throughout the show where Murat does a problematic thing, Kösem tries to snap him out of it and fails, because he doesn't want to listen to her no longer. He's always felt that she overshadowed his own reign, even in her regency years (see the flashbacks in E56.) and he wants to believe that he's already a big man, a person who can do anything, even with a big lack of experience. So whoever tries to give him decent advice is immediately washed off and out of the question, because who are they, they don't know better, he's the only one who does. This mindset is reflected as totally wrong in the show with the people and the janissary despising him, with the numerous revolts (the season literally began with a revolt.), with the multiple traitors around him, with everyone (Atike and Farya aside) turning against him sooner or later. That of course isn't appreciated by Kösem, and she, being the self-and not-so- self- proclaimed representative of the state, tries to fix this all, even if it means acting behind Murat's back. She doesn't really wish her son harm only due to him eclipsing her own power, she just sees the genuine flaws of his rule and is willing to achieve everything to fix it. Later on she began to indeed consider him as unworthy due to all the mistakes he made, claiming that the country is able to defend itself and listing qualities that all padişahs should possess like virtue and justice. She saw how messy all of it became and instinctively began to search for solutions that even came to ending him. (her ordering the doctor to cease healing his illness.) The narrative doesn't actually condemn this choice, highlighted by Murat's last flashback with him reuniting with his mother.
Murat is the one that killed Kasım and Bayezid in show, because he considers them a threat to his own power, first and foremost. Bayezid's the primary one, him being the eldest heir, with people wanting him on the throne from the get-go, when Murat was alive. Murat doesn't accept threat to his own power, and his brothers aren't exceptions, even though he told them certain times that he wouldn't put them in the kafes or take their life. Even though Bayezid became so much like his toxic mother (Gülby, I love you, but sorry.), prone to revenge, harsh actions and gaining questionable one-sided morality, his death was heartbreaking. As for Kasım, Murat took drastic measures, because Kösem thought Murat was dead and tried to calm down the people by bringing to them Kasım exactly as the next sultan. This was extremely harsh, because after all Kösem used it only as a desperate measure, to calm the people down and to apply the most optimal solution. Putting Kasım in the cafes when you once said that you wouldn't is honestly chief irony, reaching Süleiman's level, but worse.
Yes, Kösem was the one who ultimately sealed the pact to kill Ibrahim, but this was due to manipulation. Turhan Sultan wanted his death to pave the way for her little son and gain absolute power, so she indeed pushed Kösem's love and dedication to the country against her. She was put in a position where she had no other choice but to accept - we had a mentally ill Sultan as a ruler, one who could be reckless, one who could cause imbalance and instability and one who also doesn't really listen. So she decided his destiny and the theme of the loss of innocence, the core theme of the whole show, came full circle. She killed Ibrahim, but she wasn't happy with it, she was devastated and her conscience spoke so loudly, she couldn't unhear it. And that deed of hers made her give it all up - by the time of her death, she only wanted piece, nothing else, and she wasn't even interested in who gets the ring of power and she wasn't all that focused on her own death, either. Life was over for her.
Anyway, yeah, it all depends on interpretations of the events and characters and where your sympathies extend. MCK has really interesting and complex themes and I wholeheartedly recommend for you to watch it to drive your own conclusions. Thanks for the question and have a nice day!

Okay, time to write since I just found this🙇♀️
Couch cough
@atherflame-theconcubus <----
You were supposedly in the higher ranks, as seen and announced by the king, who ordered you(more of asked), to take care and look after his son, Sun, a bright automaton just as his namesake.
You were by his side more then necessary, and you could see how he wasn't all that comfortable. You knew exactly why, but couldn't do much while walking in public with a prince, you're supposed to teach him how to protect himself, but seeing he knows, you instead hang out with the prince when the two of you are alone.
You knew the king from the back of your head, his appearance giving it all off. Eclipse was always one kind of a king, but when it came to Sun? He was pretty strict and straight up with him, while he was kind with you, he wasn't with the prince. He is a two sides freak, and you don't regret thinking so, it's true after all. You've seen so yourself.
The King has warned you about a mystical creature that lived in the mountains nearby the kingdom, but while you believed it, you still weren't listening much, only when he asked questions. Sun was your main focus, seeing as the two of you grew a special bond, you wouldn't want to break it. But also couldn't betray the King's trust. It was a very complicated job.
But that's also why you've been training so much your whole childhood. You had been a very happy kid, no traumas or arguments or deaths or anything of the like, it was the life anyone would want. While it was fun, your sister wasn't the best part of it, she kept constantly tying to bring you down with her, but you were stronger, and didn't let her drag you.
By the age of 10 you have already started sword fighting with the guards, the old, nice ones that sadly were no longer there. You had such a fun time with them, mostly with Monty, who was like a uncle to you. Everytime you would miss something he would help you, showing how to do it as many times as necessary. He was probably the nicest, so was the other people in the castle.
Nobody had minded your presence in the castle for a long time, and Monty was the greatest teacher ever, so you learned more and more every day. While your mother wasn't the best supporter, she still approved of it, your father on the other side was more then excited to see you sword fight. You always showed your father whatever you learned, and he praised you so much you swear at one point you were barely listening at all.
Some time later, a lot of knights and guards of the like retired, they were pretty old, as some of them were humans, or to say, most were. You took the place of the personal knight of the prince, the King had made sure you knew every rule by the time of the second day in. You were a fast learner, so it wasn't much. The rules weren't much different from what you heard, so you knew most of them already.
The King was impressed by how much you knew, questioning you tons of things, which you answered truthfully and (mostly) correct. You weren't so sure why you were chosen for that position specifically, but you take a guess it's because of how young the prince was at the time.
You shake your head, no time to have flash backs while on the job. Today the King gave you a order to accompany Sun to his next task, which required a lot of walking through public. You weren't sure what it was, but as soon as the prince stopped in front of a big, wooden structure right in the middle of the kingdom? You were more than sure the King gave the prince another task consisting of his patience, as a future king himself, the King said he has to be patient.
While it was somewhat true, you didn't really like the way the King thought Sun said things, it was more forcefully than of free will. You could always do anything you wanted, you had weapons, we're in a high position, but the single thing is, you don't wanna. You'd risk everyone's lives.
You still wonder why the King is particularly only nice to you but not to everyone else.
It isn't your concern at the moment whatsoever as you step in front of the prince, holding the doors open and then stepping in yourself.
This place was like any other mansion riches had. Jewelry and other expensive things surrounded you as you walked in the long hallway. The prince seemed somewhat familiar with this place, given how he knows exactly where to go.
After what seemed like hours it was finally over, you dreaded at first it would take long, and you were right. All the prince really got out of this was probably another lesson he already knew. Many people mistook his kindness as a weakness and thought he's just a kid, you didn't do so, you thought he was special in his own way and that he was anything but a kid.
The King has sent a servant to tell you that the prince was now free for the rest of the day, you told the prince, and he nodded. Right when the servant left he immediately started jumping in place in happiness. It wasn't often he was free early, so now he could enjoy it.
Sun immediately took off, and you struggled to catch up, he didn't seem to mind you, picking up pace even more as you almost lost sight of him when he went out the kingdom. You weren't gonna call backups, you were more than capable, you trained for this and you weren't gonna fail.
Sun suddenly stopped in front of a small river that cut off the kingdom from the mountains, before you knew it, he jumped in, his clothes weighting him down as he crossed it. His clothes were a mess, especially the cape he wore, which suddenly was left on the ground. You knew he didn't like it, so you weren't gonna judge him for it, pretty fair.
He soon picked up pace again and went on the path that led up on the mountain. Dread washed over your entire being. This was the danger mountain the King forbid you from visiting or letting Sun get to. You were in sooo much trouble!
You ran after him, yelling out his name, trying to get him to stop. He didn't. His pace picked up even more upon hearing your voice, and you were starting to get dizzy from the sudden height you found yourself at. You stopped for a moment, looking down and regretting it, looking anywhere but down at how far off the ground you were. You were not gonna get scared, you were brave!
You recollect yourself with a short breath before you take off again after the prince. You weren't sure why it was dangerous, but you didn't want to take risks and guesses, you had to get the prince out of here.
After a while, you catch up, only to find yourself at the mouth of a open cave, which was huge in comparison to other caves you could see from here. Then you realize, as you looked around, you were so far off the ground you couldn't even see said ground, it was blocked by literal clouds slowly floating about.
You took a step back from the edge of the path, making your way on the cold stone of the surface change. You weren't a particular fan of this, but you had to overcome your fears, the prince is inside the cave, you have to get him back.
You inhaled as much as you can before exhaling as you went inside, hand on the bridge of your sword, prepared for anything that might come at you, or possibly attack you.
The more you walked, the more lost you felt. This place was insanely huge and dark, you could barely see anything. You could however make out the faint noise of some voices... The prince. Phew, at least he seems somewhat fine(?).
You turn the corner and immediately hide behind a convenient rock, peeking around the side of the rock to see Sun excitedly jumping in place, talking to a huge creature. A dragon. You could recognize it as so from a mile away and even by the silhouette of it.
While you did know a bit about them and about the myths of one actually living near the kingdom, you didn't believe in them, that is, until now when it is revealed to you they are, in fact, true myths. Oh well, time to focus, you had to get out of here then, the prince most likely wasn't in danger, the dragon didn't seem particularly mad or anything.
It had soft, blue eyes that reminded you of the sea with the wavy looks, the dragon had spikes all across it's back and tail, but they didn't look particularly dangerous or able to injure anyone. It's wings were unusually large, comically so, and were unusual in appearance, they seemed to have fur on the surface and were a dark blue color, odd but not unseen. It had a pattern the more darker the color got downwards, small stars all along, decorating and adding to it's many features.
The prince started ranting again about his day, but what caught you unprepared was how he talked so fondly of you. Well, while he was a bit young, you weren't expecting him to be so sincere about every and each word. You're surprised out of your very own body, was it all true? Yea, you weren't a party pooper like the King is, but you weren't that great of a person nonetheless.
You took out your sword form your belt, taking a deep breath. You hadn't been trained for this, but it didn't mean you couldn't step in, you didn't trust the dragon at all.
You shot from your spot, surprising the creature and the prince, who took a step back when you stepped closer, getting a growl from the dragon, who didn't back up, instead it's eyes darkened and you immediately took it as a sign.
However, instead of fighting it, you grabbed Sun's hand and ran away, hearing a loud, guttural and ground shaking growl form behind you, followed by you skipping down the path to get away, Sun now being the one struggling to keep up, constantly trying to get out of your grip, but you held too tight for comfort. It wasn't fair.
A loud whirl of the air is heard above you, looking, it's the dragon. It's following you, and it seems more then ready to fight you for whatever it wanted that you had.
You didn't think much the moment you are on open, solid ground and trees surrounded you, not many, but it was enough. That was the moment Sun got out of your grip. You didn't mind him, and suddenly, the ground shook beneath you as the dragon cut off your path. You were more then determined to take it down now.
You aimed your sword and went for it the moment it seemed distracted.
You were stopped when a familiar person, the prince, stood in front of the dragon, hand splayed out as if trying to protect it. You immediately froze, looking at him as he stood his ground, tears pricked at the corner of his eyes as he shouted your name. ", DON'T DO IT." He ordered with a stern voice, staring up at you in pure horror.
You lowered your weapon, you respected the rules, which specifically mentioned not going against the prince's wishes. So you stepped back, to which you could literally see him relax at, but the dragon however didn't seem as calm as he was.
You could still hear a faint growl coming from it, more then likely a threat, which to say, wasn't threatening, so it defeated the purpose.
At some point through everything you finally got a hold of Sun, bringing him back to the kingdom and the both of you agreed to not tell anyone what happened. When the King questioned it, Sun said he was playing outside the kingdom for a while but got lost somewhere, and you found him faster than expected.
The King praised you of your work, which you bowed down to respectfully, saying your own 'thank you'. It wasn't all a lie, but neither the truth. You suppose this is the start of something new, isn't it?..
Okay sorry, in no way am I making y'all slaughter such a cute(dangerous) dragon! He is too precious. I did change it up a bit, as most of my endings consist of being happy or silly, so no, I won't make sad and or angsty endings... Not yet..

Musical Scholar for Buddy and Richard
| musical scholar
Why buddy get two? because he is an adorable loaf of garlic bread uwu You will be okay - lol you also made mention of this song for Richard to sing to Buddy since I know you haven't seen the show imma give context. This song is sung when the daughter has a nightmare that she can't find her dad anywhere and it scares her. Which I'm sure is something the poor baby maye worry about when it comes to their past.
It always feels so quiet in the dark It always feels so stark How silence grows under the moon And its always gone so soon I used to think that I was bold I used to think love was for fun Now all my stories have been told except for one - I would say this is a nice start to the song because nighttime is ofc dark and its easy for a kid to get scared when it's dark and have nightmares. And With buddys past Im sure waking in the dark after getting scared wouldn't help them any. So it be like claiming them and reassuring them that it's okay its just dark out speaking of the night sky since Buddy likes looking at the stars. the second bit well Richard has lived quite a life and been through some things many of his stories have been told and things he once thought have been shown differently. But he still has a story being told now being a family, and more so being a father to buddy.-
As the stars start to align I hope you take it as a sign that you'll be okay Everything will be okay And if the Seven Hells collapse Although the day will be my last You will be okay When I'm gone you'll be okay -Tracking back to Bailey telling Buddy about his (good) grandparents becoming stars, this would be Richard alluding to the same story that Buddy always has family watching over him, even when things are bad or seem bad Buddy isn't alone and never will be. Buddy will be okay though because even when not right there Richard will still be there for Buddy, or his other family members as well ;3; looking out for him and all.
The day that you arrived the sun went black An artificial night You came and stole away the light And put it in your eyes How could I possibly suspect That you eclipsed the midnight sun I thought that I knew all the moves But then you pulled me back to one -This is for the surprise Buddy was when coming into their life, Buddy became another light in Richard's own life and had put the eagle though many unexpected things he never saw happening to him. How much he cares and worries over buddy, Buddy may be unexpected but he has also become the welcome unexpected surprise that Richard couldn't see having as his son. Buddy may be an AI but that doesn't even factor because what makes Buddy Buddy is past the artificial -
Basically Buddy was a surprise, in Richard's story but he loves them so much ;3; even if Buddy cant find Richard when scared Richard will be there and he wants Buddy to know hell always be okay because they have a lot of love always with them even when they aren't with Buddy at the time. I'm also giving you this song though uwu because I had two in mind and I think this would also be cute for Richard to sing to Buddy You are my sunshine I know this is a love song buuuut I know many who sing it to their kids as well uwu The other night, dear As I lay sleeping I dreamed I held you, in my arms When I awoke, dear I was mistaken So I hung my head and I cried -Richard would be very sad if Buddy wasn't around, he doesn't fully know (atm maybe?) what Buddy went through in the past but he never wants Buddy to feel he would be wanted in their new life-
You are my sunshine My only sunshine You make me happy When skies are gray You'll never know, dear How much I love you Please don't take my sunshine away -Buddy is like a little sunshine ball of feathers ;3; esp since they love yellow so much. Buddy is the dumbs sunshine and they found them so they are thiers now they would be very sad if anyone or thing tried to take the baby away ;3; Richard said it before he couldn't see himself with out Buddy in his life now -
I'll always love you And make you happy And nothing else could come between But if you leave me to allow another You'll have shattered all of my dreams -Buddy never has to worry about lose their place because Buddy is irreplaceable ;3; but and i;ve said it on discord Richard will need some time to get used to letting go as Buddy grows but he would worry that may mean losing Buddy in a way ;3; this is just general parent worrying. Richard wouldn't wanna push his baby away he's just worried and protective of the baby-

A/N : I started listening to the song Blue Neon by Aidan Gallagher, and it took me a while... But eventually I saw how it could possibly connect to the relationship between Beckett and MC! So I decided to write a fic about it, even though it’s past 1:30 am.
Obviously, I skipped some lyrics to choose the ones that fit him and my MC the best...
Also, this is loosely based off of the eclipse party diamond scene with Beckett. Not really, though, considering it doesn't follow that storyline at all... But still.
Pairing : Beckett Harrington X MC (Eden Pryce)
Warnings : None.
Word Count : (no idea, as of right now)
Tag List : @brightpinkpeppercorn @melodyofgraves
Feel free to tell me if you'd like to be added to my tag list in the future!
(can't add a keep reading link as of right now, because I'm on my phone, but I will when I can!)

In my mind, flowers surround her name.
Beckett Harrington had never been one, and never would be one, for parties of any kind. But when one Shreya Mistry and one Zephyr Hernandez mentioned something about an party in the forest, that celebrated the upcoming eclipse, he was quite partial to the idea of going.
No, not for the party itself. But for the flowers and wildlife he knew that he could find out there in the forest.
And another reason may have been because Eden Pryce was attending as well, but he didn’t find it necessary to include that bit when Shreya asked him exactly why he was getting excited over a party.
So when they finally reached the party, he quickly found the best time to slip away, and did so. He wanted to wander, and look at the gorgeous flowers that were surrounding them on all sides. Maybe it wasn’t as peaceful an environment as he would have liked, but he supposed he’d have to settle.
As he wandered on the edges of the party, inspecting the different species of flowers, he found himself glancing towards the rest of the party, at least one or twice. Every time, his eyes found Eden in the crowd, smiling and laughing as she talked to Zephyr.
But one time, upon glancing, he realized that she had disappeared. He looked quickly through the crowd, trying to find her again. That is, until he heard a cheerful chirping voice coming from behind him, “Beckett! What’cha doing?”
Alarmed, Beckett looked towards her. In the darkening sky, her pale skin seemed to glow. The white-blonde hair that usually cascaded over her shoulders was instead braided like a crown around her head, a hairstyle done by the one and only Shreya Mistry. Her golden eyes sparkled excitedly as she looked up at him from her short height.
Looking at her now, Beckett decided that he’d like to, one day, find a flower that could compare to her beauty.
Blue neon skies.
Clearing his throat, Beckett nodded towards the flower that he had previously been looking at. “I’m looking at the wildlife out here, of course. If I’m going to be forced into going to a party, I might as well make the most of it.”
Eden rose her eyebrows, looking rather intrigued. She gave a sweet smile, before nodding, "Oh of course, that makes total sense." She hummed in response, "But wouldn't you rather look at the flowers around here in more of a, I don't know... peaceful environment?"
"Of course I would prefer that, but I highly doubt anyone of you would let me leave without a fight."
"Why include me in that?" Eden asked, looking at him rather incredulously, "Beckett, I may be enjoying myself now, but I've never liked parties. So, any chance I could take to get away from this for a bit?" She paused, leaning forward with a rather mischievous grin as she whispered, "I'd gladly take it."
Light up her eyes.
Beckett could feel his heartbeat quicken as she leaned forward. It was like she was commanding all of his focus to be on her — which was something she likely didn't have to worry about, because that's where his focus always was in the first place.
Looking in her eyes, he could swear that he saw the stars of the bright blue sky overheard reflected there. Her usually dark gold eyes had lit up, a color similar to that of the sun that hung in the sky.
"So? What do you say?" Eden hummed in a low, yet cheerful tone, "You can study your fancy flowers, and I can get away for a bit. And of course, it's always nice to get a little extra time with you." She added the last bit, almost as if it was an afterthought. But the way she said it, implied otherwise.
Clearing his throat, he glanced away from her. He could practically feel the blood gathering in his cheeks. He hoped that the blush wasn't that noticeable, but he knew that his wish would not be granted, especially with the neon lights shining through the clearing.
"I suppose that that wouldn't be the worst way to spend the night," Beckett finally responded, after clearing his throat just slightly.
"Wonderful." Eden purred, her grin growing ever wider. She straightened back up on her heels, grabbed Beckett's hand, spun around on her heels, and then they were off into the expansive forest.
In a dream, I memorize,
Her fingers were entwined between his. It seemed completely natural, like they were two pieces of a puzzle that were designed to fit with each other.
Those are the thoughts that Beckett found occupying his mind as he looked down at their locked hands. Part of him almost forgot that he was coming out here to look at the wildlife. It wasn't supposed to be to spend time with Eden! His studies always came first.
But what if, maybe, they didn't?
Beckett definitely didn't like that thought. It was far too... intrusive. Of course he put his studies first. Maybe he was forming some sort of feelings for this upbeat, sarcastic girl, but that didn't change his entire life focus.
Did it?
Maybe it did. Because the more he thought about it, the more he found himself thinking about her. His time was mostly occupied by her and her group of friends (which, even he had to admit, they were growing on him the slightest bit).
He found that he took each of her compliments to heart. And even all of her not-so-subtle criticisms about his sociability, he was concerned with changing that for her, too.
Only when they stopped in a small clearing, far enough from the party that the noise was just muffled, did Beckett look up from their hands. He instead looked at her with widened eyes. He looked at the girl who had changed the world in a few weeks.
All the details of her face that night.
Eden looked back at him with her soft smile, the one that she seemed to reserve for only him, only when they were alone. The sweet smile that indicated the caring that was behind her very sarcastic words.
And in the light of the moon, right then and right there, he kissed it.
It was an urge, all of a sudden, as something he had to do. That if he didn't do it, maybe his entire world would fall apart. But he would never know if that would have happened. Because he did do it.
And god, was he glad he did.
The feeling of her lips against his, in that perfect fit that he would only ever feel with her, in the softness of the light around them. It felt like maybe they were the only ones. Like this moment was made only for them.
Finally, moments after, he pulled away, flushed but smiling. Their hands were between them, fingers intertwined.
But the best part of all of it was Eden's grin, and the happy twinkle in her golden eyes. He felt like his brain was working overtime in this one moment, so that he could remember every single little detail.
"It's about time you did that, Beckett." Edeen breathed as she rested her forehead against his.
Beckett let it soak in for a moment, before he finally responded.
"I know."

All Star Superman
What, does he play basketball now?
No but apparently he's immune to Corona and reads Fahrenheit 451
That was a joke but Superman is dying from Apoptosis BUT he's stronger than ever (which is what's killing him). Because of this, he tells Lois about his identity but she is suspicious of him and actually tries to kill him with kryptonite but he's becomes so powerful now that it doesn't work, not even kryptonite weakens him anymore.
He's not even bothered though and instead makes her Superwoman and they have a night on the town, still, he doesn't tell her. Jimmy gets in trouble, these aliens introduce Black Kryptonite. It makes Superman bad. The aliens have secret weapons, one of them is Doomsday which needs to be injected into somebody so Jimmy uses it on himself to stop Superman.
I wasn't going to say anything because it's not like I could draw this but some of the art is...questionable.
That neck ^^
There's a part where Lex shows off to Clark (that popular scene where he's complimenting Clark and dissing Superman at the same time) and says that he worked to get his muscles naturally while Superman's are innate then in the next issue it has Jon and Martha when they were first letting Clark go and Jon wanted to do the farm fields "the old fashioned way" with hired help. I like that parallel, people feel like he just gets stuff handed to him because he's Superman and so he feels like he can't help them.
Contrast that to Smallville where Lex has all this money but nobody wants to accept it. (But Jon doesn't do it old fashioned afterall, he just has 'other' Supermen to help him)
Then all of the sudden BLAM, a Bizzaro planet. Its purpose is to eclipse the sun to create an "All-Night". Bizarro is more of a hivemind zombie this time around and the sun hurts him but there's a specific "Bizarro" that changes things "Zibarro" which is the "flawed Bizarro" and since Bizarro is backwards then the backwards of backwards is forwards so it's kind of another human. Also "Le-Roj" or Jor-El backwards. There's also a funny joke about the Unjustice League
and a whole Bizarro national anthem. Then they shoot him away with fireworks. I also wanted to mention the pace of this comic. I feel like it skips over some things and jumps around a lot. I could see them building up to someTHING but they show A LOT, not just one...so we're jumping into New Krypton
Started by Bar-El and Lilo (yes you saw that correctly) they're Krypton astronauts that disappeared. But as you might guess, they force these ideals on humans and Supes isn't too happy about it, so they show off their power and break the moon with his back and even sew it back up with the nation's bridges.
Gotta admit, I kinda like that. They don't share Clark's new found power and become weakened, man nothing lasts long. Which is where I really start to notice that Clark is Jor-El's son, an inventor, a scientist, etc. They showed it off earlier in the comic but the thought didn't cross my mind, just "oh hey, he's got those hyper focus powers." The duo doesn't exactly like how Clark's been running things with Kandor still in a bottle and everything (though, I don't see them fixing it) I imagine he'll fix it before the comic is done though but it just goes to show that in this universe, science was prime on Krypton and Clark is really only scratching the surface and trying to put things in stasis until he figures them out.
I won't spoil the ending but overall I think this comic's strongsuit is pointing out some cool things in Superman's lore. The whole comic centers around his 12 great challenges which is neat but I wish it would've been a bit more organized, it's very broad about its approach, making this kinda like a speedrun for casual fans.
